sword dragon and the phoenix -chapter 17 – battles until bursting
as I stated before I am skipping the first arc of season 3 to use later in the story, this part of the story will start to hit on plot points both heroes of Olympus series , Kane chronicles and magnus chase as well as crossover with reaper of Rome at a point in the series
but as started this chapter will cover 7-9 of born and well as episode 0 of hero
I am skipping the filler part at the end of born and saving the first arc of born and moving to a later point to touch with event of magnus chase
Issei pov
After the battle was done Shirou tried training me for a week and then went to Rias to ask her "it is okay if I use an outside party that produced good results in Yusuke?" she seemed to say yes as I thought how much stronger Yusuke was after being out of school for a few months. As Shirou said "Issei will have to be away until the event at least, you wont be able to see him during that time and lastly your gonna have to produce a payment for the person Yusuke trained with." Rias just said, "if that's what has to be done so that Issei wont lose his arm to use his balance breaker, so be it." With that I squirmed wondering what kind of pain I would go through.
After two months of pure tortuous training, I knew I was stronger and could use my balance breaker for five-minute intervals without the high cost but knew I still had a way to go before I hit the heights Shirou and Vali reached. But in that time, the three sides formed at least a partial peace agreement; it was Christmas time. But I learned devil don't really celebrate Christmas but refitted a holiday from Egypt called the demon days, the last five days of the year were the closest thing to sacred to devils and we would exchange gifts by the last day of the year.
But part of the event was a meet up and battle competition for young devils and their peerage. This year would be the first time Sona, Rias and Ravel's peerage would get a chance to compete. It was also a chance for devils to meet and network and talk. This year part of talking part was about the chaos brigade and the current crisis between Greek and roman pantheons. But as we arrived at the event, news came that the Egyptian gods were free into the modern world to cause more problems as well. most of the time the devil would stay out of times unless they reached problem levels but there had never been so many problems around the same time. With two factions each with possible doomsday scenarios at once things were getting hot.
Before the event, the two peerages in the occult research club watched a battle from the last event. We saw a battle with a man that Rias told us is her cousin. It was then we saw a magic circle that Rias knew to be from the Astaroth family. he wanted to trade two of his pieces for Asia and Rias rejected him right away. he then came onto Asia like he loved her only for me to punch the man and Asia to slap him.
After that, Koneko and I went on my bike to visit one of our shared clients, but we were stopped by a black-haired cat girl. after that Vali came to warn me about the Astaroth boy and I ended up being greeted by the girls from my female peerage mates in transparent outfits. After that I ended up watching a seduction battle between the girls. After things cooled down, I updated Rias on what happened, and that Vali told me about the boy and that he would likely try dirty tricks to try and get Asia.
In the battle Shirou had to lead the peerage due to Ravel and Artoria being out due to being with child. But with pure power among the rest of the peerage Shirou was still sure they could win. but many other peerages had that many demigods among them. but their match would be against Sona, and she had many more pieces.
Shirou pov
Ravel and Artoria were sad to have to stay out of the battle, but I knew I could hold up the fort against Sona and hers. Saji with his incomplete gear didn't last long and even Sona couldn't last when I used a trick Gilgamesh used on me. the pure firepower we had made the match barely fair, and Sona bowed out not long into the battle.
But we soon learned after our battle was done Rias' battle didn't go nearly as well due. As we found them ambushed by Astaroth and learned Asia was kidnapped. But we were saved by angel and fallen angel forces, and we had to clear a path for Rias and her peerage to make it to the base that Astaroth was using. We were serving as a vanguard to help them make it to the base and would aid them if needed.
On getting to the temple, the peerage was split up to have to face the devil in three battles. Ravel's peerage with me in it was forced to face broken servants seemingly summoned with a damaged grail. While half of Rias peerage was forced into one battle and the other half another battle. in the battle we learned that Astaroth had his pieces under a spell to make dress break worthless.
But I soon was able to use a new trick to figure out the pawns via a trick to read the girls' hearts. After that Koneko gave me a tip to power up Akeno to help clear the rest of the enemy devils out. but after that Freed came in and then turned into a monster. His next move was to reveal exactly how dirty Astaroth was and that said the devil even set up Asia to be excommunicated. At the same time the monster talked my peerage cleared the servants and Kiba killed Freed.
After that we met the devil and let him spew venom all over us. it was as Astaroth kept speaking Issei was bursting with rage and my dragon said "things are starting to get bad. Issei is close to breaking and if he breaks things will only get worse. But Issei managed to armor up and attack the devil before he could say more. but in turn the devil made a barrier only for Issei's rage fueled power to growl his strength more. then Issei smacked him down. it was then Issei got to Asia only to learn that she was locked in a sacred gear prison, but using a super charged dress break Issei was able to free the blond girl.
But as we seemed to have won the battle, Asia prayed and was seemingly sucked into a light. With that I started to see Issei break yet again. it was after that the one that took Asia revealed himself as the ancestor of Beelzebub and then killed Astaroth. Then revealed he was the one behind all of this. As the old devil said all that I could tell Issei was breaking more and more as battles spread all around us. my dragon said "this is getting worse than last time. Issei is about to break and something nasty is about to come out." the Beelzebub devil then said he pretty much killed Asia and Issei started to get worse and worse as Issei's dragon spoke out and said, "everybody leave now, I am about to purge this devil this false lord of the flies."
I then used a trick I had only just learned, blade gate a path to pull everyone away from Issei as his power began to burst. I started to hear numerous voices saying, I will awaken and crush all before me. I am the heavenly dragon that clashed over Britan, Juggernaut drive." With the Issei turned into a nightmarish red dragon and the temple exploded.
It was then Vali called me and said "Platinum dragon, I need your help to stop this. Come with me." We entered the dimension gap and tried to save Asia before it was too late. We were lucky to find the girl before it was too late, and it was likely her sacred gear gave her a level of protection.
Ravel pov
I watched on as Issei ripped the old devil to piece as Gasper tried to stop Issei only failing. It wasn't long after that Issei won the battle but was still raging. It was then Shirou and Vali showed up. Shirou spoke up to say, "I found Asia, but it seems Issei is still in rage. My dragon said Issei is suffering from the collective rage of all his past incarnations." Then Vali said "its juggernaut drive, he may stop on his own, but it would be better if Shirou and I stopped him. but we will need your help as well."
It was at that time that Irina arrived with a projection device and projected a kids' show Issei made for the devil's world. then Vali told Shirou "I need you to undo his boosts, and I will reduce his power further. It was then the two put on their balance breaker armor and weakened the slowing Issei. As the two battled Issei, Akeno said to Rias, "your boobs will be the final thing to stop Issei and pull him out of the curse." it was then Rias stripped down presented her breasts to Issei. A single touch instantly returned Issei to his humanoid form.
After that, the others brought Asia down to the others as Rias magically put her cloths back on. that seemed to fully snap Issei out of his funk as a giant red dragon flew across the sky. As Vali said "that's the great red, the dragon of dragons. The first spawn of the Ur-dragon." After that he left as we recovered, and Issei passed out.

I decided to skip the fast few episodes of born due to the filler and worked in the real content from episode o of dxd hero.
I am also having to pivet event of the story to tie into the storyline for heroes of Olympus as well
Next chapter our heroes will have to train more and then head to kyoko as third years and some college students and others about to enter high school
But first Rudy will have to find a way to cross vast lands in time for his child to be born
