It was the day of the Rating Game and Grayfia could only find one way to help out Rias, but Ichigo and his peerage would have to talk to Rias and Riser for an agreement.
So today Ichigo and his peerage waited in there dining room for Grayfia to bring both Rias and Riser so they can have a discussion about Ichigo helping out Rias.
When Rias arrived with her queen Akeno they chatted with Ichigo and his peerage until Grayfia arrived shortly followed by Riser.
"So why have you asked Riser to come here again?" Riser asked as he sat down at the table not too pleased.
"I would like to aid Rias in the Rating Game the two of you are about to have." Ichigo said as he looked Riser in the eyes.
Rias was surprised and Riser's eyes widen before either of them could ask a question Grayfia spoke up saying, "There is a rule that allows someone with a peerage to act as a benefactor and lend a peerage member to a team of their choosing and the opposing team would either be allowed to have a benefactor of their own or be allowed an extra item or more in the Rating Game depending on the peerage member lent."
"I see, Riser is curious as to who in your peerage you will be lending to Rias." Riser asked as he narrowed his eyes.
"My pawn Mikoto Misaka." Ichigo stated as he stared Riser in the eyes.
"What!?" Mikoto yelled having a problem with the arrangement.
"Is there a problem Mikoto?" Ichigo asked confused.
"N-no it's nothing." Mikoto lied not liking the fact she had to work with Rias since she radiated an air of superiority like a certain level 5 telepath she knew.
"Anyway, you remember Mikoto, right Riser?" Ichigo asks.
"Yes, Riser remembers, she was the one using electricity but alas a pawn is a pawn." Riser said as he looked Mikoto up and down given her the creeps.
"Now Riser you have until 11pm to either get a benefactor to lend you a pawn of theirs or an extra item to bring to the Rating Game." Grayfia said as she bowed her head.
"Very well Riser shall take his leave Riser shall inform you of the items Riser has chosen before the game." Riser said before teleporting back to the underworld.
"I shall be taken my leave as you two have much to discuss." Grayfia said as she looked at Rias then Ichigo before teleporting back to Sirzechs.
It was silent for a moment before Rias said, "Thank you Ichigo for lending me one of your peerage members." with a small bow followed immediately by Akeno doing the same.
"Don't thank me, thank Mikoto she will be the one helping you." Ichigo said as everyone in his peerage smiled except for Mikoto.
"Thank you Mikoto and we will see you tonight." Rias said as she stretched out her hand to shake Mikoto's who shook it reluctantly.
After the handshake Rias decided to take her leave and teleported back to the ORC with Akeno.
"Mikoto." Medaka said as she got Mikoto's attention.
"Uh, yes Medaka?!" Mikoto squeaked in surprise.
Medaka closed her eyes then said, "Even if you don't like Rias, please get along with her because today is your debut to all the nobles of the underworld!" shouting the last part.
"She's right beat Riser and his peerage, and we will be set for life." Lina said already thinking of a way to earn money.
Ichigo approached Mikoto and said, "Mikoto you may be a pawn, but you are still in ace so go show everyone who you are.
Mikoto looked at him with wide eyes and smiled and said, "Like you need to tell me."
5 Minutes Until the Rating Game
Mikoto was on her way to Rias's location in the old school building as Ichigo and the rest of his peerage made their way to the student council.
When Mikoto got there she saw Rias sitting at her desk, Akeno and Koneko sitting on a couch on the left and Kiba, Asia, and Issei sitting on the couch on the right.
Every one of them looked up to see Mikoto in a different school uniform then Kouh's, the uniform Mikoto was wearing was made up of a blue skirt, a white under shirt, a tan vest, big baggy socks, brown shoes, and yellow shorts that was shorter than her skirt.
"It's good to see you came Mikoto what school does that uniform belong to?" Rias asked wanting to get any information she could on Ichigo and his peerage.
"This uniform is from my old middle school Tokiwadai." Mikoto said with pride only to realize that Tokiwadai is in another dimension.
"Did you really need to wear shorts though?" Issei says in disappointment.
This of course made Mikoto mad but before she could say anything the ORC doors open revealing Sona, Tsubaki, and Ichigo.
"Wow I didn't expect to see those three here what gives?" Issei asks as he looks at the through people who entered the room.
"There is a live broadcast of the competition so family members can watch, Sona and Tsubaki are here to help out with that as for Ichigo he was invited to watch." Rias says as she looks towards Issei.
"And besides it's her first Rating Game I wouldn't miss an event like this for anything." Sona said.
"Well, I'll do everything in my power to make it interesting for you." Rias says smiling at Sona.
That was when a magic circle appeared and Grayfia announced the game was about to begin and will be using the magic circle she used to transport Rias, her peerage, and Mikoto to the battlefield.
After Issei asked about where the battlefield was going to be Akeno explained it was in an alternate space that was created for the game to avoid property damage.
Sona and Tsubaki took there leave with Sona saying she will be watching the game as for Ichigo he decided to tell Mikoto to follow Rias's orders since this is for Rias to prove herself.
"Fine I'll just sit back and let her direct me." Mikoto grumbled as she crossed her arms not liking taking orders from a person she didn't really like.
With that said Ichigo left to go back to the student council room.
"That reminds me to tell you Lord Lucifer will be watching the game." Grayfia says in a monotone voice.
"Oh, brother dearest." Rias says to herself not really caring.
"Wait your brother is the Lucifer?" Issei asks surprised.
"Yes, his name is Sirzechs and he took the role of Lucifer after the great war." Kiba said with a smile.
"Well, that explains why Rias is the next heir to the house of Gremory." Asia said.
"What does this have to do with the Rating Game!" Mikoto shouted annoyed about everyone losing focus on their main objective.
Everyone looked at Mikoto surprised at her outburst.
"Look I get you don't like your family that much, but you need to stay focused on the task at hand or you'll end up married to that scumbag ok." Mikoto said sternly as she looked Rias in the eyes.
Rias looked back at Mikoto then smiled happy that Mikoto was bringing her out of her funk.
"Your right there's no time to feel down we just have to stay focused on winning." Rias said as she closed her eyes.
"It's time everyone." Grayfia said as the teleportation circle grew bigger.
Everyone that was sitting stood up and headed to the circle along with Mikoto as Grayfia stood by outside of the circle.
There was a flash and the next thing everyone saw is that they were in the same room as before minus Grayfia.
"Thats weird, I think our magic circle is broken." Asia said confused about what happened.
"Did I screw it up again?" Issei asked not understanding what was happening.
"Your attention please. Welcome everyone my name is Grayfia and I am a servant of the house of Gremory, I will be your referee for today's match. To create the battlefield, we will be competing in I took suggestions from both Lady Rias and Lord Riser, you may recognize this place as an exact replica of Kuoh Academy an education institution in the human world." Grayfia announced to the people watching.
"What does she mean?" Issei asks confused about the whole situation.
"Take a look outside." Rias told Issei which he did by going to a window and opening it he was shortly followed by Asia and Mikoto only to see the sky have what can only be described as northern lights.
"This is an alternate space trust me we are not at school anymore." Akeno informed Issei, Asia, and Mikoto.
As Issei and Asia was freaking out Mikoto was remembering what Akeno said earlier and smirked.
"Okay why are you smirking?" Issei asked in a panic not liking the look Mikoto was giving.
"Each team has been given a base; Lady Rias your crew has been given the Occult Research Club in the old schoolhouse as well as being lent a pawn by a benefactor, Lord Riser home base has been located in the principal's office in the new schoolhouse and has chosen to receive an extra item for this Rating Game, pawns will be promoted if they reach the base of the opposing team, good luck to all" Grayfia announced.
After Grayfia was done talking Issei said something that made Mikoto wonder how he got into Kuoh Academy in the first place.
"I'm going to fight my way to their home base right out of the gate get promoted to something awesome and beat the crap out of Lord douche nasal." Issei said making Akeno and Kiba point out that it was a bad idea.
Koneko was walking around giving everyone a small glowing red ball which according to Rias, it would help them communicate during the battle making Mikoto reluctantly put the red ball in her ear.
A bit later Grayfia announced the start of the Rating Game.
Rias then pulled out a map of the school and placed it on her desk as everyone gathered around to discuss a battle strategy.
"The enemy base is across the way, cutting through the school grounds might be quick but not an option." Rias said focusing on the map on the table thinking of a strategy to win.
"They will see us from a mile away." Koneko said only for Rias to say "Exactly."
"If we go through the track field and sneak in the back, we might have the element of surprise on are side." Issei suggested only to be shot down by Rias.
"My guess is that he will station knight or rooks with strong ability behind the athletic club house." Rias said to her group.
"That doesn't live us with very many options then does it" Akeno said a little worried.
"First things first I think we should secure the gymnasium before we do anything else, it's adjacent to their home base and not too far from us, but most importantly it will serve as a distraction for the other side." Kiba said.
"The gymnasium is in the middle of the battlefield, whoever gets to it first will have a leg up for sure." Akeno said confirming what Kiba was thinking.
"Good call given our options that is are best chance, Koneko do you think you can handle getting in the gym and locking it down?" Rias asked only for Koneko to nod her head.
Asia was starting to get scared about all the talk about fighting but Issei reassured her that it will be fine.
"We need to set up a defensive parameter, Kiba and Koneko go out there and set some traps in the woods." Rias ordered getting a confirmation from the two and having Koneko summon a cat she called Shiro.
This made Mikoto pause and look wanting to pet the cat that had just jumped on Koneko's head, but her hand was scratched by the feline as it hissed at her.
"Shiro calm down I know you are scared but we have work to do." Koneko said as she calmed the cat by petting it.
"That was weird Shiro usually doesn't do that, I wonder why?" Rias said confused as Kiba, Koneko, and of course Shiro left to do what they were ordered.
"Trust me there is a reason cats don't like me." Mikoto said nursing her hand that was scratched.
"Anyways Akeno I need your expertise, after the traps are set, I want you to cast illusion magic on the forest." Rias ordered.
"Very well." Akeno said and bowed before leaving.
"What about us?" Mikoto asked a little annoyed about sitting around doing nothing.
"Asia you are my healing support so you need to keep close to base, Mikoto I don't know what you can do, and Issei come here." Rias says as she sits on a couch.
She continues "Put your head here." gesturing to her lap causing Mikoto to blush.
Issei was nerves and tried to avoid the situation but after being ordered to go by Rias he did.
Issei put his head on Rias's lap started crying about how it was the nicest thing that anyone has ever done to him.
"Issei, I cast a little spell on you it's time to unlock it." Rias said with a smile shocking Issei and Asia.
Rias then puts her hand on Issei's head and Issei's eyes widen as Rias said, "When you became a foot soldier, I told you it took eight of my pawn pieces but what I didn't tell you is how much power you received." confusing Issei and Asia as Mikoto didn't look all that impressed.
Rias explained that if she released all his power at once his body wouldn't be able to take it hence the spell and that she just unlocked a portion of his power.
This led to Asia praying to God to be forgiven for being jealous of Rias when she was only trying to help Issei.
That was something Mikoto couldn't understand, how a sweet girl like Asia fell in love with such a pervert.
After Rias told Issei not to hold back because his enemies are girls Akeno used the communication magic to tell Rias that everything was ready.
"All right everybody here is the game plan." Rias says communicating with all her peerage plus Mikoto before telling them her plan.
Small Time Skip
Mikoto was with Rias and Asia inside the ORC sitting on a couch next to Asia as Rias gave orders to her peerage.
When she was done giving orders, she turned to Mikoto and asked, "What powers do you have?"
Mikoto looked at her for a second before realizing that she never told Rias about her powers and said, "Well where I come from, I'm what's known as an Esper someone who emits an AIM diffusion field in other words an invisible energy field that emits involuntarily from my body to bring forth my personal reality."
Asia looked confused but Rias said, "As fascinating as that is it doesn't tell me what your powers are."
"I was getting to that!" Mikoto snapped before calming back down.
"Like I was saying my powers got the title of Electromaster." Mikoto said proudly.
"So, you can use electricity?" Asia asked a little confused.
"Yes, but it's not limited to something simple like electrocuting people but has a variety of uses like electromagnetism, summoning a thunder cloud, or hacking electronics." Mikoto said as she listed off a few things but not everything to Asia and Rias.
"Your quite versatile however I need to know can you fight on the front lines?" Rias asked seriously.
Mikoto looked at Rias and said, "Yes but I'm more of a mid-ranged fighter." making Rias smile.
"I see that's good enough for me, please go assist Koneko and Issei." Rias said.
"Ok, better than sitting around here." Mikoto said with a shrug as she left the ORC and headed towards the Gym.
By the Gym
When Mikoto got to the Gym there was a loud crackle of thunder that hit the Gym only for it to collapse.
When Mikoto looked up she saw Akeno and then heard Issei's annoying laugh that's when Mikoto realized that Issei and Koneko were on the other side of the Gym.
She then heard a boom and Issei scream Koneko's name.
"What the hell!?" Mikoto thought as she began to run to the other side of the Gym.
When she got there, she saw Akeno flying in front of Issei protecting him from the women Riser kissed before.
Akeno turned her head looking at Issei with a smile and said, "Issei I can take care of this trash you and Mikoto should go on ahead ok."
That's when Issei looked behind him and saw Mikoto with wide eyes.
"Mikoto when did you get here?!" Issei shouted in shock.
"I've been here pervert." Mikoto said with a deadpan expression annoyed at Issei's lack of awareness.
"Either way she's right Issei, let's go." Mikoto said with a serious expression as she started running towards the athletic field as Issei reluctantly followed.
As Mikoto and Issei were running towards the athletic field the heard an announcement of 3 of Riser's pawn retired.
As they ran they were pulled to the side by Kiba who Mikoto almost zapped.
"Kiba, I almost fried you, you idiot!" Mikoto quietly shouted as she realized they were hiding.
"Haha, sorry." Kiba said while rubbing the back of his head as he lead Mikoto and Issei to a storage shed for sports equipment.
Issei talked to Kiba about him getting the 3 pawns out until Rias voice came from over the magic communication ball in there ear.
"Kiba, Issei, Makoto do you read me, I am going to launch a sneak attack on there base with Asia, I want you to draw as many of the enemy away from the entrance as possible."
"Ain't that dangerous?" Issei asked with concern laced in his voice.
"I have no choice, I was planing on giving Akeno time to recover so she can blast them one by one but know Riser sent his queen so I need her focus there." Rias said.
