Draco: Call me narcissistic, but I miss the actual, viewable Hall of Fame feature on the PCs that disappeared in Generation VII. At least Sword and Shield have your team on the title screen. I would have Grand Stage feature a Hall of Fame. Probably have it appear as a menu item in Between Mode, and record your first time triumphing over the Pokétopia Championship. (And maybe the triumphs of OTHER Pokétopia Champions, like those on your friend list.)

When I said there were no battle modes exclusive to after you beat Peak Colosseum, I was simply pointing out that Grand Stage as I've written it doesn't feature any esoteric battle modes throughout the Colosseums. Battle Revolution gave Joe, Sashay, and Kruger completely separate battle modes after you beat Mysterial for the first time: Joe hosted a "Trade Battle" to expand the selection on your Rental Pass, Sashay hosted the (in)famous "Little Battle" format for prevolutions, and Kruger hosted a 100-Trainer "Survival Battle" straight out of Orre.

They also started showing up for a Masters Battle, which is just a Knockout Battle with powerful Pokémon, advanced tactics, and the Masters all packing Legendary and Mythical Pokémon in the back half. And yes, I did set up the Battle Club to let you face comparable foes in a Masters Invitational, but the Battle Club is specifically based on the Battle Chateau as a level-grinding locale. I would invite you to remember that Battle Chateau rematches with Gym Leaders, Elite Four, and the Champion all feature restricted teams of less than five Pokémon; despite the potential for higher levels, it's not exactly the same as, say, the Battleground in Platinum.

So I would like to imagine that Peak Colosseum might host something similar after you've won the Pokétopia Championship once. Not sure if it should be formatted like Title Defense in Alola, or have a new set of Masters Battles, but I would have the Pokétopia Championship be such a struggle so it can be the gateway to the hardest content Grand Stage can offer.

The Champion of Pokétopia

"...We... did it..."

Jeanne couldn't believe her eyes, stepping forward on the battlefield as Primarina made to recover; the silence was deafening, broken only by her words. "We won... We won? This... this can't be real...!"

Miku withdrew the unconscious Mawile with a smile. "It is real," she insisted, stepping forward as well. "I gave everything I had... and lost. And here, atop the pinnacle of Pokétopia, you stand triumphant."

She turned to the crowd watching in the stands, and her headset activated to broadcast her voice. "Ladies and gentlemen," she proclaimed, "I give you our Champion!"

The crowd exploded in cheer and applause, and the reality of what she had achieved finally struck. Jeanne turned to Primarina, the two trading joyous smiles; the Soloist Pokémon rose up on her tail and bowed before Jeanne made to withdraw her, and when she reached her empty hand to her heart, she found it pounding wildly.

"I can't believe it!" Luka's voice drew her attention to the others charging out of the red corner with smiles on their faces. "I never thought I'd see the day...!"

"I knew when we first saw you that you'd be going places," Meiko admitted, "but even I didn't think you'd go quite this far."

"That was incredible!" Len exclaimed. "I mean, our battle had me going, but that was...!"

"...unreal!" Rin agreed. "I had no idea where the fight was gonna go at any given moment!"

Kaito nodded. "And now that you've surpassed the greatest of us all," he mused, "I can't help but wonder where you intend to go from here."

"Who said I'm going anywhere?" Jeanne asked. "I might be a Champion now, but I haven't had my fill of Pokétopia yet!"

Miku grinned. "Well spoken," she encouraged. "Then by all means, carry on! And if ever you want to face us again - here or anywhere else - we'll happily take you on!" She stepped forward and looped her arm around Jeanne's, catching the Champion off-guard. "But first, let's make sure you're remembered as a Champion."

A crimson blush spread across Jeanne's face as she was led out of the Colosseum - not towards the red or blue corners, but directly across the middle of the battlefield. The wall below the bleachers opened up to reveal an elevator, and Jeanne and the idols all stepped in, leaving the door to close behind them. Miku released Jeanne's arm as the elevator began to descend, and it took her probably a little longer than it should have to realize the lift wasn't double-sided; she turned around to face the door as the idols had, and soon it opened, revealing a long hallway with portraits set up on the walls.

"Here we are," Miku proclaimed, taking Jeanne's arm again as they started down the hall. "Pokétopia's own Hall of Fame."

Jeanne's gaze went to the portraits on the walls, finding Trainers posing upon them with teams of Pokémon. A brunette boy in a blue shirt and dark pants, accompanied by a Sandslash, Alakazam, Exeggutor, Cloyster, Ninetales, and Jolteon; a spiky-headed man in a purple ensemble and a black cape, surrounded by a trio of Dragonite as well as a Gyarados, Charizard, and Aerodactyl; a silver-haired man in a dark suit standing atop a Metagross, with a Skarmory, Claydol, Aggron, Cradily, and Armaldo at his sides; a long-haired blonde woman in a dark dress, posing with a Spiritomb, Roserade, Togekiss, Lucario, Milotic, and Garchomp; a man with a mane of red-and-orange hair, seated with an Accelgor, Bouffalant, Druddigon, Vanilluxe, Escavalier, and Volcarona; a woman in an elegant white dress, striking a refined pose alongside a Hawlucha, Tyrantrum, Aurorus, Gourgeist, Goodra, and Gardevoir; a man in a labcoat and little else, taking a fighting stance with an Alolan Ninetales, Lycanroc, Braviary, Magnezone, Snorlax, and Crabominable; a man in a sporty uniform with a furred cape, showboating alongside an Aegislash, Dragapult, Haxorus, Rhyperior, Corviknight; and a besuited woman with voluminous black hair, holding a finger before her face as she was surrounded by an Espathra, Gogoat, Veluza, Avalugg, Kingambit, and Glimmora.

"When we came into ownership of Pokétopia," Kaito observed, "hoping to turn it into a place where Trainers could gather from all over, Pokémon Leagues from many regions all gave us their blessing to make it the best we could."

"We have them to thank for being able to bring our battles to such heights," Luka admitted. "Without their support, we would never have been able to make this place as wonderful as it is, nor pose as much of a challenge as we can."

Meiko nodded. "All they asked in return is that we immortalize the greatest of our challengers properly. Record their names in the Hall of Fame, that they might forever be an example that others might strive to match."

"Whether you choose to stand and defend your title..." Rin mused.

"...or you wander freely as just another challenger..." Len added.

"...we'll make sure everyone who comes after you knows that you were here," Miku proclaimed. "That you surpassed us all, and became Champion. And the song of your victory will echo across the world."

At the end of the hall, there was a healing machine at one side of a large door. At Miku's direction, Jeanne set her Poké Balls into the machine and let it run its course before the group proceeded into the next room - an open chamber whose walls, ceiling, and floor seemed to almost crystalline.

"Now," Miku mused, "you and your Pokémon - time to make an impression!"

With a smile, Jeanne seized her Poké Balls, throwing them out one by one. Primarina, Archeops, Goodra, Lucario, Froslass, Volcarona; the six of them all took a moment to acknowledge their surroundings before turning to Jeanne, who smiled at them in return.

"We did it, guys! We're the champs!"

A massive passenger jet descended on Pokétopia as the sun was rising, landing swiftly at the airport near Arrival Colosseum. It wasn't long before the passengers departed with varying levels of haste; some wanted a moment to shake off the airsickness, while others were all too eager to dash ahead and partake in everything Pokétopia had to offer.

Somewhere in the middle of the spectrum was an eager-looking girl with fair skin and light brown hair, reaching halfway down her back despite the white hat resting atop her head. Collecting her bag from the luggage pickup, she glanced around the terminal in curiosity, wondering if the boat arrivals came to the same immigration gate, or if she'd have to make her way through first. A smile appeared on her face when she saw the one she was looking for - a boy her age, his own hair much more consumed by the red cap he wore, whose brim also obscured his face.

As Leaf made to approach him, Red raised his cap, and a smile appeared on his face - they'd finally made it.
