Kallik's interview: I think I'm going to vote for Trydan tonight. I don't have any problem with him. It's just that the longer I stay here, the more money I'll have to bring back to my people, and he's one of the bigger targets from what I've heard.

Kallik's interview, edited: I'm going to vote for Trydan tonight. I've heard… a lot of people have a… problem with him. He's one of the bigger targets.

Taylor's interview (unedited): I'm pretty sure Birdie is voting for me. I gutted a fish in front of her and was narrating it like I was a serial killer and she told me it was disrespectful. Get off your high horse.

Trydan Briod- District Five male (17)

There was always a quiet danger that settled over our camp the day before tribal council. Everyone was keen to discuss who to vote out, terrified of being seen talking with someone about who to vote out, straining to hear anyone saying they were the one getting voted out, and paranoid about doing something that might piss someone off.

Laundry was one of the few safe places to talk. As I scrubbed my pants alongside Kallik and Taylor, we naturally started to talk.

"I'll go ahead and tell," Taylor said with her usual boldness. "I'm voting for Birdie. I'm tired of getting the hairy eyeball when I eat fish."

"She called me a murderer once," Kallik remarked. "I'm not really mad, since that's kinda badass, but it was rude."

If it meant someone who wasn't me going home, I was in. "It's just, I'm hungry, you know? I'm not doing this to be mean."

"She been picking on you too?" Taylor asked, her eyes starting to spark.

I shrugged innocently. "Just a little," I admitted. A little vulnerability, fake or not, could go a long way.

"There's nothing worse than a bully," Taylor said darkly. She'd clearly made up her mind.

"I hear Val and Shep are trying to get Kendall out," Kallik commented.

"That's too bad. Kendall's pretty cool," I said. Really I didn't have much of an opinion on Kendall. I just knew Kallik was friends with him. I could see the wheels turning in her head that if Birdie went, Kendall didn't.

Later that night, just an hour or so before tribal council, I happened to cross paths with Leo while I was collecting water.

"So, any thoughts on tribal council?" I asked. Maybe it wasn't a good idea, but I hated ambiguity, so I went ahead. "I was thinking Birdie."

Leo looked around for eavesdroppers. "I might vote for Kallik," he said. "She's too strong to keep for long."

There was a good chance Birdie was voting for Kallik as well. If so, I could be the swing vote. I'd have to weigh my options. Who was the biggest target? Of the votes I'd heard, who was the most likely to have lied? Which choice would most of the others think I'd make? And how many people were secretly voting for me?

By the light of the bonfire flickering over the contestants' faces, we once again gathered to sniff a torch.

"Before we cast the votes, is there anything you'd like your tribe to know?" I asked.

Kendall wasted no time. "I know a lot of you don't like Careers, but think of what I bring to camp. I'm always the first to volunteer for gathering wood. I go out every day to fish or gather or hunt. Yes I'm doing all of that to save myself, but you all still get to benefit from it."

"And he'll help us win challenges. We shouldn't be stupid like Ellekoner and eliminate our strongest," Kallik broke in.

"At least a Career is better than a nag," Taylor said, pointedly not looking at her target.

"I'm not going to apologize for my morals." Birdie sat proud and defiant. "If I don't eat the fish, that's more for you."

"Maybe you could not eat the fish quietly?" Val suggested.

"A lot of good discussions happening here," I said after some more quibbling. "Are we ready to vote?"

"I believe we are," Birdie said coolly.

"If anyone would like to play an immunity idol, now is the time." When no one responded, the votes began.

"Once I read the votes, the decision is final." I picked out the first paper. "Kallik."

Kallik scrunched up one side of her mouth.

"Kallik. That's two votes Kallik, seven votes left."

"Birdie. That's two votes Kallik, one vote Birdie, six votes left." Birdie was unfazed.

"Birdie. That's two votes Kallik, two votes Birdie, five votes left."

"Shep. That's two votes Kallik, two votes Birdie, one vote Shep, four votes left." Shep looked up at his name but didn't panic. It seemed consensus at camp had been either Kallik or Birdie and he'd just caught a stray.

"Birdie. That's three votes Birdie, two votes Kallik, one vote Shep, three votes left."

"Birdie. That's four votes Birdie, two votes Kallik, one vote Shep, two votes left."

Birdie watched me with cold, level eyes as I unfolded the next vote. If it was anyone but Kallik, that was it.

"The sixth person eliminated from Survivor is Birdie."

Birdie's last interview: What's right is what's right. It's unfortunate I got eliminated for it but I'm proud I didn't back down. I'm going to take my prize money back home and start a community garden.

Sixth elimination: Birdie Seguaro

For the first time, the actual tribe speaks. It wasn't exactly a landslide. I suspect users have broken into alliances by now and Birdie wasn't in any so she got whacked. I think Birdie got shafted a little by me. I could have shown more with her love for all life and her strict morals. She went early enough it didn't get much screentime. She sticks to her guns, though, and not everyone can say they'd turn down a million bucks out of their morals about life being sacred. I'm sure Birdie will shine bright back home and make some real differences.

Taylor note: I won't always say who Taylor voted for, but this week she got no alliance queries so I cast her vote myself and will tell people since I have insider info and that does affect voting so it's fair everyone knows. Because Taylor got no alliance offers, I put her vote with the majority and voted Birdie, since it was a clear enough majority that her vote didn't affect anything.
