Leaf's heart shattered as she caught a glimpse of Tina strolling into Ness's room, her laughter echoing like a cruel melody in the hall. Her heart shattered into a million pieces. She fled back to her own room, tears streaming down her cheeks, blurring her vision as she stumbled through the door.

Once inside, the reality of the situation hit her like a tidal wave. Her mind spiraled downwards. What were they doing behind that closed door? Was Ness whispering sweet nothings in Tina's ear, their bodies inches apart, radiating warmth and intimacy? The image of them together gnawed at her insides, leaving her feeling hollow and broken. She curled into herself, sobbing uncontrollably.

Melodic Discord

The boy's heart thumped when he heard the sound of wood knocking. He got up from his desk chair, despite his legs being wobbly, he managed to walk over to the door and open it.

There he laid eyes on a beautiful goddess. Her smooth ebony skin glistened in the light. Her pink eyes shined brighter than any sunset he had seen, casting a spell that held him in place.

He looked at her soft, alluring lips, a wave of desire washed over him, igniting a blush that crept across his cheeks. He instinctively looked away, scratching the back of his head, overwhelmed by the intensity of his emotions.

Ness: "Uh… H-hey."

Tina: "Sup, dude."

Ness: "So uh, yeah, um d-did you want to come in?"

Tina: "Hell yeah."

Ness: "Haha… O-ok!"

He moved to the side and allowed her access to his room. She examined his abode, getting used to the atmosphere. His room was pristine and organized. Not a speck of dust to be seen. She looked up and saw the LED light strips illuminate the area. It had such a gamer boy vibe to it.

Tina: "I'm diggin' the lights."

Ness: "Oh! Haha! I-I'm glad."

She sat on his bed and that made him squirm. His crush is SITTING ON HIS BED! His heart was racing a million miles per second. What should he do? Should he sit next to her? N-no! That might rub her off the wrong way.

He walked over to his tv and switched it on. Settling into his desk chair, he fixed his gaze on the screen, avoiding the temptation to look at her. The flickering images played before him, but his mind was elsewhere, caught in a whirlwind of thoughts and feelings.

Tina: "So, what'd ya wanna do?"

Ness: "Um, w-we could I don't know, play video games?"

Tina: "Sure, I'm down."

Ness: "Ok, what'd you want to play?"

Tina: "Let's play a fighting game. I'm good at those."

Ness: "I have Street Fighter."

Tina: "Hell yeah!"

Ness: "Can't wait to see you in action."

Tina: *Snickers*

Ness: "N-not like that of course! Haha…" *Looks away blushing*

Tina: "You're good, dude."

Ness: "Haha…"

He sprang from his chair and powered on his console, his eyes widening as he noticed his rank had risen, because of Nate. Geez, is his clone naturally better at video games than he is? The feeling of jealousy washed over him, making him question his own skills.

Tina: "I'm gonna kick your ass."

Ness: "Haha! W-we'll see about that."

The two played for a couple of hours. Just like she stated earlier, she was indeed kicking his ass.

Ness: "W-what! I lost again?"

Tina: "Hahaha! I told ya I'd kick your ass~"

Ness: "I… Guess you did."

Tina: "Alright, wanna go another round, or are you too scared that you'll lose again?"

Ness: "N-no! Bring it on!"

He lost. Again.

Tina: "Hahahaha!"

Ness: "Wow I suck."

Tina: "Wanna go again?"

Ness: "No no. I'm good."

Tina: "Tired of gettin' your ass beat?" *Smirks*

Ness: "Yep."

She doubled over in laughter, her joy ringing in his ears like the sweetest melody. He couldn't believe he had succeeded in making his crush laugh; his mission was a triumph. If she found him funny, surely her feelings for him would grow deeper.

Tina: "Oh my god, you're so funny. Anyway, wanna just chat?"

Ness: "Yeah we can do that."

Tina: "So, ok, I need to vent a little."

Ness: "Of course."

Tina: "I dunno if you know, but I used to be in a band."

Ness: "A band? That's incredible!"

Tina: "Ya dude. We were awesome. But like ya know how I dumped my ex Darnell, right?"

Ness: "Oh no, was he a part of it?"

Tina: "He was the lead electric guitarist."

Ness: "Oh…"

Darnell sounds talented. It made Ness jealous. He wishes he could play guitar. Then he and Tina would have more in common and who knows maybe he could join her band.

Tina: "But as you know, the band kicked him out because he's a fuckin' asshole."

Ness: "Yeah he is."

Tina: "Like bro was controllin' as fuck."

Ness: "I could tell."

Tina: "But now that he's gone, we don't have a lead guitarist. That's super important to our band. We don't know what to do."

Ness bit his lip and swallowed hard.

Ness: "I-I could play guitar."

Tina: "Wait, you can?"

Ness: "Y-yeah..."

Tina: "Oh my god! Please join our band. We need you!"

Ness: "S-sure."

She squealed in delight.

Tina: "C'mere, I need to hug you right now."

Ness: "O-oh! Uh… Sure."

He walked over and sat on his bed next to her. He awkwardly opened his arms for a hug. She dove into his embrace and squeezed him tight.

He felt his cheeks heat up, a deep crimson flushing across his face. Her touch sent shivers down his spine. He could feel his pants tightening, an undeniable response to the thrill of the moment.

When she finally pulled away, a wave of embarrassment washed over him. Instinctively, he quickly grabbed his blanket, covering his embarrassment.

Tina: "You're awesome! I didn't know you could play."

Ness: ["Neither did I…"]

Tina: "What was that?"

Ness: "Y-yeah! I uh, I'm full of many surprises."

Tina: "I'm gonna let Riley and Kip know."

Ness: "Are they a part of the band too?"

Tina: "Yep. I'm the lead singer, Riley plays the drums, Kip handles the keyboard, and now you're gonna be our lead guitarist."

Ness: "Haha… I'm excited."

Tina: "Same! I can't wait to see the excitement on their faces. We're getting the band back! Eeee!"

Ness: "Y-yep. I'm glad I could help."

Tina: "You're doing more than just helping. You're our fuckin' hero, dude."

Ness: "Oh really?"

Tina: "Ya dude. Music is our passion."

Ness: "Well, it's about to be my passion as well."

Tina: "I know! I can't wait to introduce you to our talent."

Ness: "Cool. Me too."

Tina: "We haven't had a show in a while, so we're a little rusty."

Ness: "Oh, same here. I haven't played in a long time." (Or at all...)

Tina: "Oh damn."

Ness: "But now that you want me in your band, I'm going to put in a lot of practice. I've got to hone those skills, you know?"

Tina: "I get it, dude. We're gonna do the same. I don't wanna embarrass myself in front of ya."

When she said that, he felt a bit at ease. Still though, why did he say he could play guitar when obviously he couldn't? He's never touched an instrument a day in his life!

He knew he should tell her the truth, but the thought of disappointing her weighed heavily on his heart. He couldn't bear the idea of letting her down, especially since he was trying to win her affection. He had to do whatever it took to make her like him more. With that in mind, he convinced himself to buy a guitar and learn to play.

Ness: "S-so when is this happening?"

Tina: "We're real good at music, so it shouldn't take long for us to get good again. Give us a month."

Ness: (A MONTH?!)

Tina: "If that's ok with you."

Ness: "O-of course."

Tina: "Perfect~!"

Ness: "Yep."

Tina: "I'm too excited. I'mma head back to my place and call em."

Ness: "Oh, you're leaving?"

Tina: "Yeah, sorry. I can't wait any longer. I gotta tell them the news, plus it's gettin' kinda late."

Ness: "Oh, ok. Y-yeah, I'll see you later then."

Tina: "It was nice bein' here with you."

Ness: "I had a good time too. Um, c-can we do this again?"

Tina: "Duh. Oh shit! Wait, I forgot to tell ya."

Ness: "Tell me what?"

Tina: "I spoke with Leaf not too long ago."

Ness: "Just the two of you?"

Tina: "Yeah. She seemed down with hangin' out with me and you."

Ness: "Oh yeah?"

Tina: "Next time the three of us should hang out at my place."

Ness: "Y-your place?"

Tina: "It's not as clean as yours, but it ain't a pig stye either."

Ness: "Haha! I'm glad you think so."

Tina: "You'd make one hell of a house husband. This place looks like a hotel room."

Ness: "I-I would?" *Blushes*

Tina: "Hell yeah you would. I bet you can cook too." *Winks*

Ness: "I can actually." (And this time it's not a lie…)

Tina: "Damn, yeah. You'd be the perfect house hubby."

Ness: "Haha… I-I… Wow, uh, t-thanks."

Tina: "Anyway, I'mma head out."

Ness: "O-ok!"

She blew him a kiss which made his heart flutter. Once the door closed behind her, he let himself collapse onto his bed, limbs sprawled out as his thoughts raced. S-she said he'd be a perfect house husband. That line echoed in his mind, playing on an endless loop.

They're definitely getting closer. He's slowly winning her heart. He could feel it in his bones. He thought about a fantasy of him playing guitar winning her heart.

Ness's Fantasy

Ness and Tina were on a rooftop. They were sitting on a swing couch, enjoying the sunrise. He played guitar to swoon her heart and it was working.

His crush was humming along to the melody he was crafting, her voice was flowing naturally with the notes. Together, they were in perfect harmony, creating a symphony of sounds that filled the outdoors. It delighted their ears, as if the music itself was a reflection of their growing connection.

Tina: "You're so talented."

Ness: "Thanks, haha!"

Tina: "It's so romantic right now."

Ness: "You think so?"

Tina: "Yeah, don't you?"

Ness: "Yes, I just didn't want to be the only one thinking it."

She playfully bumped into his side.

Ness: "Hey! Haha!"

His smile disappeared as he caught the look she gave him—flirtatious and filled with desire. For a brief moment, they locked eyes, the tension thick between them, unspoken but undeniable. Then, as if drawn by an invisible force, they closed the distance and met in a heated, passionate kiss, their emotions spilling over in a wave of intensity.

Ness: "Mm~"

Tina: "Nn~"

They slowly pulled away. She gently rested her head on his shoulder. He continued to play, his fingers gliding over the strings, while they watched the beautiful sunrise.

Tina: "Watching the sunrise was nice, but it's over."

Ness: "Did you want to do something else?"

Tina: "Wanna head back to your place and… I dunno, do somethin' fun."

Ness blushed deeply. She wants to do... That?! He had never been intimate with anyone before, and the thought sent a rush of nervous excitement through him.

A part of him wanted to make up an excuse, to avoid the chance of disappointing her in bed. But if he kept hesitating, she might move on—and losing her would be his worst nightmare. Deep down, though, he wanted nothing more than to be close to her, to share his first time with the one person who meant everything to him.

Ness: "Y-yeah, ok we can do that."

She stood up, and together they made their way back to his place. Once inside, she bit her lip playfully and, with a sudden burst of energy, pushed him onto the bed. He was taken aback by her dominance, a mix of shock and excitement coursing through him. The unexpected move left him breathless, and he couldn't deny how turned on he felt by her boldness.

Tina: "I love the way you're looking at me right now."

Ness: "H-how am I looking at you?"

She licked her lips and stared down at him with hunger in her eyes.

Tina: "Like a good boy."

Ness: "G-good boy?"

Ness: "I don't."

Nate: "Dude, calm down. I'll let you go."

Ness: "No, you know what, to prove to you that I wasn't, let's play league right now."

Nate: "How does that prove anything?"

Ness: "Because if I was, I would be eager to get off the phone and finish."

Nate: "That's fair."

Ness: "I wasn't doing that. I was—researching how to train Lucky. I got really into it."

Nate: "Oh, well, did you wanna finish doing that then?"

Ness: "No, I'm over it. I was getting frustrated anyway."

Nate: "Why?"

Ness: "You ask a lot of questions."

Nate: "Geez, fine. Alright, let's play then."

Ness: "Yes, let's."

The two started playing a game of League Of Legends together. Ness obviously played his favorite champion Lee Sin, while Nate played Poppy top.

They were doing fairly well, until their mid-laner decided to roam. The mid-laner went bot lane. Unfortunately bot lane didn't want to follow up leaving the mid-laner to die.

Ness: "Yeah, I've been noticing a pattern."

Nate: "Oh you mean the fact that we lose when you decide to try to 'tame' the conversation?"

Ness: "Yes, Nate. I get it."

Nate: "Hahaha! Ya know I'm just messin' with ya. I don't really care if we win or not. I just wanna let you know that if you wanna win, then stop talkin' to them toxic assholes."

Ness: "Yeaaah, but it's hard."

Nate: "Ya got a serious problem."

Ness: "I know…"

Nate: "Anyway, those were some good games. We lost and won some."

Ness: "Aww, are you leaving?"

Ness: "Oh right, you need to go on your walk, huh?"

The Espeon started doing happy spins. It made Ness chuckle. He grabbed the leash and hooked it onto Lucky's collar. The two went over to Lucas's for their daily night walk. The two boys chatted about video games, while Lucky enjoyed the outdoors.
