Author Note: Hello everyone back again with another chapter. Both Pyro and I are honestly kinda shocked with all the positive feedback this story is getting and how popular it is becoming.
Also HOLY HELL was Season 5 of Camp Cretaceous insane. I binged the whole season the day it came out and I fricking loved it. Massive improvement over Season 4 in my opinion and REALLY hope they end up making a Sequel Series given how the Season ends. I have to say I am really looking forward to covering Season 5 in this story.
Anyway not much else to say so let's get this chapter underway shall we.
The van was motionless as it rested against a large rock, its front end heavily damaged as indicated by the crumpled metal and column of black smoke rising up from under the hood. Inside the van was a different story as the campers began to regain consciousness with several groans of pain.
"Is everyone okay?" Darius asks looking around the van at the others seeing them more or less alright thanks mainly due to them having worn their seatbelts.
"Think I'm good…though Yaz, since when do you have a twin sister?" Naruto says shaking his head a bit as he looks at the athlete sitting next to him, his vision slightly impaired "Actually scratch that might have a minor concussion give me a minute or two and I should be good," he adds rubbing the side of his head.
Yaz suddenly unbuckles her seatbelt and quickly exits the van slamming the door behind her "Yaz wait!" Sammy yells, opening the back doors of the van and going after her "Wait! Yasmina!" the cowgirl yells walking after her as the others also start getting out of the van.
"We're not OKAY!" Yaz snaps angrily as she continues walking "We're in the middle of a jungle with a monster dinosaur, and who knows what else, and you…" she continues stopping and turning around glaring at the Texan following her "You…" she says again trailing off.
"Destroyed our only way to get help and lied about it!" Brooklyn shouts angrily.
"So you did take Brooklynn's phone? Why would you do that!" Darius says walking over and standing next to Brooklynn.
"I may be new to this whole interacting with people my age thing but pretty sure jacking someone's stuff is a big no…right?" Naruto asks joining the others, having finally gotten out of the van and heard the conversation still rubbing the side of his head slightly.
Yaz's eyes widened seeing this as in her anger she had completely forgotten that Naruto was possibly injured in the crash…which she caused, making her feel guilty. Walking over to the blonde the girl looked him in the eyes seeing one of his slit pupils slightly larger than the other "Are you okay? Based on how your pupils look with one being dilated and the other normal it looks like you might have a minor concussion" she asks in a slightly worried tone.
"I'm fine, not the first time I have had a concussion let alone a minor one, should be gone in a few minutes to a couple hours at most. Now to get back on topic why did you take Brooklynn's phone Sammy and furthermore why did you lie about not having it when shit hit the fan" Naruto says in an appreciative tone towards Yaz before turning to look at Sammy.
The cowgirl was fidgeting in place and opened her mouth a few times as if to say something only for Brooklynn to cut her off "She probably took it to try and erase my video of her taking those samples from the baby Triceratops yesterday after the whole Gyrosphere and Stampede incident" the pink haired girl snaps with a glare before her eyes widen "Wait a minute, you knew about the Indominus Rex, because you were snooping around Dr. Wu's office when I ran into you. I knew it!" she adds in realization as she connects the dots.
"I didn't mean to break the phone! I fell on it when the zipline came down!" Sammy suddenly yells in her defense.
"But you did steal it. You had it that whole time and didn't tell us" Ben says calmly as he sits on the grass and pets Bumpy.
"Not defending Sammy here but given how was shit went down her telling us she had the phone wouldn't have made a difference when the Indominus attacked us the first time" Naruto chimes in crossing his arms across his chest.
"Hold up what were you doing in Dr. Wu's Office Brooklynn?" Darius asks, giving the pink haired girl a look.
"I…it doesn't matter" the social media star says before deflecting the question.
"Sounds to me like superstar here was doing some snooping of her own probably to try and boost her follower count or something" Kenji says with a shrug.
"I didn't break our only way to call for help and then lie about it! This is not my fault! This is her fault!" Brooklynn shouts angrily.
"I'm here to spy!" Sammy suddenly yells cutting the girl's tirade off and causing everyone's eyes to widen in shock while off to the side Naruto's eyes suddenly narrow and he clenches his fists "For a company called Mantah Corp" she adds.
"Mantah Corp?…They're a Bioengineering Company, and big rivals with Masrani. They tried making dinosaurs awhile back but Dr. Wu beat them to it" Darius explains to the others aftering seeing the confused looks on Kenji and Ben's faces.
"You doomed us all for some lousy company!" Ben suddenly snaps causing Sammy's eyes to widen at the outburst from the normally timid boy.
"My family's ranch was in trouble, so my parents had to borrow a lot of money. However it turns out the people they borrowed from were really shady and were fronting for Mantah Corp. They said we'd lose everything unless I spied for them. Use the behind-the-scenes access I'd get at camp to gather info from Wu's Lab, and DNA from Dino's along with whatever else they needed. That Eddie guy was my contact. I was supposed to hand everything over to him and he would send it off to Mantah Corp. But Brooklynn caught on and I got scared and panicked and then everything went wrong." Sammy says explaining everything much to the shock of the other campers.
"Well it looks like the Indominus has done something good then in getting rid of a spy" Naruto states with a growl his knuckles white from how tightly he is clenching his fists.
"Dude that's kinda harsh I mean yeah the douche left us behind to try and save his own ass, and yeah he was a spy but he was just brutally killed" Kenji said with a raised eyebrow finding the blonde's remark kinda dark.
"Yeah well I just hope the Indominus made his death as painlful as possible as if I knew he was a spy let alone a spy for Mantah Corp of all people I would have shoved his ass into the Raptor or T-Rex paddock, The Mosasaurus Lagoon, or into a pack of Compys and rang the fucking dinner bell with a smile" Naruto snarls out further clenching his fists to the point his knuckles are heard popping.
"Okay seriously dude what the fuck is with you thats some psycho-level shit right there!" Kenji snaps back.
"Mantah Corp…Killed…My…Mom!" Naruto growls out before slamming his fist back into the side of the van with a loud bang creating a sizable dent in the side of it and actually making the van rock to the side causing the others eyes to widen in shock at both the feat and the reveal. The blonde takes a deep breath to calm himself like how his dad had taught him before continuing "Back when I was around 4 or 5 my mom and I were in a small plane on our way here to meet my dad as he wanted to show us how the park was coming along. Anyway we are just entering the island's airspace when all of a sudden there is a bang and the plane's engines start smoking. The pilot then says that he has lost all control and we are going down so we need to brace for impact but he is going to try and set us down in a grassy area. Sounds good and everything but then there is another bang and all of sudden engines, flaps, and wheels all fall off the plane and we start dropping like a rock. Safe to say, trying to land in a grassy field wasn't happening and we ended up slamming right into the side of Mount Sibo" Naruto says, explaining his hatred.
The eyes of the group all widen in shock at hearing Naruto tell his story and are about to say something when he continues "Pilot was the first to die as the impact crushed the cockpit. My mom was next as she had unbuckled her seatbelt and thrown herself over me to try and shield me with her body which she did but ended up taking a spear of metal through the back and out her chest as a result. Because of her sacrifice I was relatively unharmed minus some cuts, bruises, and a bad case of whiplash. My dad had seen the whole incident happen and had immediately rushed to the crash site with as many people as he could gather in a moment's notice and began sifting through the wreckage looking for survivors to which he found me. However moments later one of the workers came over with a piece of debris that didn't belong to the plane. It was a small black box about the size of a juice box that was severely burned with torn and melted wires coming out of it. He said he found it among the wreckage of the engines and upon seeing the Mantah Corp logo on it brought it over. However as the worker went to pry the box open a click was heard before it suddenly exploded in his hands completely destroying the box thus destroying any evidence and killing the worker as well" Naruto says once more shocking the group before he continues "Dad tried to bring Mantah Corp to justice for their crimes but it was useless as all the evidence of their involvement had been destroyed. The FAA also ruled the incident as a freak accident with pilot error so there was nothing my dad could do" the blonde says wrapping up his story.
"Dude…" Kenji stated in shock having no idea what to say after what he just heard. The rest of the group were no better as they had no idea their blonde fellow camper had such a tragic incident in his past.
"You see that's why I had to spy, that's the type of people that are threatening my family! However this is the last thing I wanted to happen" Sammy says, rationalizing her spying given the merciless nature of Mantah Corp as shown by Naruto's story. However at the same time she made it clear that she never wanted to put the others in harm's way.
"Oh you mean to be next to a broken van on Killer Dinosaur Island? Hey me too! What are the odds" Yaz says with a scoff and sarcasm before she resumes glaring at Sammy.
"Just going to let that remark about the island slide given the situation" Naruto comments with a shrug of his shoulders as while it was kinda an insult towards his Dad's hard work he understood how Yaz was likely feeling at the moment given everything that was going on.
"Yaz I-Was it all a lie? Wanting to be friends? Pretending you cared about…You just needed someone to act as a cover for what you were doing" Sammy begins to say something only for Yaz to cut her off and question her about all their interactions with each other sounding more hurt with the more she said. Sammy begins to sob with tears running down her cheeks as she hears this causing Yaz to scoff "I'm such an idiot" she says before turning her back on Sammy.
"You're wrong, I just didn't know how to explain to you what I was doing and why. Just because I spied it doesn't change who I am." Sammy says reaching out to place her hand on Yaz's shoulder.
However the athletic girl suddenly turned around and glared at the Texan "Don't touch me…Go away Sammy" she says her tone calm yet and underlying anger buried within it. Hearing this Sammy gasps before she starts whimpering and walks off a bit crying slightly.
"Don't go far and stay near the Van!" Naruto yells causing the girl to stop and look at him with wide eyes which the rest of the group mirrored "Don't get me wrong I am still beyond pissed off that you are a spy let alone a spy for fucking Mantah Corp. However it's my responsibility to get all of you to safety, and you were spying to save your family. Those two reasons are why I am not going to leave your ass out here to fend for yourself so don't wander off" he says causing the girl to rub her eyes wiping away some tears before she nods and walks over to the front of the van and sits on the ground to think about everything she has done and what it has cost her.
Naruto then lets out a sigh as he sits on the ground himself for a moment leaning against the side of the van. The whole reveal of Sammy being a spy was honestly not something he saw coming given how nice the girl seemed. He was soon joined by Yaz who walked over and took a seat next to him. Looking at the girl Naruto could tell that Sammy's betrayal had really hurt her so he placed his hand on her shoulder getting her attention. Yaz looked into his dual-colored eyes and saw understanding, compassion, and sympathy causing her eyes to water a bit before she rubbed them and leaned her head on Naruto's shoulder. The blonde simply brought his arm up and rubbed the side of her head to comfort the hurt girl.
Bumpy seeing this decided to walk over and put her front legs on Yazs legs gently nudging her with her head while letting out little grunts "Not now Bumpy" Yaz says lightly pushing the baby Ankylosaurus away as while she was appreciative that the baby seemed to be trying to cheer her up or comfort her it was wanted at this time.
"Look I know the situation is suboptimal-It's trash Ben just call it trash" Ben begins to say trying to cheer everyone up as the mood had soured after the reveal only for Brooklynn to cut him off. "Yes but despite the obvious…trashitude we…we need to" he begins to say again only for Bumpy to start grunting and squealing, cutting him off "Bumpy what are you try to say?" the boy asks as everyone turns their attention to the distressed baby dino.
Naruto's eyes widen in horror as he feels the ground rumbling and can hear thundering footsteps rapidly getting closer with each passing second "Oh fuck" he whispers out before a familiar roar is heard and the Indominus breaks out of the treeline with a roar heading straight at the campers who look in horror.
They knew they were dead, that they would soon feel the agonizing pain of the Indominus's jaws clamping down on their bodies crushing them with ease as its razor sharp teeth rip into their flesh "Were dead!" Kenji screams in terror he, Ben, Darius, Brooklynn, Sammy, and Bumpy made a mad dash for the other side of the van in what was surely a meaningless attempt to get away. Yaz was frozen in her spot on the ground so Naruto just pulled her towards him burying her face in his chest to comfort the girl not wanting her to see their death as they waited for the Indominus to end them.
However as if some divine power was looking out for them the Indominus completely ignored the helpless campers and continued running passing by them entirely as it continued on its way much to the campers utter shock.
"What the heck?" Darius says in confused shock having fully expected to be killed by the Indominus right then and there a thought that was mirrored by everyone else. Suddenly the sound of a helicopter was heard and a blue and white helicopter went flying by overhead barely a hundred feet off the ground accompanied by the sound of fully automatic gunfire as a person manning a mounted minigun could barely be seen shooting at the Indominus from the open side door of the aircraft.
"That's Masrani's Helicopter. I recognize the callsign on the tail!" Kenji yells in joy thinking they were going to be saved. Hearing this snapped Naruto;s eyes open as he quickly got up pulling Yaz with him as everyone stepped out into the open to watch the sight unfold.
"They're shooting at the Indominus!" Darius yells as everyone chases after the fleeing hybrid and the helicopter as best they could as they see them nearing a large domed building as the sound of gunfire fills the air.
Suddenly a loud crash was heard causing the campers to wince "What was that?" Brooklyn asks in worry as the sound definitely didn't sound good.
"Yeah kick its butt Masrani! Whooho were saved!" Kenji roars, cheering on the man as Naruto watches with a wide grin on his face, extremely proud of his dad at the moment.
(With Masrani)
The man was completely focused as he flew the helicopter in pursuit of the fleeing Hybrid. He had seen via cameras the destruction and loss of life that the monster had already caused in the short time that it had escaped from its paddock. He had watched it kill two parkworkers around its paddock, and then go on to brutally slaughter nearly an entire ACU Task Force sent to capture the beast. That particular thought caused the man to grit his teeth in anger and guilt as he was partially to blame for those deaths given he had ordered the Non-Lethal Force in an attempt to recapture the animal given the vast amount of money that was sunk into its creation.
The man tightened his grip on the helicopter's control stick as he thought about the men that died from that mistake, several of whom were close friends of his son namely Commander Hamad, Lee, Craig, and Spears all of whom had lost their lives to the Hybrid. Masrani cringed as he thought of having to tell his son that some of the very few true friends he had on the island.
Thinking of his son made the man go from cringing to gritting his teeth in determined rage as he had no idea if his son was safe let alone alive at the moment. As soon as the Indominus had broken out he had made a call and tasked several park staff with instructions to take a couple of jeeps and race out to the camp and retrieve not only his son but the rest of the campers and bring them to the main operations building for their safety. They were supposed to radio back as soon as they reached the camp and again when they picked up the campers and were enroute back. However no word had been heard from them since they left to go to the camp, making the man fear the worst.
It was this lack of word that had driven the man to finally agree with Owen's suggestion to mount the park's sole emergency lethal heavy weapon onto the helicopter and fly it out to hunt down the Indominus despite his flight training not having been complete. However none of that mattered to the father right now as his sole goal at the moment was to put down the monster that had broken free so that he could search for his son. The man wouldn't rest until the Indominus was a cold bullet hole riddled carcass on the ground and his son was safe and sound.
"Sir we just flew over some civilians!" the soldier manning the Minigun managed to yell over the deafening sound of gunfire.
"WHAT!" Masrani yelled back in shock not taking his eyes off the Indominus as it neared the Aviary Dome which housed the dozens upon dozens of Pteranodons and Dimorphodons that inhabited the park.
"IT WAS SEVEN TEENAGERS FOUR MALE, THREE FEMALE, ONE HAD DISTINGUISHING FEATURE OF SPIKEY BLONDE HAIR!" the gunner yells at the top of his lungs making sure he was heard over the gunfire.
Masrani's eyes widened in shock at hearing this "Naruto…THAT'S MY SON!" he says, whispering the first part before yelling the latter part. The man then looks at the soldier sitting next to him acting as his co-pilot "Get on the radio and tell them to get someone I don't care who, back there to save those kids! Tell them it's a Code: MAELSTROM DANGER We will keep pursuing the Indominus and make sure it doesn't double back no matter what!" he yells to the man just as the Indominus crashes into the side of the Aviary and busts into the building.
The soldier grabs the radio and presses the button on it to talk "Command this is Jurassic 1 we have spotted Civilians at Point 9.5 in Sector 4, Consists of Seven Teenagers Four Male, Three Female, Code: MAELS-LOOKOUT!" The soldier says into the radio before looking up as Pteranodons start flying at the helicopter having escaped through the hole the Indominus made in the side of the building.
Masrani quickly jerks the control stick to the side, sending the helicopter strafing to the side to avoid the oncoming flying reptiles. The sudden and intense force of the maneuver being so great that it causes the gunner to lose his balance and fall out of the helicopter dangling for his life by his grip on the mounted gun as Pteranodons start swarming around the aircraft. One Pteranodon pierces the windshield of the cockpit head-on with its beak skewering Masrani's co-pilot in the chest killing the man instantly. The other soldier is then picked off seconds later as a Pteranodon catches him in the mid-section with its open beak yanking the man off of the Minigun and flying away with him. The helpless man likely dying either from other Pteranodons pecking him in the air or being dropped to his death by the one carrying him.
Masrani tries his best to keep the Helicopter in the air as it is swarmed by the flying reptiles as they poke holes in the fuselage with their razor sharp beaks. However his effort to save the aircraft becomes impossible as a Pteranodon collides with the helicopter's tail rotor, shearing the blades off as they shred the flying reptile. The lack of the tail rotor causes the aircraft to start slowly spinning down towards the roof of the Aviary smoke pouring out of its engine.
Masrani frantically tries to keep the aircraft in the air but knows deep down that it's impossible, a fact that is solidified by the helicopter crashing into and through the thick glass ceiling of the Aviary and plummeting towards the ground below. As he sees the ground rapidly getting closer Masrani thinks one final time about his son and closes his eyes accepting his fate "I'm sorry Naruto" he whispers out just as the helicopter crashes into the ground and erupting into a massive explosion the flames of which nearly reaching the domed ceiling of the building and killing the man instantly.
(Moments Before with Campers)
The hope and joy that the campers felt at the possibility of being rescued quickly turned to fear and terror as they saw the swarm of Pteranodons rise up out of the Aviary and begin attacking the Masrani's helicopter.
Naruto felt his heart drop into his stomach the moment he saw the smoke start billowing out of the helicopter's engine seconds before it began to spiral out of control. He fell to his knees in shock, a vacant gaze in his eyes as the helicopter slammed through the Aviary roof and mere seconds later the deafening explosion signaled the death of his father.
The other campers just looked on in shock at what they had just witnessed. However their shock was short lived when Darius snapped them out of it when he pointed out just what was now coming at them "With those Pteranodons loose, we're sitting ducks out here!" he shouts pointing towards the swarm of flying reptiles pouring out of the breached Aviary and filling the sky.
Hearing this causes Kenji's eyes to widen "We can use the Kayak River! The entrance is near here and it goes underground, beneath the ridge and will lead us right to the main park!" he says quickly causing the others eyes to widen.
"Then that's where we need to be now, let's go!" Darius yells before they all start running for their lives in the direction of the Kayak River attraction following Kenji's lead as he knows the way.
Yaz takes a look behind her as she runs to see how far the Pteranodons are only for her eyes to widen in shock as she sees Naruto still kneeling on the ground looking towards the Aviary having not moved "Naruto!" she yells before turning around and running back sliding to a stop next to him. The girl places a hand on his shoulder and gives him a shake "C'mon Naruto we need to go!" she says frantically as the swarm gets closer and closer only for him not to say anything or move.
The athletic girl moves in front of Naruto kneeling down so that she is eye level with him and her eyes widen as she sees the dull look in his eyes that reminded her of the look some characters would get in the anime she would watch occasionally while she ran on her treadmill at home. Putting both her hands on his shoulders Yaz gave him another shake "Naruto…he's gone" she says softly not wanting to hurt the blonde anymore than he already was given what he just witnessed.
Still Yaz got no response from the blonde and she could hear the squawks and screeches of the Pteranodon swarm getting louder and louder as the got closer "Please Naruto we need you…Your dad wouldn't want to you to throw your life away like this" she pleaded pulling the teen into a hug his chin resting on her shoulder as tears welled in the corners of her eyes.
"...Yaz?" a soft voice said causing her eyes to widen before she pulled back to see Naruto staring at her, the look in his eyes gone, causing her to let out a quiet sob and smile.
"About time blondie you had me worried" she tried joking, wiping at the corners of her eyes as she stood up with Naruto also getting up.
"I'm sorry" he said quietly, not knowing what else to say at the moment.
"Don't worry about but right now we need to move," Yaz says, getting a nod from Naruto as he spots the swarm of Pteranodons that are mere seconds from reaching them as the two begin running to catch up with the others.
Due to the athletic nature of the both of them Naruto and Yaz manage to quickly catch up to the rest of the fleeing campers and Bumpy though the Pteranodon swarm reaches the group at the same time they do. The campers continue running for their lives ducking to avoid several of the flying reptiles that dive bomb the campers narrowly avoiding the spear-like beaks of the animals.
However one of the Pteranodons tries a different approach and instead of trying to spear the campers it tries diving down and grabbing one of them with its talons. Unfortunately the animal is successful in its attempt and manages to snatch Yaz by her shoulders digging its talons into her jacket, squawking as it begins flapping its wings and lifting her off the ground.
"AHH!" Yasmina screaming in terror as her feet left the ground and she began being lifted up into the air causing the others to look in horror as she started to be lifted higher and higher into the air already 10 feet off the ground.
"LET HER GO YOU BASTARD!" Naruto roars in rage, his face twisted in fury as he leaps into the air, his right arm cocked back. The others are in shock as they witness the blonde jump 15 feet in the air. Naruto soon reaches eye level with the Pteranodon and brings his right arm forward in a bone breakingly brutal punch to the animals head. A sickening crack and pop is heard as the blondes fist meets flesh and bone causing the animal's head to snap to the side a massive dent in it. The Pteranodon twitches for a split second before it loses its grip on Yaz the girl letting out a yelp as she begins to plummet back to the ground only to be pulled into a bridal carry by Naruto as he had started his own descent back to the ground. The two teens land on the ground and Naruto looks down at Yaz still in his arms to see she is alright. Seconds afterwards the body of the Pteranodon crashes to the ground behind them a large fist shaped dent noticeably caving in the side of the animals head and given how the animal wasn't moving it was safe to say it was dead. Naruto then resumes running towards the rest of the group, Yaz still in his arms much to her silent embarrassment given the slight flush on her cheeks as she lays in his arms.
The campers continued running narrowly avoiding more swooping Pteranodons though luckily for them none of the flying reptiles tried a repeat of their dead companions action. Thankfully they soon reached the cave-like opening that led to the Kayak River and continued running inside with the vast majority of the Pteranodon swarm not pursuing them into the cave. However unluckily for them a sole Pteranodon decided to break from the flock and chase after them.
Reaching the open door to the area that housed the Kayak River, Kenji runs through and quickly turns to look at the rest of the group "C'mon hurry up!" he yells to the rest of the group as Sammy followed Brooklynn make it into the area as well.
Due to having to usher a panicking Bumpy along Ben and Darius lag behind a bit which results in Naruto passing by them Yaz still in his arms and the two reaching the door with the others. Setting Yaz down and turning around to look at Darius, Ben, and Bumpy still running towards them with the Pteranodon closing fast, the blonde curses and reaches for his knife, pulling it out and throwing it towards them much to their shock. The knife sails through the air whizzing between the two boys and slams into the Pteranodon stabbing into the flying reptile's right shoulder, sending it crashing to the ground in a screech of pain.
The Pteranodon crashing to the ground gives Ben, Darius, and Bumpy just enough time to make it to and through the door prompting Kenji to slam it shut just as the flying reptile start to get back on its feet letting out a screech of fury the knife still embedded in its shoulder.
The two boys pant heavily their hands on their knees as they try to catch their breath before Darius looks up at Naruto "Thanks for the save though cutting it a little close weren't you" the boy says with a slight grin poking fun at how close the knife sailed between him and Ben.
Naruto just chuckles at this "No big deal" he says with a shrug of his shoulders "Sucks I lost my knife though really hope that doesn't come back and bite me in the ass" he adds his gaze turning serious as while the knife wasn't that useful against larger dinos it was still a useful tool.
Suddenly an intercom came to life and an automated message started " Welcome to Jurassic World River Adventures. Prepare yourselves for the wonder of the underground river" it announced in a female voice.
"I thought you said this was the Kayak River? Don't tell me you lead us to the wrong place!" Brooklynn asks with a raised eyebrow looking at Kenji causing the others to do the same.
"Hey it's cool I always called it the Kayak River given how you are in kayaks but this is the place I swear!" Kenji says defensively.
"Uh-huh right…Naruto are we in the right place?" Brooklynn asks the blonde given he is the one that has spent the most time on the island given he has lived on it for over a decade.
"Yeah we're in the right place as this does lead right to the main area of the park. It comes out not from Main Street on the eastern side near the Mosasaur Lagoon. However I personally have never been on this attraction so i have no idea what's in here, but given how people ride kayaks I'm sure it's nothing dangerous" Naruto says confirming that Kenji did in fact lead the group to the right place and that it leads to near Main Street where they will hopefully be saved.
"Wait, so you're saying we could end up in the Mosasaur Lagoon?" Ben asks fearfully, not liking the idea of possibly ending up there.
"No I said it comes out near the Mosasaur Lagoon there is no way we could end up there from here. I mean it makes no sense that the Kayak Adventure would be connected to the Mosasaur Lagoon in anyway" Naruto states putting the timid boy's fears at ease.
The campers then walk over to the nearby dock where all the Kayaks are located as the intercom comes to life again announcing the safety rules for the ride in that life jackets must be worn at all times and that only two people were allowed per kayak.
"Brooklynn and I call the CKK" Kenji says with a grin standing next to said girl as they both put on life jackets.
"CKK?" Brooklynn asks with a raised eyebrow at the term.
"It stands for Cool Kids Kayak" Kenji responds, taking his sunglasses out and putting them on causing the girl to just shake her head in annoyance.
"I thought CKK stood for cock?" Naruto asks with a raised eyebrow getting some snickers from the others while Kenji just lowers his head in embarrassment after getting into the kayak with Brooklynn sitting in the seat behind him.
"Ben and Bumpy can go in this one with me" Darius begins to say standing next to said boy and baby Ankylosaurus.
"I'll go with them!" Yaz suddenly says, surprising Darius and the others as she starts walking over to the boys brushing her shoulder past Sammy.
"Um okay then…I just assumed you were going to be riding with Naruto" Darius points out not having an issue with riding with Sammy or Naruto.
Yaz's eyes widened at this as in her haste to make sure she didn't end up in the same kayak as Sammy she had completely forgotten about Naruto. Looking back at the blonde she saw him have a small smile on his face "Actually if it's alright I would sort of like to ride alone at the moment given everything that just happened" he says his smile fading as he thinks back on having just watched his dad die.
"Alright so Yaz is with Ben and Bumpy, I will go with Sammy, Kenji and Brooklynn are already in their kayak, and Naruto is riding by himself" Darius says heading towards one of the kayaks with Sammy following behind him quietly given she was still down from the fallout of her secret being revealed.
The campers all got situated in their kayaks with Naruto sitting in the front kayak, Ben and Yaz in the one behind him with Yaz in the back after they struggled a bit to get Bumpy into the boat. Following them was Kenji, and Brooklynn in their kayak, and in the last one was Sammy and Darius with Darus in the back seat. After they were all situated they began paddling their way down the tunnel and hopefully to safety finally.

The two counselors were extremely worried as they walked down one of the hallways in the main operations building. They hadn't heard anything from the campers since they initially got off the radio with them and that had them on edge especially when combined with the parkwide alarm going off and how workers were running around frantically everywhere.
"Darius? Naruto? Please somebody come in" Roxie pleaded into the radio only to get silence for a response "Still nothing" she says with a sigh.
"Look there is an ACU tablet moving away from a ACU Van out by the Aviary that's only a short ways from where the campers would have to pass by on their way here given their last position" Dave says pointing at the tablet in his hands which was displaying a map with a red dot on it moving away from a stationary red dot.
"That must be them and if the stationary dot is the van then something must have happened that forced them to abandon it. We need to get to them" Roxie says before pressing the button on her radio "HQ this is Roxie from Camp Cretaceous do you copy?" she says into the radio.
"Who?-This frequency is for emergencies only!" A woman's voice is heard saying in response over the radio sounding less than pleased.
"This is an emergency! We have seven kids stranded outside the containment zone in sector 4 near the Aviary and-" Roxie begins to desperately say before Dave grabs the radio.
"Hey Dave here, sounds like you guys got your hands full over there. So how about this if you let us borrow a park vehicle we can just go get the kids ourselves-" he says only for the woman to cut him off.
"No we can't just let you take a park vehicle! Yours is not the only emergency happening right now. What I don't know, they say they are from the Camp?" the woman says before talking to someone on her end of the radio.
"We don't have time for this clear the line!" a males voice is heard saying before the line goes dead.
"...They hung up on me? What the hell they hung up on me and that so sounded like that asshole Hoskins on the other hand" Dave says in a rare display of anger at not only being denied a vehicle to gave save the kids but also being hung up on, topped with Hoskins apparently being the one that order the lady to hang up.
"If that was Hoskins it makes sense why he would tell that woman to hang up. Odds are he could be aware that Naruto is among the group of kids out there and that's why he made her hang up given how he has always disliked Naruto" Roxie said as given hoe connected the man was in the park he likely knew about the camp, who was in it, and that they had been assigned as the counselors. That being the case there is no way he didn't know the lady was talking about Camp Cretaceous when she mentioned the camp. Shaking the thought from her head Roxie grabbed Dave's arm "If things are anywhere near as bad as we think they are then there is no way rescuing Seven Teenagers in all this chaos is going to be their top priority even if Naruto is among them. Especially since it seems like something must have happened to Mr. Masrani if Hoskins is in control" Roxie says determinedly.
"So what are we gonna do? Hijack a park vehicle and go tearing across the island with dinosaurs free everywhere and rescue the kids?" Dave asks before paling as he sees Roxie smirk.
A few minutes later the two are in one of the park's six-wheeled trucks barreling down the road as two workers chase after them "HEY STOP YOU TWO DONT HAVE AUTHORIZATION!" the man yells
Dave turns his head from watching the two workers chase them for a few more feet before giving up to look at Roxie who is in the driver's seat tightly gripping the wheel with a determined look on her face "...I think you have spent too much time with Naruto" he comments as this was exactly something the blonde would and had done before…he should know as he was with the blonde when he pulled said stunt.
"Oh be quiet David desperate times call for desperate measures now hang on!" Roxie says before shifting to a higher gear and pushing the pedal to the metal as the truck speeds down the dirt road forcing Dave to grab one of the panic handles.
"Yep totally spent too much time with Naruto!" The man thinks to himself as he forces himself to swallow down some bile that rose up into his throat on account of Roxie whipping the truck around a corner at high speed kicking up a cloud of dust as they drifted.
(With the Campers)
The campers were leisurely paddling down the underground river looking all around them at the slightly illuminated tunnel. Suddenly Kenji and Brooklynn's kayak bumped into Yaz and Ben's as they passed by causing the girl to narrow her eyes and snap at them "Watch it".
Kenji just tilts his head up and grins with his sunglasses still on "CKK as the right of way, sorry I don't make the rules" he says as they pass by the other two falling in behind Naruto on his kayak.
"You're seriously still calling it Cock" Yaz asks with a smirk on her face.
"IT DOESN'T MEAN THAT!" Kenji yells back with a huff causing the girl to snicker as she goes back to paddling with Ben.
"Hey uh is it me or is the cave getting bigger…and brighter?" Brooklynn asks, looking ahead as the cave was in fact getting bigger and brighter as pink glowing moss or algae covered the walls and ceiling of the cave as it opened up into a larger cavern that was illuminated by it revealing a small underground waterfall that poured into the attraction river.
The campers looked on in awe at the breathtakingly beautiful scene as they continued paddling slowly. However back on Darius and Sammy's kayak said girl wasn't paddling and instead looked sadly at the back of Yasmina in the kayak in front of her.
As the campers paddled out of the waterfall cavern Kenji looked around "Even with the glowy stuff it's really dark in here" he states.
Brooklynn just sighs as she reaches up and pulls his sunglasses off causing him to look back at her before grabbing them and putting them back on "I could have used my phone as a flashlight if Sammy hadn't broken it" the girl states bitterly before adding "Obviously if we had my phone we wouldn't be here at all"
"Hey will you stop harshing the mellow of the CKK?" Kenji asks looking back over his shoulder at her.
"Ugh how many times are you going to say CKK?" Brooklynn asks with a grimace.
"CKK? Why would you like me to stop saying CKK? CKK CKK CKK-CoughCockCough-Cock Cock Cock…Dammit Naruto!" Kenji says before realizing what he started saying after Naruto faked a cough and said cock. Meanwhile said boy just laughed from up front in his kayak before going quiet again.
"Your acting like this doesn't affect you as well. We're here because of her" Brooklynn says, pointing out her view on the events that happened.
"Or maybe something else would have happened and we would still be stuck here or hell maybe we would be dead. I mean look at it this way we survived the first attack by the Indominus because we weren't at camp due to all of us getting knocked out when we fell from the zipline. If that didn't happen we could have very well ended up making it back to camp just in time for the Indominus to come barging in and trash it thus killing us all. Look I get it you're mad at Sammy heck I am kinda mad at her too, but that doesn't get us outta here. It just makes more people mad which could lead to us not being observant and thus getting nomed by a dino or something. Hell put yourself in her shoes and think is there honestly anything you could say that would make her feel worse than she already is? Honestly take a page out of Naruto's book, I mean she spied for the company that killed his mom and yet he is looking past it and still making sure she gets out of here alive like the rest of us. Take it from someone who also lost their mom that's not something done easily, and at least she didn't spy for her own gain but to save her family" Kenji says explaining his thoughts on the whole matter making Brooklynn's eyes widen before she turns back and looks at Sammy who is still sitting sadly in hers and Darius's kayak.
Said cowgirl could feel the look Darius was giving her from his seat behind her causing her to sigh "Just ask Darius" she says, sounding emotionally tired.
"It's just that you talk so much about your ranch and your family…But your family sent you here to break the law" he says causing her eyes to widen.
Looking back over her shoulder she gives Darius a glare much to the boy's surprise as he had never seen her look mad before in the several days they had been at camp "Don't, Darius. You don't know anything about my family." she says harshly.
"I know they put you in harm's way when they sent you to spy on the park. How can you still defend them?" Darius counters.
Sammy is quiet for a moment before softly saying "Because they didn't send me. They basically told Mantah Corp to piss off, and that they'd rather lose everything than use me like that. I was the one that contacted the Mantah Corp agen after he left. I agreed to come here, my family didn't even know what I was planning until I was on the ferry. Smashing Brooklynn's phone was an accident but she's right this is all my fault" she says before turning back to face the front of the Kayak.
"I still don't see why-" Darius begins to say only for Sammy to cut him off "If your family was in trouble wouldn't you do anything in your power to help or save them?" she says causing his eyes to widen.
Meanwhile over in Yaz and Ben's kayak said girl let out a groan of frustration "Ben would you please put down that overgrown turtle and help paddle?" She snaps irritated that the boy was fussing over Bumpy instead of helping her paddle.
"I think Bumpy's seasick" Ben says looking over Bumpy who was wobbling back and forth a bit while groaning.
"I think you need to help me paddle!" Yaz snaps once more.
"I think…we both need to prepare for dino-vomit!" the boy says gulping as the baby Ankylosaur's groaning gets louder.
"Uh guys not to interrupt but should the Algae be moving?" Sammy asks looking ahead where on one side of the riverbank the algae seemed to be almost moving.
Suddenly some of the algae dimmed while another section got brighter to reveal a pair of Parasaurolophus with glowing backs and head crests grazing. The dinosaurs let out a grunt before looking at the campers as they floated by.
"Don't panic guys, they are Herbivores!" Darius yells with a wide grin on his face as a result of the amazing sight.
"We don't need to panic but will still need to be careful. Just because they won't eat us doesn't mean they won't trample or down us if we spook them…or have you forgotten the whole "Stampede" incident Darius" Naruto says from the front of the group looking back at the others as he slowly paddles his kayak.
"Right right sorry…But this is unbelievable Dr. Wu must have added the bioluminescent gene to them" Darius says in awe as he looks at the two glowing herbivores.
"What do you mean I insulted Bumpy?" Yaz asks in frustration.
"You called her a turtle and now she is upset!" Ben says as Bumpy paces back and forth in a circle while grunting on the front of the kayak.
"Dammit Ben dinosaurs can't understand english!" Yaz yells her frustration mounting at how ridiculous the boy was being.
"Well I'm glad she can't as there have been several unkind things said about her" Ben says gently rubbing Bumpys head.
"Not true! There are some dinosaurs that can understand english, remember I mentioned Blue and the other raptors!" Naruto yells back chiming into the conversation.
Hearing this causes Yasmina's eye to twitch before she sighs "Okay okay I am sorry Bumpy" he says only for Bumpy to start squealing loudly.
"Oh great! Now you made it worse" Ben says rubbing the squealing dinosaur's head trying to calm her down.
"Yep this is the kayak I picked. I could have chosen to ride with Naruto but no I just had to jump the gun and wind up stuck in this one" Yaz says facepalming with a heavy sigh.
Bumpy's squealing drew the attention of the Parasaurolophus causing them to enter the river and wade over to the campers. Upon reaching the campers they burst from the water standing next to the kayaks bumping them slightly and nearly tipping Darius and Sammy's over. Just then two more Parasaurolophus burst from beneath the water behind the campers boxing them in and jolting the Kayaks even more.
Fearing the herbivores would tip the kayaks over spilling the campers into the water Naruto gently reached up to the snout of one of the Parasaurs and turned it to look him in the eye "Go on" he stated calmly yet firmly glaring lightly at the herbivore but without hostile intent. The dino looked him in the eye for a few moments longer before turning its head to look further down the tunnel. It stares down into the darkness for a few moments before letting out a loud bellow before it and the other three Parasaurs flee going back the way the campers just came from.
The campers look back at the fleeing dinosaurs for a moment as they drift further down the tunnel, the surroundings getting darker as they do so "Uh cool kids to the rest of you…where are you?" Kenji asks having trouble seeing them given how dark it had gotten.
"We're still behind you guys Kenji!" Darius shouts from said spot behind them.
"And I am still in front of all of you," Naruto says from the front still.
"Did something scare the Parasaurolophus?" Darius asks wondering why the dinosaurs bolted all of a sudden after staring ahead.
"No idea maybe or maybe they just decided to head back no telling until we get further down given how dark it is" Naruto answers back not liking the prospects of possibly coming across a Carnivore while they could barely see and were sitting ducks in the kayaks.
"Um guys if all of us have stopped paddling then why are we not only still moving but also picking up speed?" Sammy asks in a slightly frightened tone causing the others eyes to widen as they start looking around.
"Oh shit" Naruto says after looking ahead and seeing a fork in the river with one side having a large busted metal gate right in front of a large open tube in which massive amounts of the river's water were being diverted to and rushing down into a inky black dark abyss "EVERYONE NEEDS TO PADDLE LIKE HELL NOW! WE ARE BEING PULLED INTO A DIFFERENT TUNNEL!" he yells before grabbing his paddle and doing just that struggling against the strong current given he is the closest to the tunnel.
The other campers quickly grabbed their paddles and started paddling as hard as they could but the current was too strong and soon enough they started passing the point of no return one by one now heading right for the tunnel.
"Sonuva Biiittttccchhh!" Naruto yells as his kayak and himself was pulled down the dark tunnel quickly followed by the other kayaks one by one the campers letting out screams of fright as they disappeared into the dark unknown.
After nearly a minute of intense terror as the plummeted through the pitch black darkness of the pipe the campers and kayaks shout out one by one into daylight finding themselves in a massive outdoor lagoon with bleachers off in the distance. As their eyes adjusted to the sudden bright light they took in their surroundings causing Naruto and Kenji's eyes to widen in horror.
"Oh you have to be fucking kidding me" Naruto whsipers out in terror.
"We're okay We're okay" Ben says with a bright smile and a chuckle having not heard Naruto.
"Oh crap" Kenji gasps in fear.
"Why did you gasp? That didn't sound like a good gasp!" Ben says in a fearful tone not liking the possible implications behind the gasp.
"He gasped because we are in possibly the worst place we could possibly be on this entire island…We're in the Mosasaurus Lagoon" Naruto says quietly, his eyes still wide in fear. The blonde's statement causes the other campers eyes to fly open in horror at just what that means.
They all let out a little gasp as they heard a low growling and the sounds of water breaking behind them just in time to see part of the massive marine reptile's tail come out of the water before sinking back down below the surface.
"Dammit Naruto you said.." Brooklyn begins to say only for Naruto to cut her off "Brooklynn now is not the time! and I swear if you say what I think you want to say I am peacing the fuck out and going for a swim!" He harshly whispers to the girl before the sound of something massive moving through the water is heard and the campers see the back of the Mosasaur as it starts swimming around them.
"It's circling, testing us like a shark would. It knows there are intruders in its domain so it's investigating us to determine if we're a threat to it before it gets the confidence to well…" Brooklynn says with a gulp before the Mosasaur is heard snarling under the water.
"Okay we need to very slowly and very carefully paddle to the edge of the lagoon where the spectator stands are as there is a ladder there we can use to get out. Do not panic, do not make any sudden moves, and do not splash" Naruto says before he slowly and carefully dips his paddle into the water making sure not to splash and begins paddling at an agonizingly slow pace towards the safety of the lagoon edge. The other campers very carefully and cautiously begin to follow his actions as they slowly make their way towards the stands.
For what felt like hours but was really barely a minute they made their way towards the safety of the ladder only to suddenly stop when Naruto holds his fist up in the air signaling them stop. The campers held their breath as the massive shape of the Mosasaur passed underneath their tiny kayaks before it let out a loud growl. The sudden growl causes Naruto's eyes to widen in horror "PADDLE LIKE HELL!" he screams, shocking the others as they all begin frantically paddling towards the ladder as the Mosasurarus begins circling back around towards them.
The campers gave it their all paddling for their lives, the muscles in their arms burning from the strain. Naruto passes by the cement pole that was part of the Mosasaurs feeding cable as he used all his strength to paddle his kayak sailing through the water faster than all the others. Reaching the ladder he jumped off his kayak and quickly climbed it before standing on the showmans pier watching the others paddle "C'mon c'mon hurry" he repeated to himself as he watched the others paddle.
Kenji and Brooklynn passed by the feeding pole next and soon after reached the ladder both scrambling up it to safety. Yaz and Ben reached the feeding pole next, however the girl looked behind her to see Darius and Sammy trailing behind them struggling to paddle fast enough "They won't make it" she whispers as she sees the back of the Mosasaur sail through the water behind them.
Realizing this Yaz makes a decision and shifts to paddling on the same side of the kayak as Ben making them go near the pole "Yaz what are you doing?!" the boy yells in shock as they come up to the pole which has a small steel platform ring at the bottom of it for support.
"Whatever you do, don't stop paddling!" she says getting out of the kayak taking her paddle with her and up onto the platform before using the paddle to shove the kayak away towards the stands "Just keep paddling!" she yells before turning her attention back towards Darius and Sammy who were still struggling to paddle the Mosasaurs circling back towards them.
Back on the stage platform Naruto's eyes widen in fear as he Yaz's stunt when Kenji and Brooklynn run up beside him as down below Ben helps Bumpy out of the Kayak and up the ladder to safety.
Back in their kayak Darius breathes heavily as he frantically paddles Sammy right in front of him doing the same "Don't look back Sammy just keep paddling!" he yells out.
"I'm trying Darius…" she says tiredly feeling exhausted and her arms feeling as though they would fall off when she spots Yaz standing on the platform "What's Yaz doing?" she asks as the two finally pass the pole.
Yaz watches as the Mosasaur pulls up in line behind the two and starts swimming closer to the surface of the water, its back and top of its head fully exposed as it zeroes in on the two campers paddling for their lives. Suddenly it dives down preparing to swim back up from below to attack when Yaz takes her paddle and starts smacking the pole with it sending vibrations down into the water "Hey over here!" she yells trying to get the beast's attention.
The girl's gamble pays off as down below the surface the mosasaur had just lined itself up for its attack run on Darius and Sammy in which it would have swallowed them whole when it gets distracted by the noise and vibrations breaking off its attack.
"Yes!" Yaz yells triumphantly as she sees the massive shape of the marine reptile break off and circle back around towards the pole she is standing on. Seeing this Darius and Sammy use every last bit of remaining strength they had to frantically paddle to the ladder and safety.
Up on the stage platform Kenji, Brooklynn, and Ben let out a cheer at this and Yaz does the same from where she is but it quickly dies when she sees the head of the Mosasaur surface and look directly at her its eyes looking right at her "I did not think this through" the girl mutters in absolute terror.
"We gotta do something" Brooklynn says from her spot as she watches the Mosasaur stare down Yaz before it submerges underwater again.
"Kenji go over to the feeding console and activate the cable winch! Send it out ot Yaz so she can grab onto it and we can bring her back here!" Naruto yells before running back towards the stand and then further down the side of the lagoon away from everyone.
"Okay but the chain won't reach her in time and where are you going!" Kenji yells in response as he runs over to the console and activates it, sending the winch and chain out towards Yaz via the feeding cable.
"To buy Yaz some time!" Naruto yells back as he runs further away. The blonde runs to the end of the spectator stands area and faces the lagoon. Walking over to the safety railing he proceeds to kick it several times with all his strength heavily denting the metal before it snaps. Reaching down the blonde proceeds to slice open his right hand on the jagged sharp metal wincing as he does so before making a fist and causing his blood to drip into the lagoon.
The mosasaur smelling the blood breaks off its attack run on Yaz heading towards the source before bursting out of the water and lands its upper body on the spectator stands crushing the fence and most of the bleachers under her immense wait. The mosasaur snaps her jaws several times narrowly missing Naruto who had jumped back when he saw her breach "That's right Mona you fat ugly bitch come and get me!" he yells taunting her and keeping her attention on him all the while try to avoid her massive jaws.
"He is crazy!" Ben yells in shock as the campers watch Naruto's attempt to "Buy Time" speechless at what they are seeing.
Yaz watches from her spot her heart clenching everytime she sees Naruto narrowly avoid the marine reptile's massive jaws. The last thing she wanted was her spontaneous act to possibly end up getting the blonde killed "GRAB THE CHAIN!" She hears Kenji yell before her gaze tears away from Naruto still managing to avoid certain death and to the chain in front of her which she jumps for and grabs it swinging back and forth as it starts to rise up.
"Unfortunately this swinging causes the bottom of the chain to collide with the pole sending a vibration through the water which the Mosasaur senses with the lower half of its body that's still in said water. The beast ceases her attempts at seizing the prey in front of her and slides back into the water before diving down.
Seeing this Naruto curses "Dammit Mona you bitch get the fuck back here!" he yells running to the edge of the lagoon and dripping more of his blood into the water to try and entice her back.
However this is fruitless as the mosasaur focuses on its new target diving down preparing her attack while up above dangling from the chain for her life Yaz watches the shadow of the beast. "Hurry up hurry up hurry up!" the girl pleads in terror to the winch as it carries her over the water and towards the safety of the spectator stands.
"YAZ SWING BACK AND FORTH IT WILL THROW OFF HER AIM!" Naruto yells at the top of his lungs.
Hearing the advice Yaz begins to swing back and forth on the chain as she gets closer and closer to safety yet at the same time the shadow of the mosasaur gets closer and closer to her.
"She's not going to make it" Kenji says in realization right before the mosasaur bursts out of the water, its jaws open wide and teeth ready to tear the girl apart.
Yaz gives one last desperate swing forward as the jaws of death come closer to her and that is her saving grace as the beast misses her by mere inches and instead chomps down on the cable supporting the winch. The weight of the beast falling back into the water snaps the cable with ease resulting in Yaz swinging forward on the chain like it was a tree vine towards the safety of the spectator stands. However unknown to her the ACU Tablet that she had stored in the back straps of her life jacket when she put it on back in the tunnel slips out and falls into the lagoon sinking below the water. The girl lets out a yell as she swings through the air and as she nears the safety of the stands realizes the cable won't make it so she lets go launching herself to safety. However when she lands she does so on her left leg initially and as a result all her weight lands on her left ankle and a pop is heard as she crumbles to the ground clutching her leg in pain.
The others seeing this rush over in worry with Naruto reaching her first despite having been the farthest away "I'm alright…I think" Yaz says with a pained expression as she gingerly touches her ankle only to wince.
"Um also where did everyone go?" Ben asks as everyone takes a moment to look around them and are shocked that there is literally no one else around.

The two counselors had driven like a bat outta hell through the jungle to reach the entrance of the Kayak Adventure thinking the kids would take shelter there. But after having arrived and not seen the kids anywhere they had looked at their ACU table to find the kids in "Aquatic Area One" which filled them with terror as that wa the Mosasaurus Lagoon.
With this info that had immediately got back in the truck and Roxie had started driving even faster than she had before through the jungle easily hitting speeds of 60 mph which was way above the allowed speed for the jungle roads and had nearly flipped them over at least twice when going around a couple sharp turns.
"Rox it's gone the kid's signal is gone!" Dave suddenly says as he had been keeping his eyes glued to their tablet.
"It's probably just a glitch reboot the system" Roxie responds not taking her eyes off the dirt road.
"Come on, come on, please give me something!" Dave says to himself before jerking forward as Roxie slams on the brakes to avoid hitting the leg of a Brachiosaurus that had stepped out into the road.
"Here let me check" Roxie says taking the table and pressing the screen several times before her eyes widen. "It's working…their signal just stopped" she says in a devastated tone as the last broadcast of the signal was still in the Mosasaur Lagoon. The counselors just sit in their truck stewing in their failure at having saved the kids.
(With the Campers)
The campers had decided to take a moment to finally rest and were sitting or standing in various parts of the spectator stands as the sun began to set. Naruto was down with Yasmina lightly touching her ankle to see where it hurt the most and trying to figure out just how bad her injury was.
Yaz noticed the blood still dripping from his right hand that he had sliced open to save her and grabbing a section of her exposed lavender colored shirt she had on under her jacket she tore a strip of and handed held it out to him "Here you can use this to wrap your hand…after all you did injure it to save me" she says blushing slightly.
Naruto's eyes widen before he smiles softly "Thanks though might have a little trouble wrapping it with one hand" he jokes with a lopsided grin.
The corny reark causes Yaz to let out a snort of laughter before she proceeds to wrap the strip of cloth around his hand a couple times before tying it tightly with the knot resting atop his hand. The girl's fingers linger a bit on his hand after her task is complete before they hear someone walk up behind them causing her to pull them back.
"Um I just wanted to say thank you for saving us…for saving me" Sammy says as she goes to take a seat next to Yaz.
"Stop!" the track star snaps before looking at Naruto "Can you help me up?" she asks before he helps her to her feet putting her arm over his neck to help support your as she looks at Sammy with a glare "We may need each other to stay alive but that doesn't make us friends again, because we're not and we never will be" she says in a cold tone before she has Naruto help her limp away.
Sammy just sits there sadly as she starts to think about how she ruined her friendship with Yaz over her lies when she hears someone ask "You okay?" and turns to see Brooklynn standing next to her.
"Honestly?...No I am not doing okay" Sammy says softly pulling her knees up to her chin and resting it on them.
"Yeah dumb question…sorry about that" Brooklynn says as she takes a seat next to Sammy "Look I don't know her that well but I think if you give Yaz some space, she'll come around…maybe? Honestly I don't know as IRL friendships are something I have never really been good with but sounds right yeah?" she says trying to comfort the girl as best she could.
"Why are you being so nice to me?" Sammy asks finding it odd that the girl was apparently doing that given how Sammy had stolen and accidentally broken her phone.
"Because I talked to Kenji and…he's right" Brooklynn says before grimacing "Ugh that feels so wrong to say almost like the universe itself is going to collapse from it. That being said, obviously never ever repeat that" the pink haired girl says before sighing "Listen I've done my fair share of selfish things. Hell the only reason I knew you were up to something was because I was also snooping where I didn't belong though unlike you who did it to save her family I did it to impress some angry internet randos" Brooklynn reveals causing Sammy's eyes to widen "Plus when we get out of here, how about you give me an exclusive on all the juciry and dirty details of you spying for Mantah Corp so we can bring those jerks down. Whatdya say "Brooklynn unboxes a conspiracy!" sounds catchy huh?" she says with a grin before extending her hand to Sammy "So deal?" she asks with a kind smile.
Sammy laughs at the girls antics for a second before accepting the girls hand "Deal" she says with a small smile.
Kenji was munching on a bucket of leftover popcorn he had found in the spectator stands as he walks up to stand next to Darius who was looking out over the lagoon as the sun set and some Pteranodons flew over it. "So not to be a downer but Operation: Find People to Help us is currently looking like a bust so what's the plan?" he asks.
"Why are you asking me? Naruto is the leader." Darius asks, giving the older teen a side glance.
"Well I thought about asking him but he seems to be a bit busy at the moment" Kenji says before discreetly pointing to the bottom of the stands in front of them where Naruto was tending to Yaz by softly massaging her ankle to try and keep any swelling down. "So I figured since your SIC I would ask you" he says with a shrug finishing off his popcorn.
"Honestly I don't know…You know my dad talked about coming here for years, and here we are" Darius says calmly, not taking his gaze off of the scenery in front of him.
"Yep Welcome to Jurassic World" Kenji says simply as the wind blows some papers around and the Pteranodons fling in the distance screech. The teen goes to say something else but is cut off when a very loud alarm klaxon starts up, its warning sound filling the air and catching the attention of all the campers.

Quick End Note: So here we have Chapter 3 which covers Season 1 Episode 6 "Welcome to Jurassic World" please be sure to leave a review and tell me what you think especially regarding the death scene as that is something I really worked hard to try and get right and would like to know everyone's thoughts on how it turned out.
Also I looked over and thought about the responses regarding what you all would like to see regarding Chapters and I think I will likely flip flop between Options B and C depending on the situation…Like for example I think I might Combine Episodes 7 and 8 which round out Season 1 into a single chapter namely chapter 4 meaning that the chapter will be quite long and thus likely take us longer to write than this one did.
