[LOG FILE 035: DARK TORVUS BOG, DARK AETHER]
Upon reaching the Dark Aether equivalent of the Torvus sector I took a quick look around the chamber. There weren't any hostile lifeforms that I could discern, which was definitely not a bad thing. The water of the Bog in this Dark world was purple in color, and something in my head said I should avoid contact with it. A few scans of the area revealed a couple plantforms, one of which was somehow thriving in the toxic water itself. I decided I could ponder how this was possible at a later occasion; I had a mission to do in the meantime.
As I predicted on the surface of Aether, the bomb slot I had seen there was mostly on this side of the portal. I crossed the bridge and switched into my Morph Ball, jumping into the slot and activating a bomb. This had the effect of rotating the bridge around the central pillar, so that one side of the bridge was aimed at the bomb slot while the other side stretched toward a different ledge. My suit informed me that it picked up some trans-dimensional activity, so I could likely assume that the bridge on Aether's side had also shifted.
I deactivated my Morph Ball and took another look around the chamber. Unfortunately for me, I was unable to progress in other directions due to a number of blast shields blocking the most accessible exits. I'd have to return with some better weaponry in order to explore this area more; for the time being I jumped back over to the portal I had traveled through to return to Aether…
