[LOG FILE 038: TORVUS BOG, AETHER]
With the exception of the rain falling and the resulting moss and mildew on the floor and walls, the Energy Controller chamber of the Torvus Bog was very similar to the one I had seen in the Agon Wastes. The Energy Controller itself sat dormant in the center, and in front of it was a holo-projector. I quickly scanned the latter, and a green hologram of a Luminoth came out of it. The digital figure crossed its arms before speaking.
"A great warrior comes to the Temple of Torvus. May you succeed where I have failed." The Luminoth warrior spoke like a true veteran of many battles. No nonsense. I could respect that. The figure continued. "I am A-Voq, the last Sentinel of this temple. Heed my words carefully."
A-Voq's hologram uncrossed its arms and raised its hands up toward the sky. "As you can see, this temple has been crippled by the ravages of war. While the main chamber has been mostly preserved, the remainder of the temple has been flooded. You must use your abilities to venture into these flooded areas and find the keys you need to enter the Dark Temple."
A-Voq lowered their hands and looked at me once again. "The waters of Dark Aether are foul and venomous. Avoid them if you can." A beep in my helmet sounded, alerting me to a system update as the Luminoth continued. "I have updated your Translator Module. You can access devices and doors coded with Emerald holograms. Search the areas now opened to you."
I confirmed the update and directed my attention back to A-Voq. "The Ing will seek your light with great zeal. Do not underestimate them!" A-Voq raised their arms again, their hands sparkling. "The time for talk is over. Good hunting, and may the Light of Aether guide your aim!" As the recording ended and the hologram faded away, I got a notice that my suit's energy was fully replenished. I still had no idea how a recorded hologram could do that, but I wasn't going to complain.
Having received my task and not seeing anything else of note in the chamber, I turned to leave the way I came. With the update to my Translator Module I returned to the main Temple, where there was an emerald hologram projecting from the center. I scanned it quickly and activated the elevator, descending a short distance into a small chamber with multiple path options for me to choose. Taking a quick look at my area map I opted to take the one leading under the vicinity of the Energy Controller…
