Ch 122 Awakened
Snowpoint City
Hermione wasn't sure what happened to her, all she could remember was that they managed to escape the Giant guarding the Mirror and another appearing right above them. She also remembered that both Cedric and Lupin told her and Sirius to enter the Mirror while they distracted the Giant.
'Sirius…' Hermione paused, realizing that Sirius wasn't around. Most likely he's somewhere else in this Hospital.
Hospital…Hermione took the moment to survey her surroundings. It's strange, she expected to find herself in an Ancient Ruin similar to the one back at Hogwarts,
However, it felt she was back in the Muggle World; but she knew that wasn't true. For one thing, there was a Flat Screen TV in the Hospital Room. Those things cost a fortunate back where she came from,
Regardless, she took the opportunity to learn about the World she found herself in. She managed to find a News Channel where that covered the ongoings of the Country or Region she found herself in,
Another was the Monitors, they were also thinner and more screen. It was the best se could describe them.
Then there were the doors, they were not the typical everyday doors. No, they were sliding doors; she observed the Doctors gently pushing the Handle that opens for them,
Speaking of the Doctors, they possess strange rectangular screens in their Hands. Not clipboards like the Doctors she knew had, but they seemed to be some kind of portable Computers.
'Portable Computers…never thought of that before…' Hermione said, astounded by the advanced Technology she's been witnessing.
Finally, if things weren't strange enough, there were these…strange Creatures called Pokemon from what the News and People called them, walking beside the People. Majority of them seem to be like Nurses or Janitorial, however many of them were accompanied by a Person, almost like Pets.
'This is a strange World indeed,' The bushy-haired Girl said to herself, trying to make Heads and Tails of her situation.
With her pondering to herself, she heard someone opening her Hospital Room door. Hermione looked to see who it was, "Hermione, I see you look better now than yesterday." The Woman, Irina greeted Hermione.
"M-Ms. Ceder, hello." Hermione greeted the Professor, then gave a little gasp at the light blue Cat-like Pokemon accompanying her.
"Glace." Glaceon smiled at Hermione, greeting the young Witch,
Irina quickly noticed how surprised the young Girl was reacting to Glaceon's greeting. She then saw her shale her Head, turning to face her. "O-Oh, I'm sorry. I-I was just surprised by your Pet being allowed in a Hospital." Hermione said, looking at the strange Creature before her.
The dirty-blonde haired Professor turns to her Partner, "You mean, Glaceon? Of course, she's allowed," Irina said, not minding the question. "Much like when we take Pokemon to the Pokemon Center, they too get worried for us trainers if we go to the Hospital."
"I take it that you haven't seen Pokemon before, Hermione?" Irina asked the young Girl sitting on her Hospital Bed.
Hermione watches as Glaceon leaps on the Chair next to the Bedside counter. "No, not really. I have seen other Creatures before, but never anything like…um, Glaceon." Hermione commented, "That's one unique Name, is because her coat is glace-like like Ice."
Irina blinks at the young Girl before chuckling. Hermione looks up at the dirty blonde Professor, feeling a bit nervous from her laughing. "D-Did I say something wrong?"
"No, no, that's not it. You see, Hermione, Glaceon is the Name of her Species," Irina explains to the newcomer to the Pokemon. "It's common for Pokemon trainers to call Pokemon by their Species' Name but quite a few give Nicknames to their Partners."
The Professor cleared her throat, addressing an issue with Hermione. "Since you introduced yourself to me, it's only right to do so for myself." Irina placed her Hand over her chest, "My Name is Professor Irina Ceder, I study Ancient Ruins around the Sinnoh Region. Both me and Glaceon found you lying on the Snow at Route Sixteen."
"O-Oh, it's nice to meet you, Professor," Hermione responded, "Thank you for saving my Life from the Cold." She looks at the Professor, never expecting someone this young to be a Professor.
"Something wrong, Hermione?" Irina asked, noticing how she was looking at her for some time.
"Glace…" Glaceon nodded, also noticing Hermione's eye contact was on her.
The bushy-haired Girl flinched, realizing she was staring. "Oh, I'm sorry. Everything is just so new and strange for me." Hermione said, hearing some chirping from the Window. Gazing outside, she saw a Flock of small dark brown Birds flying into the Sky.
"Starly, Starly," Hermione heard the small Birds, never before had she seen these types of Birds before. "What kind of Birds are those?" She asked, curious about them.
"They're Starlies, a very common Flying-type Pokemon found right here in the Sinnoh Region," Irina commented before asking her a question of her own, "Hermione, if I may can I ask you a question?"
Hermione gave the Professor her full attention after watching the Flying/Normal-type Pokemon fly away. "Y-Yes, you may ask, Professor."
"Please, Irina's just fine." Irina cleared her throat, asking away the question. "Now, you told me you were looking for someone before, am I correct?" She asked the young Girl before her.
Hermione nodded, responding to the Professor's question. "Yes, me and another were looking for a Friend. Her Name is Helena Potter. She has been missing for a few Months now. " She explained to Irina her situation and her Goal.
"I'm afraid you're the only one both me and Glaceon found in the Snow," Irina explains, hearing her Pokemon Partner agree with her. "But the Police and I will try to find your Friend, Hermione."
Hermione nodded, appreciating her consideration for her situation. "Thank you so much, Professor-"
"However, there's one thing that doesn't seem right to me," Irina stated, causing Hermione to pause and listen to her. "Helena Potter…if you're looking for her then…"
Hermione gulps, feeling a bit of tension about Helena. "I believe we should discuss this back in my Lab. You have only woken up and you not knowing Pokemon tells me you're in a whole heap of confusion." Irina smiled, wanting her to be well-adjusted before anything shocking appeared.
"Alright," Hermione said, understanding that they wanted to take things slow. Regardless, now she has a prominent idea of where her Friend is.
Hoenn Region, Potter Laboratory/Mansion
It's been a few Weeks since the Battle against Primal Groudon. Even though they successfully prevented the Legendary Pokemon from gaining more Power in turn causing the World to change, the effects of his awakening lingers.
The New Landmass Groudon created has disrupted the Ecosystem to some degree, however, it's not too serious.
Researchers and the Pokemon Rangers are working tirelessly to rectify and investigate the issue.
The Pokemon League issued a Month Hiatus before Challengers can challenge the League and the Gyms. Till then, the League is reviewing the situation that was unfolded and working on further implications to prevent this from ever happening again.
However, that wasn't the only issue from this outcome. The Main Land was affected by the sudden change in the Environment, many Habitats were damaged due to the Heat from Groudon.
The Pokemon Rangers went out to rectify the situation but they were too many to even get through everything.
Helena saw the state of the Region and acted accordingly, she requested that the Potter Family will help out however they can to Heal and restore the Habitats. Fortunately, many of the former Team Plasma Members are willing to help in this endeavor,
Though they have to reorganize the Family to do those tasks,
Rood handled the Mission Assignments to the Members.
Concordia assisted with the Medical Team along with a Healing Ability User who happened to be a former Team Plasma Grunts named Rosaria. Anthea was busy working as the Trainer School's Nurse/Medical Teacher.
Rajak, the Leader of the Shadow Triad assisted in communication for important information.
As for N, he helps with transferring Pokemon whenever their Homes are destroyed and need to relocate.
As for Helena, thanks to her Family's Money from the other World she can Fund their efforts (alongside Money from Team Plasma). In the meantime, she was given her Maternity Leave from the School since the Events followed.
But that didn't stop her from visiting her Lab./ Home she built.
Helena sat at her desk in her Lab, looking over the reports her Family Members sent to help the Pokemon Rangers and Pokemon Centers.
Fortunately enough Lydia was watching over her Sons while she and Steven were off to Work.
Steven was in Evergrande City, handling his Duties as Champion. As for her, she wanted to check up on things.
"Lady Helena," Helena looks up, seeing the Leader of the Shadow Triad entering her Office.
"Rajak, is something the matter?" Helena looks at the white-haired Man,
Rajak walked over to the Professor's desk, "We receive many reports of our Members on their activities. They reported that the Pokemon are having proper care from the Groudon Incident." The Leader of the Shadow Triad informed the Matriarch of the Potter Family.
"That's good to hear, at least we're able to help the Pokemon and trainers that were affected by Groudon," Helena said, grateful that things weren't as severe as what the Ancient People of Hoenn described in the Text.
Speaking about the Groudon Incident, Helena was concerned about her Student who she'd taken in.
Upon returning to the Mainland, Team Magma and Aqua rejoined them in Sootoplis City where the Hoenn Police Force/Pokemon League promptly arrested them right on the spot for endangering the Region,
Most of the Grunts from both Teams escaped capture, however, the Higher-ups, the Admins, and the Team Leaders were left behind. Of course, Archie, Shelly, Matt, Brodie, Tabitha, and Maxie were apprehended by Officer Jenny,
Unfortunately, Courtney escaped during the chaos, but the main Leadership was all secured.
Due to his Age, Maxie's Son, Paulo was excused due to the fact there were no charges made against him nor that there was any evidence of him being involved other than wearing a Team Magma Uniform and helping both N, Steven, and Brendan in stopping both Teams from within.
Regardless, Paulo was now on his own. His Father was the only Family he ever had, and with Team Magma practically disbanded, the young trainer had no one.
With that in mind, Maxie requested that Helena take Paulo to the Potter Family right before he was taken away.
Helena obliges Maxie's request and takes Paulo in, practically adopting him into the Potter Family.
Helena looks at the Leader of the Shadow Triad, "Rajak, how is Paulo doing? I know it's been a few Weeks already since his Father was arrested." She asked the white-haired Man,
"The young master is doing well on the outside, however, I believe that there's something else going on with him," Rajak explains to the Matriarch of the Family.
"I see," Helena said standing from her Chair, "What is your take on him, Rajak?" She asked her Family Member.
Rajak took the moment to ponder on Helena's question before responding to her question. "I am not experienced with Childcare, however, I do believe talking to him as you did with Lord N would suffice enough." The Leader of the Shadow Triad responded,
Helena nodded, taking what he said. "I'll do that, Rajak. Thank you," She said, dismissing the Head of Security in the Potter Family.
The white-haired trainer nodded, disappearing before the Matriarch of the Family. Helena walks out of her Office and strolls into her Lab's Hallway to speak with the new addition to the Potter Family.
It's been busy lately in the Potter Family, mainly because both Helena and Steven decided to hold their Wedding at the end of the Month, February Twenty-Fifth which was coming sooner than expected.
It was already the last week of January; with the clean-up of Primal Groudon's effects on the Environment and the hunting for escaped Team Magma's remaining Members, they hadn't really started planning for the Wedding.
Not to mention that both the Pokemon Professor and Hoenn Champion have two Infant Sons to care for and raise. Needless to say, Life gets in the way of Plans, but Helena wouldn't have it any other way.
The black-haired Woman made her way to the Library, during her time away from the Lab. Rood and the other Members of the Potter Family have expanded the Laboratory.
The Potter Laboratory was larger than before, they made more rooms for the Family Members and expanded the Laboratory. They also added a larger Kitchen, Dining Room, Living Space, a Medical Office, a Greenhouse, and improvement on the backyard to suit better the many Pokemon staying there.
Helena walked down the new Hallway until her eyes spotted her Brother standing at the Window viewing the Yard. In his Hand was a cup of Tea, sipping it occasionally as he looks at the Yard.
Gazing from behind, Helena could see Roxanne and a few of her Family and Pokemon helping her set up the Venue for her and Steven's Wedding.
Even though it was short notice, they wanted to waste no time for their Wedding before something else happen.
Helena then saw Zoroark and Gardevoir approaching Roxanne and her Nosepass. The Rock-type Gym Leader directed them what to do,
She then looked up at N who was eyeing her, "How long are you going to stand there peering over my back without saying anything?" The green-haired trainer asked his Sister.
"Sorry, I was just curious about what you're looking at N." Helena apologizes to her Brother for surprising him.
N smiled softly at his Sister's answer before replying. "I was checking on what Roxanne and the others were doing outside." The former King of Team Plasma said, turning back to the Window. "Things will be busy when the Wedding Venue is finished,"
Helena could tell there was something else going on with her Brother based on his tone of voice. "N is there something bothering you?" She asked N, curious what had him so down. "If there's something, you know you can always tell me no matter what it is."
"You're always perspective when someone is troubled, Helena." N sighs, smiling at how caring his Sister was. Shaking his Head, N ensured her that this was something for her not to worry about. "Don't worry it's nothing major, just a bit of anxiety over this,"
N looks at Helena, still giving the look she has whenever she's not giving in to his words. Sighing, N shared his feelings toward the Wedding in a few Weeks. "Well, since you're asking, then I guess it won't hurt if I tell you. It's just something ridiculous," The green-haired Ability User said to himself,
"Helena," N looks at his Sister, telling her his worries. "I'm just worried that once you Marry Steven and your Sons to raise; you might be too busy to even spend time here with the Family." He admits, feeling like a Child for saying what he was keeping from his Sister.
Helena blinks, hearing what the green-haired trainer said. After processing his Words she then gave a little laugh at what he said,
N looks at his Sister, surprised to hear her laughing at him. He was about to say something when Helena spoke. "N, no matter what happens, we're still a Family even if I have a different Last Name. There's nothing for you to be worried about, N." She said with confidence. "I'll be around working here at the School and the Laboratory."
"You're right, Sister. Concordia and Rood said the same thing to me as well." N chuckles, looking at Helena to settle his worries. "Well, I guess I should really start calling Steven Brother then," He said, chuckling to himself.
Helena smiles, happy that N was now accepting the idea of her getting Married. "In any case, have you seen Paulo anywhere? Rajak told me something rather worrisome." She asked her Brother.
"The last time I saw him was in the Yard. Most likely to go and think to himself." The green-haired trainer explained where he'd seen the new addition to the Potter Family.
Helena nodded, appreciating N in telling where her Student is at. She thanked him before heading out in search of her Student.
Once outside in the Yard, Helena was greeted by many Pokemon. Helena smiles, seeing Dragonair, Hattrem, Ponyta, and many more come up to the Ability User, "Hello everyone, how are you all doing?" Helena asked the Pokemon.
Everyone cried, telling the Pokemon Professor about their Day and many other things. Helena giggled, not minding that the Members of her Family were watching her interacting with the Pokemon.
Helena listened to their cries, even if she didn't have the Ability to speak with them like N. She could still guess what they were saying based on their excited cries and the motions of their Bodies.
Plus, the black-haired woman quickly noticed that they had come from the direction where Roxanne was scouting the area where the Wedding Venue would be held. Indicating that they were helping the Rock-type Gym Leader out,
Roxanne was on her Rotom Tablet, writing things down for later. The brunette Woman's eyes drift to where Helena is with the Pokemon. She then smiled, waving towards her close Friend.
The black-haired Woman smiled back at her Friend, gently waving at her in return. Helena then looks down at the Pokemon, wondering something about them. "Hey you guys, do you happen to know where Paulo is by any chance?" She asked them,
The Pokemon looked at each other, pondering on the question they asked. Dragonair hums, turning her Head towards the Pond Area. "I should've known, Paulo always goes to the Pond to clear his Mind." She said to herself, petting her Pokemon on the back.
Dragonair hums, feeling that her Partner was petting her back.
Helena smiles, happy to be helpful to her Pokemon Partners in any way possible. "Thank you all." The black-haired Professor said, appreciating their assistance.
The Pokemon all cried out in cheer before running off to wherever around the Yard.
Helena proceeded to make her way over to the Pond Area where some Pokemon like to hang around.
Upon reaching the Pond Area, many of the Water-type Pokemon swam within the Water. Some other Pokemon were resting by the shore,
The black-haired Woman saw her Student sitting on a log while watching his Partner play with the Fennekin she was looking after.
Paulo smiles softly, seeing his Partner tackle the Fox Pokemon playfully on the grass. "Careful you two, don't play too roughly." The dirty-blonde haired trainer said to the two Pokemon.
"Fen! Fennekin!" Fennekin happily cried out in response to Paulo's words.
Servine sat next to the Fire-type Pokemon, raising his arm in response. "Servine!" The Grass Snake Pokemon responded to his Partner's sentence.
Paulo couldn't help but watch his First Pokemon Partner playing with the other Starter Pokemon here. He was still in disbelief that Snivy Evolved during the Battle at the Sea Floor Cavern against his Father's Organization and Team Aqua.
He could remember it clear as Day, he was fighting against a Horde of Team Magma's Pokemon and Snviy was at a disadvantage with their Numbers.
The constant Words of being a Traitor to his Father's Goal have caused him to be uneasy. With that uneasiness Paulo was feeling, he couldn't think straight during the Pokemon Battle.
As a result, Snivy was bombarded by multiple Attacks from the many Pokemon. Paulo was devastated by what happened in a split second,
Paulo catches his Partner, seeing him injured by his lack of attention to the Battle. He started apologizing to Snivy, going on about how he wasn't his greatest Pokemon trainer.
Snivy shook his Head, not caring if his Pokemon trainer was the greatest. All he cares about is that he's trying his best and being true to himself.
Even though he wasn't an Ability User to understand what his Partner was saying. The smile on his face is enough to say many Words.
With that, Snivy Evolved into Servine due to their Bond with one another.
Paulo was still amazed that even if he thought that his Bond with Servine was strong enough. The fact that he was able to Evolve into Servine proves he was wrong,
"Paulo," The dirty-blonde haired Boy flinched, hearing his Mentor calling him. He turns around and sees Helena standing behind him.
"P-Professor," Paulo stood up from the Log, turning to face the Person who became his Guardian. "I-I didn't see you there…um, why are you here?" The young trainer said, greeting Helena.
Servine and Fennekin look up to Paulo, seeing the Professor of the Potter Laboratory. The two greeted her in response to her appearance.
Helena smiles at the Pokemon before looking back at her Student. "I was going around and I figured to check on how you're holding up and adjusting here?" She asked, wanting to know if something was bothering him.
"I'm doing okay, it's just a strange transition between me living at the Dorms to living at your Manor," Paulo answered his Teacher,
The black-haired Woman nodded, hearing what he was saying. Ever since she became a Mother, her maternal instincts allowed her to sense others' feelings. "You know, if there's anything that is bothering you, you can tell me."
Paulo nodded, understanding that Helena wanted to be helpful to him. However, it was a bit hard to open up to her, not now at least. "I know Professor, but I would like to be alone just a little longer." He said honestly to his Mentor.
Helena didn't push further, she understood clearly how Paulo was feeling. She too was in a similar position to him, "Well, whenever you're ready, I'm always here if you need to talk." She said, turning to return to her Home for the Day.
"Um…" Helena paused, turning her Head back to her Student, hearing him calling her. Paulo gave a weak smile, "I just want to thank you, Professor, for taking me in and all." He thanked her as his Partner stood next to him.
"There's no need for a thank you, Paulo. But I appreciate it regardless." Helena said, heading back to her Lab to pack for Home.
Later that Night Steven sat down at the Island Kitchen Table as she spooned feed his Sons.
Casey happily opened his Mouth, receiving the Baby Food from his Father. "Goo…" He smiled,
Steven chuckles, happy to see the white-haired Child enjoying the Food. "That's a good Boy, Casey. Eat up now," He spoke gently,
Casey giggles, swallowing his Food. "Da!"
Steven smiles before attending to her other Son, who's rather picky. "Aiden, you better eat your Dinner." The Steel blue-haired Man said to his other Son, who was still stubborn,
"Mmm!" Aiden turns his Head around from the Spoon, not bothering to even entertain his Father.
"Please, just one bite?" Steven asked, smiling at his Son's early stubbornness. "Come Aiden, your Brother like the Food. Do it for Daddy?" He asked,
"NAH!" Aiden unintentionally smacks the Spoon away from his Father causing Casey to look at them with curiosity.
Steven just stares at the Steel-blue haired Boy, "Just how Babies be this stubborn at this Age?" He asked, grabbing a towel to clean up the mess.
Aiden then returns the glare, not wanting to eat.
Casey merely blinks, looking at his Mother and opening his Mouth. "Ah!" He said, waning more Food.
"Well, at least there's one hungry one here," Steven said before pondering on something. "Maybe you're not that hungry, yet." He said to himself, still learning how to be a Father.
"That's probably it," Steven turns around, seeing Helena walking after returning to their Home from Evergrande City,
Both Aiden and Casey's gazes shifted behind them, seeing their Father return them. They cried out to him, smiling at their Mother,
Helena smiles at her Babies, greeting them properly. "Hello my Lovelies," She said to her Sons before looking at her Fiancé, "I didn't realize you were back this soon, Steven." She said, placing her Bag down.
"I was going to Call you when I got back, but Mother and Father held me up," Steven said, explaining why he wasn't able to Call her.
"I see, well considering they're so captivated with the Twins, I understand," Helena said, kissing both Casey and Aiden on their forehead, squealing in response. "How was your Day, Steven? Is everything going well in the Pokemon League?" She asked, holding Casey in her arms.
Steven scratches the back of his neck, "Well, there's something that came up, Ellie." He said, causing Helena to look at him.
"What happened?" Helena asked her Fiancé.
"Well…we're starting up the Gym Challenge again and Blanche decided to…introduce new Gym Leaders due to what happened with Team Magma and Aqua." Steven started to explain his Day to Helena.
Helena gave the Hoenn Champion a look, wondering what is it that made him nervous about. "What is it?" She asked,
"Your Name is one of the Candidates to be a Gym Leader…."
