Hello there!
I'm Loopy Luna FossBoss, and until this, I only uploaded on Quotev- so, nice to meet you!
This story is an Owl House fanfiction, about if instead of discovering a portal to the Boiling Isles, Luz fell down a rabbit hole to a mysterious place called Wonderland, complete with The King of Spades, Eda the Mad Hatter, and Amity the Mint Rabbit. It also has a couple fun side plots with Luz's older sister, Lucia, who follows her into Wonderland…
So, enjoy this novel full of mayhem and blushing, cuz it's one heck of a ride!
Enjoy! Thank you for reading!

Luz Noceda was a typical, everyday, completely ordinary girl. At least, sometimes that's what she wished she was.
Right now, she walked down the hallways of Gravesfield High, trying to blend in with the hungry crowd of students dead set on swallowing her whole. Unlike what she wished for, Dominican American 14-year-old not-totally-straight fandom nerd Luz just didn't fit in, couldn't. She wasn't typical, or ordinary, or average at all, no matter how much she wished it was so at times. She could use a break.
Someone behind her snorted at the pride pins on her oversized, glittery purple backpack. Or maybe they just snorted at the backpack. Either way, it made Luz's cheeks turn pink, and she sped off towards the history room, regretting not using her small paycheck from the local diner on a new one.
The rest of the day sped by for Luz; her short, almost boyish hair only got commented on once, her thin, lanky, almost but not quite average height only harrumphed at by the shorter kids twice, and her rounder face only made her skip eating one cookie… and the rest of her lunch, too. Plus… Boscha had wanted it. And when Boscha, head of the basketball team, wanted something, she got it. Luz sighed. Lucia, her older sister, would scold her for giving in so easily. But she was just so tired…
Things hadn't always been this way for Luz. She usually had a bouncy optimism glued to her every movement, but this past month, things had just seemed to get… duller. Nothing exciting happened. Even "The Good Witch Azura", Luz's favorite book series, couldn't pull her out of her funk. She just wished she had a magical realm to escape to…
Luz's tired brown eyes scanned the cracked pavement as she walked home to her worn down blue home, front window chipped from a rock some passing teens had thought would be funny to throw. When Luz walked inside, her mother, Camilla, wasn't there; instead, a note on the counter was in her place.
Double shift! Dinner's in the oven; if you need help, ask Lucia. I think she's supposed to be home tonight…? Will be home at 11.
Love, Mom :)
Luz scanned the note and sighed. This was the third double shift at the office that her mother had to endure this week alone, she thought. She trudged over to the oven to find a portion of cold, soggy lasagna, a piece missing already from Lucia's daily raid of the kitchen. It badly needed the microwave- though, looking at it, Luz wasn't quite sure even the miracle working microwave could fix the packaged mess of glop. She put it in regardless, unzipping her backpack and pulling out her homework, spreading it out on the counter and turning on the kitchen light to examine the several missing assignments she had. A full, two page essay for English, a poster for Science, a slideshow presentation for Mathematics, a project and essay for History… the list went on. She grumbled, the florescent light of the kitchen giving her a headache, and lugged the stack of papers down the hall and into her messy room, snagging the disgusting looking lasagna on her way out.
The night went on, and as the school work slowly diminished, so did Luz's energy. Her eyes grew heavier and heavier every time she blinked. Practically asleep, she reached up to close the blinds above her desk when out of the corner of her eye, she saw someone outside. Jolting up and hitting her head on her lamp, she stared out the dark window at the mysterious figure.
Her eyes adjusted, and…
A girl, a REALLY cute girl, with mint green hair, a green overcoat and pantaloons, and purple silk vest and tights stood outside of Luz's window, fussing with something in her pale palms. Her paper-white face was set with two large amber eyes and pointy elvin ears, which were twitching, eyes glancing about as her heeled foot tapped impatiently on the leaf-covered forest ground.
It took Luz a minute to notice the two snowy white rabbit ears sticking out of the strange girl's head, and when she did, she had to duck under her desk so she wouldn't draw the girl's attention as she freaked out. As far as Luz could tell, the girl hadn't seen her yet, and Luz wanted it to stay that way.
Carefully, she sneaked out of the room, glancing out the window every few seconds. Once she'd cleared her doorframe, she scrambled down the hall and hastily put on her white slip-ons, quickly bolting out into the warm autumn night. She peeked around the side of the house, where the girl still stood, twitching more and more impatiently.
"Where ARE they?" She muttered, voice clear and melodic and slightly British, maybe? Luz couldn't place her accent. "I told Ed and Em to be back by now!"
Luz could tell the strange girl was fidgeting with an antique bronze pocket watch. She squinted at it, and could tell there was a symbol on it, but she couldn't tell what. She snuck a little closer, trying not to make a sound-
Suddenly, the girl made an annoyed sound, clicked the watch shut, and turned on her heel to stare directly into Luz's eyes.
Both of them froze, the girl's strange rabbit ears perking up in alarm as Luz looked straight into two gorgeous amber eyes. One of the girl's ears twitched. And then she ran.
"Wait!" Luz called out, sprinting after her. She got the distinct impression that she shouldn't be able to see the strange rabbit girl. She didn't care- she wanted to know who she was, why she was there, who she was waiting for- and WHY?
The woods thickened as Luz chased after the incredibly agile girl. She barely noticed where she was stepping, trying hard as she could to chase after the girl. She picked up speed, losing sight of the girl, breathing heavily in the near pitch-black forest. Glancing around frantically, still sprinting, not looking where she was going when-
She tripped-
Into a hole-
And went
Down
Down
Down
Into the land of all things strange.
So, first chapter! I hope you enjoyed this. Luz is a little more moody than the Luz we know and love in the show, but I HAD to add some angst, especially with Lucia entering the mix. (If you aren't familiar with Lucia's character, that was the name lovingly given to Beta Luz. So there you go.)
I will try to update every week, so keep an eye out!
Anyways, thanks for reading! If you enjoyed this, go check out my other books!
Have a wonderful night/day!
