Welcome back to Elemental Crisis Book III. Last time, Spyro, Supergirl, Sentinel, and Toyman made their way up to the Element of Earth, located in the headquarters of CatCo Worldwide Media. But just as they got there, Myriad arrived to confront them. After freaking out both Sentinel and Toyman by having Sentinel's face, the brawl was about to begin, catching this team up with the past two chapters. And now, the battles for the Elements of Earth, Wind, and Electricity all kick off at once. So let's not waste a moment! Here we go!
(Our scene opens back at CatCo Worldwide Media, where Spyro, Supergirl, Sentinel, and Toyman are about to face off with Myriad over the Element of Earth. Myriad appears to be scanning the heroes, as if to gain some insight into their strategies. But then Sentinel makes the first move, using her energy gauntlet to throw an energy punch which Myriad immediately deflects, giving Toyman time to throw the razor blade yoyo, which doesn't even fully cut through the suit as Toyman recalls it, surprised)
Toyman: I could have sworn I sharpened this thing!
(Clearly unimpressed, Myriad activates her own Hand of the Soldier style device, and prepares to punch Toyman with it when Spyro tackles her to the ground)
Spyro: Not a chance!
(Myriad just redirects her punch into Spyro, throwing him back into Toyman. Supergirl meanwhile has used this opportunity to get closer to the Element of Earth, hoping to secure it. As Myriad realizes this, we transition to LuthorCorp's R&D department, where Martian Manhunter is facing off against Malefic J'onzz. All the while, Lena Luthor is working on something involving a panel on the wall)
Lena Luthor: J'onn, your night vision better be good!
(With that, Lena Luthor rips a set of wires out of the wall, shutting off the power, only for the Element of Electricity in the center of the room to start sparking it back on and off sporadically)
Lena Luthor: (Realizes how she screwed up) Right, Element of Electricity. Should have seen that coming. (To Martian Manhunter) J'onn, please tell me you don't have epilepsy!
(As that battle continues, Malefic J'onnz grabs Martian Manhunter by the neck and prepares to toss him aside just as Flash throws a jet of fire into the scene, startling the Martian enough to cause him to jump back and throw Martian Manhunter in another direction. Meanwhile, back at National City University, General Luthor has hit the floor and is approaching the quartet after the Element of Wind. Cynder charges into battle first, only for General Luthor to slap her aside like Gaul in the Mountain of Malefor)
General Luthor: My battle's not with you, Cynder. (Looking straight at Superman with murderous intent) It's with him.
Superman: (Starts floating off the ground) Bring it.
(With that, General Luthor and Superman clash. And the struggle seems equaled out for a time)
Superman: Give it up, Lex.
General Luthor: Please. I've beaten you before. And specifically designed my Warsuit to do it again.
(At that note, panels on the suit open revealing glowing green rocks. Superman immediately recognizes them and suddenly the fight shifts in General Luthor's favor. The suit is lined with Kryptonite. Dreamer and Guardian move in and try to give the Man of Steel a hand, but it doesn't work out. Ultimately Cynder gets up and rushes into the fight just as General Luthor is about to throw Superman into the vortex to be torn apart, headbutting General Luthor enough to offset the arc. At this point, the scene shifts into a tripart division, showing Supergirl, Martian Manhunter, and Superman each about to make contact with the Elements they tracked. We switch back to CatCo Worldwide Media to show Myriad has thrown a line of some sort around Supergirl's legs as she flies towards the Element of Earth hoping to throw her aside. And while she is stopped, Supergirl can just reach out and touch the Element of Earth, causing it to flow into her as Ignitus speaks over the scene)
Ignitus: Kara Zor-El, you have stood steady as a stone against the unrelenting enemy. You have proven worthy of the Element of Earth.
(While this happens, Martian Manhunter gets released from Malefic J'onnz's grasp and makes contact with the Element of Electricity, siphoning it into himself as Ignitus speaks over this scene)
Ignitus: J'onn J'onzz, you have shown wisdom under pressure, with the quickness of mind to use it. You have proven worthy of the Element of Electricity.
(While Martian Manhunter absorbs the Element of Electricity, Superman ends up in the same situation with the Element of Wind, absorbing it into his body as Ignitus speaks over this scene too)
Ignitus: Clark Kent, Kal-El, you have brought the breath of hope on every breeze you cross. You have proven worthy of the Element of Wind.
(As Ignitus finishes his lines, the Elements fully transfer into their new hosts, rocking each scene with a brief pulse of energy that's enough to blow everybody down to the ground)
General Luthor: You have to be kidding me!
Malefic J'onzz: Oh, that isn't good.
Myriad: (Acts the least bothered by this, despite their head glitching like they're about to crash) A new variable has been added. (Activates a communication device) Luthor, Malefic. Retreat for now. This requires further analysis.
(With that, Myriad activates some kind of teleportation device in her suit, somehow linking it to Malefic J'onzz and General Luthor, teleporting them away as well. Meanwhile, everybody starts to recover from their battles as the Elemental effects fade)
Cynder: Well, this is going to be interesting.
Spyro: We better get to the D.E.O.
And that looks like a good place to wrap up for now. Yeah, I'm not that good at writing multiple scenes happening at the same time, but I didn't want to split this any more than was necessary. So, now the Elements of Earth, Electricity, and Wind have new hosts. Spyro and Cynder are about to have a lot of teaching ahead of them. So, how's this going to go? Tune in next time to start finding out! Same time... same channel!
