Well...I'm struggling with insomnia I got this idea that won't leave me alone...And I realized this is the perfect story for the Spooky Season! The White Ronin is an adventure in the 2nd Palladium TMNT Adventure Book and is such a deadly adventure players are advised to use one of the prerolled characters is they don't want to lose a precious PC they worked really hard on...After previous attempts to turn the classic Palladium Adventures into stories I realized this one was perfect because it had such a complete plot complete with that feels like a three act structure but there will be some differences since I'm making it fit in with the 2003 series first and foremost The White Ronin are no longer simply ninja drug dealers what are they? We shall find out very soon… Also this story takes place one year after most stories so far and references events that haven't been written yet I'll try to keep spoilers to a minimum but it's also going to reference stories I have planned but haven't written yet
It was the year 2007 one solid year had passed since the fateful Mutant Riots and the granting Mutants Civil Rights...Leo perhaps was still getting used to truly being a citizen of society because he was not prepared for what would happen in the October of that year…
Leo was opening his beloved Martial Arts School for the day when he heard a familiar voice behind him say "Leonardo…"
Leo whirled around at once "Ancient One!" He exclaimed "To what do I owe the honor?"
The Spherical Little Man sighed "I bring a message from the Ninja Tribunal…"
Leo felt the blood drain away from his face, seeing the somber expression on the Ancient One's face this didn't sound like good news…
"An old...Friend...Of the Tribunal has called in a favor from them...The White Ronin wants to test your best students!"
Leo looked quite pale "I...I didn't know the Tribunal had any friends!" He said "...Not any he would be alive in this era at least!"
Ancient One sighed "From what I understand they are ancient allies...Thus when the White Ronin asked them for this favor they sent me to deliver you the message."
"So…" Leo said "...It's not the Tribunal themselves who want to test my students, it is this...White Ronin?"
"The White Ronin seems to be an expert in the combination of combat and mysticism…" The Ancient One said "...Knowing some of your students have mystic abilities the White Ronin wishes to test them to see if they truly live up to the example you and your brothers have set! Your students will have to face death three times in a game of death and above all else they must be HONORABLE! If they act dishonorably their lives are forfeit!"
Leo gulped hard! He was sweating bullets he knew some of the best students this White Ronin was asking for were still only children! Yes they could fight but Leo knew from his own experience with the Tribunal how brutal they could be! But Leo felt any resistance would be futile he knew the Tribunal sent those wooden ninjas to get him and his brothers...So he figured...Better to face whatever this test was head-on…
But since his students (A few of them anyway) Had families of their own...He also feared he was going to get the book thrown at him by very unhappy Westerners.
And thus setting up this story's theme of East VS West and the struggles the Turtles face being part of society and thus having to answer to society's rules I am so grateful I came up with this group of Mutant Animal OC Students because in previous stories the Turtles kind of became side characters in their own stories often being shunted to the side for the Humanimal Characters now in this aspect of them as leaders of the Mutant Community I can actually have arcs for them again!
