Detective Tsukauchi stood in the dimly lit hospital corridor, his gaze fixed on the small, fragile figure lying unconscious in the bed before him. Izuku Midoriya, or Nemesis as he had come to be known, looked so much younger, so much more vulnerable than the force of destruction he had witnessed not long ago. The boy's body was a canvas of pain, the scars and wounds telling a story more harrowing than anything Tsukauchi had ever encountered in his years as a detective.
His mind raced, piecing together the fragments of the story that had been unearthed since Izuku's capture. The truth was far more twisted and tragic than he could have ever imagined. Izuku had run away from home, but it wasn't just a case of a rebellious teenager. No, this was something deeper, something far darker.
Tsukauchi's hand tightened around the brim of his hat as he recalled the reports-the details of Izuku's kidnapping, the horrific experiments he had been subjected to. It was all too much to bear, especially knowing that this all stemmed from the fact that Izuku had been born quirkless. A fact that had led his family, the people who should have loved and protected him, to turn their backs on him. The anger Tsukauchi felt toward Hisashi Midoriya burned in his chest, a deep, simmering rage that he struggled to contain.
Hisashi stood next to the bed, his face a mask of exhaustion and regret. He had barely left Izuku's side since they arrived at the hospital, his injuries ignored in favor of watching over his son. But Tsukauchi knew this man wasn't the hero everyone thought he was. He was the father who had failed his child when he needed him the most.
"Hisashi," Tsukauchi began, his voice tight with barely suppressed anger.
Tsukauchi:Do you have any idea what your son went through? What they did to him?
Hisashi's shoulders slumped, the weight of Tsukauchi's words pressing down on him like a physical burden.
Hisashi:I know, Naomasa... I know I failed him. But I never stopped looking for him. I thought-
Tsukauchi:You thought?
Tsukauchi cut him off, his tone sharp.
Tsukauchi; You thought it was okay to neglect him, to ignore him because he was quirkless? And what about the bullying? Did you even care what was happening to him at home, at school?
Hisashi flinched at the harshness of Tsukauchi's words, but he didn't defend himself. He knew he had no right.
Hisashi:I knew about the bullying... I tried to stop it, but... I didn't try hard enough. I didn't protect him the way I should have.
Tsukauchi:And where was Inko in all this?
Tsukauchi demanded.
Tsukauchi:Did she care at all? Or was she too busy being a hero to notice what was happening to her own son?
Hisashi hesitated, his expression pained.
Hisashi: Inko... she changed after Izuku ran away. She couldn't handle it. She gave up being a hero. She... she almost took her own life, Naomasa. The guilt... it destroyed her.
Tsukauchi's anger faltered for a moment, replaced by a deep, bitter sadness.
Tsukauchi: so what now, what's left of her? A shadow of the hero she once was? A mother who failed her son so completely that she lost herself in the process?
Hisashi lowered his head, the guilt evident in every line of his face.
Hisashi:Yes. That's exactly what happened.
The silence between them was heavy, the air thick with the unspoken truths that hung between them. Tsukauchi finally sighed, his anger ebbing away to be replaced by a cold, clinical focus on the facts.
Tsukauchi:The doctors and scientists... they've been studying Izuku's condition. What they found is... disturbing, to say the least
Tsukauchi said, his voice steady despite the horror of the information he was about to relay.
Tsukauchi:His body... it's been subjected to experiments that pushed him beyond the limits of human endurance. His brain, his physical body, even his skeleton... everything has been altered in ways we still don't fully understand
Hisashi looked up, a mixture of fear and curiosity in his eyes.
Hisashi:What do you mean?
Tsukauchi took a deep breath before continuing.
Tsukauchi:the scientists believe that Izuku's body was forcefully evolved. It wasn't modified with technology or cybernetics, as we might expect. Instead, it's like every part of him was subjected to extreme stress and forced to adapt in ways that defy normal biological processes. His brain shows signs of being hyper-stimulated to the point of causing significant neural growth-areas of his brain that should have been dormant have been awakened, leading to heightened cognitive abilities, reflexes, and perhaps even new forms of perception.
Hisashi's eyes widened, the horror of what was being said sinking in.
Hisashi:But how... how could they force his body to do that?
Tsukauchi:The methods used were... barbaric
Tsukauchi continued, his voice grim.
Tsukauchi:they subjected him to intense physical and mental torture-starvation, sleep deprivation, exposure to extreme temperatures, and constant physical assault. His body, being quirkless, had to compensate, to survive combined with some artificial serums and enhancer The result was a form of accelerated evolution. His bones are denser, his muscles more efficient, and his regenerative capabilities... well, you've seen them. But it's his DNA that's the most alarming. It's as if it's been rewritten, like his very genetic code was forced to change to keep up with the strain they put him under.
Hisashi looked like he was going to be sick.
Hisashi:So... they turned him into... what? A weapon?
Hisashi:A weapon, a monster... it depends on your perspective
Tsukauchi replied, his voice tinged with bitterness.
Hisashi; They pushed him to the brink of death, over and over again, forcing his body to adapt, to survive. And the result is what you see before you. A boy who has been pushed so far beyond the limits of humanity that he barely resembles the child you once knew.
Hisashi's knees buckled, and he sank into the chair beside the bed, his head in his hands.
Hisashi:I did this... by not being there for him, by letting him down... I caused all this.
Tsukauchi watched him, his expression softening slightly.
Tsukauchi:you're not the only one to blame, Hisashi. But you're the one who has to live with the consequences. This is the result of a society that values quirks over humanity, that sees the quirkless as less than others. Izuku... he was a victim of that mindset, but he was also a victim of his own family's failure to protect him.
Hisashi looked up, tears streaming down his face.
Hisashi:What can I do, Naomasa? How can I make this right?
Tsukauchi didn't have an answer. He wished he did, but there was no easy solution to this nightmare.
Tsukauchi:The first step is to face the truth, to accept what's happened and to try to help him heal, if that's even possible. But more than that, you need to make sure that no other child has to go through what Izuku did. You need to make sure that this never happens again.
Hisashi nodded, his expression resolute despite the tears.
Hisashi:I'll do whatever it takes. I'll make sure no one else has to suffer like he did.
Tsukauchi placed a hand on Hisashi's shoulder, a rare gesture of comfort.
Tsukauchi:It's going to be a long road, Hisashi. For both of you. But you need to be strong for him now, stronger than you've ever been.
Hisashi looked back at Izuku, his expression one of deep sorrow and determination.
Hisashi:I will be, Naomasa. I swear it.
As Tsukauchi turned to leave the room, he paused at the door, glancing back at the broken man and the boy who had been pushed beyond the brink. There was so much that needed to be done, so many wrongs that needed to be righted. But for now, all they could do was try to pick up the pieces and start the long, painful process of healing.
Tsukauchi:Call me if anything changes
Tsukauchi said quietly before stepping out into the corridor, leaving father and son alone in the sterile silence of the hospital room.
And as he walked down the hall, the weight of everything that had happened pressed down on him, a constant reminder of the darkness that lurked just beneath the surface of their world. A darkness that had claimed one more victim in its relentless grip.
Tsukauchi sat in his dimly lit office, the weight of the world pressing on his shoulders as he sifted through countless files and reports. The stress had been mounting for days, ever since the revelation that the vigilante known as Nemesis was none other than Izuku Midoriya. The implications were staggering, and the burden of keeping it under wraps was immense.
A knock on the door broke through his thoughts. He looked up to see one of his officers, a young man with a nervous expression, standing in the doorway.
"Excuse me, sir. We made another discovery,"
the officer said, hesitating slightly before stepping into the room.
Tsukauchi sighed, rubbing his temples.
Tsukauchi:What is it this time?
The officer took a deep breath before speaking.
"Well, since we confirmed that Izuku Midoriya is Nemesis, we've been tracking his movements. We discovered several images of him, mostly buying supplies and food. But there's something else-he always goes into this particular alley. We followed it down and found... he's been living in the sewers."
Tsukauchi's face hardened, disgust washing over him.
Tsukauchi:In the sewers? Are you telling me that he'd rather live in such harsh, filthy conditions than with his own family?
The officer nodded grimly. "Yes, sir. It appears so. But that's not all. We discovered some sort of home base down there, and we found this." He held up a small flash drive and a file labeled "Project ALL MIGHT KILLER."
Tsukauchi's stomach twisted. He motioned for the officer to close the door, his voice low and tense.
Tsukauchi:Do not tell anyone about what you found. Not yet.
The officer nodded again, his expression serious.
"Understood, sir."
Tsukauchi took the flash drive, feeling the cold plastic in his hand, and plugged it into his laptop. His fingers hovered over the keyboard for a moment before he clicked on the first video file. The screen flickered to life, and what he saw made his blood run cold.
A young Izuku Midoriya was strapped down on a metal table, his small body trembling. Several scientists loomed over him, their faces obscured by masks. Without hesitation, they began stabbing into his body with long needles, testing his regeneration. The cuts they made were not minor-they were deep, vicious gashes that would have killed a normal person.
Izuku didn't scream. He let out muffled groans, the sound of a child who had been through this horror too many times to cry out anymore.
Tsukauchi:Oh my God
Tsukauchi whispered, his hand flying to his mouth.
Tsukauchi:What is this...?
He watched in horrified silence as the video continued. The scientists didn't stop there. They placed a heavy metal rod on Izuku's knee and, with a sickening crack, smashed it into his kneecap. Then his arms, his fingers-every part of his body was subjected to the same brutal treatment. Izuku finally cried out, begging them to stop, but they didn't. They only watched, taking notes as his body slowly, agonizingly, began to heal.
The video showed other experiments, each more horrific than the last. Extreme electrocution, where they strapped electrodes to his temples and sent waves of electricity coursing through his brain, causing his body to convulse violently. Starvation, where they withheld food and water for days, forcing him to endure the agony of his own body consuming itself. They even exposed him to various poisons and radiations, watching as he writhed in pain, only to recover again and again.
Tsukauchi felt bile rising in his throat.
Tsukauchi:What the hell is this...?
He e murmured, barely able to process the cruelty he was witnessing.
He closed the video, his hand shaking, and turned his attention to the file labeled
"Project ALL MIGHT KILLER."
As he read through the documents, his horror only deepened.
The reports detailed the extreme measures the scientists had taken to push Izuku's body to its limits. They described how they had administered a drug-a pill that Izuku had become dangerously addicted to. The pill was designed to force his body to produce adrenaline and other chemicals at an unnatural rate, increasing his strength and speed but also driving him to the brink of insanity.
Another report detailed the artificial quirk they had implanted in him, a twisted version of One For All. The scientists had been pushing his body to adapt, forcing it to fuse with the quirk and become something far more powerful, and far more dangerous, than the original.
Tsukauchi:They were trying to make him stronger than All Might
Tsukauchi muttered, his voice barely above a whisper.
Tsukauchi:But at what cost...?
He slammed the file shut, his mind reeling. Izuku's body hadn't just been modified-it had been forcefully evolved, every cell and fiber of his being twisted and enhanced to create the ultimate weapon. And the cost of that power was written in every scar, every tortured scream captured on those videos.
His mind was racing.
Tsukauchi: I have to do something... But what can I do?
He thought of Hisashi Midoriya, a father who had neglected his son, a father whose son had been turned into a monster by the hands of men who sought only to exploit his pain. And Inko... she had paid her price too, her once-strong spirit broken, her body transformed by the weight of her guilt.
But nothing could compare to what Izuku had endured. Nothing could erase the extreme torture
Tsukauchi walked through the hospital's sterile, brightly lit corridors, his footsteps heavy as he carried a folder filled with the damning evidence he had uncovered. The images, the files, and the weight of what they represented pressed down on him like a mountain. His mind churned with anger, disgust, and a deep sense of helplessness. He knew this confrontation was necessary, but it didn't make it any easier.
When he reached the room, he paused outside the door, taking a moment to compose himself. Inside, he could hear the low murmur of voices-voices that would soon be filled with disbelief and rage. With a deep breath, he pushed the door open and stepped inside.
The room was dim, the only light coming from the glow of the machines monitoring Izuku's condition. Hisashi Midoriya sat in a chair beside the bed, his face a mask of regret and sorrow. Across the room stood All Might, his massive frame slouched as if the weight of the world was on his shoulders. His usual smile was gone, replaced by an expression of deep disappointment. They both looked up as Tsukauchi entered.
"Tsukauchi," Hisashi greeted, his voice strained. "Any news?"
Without a word, Tsukauchi walked over to the bed where Izuku lay. The boy was motionless, his chest rising and falling with shallow breaths. His face, once filled with hope and determination, was now slack, devoid of any life. The doctors had explained that Izuku's brain had been deprived of proper sleep for so long that, after the emotional battle and everything he'd been through, his body had shut down into a near-vegetative state. It was the only way his mind could protect itself from further harm.
Tsukauchi's gaze hardened as he turned to Hisashi. He threw the folder onto the bed, the contents spilling out in front of Izuku's father. "Look at this," Tsukauchi said coldly. "I'm
Tsukauchi:See what your neglect did to him.
Hisashi blinked in surprise, then reached for the scattered papers and photographs. As he flipped through them, his face paled, his eyes widening in horror. Each image told a story of unimaginable pain-Izuku strapped to a metal table, needles piercing his flesh, his body twisted and broken under the hands of merciless scientists. The reports were filled with clinical descriptions of the torture they'd inflicted, the drugs they'd forced him to take, and the brutal experiments designed to push his body to its absolute limits.
All Might, standing by the wall, glanced at the pictures Hisashi was holding. As he took in the horrors displayed in those images, his own expression darkened, a mixture of sorrow and fury brewing within him.
All might:This... this is inhuman
he whispered, his voice trembling with barely controlled rage.
Hisashi's hands shook as he read through the files.
Hisashi:They... they did all this to him? My boy... Izuku... how could this happen?
Tsukauchi's voice was sharp, cutting through the heavy silence.
Tsukauchi:How could it happen? Because you let it happen, Hisashi! You and Inko, you were so focused on what he wasn't-a child with a quirk-that you ignored the amazing person he was. You neglected him, abandoned him emotionally, and left him vulnerable to the monsters who did this to him!
Hisashi flinched as if struck.
Hisashi:I didn't know... I didn't-
Tsukauchi:You didn't care!
Tsukauchi snapped, his anger boiling over.
Tsukauchi:You didn't care enough to notice the signs! You didn't care enough to protect him when he needed it most! And now look at him!
Hisashi's eyes were filled with tears as he stared at the lifeless form of his son.
Hisashi:... I thought he would be better off living life as a normal person instead of being a hero nonsense he isn't strong and doesn't have a quirk I didn't know it would lead to this
Tsukauchi:That's your excuse?
Tsukauchi spat.
Tsukauchi:That you didn't know? You were his father! It was your job to know! Your job to care! But instead, you and your wife left him to be bullied, to be tortured, to be turned into this... this weapon!
All Might, clenching his fists so tightly his knuckles turned white, finally spoke, his voice low and filled with restrained fury. "These... these people who did this to Izuku, they're monsters. They deserve to be brought to justice, every last one of them. I want to find them and make them pay for what they've done!"
Tsukauchi turned his gaze to All Might, his expression softening slightly. "They're already dead," he said quietly. "Izuku destroyed the facility where they held him. He killed every last one of them."
All Might's eyes widened in surprise, but the fury didn't leave his face. "He... he did all of that?"
Tsukauchi nodded, his tone somber.
Tsukauchi:He was pushed beyond his limits. They turned him into a weapon, and in the end, that weapon turned on them. But the cost... the cost was too high.
Hisashi, still staring at the pictures, finally broke down, sobbing openly.
Hisashi:... I failed him. I failed my son...
Tsukauchi:Yes, you did
Tsukauchi said harshly, though there was a hint of sadness in his voice.
Tsukauchi:And now, we're all paying the price for it. Izuku's life has been destroyed because of the choices you made. Because of the people you trusted.
All Might looked down at the sleeping boy, his heart aching with guilt.
All might: I should have seen it... I should have known something was wrong when I first met him... But I didn't. I was too focused on finding a successor, on passing on my power. I didn't take the time to really see him.
Tsukauchi:None of us did
Tsukauchi admitted, his voice heavy with regret.
Tsukauchi:We were all so blinded by the idea of quirk-based society that we ignored the damage it was causing. And now... now it's too late.
The room fell into a heavy silence, the weight of their collective guilt hanging in the air like a dark cloud. Hisashi continued to weep, clutching the photographs as if they could somehow bring his son back. All Might stood by the bed, his heart breaking as he looked at the boy who had once been full of hope, now reduced to a broken shell.
Finally, Tsukauchi spoke again, his voice barely above a whisper.
Tsukauchi:We can't change the past. But we can make sure that something like this never happens again. We need to bring the truth to light, to expose the horrors of what was done to Izuku... and to make sure no other child ever has to suffer like this.
Hisashi nodded weakly, tears streaming down his face.
Hisashi:I... I'll do whatever it takes. I'll help in any way I can... I owe him that much...
All Might placed a hand on Hisashi's shoulder, offering him a small measure of comfort.
All might:We'll do it together
He said softly.
All might:dor Izuku's sake.
Tsukauchi turned to leave the room, but before he did, he glanced back at Izuku, lying so still in the hospital bed.
Tsukauchi:I only hope that, somehow, he can find peace. He's been through enough for ten lifetimes... and he deserves so much more than this.
As he walked out of the room, Tsukauchi knew that the road ahead would be long and difficult. But he also knew that they had to face it head-on, for Izuku, and for all the others who had been forgotten and abandoned by the very society that was supposed to protect them.
