A/N: Here is lucky chapter 17, hope you enjoy. Though I should add that they are minor suggestive themes in this chapter. But overall, this is a good start for the main paring (lulu x euphie).

Kyushu Fort Complex, Kyushu, Area 11 (Japan), Holy Empire of Britannia 9:15 AM

Master Bedroom

The ballroom was large and elegant. The morning sun shone through the glass ceilings, enhancing their appearance with a fusion of lilac, yellow, and orange hues. The walls and pillars were made of pink marble with a small amount of white glitter.

Lelouch engaged in dancing with Euphemia on the dance floor. For him, balls were not a preferred activity; however, he was not a poor dancer.

Thanks, largely to Euphemia and his late mother when he was younger.

He couldn't take his eyes off her beautiful, bright eyes. Her smile conveys optimism, tranquility, and affection.

Her voice whispered in a smooth tone, "You promised Nunnally that you would build a kind and genital world."

"How did you know that?" The girl in pink curls giggled,

"You told me silly."

"Right... I did say that on that island."

"Together with you, me, and Nunnally, I would like for us to live in that world."

"Euphie."

"Say that you will stay with me and Nunnally when the time comes. For us, you are the most important thing in this world." They stop. When Euphemia reached for his face, her face turned sad.

When Euphie touched his cheeks, Lelouch felt his heart race. Her gaze was aimed at his, gazing intently into his soul.

"Promise me..." When she was about to kiss him, she closed her eyes. His body froze, and his heart raced. Her lips slowly moved to meet his.

...

He woke up from his sleep and got up from the couch. Lelouch looked to his right to see his immortal green-haired companion along sitting on his bed, holding on to her Cheese-Kun.

Wait, where are-

"The Crown Princess and her twin guards just left," C.C spoke up, not looking away from the TV.

The Raven Haired teen scoffed, "You seem well rested with them."

"I slept like a baby. As for Kaguya, Ram and Sam, they're performing their morning rituals. They won't be back for an honor or so."

"Shouldn't they be back in their rooms? You know what, whatever."

"They don't seem to be much of a bother," The Code Bearer turned to face the Mortal boy, "Those twins. They seem to have the same eyes you have."

"Implying that I'm related to those little twin girls, nice," He said with a sarcastic tone, "Could you offer an explanation behind that idea?"

"No funny bone during the morning, I guess."

"I just woke up from a four-to-five-hour nap. I am not in a mood for this."

"Sure," C.C got up and placed Cheese-Kun neatly on his bed, "Anyway, Kaguya kissed you while you were sleeping before she left with those twins."

"On the cheek?"

"No, she just blew you, a kiss," she replied.

"Already she's treating me like I'm her husband," Lelouch simply shrugged.

"And also, Princess Euphemia has just arrived at the Viceroy Palace, so I guess that means the JLF's Trump Card no longer applies."

Lelouch made a chuckle, "At lest that means Cornelia wouldn't be thinking about a counter-attack now that Euphie is here."

"Which remanded me words is from Diethard that Princess Marrybell just landed at the Viceroy Palace."

"Of course," said Lelouch, "because she's patting herself on the back for her outstanding performance in Spain, she could do so again here if she wanted to. But knowing her, I think Marrybell won't do anything to hurt her new-found fame."

"So you're saying the 'Hero Princess' is just making her family visit? I think you might underestimate her."

He rolled his eyes, "If she's crazy enough, let her try. I look forward to a challenge."

He then heard his cellphone ring from his pocket.

The caller ID, had Milly's name on it.

Interesting.

...

KMF Hanger

Rakshata, top R&D weapons designer of the Black Knights, was inspecting the Beowulf. Richter, Bianca's Knight and Pilot of the Beowulf, stood beside the top Researcher with his hands behind his back, waiting patiently for whatever assessment she had in mind. He was called by Rakshata to exchanged views of the Knightmere Frame Designs and weapons capabilities.

"Hmmm... an impressive feat I must say," She said as she looked up at the towering KMF, "My complements to your engineers."

"Much appreciated, madam," Richter nodded, "Most of its tech originated from Merlin's Gate."

"I can tell," Rakshata blew her cigarette and made a smirk, "Must have been quite costly to acquire such Imperial tech from leakers."

"Indeed," Richter said, "But it is worth it for Lady Bianca."

"She's that special, is she?"

"Bianca is basically our god."

"Cult ideology. Fascinating," Rakshata laughed, "On that topic, there has been a conspiracy theory about Britannia acquiring most of the advance ancient technology."

"Some conspiracy theorists believe that's how the Empire's Military has become far more advance than the rest of the world," Richter remarked, That and the Emperor's secret cult, called the Gease Order.

"Ah, yes, Merlin's Gate is one of the few of the epic centers for Britannia's Military Research and Development. It's nothing to write home about." Rakshata can think of numerous things she learned about Britannia's 'ultimate weapons', aside from the KMFs, such as the First Class Aerial Navel Fleet, the Nimbus Air-Burst Cruse Missiles and the much hyped ADF-01 FALKEN.

Bianca's Knight cough in one hand, "Some people think the Holy Empire has discovered the secrets of real intelligence that have existed since the beginning of time and were given to by the heavens. For example, they have massive ground-based anti-asteroid rail guns, such as the Stonehenge and the Chandelier."

"The Mighty Cannons of God," Rakashata mused, "I wonder if the Empire turned that into a weapon as well."

"Stonehenge and Chandelier are designed to destroy near earth asteroids. Plus, they are not meant for war for what I hear," Ohgi mused in the background.

Rakshata and Richter turned their attention to one of the core members of the Black Knights.

"Oh, it's you," Rakshata rolled her eyes, "I suppose you come to join the conversation?"

"Huh? Oh, I'm just prancing around and just happened to overhear the conversation," Ohgi said as he scratched the back of his head and approached the two.

Richter, "Some people might assume that you may be ease dropping but that just my opinion," He adjusted his sunglasses.

"Yea, I own that one," Ohgi laughed. The last encounters he had with the Beowulf pilot were friendly, much like his interactions with other Europeans. This is normal because the teacher who used to teach will become the Prime Minister. However, the pilot often asks hardball questions about his understanding of Japanese history and culture or the time he misspoke about the woman he allowed to live in his apartment.

Ohgi was thankfully that Richter didn't press further on the question, as he feels that either Bianca's Knight is highly skilled in interrogation or that he doesn't trust him. It's best not to dwell on it, but he has always wondered if it was the right thing to do by keeping her in his care.

"Well, since you are here, what is your hot take on the Holy Britannian Empire's ground based Rail-guns?" Rakshata inquired.

"I don't know much," Ohgi admitted, "It has been all over the news before the secant Pacific War. I'm a nerd in this sort of things..." he laughed heartily.

"Interesting that you used a teacher," Rakshata rolled her eyes.

*Bing

Attention, everybody, head to the conference hall! By order of her royal Highness Princess Kaguya!

Richter grinned as he straightened his tie, "Right on cue. Madam, Gentlemen, If you allow me to escort you to the conference?"

"You mean it is about the Sub-Viceroy," Ohgi said in surprise.

"Who else?" Rakshata and turned her attention to Richter, "Lead the way, handsome."

He nodded and gestured to Ohgi and Rakshata to follow him.

Viceroy's Palace, Tokyo Settlement, Area 11(Japan), Holy Empire of Britannia 10:15 AM

The sounds of snapshots as the hall was filled with Britannian nobles, including one Lloyd Asplund and Nina Einstein, as Euphemia entered with Cornelia, Marrybell, Schnelzel, General Dalton and Sir Guilford trailing. Oldrin and Orpheus were absent but in the background managing security for the ceremony

Similarly, Rio Salvo stood next to the double doors that are the entrance to the hall. After presenting her findings to Lord Bismarck via video link, the fifteen-year-old brunette was a bit jittery, as there wasn't much to think about. This was the first time she had the opportunity to meet Princess Euphemia in this way. She had to self-assess before ascertaining that this was not a dream, and undoubtedly, it was not. The Brazilian girl had to admit, of her applying for the role, but she doubted that she would actually get it, let alone Lady Euphemia actually remembering her.

The fact that a royal Princess saved her life and was very kind to her was the reason for joining the Imperial Military. She blocked the images of her Father's tombstone, trying not to get distracted or embarrassed to herself and Euphemia.

One of the imperial guards, approached the young female Knight, "It's time… get ready." Seeing that the honorary Britannian nodded to him, he returned to his position.

After taking a deep breath and using both hands to tap her cheeks, with a bright expression, "Okay, here I go."

Euphemia ascended the stage, Cornelia, Marrybell, Schnelzel, General Dalton and Sir Guilford taking a position behind her.

There are mutters about the Honorary Britannian's abilities among the nobles.

"Isn't she a Six?" Somebody in the audience whispered.

"She was Lord Windberg's squire," the Observer replied.

"Hard to believe she played a role in helping our Hero Princess win the day against our enemies. I feel violated."

"Don't speak in the presence of Lady Marrybell," the other hissed.

The hall quieted as Rio Salvo entered. She approached Euphemia and kneeled.

"Rio Salvo, will thou upon this day pledge thy fidelity to Britannia, and stand as a Knight of the Crown?"

"Yes, your highness," The Knight of Seven said swiftly.

"Does thou wish to abandon thy self, and be sword and shield for the sake of the greater good?"

"Yes, your highness."

Rio drew her blade and presented it Euphemia, who took up the blade and ceremonially touched her on each shoulder with its tip.

"I, Euphemia Li Britannia, Do hereby dub thee Dame Rio Salvo, and in you I seek the virtues of Honesty, Loyalty, Decorum, and Devotion and as such uphold these wherever you go"

The Third Princess presented the Brazilian Knight with her blade, which she humbly took and sheathed. Princess Euphemia gestured for to stand, which the young Knight did before turning around to face the hall. After a moment, applause broke out.

"At least I didn't have to start it this time." Lloyd said to himself as he applauded. "It's only because Princess Marrybell is here." Nina couldn't help but point that out as she applauded as well.

"That and her record is spotless," Lloyd said, "Which sadly can't say the same about our dear friend."

Kyushu Fort Complex, Kyushu, Area 11(Japan), Holy Empire of Britannia 10:17 AM

Conference Room

Apart from two government officials from Australia and China, every core member of the Black Knights, the Bianca Alliance and the JLF have attended the conference room to watch the broadcast from the projector screen. The Knighting Ceremony by Princess Euphemia has concluded.

Ohgi was the first to sigh, "So it's official… they brought someone from the Knights of the Rounds."

"And not only that, it's someone with Brazilian heritage," Kyoshiro Tohdoh concluded.

"Do you think it's part of the Imperialist's plans?" Chiba asked.

Zero crossed his arms as he's deep in thought as his comrades discussed things about the Knighting Ceremony.

"Unlikely," Diethard dismissed it outright, "the third Princess lacks any understanding nor knowledge of their Military Strategy, plus there is the matter of her maturity. As for the young Knight of Seven, Dame Rio, I do need additional information about the Knightmare Frame that this Rounds Member is piloting. Apparently, it is based on the Lancelot model."

"It is," Richter spoke up, "It's a Lancelot Trail Series made by Camelot."

"I think we need more information than that," Shogo Asahina said.

"Well, that's the available information that we, the Bianca Alliance, have provided. Rio Salvo was Princess Marrybell's subordinate."

Australian Deputy Foreign Minister Dania Eilister coughed in one hand, "If I may add that Lady Marrybell has gained the favor of Prince Schneizel for that reason, she has access to high-tech Knightmare technology for her war efforts and that Rio Salvo was meant to be her subordinate."

Shogo Asahina sighed, "Okay then, so it looks like we have to deal with a Round."

"Except that the Young Knight of Seven is also now the head knight of Princess Euphemia," Richter said sharply as he crossed his arms. "Personally, I don't believe that the Knight of Seven is any concern for us. Princess Marrybell's presence here in Japan, on the other hand, is a concern. She has recently been hailed as the Hero Princess, a potential direct heir to the throne.

Of course, it's just my opinion and does not reflect the thinking of my mistress."

Zero was deep in thought as he was listening to the discussion between comrades. For him, Marrybell's visit does not concern him all that much; that said, he might have to intend to lure her to him, mostly to get additional information on his mother's death. But it's not going to be easy. He's not as close to Marrybell as he doesn't know the experience the 88th Princess has gained over the years, even though they're always friendly. Marrybell possesses a solid education in world history and enjoys engaging in discussions with him regarding proper manners. However, their interactions are conducted on a friendly basis, similar to those of her other half siblings, Cornelia, Schneizel, and Clovis. He posits that Marrybell's initial attribution of the deaths of her mother and sister to Charles would lead to resentment towards him. But based on the press information, there is no sign that she still has a grudge against the Emperor.

Which now leads to the present day: how to counter whatever plans Cornelia and Marrybell could cook up with their next move. Marrybell became a lot more powerful as a warlord, the last time he had seen her at Pendragon. Zero finds Marrybell's irony amusing, as she resembles him in personality, but she's also capable of delivering threats like 'off with their heads' to those she targets.

He also read somewhere in the military academy records that Marrybell was able to sprint around a lap ten times without getting tired, and that she was proficient at using firearms. Also knows how to use a sword, a KMF, and fight in close-quarters combat. Therefore, she could be more dangerous than Suzaku, if Zero ever comes near her and without his gun. Although Marrybell is young and beautiful, she has impressive skills and stamina; fortunately, the Hero Princess doesn't have the power of kings or Geass nor the abilities to protect herself from his for that matter.

The amusement ceased when he contemplated Euphie. What role would she be expected to assume now that she has gained knowledge of his secret? As his comrades pointed out, Euphie has chosen Charles and Marrybell's subordinate as her Knight of Honor, who is from Area 6. A portion of him desires to converse with Euphie regarding this matter; however, it would be prudent for him to view the conflict as a series of chess pieces and refrain from underestimating his adversary.

"But still Euphie."

Mission 04: Bomber Raid: ~New Arsenal~

JLF Briefing Room

Loading…

"Thank you all for joining the briefing, fellow pilots. The conference of the leadership has concluded. And with it, the approval of the royal seal of Crown Princess Kaguya for our next mission."

The computer screen showed a map of Okinawa and narrowed it to the five hangers where more B-52 and B-1 bombers are housed.

"Our superiors have reason to believe that the enemy is planning another bombing raid. Cornelia and Marrybell are planning once again to cripple our ground forces using bombers from Okinawa."

The computer screen showed a screen of the Xian H-6k, a twin-engine jet bomber of the Chinese Aerospace Naval Force. The H-6k is a license-built version of the Russian Tupolev Tu-16 and remains the primary bomber aircraft of the Chinese Federation. Then switch to a pitcher of a H-6k in the Hanger areas of the Kyushu main base, painted with the color scheme of the Japanese Military.

"We have three of the five available bombers from our Chinese Partners. Kei Nagase you and your squad are tasked with destroying the hangers, while our bomber support will be on standby via your orders. You are welcome to bring our top ace pilots, such as Torii and Rei."

The image then switches to an emblem of a cartoonish vicious red dog with a spike collar chewing on its changes and two white stars.

"Hm? New reports from our Australian friend about a mysterious mercenary squadron joining in on the action. Apparently, they are the same mercenaries that attacked the Aigaion Fleet. We don't know their intentions yet, but be on your guard during this mission. Dismiss and Good Luck!"

Viceroy's Palace, Tokyo Settlement, Area 11 (Japan), Holy Empire of Britannia, 11:57 AM

The Round Table

"JLF H-6k bombers have taken off along with their fighter escort," an officer of the Imperial Britannian Military has informed the Royals.

The Goddess of Victory, the Hero Princess, Euphemia and Schneziel sat at the large round table. Their knights, Guilford, Dalton, Oldrin, Orpheus, and Rio, stood in attention behind next to their masters. A few of their aids sit back as they too listen in on the discussion.

"Good," Cornelia said, turning her attention to her little sister, Marrybell. "It looks like you are right; they have more aerial weapons than we expected."

"It was a guess on my part," the Hero Princess explains with a nod to her older sister. "Sending a signal to our air bomber base was enough to provoke our enemies. Now that we know that the JLF have the Chinese-built H-6k in their arsenal."

Euphemia watches quietly as she listens to her siblings talk about battle plans. What was striking in this timeline is that the Japanese Liberation Front, or the JLF for short, hasn't really gone away and is apparently under new leadership. The last time she heard about the JLF was when Cornelia talked to her about the raid in the harbor. The old leadership apparently died and with the collapse of the military resistance group, or so she heard. Of course, the one that Cornelia and Marry are dealing with now is a 'remnant' of the Japanese resistance but has more 'radical native royalist elements' and is more dependent on external lethal aid and material, mostly coming from the Chinese Federation.

At first, the Pinknette Princess dreads the idea surrounding the two words radical elements, as it implies that the JLF will be willing once more to commit more horrible actions, like with the hotel. But she can't imagine them doing that again, not when Zero is around and besides the point, as it turns out, the new leadership wants to restore Japan's right as a kingdom, making someone from the Kyoto Houses as Empress of the new nation. Which the said person has the ultimate say on any action taken by the new JLF, hence why they are called royalist. There is no doubt that Japan's heir is Kaguya Sumeragi, Suzaku's cousin.

Yes, she remembered quite viably when Suzaku told her about his cousin days before the SAZ Ceremony, that's how Euphemia knew about Kaguya. She is sad to know that she didn't even meet Kaguya before she died in the original timeline. But hopefully, there's a chance.

Euphemia felt sad when thinking about the SAZ: "Lulu... Nunnally... Everyone... I'm so sorry. I swear I'll make things right," she thought.

"Milady, are you feeling alright?" Rio Salvo asked her princess with a worried expression.

The third princess blinked in surprise, it was as if she was on the verge of tearing up. She quickly looked over her left shoulder and faced her new Knight of Honor, the Knight of Seven, Rio Salvo.

"Oh, I'm just daydreaming," the Pinknette princess smiled. The younger girl then awkwardly looked the other way. Euphemia was confused at Rio's reaction, but then she noticed Cornelia, Marrybell and even Schneizel looking at them.

"Euphie is there something you'd like to add?" asks Schneizel.

"I, um," okay, here goes nothing, "I think we should call for a ceasefire."

"A ceasefire?" the Goddess of Victory questioned. The Hero Princess, for her part, was not too keen on that idea either. Oldrin and Orpheus exchanged glances, then turned their attention to the third princess. Rio Salvo was caught off guard as well. The military assistants begin to mutter in the background.

Marrybell sighed, "After we take care of the rebel air force, then we can talk about a ceasefire from a position of strength," she said in a polite tone to her sister.

"But what of the Black Knights?" Euphemia spoke sharply, but her tone matched Marry's, "They can't be negotiated from a 'position of strength'. It would only strengthen their resolve. "

The reddish-pink-haired princess brightly scoffed at her sister, saying, "Maybe you're on to something, but let's wait and see what happens first with their bomber squadron."

"We'll be able to destroy their meager bomber force in one fell swoop if we're lucky," Cornelia said, nodding to Marrybell.

"Sister..."

"I believe it is necessary to hear out Euphie's proposal," Schneizel remarked.

"On the assumption that she will be promoted to a higher position in Europe? If I recall correctly," Cornelia said as she shot him a look.

"Wha—" Euphie said with a surprise look at her older sister, then turned to face her older brother, "What 'higher position in Europe'? Schneizel, what's going on?"

"It's not relevant right now," the prime minister said.

"Well, it is relevant since I am the Sub-Viceroy of Area 11."

"Be at ease, dear sister. Nothing has been decided just yet. I'll explain to you in detail after this meeting is concluded," Schneizel assured his little sister.

Euphie frowned at her older brother as she sat back down. Rio Salvo remained quiet, making a mental note not to speak during any royal meeting again.

Marry felt urged to make a snide remark to Euphie, but she finds it very inappropriate in the presence of her older half-sister. In the end, Marry can only roll her eyes and frown at Euphie.

What is the matter with you? Previously, you didn't like being Viceroy of this land, but now you want to stay. Is it because of your former pet eleven monkey or your interaction with Zero on that island? Probably the latter.

It prompted Marrybell to harbor skepticism toward Euphemia. Her elder brother has provided her with an erroneous explanation, yet she believes that he is merely covering for Euphie.

The clouds slowly began to form into dark gray. Kei Nagase has not joined the last battle with the Imperial Britannian Air Force, as she is currently the only pilot that can use the CFA-44 Alpha Model. She was disappointed at the fact that she had to stay on the sidelines, as she felt she could have made a difference in dealing with the Great Shadow. She is thankful that they have fighters in reserve and many more from their foreign partners, but so many of her comrades are agents of that floating behemoth.

Losses are hard to replace, if not impossible. Nagase looked to her right to view the H-6k from her cockpit. She followed close to the bomber squad as well as her fellow Aces.

For this particular mission, the teams comprised three distinct squadrons: Nagase's War Dog Squadron, comprising seven fighter jets, Junpei's Marko Squadron, comprising five fighter jets, and Torri's Cheetah Squadron, comprising three fighter jets.

"We are approaching Okinawa," said AWACS.

"Good," Nagase said. "Torri, Rai and Maya, you take point. I'll stay with the bomber squadron. Send the signal the moment you spot the air base. I am prepared to assist if necessary."

"Affirmative," replied Torii.

"Wait, just us?" said the female Japanese pilot.

"Yup," Rai said through the line.

"You would think they would send flying KMFs for this mission." Maya scoffed.

"Those KMFs aren't needed for this mission," said the AWACS coordinator. "Cut the chatter; focus on the mission."

"Aye sir," Maya said as she pushed the thrusters forward, catching up to Torii and Rai's plains.

Kadena Air Base is an Air Force base of the Imperial Britannian Army in the towns of Kadena and Chatan and the city of Okinawa, in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. It is often referred to as the "Keystone of the Pacific" because of its highly strategic location. It is located 650 km (400 mi) off the coast of China and at a distance of 770 km (480 mi) from Shanghai, a major economic hub. Furthermore, it is home to the Holy Empire's 18th Wing, the 353rd Special Operations Group, reconnaissance units, the 1st Regional Battalion, the 1st Air Defense Artillery Regiment, and a variety of associated units.

A loud shrill could be heard as the three jet fighters entered its airspace: a J-20, an F-15, and a Sukhoi Su-25.

"Look alive; eight bogies are heading our way. Torii and Rai you two must take care of all aerial threats. Cover for Maya!

Maya, you are to send the signals for our bombers; you are only limited to seven in total. Destroy ground threats if you have to," said high-ranking officer Kei Nagase through the line.

"Copy that, preparing to engage," Torii said.

"Rai, engage."

"Heading down there right now. Wish me luck and give the Brits trouble for me, Rai."

"You do the same, Maya," Rai said.

Their IFF revealed three F-16s, three Apache helicopters, and two MiG-29s. Torii went towards the three Imperial helicopters.

The helicopters started to shoot at the J-20, but they couldn't hit it.

Torii tended to avoid the bullets by rolling to the left and then to the right. Torii fired the missile at the helicopter. The enemy helicopter exploded after the missile struck it. He then did a U-turn, fired another missile at the other Apache helicopter, and destroyed another one.

The last one tried to flee, but Torii chased after it and fired the AA guns at the last enemy Apache helicopter taken out.

"This is Rai I've taken out two enemy fighters."

"That means there are only three left," AWACS said.

"Be on your toes, everyone; we don't know what will happen next," said Nagase.

"Understood."

Torii pursued a lone F-16 while the line of communication was still active. He fired the missile at the enemy bandit after the J-20's systems locked on.

"Splash one!"

Meanwhile, Maya piloted her Su-25 close to ground level, she spotted the hangers where the B-52 bombers were located. Hevey artillery started firing at her plan, like during simulation, she avoided the shelling with relative ease. The female Japanese pilot punched in the signal codes from her left when she was close to the hangers.

"Signal sent!" The Su-25 pilot said as she pulled up.

"Good job, Maya, keep at it," said Nagase, "Okay bomber crew, prepare to lunch the missile!"

"Yes sir!"

"Hopefully, there are no surprises from the Empire," Nagase grimed.

"Commander, we got upcoming bogies!"

"They're Imperial UAV's, of course," Nagase rolled her eyes, as she watches her IFF indicate that they are drones that they are sending to attack, "Maya, Torii and Rei. If you guys are listening, you better hurry and mark those ground targets."

"Yes, Chief Commander, just give me a sec!" Maya said through the line, "Okay, another signal sent!"

"Good, I'll relay it to our bombers, they'll know what to do, inform them of more targets! War Dog Cover for me!"

"Yes, Commander!"

The pilot of the CFA-44 dived and turned right when she saw a drone flying near the sea. The Imperial Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) identified the fighter aircraft, ascended, and was heading towards her. The attack drone fired, but Nagasae avoided the fire and in return fired back. The drone got hit and blew up. The CFA-44 flew into the fire and smoke, and then spun upward, unscathed and victorious.

"How many are there, AWACS?" She asked as she engaged the next Drone.

"We have twelve by the looks of it," said AWACS.

"Twelve, got it."

"I don't think this is Cornelia's style," War Dog Three said while chasing after an attack drone. "It isn't," Nagase grimed, "But don't worry about that now."

They have been told that Britannia's Hero Princess has visited the Viceroy Palace to study the Black Knights, but it turns out that young Firebrand is actually helping Cornelia as well.

A change of heart, or is it part of a study.

"All Hail Britannia!"

Torii was surrounded by three enemy fighter aircraft, but he was able to avoid the missile barrage with flairs and dodge the fire. He then spot the hangers and flew down to 50 m above ground, he then detected what appeared to be an imperial suicide drone. He was surprise to see a suicide drone of all places here, but he decided to use it for his advantage.

A suicide drone, sensing that it's close to the J-20 aircraft, decided to activate its self detonation. But the J-20 picked up speed and did a narrow tilted to the left as he turned left, hitting the right wing of the UAV, causing the drone to lose its course.

The pursuing enemy fighter's reacted and tried to evade, but it was too late as the drone created a powerful exploded in front of them.

"We lost three of our fighters!"

"Darn, piece of crap drone...!"

Based on the enemy chatter, Torii is satisfied with the results.

"Three... two... one. Missile lunch," H-6k bomber leader informed the cheetah squadron.

"Good, time for some mayhem," Maya exclaimed as she dropped the bomb on to a SAM near the runway of the enemy bomber base and flew up and turned right.

Four Minutes latter, eight missiles arrived and slammed into the hangers. Four more missiles arrived and slammed into the watch towers and aircraft, including the bombers.

"All targets hit!"

"Hey, did you mark all those targets?" Rai asked.

"What did you think I was doing? When you were chasing all those bogies!"

"Imperial Drones appear to be coming out of the woodwork."

"Well... They're not part of the objective, and we are not briefed on them arriving."

"Haven't you heard the phrase 'expect the unexpected?'" Rai felt tense at the fact that the Strigon Team hadn't arrived yet, "I think this has something to do with Princess Marrybell being involved."

Before Maya was about to say something, Nagase from the other line chimed in, "Yea, our only intelligence is through the Black Knights, Australia and China. My hunch is that Cornelia must have allowed Marrybell to test the waters for her 'counterterrorism operation'."

"C-Commander, are you saying that they knew that we're coming?" Maya asked stunned.

"That's what I'm saying," Nagase said, "We would have sat this one out if we hadn't known that those bombers would attack Kyushu again."

"Commander, how you and your wingmen are fairing?" Rai asked.

"We have dealt with the Drone problem. I've already sent our H-6k bombers back to base."

"..."

"The important thing that we completed our objective-"

"Hold on, Commander," AWACS said, "We got two giant objects the shape like boomerangs entering the combat area in the Kadena Air Base. It appears to be Brittanian in origin."

Two gray blimps, the shape like boomerangs, were flying on the battlefield. They were powered by four big propellers and used solar energy. Each blimps' underbelly was equipped with twelve attack UAVs.

"This is the Griffith team, We have entered the combat area. Awaiting approval from the Viceroy."

"Message received, and message sent. From Princess Cornelia and Princess Marrybell: dispatch the drones and eliminate the squad leaders.

"This is the Griffin team, messaged received. Lunching the attack UAV's now."

"W-what are those things?!"

"They are a prototype areal drone carriers," AWACS said, "this could be part of a weapons test."

"Weapons Test? Who do they think we are, lab rats?" Maya groaned, "Here we are blowing up their godforsaken bombers, and now they want to do a test on us!?"

"Calm down, this is not the first time they have done this," Rai said as he engaged the imperial UAVs, "The Empire have tested their Nimbus Cruse Missile from their flying Manta ray on us, which is designed to destroy flying objects."

"Ugh, don't remind me," Maya engaged the flying targets.

"We have received an update for your mission, eliminate the Drones and destroy the two blimps," AWACS.

"Copy that," Torii engaged the targeted drones. The attack UAVs fired at J-20, but he skillfully did a barrel roll and fired back, hitting one of the drones that fired. He notices that he is being locked on by one of the drones, he dropped flairs after the enemy missile was coming right at him. The Missile missed its target and blew up. Torii did a quark skew over the attack UAV and is behind the rear of the drone. He was close to firing range and shot it down. He then spots more UAVs coming right at him.

"Why are they coming after Torii?" Rai asked as he shot down a drone. "I don't like it," Maya said worried.

"Need a hand?" said the mysterious voice.

Two new fighter aircraft entered the battlefield, an X-02 Wyvern and a Sukhoi Su-47 Berkut, they both came from the blimps rear and fired their missiles at the airship. The airship's two propellers have been damaged. The two jets fired bullets at the surface of the boomerang shaped blimp, which chase minimal damage as they flew past the airship.

The two fighters dispersed to confront military drones, while the Su-47 launched four miniature rockets from its rocket launcher from its underbelly. All mini rockets hit all four drones in the air. The Wyvern, for its part, shot down two drones with one barraged of fire.

The few drones, that were in the dogfight with Torii, broke off and went after the two new fighters.

"Who are they?" Maya asked, astonished.

"It's the mercenary squadron, Glum Team. They came at a good timing," AWACS said.

"These guys are Ace's," Rai pointed it out. "You mean that's the guys we've been told about during the briefing?"

"Yea, but enough chit-chat, let's help them out," Rai said.

"Right."

General Bartley Aspirus was nervous when everyone in the lab was informed of the Demon Lord arriving at Okinawa and seemly disabled the drone carrier. He sat in his office awaiting anxiously for Princess Cornelia and Princess Marrybell to give the command to retreat, but he understands that it's not going to be possible. Of course, it's not like he wanted them destroyed, on the contrary, they're old prototypes, but they are not cheap and does not like to be sneered by Lloyd of all people.

This is undoubtedly the primary reason for gathering data on these 'ace pilots'. Lady Marrybell will not return to Area 24 empty-handed, and Lady Cornelia will not tolerate it on behalf of her younger sister.

Pleasing his mistresses is the top priority for him.

Lines of code started to pile up on the computer monitor screen as it collects data from the insurgent fighter jets. He watches as that data has been scanned and printed. He stood up from his chair and gathered the papers and placed them neatly into folders.

The first batch of data has been sent to his desk. Bartley wasted no time waiting for the second batch, as he expected to arrive at the war-room with the documentation as soon as possible.

"The second batch should be arriving soon," he told one of his men as he placed the folders into his suitcase, "Gather as much as you can from the data and be on your way."

"Yes, My Lord," the officer said as he did the Imperial salute.

Two Minutes Later

The Glum Team and the Cheetah Team have taken care of all the Attack Drones lunched by the Blimps. Torii barrel rolled and fired at the attack drone. The drone exploded.

"Heathens should be taught not to attack our royal carriage carrying our third princess."

The two boomerang airships moved in.

"Who's that?" Maya asked. "it seems like the head of the occupation forces of Okinawa has taken matters in own his hands," AWACS said, "In that case we must now engage the blimps."

"My bomber squadron should be able to target those ships by using rockets," Nagase said, "See if you can keep them busy, I don't think they're unarmed."

"No need, we should be able to take out those rotors," said Glum two.

"We have enough firepower to take out those targets. Besides, attack those propellers didn't work last time," Rai pointed out.

"Guess we have to disable the guns," replied nonchalant by Glum two. Rai sighed, reminded himself that they were working with mercenaries.

The enemy blimps started firing their guns at the fighter aircraft. Glum One led the charge, dogging the cannon fire from the cannons, Glum locked on the target and firing the rocket, destroying the blimp's cannon. Torii did the same, by dogging the cannon fire and fired the rocket as soon as the J-20 locked on. Another cannon was destroyed.

Small drones, the size of lamps, emerged out of the blimps to form a protective line around the blimps, creating a yellow energy shield.

"What the heck?" Maya said. "It's some kind of shield, those small drones are providing them with the protection," AWACS said, "Commander Nagase has the EMP charge weapon we need to deal with them."

Before Cheetah three was about to say something, she detected another aircraft entering the battle zone. Her IFF indicated...

"Commander Nagase?" Maya said she was astonished. "Clear out," the Commander and Chief of the JLF Air Force ordered as she typed in the controls from her left and pushed the button on the stick. Two rockets started to fly at once. Her comrades did as they were told and cleared out the two targets. The missiles struck the shields, resulting in the drone's fall and malfunction. The shields disappeared after twenty seconds.

Nagase turned right, "Okay, that'll do it."

"Good job Commander. Bomber squad prepared to lunch missiles, admittedly," AWACS ordered. "Missiles at the ready, sir. Awaiting commanded," said the H-6k bomber team.

"Lunch."

...

"May god protect Princess Euphemia," said the Britannian Caption of the drone fleet.

Six cruse missiles from the H-6k Bomber fleet have hit their targets, causing a powerful explosion. The two blimps have started tumbling downwards with versus small explosions and fires until finally crash to the ground.

...

"Two primary targets destroyed," AWACS said, "Well done everyone, mission accomplished."

Torii had a sense of pride as it was ready to depart back to Kyushu. He notices that the Glum team have vanished from his IFF.

"We shall have the opportunity to meet again, provided that our patrons continue to contribute financially. Until then, take care."

"Glum Team have just left the combat area. Surface to say that is mission would have been difficult for us if not for their help."

"..." Rai was deep in thought.

Maya huffed, "Something on your mine, Rai. I think we could use that spark of that wisdom of yours."

"Britannia is up to something and I don't know what," Rai said.

"It is hard to ignore the fact that we are being branded as lab rats by the Empire, so I was hoping you were asking about those mercenaries. I want some rest; I'm beat. You're going to take me to a restaurant after that."

"Sure."

Nagase, "Time to RTB and take a breather, everybody. We have lots to be celebrated, a job well done."

"Yes, ma'am!"

A strange turn of events when it is supposed to be a simple bombing run, but it turns out that it's just part of the ploy to use their drones to attack Nagase's air fleet. Nagase did hear some rumors of new aerial weapons, and maybe the drones are one of them. Moreover, there is Princess Marrybell the Viceroy of Area 24; what is the Hero Princess planning by visiting the Government Bureau of the Tokyo Settlement? It could be to acquire data about the JLF air force.

It's too early for her to get ahead of herself by considering the enemy's next move. Plus, it's something the Shogunate leadership will have to understand.

Shinjuku Ghetto, Tokyo Settlement, Area 11(Japan), Holy Empire of Britannia 2:16 PM

Residential Apartment

Toma Nigma has spent time talking to the resident nurse of the Shinjuku Ghetto. Kyoko Sano giggled, "I must say, I'm very proud of you, Nigma-chan."

"Um, thanks," Nigma laughed. Both Nigama and Sano sat at the table. The young commander of the JLF has just completed her studies, with the resident nurse tutoring her.

"You helped me a lot, Sano-san," The lilac-haired girl smiled, "I would have gone straight to Oghi-Sensei's place and waited outside for him."

"Well, I'm glad to be of service," the older woman smiled back.

"Oh, um, by the way, this may sound a wee bit awkward, but do you know anything about the murders here?" Kyoko Sano seems somewhat surprised by her question.

"I'm sorry, but I'm not too savvy with what's been happening lately."

Nigma laughed heartily, saying, "The only reason I asked is that those guards, Geomon and Yukamori, were talking about you being the murderer or something."

"Is that so?" Kyoko Sano asked. Nigma for some reason, felt a chill for a moment.

"I'm certain it's nothing; clearly you're not the killer. You save people's lives, not take them." Nigma spoke brightly.

"Well, it is nice for you to have my back," Sano laughed, "I can understand why they didn't trust me, even though I am Japanese. The only people who knew me best were Ohgi, Kallen and Inoue. I am just an unknown to them. I have been diligently preparing for the war, generating funds through the earnings I have amassed, and essentially resigning myself to the underground shelter."

"So you are one of our national survivalists that Yuji-kun and I read about."

"Pretty much," Kyoko Sano chirped.

"Then they were mistaken about you." Nigma rolled her eyes as she smiled, saying, "I don't know what I was thinking by asking you that dumb question."

"Well, like I said, they are just paranoid about us survivalists."

"You're telling me these guys are as dumb as rocks!" Both Nigma and Sano laughed.

"Hey, how about I stay here for the night with you and Mr. Ono? I'll whip up a special dish." Kyoko Sano said with a cheerful expression.

"I would be honored, ma'am."

Kyushu Fort Complex, Kyushu, Area 11 (Japan), Holy Empire of Britannia 2:20 PM

Privet Quarters of Crown Princess Sumeragi Kaguya

There is one thing about the JLF's bombing run is that with the involvement of Marrybell supporting Cornelia. They have both anticipated that the H-6k bombers would come to bomb the Okinawa air base. He images that they had the option to take out the bombers with other means but chose to use drones instead.

Zero knows that Cornelia would send an entire force to retake Kyushu once again but decided not to because of Euphie. Instade they were planing to use B-52 and B-1 bombers to terrorize the Kyushu population. This is too good of a plan for Cornelia and Marrybell to hatch up, unless...

Marrybell fashions herself to be a genius at war strategy, especially after she manages to defeat the Spanish Army. She is clearly eager to learn what he did with the Black Knights and how she would use that against any rising, inspiring elements in her colony.

Cornelia does not want to know her opponents and would rather see them destroyed, but when it comes to the Imperial Family, she would ignore the advice, especially when it comes to Euphie. So, the whole purpose of is goading the JLF air force is to gather data for Marrybell and herself, but he is sure that Marrybell would find use with that data.

In his opinion, Zero knew that Marrybell was playing chess with him; she moved her pawn, and he took out her pawn. There are inherent risks associated with removing the pawn, as his adversaries may be able to learn from their mistakes. However, Marrybell and Cornelia are not considered the ultimate chess masters.

On that note, Kaguya started looking at the chessboard, trying to think what to do next. Lelouch is waiting patiently for the future Empress of Japan's next move. He was waiting for his future wife for at least two minutes, her expression indicating that she was trying to figure out her rooks, as she herself humming as she looked at her white chess pieces.

The Japanese Crown Princess then exclaimed as she picked up her rook, and placed it down. Lelouch then swiftly picked up his black queen- "Check."

Kaguya blinked, "Again?" she huffed, "Man, you really haven't changed a bit. It's no wonder why you're so good at gambling."

"Well, it puts a roof over our heads," The Raven haired teen said as he shrugged.

Kaguya giggled. Both she and Lelouch sat at a small table with sandwiches and snacks at the side and a chessboard. "I hope you didn't get into trouble along the way. It wouldn't look too good if my future husband gets harassed by some crooks."

"Well sometimes, but I know my way around those guys."

"Are you certain? Because I would like to personlay do a physical examination," She smiled. He raised a brow, at the younger girl, "Physical exam? You are fourteen years old."

"I'm kidding, although..." The black-haired Japanese Princess blushed as she twiddled her fingers, "Until I turn sixteen or seventeen."

"An uphill to clime," He remarked. "Hey, don't sell me short!" She playfully pouted, "I may turn out as beautiful as Euphemia and Marrybell in three years' time, but right now, I'm cute as a button." The crown princess performed a cute one-handed peace sign pose similar to that of an idol.

"You are beautiful, and you'll be more so when you turn seventeen."

"Really?" she said as she cupped her cheeks and blushed again. "Now you're acting like a prince charming; that is the most thoughtful thing you ever said. I could kiss you right now."

Lelouch cough in one hand. Kaguya opens her eyes as her blush dissipates, her hands return to her lap and sighed dreamily, "Of course that should be saved for the wedding," she said with a sly smile.

Lelouch sometimes wondered how he got himself into this. Well, he remembered how and why; most of it was to unify all the factions under one roof to liberate Japan. Kaguya has the full support of the Shogunate, the Kyoto houses (although the Black Knights can count on their support), the Bianca Alliance, and others to be the Japanese head of state. There is the matter of Kaguya and Leleouch updating and rewriting key parts of the constitution that are important for Japan's legitimate rights to statehood, constitutional monarchy, and freedom.

The ancestral roots of Kaguya's family, dating back to the feudal era, make her crucial to the Black Knights and Japan's future. She is also superb at rallying her people in this time of conflict with the Holy Empire. That and because he can't say no to Nunnally's childhood friend's marriage proposal.

Viceroy's Palace, Tokyo Settlement, Area 11(Japan), Holy Empire of Britannia 6:45 PM

Roof Garden

Euphemia Li Britannia stood outside the Garden replica of the Vila of Lady Marianne's estate. The pink-haired princess's hands rested on the railing as she gazed down the stairs and then at the glistening city of Tokyo. From her perspective, the city was stunning the last time she was up here alone. Of course, there are districts that are visible that separate from the common Japanese person and the rich aristocrats.

Brushing that aside from that little pet peeve, she was at peace overall.

The gentle wind flowing to the right side. The Princess was fortunate to count her blessing after what happened to her after what happened at the Kannmie island.

Memories flowed back when she was once again face to face with Zero and at that point she uttered his true name without hesitation.

"Lelouch... it's you, isn't it?"

She saw that his hands shook when he pointed his gun at her. The chances are that he might shoot her at any moment, but she didn't care; she was now certain that it was Lelouch behind that mask, and that was all that mattered to her! Her heart is about to soar, and she has no regrets, even if he killed her on the spot.

"Please! Before you shoot me, can I see your face one last time?"

He couldn't do it after all. He couldn't shoot her. Not when she was looking at him like that.

He removed his mask of his own will. He didn't need to — he was the one with the gun, after all. He could always just deny it.

The grumpy, adorable boy she grew up with left her heart overflowing with happiness when she saw him. She cried, and she smiled. He managed to scramble down the side of the rock in a mildly dignified fashion, but she laughed at him anyway.

As he walked up to her, he removed his cloak. "Here," he said, and when she blinked at him confused, "You'll catch a cold if you continue wearing those in such a state."

She blushed. "Oh — of-of course." She was already shivering, she had noticed that her clothes were dripping wet and hanging from her figure. Lulu must have been embarrassed.

Euphemia made a small giggle at the memory, coupled with other great memories she had with him on that Island, especially during the night when they watched the stars just like during their childhood. He sat on a log, assisting that he will keep watch while she rested atop his cloak. She recalled to him the days of their childhood. That was the most special for her.

That felt like a lifetime ago. Everything changed during the morning after, her ending up in the World of C, uncovering the revelation of what was to become and what would become Lelouch's fate and uncovering a Geass that can read the Past, Present and Future, but most of all, see through the original timeline. Euphie will not deny that she has trouble remembering the exact details of her experience in that world, except the fact there is emptiness. She remembered watching her other self as if she never left the Island. Euphie was partially like a ghost from Charles Dickens's Christmas carol, with Suazku talking to her alternate past version in that office, apologizing for failing to obey an order to kill Zero.

At first, she was perplexed about what's been going on with these visions, but she can tell that it's the future, though it might be easier to conclude that as a dream. But meeting Nina, telling Suazku how she feels about him, seeing Lelouch and Nunnaly at the Ashford Academy Festival, announcing the Special Administrative Zone of Japan or SAZ for short- it is all so real. She felt her alternate self as if she lived it.

No. Euphemia was there at the SAZ ceremony with the Japanese delegation and her own at the stadium.

She looked up and saw a Knightmare. The Gawain.

"He came after all!" Euphemia exclaimed happily. A smile spread across her face and Euphemia walked a few steps and greeted Zero with open arms. Her arms extended out in joy, "Zero! Welcome to the Specially Administrated Zone!"

Lelouch looked down at his half-sister, "Greetings Euphemia li Britannia. I wish to request an audience with you."

"Just with me," Euphemia confirmed knowingly as she looked at him.

"Yes. With you and you alone," Zero answered confidently.

...

"Even though the cameras are off, you are being extremely careful aren't you?" Euphemia looked at Zero with a small smile as the windows were darkened.

"I've been in hiding for a long time," Zero said as he removed his mask, "Due to a certain empire I'm afraid." With little ceremony Lelouch pulled out a gun hidden in his costume, "this is a gun made out of ceramic and bamboo. It can't be picked up on a metal detector."

"Lelouch. You would never shoot me, would you?" Euphemia asked though not sounding worried.

"No. I would never do that...you'll be doing the shooting, Euphie."

Princess Euphemia's eyes widen at that, "Huh?"

"This ceremony is being broadcast globally and the world is going to watch you, a Britannian princess, shoot Zero. What do you think will happen next," Lelouch, already knowing the answer, smirked.

"Rioting would break out, I imagine." Euphemia was frowning at him in disappointment now.

"Exactly and Zero will become a martyr. Tricked into a death trap by the Britannian royalty. Instantly your popularity will crash to earth," he continued to lay out his intentions in front of her. Knowing with his Geass there was nothing she could do about it.

"What kind of nonsense are you saying? You should just tell me to rebuild Japan," she exclaimed in earnest.

"If you force it upon us from on high then you're just as bad as Clovis was." Lelouch announced to her.

This shocked Euphemia, "WHAT?!"

"All tasks at hand have been cleared. After hovering near death, Zero will meet with cheers once he makes his miraculous recovery. Nobody gives a damn about a reason, but who can resist a miracle? Now. Take the gun," Lelouch said as he flipped the gun in his hand as he extended his arm. The handle of the gun now facing towards the princess.

"Huh?"

"There can only be one messiah, you understand? When the people realize you're a false one, they all..." Lelouch collapsed onto his knee, holding his left eye as he let out a gasp of pain.

Her near collapsed brought her back to her reality, fortunately she held on to the railing with her right hand while holding her left eye as she let out a gasp of pain. For a brief moment.

"Lelouch," Euphemia cried out in worry as she hurried to him. She tried to put her hands on his shoulders.

"STOP IT," Lelouch yelled, slapping away her hand, causing her to fall back. "Stop giving me your pity! Spare me your charity! This something I have to achieve on my own. Now stain your hands with blood, Euphemia Li Britannia-" Lelouch was interrupted by Euphemia.

"That isn't my name! I renounced it," she proudly exclaimed.

"What?" The Geass in Lelouch's eye faded in surprise.

"There will probably be a formal announcement issued by the homeland any day now, but I've given up my claim for the throne," she smiled serenely and without regret.

"But why? Is it because you accepted Zero?"

"Of course. I have to pay the price for being so selfish, you know. There are the consequences after all."

"I suppose so. It wasn't difficult to give that up for you, was it? I suppose you did it for my sake."

Euphemia laughed at that, "Conceited as you always were, but no. I did it for Nunnally. She told me herself, 'All I want is to be by my brother and that's all that matters. I want nothing more'."

"For that petty reason?" Lelouch couldn't keep the slight smile off his face as he shook his head. Astounded.

"That's right Lelouch. That's how I made up my mind. It made me stop and seriously reflect on what is truly important to me in life. Do you understand now? I'm not giving up anything that has any significant meaning or real worth to me. Now you don't need to worry that I'll tell anyone about you."

Lelouch had to laugh at that and so he did. "Cornelia?"

"It's not like we'll never see each other again." Euphemia nodded without a worry.

"Euphie, you are a fool. A remarkable fool," he chuckled lightly.

"I know I'm not as smart as you Lelouch, I've never been able to beat you at games or studies, however-"

Lelouch interrupted her, "However, in your usual rushing Euphie-fashion you've managed to win all of it. When I think of you I don't think of a Sub-Viceroy or a princess. I only see the plain, little Euphie you used to be."

"Then will you join plain, little Euphie and help her?" She smiled at him with her eyes sparkling with hope and jutted her hand towards Lelouch.

"Hmpf. You are... you are the worst opponent that I've ever faced. You win." Lelouch shook her hand with a sigh.

"Huh?"

"I'll amend my plans to help out your special zone," Euphie smile grew even happier at this. "Though not as your subordinate, understood?"

"Of course," Euphie smile widened as she nodded,"Though you don't have much faith in me do you? Did you honestly believe by simply threatening me that I would shoot you?"

"Oh no. You've got it all wrong. When I really want people to follow my orders they will not refuse me; whether it's to shoot me, to grant pardon to Suzaku, or any order at all really."

"Oh, now you're just being silly. Stop playing with me."

"I'm serious," he laughed lightly as he turned to face her. "For example-" Leleouch paused, as if time around Euphie had stopped, like someone pushed the pause button on a remote. At first, it must have been one of his playful jokes. However, it felt like five minutes and the surrounding space was eerie quiet, even from outside.

"Lelouch?"

Suddenly, her world distorted and started to crack and about to fall apart like a mirror. Euphemia gasped as she then remembered that none of this acutely happened yet and became terrified, she reached out her hand, hurried towards him. But he vanished like an imaged of an illusion.

Her world view started crashing down like a broken glass.

"No..." She was visibly shaken, "Lulu... where are you?"

"You have once again disappointed me, Euphemia," Charles voice boomed. Euphie's eyes widened in horror, "F-Father?" she had taken a couple of steeps back and searching for the source of the Emperor's voice.

"I've realized that my wayward son of mine would refuse to make you as my sacrificial lame, but I did not think you to be dumb enough to defy me and my Empire with your misguided ambitions. Not only that, you knew Zero's identity all along... yet you choose to aid him and his filth... yet you brought stibility in that region with a promise of hope. Clever my child, clever indeed.

However..."

She was suddenly thrown back to a different place. She was standing on a wide plinth, of what might have been marble. Before him was a series of flat ovoids, arranged as a set of stairs. They led up to what appeared to be a temple, its style broadly Greco-Roman.

Euphiema gasped in horror when she saw her father standing above the stairs with a group of hooded men.

"Tell me Euphemia, what is Hope?"

"Hope?" The Pink haired Princess regained some of that composter that she lost earlier, "Hope is where people don't have to suffer any longer," She looked at her father with eyes beaming with determination.

"A flawed reasoning, my child." Euphemia was visibly hurt by those words. The Emperor continued without any hint of remorse, "There can't be any hope beyond mine. What do you think how my Empire became this strong? There can be no room for Zero and his filth in my Empire, let alone live in my new world."

Euphemia was about to say something.

"Am I not wrong, Euphemia?"

"You ARE wrong..." She whispered as she looked down with her fist clenching. The Emperor then smirked, "You have discarded your title and your name, and conspired with Zero to get what you want, such transgression cannot be overstated."

Euphie looked up at the man, confuse and stunned.

"You will be redeemed by doing what is necessary, and Zero will do what is required."

"What?" She gasped as her whole body tensed.

"You may view this as punishment. However, I view this as a means of redemption."

"No," Euphemia can hear her father's words start to invade her mine, she has taken additional steeps back. She needs to run, but she can't seem to have control of her body. She felt compelled- NO, she has to run!

"You will be remembered in my new world, my dear."

"No... please..."

"As your Emperor, I command you to-"

"I can't- I DON'T WANT TOO!" She collapsed as she started crying.

"Kill all Japanese," He said with a snap of his fingers. She screamed in her mine.

You're right, I should kill all Japanese.

The third Princess of Britannia gasped as she snapped back to reality. She once again looked on at the city at night sky and then looked at both of her hands.

In her mine, her hands were stained by the blood of her victims, but in this reality, she had not done so and as such, there is no SAZ and thus her hands are not drenched in blood. She vowed she will never kill anybody in this timeline, nor will she ever for as long as she lives.

Of course, she knows that Geass is the main culprit for her actions, and worst still. Euphmeia wanted to cry, she thought she fully understood why she was appointed as Sub-Viceroy of Area 11, it was all a set-up, made by her father and Vincent. They have been scheming of a way that could get Lelouch and Euphemia killed, and they succeeded in the end.

The princess closed her eyes as she clamped her hands together close to her chest.

At the very least, when she became the Massacre Princess, she had achieved what she wanted. A chance for the people of Japan to be free and act in self-determination, and the promise of equality, to live in peace. Euphie had no doubt that Lelouch would lead them to that promise. He is a more natural leader than she ever could be.

But that chance never happened because of Suazku and Vincent. She finds it extremely difficult to accept what Suazku has done by falling victim to Vincent's manipulations by telling Suzaku lies. She cannot fathom that her trusted Knight of Honor would give in to fear and to rage. Euphie recalled her vision of Suzaku, piloting his Lancelot, cutting down his fellow countrymen with no remorse and is willing to kill his other classmate. If she were alive at the time, she would never have tolerated such horrific behavior from him...

Would her Personal Knight listen to her if she asked him to stop?

She sighed, fast-forwarded after the Black Rebellion, Suazku aided her father and Vincent in separating Lelouch and Nunnally forever. He became a Knight of Seven, a subservient to his Majesty...

Euphie would have been happy for Suazku if not for the fact that he's done horrible things to Lelouch, Nunnally and their friends.

The third Princess trusted him with everything she stood for, not just her life, and at that moment of his inner crises he has betrayed everyone. Suzaku was better than this!

Her hand griped on the railing, she then took a deep breath.

Maybe the word 'betrayal' is too strong a word. The Pink haired Princess haven't told anyone that Zero was Lelouch. Maybe she did conspire with Zero by keeping it a secret. The fact that she didn't just know she suspected Lelouch was Zero, she knew it was him. She thought about him and Nunnally every day ever since they were presumed dead. She gave him her heart if it meant preventing him from dying. But of course, the Power of Kings has prevented that very thing from happening. A person yearning for death would find it struggling to live...

Is it possible that Suzaku feels betrayal by Lelouch and Euphemia of being denied the desire that he craves so much? Does he want everyone to hate him so that he can achieve such desire? The crux of their relationship was based on the longevity of a hopeful future, but now the passion is gone, and she does not need to worry about him anymore.

Suzaku must walk his path and if she ever crosses paths with him, it would be on the terms of acquaintances.

"I thought I would find you up here." Euphemia jumped out of her thoughts and quickly turned around.

"Marry?" Euphie blinked in surprise, "How did you find me up here?"

Her Reddish Pink Haired sibling crossed her arms, "Cornelia told me that you be up here," The 88th Princess glacé at the garden, "You abruptly left the dinner party," she remarked.

Euphemia's brows frowned, "I just needed some space to think," She knew of Marrybell's future fate at the hands of her former twin Knights. Euphie was relived that Marry still followed Lelouch after what happened to their father. Marry was killed in the same matter and time as Lelouch died.

Euphemia didn't want the same fate that happened to Lelouch to happen to Marrybell. She was very relived and happy to see her here and alive.

"Figures," Marrybell smiled, "Clovis's expertise really paid off well here. It's exactly like Marianne's garden."

"Yea... Hey, do you remember Lelouch and Nunnaly?"

"Hm?" Marrybell looked at her sister, "Oh, you mean Marianne's children. It has been awhile since we last heard of them. May God rest their souls."

Euphemia sighed sadly, "They're... still with us."

"You missed them a lot, don't you?"

"Of course they're everything to me," Euphie smiled brightly as she strolled a couple of steps to the garden, "Lulu, is the first boy that I had a crush on and Nunnan is the best little sister I ever hoped for," She hummed to herself.

"You have a crush on Lelouch?" Marrybell said, mildly surprise. Euphie spun around and laughed, "I thought it was an open secret." she skipped back to the railing to watch the stars.

"Well, it's new to me. Whatever, It's hard to keep up what goes on with my family since I've been working my butt off," Marry laughed as well, joining her sister in watching the stars and the city.

"So I've heard. Have you ever had a crush on somebody?"

"No," the Hero Princess said simply. "I see," the third Princess giggled.

Marrybell and Euphemia have talked about what they have been doing in their spare time since becoming viceroys. Marrybell likes to talk about architecture and history, while Euphie likes to talk about silly stiff like that kitten she met on the street and sneaking out. Euphie and Marry agreed earlier not to discuss the war in Europe since Euphie opposed conflict and when they talked about it during breakfast, it turned into an argument between them. Especially when Euphie has her concerns about Marry's war rhetoric.

They were lucky not to spiral into another argument about Euphie's new role in Euro-Britannia at that war room. Euphie, and even Cornelia, did not like the idea of the possibility of being moved to Moscow.

Marrybell was kind enough to change subject, and went on to another fun topic. They talked about Lloyd, Cecile, and Nina. Marrybell well aware of her sister's antics, thanks to Lloyd, but did not make a big deal about it — yet.

"You know of him?" Euphie asked curiously.

"He and Cecile are my associates," Marrybell explains as she crossed her arms. Her tone has become serious, leaving away any playful interaction they had earlier.

"He told me a lot about your relationship with that Eleven or Honorary Britannian you like to call him."

"W-What do you mean?" Euphie was confused. Marry huffed at her sister's inquiry.

"You know what I'm talking about, Lloyd had explained it to me in detail, on your first interaction, for example," Marrybell put her hand on her hip.

Euphie sighed, "Marry..."

"Look, what friendly conversation you have with that guy is none of my business; however, it should be noted that he is an Eleven and is convicted of Clovis's death. Yes, all charges have been cleared, but it does not escape him of being marked by the best when an Eleven was implicated in a high crime in the first place- and against Christianity itself of all things."

"He resigned his post as my Personal Knight, that should be enough, and I can assure you that I am no in a relationship with him. Not now, not ever, so with that, I mind I consider this matter close," Euphemia's voice was firm and uncompromising.

"I never said that you did," Marrybell pointed out, "But I'm pleased to hear from your verbal reassurance had made clear to your Saxons and Russo ancestors," she smiled once more as she pulled out a gold-red dagger from her right dress sleeve. She pulled out the dagger's sheath and started expertly twirling it around with her fingers. She tossed the dagger upwards without looking and, like the theory of sir Isaac Newton, the dagger pointed down as it was pulled back to earth's gravity, Marrybell snatched it back with relative ease.

Euphemia was fortunate that she was six feet apart when Marrybell did that. It is unsafe for her sister to do that, maybe Marry is just playing around or to make some sort of point, but either way-

"Why did you come here?"

"To warn you," the Hero Princess said simply as she lightly touched the tip of her mother's family dagger and then picked up the sheath and put it back on.

"From what?"

Marrybell looked squarely in Euphie's eyes, "As I've already emphasized, during the hostage crisis, you've found an opportunity to interact with Zero. Given his terrorist nature, he would have shot you dead on the spot. On another occasion, after your selection of that individual as your Knight of Honor, you attempted to intervene with a coordinated effort by my brother to eliminate the terrorist leader."

"So you think what I've done is treason?" Euphie narrowed her eyes.

"At first, I thought you're gone bonkers after you tried to save your former friend but," Marry sighed, "Based on our conversation it doesn't seem that way somehow. Zero has spoken highly of you while you were gone, and roasted your stepmother in the process."

The third Princess's heart skipped a beat when she first heard Lelouch's statement about her disappearance and squared off with Valin at her birthday party. Personally, she couldn't say it better than herself, she was reminded why she fell in love with him ever since she was a child. Though she wishes he hadn't shouted at the Emperor, that would be fundamentally different.

"So I'll go straight to the point; what do you know about Zero?"

Euphemia gasped in shock, "What?"

"This is not your first interaction with that terrorist, you must have known something," Marrybell expression is unusually calm and collective, but her hand tightens the hilt of her Mother's dagger.

Euphie have caught on, "You can ask Schneizel."

"Schneizel isn't here, and don't lie."

"Are you threatening to kill me?" Euphie was unfazed. Marrybell's eyes widened as she gasped and covered her mouth, acting all surprised by her sister's accusation, "Are you insinuating that I would kill you even when the sheath is still on?"

"Then why did you bring your knife with you?"

"Self defense, duh," Marry laughed, "What would you prefer I bring a gun?"

"Marry, this isn't funny!"

"Look, even a respected person of the Empire is entitled to carry a weapon. You should know this by now," the 88th Princess rolled her eyes as she smiled.

"I don't need a weapon, as I'm very capable myself."

"Yea, yea, your greatest weapon is you slapping people around and scaring them with your scolding words. What, are you going to slap me around? Give me a break, I might be able to knock you out." Euphemia grunted at her sister.

"So, tell me about Zero," Marrybell asked casual. Euphie didn't answer, causing Marry to sigh, "You're totally fine Euphie, If I wanted to kill you, I would have done it by now. I'm just worried about yu-"

"This is why people in Europe are afraid of you," the third Princess is said firmly as she looked down. Marrybell blinked at her sister's remark.

"I don't need to dignify you with that question for that reason alone, especially after your pledge to 'end all terrorism'. You're trying to probe information out of me regarding my interaction with the leader of the Black Knights, but sadly, you are mistaken."

Euphemia looked at her sister, eyes beaming with determination, "And you must think I know his secret, but the truth is I do not know who he is behind the mask and even if I do, I am not the kind of person to rat somebody out. Besides, the people of Japan believed in him in all of their heart, what kind of person do you think I am to-" She gasped at the pain in her right eye and forehead—she quickly turned away and held the railing with her free hand.

"Euphie?" Marrybell is shock and concern. "Why is it happening?" Euphie thought. "Euphie, what's wrong?" Marry put her Mother's dagger back into her dress sleeve and frantically hurried to her side.

"Hey, talk to me."

Euphemia felt her sister's hand over her shoulders, she covered her eye when her blue Geass sigil appeared in her eye. Her Geass is showing her another vision.

"I will serve under you for as long as it's for Young Master Lelouch's sake," Jeremiah "Orange" Gottwald

"Where am I? Who am I?" Kururugi Suzaku

"Your highness, Europa United, is not your enemy. We want the same freedom and statehood as the Black Knights. We do not wish to be amidst your fathers' empire, nor do we wish to have our elected leaders who relish initiating conflicts and leave us on the receiving end," asserts Leila Malcal.

"I am going to kill the Black King for what he's done to my dad!" Rio Salvo

"Euphie, snap out of it!"

The pink-haired girl blinked out of her trance, she had regained her conciseness and her eyesight. A baffled Marrybell held Euphemia's shoulders.

"I'm alright," Euphie said with a reassuring expression to her sister as she placed her right hand on hers. The reddish-pink-haired princess felt at ease as her hands released their grip.

"What just happened?"

"I'm sorry, but I have to go." Euphie walked past her sister and to the downstairs bathroom, rushing. She then stopped and turned around to face her confused sister. "We still have plenty of time to catch up, right?"

"Oh no, you don't! I'm coming with you!"

"Okay," she exclaimed with a wave as he came along. Marrybell ran up to her, and the two princesses walked together to the lower level of the palace.

"Euphie has a lot to answer for relating to Zero, but for now, it can wait," Marrybell thought.

"Why did it hurt when my Geass acted on its own? Is it Father and Vincent's doing? Do they know something I don't? Lelouch... Nunnaly... Tomorrow can't come fast enough, Milly," Eupmemia thought.

Shinjuku Ghetto, Tokyo Settlement, Area 11(Japan), Holy Empire of Britannia 6:45 AM

Residential Apartment

Tomo Nigma heard the alarm clock go off. She yawned as she reached the alarm clock and turned it off. The Young Rebel Commander got up from her sleeping bag and stretched her arms and yawned. She rubbed her eyes as she looked out the window.

The Lilac Haired girl got up from her sleeping bag, wore a white tank-top and shorts. She has done her morning excursive as she always does before walking out of the guest room with her extra clothes.

Time to hit the showers. She was very fortunate that the showers still work, the water supply is harder to come by thanks to the bombing and the like.

...

Nigma got out of the bathroom, she's wearing a new pair of white t-shirt and dress pants. "Hey, gramps!" Nigma shouted as she entered the living room. The Lilac haired girl then spotted a yellow note and house keys on the dining table. Shrugging, she picked it up and read it.

Dear Nigma,

I'm heading to the store to pick up a few items. Mr. Ono will be late for his appointment.

~Kyoko Sano

"Hmmm, why leave the keys here?" Nigma wondered. This is all too strange. She brushed it off right away. As an officer of the Imperial Japanese Navy, it's important to find a rationale for the absence of Ono and Sano's written letter. The Survivalist nurse was with them during dinner time when she asked about Ono's condition- right… She had taken him to get his check-up.

Sighing to herself, "Thank goodness, it is my last day." Nigma said as she got up and walked to the kitchen.

She suddenly felt an icy chill and sensed something creeping up from behind her. Nigma quickly turned around and...

"Nothing," Nigma has concluded that she's been too jumpy since Yukamori and Geomon's antics regarding Sano-san, "Those guys better be prepared for a whirlwind of scolding when I catch them."

...

Tomo Nigma walked outside, and locked the door behind her. "Now where should I find those two?" she as she walked to one of the residences in the ghetto, she wore an office women suit with a short straight skirt, wrap wade to order blazer jacket and dress shoes.

She spotted a little girl playing with her dog and cat. With a smile, she waved at the child, "Hey Numi!"

Numi and her cat and dog notice her, delighted to see the older girl.

"Hey, Nigma-san, do you know where Kim, Oni and Sugi went?" Numi asked as she walked up to the Commander.

"You mean they haven't come out and play? That's weird," Nigma said.

"Oh, no, we're just playing hid and go seek," Numi sheepishly explains as she scratches the back of her head. Nigma, "Of course... Hey have you seen Mr. Ono anywhere?"

"Nope, we have not seen him all morning," Numi chirped.

"What about Yukamori and Geomon."

"Who are they?"

"They're part of..." Nigma sighed, "Never mine."

"Want to go play hid and go seek with me?" Nigma sighed and put on a smirk, "Sure, why not, maybe I can track down those two big idiots as well."

Numi giggled, "Alright then let's go!"

Ashford Academy, Tokyo Settlement, Area 11(Japan), Holy Empire of Britannia 7:16 AM

"So Milly is making the agreements for my meeting with Euphie, huh?" Lelouch thought as he walked through the campus. He had just returned from Kyushu after it became clear to him that his Black Knights, Bianca Alliance, and JLF were capable of protecting the territory from Cornelia's forces and the plans were going forward. Kaguya has worked to ensure the security and well-being of the populists in the recaptured territory, and the Chinese Federation has reaffirmed their support for her military and fully recognized her as Japan's sole sovereign.

India has continued to secretly back the Black Knights and the Kyoto House, more so than the JLF. They will also congratulate and support Kaguya as the sovereign ruler of a new Japan and will provide political, military, and scientific aid when Japan is liberated.

After the new Japanese government is formed, Australia will provide diplomatic support to the new Japanese Foreign Ministry. Support from the European Union is still a no-go, but it's not like Lelouch needed them, since their military is in dire straights and most of the elected leaders are incompetent idiots who don't know what they're doing. It's no wonder Marrybell was able to run circles around them.

For what he learned from Dania that Europe's air & ground force was ill prepared for the conflict with Britannia, and the war industry was experiencing difficulties. The Union's majority of hardware production has been dependent on Russia, Spain, and Finland up to this point. The Russian aerospace industry is now under new management and has stopped doing business with the EU. This is not surprising because they have been making a lot of money from the Empire, but now they are serving the Holy Britannian Empire's air force. Marrybell's state actors now oversee Spain's cutting-edge military gear and software in Area 24, and Finland's government is steadily becoming pro-Britannian.

The only thing going for the EU is their Knightmare Frame production and their technological special unit, but he wondered if that would hold Marrybell's forces for long.

He sighed, getting sidetracked about the situation in the EU wasn't his thing nor was his concern, but the Hero Princess, on the other hand, does pose a risk as C.C have warned him about and in light of the recent mission. He had almost got himself captured by Cornelia. He will not let it be the same with Marry.

"Even thought, Marrybell may know something about my mother's death," He thought.

"Where have you been?" Milly said as she stood from the table with her arms crossed. Alice sat down at the table beside Milly. Shirley and Rivals are already in class.

"Working," Lelouch said simply.

"Well, that was a long wait."

"Yea, for two days."

"Countless things have happened in two days," Alice pointed out. "Oh right," Lelouch rubbed the back of his neck while masking his innocent look, "I guess I should have told everyone in the Student Body Council about my date with the Sub-Viceroy."

Milly laughed, "No worries, you're cool. I'm just surprised that I was able to get a call from the Third Princess and about your relationship with her."

For some reason, he found himself blushing over that bit as he looked away and his hand still on the back of his neck. Milly began to smirk.

The Student Body President has relayed what they have talked about during their phone conversation. Euphemia Li Britannia will meet with Lelouch after the class session. The third Princess has asked Milly Ashford to organize the arrangement. Lelouch is to meet with the Princess at the church near Ashford without any guards.

"Are you certain this is allowed?" Alice asked with a frown, "I mean, her Highness just got back from... you know!"

"From the Planet Valkon," Lelouch pointed out.

"Hey, don't get all smarty with me, pal- Please don't tell her Highness that I said that."

"What about Nunnally?"

"Don't tell her, either!"

"Relax, he likes to mess around. It's going to be fine, plus a member of the Knights of the round is backing us up with the local government, since a rounds' member will be enrolled to Ashford academy. SO whatever her Highness is doing here is of official business regarding her new Knight," the older blond exclaimed.

Alice facepalmed, "Should have left that detail earlier."

"So now you know," Milly chirped.

"And in front of Princess Euphemia's betroth too," Alice huffed in annoyance. "You know you don't have to treat me like I'm some Prince," Lelouch said nonchalant.

"Exept you'll get married as soon as you get a diploma, you and Nunnaly are now like royalty," Alice protested. Lelouch had a chuckle at that, "Fair point. We'll look at a time I should probably get to class right now."

"Okay, Lelouch, but as soon as that's done, I want you back here pronto. You don't want to miss your bride-to-be," Milly joked. Lelouch shifted his weight towards the exit, thereby obstructing their view of his blushed cheeks. Euphie's cheerful face appeared in his mine, again.

"Will do," He said. Euphemia must have been fibbing when she telegraphed to Milly that she was marrying him, or maybe Euphemia wasn't fibbing and that she does want to marry him. Perhaps it some strange plot to get him and Nunnay back to the Imperial Family. But if that's the case, how did Euphie know where they-

"Kallen?" He eyes widen. Kallen Stantfeld, "Um, hey Lelouch," she is in her Ashford Academy Uniform, outside of her calmed frail demeanor is a deadly warrior fighter for her people.

"You're back," he remarked. "Just got out of the hospital. I, um, here to meet with Milly." Kallen explained.

"Well, don't want to keep you hanging," Lelouch moved out of the way. Kallen walked past him then stopped as she felt something and turned around, "Hey, um, sorry about me not being at the festival."

"It's alright Kallen, Milly has saved you a big chunk of that pizza," Lelouch said with a soft tone. "Oh, um, thanks," Kallen smiled, "Is she mad?"

"Mad that you have been sick with a bug?" The Raven haired teen asked.

"I suppose not."

"Well I got to go, see you," He waved.

Kallen felt that she had something to say, but what? This is just odd, why is she thinking about this all of a sudden the moment she started talking to Lelouch and what else she needed to say to him, exactly. She shrugged her shoulders and turned towards the student body council.

"If only that stupid puppet Princess hadn't been jeopardizing my cover, I wouldn't of be in this mess." Kallen thought in anger. It is unclear to her why she came back here, Suzaku is still discharged but would eventually come back to Ashford. Kallen must have been out of her mind, but so far, there are no indications of her being ratted out. In her view, Suzaku is a rat, but he wouldn't have the guts to have her in a firing line. With that in mine, she can feel at ease for now.

The day has been pretty uneventful to say the least, C.C and B.B have returned to the Club House. Lelouch has attended the history class regarding Rome and the Greeks. Then after that, he met with Rivals at the Campus; they, of course, talked about Euphemia and Marrybell which is actually the talk of the town throughout the Campus.

"Come on Lelouch," said Rivals, "To think this would get you to Marry someone with high caliber and not only that, you're going to meet with that special someone."

"Yea, but it's not something to take light either," He and Rivals waked around the Campus.

"So, you admitted that you're going to be the groom for the most beautiful girl ever. Are you going to invite me to your weeding?"

"I'll think about it." He then spotted Shirley running up to them, he waved and said, "Hey Shirley."

"Hey, cut the act, we know what's going on here!" Shirley pointed an accusing finger at Lelouch and Rivals, "All this time you're getting married to Princes-"

"Hey, not so loud," Rivals raised both is hands, gesturing to keep it down, "We don't want anyone finding out."

"Humph! I may be Patriotic, buy I am not stupid," the redhead put her hands on her hips, "You can't keep this secret from us!"

Lelouch shrugged, "If it were that easy." Shirley sighed, "You think I don't know about the red tap?"

"She's mainly disappointed that she might get stiff competition with you-know-who." Rivals remarked. Shirley shot a glare at Rivals, "Don't act like I didn't hear that, Rivals."

Rivals started laughing, "Dud your totally jel-"

"Say it and I'll kill you," Shirley threatened.

"Jealous!"

"That's it, get over here!" Rivals laughed as he skedaddled while Shirley stared chasséing him. Lelouch couldn't help but chuckle at his friends as he watched Rivals laugh while Shirley chasséd him like an angry bee. The onlookers looked at one with amusement mutters while some others took a snapshot on their phones.

The pink-haired princess's day was eventful. She and Dalton first conducted an inspection of Rio's new room and were introduced to the young knight's pet ferret. Rio explained that she bought the ferret at an animal shelter in São Paulo, Area 6 when she was training in the conscript core. The price of pets is high for native Brazilians like herself, even though she was registered as a Honornary Britannian, but the store owner gave Rio a discount.

Rio named the ferret 'Dorie' and they have been her best pals ever since.

Thereafter, Euphemia began to sign paperwork, she had remained forces during the entire time so that she can go to Ashford on time. However, she ran into Marry's personal knight, named Oldrin, and had a very silly and fun conversation. Euphie's perception of Oldrin's is highly favorable following their conversation. She can tell that Oldrin is different from any other noble she's met before. Oldrin is a hard worker who likes to try new things. She is also close to Marry because they grew up together in House Zevon. Euphemia offered if she can speak to Marrybell, which Oldrin replied 'yes'.

In the training center, Marrybell was training her sword art with Cornelia's subordinates. Oldrin led Eupheima and Rio Salvo to the training center. Oldrin and Rio were enthusiastic about the Hero Princess's victory over her mock opponent, but Euphie was aware of Marry's battle prowess. After Marry had completed her task, she observed her sister Euphie and their knights and extended an invitation to them for lunch, which they graciously accepted.

Marrybell's formality and ability to make everyone laugh at lunch made Euphemia's conversation at the outdoor dining. She saw in Marry a glimmer she hadn't seen in a while. But when Orpheus Zevon and Bartley had informed them of the results of data they collected from the JLF, she, her sister and their knights had to be in this meeting. For Euphemia it's only because she wanted to press Bartley on showing his lab and because that her new Personal Knight is a Rounds member, she can get access to the facility.

Rio, being a Knights of the Round, has given clearance to and with the backing of Dalton Bartley which he hesitated for a moment but complied. Euphie knew that she's bing sidetrack, but she didn't have much of a chose, she knew they were working on some kind of Knightmare (?) and had Jeremiah Gottwald in their custody.

Euphemia wanted to see wants going on and when Bartley gave her the tour along with Rio, Dalton, and Jenny. Orpheus was watching from the background, apparently instructed by Marry to keep close tabs.

Suddenly, there was a commotion when the capsule was opened, revealing Jeremiah Gottwarld and the entire scene is precisely how Euphemia had witnessed during the Black Rebellion, only this time she was there and alive. It's like history is repeating itself, but she wanted to talk to him, and without a moment's delay as Gottwarld was about to go on a rampaged.

At that moment, she knew what was neccarey and staring directly at Gottwarld she used her blue Geass, the Power of Premonition.

...

...

Fast forwarded to the present, she is at the Church, this place should be familler to Lelouch. He had saved Nunnaly from a terrible person that can use Geass to read minds. Euphie would have Mao in prison, but she understands that C.C only option is to kill him.

The thought sent chills into her spine, she could not think about killing even though... Euphie took a deep breath as she sat in the church, waiting anxiously for Lelouch to come. Aside from her pretty looks, she has donned the same dress that she wore when she first got here and sneaked out on her first day in Area 11.

Ironically, it's the same day that Lelouch have meet C.C for the secant time. She wondered if her Code Bearer was actually C.C, it wouldn't surprise her, but it's a wrong answer.

The Princess gently smoothed out her orange skirt with her hands. She doesn't know who gave her the 'Contract' but she is fearful that it might be V.V or her dreadful father.

"Meow."

Euphemia gasped when she heard a purr, she looked to her left to see a white feline rubbing its head on her white arm sleeve. She then lifted her left arm, allowing it to walk over to her orange skirt and rest its body.

Euphie couldn't help but smile, "Hello there," she greeted as she stroked its head, "How did you get here?" The white cat wore a silver collar embedded with a gold geass sigil and a short blue cape with gold trimmings.

The cat looked up at the human. Euphie asked, "Is that a jewel on your forehead?" as she lightly touched the jewel. "And that collar has a Geass sigil on it. Who is your owner?"

"Well, It's certainly not mine."

Euhemia immediately recognized who the voice belonged to, and she scooped up the cat as she jumped out of her set. She turned around to see Lelouch in his school uniform.

She ran out of her set with the cat in her arms. Now, she is seven feet away from Lelouch. "This... isn't a dream, is it?" Euphie breathed, "You're really here?"

Lelouch saw that Euphie was about to cry. He was shocked to see her in this state, had she been apprehensive about him? "Yes, Euphie I'm here."

"LELOUCH!" She cried as she ran up to him for a loving embrace. Lelouch wrapped her around, his eyes welling up with tears. Bianca, the immortal feline, experienced a sense of suffocation in the midst of a symbiotic embrace between mortal lovers.
