Legacies and Lightning: Chapter 20
Kumo jonin lounge: With Anko and Kurenai
Anko and Kurenai were both sitting at a table in the jonin lounge as the room began to bustle with chatter and remarks about the first exam.
Kurenai looked nervously at the many tv screens that lined the walls of the jonin lounge; her, Anko and every other jonin sensei gathered in this building to watch the live feeds from the chunin exams. And as of a few seconds ago the screens went completely black before turning green as the night vision mode activated; the exam proctor named 'Suzui' announced that the genin will have to navigate the tunnels in pitch black darkness in order to increase the difficulty.
'Calm down Kurenai, calm down' Kurenai thought trying to calm her nerves 'Naruto is crafty in tight situations and Yakumo is smart, they can figure something out together'. 'They can do this, I know they can; we trained them to the best of our abilities' Kurenai thought with determination; Kurenai turned towards Anko and began to talk "Anko, how are you doing; I know you must be-"
"So I'll have a order of the dango, some cabbage in soy sauce, boneless wings with ranch on the side and… I'll take some fried pickles too" Anko said giving her order to a waitress for the lounge; Kurenai face faulted into the table as this went on.
"Do you want a drink with that mam?" The waitress asked "because with that order you get a half off a pitcher of beer".
"Oh hell yeah" Anko said with a smile before looking at Kurenai "hey Kurenai, do you want some beer or food; it's on me"; Kurenai rose up and spoke to Anko.
"How can you think about food at a time like this; Naruto and Yakumo are beginning the exams?" Kurenai chastised and both Anko and the waitress looked at her.
"Just keep a tab open" Anko said and the waitress nodded; Anko looked at Kurenai and spoke "Kurenai, relax; Naruto and Yakumo got this in the bag". Anko looked to one of the screens that began to light up "hey look, there they are now" Anko said and Kurenai turned; sure enough it was Naruto covered in his red lightning.
In the mountain: With Naruto and Yakumo
"Lightening Style: Flickering Light Jutsu" Naruto shouted as he began to glow with his red lightning shining like a torch in the darkness; Yakumo covered her eyes temporarily before opening them and seeing Naruto glow.
"Thank goodness for academy level lighting jutsu" Yakumo said with a smile and Naruto chuckled as he scratched his head.
"Yeah, finally came in handy for once; I'm so glad Ms. Uzui taught me this jutsu all those years ago" Naruto said with a grin "never knew if I was ever going to use it; but looks like today is the day". Naruto reached out and grabbed Yakumo's hand and surprisingly he wasn't shocking her as she only felt a little tingling in her hand "alright, so which way should we go?" Naruto asked as he looked to both his sides "left or right; you choose Yakumo".
Yakumo tapped her chin and looked around "most people who go left get lost" Yakumo said and Naruto nodded "we should go right".
"Right it is" Naruto said as he began to lead Yakumo while holding her hand "just keep holding my hand Yakumo; as long as we're together, we'll be fine". Yakumo smiled and nodded at this as both she and Naruto walked down the long tunnel; as they both walked down the tunnel both Naruto and Yakumo listened to their surroundings.
So far all they heard was the light buzzing coming from Naruto's lightning and their echoing foot steps; as they walked Naruto took another step and his foot sank into he earth a little.
"What the-" Naruto began to say until he began to fall forward as the ground gave way and the floor in front of him collapsed into a deep dark pit "GAAAAAAH" Naruto shouted as he fell forward.
Yakumo who was behind Naruto and still holding onto Naruto's hand flung herself backwards using all her body weight to pull back with a hard yank; Naruto was pulled back so hard by his arm that it nearly popped out of it's socket and landed on top of Yakumo.
Naruto was gasping of breath as he let out all his air screaming in fear "h-holy shit on a stick" Naruto said as he got off of Yakumo "Yakumo, you saved me".
Yakumo sat up her heart racing a million miles an hour and she looked at Naruto "no problem Naruto" she said as she looked ahead at the large pit; the pit went from wall to wall and was about 20 feet long "that's a large hole; how did they do that?"
"I don't know" Naruto said as he got up before helping Yakumo to her feet "but it just shows what kind of traps they have". "Alright then; now we just need to cross" Naruto said and Yakumo nodded "ok, lets use the wall walking jutsu and then-".
Yakumo held up her finger stopping Naruto and Naruto paused "listen" she said and Naruto tried to focus; off in front of them they heard clicking coming from the pit. Naruto made a hand sign and spoke.
"Lightening Style: Lightning Ball" Naruto said as he formed a ball of lightning in his hand and tossed it over the pit where it floated illuminating it; upon being able to see what was making the noise both Naruto and Yakumo both began to scream.
All along the walls were thousands of centipedes the size of small dogs pouring out of the pit like water from a broken pipe; there was not a single square inch of space that was not occupied by the clicking insects.
After screaming their lungs out Naruto looked over to Yakumo and grabbed her and held her in a princess carry "screw this, we're outa here" Naruto shouted as he turned around and using his lightning chakra to power his legs began to dash back down the way they came. The centipedes began to chase after Naruto and Yakumo and were catching up as the centipedes were not only ten yards behind them.
The centipedes then began shooting venom at Naruto and Naruto began to jump from side to side avoiding the streams of venom "crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap" Naruto repeated as he carried Yakumo.
Naruto saw a bend in the tunnel and turned the corner and in the middle of the tunnel there was an Iwa team standing there.
"Hey, you there stop" an Iwa genin shouted as he and his 2 companions took out their kunai and got into defensive stances "give us your key and we'll-"
"GETOUTAMYFUCKIN'WAY" Naruto shouted as he sent chakra to his feet, stepped on the wall and began running across it; Naruto and Yakumo both zoomed past the Iwa team leaving them confused.
"Hey, where are you going?" The Iwa ninja shouted before he looked to where Naruto just came from and saw the thousand of centipedes running after him "HOLY SHIT!". The Tsunami of centipedes reached the Iwa team and began to swarm them.
Yakumo looked over Naruto's shoulder and saw the Iwa team get swarmed; the centipedes began biting and tearing the flesh off of the genin. The closest thing she could relate it to was piranhas eating the body of a duck in seconds leaving only bones.
"Run faster Naruto, run faster" Yakumo said scared out of her mind.
"Well I ain't gonna stop to smell the roses" Naruto said as he continued running down the dark tunnels.
With Anko and Kurenai
"And we have our first fatalities" said the announcer on the t.v "three genin from Iwa, bad luck for those three; but hey that's the name of the game".
Kurenai was looking on in total focus as she just saw Naruto and Yakumo running away from the centipedes and wondering what they were going to do next. Kurenai has been on life and death missions, served in wars and in several other conflicts; but now watching Naruto and Yakumo run for their lives is making her feel anxious .
"Damn these wings are good" Anko said as she dipped a wing in ranch dressing before looking at Kurenai "hey Kurenai, are you sure you don't want any?"; Kurenai proceeded to give her an annoyed look. "I'll take that as a no" Anko said as she continued to eat, unbothered by Naruto and Yakumo's furious running.
With Naruto and Yakumo
Naruto and Yakumo once again went around a bend in the tunnel and up ahead they saw a door "Oh shit a door" Naruto said as he ran towards it "please be green, please be green, please be green". As they approached the door Yakumo with assistance from Naruto's light saw that it was a green door.
"It's green" Yakumo said before looking at Naruto "where's the key?"
"In my right pocket" Naruto said; Yakumo shot her hand down and grabbed the key out and Naruto spoke "Ok, now go open it".
"Wait, how do you want me too-" Yakumo began before Naruto threw her down the tunnel with all his might; Yakumo screamed as she flew threw the air before she hit the ground and rolled a few feet. Yakumo shook her head before immediately getting up and putting the key in the lock; Yakumo turned the key and unlocked the door before pushing it open and going through it to another tunnel. "Naruto hurry" Yakumo shouted as Naruto continued to run with all his might.
"Don't close it, don't close it" Naruto shouted as he charged his legs with chakra; Naruto jumped with all his might and covered 50 yards in a single bound before flying through the door opening and hitting the ground. "Close it, close it" Naruto shouted and Yakumo slammed the door shut.
Yakumo quickly used the key to lock the door and jump back just as the wave of centipedes crashed against the solid steel door making several loud thuds.
Naruto and Yakumo both looked at the door hyperventilating, Naruto from physical exertion and Yakumo from fear.
"Holy crap" Naruto said while huffing "I don't wanna do that again"; Naruto looked around and saw that no bugs were coming to swarm him or Yakumo.
Yakumo turned around to look at Naruto and when she did she pointed behind him "look, another key" Yakumo said and Naruto turned around to see what she was looking at; another key hung from the ceiling next to a blue wall marker. Yakumo walked over and grabbed the key before looking at it and the wall "a red key in a blue tunnel" Yakumo said.
Naruto got to his and spoke "Alright, lets get going" Naruto said and Yakumo nodded; Yakumo yanked the key off the wire tying it to the ceiling. After going so there was a seal connected to the that got activated ad a creaking sound began to emanate "oh crap, what now" Naruto said.
From the walls a genjutsu lifted and several pipes appeared; the pipes began to spew out water at a fast rate and the ground quickly began to flood "oh my god, they're going to flood the tunnel" Yakumo said and Naruto looked at her.
"Calm down Yakumo; lets go and find another door" Naruto said and Yakumo nodded; both Naruto and Yakumo ran down the hall as the water continued to rush out.
With Yuui, Mayui and Koyoi
Yuui and her team were moving down their tunnel trying to find their exit; Yuui's gloved hand was glowing like a torch as she focused her lighting into her fist.
As they walked Yuui looked behind herself to her teammates "alright, so all we got to do is find the door" she said "what key do we have again?"
"A yellow one" Koyoi said holding up a yellow key "but from what the marker on the wall said we're in a red tunnel".
"Cool, so all we have to do is find a yellow door then" Mayui said "piece of cake".
As Yuui and her team walked around a corner Yuui looked ahead and continued to look around "I wouldn't go that far Mayui" Yuui said "anything could happen in here and we should-".
Yuui paused mid sentence as the sound of something flying through the hair rushed towards her and her team; a dozen shuriken flew from the direction of the tunnel Yuui was going. Yuui instinctively outstretched her other hand and without going through hand signs launched a jutsu.
"Lighting Style: Lightning Senbon" Yuui shouted as lightning senbon began to shoot out from the palm of her hand towards the on coming projectiles; the senbon hit the shuriken knocking them out of the air and Yuui and her team got into a defensive stance.
"Who did that; show yourself cowards" Mayui shouted as she and Yuui faced forward while Koyoi looked behind them covering their rear; from the ground and the ceiling in front of them 3 figures came out.
Oboro, Mubi and Kagari came out of hiding and stood in front of Yuui and her group "hello there, pleasure to meet you" Oboro said as he tool out a kunai "looks like fate is on our side; we got some of our targets".
"Targets; why the hell are we your targets?" Yuui shouted "what did we ever do to you?".
"You associated with the boy who killed Aoi sensei; and that's good enough for us" Mubi said as he took out more shuriken "we want revenge, so why not kill some of his friends".
Yuui hearing this scowled before she and Mayui both relaxed their stances "hey Koyoi" Yuui said; Koyoi turned his head and looked at her "do you wanna handle this or us?"
Koyoi looked at the 3 ninja blocking their path and he spoke "I'll handle them, you guys take too long" Koyoi said as he turned "give me a few minutes".
Oboro hearing this began to laugh "you, by yourself?" Oboro said like he just heard a joke "I had no idea you had a death wish".
Koyoi ignored him and raised his left sleeve revealing his bandaged arm; Koyoi undid the bandage and a small chakra restraining tag above his wrist was revealed. Koyoi grabbed the tag and ripped it off like a bandaid and dropped it to the ground; Koyoi began to groan as his muscled began to tense and his veins began to pop out. A small glow began to show around him and Oboro and his team looked on unimpressed.
"Oh wow, he's slightly glowing; how amazing" Kagari said "lets kick his frilly little ass"; mud clones began to rise from the ground in the shapes of Oboro, Mubi and Kagari blocking the tunnel. "Alright boys lets-" Kagari began but Koyoi rushed forward both of his hands open in a 'knife hand'.
Koyoi reached the first clone and sent a horizontal chop towards hit with his bare hand; Koyoi sliced through the clone like it was nothing surprising the 3 Ame ninja. Koyoi continued his assault as he began to dash and slice through the clones in an attempt to reach the 3 ninja.
"Holy shit this guy's moving fast" Oboro said as Koyoi continued his rampage through the clones.
Koyoi jumped over a punch from a clone and retaliated with a spinning kick that splattered it head ; Koyoi landed on the ground and when he did so his feet were grabbed. A clone rose from the ground holding his feet but he wasn't worried; Koyoi pulled his foot free like it wasn't even being held and used it to stomp on the clones head destroying it.
"How is he doing this?" Mubi asked Oboro "for his size and stature he shouldn't be this strong; even a average size man would have trouble pulling himself free".
"He must be stronger than he looks" Oboro said before looking at the chakra tag Koyoi took off 'maybe it has to do with that tag he took off'. "It doesn't matter; just take him and those two bitches out" Oboro said and he and his team disappeared into the ground.
With Naruto and Yakumo
Naruto and Yakumo were trudging through ankle high water as they both tried to find their way out; so far they've been running for nearly ten minutes and haven't found a door yet, just more and more tunnels.
"Damn it" Naruto said as he continued to run with Yakumo "why the hell did it have to be this kind of exam; I'd rather take a written test, at least I'd pass". Yakumo gave Naruto a look and Naruto frowned "ok I may not pass but I'd at least get a question right" he said; Yakumo gave Naruto an even deeper look and Naruto relented "alright, I give up; but this still sucks".
"Thought so" Yakumo said before giggling 'Naruto doing a written test; that'd be hilarious'; as they both ran Naruto and Yakumo turned another corner and saw a dead end.
"Aww crap, a dead end" Naruto said as he turned around and looked back the way he came "I don't think we have enough time to go back; the water is up to our calves now".
"Wait, look" Yakumo said as she walked forward to the dead end; suddenly there was a drop off and Yakumo fell into the water going under for a few seconds before coming up "there's an underwater passage way; I can swim through and see if I can find a way through".
"Are you sure?" Naruto asked and Yakumo nodded "alright, but hold up"; Naruto took out a scroll and opened it. With a puff of smoke a rope appeared and Naruto handed one end to Yakumo "tie this around your waist; if you find a way through pull once, if don't think you can make it pull three times and I'll bring you back".
"Ok" Yakumo said as she reached into her pocket and pulled out a small flashlight "wish me luck"; Yakumo took a breath and dived down into the underground tunnel. Yakumo began to swim through the tunnel and saw that it was just as pitch black as the tunnels without Naruto's lightning; Yakumo continued to swim around as she went through a bend to see what was on the other side.
Yakumo entered and saw a light at the bottom of the tunnel and swam down to it; Yakumo reached out and picked it up and saw that it was a flashlight. Yakumo looked back with with the extra light and was immediately face to face with a dead body of a Kumo ninja; Yakumo let out a underwater scream and some air as she pushed him away.
3 Kumo ninja floated in front of her, apparently they all had the same idea as her and Naruto but they ran out of air; looking at the Kumo ninja Yakumo saw one of them had a key in his hand. Yakumo grabbed the key and saw that it was a blue key; Yakumo pushed the bodies aside and swam past and followed the tunnel they swam from.
Yakumo started to feel a little light headed as she saw and was about to pull on the rope when she saw some light above her; Yakumo swam up and saw it was a hole. Yakumo swam to the hole and surfaced taking in a deep breath "Oh *cough* thank goodness" she said as she pulled herself up; Yakumo saw that the Kumo team left a glow stick to find where they entered the tunnel.
The tunnel was not flooded and she looked to the side and saw a was not flooded and she nodded. Yakumo grabbed the rope and pulled the rope as hard as she could once; Yakumo waited for a few seconds until the rope was pulled once back on Naruto's end and she smiled and took a knee to wait for Naruto.
Yakumo waited for nearly two minutes until some air bubbles began to come from the hole she just swam out of; about a second later Naruto shot out of the hole and scrambled out.
"Holy shit Yakumo" Naruto said breathing hard "I think I just swam by some bodies down there".
"Yeah I saw them; it was a Kumo team" Yakumo said and Naruto looked at her with a worried expression "don't worry, it wasn't Yuui, Mayui or Koyoi"; Naruto let out a sigh of relief and stood up before reactivating his 'Flickering Light Jutsu' and the tunnel brightened up with a red glow.
"Thank Kami, I couldn't get a good look at them" Naruto said with a sigh of relief "ok Yakumo, lets get going"; Yakumo nodded and both she and Naruto began to walk down the tunnel.
Naruto and Yakumo both walked down the tunnel for several minutes before reaching a 3 way path divergence with one going left, one going straight and one going right.
"Ok, then which way should we go?" Yakumo asked and Naruto looked at her "you choose this time Naruto; since my decision last time almost got us killed".
"Hmmm…" Naruto said rubbing his chin and making a thinking face "I say continue straight" Naruto said and Yakumo nodded.
"Okie dokie then" Yakumo said as she and Naruto began to walk down the middle path.
Naruto and Yakumo both kept their guards up as they walked down the tunnel looking around and listening for any enemies; so far they ran into 2 teams, one was ready to fight before they ran around them and one was already dead.
They both walked down the tunnel for several minutes and then both Naruto and Yakumo began to hear sounds up ahead "hey Yakumo; do you hear that" Naruto said in a whisper and Yakumo looked at him.
"Yeah" Yakumo said in a whisper "sounds like a battle up ahead.
Naruto and Yakumo both began to walk slower as they reached a bend in the tunnel and they heard the sounds of fighting; Naruto deactivated his lightning jutsu so now he and Yakumo were in complete darkness.
"Lets peek around the corner and see if we should help out" Naruto said and Yakumo nodded "if they're not anyone we know, we'll let them take each other out before we jump in and finish off who ever wins".
"And then we take their keys" Yakumo added and Naruto nodded.
"Correct" Naruto said as he and Yakumo peered around the corner; upon doing so they both went wide eyed "holy crap".
With Yuui, Koyoi and Mayui
Yuui and Mayui were both standing back relaxing while Koyoi was continuing to tear apart the mud clones created by Oboro and his team; so far he's been at it for a few minutes and has been showing no signs of slowing down.
"Damn he's been going at this for a while now" Mayui said to Yuui "should we jump in; I mean we do need to move on?"
"Nah it'll be fine" Yuui said waving off the worry "Koyoi hardly ever gets to let loose like this; it's good for him to blow off some steam".
"Hyaaah" Koyoi shouted as he chopped a mud clone in half with his bare hands; so far the mud clones have not been slowing down as dozens of clones were still rising out of the ground to attack him. As he destroyed another mud clone with a punch, four more clones shot out from the ground in all directions rushing towards Koyoi in an attempt to tackle him down.
Koyoi seeing this jumped up into the air and did a flip as the clones reached where he was just at "Take this" Koyoi shouted as he came down with a stomp; Koyoi's stomp smashed through the clones and hit the ground underneath.
Cracks began to form a long the tunnel grounds and and the entire area began to shake from the impact; suddenly from behind Koyoi, Kagari came out of the ground wielding a kunai.
'Got you now you asshole' Kagari thought as he thrusted the kunai forward; Koyoi turned around and opened his palm towards the kunai. The kunai hit Koyoi's palm and it did not penetrate; Koyoi closed his hand around the blade and proceeded to snap it in half.
"Nice try" Koyoi said as he reached out with his left hand, grabbed Kagari by the neck and pulled him towards him; Koyoi sent a right straight into Kagari's stomach and the result was Kagari being sent flying back down the path he, Yuui and Mayui came down.
Yuui seeing Kagari coming towards her sidestepped to the left and held her right arm out straight; Kagari was then 'close lined' by Yuui and knocked to the ground. Kagari laid on the ground unconscious and Yuui didn't know if it was because of Koyoi's punch or her putting her arm out; Yuui shrugged and took out come ninja wire.
"Sorry dude, gotta tie you up now" Yuui said as she began to tie him up.
"Damn it" Oboro said from behind his wall of clones with Mubi beside him "they got Kagari".
"What should we do now?" Mubi asked and Oboro looked at him "our clones aren't even slowing him down; should we just run away?"
"No you idiot" Oboro said as he looked at his teammate "we still have to get Kamari back at the very least"; Mubi nodded and Obito looked forward towards Yuui and Mayui. "I'll take on the tall girl, you take on the other one" Oboro said "and when we take them out, we'll-".
Oboro paused mid sentence as he heard something behind him and he spun around to see several lightning covered senbon coming towards him and Mubi.
Naruto took out some of his senbon and charged them with lightning chakra just like Uzumaki showed him all those years ago; he launched them towards Oboro and Mubi when they were distracted.
"Mubi, get down" Oboro shouted as he went back into the earth; Mubi however was too slow to heed his warning and was hit by the senbon. When the senbon hit Mubi's muscles constricted and he began to scream in pain.
Yuui and Mayui saw this and Mayui spoke "hey, what happened to him?" Mayui said and Yuui looked ahead as Mubi saw frozen in place "it's like he got hit by a taser".
Yuui looked closely and saw several senbon sticking out of his back that were still crackling with lightning; and just behind him there was Naruto and Yakumo running up and Yuui got a smile.
"It's Naruto and Yakumo" Yuui said with an excited voice "they're here".
Yakumo was running full speed at Mubi when she jumped into the air and began to spin around before launching a kick; Yakumo sent a spinning back kick to the side of Mubi's head. The kick was enough to send him flying into the tunnel wall and knocking him out; Yakumo landed and Naruto ran past her.
Naruto reached behind himself and made a hand sign and with a puff of smoke a fuma shuriken appeared; Naruto charged it with lightning chakra and brought his arm back "Koyoi, duck" Naruto shouted gaining his attention.
Naruto threw his fuma shuriken and Koyoi ducked down as the shuriken approached; the shuriken began to slice through the mud clones destroying them. Koyoi seeing this smiled and looked towards Naruto "What took you so long?" Koyoi said and Naruto smiled back.
"I got stuck in traffic" Naruto said as he used his static strings to control his Fuma shuriken; Naruto pulled the shuriken back towards himself and when it was close he caught it. Upon catching it Naruto looked around and saw that Oboro was nowhere to be seen "alright asshole; lets take a time out" Naruto shouted in the tunnel "we got two of your friends; and if you don't want us to kill them, you better knock it off". There was no response but Naruto continued "if you let us leave, we'll give them back; go our separate ways" Naruto said with no audible response "sound good?".
Yakumo, Yuui, Mayui and Koyoi waited for a response, luckily they didn't have to wait long as Oboro rose from the ground with his hands in the air.
"Fine" Oboro said in a growl "but this is far from over".
"Yeah, yeah" Naruto said before looking at Yuui and the others "lets go, these guys are done"; Naruto and Yakumo both walked past Oboro and approached Koyoi before running over to Yuui and Mayui. "Hey guys, you doing ok?" Naruto asked and Yuui nodded.
"Yeah, we had it handled, but thanks for the assist" Yuui said "come on, lets head back the way we came"; Naruto and Yakumo nodded and everyone went down the tunnel leaving Oboro and his 2 unconscious teammates alone.
'Damn it all to hell' Oboro thought with a scowl; he made 2 more mud clones that went over and picked up his teammates 'you idiots better wake up soon; we can't let them slip through our fingers'.
With Naruto, Yuui, Yakumo, Mayui and Koyoi
"Holy crap, are we glad to see you guys" Mayui said as she ran next to Yakumo "how have you guys been; anything interesting happen to you?"
"Yeah, man eating centipedes, the Iwa team that got eaten by them, a flooding tunnel, a dead Kumo team" Naruto said "not exactly a great start".
"Well it doesn't matter; you're with us now" Yuui said as she patting Naruto's back "and with our combined strength, we can win this thing".
"Damn straight" Koyoi said "we're going to kick butt"; suddenly Koyoi had a moment of realization. "Oh crud, almost forgot" Koyoi said as he reached into his jacket pocket and took out a chakra seal and placed it on his arm "got to reapply my seal".
Naruto was about to answer a question when Yuui spoke up "hey look a door" Yuui said as she pointed up ahead; in front of them at the end of the tunnel there was a blue door "damn, the door is blue". Yuui and her team stopped in front of it and she groaned "crap, our key is yellow" she said.
"Ahem" Yakumo said clearing her throat and everyone looked at her; she reached into her pocket and produced the blue key she took from the dead Kumo team "looks like, I'm coming in to save the day".
"Hell yeah Yakumo" Naruto said giving her a slap on the back "look at you, coming in for the win; such a team player"; Yakumo blushed at this and Naruto looked at his 4 friends and spoke. "Ok guys" Naruto said with a smile "lets win this thing"; Yakumo walked over, put the key inside the door and the turned the lock. The door unlocked and Yakumo opened the door with everyone else looking on expecting to see a empty tunnel.
Instead the team was now face to face with a single Konoha genin; he was about the same age as Yuui, wearing a mostly purple uniform, white hair done into a pony tail and glasses. He was along and almost in complete darkness as his flashlight was nearly dead as the bulb was flickering and he was holding a blue key as well.
"Oh thank goodness, people" the boy said with a smile "I was lost and I didn't think I'd find anyone".
"Uhh… who're you?" Naruto asked confused 'was he with us when we left Konoha?'
"Oh my bad, I didn't introduce myself; my name is Kabuto" Kabuto said with a kind smile "pleasure to meet you all".
