Legacies and Lightning: Chapter 15
In the Sea: With Gato
Gato was standing on the deck of one of his four boats as they slowly made their way towards the land of waves through heavy clouds of fog; Gato was a short and unimpressive man, his expensive suit was the only thing nice about him. Gato was an ugly, middle aged man with brown hair, sunglasses and a ever present aura of false superiority.
Gato was extremely confident about his plan, for the past few weeks he's been hiring mercenaries and rogue ninja from anywhere he could to ensure his success; Gato was going to the land of waves to destroy the bridge that Tazuna was building and sack the village.
Destroying the bridge was the main objective but attacking the village was for two purposes; one so he can destroy any future resistance and second to pay the mercenaries. He told them they could loot, rape, kill and take as much at their hearts content.
As the four boats exited through the other side of the fog Gato smiled as the bridge appeared over the horizon; Gato turned around to face the 100 or so mercenaries standing behind him and began to speak.
"Ok people get ready, the bridge is nearly within out sights" Gato said to the surrounding men "when we arrive there get atop and begin killing the workers; after that make your way to the town and begin tearing it apart". The mercenaries began to speak and chatter amongst themselves as excitement over took them "do what ever the hell you want; as a treat from your beloved boss" he said "and if you see Tazuna's family, especially that hot piece of ass daughter he has; bring her to me and-".
"Hey that the hell is that" one of the mercenaries shouted and pointed off in the distance; Gato spun around and immediately felt his blood run cold. Off in the distance there were 2 large water dragons that were crackling with lightning rising out of the water.
'Wait a minute, isn't that… oh no' Gato thought in horror.
On the bridge: With Naruto, Anko, Kakashi, Zabuza and the others
"HEY GATO" Zabuza shouted using chakra to amplify his voice "YOU MISSED ME?"
"Lets let them have it" Kakashi said as he and Zabuza changed hand signs and the water dragons they created began to head towards Gato and his boats. Kakashi's water dragon slammed into the boat on the far right hitting the pilots box where the helmsman was blowing it up and sending electrified water all across the deck shocking any unlucky mercenary standing down below.
Zabuza's water dragon slammed into the boat to the far left also hitting the pilot box killing the helmsman and sending the boat out of control; the boat turned hard to it's left and hit the boat next to it causing a domino effect.
Both of the middle boats were hit by the ones that Kakashi and Zabuza hit causing a pile up and making them unable to move; upon seeing this Anko whistled.
"Holy hell; their plan went to hell in a hand basket eh?" Anko said surprised at how 2 water dragons basically stalled 4 boats holding hundred of men.
"Alright, time to earn our pay" Kakashi said before looking to Naruto "Naruto; are you ready?"
Naruto gripped his Fuma Shuriken and nodded "lets waste these dicks" he said; Naruto, Kakashi, Anko, Kurenai, Sasuke, Sai, Zabuza and Haku all shushined towards the boats in the water.
With Naruto and Kakashi
Naruto and Kakashi appeared on the deck of the ship that Kakashi hit by his water dragon; Kakashi appeared in a swirl of leaves while Naruto appeared in a swirl of lightning surprising the mercenaries that were trying to recover from Kakashi's attack.
Naruto charged his Fuma Shuriken with lightning chakra before throwing it towards the crowd of mercenaries; one of the mercenaries raised his sword in an attempt to block the oncoming projectile. This was futile as the shuriken sliced through him and his sword before going through another five mercenaries before Naruto used his static strings to bring it back to him.
"Holy shit" a mercenary shouted as he saw his friends get sliced in half; he turned towards Naruto and Kakashi and pointed "kill those assholes!".
Tha band of mercenaries all charged towards Naruto and Kakashi who got into defensive stances; Kakashi using his sharingan analyzed the group and in the span of a second got a proper count.
"Eighty three enemies Naruto" Kakashi said and Naruto nodded "lets make this quick"; Kakashi took out a kunai and Naruto put his shuriken on his back.
"Alright" Naruto said before making a hand sign "Lightning clone jutsu"; Naruto created 10 lightning clones who all grabbed the shurikens off their backs. Naruto grabbed his shuriken and shouted "lets go" he roared.
Naruto, Kakashi and the lightning clones all charged forward and met the mercenaries head on.
Kakashi closed the distance and a mercenary thrusted a spear towards him aiming at his chest; Kakashi used his kunai to parry the spear to the side before closing in and throwing a punch. Kakashi's punch connected with the mercenaries jaw breaking it and knocking his head to the side; Kakashi followed up by sending a hard kick towards the mercenaries chest sending him flying across the deck.
The mercenary collided into another mercenary and both men were knocked overboard down into the raging waters below; Kakashi turned and saw a group of mercenaries coming towards him. Reaching down into his shuriken holster he took out 6 shuriken and threw them towards the mercenaries.
The 6 shuriken all hit the mercenaries in their necks severing their arteries and dropping them to the deck before they could even get close; Kakashi's relief was short lived as he had to used his kunai to block a slash from a mercenaries katana.
Naruto was a few yards away currently fighting his own battle along side his clones; Naruto blocked a slash from a broadsword with his Fuma Shuriken. Naruto parried the broad sword and swung his shuriken using it as a melee weapon slashing the mercenary across the chest.
Naruto kicked him away before targeting another mercenary; Naruto readjusted his grip and threw his Fuma Shuriken towards him. The Shuriken sliced through his neck decapitating him before hitting another mercenary behind him; the shuriken got stuck and Naruto cursed as his weapon was gone.
A mercenary seeing Naruto without his weapon ran up and swung a club towards him in an attempt to kill Naruto; Naruto seeing this ducked under the club and clenched his fists and his right gloved hand began to crackle with lightning.
Naruto sent a rising uppercut with his electrified fist hitting the mercenary under the chin and knocking his head up; the lightning from his fist stuck to the mans head shocking him and causing his head to smoke. Naruto followed up with a kick knocking the mercenary back before turning his head and seeing another mercenary coming towards him with a hatchet.
The mercenaries swung his hatchet towards Naruto's head and Naruto ducked once more before spinning on the ground and sending a spinning kick towards the mercenaries ribs. Naruto's heel connected with the mans knee breaking it; the man screamed as his knee shattered Naruto continuing with his momentum used his other leg to send a round kick hitting him in the temple and knocking him out.
Naruto used his hands to spring board himself and landed a few feet away as more mercenaries rushed towards him; Naruto reached into his belt and grabbed the 'Sword of the Thunder God'. Naruto activated the sword and a blade of lightning came out of the sword hilt.
"Come at me you bastards" Naruto shouted as he gripped his sword.
On another boat: With Anko and Kurenai
Anko and Kurenai were on the ship to the left of Naruto and Kakashi fighting their own group of mercenaries; so far Anko and Kurenai were holding their own and are able to keep the enemy back.
Anko launched 2 snakes from the sleeves of her trench coat towards a mercenary; the 2 snakes opened their jaws and bared their fangs and clamped down on the mercenaries shoulders.
Using her snakes and her strength Anko used her snakes to swing the mercenary like a wrecking ball towards a group of mercenaries a few yards away. The mercenary was turned into a 200 pound flail as he collided with several mercenaries either killing them or crippling them.
Anko let go of the mercenary and recalled her snakes into her sleeves before reaching down into her kunai pouch; Anko took out 3 kunai with exploding tags attacked to them and threw them towards several mercenaries.
The kunai exploded killing not only the mercenaries she was aiming at but also several mercenaries beside them.
Kurenai was several yards away from Anko using a kunai to battle against the mercenaries; a mercenary with a machete swung at Kurenai and Kurenai raised her kunai and blocked the machete. Kurenai sent a kick and hit the mercenary in the gut knocking the wind out of him; she then used her free hand to grab the mercenaries hand and disarmed him of his machete.
Kurenai now with the machete sent a downward slash towards hit, the blade hit him in his crown and cut down into his skull stopping at his nose; Kurenai still holding the machete kicked him sending him flying back and freeing the machete.
A mercenary with a Katana slashed at Kurenai who blocked it with her machete before using her kunai to slash hit throat; Kurenai turned and was about to attack another enemy when he was hit in the head by a shuriken.
Anko jumped over and landed next to Kurenai "this is pretty fun huh?" Anko said as she went through hand signs 'Fire Style: Majestic Flames Jutsu'. Anko fired a stream of fire and hit a group of mercenaries setting them on fire, they jumped over the side of the boat to use the water below to put themselves out. "Haha, dumbasses" Anko laughed as she took out a kunai and stood back to back with Kurenai.
"Why is every fight a game to you?" Kurenai said to her "can't you take this seriously?"
"Oh come on; don't get your panties in a bundle" Anko said making Kurenai gain a tic mark; Anko looked around as the mercenaries surrounded them "hey, how about a little genjutsu action?"
Kurenai nodded and spoke "if you insist" she said; Kurenai threw the machete to the ground, put her kunai in her mouth and made a hand sign. The mercenaries that were about to attack them looked in on confusion as both Kurenai and Anko faded away.
"What the hell?" A mercenary said.
"Where'd they go?" Another mercenary said.
Suddenly from the deck of the ship snakes and rose stems began to shoot out and began to cut the mercenary's apart with ruthless efficiency; the mercenaries swung around wildly not knowing it was Anko and Kurenai moving through the crowd and using their kunai to slice them apart.
With Sai and Sasuke
Sai and Sasuke were both fighting on the boat that Zabuza hit with his water dragon and were fighting against the horde of mercenaries that were attacking them.
Sasuke was going through hand signs before stopping and taking a deep breath 'Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu'; Sasuke launched a fireball towards a group of mercenaries hitting them and setting them alight.
Not wanting to lose his momentum Sasuke reached behind himself into his kunai pouch and took out 3 kunai and threw them towards a group of 3 mercenaries who were huddled together before charging in.
2 of the mercenaries were hit by the kunai but the third used his own kunai to block the oncoming projectile just as Sasuke closed the distance; Sasuke jumped into the air and performed a spinning kick aiming at the mercenaries head.
The mercenary blocked the kick but Sasuke followed up by sending a frontal kick with his other leg; Sasuke hit the mercenary under the chin making him bite his tongue as a large glob of blood shot out of his mouth.
Sasuke landed on the ground and sent a series of hard punches to the mans chest and abdomen before sweep kicking him to the ground; Sasuke finished his attack by stomping on the mercenaries head slamming it against the deck cracking his skull.
Behind Sasuke a mercenary was closing the distance with a spear in his hand ready to stab him int the back; before he could strike the mercenary was pounced on by and ink tiger that began to maul him viciously. Sasuke spun around and saw this and looked over and saw Sai.
Sai was several yards away using his scroll to make creation after creation to battle the enemies; he's already made several tigers, ogres and centipedes and has taken out nearly two dozen enemies while Sasuke has barely taken out six.
Sasuke looked at Sai and scowled "I could've handled him" Sasuke said angered "stay out of my way"; Sasuke turned around and charged towards another group of mercenaries and Sai just smiled.
"What ever you say Sasuke; I'm just glad to be of service to my teammate" Sai said with a smile and a hint of sarcasm in his voice; Sai's smile dropped as he looked at Sasuke while drawing simultaneously. 'Is it wrong for me to wish for him to go rogue so me and Naruto can kill him?' Sai thought for a seconds before refocusing on the battle and making a hand sign.
"Ninja Art: Super Beast Scroll" Sai said as several ink sparrows with explosive tags leapt off his scroll and flew towards a large group of enemies before exploding and killing another dozen enemies.
With Zabuza and Haku
Zabuza swung his massive sword towards a mercenary hitting him at the waist and slicing him in half; another mercenary with a spear rushed in a spear aimed at Zabuza's back, but Zabuza already heard him coming towards him and was able to counter first.
Using the momentum from his previous attack, Zabuza spun around and sent another slash behind him; the mercenary could only scream as the blade went through his mouth and sent the top of his head flying off.
Getting into a defensive stance he looked around and saw more and more mercenaries pouring out from below deck but no sign of Gato.
'Where the hell is he?' Zabuza thought with a scowl 'where is that fat pig Gato?'; Zabuza was brought out of his thoughts by another mob of mercenaries coming towards him. Zabuza stood up straight and made a hand signs.
"Ninja Art: Hidden Mist Jutsu" Zabuza said as a thick mist began to cover the deck of the ship; the mob of mercenaries all stopped in their tacks and looked around.
"Where the hell did he go?" "Where'd all this mist come from?" "What the hell is going on?" They all began to say; suddenly a disembodied laugh from the mist began to echo.
"Heart, Liver, Lungs, Brain, Kidneys… all your vitals… all mine for the taking" said the voice of Zabuza; the mercenaries were completely blind and they could not see what was going on. Zabuza created 3 water clones and boxed in the group of mercenaries as they got ready to begin their attack 'time for the fun part' he thought as he and his clones charged in and screams began to come from the mist.
Haku meanwhile was using his senbon and his ice kekkei genkai to fight against the horde of mercenaries rushing towards him; Haku gripped 3 senbon in his left hand and threw them towards a mercenary.
The mercenary was hit in the neck by the senbon and rendered unconscious before falling to the ground; another mercenary seeing his friend get hit rushed towards Haku with a sword him his hand.
Haku turned and took out a kunai using it to block the oncoming slash from the mercenary; Haku sent a kick to the mans groin breaking his defenses before grabbing his wrists and performing a disarm. Haku took the kunai and spun around to the other side of the mercenary before sending a slash towards him hamstrings sending him to the ground screaming in pain as he was now immobile.
A group of 10 mercenaries were making their way towards Haku and Haku began to go through hand signs "Ice Style: A thousand needles of death" Haku shouted as he stomped on the deck. The water from the deck went into the air and froze into a thousand ice needles before they went down towards the group of mercenaries.
The mercenaries were all hit with the ice needles as they fell to the ground in pain; Haku had intentionally made the needles weaker because he did not want to kill anyone due to his own personal beliefs.
'That should keep them out of the fight' Haku thought before making an ice mirror and stepping inside 'now then, where is master Zabuza?'
On the Shore: With Yakumo and Sakura
Yakumo and Sakura were both looking out into the water as the battles raged on the 4 ships; they could clearly hear the sounds of screaming, explosions, lightning claps (most likely from Naruto) and the sounds of metal clanging on metal even through they were dozens of yards away.
Yakumo looked towards one ship on the very end and there was a bolt of lightning that shot out towards the sky "there's Naruto" Yakumo said pointing at the ship.
Sakura was standing beside her with her arms crossed 'why did Kakashi sensei choose to go with that idiot Naruto?' Sakura thought 'Sasuke's his student; he should focus on him not some orphan'.
As the battle raged on Yakumo looked out to sea and saw something "looks like there are some row boats out there" she said gazing in Sakura's attention. Yakumo reached into her pouch and took out a telescope and spoke "I see three boats full of men; maybe 30 in total" she said.
"Alright, lets go and take them out" Sakura said and Yakumo spoke up.
"Don't worry I got it" Yakumo said making Sakura look at her as she made a hand sign beginning a genjutsu.
The 3 boats were about 50 yards away from shore when the men all saw Yakumo and Sakura standing on the shore; one of the mercenaries began to laugh as he spoke.
"Hey look at this boys; they left some little girls to stop us" the man said "lets get to shore and fuck them up; then we can-" the man was cut off when a hand shot out of the water from the side of the boat and grabbed him by the pant leg. "What the hell?" The man shouted.
The hand proceeded to pull the man into the water dragging him down into the depths; the other mercenaries looked on in surprise when suddenly dozens of hand shot out of the water and began rocking and shaking the boats.
The mercenaries on board began to hack and slash at the hands wildly, not only hitting them but hitting their own boats as well, damaging them. The boats began to take on water and the remaining mercenaries fell into the sea and were subsequently pulled down into the water by the hands.
Yakumo looked on as her genjutsu took effect and Sakura looked at Yakumo in slight annoyance; Sakura wanted to get some action but Yakumo seems to be taking all the glory. However Yakumo looked to Sakura and spoke up.
"Hey Sakura; you wanna take that guy" Yakumo said pointing and Sakura looked as she saw that a mercenary had made it to shore.
"Sure" Sakura said as she ran towards the mercenary; the mercenary looked at Sakura and grabbed a knife from his belt and held it tight.
"You bitches" the mercenary shouted as he ran towards Sakura; he brought back his arm to send a stab towards Sakura but Sakura saw this and was prepared. Sakura grabbed the arm and perform a judo throw slamming him onto the ground; Sakura still holding his arm wrapped her other arm around near the elbow and twisted the limb.
Sakura snapped his arm making him scream and lose his grip on the knife; Sakura then stood up raised her foot and stomped on the mans head knocking him out.
"Good job Sakura" Yakumo said in a supportive voice as she jogged over with some ninja wire "I'll tie him up so we can take him to jail".
Sakura looked at Yakumo with even more annoyance than earlier; Yakumo and her genjutsu took out the majority of the mercenaries while she only took out one.
"Whatever" Sakura said as she turned and walked away slightly fuming 'patronizing bitch'.
With Naruto and Kakashi
Naruto slashed with his sword cutting through a katana like it was made of paper and also hitting the wielder of the blade slicing his chest open; Naruto turned his attention to another mercenary who swung an axe towards him.
Ducking under the axe Naruto sent a slash towards the mans legs cutting them off at the knees and making him fall to the ground clutching the stumps where his legs used to be.
Kakashi meanwhile went through hand signs and held his right hand as it began to crackle with lightning "Raikiri" Kakashi shouted as he dashed forward; there was 5 mercenaries charging towards him in a semi-straight line which was perfect for him.
Kakashi sending chakra to his feet dashed passed the group of mercenaries with the light of his raikiri making a blue line appear before stopping behind the group and canceling his jutsu. Kakashi turned around and every single mercenary had a hole in his chest from Kakashi's attack and a few seconds later all of them fell down dead.
He let out a sigh before turning and seeing Naruto using his sword to stab another mercenary before pulling it out and getting into a defensive stance; Naruto looked around and didn't see anyone else other than Kakashi.
"Is it over?" Naruto asked as he looked around and saw nothing but dead bodies scattered around the deck of the ship "is that all of them?"
"Yeah I think so" Kakashi said and Naruto deactivated his sword and put it up; Kakashi then took out several exploding tags and put them on the ground before walking over to Naruto "lets head over and see how the others are doing".
Naruto nodded and the both of them jumped towards another ship just as the explosive tags went off making a hole in the hull and sinking the ship.
Upon landing on the ship next to them Naruto and Kakashi both saw Anko, Kurenai, Sasuke, Sai and Haku standing on the deck.
"Hey guys, did you have fun?" Anko asked and Naruto looked at her.
"I wouldn't call killing almost one hundred people 'fun'; but it was something" Naruto said tired; Naruto observed that just like him everyone was slightly wounded. Everyone had bruised, minor cuts and abrasions and seemed to be exhausted; while the mercenaries were not that well trained fighting them led to fatigue which was to be expected.
"So where's Zabuza?" Kakashi asked and Haku spoke up.
"Master Zabuza is looking for Gato" Haku said as he pointed at the entrance of the ship "he's been checking below decks and- oh there he is now".
Zabuza appeared from the entrance holding the bloody severed head of Gato; Gato's face had a look of horror and shock permanently etched to it as Zabuza held it by the hair.
"Ahh…" Zabuza said with relief "I feel like a boulder has been lifted off my shoulders"; Zabuza threw Gato's head off the side of the ship and into the water below before speaking again. "Well I would saw it's been a pleasure; but lets be honest, I don't like you and you don't like me" Zabuza said.
"Couldn't have said it better myself" Kakashi said still bitter over Tazuna's death "what now; do you want to fight?"
Zabuza laughed and spoke "no, I got my payback and I have no reason to fight you; we'll see you around" he said before looking to Haku "lets get going Haku".
Haku nodded at this "Yes Master Zabuza" Haku said before looking at Naruto and the others "it was nice meeting you all; have a nice day". Haku and Zabuza both disappeared in a swirl of ice and a swirl of water respectively leaving Naruto and the others standing there among the carnage.
"Ok then; what now" Sasuke asked and Anko spoke up.
"We're going to blow up these ships and head back to shore" Anko said as she took out some explosive tags "lets make this quick; I wanna be home in time for dinner".
"Alrighty then" Naruto said as he took some tags jumped over the side of the ship using the wall walking jutsu to walk on the side of the ship as he planted the explosives 'oh boy I'm tired'. Naruto felt his muscles ached as he walked along the side of the ship 'I need a vacation after this mission' he thought.
(Time Skip; 3 weeks later) At the completed bridge: with Naruto, Anko, Kurenai, Yakumo and Team 7
Naruto, his team and team 7 all stood in the middle of the completed bridge looking at Inari, Tsunami and the rest of the people of the land of waves; Kakashi, Anko and Kurenai all looked out at the crowd and Kakashi spoke to Tsunami.
"We appreciate you letting us stay in your house Ms. Tsunami" Kakashi said before getting slightly saddened and speaking again "I do apologize about your father; I hope one day you can forgive me".
Tsunami nodded and spoke "I do, you and everyone else stayed here and helped the bridge get completed" she said "you honored my father by ensuring his death wasn't in vain".
Kakashi hearing this nodded and spoke "I appreciate it; now we should be going" he said but Tsunami stopped him.
"Before you go I have a request" Tsunami said as she wrapped her arm around Inari "we would like to go back with you to Konoha". Everyone went wide eyed and Tsunami continued "our village has realized that we are very unprotected; so Inari came up with an idea" she said and Inari stepped forward.
"I want to become a shinobi" Inari said bluntly "the village got taken over by Gato because only my father Kaiza was here to defend it; and were only here now because you protected us". "So I want to learn how to be a ninja in order to protect my village; even if I'm alone I can make a difference" Inari said; Naruto hearing this spoke up.
"Good for you Inari" Naruto said praising the boy "but won't you miss it here; I mean your house and your grandpa's grave will be left behind".
"The village will watch the house and dad's grave while we're gone" Tsunami said "Inari is dead set on doing this".
"If grandpa was here he'd want me to go" Inari said and Naruto nodded "I'm doing this for my village because it's the right thing; you told me that".
"I guess I did" Naruto said rubbing the back of his head; Anko, Kurenai and Yakumo all smiled at this and Kurenai spoke up.
"Alright, we can talk it over with the Hokage; a new academy year is going to start soon so I'm sure you can enter" Kurenai said making Inari "but it will be hard work and a lot of dedication".
"I already lived a life of hardship" Inari said to Kurenai "what's a few more years; as long as I can help out my village it'll be worth it".
"Well you heard the brat; he wants to do it so he's gonna do it" Anko said "alright lets get going; we're burning day light".
"Hold up real quick" a man said running up with a camera "let me take a picture for the news paper".
"Sure; why not" Naruto said as he, his team, team 7, Inari and Tsunami all got together for a picture; with a flash of the camera the picture was taken and everyone stood up.
"Ok, now we can go" Kakashi said as he began to lead the group.
Tsunami and Inari joined Naruto and the others as they began to walk across the bridge to head back to Konoha; behind them there were cheers from the villagers.
"Bye Tsunami; I'll watch Tazuna's grave for you" a woman shouted.
"Good luck Inari; we know you'll make us proud" a man shouted.
Naruto put his arm on Inari's shoulder and spoke "I know you'll be a great ninja Inari; and me and Yakumo will be there to help you" he said with a smile and Inari smiled back.
"Thanks Naruto" Inari said; as they continue to walk and reach the halfway point Inari looked to the side and saw a plaque.
On the plaque it said:
The Great Tazuna Memorial Bridge: Father, Grandfather, Loving Husband, Master Bridge builder and Hero of the Land of Waves.
(1 week later) In the Raikage's mansion; in Kumo: With A and Uzui
A and Uzui were both at the table near the kitchen eating breakfast; A had a large plate with eggs, ham, potatoes, bacon and steak and tall glass of beer. Uzui meanwhile had a bowl of oatmeal, fruit, a cup of coffee and water.
"Honey, why do you need to have a beer first thing in the morning?" Uzui asked him and A looked at her.
"You try putting up with my brother, a civilian council and thousands of pieces of paper work every damn day" A said as he took a bite of his steak "I swear if I knew being Raikage would involve so much paper work I would've stayed in the Anbu". "Hell Mabui even has a hard time and she's the person who supposed to handle the paper work; I might have to hire another assistant for my assistant" A said and Uzui laughed.
"Oh my, I'm the chief of police but even I don't have to do so much work" Uzui said; a few second later a servant walked up with a newspaper.
"You're news paper my Lady" she said before walking away.
"Excellent, now lets see what's going on in the world" Uzui said as she took the paper out of it's plastic and opened it "lets see… Land of Waves super bridge construction completed". "After several months and the death of the chief engineer the great Tazuna bridge was completed with the help of two squads of Konoha-" Uzui began until she stopped dead in her tracks.
A seeing this got concerned "babe, you ok?" A asked; Uzui ignored him and jumped from her seat and began to shout.
"YUUI, YUUI, COME TO THE DINING ROOM; NARUTO'S IN THE PAPER" Uzui shouted as she ran through the house.
"WHAT!?" Yuui shouted from inside the house "HOLD ON MOM,I'M ON THE TOILET; GIVE ME A MINUTE".
A furrowed his brow "Naruto?" A said confused as he reached for the paper and looked at the picture under the story; there was a group of 8 Konoha ninja and 2 civilians. A looked at the picture and found who he was looking for "oh yeah, Naruto… that blonde brat Yuui played with in Konoha all those years ago" he said "seems he became a ninja after all, good for him".
A looked closer at Naruto and his features; blonde spiky hair, blue eyes, goof smile, whisker marks on his cheeks.
'That boy looks so damn familiar… is he?' A thought before his mind came up blank 'damn it; I can't quite put my finger on it'. A put the paper down and continued eating his breakfast 'oh well' he thought 'maybe we'll see him at the chunin exams in a few months; that'd be very interesting'.
A continued to eat his food unaware that fate was about to intervene not only for his village but Konoha as well.
