A/N: Since next week is the beginning of October, that means more Halloween stories for you readers!

Today, Deku and Todoroki took a walk down their favorite street to take a nice, romantic walk down: Banaizu Boulevard. The only difference today was that a good portion of it was in ruins due to the Paranormal Liberation War. Todoroki winced at seeing various vintage cars crushed under rubble, but she reminded herself that cars could easily be replaced, as opposed to living beings. Besides, clean-up work was progressing quite nicely along this particular stretch of road. Even so, there was something on her mind as they walked down the street:

"Deku, may I please ask you a question?"

"Of course. What's on your mind?"

"So…how are you feeling today?"

"Better now. The events of the past few months, however, will probably take a while for me to get over. I can't believe that the Paranormal Liberation Front ruined so many people's lives like this. I knew Shigaraki was ambitious, but even I could never have foreseen anything like this happening."

Todoroki put her hand on Deku's shoulder. "It's not your fault. None of us could have foreseen what would happen. We all did our best, and even if things didn't go our way, it wasn't a total loss. After all, the majority of the Paranormal Liberation Front is either dead or in prison."

"But what about all those heroes who just threw in the towel after seeing all this death and destruction? And what about the heroes who have to work overtime trying to do damage control?"

Todoroki frowned. "I'm afraid I don't have an answer for that one." Her smile returned. "I do, however, have an answer for this: even if you left UA unexpectedly and had me on edge with your little warpath, I still love you, and I'm still very proud of my little green bean."

Deku stared at Todoroki briefly. Then, he smiled:

"Shoko…no matter how sad I feel, no matter how much I may want to give up…somehow…you always bring me right back. I couldn't leave you for anyone else."

Todoroki giggled. "Well, isn't that what lovers are for?"

"You're right. Shall we kiss?"

Todoroki cupped Deku's face in her hands. "Shall we?"

Deku and Todoroki shared another passionate kiss. Even if the Final War was yet to be over, at least they could count on each other.

Criticism is gold. Negativity and nitpicking are pyrite.
