Sean slowly leans over to his right as the only sound occurring was the wind whistling, and he peeks out seeing nothing around as he shudders. He then looks over and checks the other side seeing nothing as well. And he sighs quietly believing whatever it was is gone now.
Suddenly something wet splatters on the ground in front of his feet. And Sean looked up a rumbling growl was heard as starring down at him was a large predatory dinosaur; Giganotosaurus. The largest land predator in the Earth. And it stares down at Sean with menacing red eyes.
Sean's jaw dropped in shock of seeing a living dinosaur starring down at him as he almost thought he was dreaming in a bad way. And almost as if proving it wasn't, a bit of drool dropped from the dinosaur's mouth and lands right on Sean's face. He quickly wipes it off and pants turning back to the dinosaur.
And then the Giganotosaurus roars as it lunges down as Sean's sudden movements were enough to trigger it's predatory instincts. Sean gasped as he dive-rolls out of the way of it's jaws as they snapped right he was. Sean glanced and then quickly gets up as he screams as the Giganotosaurus steps around the rock and snaps missing him again as it roars.
Sean ran for his life yelling as the Giganotosaurus chased after him.
Meanwhile, Trevor, Chris, Martin, and Aviva were still looking for Sean unaware he was in trouble as he was by a wall of rock.
"Sean!" Trevor yelled out echoing. "Sean!"
"He's got to be here somewhere." Martin said.
Trevor then heard what sounded like distant booming.
"You feel that?" Chris asked.
"What?" Aviva asked.
Chris kneels down and placed his hand on the ground and felt a slight vibration, and another as it was almost rhythmic like footsteps.
Sean continues running and panting with the voracious Giganotosaurus right behind him as it roars out and rams through an arch formation of rock.
Sean ran as the Giganotosaur roars out as Sean was fast approaching a wall of rock, but there was a small cave opening as Sean sprints to it and grunts as he dive-rolls inside into a large cavern and got to the wall on the other side panting.
The Giganotosaurus' left foot stomps right outside and the hunter's head plows through the rock wall as it wasn't going to give up so easily as it roared and Sean screams.
But Trevor, Chris, Martin, and Aviva were on the other side as they can heard Sean screaming.
"Sean!" Trevor yelled.
They then rushed to the rock face.
"Sean?" Trevor yelled trying to pin point where he was. "Sean!"
On the other side, the Giganotosaur roars as he tries to squeeze through the gap trying to snatch Sean as he tries to stay back as far as he can against the wall.
"Sean!" Trevor's voice yelled muffled.
The Giganotosaurus snaps his massive jaws as Sean yelled.
"Sean! Sean!" Trevor yelled knowing Sean was in trouble.
Sean screamed as the Giganotosaurus struggles to reach him as he slams his neck against the gap.
Trevor lets out a frustrated grunt as he then found a piece of wood shaped like a club, and starts striking the rock wall.
Behind him, Sean screams from the roaring Giganotosaurus. And Trevor yells as he strikes the rock wall with fueled determination. The Giganotosaurus roars as Sean braced himself, and then Trevor continues hitting the rock wall hard as Sean looked to his left as part of the wall next to him broke apart. Trevor breaks the hole bigger as Sean turns back to the Giganotosaurus as he moves closer and the hole breaks bigger as the dinosaur snaps his jaws just inches from Sean.
"Come on!" Trevor yelled reaching through the hole.
Sean grabs hold of his uncle's arm and Trevor pulls him through the hole as they both grunt and the Giganotosaur snaps just missing Sean's foot.
And Trevor pulls his nephew out of the hole as both pant.
"Oh, God, am I glad to see you!" Trevor said gratefully relieved.
"Yeah, you, too!" Sean said just as well.
"Are you all right?!" Trevor asked.
"Yeah." Sean said.
The Giganotosaurus was then heard roaring.
"We should go." Trevor said.
They then rushed off and then skid to a halt seeing the cave with steam.
"W-Wait, wait, wait." Sean said seeing it. "Is that the geyser?"
"Yeah, that's where we're going." Trevor said.
Then roaring was sounded as the rock face breaks apart.
"Whoa...!" Trevor yelled as they looked back.
And the Giganotosaurus has plowed through as he turns to them.
"D-D-D-D... D-D-D-DINOSAUR!-!-!" Aviva stuttered stepping back and yelled.
"Come on." Sean said rushing as Trevor was shocked and ran.
They all ran panting hurrying to the cave.
"That's a Giganotosaurus!" Chris yelled completely shocked.
"Haven't you ever seen a dinosaur before?" Sean said to his uncle.
"Not with skin on it!" Trevor yelled.
The Giganotosaurus roars as they ran to the direction of the cave and the Giganotosaur chased after them and was slowly catching up.
"He's too fast; we're not going to make it!" Sean said.
"He can move at 31 miles an hour if wants to!" Martin said. "He'll catch us before we even reach the cave!"
Trevor looked to his right and noticed a blacken section of ground, recognizing it he suddenly peels towards it as the Giganotosaurus roars out.
"Trevor, what are you doing?!" Sean yelled.
"That's muscovite!" Trevor said as the Giganotosaurus went after him. "Same thing we fell through before!"
Trevor then removes his backpack and tossed it aside rushing out onto the muscovite layer.
"There's no way it can hold you!" Sean yelled.
"Can't hold him either!" Trevor yelled pointing back to the Giganotosaurus. "Now you run!"
"Trevor, no!" Sean cried.
The Giganotosaurus steps onto the muscovite floor, but the section he's treading on was not thin enough to crack as he continues chasing Trevor.
"It's not breaking, Trevor!" Sean yelled.
"Keep running!" Trevor yelled.
The Giganotosaurus roars out as they continued running unaware that he's literally treading on thin rock.
"He's gaining on you!" Sean yelled.
"I know! Keep going!" Trevor yelled.
The Giganotosaurus then lunges as he snaps his jaws just missing Trevor as he leaped from that.
"Oh!" Trevor exclaimed. "Whoa."
The Giganotosaurus continues chasing Trevor, but then they approached the center section of the muscovite layer as his left foot stomps over a section thin enough to crack as his right foot stomps down causing the cracks to form more.
"Trevor, it's working!" Sean yelled.
"Oh!" Trevor cried as the cracks begin to heavily spread out from the dinosaur's weight. "Aah...!"
Trevor continues running and gasping as the cracks got ahead of him as he was now several yards from solid ground. And the Giganotosaurus roars out as it was going to be close.
"Look out!" Sean yelled.
Trevor continues running with the Giganotosaurus behind as he begins to close in, and then as he left foot lands on the muscovite, it gave way breaking under his weight as he sinks through. And Trevor screams making a leap of faith as the Giganotosaur fell through the muscovite layer and snaps his jaws as he fell growling out. And then he roars out as he fell into the dark depths of the sinkhole.
Sean stood by the sinkhole as there was no sign of his uncle.
"TREVOR!" Sean shouted.
The four rushed over to the sinkhole panting as he got to the edge and looks around, and Sean soon found his uncle grunting as Trevor was clinging to the edge.
"I just remembered something." Trevor said. "I hate field work."
Relieved, Sean reached his hand out.
"Trevor, come on." He said.
Trevor grunts as Sean helps him as section of muscovite on the other side of the sinkhole broke off and fell.
"That was like... and then you were like..." Sean said speechless.
"Yeah, I know - really lucky." Trevor said getting to his feet.
"Wish we could say the same for our friend." Aviva said looking down into the sinkhole.
"Okay, that way." Trevor pointed ahead which was the sinkhole. "That - worse." He pointed to another section. "Let's go."
They then hurried into the cave as Chris managed to reclaim Trevor's bag.
Inside, they soon got to the end of the path as they saw a boiling hot river.
"Whoa." Trevor said.
"The river." Sean said. "How are we going to get to the geyser? The water's boiling."
"I don't know." Trevor said. "We need something that floats, anything. I could use a log or... what we really need is a boat."
Then thumping was heard as they then saw Hannah, Koki, and Jimmy in the river inside an upside-down Theropod skull as a raft appearing through the mist as they were glad to see her. And she used a log to pushed the skull over by them.
"Who had dibs again?" Hannah asked.
Trevor and Sean pointed at one another.
"I distinctly remember it was Trevor saying it was Sean." Koki said.
"Come on, jump in." Hannah said.
"She's the best mountain guide on the planet." Sean said.
"More like in the planet if you ask me." Jimmy corrected.
"You got that right." Trevor said.
Sean grunts as he hopped into the skull and Trevor, Chris, Martin, and Aviva hopped in as well.
"You didn't really think you were going to scare me away, did you?" Hannah said to Trevor.
Trevor smiled.
"You'll have to work harder than that." Hannah said.
Trevor chuckles as Hannah used the log to guide them through the river towards the geyser.
"I'm afraid I'm going to have to charge you extra for this." Hannah said.
"Can I open a tab?" Trevor asked.
"We should reach the geyser soon." Martin said.
Then thumping was heard as suddenly they were gaining speed.
"Whoa." Trevor said.
"Sooner than we think." Chris said.
"What was that?" Sean asked.
Trevor shines his flashlight and peers over the skull seeing the water level dropping.
"It's not good." Trevor said. "That's the riverbed. We're running out of water."
Then the scraping grew loudly as they gained speed.
"Oh, guys, we might want to hang on to something!" Trevor yelled. "This is ride is about to get a little bit...!"
They continued sliding as they then fell over a cliff as they all screamed as they fell down through a tunnel. They fell several stories before the skull got caught on a narrow section enough to break their fall to a halt as they all grunt from it.
And Trevor coughs regaining himself. "...bumpy."
Hannah pants as below them, a faint fiery glow casts on the skull as Trevor and Sean grunt.
"Is everybody all right?" Trevor asked.
"Yeah." Hannah replied.
"Where are we?" Sean asked.
"I think we're in another volcanic tube." Chris said looking up.
They all panted as they got up and looked down seeing a glow a few hundred feet below them.
"What's that light down there?" Sean asked.
"That's lava - magma - and it's rising." Trevor said.
"Thought there was supposed to be water in this tunnel, you know - steam, water shooting up the tunnel." Sean said.
"We're too late for the geyser - we missed it." Trevor said.
"You know we're gonna be roasted alive?!" Jimmy exclaimed.
"Don't worry, Jimmy, we'll think of something." Chris said.
"Can we outclimb the magma?" Aviva asked.
"I don't think so." Chris said. "The walls don't have much places to grab hold."
"Well, what do we do, Trevor?" Sean asked his uncle.
"Do you have any suggestions, Professor?" Hannah asked.
"I mean, without any water, there's no steam." Trevor said out of ideas. "Without any steam, we're not going anywhere. This place looks like there hasn't been any water here in two to three hours now."
"But the walls are still wet." Sean said.
"That's impossible, it's 130 degrees." Trevor said.
Hannah then shines a flashlight on the wall behind him. "Trevor."
"What?" Trevor asked.
"Behind you." Hannah said.
Trevor looked back and sees that the wall was wet still.
"It is wet." Trevor said feeling around the wall. "It's cold. There's water behind here. There's got to be water behind some pocket, or an underground river or something like that."
Sean looks down seeing the lava rising up still as embers flew by.
"Trevor, it's getti- it's getting closer." Sean said.
"Hey." Trevor said noticing something as he dabs his finger at a rock and sniffs it as rumbling was heard. "That's magnesium."
Then suddenly the skull jolted down a bit as Hannah shouts from the shift.
"Guys, we're slipping." Sean said.
"We'll be roasted alive at this rate!" Koki exclaimed.
"Flares - how many flares you got left?" Trevor asked.
"Uh..." Hannah went over to her backpack and reaches for the flares. "Three. What you want to do with them?" She gives him one.
"I'm gonna light the magnesium, this time on purpose." Trevor said.
"Oh!" Hannah said.
Trevor lit the flare.
"Hang on." Trevor said.
He then held the flare tip to the wall as they braced for it, but nothing happened as Trevor grunts trying to light it.
"Oh, come on." Trevor complained. "It's too wet."
The flare then breaks as he groans and he threw it down as the flare fell into the lava below.
"Got to get further down." Trevor said. "Give me another one."
Sean lights another flare and hands it to his uncle.
"Hold my legs." Trevor said.
Hannah held onto Trevor as he leans down as they all grunt and Trevor jabs the flare at the wall.
"Come on." Trevor said.
He jabs the flare a few times as nothing happened as he yells, and he held the broken flare and tossed it down.
"You're going to have to tie me off." Trevor said. "I got to get down lower."
Hannah got to the rope as Sean looks down at the rising lava.
"Trevor, it's getti- it's getting closer." Sean said.
Hannah ties the rope around Trevor and secures it.
"It's good." Trevor said.
Hannah then ties and secures the other end of the rope to the back of the skull at the junction where the neck would connect as she grunts.
"All right, you ready?" Trevor asked.
Sean then lights the last flare.
"It's the last one." Sean said.
They remained silent as Trevor grabs as they both held on to it.
"Make it count." Chris said.
And Sean lets go as Trevor leans back and grunts as he was lowered down as Hannah held onto the rope.
"Trevor, be careful!" Sean said.
The skull slightly slides and some rocks fell into the lava hissing.
"How's that?" Hannah asked.
"A little more." Trevor said.
"Hurry." Sean said.
Both Hannah and Trevor grunted as she lowers him down more.
"Lower?" Hannah asked.
"Little more." Trevor said. "Okay, hold off!" He yelled now low enough. "Come on." He turns to the rock wall.
"Come on." Sean said.
Trevor held the flare against the wall.
"Come on, light." Trevor said straining.
"Come on." Hannah said.
Trevor struggles to light it, but he then looks back seeing some cracks on the other side.
"Come on, Trevor." Sean said. "It's still wet down here. I'm going have to throw it to the other side."
Hannah held onto the rope as Trevor turns facing the wall grunting seeing the magnesium lines as he carefully aims the flare towards them, having one shot at this. He then tossed it out as the flare spun around towards the other side, and the end of the flare hits the wall as it tips over as the lit tip hits the crack. And the flare falls to the lava pool as the lit spark in the crack stays lit as they all gasped watching. And then the sparks ceases away.
"No." Sean said.
"NO!" Trevor yelled out echoing through the tunnel.
Then suddenly, the spark came back to life in the crack as Trevor saw this and gasped as the spark lights up growing in size and then explodes as Trevor yells.
"Trevor, come on!" Sean yelled.
"It's lit, it's lit!" Hannah said.
"Pull!" Trevor yelled. "All right, pull me up!"
"Hannah, hurry!" Sean yelled.
"Pull me up, pull me up, pull me up!" Trevor cried flipping up.
"Help me, Sean!" Hannah cried.
Then the wall explodes breaking apart as a gush of water bursts out.
"Faster!" Trevor cried.
"Come on, pull it!" Hannah yelled.
"Whoa!" Trevor yelled. "Watch the teeth, watch the teeth!" He held onto the edge of the skull.
The gush of water falls down through the tunnel into the lava pool.
"Sean, come on!" Hannah yelled.
"Get down, it's going to blow!" Trevor yelled.
Hannah yells as the water continues pouring down on the lava, and then a burst of steam rose as they all got flat on their backs. And the steam swiftly rose up lifting the skull gaining speed as they all screamed.
And the steam shoots them up through the tube at high speed.
"This thing's heating up!" Sean yelled.
"I know!" Trevor yelled.
Sean grunted as they continued shooting upward at high speed and screamed as they continued up through the tunnel and grunted again.
"Hang on!" Trevor yelled.
"Trust me, I'm hanging on!" Hannah yelled.
They continued shooting upward as then light was see above them.
"Is that sky?!" Hannah yelled.
Sean gasped seeing it too.
They continued shooting up and soon out as they shot out of a volcano as they smiled briefly in relief. But then their smiles dropped as they were then free-falling as they all screamed.
"Hang on, everybody!" Trevor yelled.
"Stop saying that!" Hannah shouted growing tired of it.
"It just keeps coming up!" Trevor yelled.
They continued falling as they then landed hard on a hillside and slid down it as they grunted as they rode down the hill. They then crashed into some vines as they all groaned as they were in a farmland, and soon some grapes were flying at them as they slide towards a house. And more grapes flew at them as they were getting hit, and Trevor laughs from that until some hit his face as he and Hannah groaned and Sean laughed.
At the front of the house, an elderly Italian man was tending his garden humming. "La, da, ya, da, da, ya, da, da..."
Then yelling was heard as the man yells as there was a crash and a dust cloud flew by the side of his house. And loud squeaking was heard as he turns to the cloud of dust and he lets out a fearful moan and rushed over seeing the crashed skull as Sean grunts and the man gasped.
Sean coughs as they got up with grape stains and looked around panting, and Trevor looks back to the mountain they shot out off.
"Hey, that's Mount Vesuvius." Trevor said.
"What?!" Koki exclaimed. "That means were 2,122 miles from where we started in Iceland!"
"Hey, Sean, if your mom asks what you did this weekend, you tell her Uncle Trevor took you to Italy." Trevor said.
"Italy?" Sean said.
"Si." Trevor said.
Then the Italian man was sobbing loudly seeing his wrecked garden.
"Ha piantato oui l'uva!" He cried.
They then turn to him.
"Uh-oh." Trevor said.
"I-II mio bisnonno!" The Italian man cried. "Avete rovinato tutta!"
"Anyone know to say sorry in Italian?" Jimmy asked.
Sean turns to his pack and brought out a diamond, and climbs out of the skull as Trevor looked to his pack.
"La mia vigna!" The Italian man cried.
"Sean?" Hannah said.
"Sean." Trevor said holding the backpack.
"Vigna, vigna." The Italian man cried.
Trevor then brought out a bag of the diamonds Sean collected back in the volcanic tube of Iceland.
"Are these the diamonds you collected from before?" Chris asked.
"What? I just took a few geological samples." Sean said.
"A few geological samples?" Trevor stared as Hannah was shocked.
"This looks more like a pound." Martin said.
"Okay, maybe a few pounds of samples." Sean admitted. "But what do you expect? I'm a scientist's son."
Hannah and Trevor then chuckled as well as the Wild Kratts.
"Look." Sean said to the Italian man showing the diamond hoping to make it up to him. "Look, uh, you take this." He said in an Italian accent. "Um, y-you take. We are, uh, sorry." He gives the diamond to him.
The Italian man held the diamond his sadness was then replaced with astonishment as he gives Sean the root on his other hand.
"II diamante." The Italian man said. "You want slide again?"
Sean then chuckles.
"Slide is okay." The Italian man said. "Is fine. Anything what you want." He then laughs.
Hannah chuckles softly as Trevor turns her chin facing him.
"Oh, oh, grazie." The Italian man said.
Trevor then kissed her as the Italian man noticed.
"Oh." He said as Sean turns to them.
Trevor moans as Hannah pulls away.
"What was that for?" Hannah asked.
"Now we're even." Trevor said.
He then chuckles as well as Sean.
"So... How do we get home?" Aviva asked.
Later, back home at the university, Leonard with a burger in his hand, was typing away on the computer looking for a new job with the lab shutting down.
"Leonard, I'm back." Trevor said stepping into the room. "Stop doing what you're doing."
"Uh, what, what am I doing?" Leonard asked chuckling.
"You are - ooh, look, you're looking for work." Trevor said seeing the computer screen. "You don't need to, 'cause you have a job with the Ásgeirsson-Anderson Institute for Tectonophysical Exploration."
"The Ásgeirsson-Anders- what?" Leonard stared.
"We're still working on the name- we haven't figured it out yet- but the point is: rising tide lifts all boats." Trevor said.
"Man, that's awesome." Leonard said.
"Mm-hmm." Trevor nodded.
"I-I think." Leonard said. "A-A-Am I a boat?"
"You're a boat; we're back in business." Trevor said.
"All right, dude." Leonard chuckled and fist-bumped Trevor.
Then Alan entered the room with a box. "Well, well, well. What's all the excitement about?"
"Oh, hey, Alan, how are you?" Trevor greeted.
"Good." Alan said.
"What you doing?" Trevor asked.
"Oh, me?" Alan said. "I'm uh, moving into my new lab. More importantly, where have you been? I heard you missed your Monday lecture and, uh, both of your students complained."
"Oh." Trevor said as they both chuckled. "I took a quick vacation. It was the best thing I could have done."
"That is, uh, exciting." Alan said. "You'll have to promise to tell me about it one of these days. Okay?"
"Not sure if I'll have time, but you can read about it in Scientific American." Trevor said.
Alan then turns back to him. "Scientific American?"
"Look, hey, I just want to say no hard feelings, okay, about the whole laboratory moving and expansion thing, so, you know, I'm actually looking for my own building, anyway." Trevor said.
"How exactly are you going to do that, Trevor?" Alan asked.
Trevor thinks for a moment. "Well, let's just say I fell into a small fortune."
Later at his place, Trevor, Sean, and Hannah head outside as Sean was about to leave. And the Wild Kratts were there as well wanting to say goodbye.
"So tomorrow, you're going to be a Canadian." Hannah said.
"Yep... looks that way." Sean said.
"I'm sure living in Canada isn't too bad." Chris assured.
"O, Canada..." Trevor sang.
Sean and Hannah chuckled from that as they got to a van.
"I'd say that was a lot of male bonding packed into very little time." Trevor said. "What do you say we, uh, take a couple weeks next time?"
"A couple weeks?" Sean said.
"What are you, uh... what are you doing over Christmas break?" Trevor asked.
"Nothing." Sean said. "I'm free."
"I found this in your dad's stuff." Trevor said giving him a book. "Give it a read."
Sean looks at the side of the book seeing, "Atlantis: The Antediluvian World".
"Lost city of Atlantis?" Sean said.
"Mm-hmm." Trevor nodded. "We'll talk."
He then noticed Sean pouring something in a pocket of his backpack.
"Sean, what is that?" Trevor asked.
"Sean, what are you doing?" Martin asked.
"I'm just- I'm feeding my pet." Sean said.
"What pet?" Trevor asked as they looked.
"Sean." Hannah said.
And then Glow Wing the Rosopteryx hops out of the pocket.
"Oh." Hannah said.
"Glow Wing?!" Martin exclaimed.
"Sean, did you smuggle a Rosopteryx back to the surface?" Chris asked.
"I wouldn't call it smuggling." Sean said. "You think Mom'll let me keep him?" He asked his uncle.
"I don't know." Trevor honestly said as the bird flew around and stammers. "He might not even stay here."
Glow Wing then flies away.
"Look at him." Trevor said.
"Hey, come on." Sean said.
"This is your problem." Trevor said.
"Where are you going?" Sean said to the bird. "Come on. I got some food for you. Come on, come on back down here."
Glow Wing the Rosopteryx flies off as Sean tries to get him to come back and away as it's a whole new world for him.
WILD JOURNEY
TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH
Author's Note:
And that wraps up another story.
I know they say it's a Giganotosaurus, but I think it looks more like a Giganotosaurus with a T. Rex head and shorten arms.
Speaking of dinosaurs, I meant to say that I've seen Season 2 of Camp Cretaceous: Chaos Theory. And sure got some answers about what was going on with Brooklynn before the incident, and of what happened that night with the Allosaurus. As it was actually there to draw her out and into a trap where that scary Raptor lady with Ghost, Tiger, and Panthera. And that it was actually Ghost who bit off Brooklynn's left hand and wrist off, and Ronnie saved her life.
Later on, I was certainly surprised that Soyana Santos appearing in the series. I actually didn't recognized her at first, and interesting she has a thing for art. And surprising that her mother was part of the team that discovered the Fighting Dinosaurs fossil of the Velociraptor and Protoceratops. And that Red was with her, answering the question of why she was with the pack.
But Brooklynn sure does have good acting skills of gaining Santos' trust.
And, boy, that fight with the Suchomimus and Hippo was something. I thought the Hippo might overpower it, but was soon revealed to be beaten when Yasmina got separated and saw the Suchomimus feeding on it.
And Kenji was sure angry with Ben after seeing Brooklynn alive and that he knew.
And know that I think about it, I believe now that when Season 3 comes, it might lead to the events of Dominion. Which means that Brooklynn could've been in Malta during the exchange of Maisie and Beta, and everything else in that part of the film.
