Exciting Arrival of the Vytal Festival
Sun is checking himself on the warrior making sure his fighting gloves are on right along with checking out his weapon, twirling it around in staff form and snapping them off into nun-chuck mode as he strikes a cool pose.
"Oh yeah, everything is looking cool." Sun winked at himself.
"Yo, Sun! We're ready on our end." Neptune informed as he and the others have just finished their checkup inspection.
"Nice, now let's go experience the Vytal Festival that only team SSSN knows how to have a good time!" Sun raised his fist in the air.
"Yeah!" His team cheered also raising their fists in the air.
"Alright then, let's move out and have fun!" Sun kicked the door open and march out.
"Good thing the door was even lock." Scarlet relieved as the others leave the room with Sage closing the door as being the last one to leave the room.
Team SSSN made their way to the cafeteria about to get some breakfast to fill in their bellies along with meeting up with some of their friends, including some are Sun's girlfriends as they are happy to see him join them for the morning meal.
"You guys excited for today?" Sun asked.
"It's the day I was born to be ready for!" Mika raised her fist that is holding a fork with a sausage in the air, then chomps on that sausage.
"I too am in such high spirit to give this my all!" Elena nodded with her hands clapping.
"I feel you, girl. This is going to be the most exciting and awesomeness thing that is ever going to happen to me!" Yang excited as well.
"Don't let all that excitement go over your head, we got to remain focus because we'll be up against students from other school and the include the upperclassmen." Blake reminded her.
"Hey, where's Ruby?" Neptune asked noticing team RWBY's leader isn't here.
"Oh, she actually left to visit home for a bit, but she said she'll be back before tournament starts." Weiss answered.
"Oh, wanting to get some kissy good luck from both mommies?" Nora teased and making a kissy face.
"Something like that, but it's also to visit our dad's grave to tell him the exciting things what has been happening since we came to Beacon." Yang explained before eating her ham.
"I bet she got a lot to tell him about, I just hope she doesn't tell him about how we met and the nicknames we gave to each other." Jaune said, remembering that moment when they met.
"I'm sure wouldn't make the talk that long, but I bet dad would be laughing if she did tell him." Yang chuckled.
"Great, getting a laugh from a dead man." Jaune chuckled nervously.
"Don't worry, I'm sure the father of Yang and Ruby would be please that you are their friend." Pyrrha patted her leader's shoulder, that did seem to cheer Jaune up.
"Well, just you wait and see how team SSSN is gonna take home the gold this year." Sun smirked with his fist.
"Oh, and here I was hoping you would let me have a win when we face each other." Yang acted innocent.
"Nice try, Yang. But I don't like to hold myself back when it comes important things like competing in a big event, got to give it my all or else I would be insulting myself and the other competitors." Sun stated.
"That's good to hear because I plan on causing you best with mine." Yang smirked.
"Oh yeah, not that's one of the reasons I fell for you!" Sun fist-bumped with Yang.
"Time to go?" Sage asked.
"We still got time before the tournament starts, but you are right, Sage. We should be going to the Bullheads to get there soon." Weiss stated finishing up her breakfast.
"Well, in that case…" Sun paused for a moment as he finishes his plate.
"Last one to the dock is a rotten Grimm!" Sun sprinted to the door leaving the cafeteria, and his team immediately follow him from behind.
"Hey, no fair! You gave yourself a head start!" Mika laughed as she got up and run.
Everyone soon started running together making their way to the dock where the Bullheads still a few of them to take the teens to the arena, and there is also the three older women talking to each other.
"Oh man, I can still remember how Dan even managed to survive through the two first rounds of the tournament." Chun-Li laughed.
"You're telling me, that guy was pathetic yet somehow managed to win with his team and even took out one of the opponents in the double round with him." Cammy remembered that part.
"Well, that goes to show you that life is always full of surprises." Glynda stated.
"Hey, you guys going to the tournament too?" Nora asked getting their attention.
"Yeah, we all decided to go sit together at the seats at the arena. Thought it would help lighten up our little boredom than watching the tournament from the TV." Chun-Li explained.
"Well then, you guys are going to be in for quite a show to see how awesome I'll be." Sun smirked.
"Now Sun, remember not to be too cocky when fighting otherwise you'll end up down with your face on the ground." Cammy scolded making the others laugh a little and Sun blushes a bit of embarrassment.
"Okay, I promise to be careful and be sharp." Sun exclaimed.
"Good, that's all I needed to hear." Cammy smiled and kissed him on the lips as he kisses her back.
"That guy is over lucky." Scarlet commented as his other teammates nod in agreement.
Yang felt a buzzing coming from her breasts as she reaches between the cleavage pulling out her Scroll and saw a text message from Ruby.
"Hey guys, Ruby said she's on her way to the arena with both our moms." Yang informed.
"That's good to hear, I wasn't sure if she was gonna make it to the Amity Colosseum considering how little childish, she can be sometimes." Weiss said with her arms cross.
"She has her moments." Blake pointed out.
"Come along, everyone. I believe you all came for the Bullhead ride." Glynda gestured her hand to the Bullheads.
Everyone agrees that it's time to leave for the arena getting in the Bullhead as they enjoy the relaxing ride, and Neptune ask Weiss to sit next to him for a little talk that has been bubbling his mind for a while and wanted her opinion on those thoughts.
Menat look over to her beloved monkey man seeing him looking a little uneasy on the face knowing that it must be the nervous for the tournament.
"Nervous for the tournament, Sun?" Menat asked.
"What? No, of course not. Everything is fine, why would you think I'm nervous?" Sun asked, trying to play it cool.
"Because have that look on your face, and your tail is twitching too." Menat pointed down at the twitching monkey tail.
"Oh, guess I am." Sun admitted with a sigh.
"There's nothing wrong with being nervous, you just have to stay calm and wait for the moment for your time to shine." Glynda advised.
"Thanks, I think I'll give you another dance after the tournament." Sun offered making Glynda blush.
"I hope you mean a sexy dance." Yang smirked teasing her teacher.
"Yang Xiao Long!" Glynda glared at her blonde student.
"Worth it!" Yang smiled holding up two peace signs.
"Hey, I can see the arena now!" Elena announced to her friends and fellow lovers.
Everyone look ahead seeing they are indeed seeing the very arena that is being use for every Vytal Festival that happens every year, the Amity Colosseum that is a mighty floating stadium for the tournament where the young Hunter trainees go to compete each other and test their skills to show the world.
"Oh man, I hope team RWBY goes first!" Yang excited.
"Oh please, as if you guys are that lucky to go in first." Ibuki rolled her eyes.
"Whatever the case, I'm sure our battles will be legendary!" Mika cheered.
"You can say that again." Sun agreed with his wrestling girlfriend with a nod.
(Later)
"Yeah, go team RWBY!" Sun cheered with the others.
Ruby is shooting at one of her opponents while Blake is trading blows with a girl name Reese on her hoverboard until she flips away and ready herself to attack again, Weiss is waving her sword to make a wave of ice while Yang just dodges a strong blow from Arslan and threw in her own punch with Ember Celica.
"Looking good, girls!" Summer called out as Raven watches this with her arms cross under her breasts and smiling.
"Hello! It seems that we have another astonishing bout ahead of us! Wouldn't you agree, Professor?" Port turned to Oobleck as they are both sitting in the sportscaster box.
"Doctor. And yes Peter, I think it's safe to say this match may be the closest we've seen of the four-on-four round of the tournament!" Oobleck amazed.
"For those of you just now joining us, welcome to the Vytal Festival Tournament, broadcast live from the Amity Colosseum!" Port gestured his hand for a giant hologram screen appearing.
"If this is your first time watching, allow us to break down the rules." Port said.
"The tournament is divided into three distinctive rounds: teams, doubles, and singles. Age and school year are irrelevant! In this tournament, your only attribute being tested... is skill." Oobleck said with a serious look in his eyes.
"Correct! The winners of this battle will elect two of their members to represent them in the doubles round, followed by the winners of that round choosing one member to advance once again. The remaining combatants will then fight their way through the final bracket in the hope of achieving victory for their kingdom!" Port explained the rest of the rules.
"You know, hearing these rules reminds me of the time of you how never want to listen to any rules." Summer glanced at Raven with a grin.
"Those rules felt like a waste of time back then, but it's not like I could go on breaking on when I was focus on my training." Raven stated.
"Oh, I'm sure you were also focusing on something else. Or should I say two." Summer giggled as one hand on Raven's lap and the other on her cheek.
"H-Hey, Summer!" Raven gasped with her cheeks blushing a bit and felt more embarrassed when Summer kissed her cheek causing the red eye woman to groan.
"And yes, Peter, these certainly are some spectacular spectacles on which to spectate on! I don't think anyone tuning in around the world is going to disagree with me on that!" Oobleck excited.
"Ahh, and why would they? Now, let's get back to the match between Team RWBY of Beacon, and Team ABRN, of Haven." Port said looking back at the fight on the stage.
Back to the fight, Reese comes at Blake with throwing her hoverboard at the cat-Faunus girl who deflects it back which her opponent responded with strike sending the board back to Blake, and Blake smacks the board away only to come back into Reese's hands to block some strikes.
Reese backflip to jump onto her hoverboard to make another charge which Blake was ready for as she made an ice clone, Reese fell for it and made a strong slash sending her flying and cut her board in half, but the board actually split itself on Reese command becoming two guns blasting at Blake who dodges them.
But made an epic fail on the landing when her butt hit the ice hard causing Reese to groan and Blake gasp as well.
"Oh, now that's a cold way to land." Sun flinched from the sight a bit.
Yang goes in with a punch to the ground as Arslan backs away from the strike only to get punched by two quick punches, but after dodging each other's kicks Arslan land some heavy hits of her own to Yang. Then the two reel their fists back and collided their punch causing a massive shockwave that pushes each other back.
"(Damn, this chick is strong.)" Yang thought excited.
Yang charges at Arslan with a couple of kicks which her opponent dodges and wrapping one leg with her rope dart to pull her in and kicks her to the ice side.
Yang gets up though struggles to keep her balance due to the slippery of the ice.
"Remember to keep your guard up!" Raven called out.
Yang looks up see Arslan charging at her for a punch and quickly blocks it with her arms though got sliding back from the force of the punch and her legs shaking from the slippery struggle.
Nadir Shiko of team ABRN ready to attack Yang with his assault rifle, but suddenly a blast hits him on the legs and now being in encased in ice.
"Got your back." Ruby said as been the one who shot the ice blast at the opponent.
"But who's got yours?" Bolin asked as he twirl his staff, about to attack Ruby from behind.
But a big black glyph appeared on Bolin's left and was kicked into it by Weiss sending the guy flying to the lava side and crashing onto a rock.
"My BFF!" Ruby smiled.
"No." Weiss deadpanned before going to attack Bolin.
"Yes." Ruby said softly to herself, knowing that Weiss is indeed her BFF.
Bolin got himself back up seeing the white hair rich girl is coming though as struck by her speedy strike, but he managed to defend himself from above when Weiss tries to attack him that way.
Weiss creates a white glyph for Ruby who jumps high and strikes at Bolin who blocks the attack with his staff, Ruby pulls the trigger pushing Bolin back and down on the ground as she flips back to Weiss.
Bolin got up then noticing the fire crystals behind them, and he decided to charge in dodging their attempts to stop him though confuse of what he is doing.
Bolin reach for the crystals snapping one with his staff and tossing one to Reese who caught it and place it into her hoverboard changing the green of her hoverboard to red.
Reese rides her board to Nadir freeing him from the ice with the heat from her board and charges at Blake with a heatwave blast sending her crashing through a big ice block.
"Things just got heated up." Mika commented.
Reese jumps for a board stomp as Blake dodges and made a Shadow Clone to dodge a flaming flip spin, Blake retreated behind a big wall of ice and Reese follows her.
She spotted Black standing there with her back turn, Reese goes in to take her out consider how close she is to the edge, but it was all a trap as she only hit a Shadow Clone with a ribbon to stop Reese and kick her out of the stage.
"Ooh, a double whammy! Reese Chloris is eliminated by ringout and Aura level!" Port announced.
"Oh, she really should've worn a helmet!" Oobleck commented.
Arslan and Yang was sliding around the ice side as the latter is trying to catch her with a punch.
Nadir was about to fire away again with his gun only to be stop when Weiss send Bolin to crash onto his fellow teammate, then Weiss use gravity of her Black Glyph to make the boys float bumping onto each other than trapping them in a big fist-ball made of ice.
Arslan saw this and hurry to help her teammates and making a martial art stance to break the ice with one punch.
"Yang!" Weiss called out before quickly making a giant wall of ice. "Now!"
Yang nods understanding the plan running and blast-sliding on the ice wall as Blake toss her blade to her, then Blake got a boost from Ruby going for the extra jump.
Blake spins for a mighty throw with Yang going over her and screams as she throws the punch at the opponent team who didn't have time to react to that as they are all send flying out of the stage.
"Yes!" Yang smiled.
"And that's the match! Team RWBY is victorious!" Port announced.
"AAAAAAH! Our girls did it!" Summer squealed of joy as she hugs onto Raven.
"Yeah, they really did it." Raven smiled clapping her hands.
"AWESOME!" Sun screamed jumping from his seat.

And now we are at the start of Volume 3 where the big Vytal Festival is going off with a big bang with team RWBY claiming their first win in the tournament, and it's also gonna be the festival that no one will ever forget.
