[LOG FILE 034: TORVUS BOG, AETHER]
As I continued exploring the swampy landscape of Torvus, I entered a rather large chamber. Looking around the chamber, I could see a central pillar with a bridge extending in two different directions. One end of the bridge led to a ledge with an inactive portal to Dark Aether, the other ended near a bomb slot that was phased out. Considering prior experience, I could only assume that I would need to go to that Dark world to activate it.
My musing was cut short by the sound of nearby snarling. I turned in the direction of the noise to be greeted with the sight of a new hostile lifeform. Two reptilian creatures standing on two legs, each with a sharp horn on their head and and hardened shell on their back. My scan visor said that these Grenchlers' weak point was underneath that tough back shell, which meant I'd have to expose it first. Sort of like the baby Sheegoths I encountered on Tallon IV…
I initially thought the fight would be short if I kept my distance while engaging. A blast of electricity arced from the horn of one of the beasts, disproving that theory immediately. Still, after a few minutes of using a mix of missiles and my Charge Beam the threat posed by the Grenchlers was neutralized. With their corpses now lying motionless on the ground I jumped up to the ledge with the bridge and crossed it, firing a shot from my Dark Beam to energize the portal in the room and transport myself to the Dark version of Torvus…
