Kyushu, Area 11(Japan), Holy Empire of Britannia
Kyushu is the third largest island of Japan's five main islands and the most southerly of the four largest islands. In the past, it has been known as Kyūkoku, Chinzei and Tsukushi-no-shima. The historical regional name Saikaidō referred to Kyushu and its surrounding islands.
In the 8th-century Taihō Code reforms, Dazaifu was established as a special administrative term for the region.
Before the island region became a battlefield between the Britannian Empire and the Japanese Liberation Front parts of Kyushu's economy and environment have a subtropical climate, particularly Miyazaki prefecture and Kagoshima prefecture. Major agricultural products are rice, tea, tobacco, sweet potatoes, and soy; also, silk is widely produced. The island is noted for various types of porcelain, including Arita, Imari, Satsuma, and Karatsu. Heavy industry is concentrated in the north around Fukuoka, Kitakyushu, Nagasaki, and Oita and includes chemicals, automobiles, semiconductors, metal processing, shipbuilding...etc.
The Holy Empire of Britannia have mobilized their main opupieing forces from the regional capital of Area 11, under the command of Viceroy Cornelia Li Britannia. A wave of fighter jets from the north, led by the Reapers Emblem while a fleet of warships, both air and sea, coming from the east, reaching Miyazaki's waters.
Torii, pilot of the newly acquired Chengndu J-20, sighed as he and his comrades prepare to engage the enemy of imperial fighters. The Ace Pilot out maneuvered the barrage of fire and fired back at the one enemy fighter until it went tumbling in flames. He then did a U-turn and a barrel roll attack to catch up to the other enemy fighters.
Meanwhile Rai, who is Piloting a F-22 Raptor, is closing in on the Britannian variant of the Russian Sukhoi Su-24 using a technique called the flat scissors. He locked on to the enemy and fired his rocket, it wasn't soon when he saw the boogie blew up.
Rai and Torii were informed that there may be a Super Weapon of some kind from the Empire coming from the north of Kyushu and their squad is instructed to sweep out the fighters before it arrived. He also heard that the Avon is heading towards the east but apparently the Bianca Alliance has got that covered in dealing with them.
This very much is a bad Idea. Rai is not sure if they can get a second chance with this if it is the same Weapon that destroyed the second fleet.
"Reapers Emblems approaching to your positions! Prepare engage!"
Rai and Torii complied with the order.
Ikaruga Submarine, underwater furthest east of Kyushu
The core members of the Black Knights enjoyed their diner served by the new top expert chief from Singapore. Inoue couldn't contain her laughter as she listened to Tamaki explanation about his spending habits and why he lost to a card game by little children at the Shinjuku ghetto.
"That's some story," Ohgi remarked. Tamaki frowned, "God dang it, I knew it you would say that! Those kids ran away with 100 pounds worth of my money."
"One hundred pounds worth?" The former teacher raised his brow with his arms cross.
Tamaki, "Okay, Okay! It was 230 pounds!" he raised his hands up. Sugiyama burst out laughing, "Again? no wonder Zero wouldn't put you in charge of money." He whipped a tear using a napkin from his eyes.
"Hey, shut up. I just had a bad string of luck that's all, it'll go away!" Tamaki pound his fist on the table, "Besides those brats are vicious."
"Yea, sure," Sugiyama rolled his eyes as he smirked. Ohgi sighed, "Well it could have been worse."
"Worse? How could it be… Oh please don't jinx it," Tamaki whined, "The last thing I want to think about is Nimga-chan."
Ohgi, Inoue and Sugiyama's eyes were wide. Tamaki face became clueless, "What?" then he realized and raised his hands once more, "Okay back up; Its not what it looks like okay? I'm not jealous that girl turning out to be pro at street gambling!"
Inoue smiled, "So it was Nigma-chan all along that was able to walk away with 230 pound sterlings."
Tamaki facepalmed, "Find! It was Nigma. She came over to our old hideout asked me if I give her money so that she can bring those kids in the street to the movies." He said promptly, "I, of course, since I'm a conservative spender I simply refused, and besides she probably loaded thinks to her uncle! But she and those dump kids won't leave me alone, so I offered her a bet and… well… you know how the story goes, but I'll point out that I did watch them this whole time at the movies!"
Inoue sighed, "Tamaki…" her brows frowned.
"Oh, come on, she didn't blow our cover which is something I could rarely say good things about the twerp."
"Um, that's not what I meet," The blue haired female core member of the Black Knights pointed her finger at something else on the table. Ohgi and Sugiyama shifted focus on a random white cat with a red jewel on its forehead, eating sushi out of Tamaki's lunch tray.
Tamaki slowly looked down, his admeteated reaction to a small free loader, "WHAT THE—" he shouted as he jumped and fell off his seat and thumped his head on the floor. People other than his comrades notice his outburst as well as the white cat that eating off his tray.
Ohgi scratch the back of his head and chuckled nervously, "Well at least it's not a black cat…" Sugiyama had the incentive to hold back his laughter at Ohgi's comment.
Inoue, "Awe it looks so cute~" Tamaki got back up from his seat, "What the heck is a cat doing here of all places, eating my lunch!?"
"Ah, there you are Mittens," C.C walked up to where Ohgi, Inoue, and Sugiyama were sitting while Tamaki standing up and shouting.
"Oh, is this your cat, Mrs. C.C?" Inoue asked with a smile to Zero's mistress. "What?" Tamaki said flatly, "Are you kidding me?" he shot a glare at the green haired female who like to do nothing all day.
C.C simply shrugged, "I don't know what you're talking about. She's not my Cat, I don't even like cats. They scratch, they bite, and they chew on furniture. This one has been following me around, acting all high and mighty and now I'm stuck with her." She flung her green hair, "But ocuntaly I gave her food, left over pizza crust actually and a dead rat, though she refused to eat what I give her."
"Yeah, right I don't buy it!" Tamaki pointed an accusing finger at C.C, "This is definitely your cat."
"Oh no, you caught me red handed," C.C said sarcastically, she is surprised how stupid Tamaki is right now.
Tamaki was about to say something until he notice that C.C's Cat is still eating his food, "HEY!" he tried grab the tray from the cat. The cat in return snaped back at him, with one paw and a hiss.
"What the-!" Tamaki jumped, "Dud, did you see that, I almost got scratched by that darn thing!"
"Well, you shouldn't have scared her," Ohgi pointed out. The White Cat started licking her paw.
Tamaki, "Whatever man I'm going to get a new tray. Hopefully I don't see that darn cat when I get back," He waved off the cat as he went to the kitchen.
The White Cat then stretched and walked up to her green haired companion. C.C rolled her eyes as she picks up the cat and held her in her arms.
Inoue cough in one hand, "So how long do you and Mittens know each other?"
"Too long," C.C said simply and was about to take off until— "Wait," Inoue exclaimed, as she stood up from her seat with a handkerchief from her pocket as she walked up to C.C and her cat. The core member whipped off the sushi from the cat's cheeks with a smile from her face.
"There all done," Inoue chirped, "I'm also a cat person by the way!" Ohgi and Sugiyama shook their heads. "Thanks… I guess," C.C said.
Meanwhile at the main table of the Dining Hall Zero has an expected guests come abord the Ikaruga: General Nogoshi Nagasaki of the Japanese Liberation Front, Deputy Foreign Minister Dania Eilister of the Australian Kingdom and Agent Yun Ping of the Chinese Intelligence committee. Kallen, Rakshata and Diethard sat alongside Zero while he spoke to the General.
The Flat screen TV display showed a live feed of the air battle in Kyushu's skies, and it appeared that the JLF air force have been clashing with Cornelia's Ace pilots, but it appeared one of the fighters is faring well with the enemy ace pilots. Apparently one fight, known as Torii, had built a fast reputation in the air force after destroying many of the Britannian Air Force Fighters then anyone, with Rai coming second.
"I see that your reputation perceives you well," Zero remarked. The aged Japanese General laughed, "Why thank you sir, and I must say again it is an honor to meet with you, your excellency."
Zero simply nodded. C.C sat beside Deithard while Zero and Nogoshi spoke.
"I must confess though I wasn't here to discuss tactics. I came here to talk to you about the Empress in waiting. Regrettably the Shogunate have all but rejected the date of the coronation as it was too soon, so I was hoping—"
"Wait," Kallen spoke up, "Kyushu is under attack again and your worried about that?"
Nogoghi caught in on hand, "I have full faith in my men as well as the Holy Swords and the Bianca alliance. I can assure you, young lady, they will fend off the imperialist soon."
"It fine Kallen," Zero raised his hand, "Based on my understanding of the situation it is unlikely that Cornelia's forces will reconquer Kyushu. All we can reasonably do is pray for owe troops."
Kallen sighed but understand what Zero is coming from. She just not sure she can completely trust him yet. After all, Nogoshi Nagasaki was part of the Chinese Puppet cabinet before Zero turn them all over.
"On the topic of the Shogunate; you are hoping I resolve some dispute of your fellows?" Nogoshi eyes widen.
Lelouch smirked under his mask, "I think it is pretty obvious that your apart of the Shogunate, advocating for the resurrection of the Japanese imperial thrown and to do that you must sever all ties to external forces to get to that goal."
Nogoshi chuckled nervously, "Sharp as a tick I see. Yes, you are correct; I am a member of the Shogunate and it's true that I severed my ties with Sawasaki and friends. He never had Japan at heart," He whipped the sweat using a handkerchief on his forehead.
Kallen was surprised as well.
"You were good friends with him according to reports," Diethard said.
The General scoffed, "Unfortunately that's no longer the case. My only purpose now is to serve the Sumeragi bloodline and lead it to glory in times of strife. I can say at the very least that we the Shogunate had agreed that restoring the imperial thrown is tantamount to restoring our nation."
Deputy Foreign Minister Dania weighed in, "I don't mean to interrupt but I believe liberating a country from the rule of Britannia comes first before you people consider the coronation date."
"Right, I almost forgot your here," the General cast a glare at the Aussie official.
"Anyway, Master Zero once you set up your government in Japan we will open a diplomatic channel for you as well," Deputy Foreign Minister Dania said as she turned her attention to Zero and handed the documents to him, which he passed it to Diethard for evaluation, "All the legal presiding is here once Lady Kaguya ascend to the throne, we will build economic ties to her country."
The General rolled his eyes, "I wonder what kind of excuse your government will give to the Brittanian's…" Dania gave a stern look, "We are a neutral Independent kingdom state and an ally to the EU." The short haired blond female diplomat pointed out.
"I can't thank you enough for doing this Madam," Diethartd said proudly. Dania, "We didn't have any chose; the Holy Empire has been privately less ambiguous about the health of our bilateral relations."
"Really? How so," Zero asked.
"Prime Minister Schneizel, as savvy and charming in international affairs, has taken on the path of coercion ever since they established Area 11. It is a typical trait of the Empires foreign policy when it comes to smaller countries before they decided to move in and establish it into a colony. However, given that we are a bigger country with neutral status we believe their action has become unacceptable for our kingdom to bare the economic brunt."
"I see, so you do need us," the Leader of the Black Knights concluded. He had expected it from the emperor, coercion before invasion of a country, it is basically a standard, but the unpredictability of Charles Zi Britannia had made it difficult for foreign leaders to navigate.
It's also the place that Euphemia has visited during the diplomatic mission if he recalled six months ago.
Dania nodded, "To put it bluntly yes but only as diplomatic leveraged against the Empire."
On the Live feed on the flat screen there is an intense dog-fighting in the air at the north of Kyushu which the Chinese agent took note. He coughed in one hand and handed to the schematics to Rakshata.
Chants of enthusiasm started to pick up the Dining Hall started to pick up as they watch the live feed screen of the air battle.
"Well, well, well," Rakshata said as she turned her attention to the screen.
"I see that you are impressed with our boys," Nogoshi said in a toothy grin.
"Not really," The Indian woman brushed off, "But they do seem have the right skills," Rakshata commented as she blew her cigarette with a smirk, "Hopefully they survive long enough before the Brittanian Air Force show their big guns. Your people have underestimated them several times after all."
The General frowned at the Foreigner, "The winds haven't always been on our backs, but it is now."
"And soon the descendant of sun god will take her rightful place as empress of the land of the rising sun," Yun Ping added.
"Ah, that is also true," Nogoshi laughed as he pat the back of his Chinese liaison.
Zero, "So how is Lady Kaguya faring during the air raid?"
"Her will is unparallel and she has the protection of the Japanese Imperial guard and two of the skillful Knightmare Frame Pilots of the Bianca Alliance."
"That's wonderful to here," Zero, in the back of his mine, shuddered at the thought of Nunnally gossiping with the Japanese Crown Princess as future sister in laws. He recalled the time when Kaguya and Nunnally had bonded when they were little so he is certen he can trust her with his identity. She is more than likely to be an obnoxious fangirl, for what he learned from Ohgi and Kallen.
Meanwhile at the east of Kyushu.
Silvia's Aerial Knightmare Frame, code name Starla, resembles a Dame but wields a weapon that resembles a scythe of the Grim Reaper. To say that she has vast experience is an understatement but having a mentor like Richter she has learn a hundred ways to kill like no other. On her screen she spotted a couple of warships firing their cannons and missiles at Starla. With a smirk on her lips she skillfully staired her Knightmare Frame to avoid the fire.
Starla dance around the missiles and the cannon fire. Starla dived down to the sea level and begin to strafe around the fleet of enemy ships.
"Cornelia's flagship just left the combat zone."
"Awe, Nelly sticks. She really doesn't want to play with me anymore," the Killer Harlot scoffed, "Maybe I should go see her."
"Focus, do not get carried away or you will be hearing from me!"
"Yes, Lord Richter," Silvia rolled her eyes, diled in the buttons on the right side of controls with its Starla's power core start to power up.
Britannian Naval Ships started to rain fire at Starla but like before it danced around to the line of fire. The sailors started to see the Knightmare's center core started to glow and in a panic that started to abandoned ship.
As Starla charged towards the three warships, from the west, its pilot begins to laugh and vanished in a violet electro charge for at least five seconds, electro charges erupted through the tree ships, then Starla appeared from the east position. Dramatic slashes of electromatic charges ripped through the hulls of the warships until it triggered multiple violet explosions.
"Huh, this is Killer Harlot multiple emery's sunk," Silvia said through the com-link, "So, Lord Richter can I play with Princess Cornelia? She may be out of the combat area but I don't think she that far for me to grab her."
"Negative, do not deviant from your current objective, Slivia."
The Killer Harlot huffed, "Yes, my lord."
Imperial Flash Ship
There was silence among the crew of the Victoria.
Princess Cornelia could not believe what she just heard. On one hand, she felt a weight has been lifted, but on the other hand angry at her brother that he kept it from her. Why did he tell her now in a time and place like this!? Her little sister Euphemia was the most important person in her life and the only family she had left in this world.
The Violet haired woman slump on her throne while her Knight of Honor Gilbert shock but tried his level best to maintain his composter.
"Sister please," Euphimea's calm soothing voice could be heard in the main deck, "I'm begging you."
Back in the Action in the skies of Kyushu
The J-20 ace pilot used flars all awhile avoiding the missile fire from one of the Reapers Emblems, using barrow roll and a corkscrew at high speeds.
Torii then was able to be on the enemy's tail, and fired when in rang of the bullets. The Reapers Emblem tried to avoid the enemy fire but got hit by the tail casing a fire. The female Reapers Emblem curse under her breath, being the most disaplin of the squad and serving under squad leader Sir John Hamilton, how did she have been so carless? She already suspect it to be the same pilot that took down Thomas's plane and was determined to make an example of the eleven pilot.
"This is Dame Miranda, I've been hit!"
"Don't worry about it, I just received word from her Royal Highness that we'll be pulling out and returning to the Aigaion," said John through the line.
"Wha- Y-Yes, my lord," Miranda said in defeat.
"Looks like the Brittanian fighters is backing off," said a JLF AWACS command.
"So... mission accomplish," said one of the JLF Pilots who flew beside Torii as a wingman.
"Seem like it... wait, were detecting something huge entering the combat zone on our radar!"
P-1112 Aigaion
Six of the remaining Squadron landed safely inside the hanger bay of. So far they have lost only four of their conscripts by the hands of the eleven pilots, none the lest they have a job to do.
"This is John Hamilton, me and my team has just landed."
"Yes, we can see behind the glass."
The Commander of the Aigaion hand up the phone. Nina took a deep breath as she stood in attention from behind the commander. She was very nervous that it might not work- No it has to work it's been tested before, so it has to work and if not she might lose her job. Although the project for the Aigaion is small potatoes, compared to her own project this is ultimately a testament to her prowess as a weapons designer. Perhaps she should be grateful to Lloyd for helping her with this-
"Perpare to lunch the Nimbus Cruse Missiles," The Commander said aloud for anyone to hear.
Nina jumped out of her thoughts as she looked around, but then remembered that Lloyd isn't here. She took another big breath as the Commander give her a glacé before basically telling her that the Nimbus Cruise Missiles better work as attended.
Nina in response saluted to the officer in question, even though she's not part of the military just a partner of Mr. Lloyd. She wore a white sleeved turtleneck dress that cover her legs, and dress shoes, not fit for battle.
Four to Five Curse Missiles lunched from the Aigaion.
"Incoming Missiles, coming from the mother ship!" As the Missiles curse to 1,200 feet in the air until it reach the JLF Jet Fighters, all five of the curse missiles suddenly detonated causing multiple violet huge explosions, simpler to a MOB, but this is causing an air-ripple outside the effected area which Torii and Rai was safe away form.
"We lost most of are fighters! Torii, Rei, everyone, avoid the blast!"
Rai gretted his teeth, "This is crazy!"
"More Missiles incoming, climb above 1,500 feet to avoid the blast!" Rai curses under his breath, "Come on, we got to climb up!"
Torii, Rai and the others climb up to 1,500 feet.
"Detonation in 3... 2... 1... Detonate!"
Torii ship stated to shake like it was in an earthquake, it felt more intense than that last time, there was a warning sigh in the cockpit screen, which it means the ripple has damage something internally, he assumes.
"We lost some of our men from the secant attack... the mother ship is leaving the combat area. Hopefully this is the last we'll hear from it, but I doubt it... At least our people, incouding the Princess Kaguya is alright, Return to base, everybody."
Torii signed, even he had to admitted he was not expecting this, but then again they're dealing with the Empire, and they tend to have the most powerful weapons at their disposal. Still, that won't deter them from liberating Japan from the Holy Empire.
Rai, "Torii are you okay?" Torii snapped out of his thoughts, "Yea, I'm fine. How are you?"
"Tired," Rai laughed," let's head back I'm beat."
"Roger."
Skyline of Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Phnom Penh is Cambodia's economic center as it accounts for a large portion of the Cambodian economy. Double-digit economic growth rates in recent years have triggered an economic boom in Phnom Penh, with new hotels, restaurants, schools, bars, high rises and residential buildings springing up in the city. Cambodia's busy capital, sits at the junction of the Mekong and Tonlé Sap rivers. On its walkable riverfront, lined with parks, restaurants and bars, are the ornate Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and the National Museum, displaying artifacts from around the country. At the city's heart is the massive, art deco Central Market.
Britannian Embassy
Dining Room
Princess Euphemia Li Britannia looked on the window, watching the clear night sky as she places her hand on the glass. The maids had just groomed her to look like the perfect monarch of the Holy Empire of Britannia, the symbol of beauty, radiance and grace. Her older brother Schneizel's men had found her at the cave of Kannmie island unconscious and brought her to Cambodia for a mental and physical test, which she pass with flying colors.
She wore the usual pink and white dress with a rose choker, her pink hair that reached below her waist. It is usually styled downwards with two buns on each side of her head while she has curly bangs hanging on the right side of her face. Indeed the maids had did an impeccable job but its to be expected after she has been dissapeard for a while.
The Pink-haired Princess sighed as her sad bluish-violet eyes looked on to the skyline of the capital city, she can't even recall how long she has been gone, but it felt like a decade since she's been back from the world of C with her new gift.
"Cornelia's forces has withdrawn from the combat zone," Schneizel smiled at his little sister as he hung up the phone, "Kinda surprising to say the least but then again she away listens to you."
Euphemia did not say a word.
The Prime Minister, "I understand you been through a lot through what ever ordeal but its best not to lose heart-"
"I haven't lost it," The Princess turn around to face her brother with calmness and determination, "I've learn from it."
"Good to know," Schneizel smirked, "That's the kind of quality we need from a Sub-Viceroy; streath and wisdom."
"How do you know about strength and wisdom?" Euphemia thought before speaking, "About the human coast of that battle? If you don't mind me saying."
"Our forces had sustain heavy damage from the sea's and the Reapers Emblem have taken few hits but was victorious in the end. The JLF on the other hand have taken more loses from the skies from our Aigaion's Nimbus Cruse Missiles."
Euphemia blinked in surprise, this the first time she heard about that the Aigaion was used for this battle, "You didn't say anything about the Aigaion being used for battle."
"His Majesty has authorized the use of the use of Britannia's most advance ariel cruse ships in Area 11, shortly after you disappeared. Therefore Cornelia had activated the full might of the Reapers Emblem."
This shouldn't of shocked her since given how Cornelia away has special authorization for new weapons. Cornelia denied it use of course but she's been through a lot of battles and havens knows what she and her forces had done over the years. But the Aigaion brought back fresh memory's of its first use during a campaign against Siberia, It happen the day after she completed her diplomatic mission in Moscow.
Euphemia was about to say something before the ambassador walked in with a bow to the Royals.
"My Lord the Prime Minister of Cambodia has arrived," The Britannian Ambassador said. Schneizel turn his attention to the Noblemen with a nod and smile, "Ah, good. Then that means we can wrap this up pretty quickly."
The Prime Minister then turn to his little sister, "If you excuse me Princess, I must speak with his excellency about important matters before we invite him to dinner."
"I understand brother," The Pink Haired Princess lance her fingers together. Schneizel made a reassuring expression to her while leaving with the Ambassador.
After the door was shut, Euphemia collapsed on her knees as she tightly folded her arms and wept. How is it that her ambitions only lead to suffering and sadness of others and tearing apart the people she loved most: Lelouch and Nunnally, her true family. She doesn't know if her ordeal is a blessing or curse, but she did know in her heart she wanted to protect them and to be with them no matter what. This power she possessed is the Power to see through time, or rather the power to see through the 'original timeline'.
"Lulu..." Euphemia choked thinking about the Zero Requiem, she didn't want Lelouch to sacrifice himself because of her, "It was never your fault Lulu never...! Come back to us... come back to me!"
