"How much longer will this potion's effects last? It has been days." Tanya said.
"It will last a few more days; unfortunately, the one she drank was potent," Shang Tsung said.
The two peered into Francine's room, watching her draw on her loose paper leaf. While Francine was cleaning Shang Tsung's lab, she found a bottle filled with black liquid and mistaken it for soda. Once she drank the liquid, her mind and body changed into those of an eight-year-old girl. Francine noticed Tanya and Shang Tsung watching her and smiled. She ran over to them and showed them her drawing.
"I drew Mommy and Papa!" Francine pointed to the childish stick figures she drew. "I gave mommy a dress 'cause she would look pretty in it. Mommy's beautiful lady."
Tanya took the picture and looked at it. The three were in a field with a boxy house drawn in the background. A rainbow spread across the scribbled blue sky.
"This is beautiful, Francine. I will accept your drawing." Tanya crouched down and patted Francine's head. "Do you enjoy the drawing, Shang Tsung?"
"It is a simple drawing, and there is nothing to it."
Francine pouted and crossed her arms, making sure to pout even more when she looked up at Shang Tsung.
"Daddy is always grumpy. He needs a hug." Francine spread her arms and hugged Shang Tsung's torso. Shang Tsung patted Francine's head and looked away.
"He is quite grumpy; however, he means well." Tanya laughed and hugged Shang Tsung with Francine in the middle of the two adults. "Francine, would you like to go to the beach today?"
"Yes, yes! I will wear my bathing suit, which has bows on it!"
Tanya looked up at Shang Tsung and smirked.
"May you shrink the bathing suit?"
"I suppose," Shang Tsung groaned.
