Chapter 16
(A few days later)
It had been a few days since the group had had their stop over in Cinnabar, and now they were on route 2, on their way to Viridian City, after leaving Pallet Town, after using Lapras to get there by sea.
["I can't believe we had to stay a few days and waste precious time"] Kurama grumbled from his perch on Naruto's head.
"Hey, we hadn't seen mom in forever. I wasn't gonna say no to her feeding us" Naruto said.
["She did make a delicious casserole"] Pikachu said with a smile, as he sat on Will's shoulder, while licking his lips.
"Plus, she also wanted to grill you newbies" Will said, as she snickered at Serena and Misty's blushes, while May simply rolled her eyes.
"Sorry that my mom was asking about grandkids," Naruto said, as he rubbed the back of his head sheepishly.
"I'm just glad that she likes us, whiskers," May said with a smile at the fact that Naruto's mom ended up liking all of them.
"Hey, what's not to like?" Will asked with a grin of her own.
["The fact you're all sex crazed succubuses, who won't let me sleep?"] Kurama asked with a bored tone of voice.
"Oi! You're the one who hates Pokeballs, so that's on you furball!" Will yelled at the fox Pokemon with a scowl.
"Kill Kurama later, babe. We're coming up on Viridian" Naruto said, as they approached the town limits.
"Good! Our final badge, then we can finally go to the Pokemon League" Will said with an excited smile, as they entered the town.
"I think the Gym is close by," Misty said, remembering seeing it when she was here, back before she met Naruto and Will.
"So, what Pokemon are you guys gonna use?" Serena asked them curiously.
"No idea. I mean, not a lot is known about the new Vermilion Gym leader" Naruto said, as they walked towards the Gym.
"Nothing?" Serena asked curiously.
"Nothing, except that he hasn't lost a match since he took over a few years ago," Will said, as the Gym got closer.
["Good, I was hoping for a challenge"] Kurama said with a wide grin
"Don't I know it?" Naruto said, as he approached the doors of the gym. But his path was blocked by the spears of the two guards.
"State your business" one of the guards said with a hard look and tone.
"Uh, me and my man are here to challenge the gym leader for an Earth Badge" Will said, as she raised an eyebrow at the guards.
"How many badges do you both have?" the other guard asked with a firm tone.
"See for yourself," Naruto said, as he and Will took out their badge cases and opened them up, showing that they both had seven badges.
Both guards looked at the badges, before nodding and moving their spears so that they could enter.
"Thanks boys. Go buy something pretty" Will said, as she gave the guards 5 bucks, as she walked past them.
This got laughter from the other girls and a snicker from Kurama.
"You are so immature" Misty said, as she rolled her eyes at Will, but kept her smile, as she had to admit this was funny.
"You love it," Will said with a smile at this.
Naruto shook his head at Will's antics, as he grabbed the door handle. But as he grabbed it….
BOOM!
The Gym exploded, sending everyone flying back away from the Gym doors
"What the hell was that?!" May yelled out in shock.
"Obviously it was an explosion" Will groaned out, as she held her head.
"Ugh, is everyone OK?" Serena asked, as Naruto helped her to her feet.
"Yea, we got lucky" May said with a nod, as she and Misty got up.
"What the heck caused that anyway?" Misty asked, as they all looked at the destroyed Gym.
They then heard a rushing sound and when they looked up, they saw a familiar looking Pokemon flying away, leaving a trail of light behind
Kurama's eyes widened at this, before his fur went on end, as he growled before he jumped off Naruto's shoulder and ran into the destroyed Gym.
"What's got him so mad?" May asked curiously.
"That Pokemon that just took off, was the same one Giovanni used against us," Naruto said, as he quickly ran after Kurama into the Gym.
"Ah hell" Will said as she realized what this probably meant, as she quickly moved to follow Naruto, along with Pikachu.
Naruto and Kurama looked around the destroyed Gym and soon they found Giovanni groaning, as he got up from the ground.
["Oh, this is so better than I could have hoped for"] Kurama said with a mad grin, as smoke came out of his mouth.
"So, you're the Viridian Gym leader" Naruto said with a hard tone, as he glared at Giovanni.
Giovanni looked at Naruto and narrowed his eyes, as he stood up and dusted himself off. "Indeed I am, boy. I suppose that you and Miss Oak are here for an Earth Badge?" he asked, as he noticed Will arriving.
"You bet we are. Though seeing as you're also the boss of Team Rocket, the badge will just be a bonus" Will said, as she stood next to Naruto.
"Indeed. Fine then, this has been a long time coming anyway. So let's end this, with a two on two match. Two from me and one from each of you" Giovanni said, as he took out two Pokeballs and threw them into the air.
And in a flash of light, a Persian and a Machamp landed on the ground, both of them ready to fight
Naruto took note of the ready stance of the Machamp and the straight tail of the Persian. "Stay alert, they are expertly trained" he said with a frown, as he nodded at Kurama.
["Obviously. This is the first Pokemon from the Machop family I have seen that hasn't been showing off his muscles when it shows up"] Kurama said, as he narrowed his eyes at this.
["Of course you leave me the cat"] Pikachu said with an annoyed tone, as he jumped off Will's shoulder, ready to fight.
["Like this is a problem for you,"] Kurama said with a smirk.
["True"] Pikachu said, as he made his cheeks spark at the ready, as Persian smirked at him ready to fight
As they stood at the ready Misty, Serena and May all ran over, seeing what was happening.
"Hey, what's going on?" Serena asked as she frowned, seeing that a fight was about to start.
"Oh, nothing much. We're just about to have a Gym battle with the leader of Team Rocket" Will said nonchalantly.
"…you know what, after Surge and Koga, I'm not that surprised" May said, as she sighed and shook her head at this.
'Naruto's Ninetales (Kurama) and Will's Pikachu vs Giovanni's Persian and Machamp: FIGHT!'
"Pikachu, start with Agility and then hit him with a Quick Attack!" Will yelled, as she pointed at Persian.
Pikachu took off like a bullet and was practically invisible, as he made his way towards the cat Pokemon.
"Hmmm, your Pikachu can use Agility instantly. Very impressive, but that won't matter, if it won't connect. Use Light Screen" Giovanni said with a smirk.
Persian's eyes glowed blue, instantly making a barrier appear in front of him, which Pikachu was making a beeline for.
"You know what to do buddy!" Will yelled with a smile.
["You know it"] Pikachu said with a grin, before he was engulfed in lightning and slammed into the barrier, easily destroying it.
"WHAT?!" Giovanni bellowed out in shock with wide eyes.
"Volt Tackle works on Light Screen, old man. Now, hit him with an Iron Tail!" Will yelled, as she pumped her fist in the air.
Pikachu was already spinning in mid air, his tail glowing whitish silver, which he slammed against Persian's face, sending teeth flying, as the cat Pokemon was sent back.
["Gah! You little rat!"] Persian yelled, as he shook his head, before glaring at Pikachu.
["Send me the bill, Mr kitty"] Pikachu said with a grin, as he landed on the ground.
Giovanni's eyes narrowed at this, before he checked on his Machamp, who had been fighting with Kurama on his own and was actually holding his own, thanks to his multiple arms.
Machamp clapped his hands together, sending a shockwave at Kurama which sent him skidding back, as Kurama dug his claws into the ground.
["Grrrrr. Wipe that smirk off your face!"] Kurama yelled out, before he fired a Will-O-Wisp at Machamp, who crossed his arms in front of himself for protection.
But this resulted in Machamp being covered in burns, which caused him to wince in pain.
"Attack him with Cross Chop!" Giovanni yelled as he pointed at Kurama, knowing that eventually, Machamp was going to run out of stamina.
Machamp quickly crossed his arms and charged at Kurama.
"Counter!" Naruto yelled with a smirk, glad that Giovanni took the bait.
Kurama smirked at this as he started to glow red, just as Machamp's attack struck him.
This caused Machamp to go flying back from Kurama, as if he was hit by his own attack.
"Normally, Kurama sees those kinds of moves as cheap. But for someone like you, he's willing to fight dirty" Naruto said with a grin at Giovanni.
Giovanni said nothing to this, as he grinded his teeth together, before he chuckled a bit.
"What, is losing actually funny for you?" Will asked with a cocked eyebrow.
"This fight isn't over yet, Miss Oak. Persian, Power Gem!" Giovanni said with a smirk.
Persian nodded at this, as the jewel on its forehead glowed, before it fired several glowing stones at Pikachu.
Pikachu quickly jumped around the stones, as they landed in the dirt and made his way towards Persian.
"Thunder!" Will yelled, as she saw Pikachu was charging his attack.
Pikachu unleashed the lightning attack on the cat Pokemon, hitting his mark and making his opponent cry out in pain.
Giovanni covered his face at this, as the flashing lightning blinded him a bit.
"Kurama! Blast Burn!" Naruto yelled out, seeing an opening to attack Giovanni, seeing as he was distracted.
Kurama gave a nod at this, as he stomped his foot on the ground, causing fire to erupt around Machamp, before an explosion happened.
When the smoke cleared and the lightning died down, Giovanni uncovered his eyes and saw that both Persian and Machamp were down on the ground with swirls in their eyes.
"Game"] Will and Pikachu said with a grin.
"Set"] Naruto and Kurama said together.
"Match!"] both trainers and Pokemon said together

Giovanni looked at his defeated Pokemon and after a few moments, he thought about his past as a young trainer.
"He better not be planning a punk ass move and take off with our badges" Will said, as she glared at Giovanni.
["Like hell I'll accept that!"] Kurama barked out in a rage, as he got ready to run at Giovanni.
Giovanni held up his hand at this, making Kurama pause in his charge.
"It's my honor to present you two with these last Earth badges," Giovanni said, as he showed them the two badges in his hand, which looked like small green leaves.
Naruto and Will both blinked at this, before they both took one.
"I'm surprised this is your reaction" Naruto said, as he put his badge away.
"Yea. I had you pegged for swearing that this isn't over yet or something equally cliche" May said as she, Serena and Misty approached.
They all suddenly heard what sounded like police sirens heading towards them.
"Quick, grab him!" Will yelled, as she looked at Kurama, who's tails moved towards the Team Rocket leader.
"No need for that. After this battle, I am done with all of this. I will be turning myself in and confessing to all of my crimes" Giovanni said, as he returned his Pokemon to their Pokeballs, before he held up his hands.
"What caused this?" Naruto asked with a raised eyebrow, as he crossed his arms.
"Honestly? It was this battle" Giovanni said, as he walked towards the arriving police cars.
"Eh?" Will asked with wide eyes, as she tilted her head in confusion.
"This battle had reminded me of better times, before I lost my way. So I thank you both" Giovanni said with a smile, as he walked towards the police cars.
"Uh….no problem" Naruto said with a bewildered look on his face.
Giovanni paused at this, before he turned to look at Naruto. "Oh, and before I go, one more thing; if you find that Pokemon that destroyed my Gym, tell him that I'm sorry" he said, before he continued to approach the police cars.
Naruto frowned at this, as they all watched the police take Giovanni away.
"What do you think he meant by that?" Misty asked curiously.
"Who cares? We have all eight badges now! So I say that we go to a buffet and eat ourselves stupid" Will said with a smile.
["Fuck yea!"] Kurama yelled with a grin at this suggestion.
["Break out the ketchup!"] Pikachu yelled happily, as he gave the peace sign.
"Plus, maybe we can have a 'celebration' after dinner for dessert," Will said with a saucy smile and a wink at Naruto, Serena, Misty and May.
["Food now, you being a freak later!"] Kurama yelled at Will.
Will growled at this, before she glared at Kurama.
"OK you two, let's just get to the hotel and relax a bit" Serena said, as she got in between the Pokemon and trainer and pushed them apart.
"Yea. Plus, we can start making plans for the Indigo League" Naruto said, as he led the way down the road,
"That's in three months, babe," Will said with a pout.
"Yea, so you have plenty of time to prepare," May said with a nod.
"I don't want to waste time just waiting for the league to start Naruto said as he frowned
"I'm sure that we can find something to do to keep us busy, while we wait" Misty said with a shake of her head.

(Deserted island)
On a deserted island, where there was the destroyed remains of what looked like a laboratory, the Pokemon that had destroyed the Viridian Gym stood on the ground and looked at the open sea, before he removed his helmet, showing his face. It had short blunt horns on top of its head, and purple eyes while a tube extended from the back of its skull to the top of its spine, bypassing its neck.
["Why do I exist? What is my purpose for being? These humans use us for sport and slaves. I will destroy Humans and Pokemon alike and take over this world"] the Pokemon thought, as its eyes started to glow with psychic power, as it started to change the island itself.
P.O.M was nailing planks of wood to the door, as Kfbanime87 was sat at his desk watching
What are you doing? Kfbanime87 asked curiously
Well, this should hopefully keep that moron from entering: P.O.M said with a smile, as he stepped back to look at what he'd done, and turned around to walk to his desk
But before he could sit down….
INCOMING! Deadpool's voice was heard yelling, as he smashed his way through the window, where he fell on the floor in a heap, before he stood up, showing that he had blue tattoos painting on his forehead, the back of his hands and the top of his feet, a stuffed lemur toy on his shoulder and a glider staff in his hand
Ugh: Kfbanime87 said with a groan at this
Problem? P.O.M asked with a cocked eyebrow
I have heard some rumors about the new Avatar show with some changes they made and let's just say, that they don't give me much hope: Kfbanime87 said, as he shook his head
Oh, like what? P.O.M asked
Like them taking away Sokka being a sexsist in the beginning: Kfbanime87 said with a scoff
Blasphemy! It was hilarious in the anime: Deadpool roared out in anger
Why the hell would they do that? If you take that away, he has no way to grow as a character: P.O.M said as he frowned at this
Yup, starting to see why Mike and Broan bailed on this: Kfbanime87 said with a sigh
Well, you said that One Piece looked bad too and look how that went: Deadpool said
…..fair. Ok, I'll give this a chance, but my expectations are low: Kfbanime87 said with a nod
Is there any good news? P.O.M asked, as he hoped they had a better subject
Percy Jackson got a season 2 announcement: Kfbanime87 said, as he put on his helmet
AWESOME! When is it coming out? Deadpool asked excitedly
No release date, but it will cover book 2: Kfbanime87 said with a shrug
HA! I knew that they'd do each book as a season: Deadpool said with a fist pump
Glad that the show proved itself: P.O.M said with a smile
Hey, didn't you want to do a fic with Percy Jack -: Deadpool was saying, before Kfbanime87 hit him with a medieval mace
Stay the hell out of my notes! Kfbanime87 yelled in a rage
Oh jeez, who's Naruto's parent in your idea? Is it Hades? Or Artemis? P.O.M asked, as he gave Kfbanime87 a look
Do I look like an unoriginal hack to you? Kfbanime87 said with a scoff
Just asking, since I've read a few where Artemis is Naruto's parent: P.O.M said, as he held his hands up

Yea, he prefers to think outside the box: Deadpool said with a groan, as he healed
Quit kissing ass! Kfbanime87 yelled, as he raised his mace to take another swing at the mad merc
