Off for Noodle Bowls and Bonding Time

"...is anyone else starving?" Ruby asked as she hunched over.

"I may have worked up an appetite." Blake said with her hands behind her head.

"Then it's a good thing we came to the fairground there are plenty of food for us to try, even ones from other Kingdoms." Summer gestured their surroundings.

"Well, I already tasted some food from two kingdoms, three if you count my time here in Beacon." Sun said.

"Where should we go for lunch?" Neptune asked.

"To be honest, I don't care as long as it's the kind of food that makes me full then I'm fine." Raven rolled her eyes.

"Come on! I know just the place." Yang grinned as she has the perfect idea for where to go to get their bellies full.

Weiss stops for a moment looking at her phone seeing her Scroll getting a call from her father which upsets her, pressing the decline button to ignore his call and follow the others.

Raven narrows her eyes sensing something from behind and made a fast dash pulling out her sword and stopping at the neck of the surprise and scared Emerald who yelps of the sudden action with both hands in the air.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, I come in peace! I swear to God!" Emerald pleaded with the woman to not attack her. This also got the attention of the others.

"Does your definition coming in peace mean taking someone's wallet?" Raven asked moving her sword to the hand holding Ruby's wallet.

"H-Hey, that's my wallet!" Ruby gasped.

"Oh yeah, sorry about that. I was just testing you to see if you wouldn't notice, but you didn't." Emerald explained her reason.

Raven can sense this girl isn't exactly telling the whole truth though one half of say she is saying maybe true, she decided to play along for now and sheath her sword and stares intensely at Emerald for a moment.

"Well, it would seem you have already been defeated without realizing, Ruby Branwen-Rose." Raven said glaring at Ruby a bit.

"Yeah, it almost like you want people to take your things." Sun chuckled.

"What? No, I don't want to be robbed, how was I supposed to know someone was gonna take my wallet? It was the girl pockets. Girl pockets are the worst!" Ruby proclaimed only to get smack on the head by Raven.

"Don't go blaming the clothes, I taught you better than to let your guard down even when you claim victory from a battle." Raven reminded her.

"Easy Raven, I know the girls are surrounded by other competitors f the tournament, but this is also a festival and it's meant to bring peace in mind for everyone coming together." Summer pointed out.

"She's right, it's not wise to always be tense when you're trying to enjoy the festival." Cammy added.

"Maybe so, but Ruby just showed one of her future opponents that she's easy to catch off guard." Raven stated.

"She got you there, Ruby." Yang giggled.

"So, you've been doing good, Em?" Sun asked.

"Yeah, just left the stadium after your amazing fight! You guys were awesome!" Emerald complimented to team RWBY.

"I know, weren't they great with the fighting and the teamwork! I'm so proud of my strong little girls!" Summer squealed hugging Yang and Ruby much to their embarrassment.

"I heard your team progressed to the next round too." Blake mentioned.

"Oh yeah, the fight you guys had was intense. I almost fell off the edge of my seat with how you guys were fighting." Sun smiled.

"He really was." Neptune said.

"Thanks, Cinder was hoping the fight would be pleasing to you." Emerald informed.

"It was, and I saw one of your teammates that looks like a goth was really playing with her opponent there with a little showing of a dominate side." Sun recalled that goth girl.

"Dominate side?" Emerald confused of what the monkey boy means.

"Stomping that one guy repeatedly until his aura went to zero." Scarlet mentioned.

"Yeah, that." Sun nodded.

"Oh, well, she doesn't get much compliments for her approach in a fight. I'll be sure to tell her that." Emerald said.

"Cool and tell Cinder I'll be looking forward to seeing her again in the tournament, and maybe you can come along too." Sun offered with a wink and a gentle hand.

Emerald suddenly felt her heart racing for a couple of seconds as her cheeks are also blushing from just those simple words, she didn't know why she is feeling this way and now she's starting to feel a little nervous with this monkey guy being so close to her.

"It looks like Sun got his eyes set on two girls now." Yang smirked.

"Guess you can't keep the banana stay in the peal for long." Blake sighed.

"But wouldn't he want to eat the banana?" Ruby confused innocently.

"I'll explain that to you later, sweetie." Summer said.

"A-Actually, I got lots of things to do, but I'm s-sure Cinder wouldn't mind hanging out with you." Emerald stepped back a little.

"Cool. We were just about to grab some food for team RWBY's victory, I was hoping for you and your team could join us until you mentioned you're busy." Sun said.

"Right, but it's a good thing you had second thoughts on that because one or two of my teammates are… Really socially awkward." Emerald mentioned looking over to see Mercury looking at one boot.

"That's too bad." Neptune shrugged.

"Oh yeah, looks like Merc and I are going to move on to the doubles round. What about you guys?" Emerald asked.

"Well, as the leader of this team, I thought long and hard about this decision." Ruby answered though immediately got the hand on the face by Raven.

"Ruby, it would seem you have forgotten one of my lessons of never revealing anything to your opponents even if they happen to be your friends." Raven stated.

"She does have a point; you'd want to surprise your enemies with a hidden deck for a time before revealing them when the time is right." Menat said walking up to them.

"Hey there, babe." Sun agreed with a kiss on the lips.

"Hello there, Emerald. Would you like to have your fortune read; you might like what you may hear." Menat offered with her crystal ball.

"No thanks, I'm good. I'm gonna head back to my team. And if I see any of you in the next round, don't expect us to go easy." Emerald warned.

"Wouldn't have it any other way." Yang smirked.

"Yeah, you're gonna feel how it's like facing the awesome Monkey King!" Sun pounded his fists together with a smirk.

"Great, see you later." Emerald waved goodbye and walk away with Mercury.

"So, how are the new friends?" Mercury asked sarcastically.

"I hate them." Emerald scowled.

"Orders are orders." Mercury shrugged.

"I just... how can they be so happy all the time!?" Emerald wondered if these guys even know what they're really doing or just playing around.

"Did you at least get what we want?" Mercury asked.

"No, the scary mom prevented the information from being leaked, so I couldn't get anything out of them." Emerald sighed.

"Damn, that's rough." Mercury surprised and looked back at the group.

"Which one of them is the scary mom?" Mercury asked.

"The one who looks like an older version of Yang with black hair." Emerald answered.

"Oh, that scary mom. Yeah, I can see why you couldn't get any info out of her." Mercury nodded.

"But I am a bit surprise to see the infamous woman who used to be the bandit leader would ever settle down in a life like this." Mercury said though not out loud so nobody could hear him.

"Guess she must've gotten sick of that life, talk about weak." Emerald commented.

(With Sun and Others)

Everyone is standing in front of the noodle stand with the sign says "A Simple Wok" with an old man working there alone at the counter.

"We're really going to eat here?" Neptune asked not sure about this.

"I think it looks like fine." Summer smiled.

"At least this should help with Mika and the… accident with the dart game." Ibuki mentioned.

"I didn't mean it get the guy on the shoulder, he just happened to be there when he was trying to chase away the fly." Mika explained.

"Don't worry, we'll get you fill." Yang promised.

"But we're a big group. How will the guy serve us?" Scarlet asked.

The old man smiles and presses a button under the counter causing a longer length of a table to extend on the left side and more stools pop out forming in front of the new long counter.

"Like that." Sage said while Scarlet is completely shocked of this.

"Alright, time to get!" Sun declared.

Everyone sat down each ordering their bowls of noodles though some wanted something added to the noodles, and Raven managed to convince the old man to do so while Blake and Mika got themselves a big bowl of fish and meat as they of the sight.

Weiss grins as she took out her Schnee Dust Company credit card as the old man took.

"Aw, Weiss! What's the occasion!?" Yang asked.

"Yes, you rarely use your card unless it's something important like weapon maintenance and looking for a pretty dress like the one for the dance." Elena remembered what Ruby told her before.

"Consider it thanks for sending me to the doubles round." Weiss answered.

Suddenly her credit card was thrown to her stabbing the table causing everyone to look at the old man, he points at the screen of his cash register with the word "DECLINED" blinking.

"What?! How can my card be declined? I was barely into my monthly allowance!" Weiss confused.

The old man was about to take their bowls away, but Summer stops him and hold out her own credit card.

"We'll pay for the meals, it's the least we can do for how wonderful our friends and her friends have done. And also, to wish the others luck for their future fights." Summer offered.

"They did do well, might as well." Raven handed the old man her credit card too.

"Hey, do you have room for a few more?" Jaune asked as he and team JNPR walks up to them.

"Hello, everyone." Pyrrha greeted friendly.

"We were hoping to get some positive energy from our friends before our match starts." Nora explained their reason of being here.

"Sure, the more the merrier!" Sun nodded.

A little over half an hour later, everyone has finish eating their bowls as they smile in satisfaction of a good lunch, they have eaten though some are feeling a little sick holding their stomachs from having to eat too much food including Jaune and Ren.

"Oh my, I don't think I've ever eaten that much before." Elena said before letting out a small burp much to her surprise.

"I'm glad we're not the ones going up next, I need my stomach to settle down." Ibuki groaned a bit.

"If you guys can't handle holding all that food in, then you might as well go pick a different career." Raven scolded them for sounding weak.

"Easy mom, not everyone can handle being a food destroyer like you." Yang chuckled.

"Are you sure it's wise to have eaten before a fight?" Ren asked Pyrrha.

"Of course! It will give us energy!" Pyrrha believed, then Nora let out a loud burp.

"Please, I can do better." Sun smirked and patted himself on the back with his tail to let out a slightly louder and longer burp.

"Oh, sounds like someone is trying to take away my thunder." Nora smirked.

"Please stop with the burping." Jaune said sickly with his face on the counter.

"Pyrrha… If I barf, I'm blaming you." Jaune said.

"Ooh! Aim at the enemy!" Nora suggested with a grin.

"Nora, that's disgusting. But if you feel the urge ..." Ren sighed and Jaune just gave a wave.

"I believe no one would like to see the leader of a team barfing on their opponent. Such an uncivilized manner." Karin scolded as she walks up to them.

"Hey Karin, came to wish us luck?" Nora asked smiling.

"That and remind you of being at the coliseum several minutes ago." Karin answered.

"Oh, we better get going then." Jaune said as he got himself up and grab his gear.

"Hope you guys are ready for the big lead." Sun said.

"Of course! We've got a world-renowned fighter on our team, one's basically ninja, I can bench five of me, Jaune, we trained all year, our weapons are awesome, Glynda barely yells at us anymore, and uh... Jaune!" Nora tried to think of a good thing to say about Jaune besides having a good heart.

"Are you gonna take that?" Ren asked his leader.

"She's not exactly wrong, I haven't even discovered my Semblance yet." Jaune sighed, feeling disappointed at himself.

"Hey, don't worry!" Nora wrapped one arm onto Jaune's shoulder.

"The worst that can happen is we lose, that is just a few more years of walking around school with everyone knowing we're failures, our friends will slowly abandon us to preserve their social status, we won't be able to show our" Nora was suddenly slap in the face by Karin.

"No, Nora. You shall not be talking such negative things about yourself and your team, you have all worked too hard making it this far and now you're going to represent your entire kingdom to show them your strength and determination." Karin said strongly.

"Aw, thanks! I need that, and the slap, the slap definitely helped." Nora smiled.

"Now, off to the fight!" Karin pointed the way.

"Yes, ma'am!" Nora marched forward with her team following.

"You know, we went through a lot this school year." Sun realized that now.

"Let's see. Grimm invasions, violent extremists, a destructive sociopath..." Blake listed a few things they have faced.

"And that's all while were still in training! Oh, imagine what it would be like to graduate!" Ruby excited.

"You would definitely be a strong Huntress in my book." Summer smiled.

"But you should let those things go over your head, you may have helped calm things down from the invasion, but I'm afraid the bad guys are still out there planning their next move." Summer stated looking worry.

"You mean Adam?" Blake said with her eyes narrow.

"That and we think there are probably other people working in the shadows, waiting for the right moment to make their move. And what better way to do that than this very moment of the Vytal Festival." Raven crossed her arms.

"What? You don't think they'd do anything that could throw off the entire kingdom, right?" Weiss asked worry.

"I'm that could be the case, but we're gonna have to be prepare for the unknown once it comes for us." Raven said as she stands up.

"Yes, until we know for sure of what the enemies are up to, we'll just have to continue on with our merry life but best to keep your guard up." Summer nodded.

The young teens look at each other for a moment thinking about what the two experience Huntresses just said, and Sun has a strong feeling that Adam won't be too far behind within the path of destruction.

(Amity Coliseum)

Sun and the others have found their own seats close to each other and then he spotted Cinder sitting with her teammates and one spot open, he smirks jumping to the chair landing next to her.

"Is this seat taken?" Sun asked surprising the secret evil woman.

"Oh no, you just came at the right moment. I was starting to worry we wouldn't be able to see each other again." Cinder grinned.

"I don't make it a habit of making others worry." Sun chuckled.

"You excited for this match?" Sun asked.

"As if we don't already know who will win." Mercury rolled his eyes; he flicks a corn in the air to catch it in his mouth, but Cinder caught it.

"Even if you know how the story ends, that doesn't make it any less fun to watch." Cinder said popping the corn into popcorn.

"Way to pop the point." Sun joked making her laugh.

They look down as the match with team JNPR of Beacon vs team BRNZ of Shade is about to begin.
