On the 19th of August, 1863, Lionel Hugh Frost the Third was born in Westminster, London.
Lionel was the first and only child of Sir Lionel Frost The Second and Lady Eleanora Frost to not be miscarried or stillborn, and they were understandably rather pleased with the healthy baby boy. Having bore a living child and a male heir, at that, the Frosts were perfectly content to not have any more children. Instead, they turned their attention to a son requiring a proper upbringing and all that came with being the heir to the Frost name, title, and fortune.
Two months later, Aldous Peter Fortnight was born on the 18th of October, 1863, fifteen minutes after twin sister Annelise Elspeth Fortnight in Glasgow, Scotland.
Aldous was the long awaited son of Peter and Elspeth Fortnight and would be the last of six Fortnight children. As such, the newborn Annelise and Aldous were promptly sent off to the governess as their parents mapped out a proper christening and celebration at the arrival of a male heir.
About five months earlier on the 31st of May, 1863, Adelina Milagros Gisela Perez Montoya was born in Santiago, Santo Domingo and promptly baptized on account of her premature birth.
Adelina was the first child born to MarĂa Josefa and Rafael Montoya, expected to be male and more importantly, expected in late July or early August. There were fears that the infant would not live long as she weighed less than five pounds and did not cry for nearly a minute; nevertheless, she did, some would say to spite those who doubted her survival.
Dear reader, do you believe in fate?
Take note of this, dear reader, of these three babies linked solely by the year 1863.
Though these births are completely unrelated, their paths will inevitably cross, whether by fate or chance or even by accident.
The ending is already written, but what is the harm in telling the story?
Because before there is a sasquatch there is tragedy and triumph, romance and rejection. The joy and pain of boyhood and a life spent searching.
Above all, before there is a sasquatch there are two friends.
This is the story of those two friends.
