Azelma couldn't understand. She was just a slave. Normally, anyone in this world would have no qualms about pretending to be her friend and then giving her back to her former master, in order to receive money.
Yet, as many explosions could be heard, Azelma saw Usopp standing on his wooden crate, while many people were lying on the ground.
Seeming to have boundless courage now that he had his mask in front of his face, Sogeking affirmed.
"I fought CP9 and escaped from Enies Lobby after burning the World Government flag! Why should I be afraid of you?"
"Tsss! Stupid masked hero." The man who had kidnapped Azelma roared. "Don't you realize the crime you're committing? By protecting this slave, you're declaring war on the Tenryubitos."
"So what? Even if I'm forced to fight the World Government, the Yonkos, or who knows who, I refuse to let an innocent woman live in fear! A slave's life is nothing but a life of endless torture! As a hero, it's my duty to save her."
Continuing to smile, Domaca appeared nostalgic.
"I feel like I'm hearing myself when I was 50 years younger! At that time, I still thought that heroes could exist."
Snapping his fingers, he ordered.
"Rocco! Show him the difference between reality and the world of dreams."
Immediately, the obese man took a step towards Usopp.
"I admire your courage." Rocco stated, staring at Sogeking. "Few people would dare to defy the world government, as you do! Therefore, as a sign of respect, I would be willing to play blind and let you go, if you give up immediately."
'' FIRE BIRD STAR ! ''
Giving him his answer, Sogeking ignited a flaming projectile towards him. Being an easy target, Rocco felt the projectile hit his abdomen, before covering him in flames.
"AHHHHHHHHH!" He yelled. "HOOOOOTTTTTTT!"
"A hero would rather die than deny his values," Sogeking assured.
However, his eyes widened when he saw the flames disappear. Opening his mouth, Rocco seemed to suck them in. Then, once his mouth was full, he swallowed them.
"WHAT? He ate his flames?"
"Not bad." Rocco said, as a little smoke came out of his nostrils. "I have to admit I was a little hungry."
Then getting into a fighting stance, he let his hair and arms catch fire.
"And now it's time for the counterattack."
'' EXPLODING STAR ! ''
Seeing the projectile hurtling towards him, Rocco curled up into a ball, before spinning around at full speed. Resembling a ball of fire, the man then rushed towards the projectile, which exploded upon hitting him.
However, continuing to roll, Rocco headed towards Usopp at full speed, while he didn't seem to have felt anything.
'' You will die. ''
'' MOM ! '' Created Sogeking.
However, before he could touch him, Domaca saw a figure position itself in front of Rocco. Then, a pair of hands grabbed the obese man, while his colossal strength managed to stop him.
"What?" Rocco asked, having stopped rolling.
In front of him, displaying a confident smile, Franky had managed to stop him, despite the fact that the skin of his hands had been burned.
"Hey, fat ball! I advise you not to pick on my friend! It might piss me off."
"FRANKY!" Sogeking rejoiced.
"Who are you?" Rocco asked, stunned at having been stopped.
"I don't see why I should write you my biography," Franky retorted. "But if you want to..."
Suddenly he directed his hand towards Rocco and violently hit his abdomen with his fist.
"You can get to know my punch."
Immediately, Rocco's body flew backwards before crashing into the hull of the government ship. Seeing this, Domaca showed no emotion on his face, as he muttered.
" Bakayaki!"
Immediately, the long-tongued punk rushed towards Franky. Holding a scythe in his hands, he swung it towards the cyborg. However, several ropes wrapped around the man and managed to tie him up.
Making a strange sound, Bakayari tried in vain to free himself, while Paulie was facing him.
"World Government." The carpenter growled. "When are you finally going to use your brains and leave Mugiwara and his friends alone?"
"I see that Mugiwara has managed to find new allies quickly." Domaca remarked. "But no matter, it's not like you can defeat us! Rocco... Bakayaki..."
Immediately getting up, Rocco didn't seem to be hurt at all by Franky's attack. Tilting his head to the side, to crack the muscles in his neck, the man then ran towards the cyborg.
"Do you want to fight again?" Franky asked, puffing out his cheeks. "I'll turn you into a roast pig."
"Franky… DON'T DO THAT!" Sogeking shouted.
Too late. Spitting flames, Franky let them hit Rocco. However, like with Usopp, Rocco opened his mouth and began to suck them in.
"What?" Franky wondered, seeing him eat his flames.
Then, his stomach swollen, Rocco rushed towards Franky, before igniting his fists.
'' CHICKEN FIRE PUNCH ! ''
Hit hard, Franky felt like he could feel the left side of his face starting to melt.
'' ARRRGGGGGHHHHH ! "
'' FRANKY ! ''
"Damn it!" Paulie growled, pointing one of his hands at Rocco.
However, stopping his gesticulation, Bakayaki made a strange sound resembling laughter. Then, letting his body transform, the punk took on the appearance of a shadow, before disappearing into the ground.
'' What ? ''
Taking advantage of every shadow, Bakayaki moved towards Paulie. Then, once in Paulie's shadow, Bakayaki emerged from the ground and stood in front of the carpenter.
'' How ? ''
''Bakayaki is able to transform into a shadow and has no trouble moving in any shadowy area.'' Domaca assured. ''Trying to capture him with a rope is as ridiculous as attacking a dragon with a toothpick.''
Now facing Paulie, Bakayaki raised his scythe and aimed it at the carpenter.
'' CACTUS STAR ! ''
Exploding upon hitting his body, a projectile released a multitude of iron thorns that dug into Bakayaki's skin. Letting out a cry of pain, the punk immediately turned towards Sogeking, who prepared his second shot.
'' SHURIKEN ! ''
Seeing a multitude of shurikens heading towards them, Paulie jumped to the side. Seeming less reactive, Bakayaki remained still. Then, suddenly, he made a quick gesture with his scythe. Stopping immediately, Usopp's shurikens were cut in two, before falling to the ground. Bakyaki had stopped them with a single gesture.
'' What ? ''
Then, transforming back into a shadow, the punk moved across the surface of the ground, before appearing in front of Usopp. However, having had time to anticipate his move, Sogeking directed a dial towards his opponent, as soon as he came out of the ground.
'' FLASH ! ''
Feeling like his retinas were burning, Bakayaki took a step back, while he was unable to open his eyes. Taking advantage of this, Usopp aimed at him again.
'' EXPLODING … ''
Unfortunately, even blind, Bakayaki knew the sniper's position perfectly. As a result, spinning like a top, the punk had no trouble using his scythe to slash Sogeking's arms.
With a cry of pain, the sniper dropped his slingshot, blood streaming down his wounded arms.
'' AHHHHHHHHH ! ''
"SHIT!" Paulie growled, running towards the duo.
However, before he could do anything, Rocco threw Franky's body in his direction and Paulie found himself hit by the cyborg.
'' ARGH ! ''
With no one to hinder him, and regaining his sight, Bakayaki then raised his scythe and brought it down towards Sogeking.
Heracross use MEGAHORN.
Hitted violently in the abdomen, Bakayaki spat saliva and felt himself moving backwards. Having been surprised by the sudden arrival of the pokemon, he had not had time to transform into a shadow to avoid its attack. However, remaining conscious, the punk positioned his scythe in front of him, and managed to stop Zoro's swords.
Having let the pokemon take him here, Zoro wanted to finish off Sogeking's opponent. Unfortunately, acting quickly, despite the attack he had just received, Bakayaki had avoided being slashed by Zoro. Then, transforming into a shadow, the punk left this combat zone, to reappear not far from the boat.
''HERACROSS… ZORO…'' Sogeking cried, sobbing.
Barely glancing at him, Zoro stared at the enemies in front of him. Thus, he saw Domaca, Rocco, Bakayaki, the man in the cape and some government agents. And behind them, was Azelma, who thought she was hallucinating.
"Zoro…" she whispered, feeling tears running down her cheek again.
Seeing this, Zoro sighed.
"Idiot! When will you stop crying like a child? You have no reason to be afraid! I'm taking you home."
Then he turned his gaze to the government agents.
"In five minutes I'll have them all disemboweled."
Having the bad idea of meeting his gaze, the ordinary agents took a step back. Feeling a murderous aura coming from the swordsman's body, they had the impression of seeing the devil himself.
"Who is this guy?"
"It's Roronoa! He's wanted for 60 million berries."
"60 million? We have no chance of beating this guy."
'' Hey ! ''
Freezing, the ordinary agents turned to Domaca. Despite the comforting smile he kept flashing, the old man sounded threatening.
"You are part of a Tenryubito's elite guard! I hope you are capable of capturing a pirate from East-Blue."
Feeling like they were hearing a death threat, the soldiers began to swallow. Then, suddenly, grabbing their sabers, they rushed to run towards Zoro.
'' Kill Roronoa. ''
Not even seeing them as a threat, Zoro took a simple step forward. Stunned, the soldiers saw him disappear from their field of vision, while he had found himself behind them.
Having used his new sword, Zoro barely needed to draw it to win this fight.
"You're just losers."
The next moment, the government agents began to scream in agony, as deep gashes appeared on their abdomens. Seeing them collapse, Domaca noticed.
"We might have a problem."
"Get out of my way." Zoro ordered, walking towards the old man. "All I want is Azelma back."
However, far from being scared by the pirate, Bakayaki and Rocco positioned themselves in front of him.
"You will never get close to Domaca-sama." Rocco stated, cracking his knuckles.
Letting out a strange cry, Bakayaki grabbed his scythe, before pointing it at Zoro.
However, the duo stopped, as they saw the cloaked man walk past them.
"Huh?" Rocco wondered.
Ignoring him, the man continued walking towards Zoro. Seemingly interested in the pirate, the unknown man stated.
"I really don't know how to define you! Are you ready to risk your life to save a slave? Why are you doing this? Out of arrogance or stupidity?"
"I doubt someone like you can understand my reasons." Zoro retorted. "I'll only tell you once! Get out of my sight or you'll regret it."
However, with a serious look on his face, Zoro had stopped as he faced the unknown man. Even though he was unable to see his face, Zoro felt the power of the man in front of him. He was nothing like the ordinary soldiers they had just defeated.
" This guy... he's very strong. "
At that moment, searching under his cloak, the unknown man finally pulled out a metal whip. Then, with a quick gesture, he aimed his weapon at Zoro. Jumping to the side to avoid it, the pirate saw the whip hit the ground and create a large gash.
'' Huh ? ''
Observing the weapon carefully, Zoro noticed that it wasn't a metal whip. It was a whip-shaped sword.
'' A sword ? ''
"It's an urumi," the unknown man said. "A sword that is both flexible and sharp."
Spinning his weapon, he sent it towards Zoro again. Continuing to dodge, Zoro let the weapon hit the wooden crate that Sogeking was in. With a cry of fear, the masked hero rolled away, as the wooden crate was sliced in two.
''AHHHHHHH! His weapon has a long range and it can cut through anything.''
"You won't escape." The unknown man stated, aiming his whip at Zoro.
Dodging a third time Zoro saw the blade of the sword head towards the bodies of two government agents on the ground. Unable to defend himself, the bodies of the two men were cut in two, while the stranger did nothing to change the trajectory of his weapon.
"Bastard!" Zoro growled. "You even kill your comrades?"
''My comrades? These losers? Don't make me laugh! I have no idea who they are! If they didn't want to die, they could have just defeated you! The law that rules this world is always that of the strongest.''
Growling at the sound, Zoro grabbed his bandana before tying it around his head.
"If that's the case, I hope you won't mind if I show you which of us is stronger."
"Come closer! I'm just waiting for that."
"DARK! We don't have time for a fight." Domaca retorted. "If we hang around here, MUgiwara and his gang might come to us…"
"Shut up! You stupid old man." Black growled. "I don't take orders from you."
Hearing this, Rocco and Bakayaki began to growl in displeasure. However, ignoring them, Dark aimed his urumi at Zoro again. This time, knowing all the information he needed to know, the pirate struck the weapon with one of his sabers, in order to deflect its trajectory. Then, he rushed towards Dark.
Unfortunately, rotating his arm, Dark forced the blade of his weapon to do the same. Forced to stop, Zoro positioned his swords to the side, to block his opponent's blade.
Seeing him stop, Dark raised his arm in the air, before lowering it with all his strength. Being lifted, his urumi then fell towards Zoro, in order to cut him in two. However, crossing two sabers above him, Zoro had no trouble blocking this attack.
'' Don't make me laugh. ''
Then, pushing the weapon away, Zoro rushed towards Dark.
"That's not the kind of attack that can defeat me! ONI… "
And before Black could react, Zoro's swords slammed into him.
'' … GIRI! ''
Unfortunately, when his swords struck Black, Zoro groaned in pain. Feeling like he was hitting a titanium statue, Zoro felt the power of the impact spread through his arms, while Black didn't move an inch.
"Seriously? Is this really your limit? You're even more pathetic than I thought."
Then, taking one of his arms out from under his cloak, he allowed Zoro to notice that it was covered in black feathers, like those of a crow.
" A birdman? "
Coating his fist with busoshoku haki, Black then punched Zoro in the face. Feeling like he was being hit with a hammer, Zoro felt his vision blur as blood began to flow down his face.
"ZORO!" Azelma was frightened, seeing him fall to the ground.
Still, remaining conscious, Zoro put one foot on the ground, before performing a backflip. Putting some distance between Dark and him, he tried to catch his breath, while his head hurt.
"Damn it! Who is this guy?"
Then, he found himself forced to jump to the side to avoid Dark's urumi. Having fun chasing Zoro with his long sword, Dark affirmed.
"Roronoa… I heard that your goal is to become the best swordsman in this world! But look at you! I've rarely seen a human behave in such a pitiful manner."
Growling, Zoro crossed his swords again and managed to stop Black's urumi. Then, positioning his swords back, he targeted his opponent's weapon, in order to destroy him.
'' 108 KLESHA SLASH ! ''
Seeing the urumi, the sharp wind seemed to have destroyed it. However, covered in busoshoku haki, the weapon didn't have the slightest scratch.
''What ? ''
"More and more ridiculous." Black asserted. "How do you expect to become the best swordsman in this world when you don't even know how to use haki?"
Then, twirling the blade of his weapon again, he moved it so fast that part of the weapon managed to slash Zoro.
'' Gnnnn ! ''
Jumping to the side, Zoro tried to get away from the weapon as blood ran down one of his arms.
''Damn it! His weapon's range is annoying! And he seems to be able to increase it whenever he wants.''
"Are you seriously impressed by this? In that case, let me show you some of my true power."
Making his urumi move in strange ways, Dark made his blade move and bend until it took on the appearance of an eagle's head. Then, using his Busoshoku haki, he solidified the blade of his weapon, so that it could maintain its strange shape.
"What is he doing?" Zoro asked.
Simply targeting him, Dark quickly answered his question.
'' EAGLE SPEAR ! ''
Dashing at full speed, the eagle head headed towards Zoro, while taking on the appearance of a perfect straight line. Widening his eyes, Zoro tilted his head to the side in extremis, while the tip of the blade grazed his cheek, while cutting it slightly.
Having barely seen the urumi propel itself towards him, Zoro would have been decapitated if he hadn't managed to avoid it in time.
However, taking advantage of the fact that the blade of his long sword was straight and solid thanks to his haki, Dark directed it towards Zoro, in order to cut him in two. Again, Zoro blocked the urumi with his sabers. However, upon impact, he felt himself moving back, and cracks appeared on the blade of his new saber.
'' What ? ''
"This is ridiculous! Against my haki, you have no chance of protecting yourself from my attacks! All you can do is delay the time of your death.
Then, again, he shook the blade of his weapon, so that it could take on the appearance of an eagle's head.
'' EAGLE … ''
Knowing what he was going to do, Zoro got into a fighting stance.
"I will prove you wrong, by breaking the blade of your weapon! GAZAMI DORI! "
'' SPEAR ! ''
Seeing the blade propel itself towards him again, Zoro uncrossed his weapons and struck it. A shockwave appeared at the time of impact, while Zoro gritted his teeth to resist it. Unfortunately, unable to face the solidity of Dark's haki, he ended up being thrown backwards and hit a wall.
''ZORO! " Shouted Usopp.
"I can't believe it," Franky said. "He's totally getting dominated by this guy."
"How is that possible?" Paulie asked. "He still managed to surpass the power of the Aqua Laguna."
"It's simple to understand."
Appearing before them, Rocco cracked his knuckles as he stated.
''Black is not just anyone! From birth, he was endowed with a power beyond that of a human being! And from the age of three, he managed to wield Busoshoku haki.''
'' Right? ''
''Black is an arrogant and annoying being.'' Rocco stated. ''Nevertheless, if anyone has a chance of being able to surpass Milhawk, it's him! Roronoa doesn't have the slightest chance of winning this fight! And the same goes for you.''
For his part, Sogeking let out a cry of fear, seeing Bakayaki appear before him, with his scythe in hand.
"AHHHHHHHH! He's back."
"Hera!" His pokemon growled, facing the punk.
In response, Bakayaki let out a strange cry, before getting into a fighting stance.
"This is all ridiculous," Domaca said. "If they had decided to be smart, we would have had no reason to kill them! Now it's too late."
'' ZOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOO ! ''
Surprised, Black looked up and saw a figure on a roof.
'' Huh ? ''
Suddenly disappearing, the figure found itself in front of him, while his arm had stretched back. And before Black could react, Luffy's fist violently struck his face.
Flying backwards, Black's body hit several walls, before stopping, several dozen meters away.
"BLACK?" Domaca wondered, losing his smile.
Then, he saw LUffy stand in front of him and stare at him angrily.
"Hey! Are you the one who kidnapped Azelma?"
'' Huh ? ''
Cracking his knuckles, Luffy stated.
"I don't care that you're an old person! I'm going to kick your ass."
And appearing behind him, most of his crew was present.
"Guys...?" Azelma wondered.
"Azelma! You have nothing to fear anymore! We are here to save you."
