ChuLiech: Too Short
Yao and Lili went onto the train as soon as it arrived. They intended to go on a date to the city, and it was the best way to travel. Even though the train was extremely crowded.
Yao grumbled over the fact that they couldn't get any seats and that they would need to hold onto the railings above. He wasn't the tallest person ever, so it was a huge inconvenience.
Yao's eyes widened when Lili clung to his arm, and he looked down. She had a slight blush on her face, and Yao looked up.
If he had some problems with the height of the railings, then he could only imagine how it must feel for her. Yao smiled, suddenly not minding as much. It was a good excuse for his girlfriend to cling to him. She was still very shy, and so displays of affection tended to make her very nervous. And since she was the one that initiated this, he found the situation very touching.
And her brother couldn't blame him for trying something.
The prompt is: 'Person A is too short to reach the railings on the subway/bus, and all of the other poles are taken so they have to hold onto Person B instead.'
I can sympathise with Liechtenstein. One time, we were taking a tour of the university's auditorium (as in, behind the scenes), and at one point the stagehand showing us around told us to mind our heads. I was the only one that didn't have to duck. I even said 'I'm short', and he responded 'lucky you'. It's one of the only times it's helped out, especially since we had to walk with a low ceiling for a while. And in case you're wondering, I'm 157 cm, just under the average height for South African women (a few centimetres, but I still have to roll up a good portion of my jeans).
