Wow, this is long overdue. Sorry about that. Hopefully, you guys enjoy this. Also, feel free to suggest scenes from the show for me to do!
Twenty-First Installment: Season 1 Episode 15: Beach Ball
Andi aids Lily in researching their suspicions about the Principal instead of attending Beach Ball
Andi's POV
"You do know today is the beach ball, right?" I asked, putting down my backpack on one of the beds. I was kind of bummed, spending my time in the nurse's office with Lily while all my friends were at the beach.
"I do, so what?" she said, looking through a book with a magnifying glass.
"So this better be good."
She walked over to face me. "It is. I've been doing some research about the principal. I don't know exactly who she is yet, but I'm getting closer."
"That's it? You could've just texted me!" I was about to leave but she stood in front of me, blocking the way.
"Not just that. I wanted to talk to you, about becoming Emma's guardian."
I lit up. "Yes! But, isn't that your job? But yes!"
"It is. And technically you can't be a guardian unless you're a powerless witch, but Emma needs all the help she can get. "
I scoffed. "Help is my middle name. So, where's my kit?" I lunged straight for Lily's to look through it, but she grabbed it the same time I did.
"You don't need one," she said with a scowl, tugging it back.
"Uh, I don't know Lily, I think I'm definitely gonna need a kit." We fought over it for a bit, but she managed to take it back and set it next to her. I tried to try and get it back, but it was no use.
"Andi, stop it! You're not getting a kit." She circled around to sit at her desk and began searching through her bag, clearing her throat. "Can we get back to business?"
She took out an item I recognized. "Ooh, the magic tablet. I love this!" I exclaimed. I tried to touch it, but she blocked me, again.
I started getting agitated. "If you're not gonna let me play with any of the toys, why am I here?"
"So you can help me research who the Principal is. I have a bad feeling about her."
"Great. So now not only do we have to worry about Maddie but the Principal too?"
"If I'm right, the Principal's been around a long time, and she would do anything to get rid of anyone who gets in here way; Maddie pales in comparison," she stated.
"Come on. I mean, you can't get much worse than Maddie."
She stood up and walk towards me. "Put it to you this way. Maddie turned me into a monkey. If the principal is who I think she is, she would turn me into a monkey, send me to the wild, and have a pack of hungry hyenas waiting for me."
My mouth dropped shocked by that mental image. Then, I finally spoke. "Awesome."
I changed my answer after seeing her face. "I mean, wow. That's bad. "
Now I see why Lily was worried. We couldn't lose Lily to the Principal, not with the Eclipse so close. "Okay, let's do some research."
We spent the next couple of hours knee-deep in old pictures and articles, trying to find any trace of the principal.
I finally found a few pictures that looked helpful. "Look!" I told Lily, holding it up. "Murgatroyd Farquhar, 1975. In the mustard gigantor pants."
Lily chuckled. "They're called bell bottoms."
I ignored it and continued. "And this one," I held up another picture. "Felicity Bumpermidge, 1988." I gave it a closer look, weirded out by what she was wearing. "Is she wearing football pads under her sweater?"
"No, that was just the fashion back then," Lily assured me.
"And all the rest of these." I spread out all the other pictures of her. "They're all her, right?"
"Well, they certainly all look like her, but we don't have definite proof."
"Oh, I think we do!" I went straight for her guardian's kit. "Do you have a magnifying glass in here?"
"Nope, but we don't need one." Lily tapped on one of the pictures twice and used two oh her fingers to zoom in.
I was amazed. "No way!" I moved near her to try myself and zoomed in on all the other photos while Lily got the Iridium High School yearbook to match the principal's face with the pictures. Unfortunately, they were a perfect match.
We looked at each other in shock. "They're all the same person. She has the same birthmark on her neck."
"You're right," Lily realized with fear.
"Of course I am." I bragged, flipping my hair.
"I have to tell the Council." She then began picking up all the pictures and putting them in her kit.
"Great, let's get the magic tablet." I watched her pack, hoping that the Council can stop the Principal before Emma is hurt, but also if they'd let me become a guardian. But the former is more important.
I followed Lily outside to the lockers. "Am I dressed right to meet the Witches' Council? Maybe I should replace my hat," I said, taking off my orange hat and putting on my blue one, "with this hat. I think it has more of a sophisticated look to it. The Witches' Council will love this hat, right?"
Lily looked at me sternly. "Look, this is serious. Stand back." I followed her command. She did a small wave of her hand and the lockers opened up, revealing a portal to the magic realm.
I couldn't believe that after all this time, magic existed and there was a separate realm where they existed. And here I am, standing literally a few feet from where the magical creatures lived.
I know I had to focus on helping Emma, but my mind was filled with so many possibilities on what I could discover in the magic realm, and I was more than ready to find out.
I added some dialogue because, why not, but this is still basically verbatim to what was said in the show.
Lostbutnotyetfound13: XD Tell me about it; so frustrating, and thanks!
neale. adamson: That's such a great idea! That'll be one of the next POVs, ty for the suggestion :)
