AN: Hey everyone back with another chapter. Thanks for all the positive reception the last chapter got it really helps pump out more chapters and keep the muse roaring.

On a side note did anyone else see the trailer for the New Episode of Camp Cretaceous coming out later in November…Granted it's only a single episode and an Interactive one at that but still looks pretty interesting and might cover it in the story given how it seems like it takes place between Season 2 and 3.

Now before this chapter starts I have a bit of a challenge for everyone…That challenge is to try and get this story to at least 400 Favs and Follows. As of writing this it's currently at 354 and 370 respectively so let's see if we can bump that up a bit what you all say…So spread the word of this story's existence, and hopefully also spread the idea of Naruto x Camp Cretaceous or Jurassic Park stories in general.

However I will say that this little challenge being completed or not will in no way have any effect in how often/frequently I update this story it's just a fun little thing I wanna do. I for one personally hate when Authors lock updates behind Fav, Follow, or Review goals and will NEVER do it myself.

Anyway let's get the chapter started…

A pair of Baryonynx, one with tannish brown coloring, the other a matted gray with a blue mark around its eye, leap over a log and sniff the air before letting out a screech. Hearing a screech in response off in the distance they turn their attention that way before running off into the jungle towards the sound.

Meanwhile in a different part of the jungle Darius sits up in the branches of a tree looking through a pair of binoculars at a flock of Pteranodons flying around some trees before letting out a sigh. Meanwhile on the ground below the rest of the campers wait in various stages of boredom. Kenji in particular was especially bored and had taken to throwing rocks at the back of the tree that Yaz and Naruto were leaning against.

Over and over the teen tossed rocks at the back of the tree each hitting with a dull thunk until finally Naruto had enough and turned around the tree just in time to catch a rock. The blonde then gave Kenji a deadpan stare before clenching his fist and crushing the rock in his hand causing Kenji's eyes to go wide as he gulped dropping the rock he had been about to throw.

At that moment Darius proceeded to climb down the tree the asian teen was leaning against panting a bit from the climb down.

"Good news?" Sammy asked hopefully as the others noticed Darius reaching the ground.

"Unfortunately the Pteranodons are nesting on the eastern mountains so that's out" Darius says, causing the others to sigh as Sammy pulls out a map of the island from a tote bag she scavenged on main street. As she opens the map there are several areas of it crossed out with red "x's".

"So we can't stay on main street or any of the hotels near it because of Rexy, The mountains, grasslands, and jungle are out due to various other dinosaurs!" Brooklynn says looking at the map over Sammy's shoulder.

"And Kenji's penthouse is out because he is bad at math" Yaz says limping over with a roll of her eyes.

"Hey I didn't think that my dad was serious about changing the locks if I failed Algebra! I mean it's Algebra, when do people even use that in their everyday life" Kenji says in defense of his bad grades.

"Can't believe I am saying this but he kinda has a point" Naruto says with a shrug before sighing "And my place is out because a certain Hybrid that we all know and hate decided in one colossal final fuck you to us to trash it at some point before it was killed" he adds with a sigh pretty annoyed that his and his dad's cabin they had on the island was trashed.

"So to sum it up any place we can stay is unusable, and the whole island is covered with dinos…face it were cooked" Kenji says in an annoyed tone with a scoff.

"We can't give up yet, we activated the EDB. We just need to find somewhere safe to hunker down until rescue arrives" Sammy says trying to stay positive and optimistic.

"Where? It's been like 3 days since we activated the beacon. We are out of options" Yaz points out as it had been days since the whole Main Street incident.

"Actually there is a place I was thinking we could try…However there is a good chance you all won't like it" Naruto says rubbing the back of his neck with a slight chuckle as the others look at him with confused looks. "Anyway let's get headed there just try to keep an open mind" the blonde adds before leading the way back into the jungle towards their destination the others following behind him.

(2 hours later)

"Really? This is the place you thought of?" Kenji said with a deadpan look on his face as the campers stood in front of the ruins of the camp, which looked the same as it had days ago when they had to flee it "Didn't we specifically run away from here to find help in the first place?" the asian teen added.

"Yeah but after thinking about it this place is our best bet for multiple reasons. First of all we have a stream literally feet away that we can use as a freshwater source. Secondly the trees, and nearby mountains will protect us from the majority of potential severe weather and dinosaur attacks…Okay not all dinosaur attacks but the majority of them" Naruto begins to explain before adding the last bit after Brooklynn clears her throat as if to say 'really' "Furthermore this is likely the first place a rescue party would search as it's the most logical place to search first. Finally we even have literally tons of supplies that we can use to not only make a base but also defenses to fortify said base in all the debris lying around" the blonde finishes wrapping up his explanation as to why he chose the ruined camp.

"Naruto has a point, this is our best bet, right Brooklynn?" Darius says agreeing with the blonde leader of the group before turning to look at the social media star.

"What?" said girl responds in confusion, not following why Darius suddenly singled her out.

"With all the videos you have done surely you have made one where you built a shelter or something right?" Darius says as given the vast number of not only videos but also content of said videos statistically there had to be at least one where she built a shelter.

"Darius does have a point as all you literally do is videos" Kenji adds with a shrug.

"Excuse me? I do lots of things other than videos. I have a whole life other than videos!" Brooklyn shouts a little offended by Kenji's comment.

"Name three" Yaz quips with a sly smirk causing Brooklynn's eye to twitch in annoyance.

"Were getting off topic, yes I did help raise a barn in my 'Unboxing Amish Country' video…That was a very annoying and difficult video BTW given their whole anti-technology beliefs" the girl snaps back deflecting Yaz's remark by answering Darius's question.

"Oh I love that one" Sammy says with a smile having liked the video due to it being close to her own life of living on a farm.

"Right and between Brooklynn's knowledge of shelter building, and my own from my survival training we can easily build a base" Naruto said with a nod of his head as shelter building was one of the first things that he had been taught by Owen when he started learning survival skills.

"Well then what are we waiting for? Let's get started clearing this stuff" Yaz says energetically as she hobbles over to some of the debris from the destroyed main building and begins trying to pull a broken board out.

"Yaz maybe it's best if…" Naruto begins to say only to stop and rush in to catch the girl as she slips due to her bad leg and starts to fall backward. With Yaz safely in his arms instead of on the ground he lets out a sigh "Sit this one out" he says finishing what he was saying before she slipped.

The track star's eyes widen at this before she gets out of Naruto's arms and goes to stand up only for her leg to give out resulting in her collapsing to her knees "It's nothing I just wanted to sit down for a moment" she says through a wince and grit teeth due to the pain she is feeling.

"This isn't nothing Yasmina your ankle is still as it's only been a few days since you injured it. Not to mention all that running over said few days when Naruto wasn't carrying you probably didn't help it either" Sammy says kneeling next to the injured girl and looking at her ankle which looks puffy compared to her uninjured one.

"Based on the map there is a symbol that indicates a clinic of some kind is relatively nearby" Darius says looking at the map of the island Sammy had in her tote bag. "We could go see if we can find any medical supplies for your ankle so just rest here" he says, folding the map up and putting it back in the tote bag.

"No! I'm not sitting around while all of you potentially risk your lives by going back out there" Yaz says, protesting the idea heavily given the risk it posed for the others. "I can pull my own weight injury or no injury" she adds before going to get up only to visibly be straining to do so.

"Rest" Naruto says simply as he puts his hand on her shoulder preventing her from getting up.

"Naruto is right you need to rest, as you're going to need that ankle to win gold medals when we get off this island" Sammy says with a kind smile causing Yaz's eyes to widen.

"Right since it's apparent Yaz is staying behind I will stay behind as well to make sure she rests" Kenji suddenly says voicing his thoughts on Yaz's staying behind.

"Can it be someone else? Literally anyone else? I would even take a group of Compies surrounding me" Yaz says with a slight tone of desperation as she was not keen on the idea of Kenji of all people being the one to look after her.

"Don't worry I am staying behind as well. Here's how we do this, Darius, Sammy, and Brooklynn will go check out the potential clinic and look for supplies. Kenji, Yaz, and I will stay behind and while Yaz rests Kenji and I will get started on the shelter" Naruto says getting nods from the others "However Darius, if there is even the slightest hint of danger then you three are to turn back and get back here asap got it?" he adds looking at the younger boy with a slightly stern look showing how serious he was.

"Got it" Darius replies with a nod as he could tell how serious Naruto was about this given the stern looking he was giving him. It made the boy realize that Ben's death was likely still weighing very heavily in the blonde teen's mind given his role as leader and by extension protector of the group. Darius then turned to see Brooklynn picking up three pieces of broken wood before tossing one to him, and another to Sammy to use as makeshift weapons before the three set off on their task. Naruto, Yaz, and Kenji walked them head out into the jungle before losing sight of them due to the dense foliage and trees.

(Darius, Brooklynn, Sammy)

After walking for a while making sure to keep their heads on a swivel so as to not get surprised by any sudden Dino appearances the three noticed the trees thinning indicating they were coming out of the section of jungle they were in.

However something off to the side catches Darius's eye and he heads over to check it out and comes across a tree with a large amount of its bark missing as if something rubbed up against it harshly.

"Hey Darius check this out!" he hears before turning to see Sammy kneeling on the ground looking over something in the grass.

Hurrying over he joins her on his knees as his eyes widen "Wow it's a Stegosaurus plate!" he says recognizing the object in the grass "It's been theorized that they shed them as the grow" he adds running his hand along the discarded plate.

"Like a deer shedding its antlers? Back home around the month of March you can hardly walk ten feet before coming across some shed" Sammy says before smiling "My sisters and I would compete to see who can find the most'' she adds still smiling before it fades as she realizes the reality of her situation and how she may never see them again.

"Technically it's theorized to be more like when a snake sheds its skin. The fleshy internal parts plate grows and grows until it reaches a point where the hard bony casing can't contain it. Then the Stegosaurus would find some way to remove the outer bony layer and the plate would then form a new larger bony layer repeating the process as long as the animal lived" Darius says explaining what he knew of the shedding from reading various theories from paleontologists.

"That would explain the markings on the trees as they look just like the marks deer make when shedding their antlers as rubbing against the trees helps the shedding" Sammy says as she gets up and walks over to the marked tree before running her hand along the marked area.

"This is so cool!" Darius says excitedly with a grin on his face at having possibly confirmed a theory about dinosaurs.

"You know what would be even cooler? If there is dung nearby we could see what this particular Stego had for lunch. Then if we found another pile we could compare them to see if they eat different things when shedding compared to when they aren't" Sammy replies in an excited tone of her own before noticing Brooklynn walking by with a twitching eyebrow indicating her irritation at the delay in finding medical supplies. "Hey Brooklynn, we're going to see if there is any dung nearby, come join us!" the Texan adds with a wave.

"Just keep walking Brooklynn, they can't make you look at or search through shit if you just keep walking" said girl mutters to herself as she continues walking, while Darius and Sammy begin searching the nearby area around the marked tree for dung. The girl takes several more steps before stopping as she hears a strange whirring noise "Uh guys do either of you heat that?" she asks causing Darius and Sammy to run over.

"What's up?" Darius asks looking all around them thinking there might be danger.

"Huh guess it's nothing, maybe a weird bird or something" Brooklyn mutters before continuing to walk with her fellow campers shrugging in confusion before they follow behind her.

(Back at Camp)

Yaz was struggling to pull out a piece of wooden debris from a larger pile when she loses her footing and almost falls to the ground only to find herself in Naruto's arms again "Really Yaz? I mean it's been like 5 minutes since the last time you tried to move some wreckage instead of resting…Do I need to tie you to a tree for you to relax?" Naruto asked with both a deadpan look and a raised eyebrow

"Wow Naruto had no idea you were into that kind of stuff. Should I go somewhere else while you two get kinky?" Kenji shouts with a wide grin from where he is sitting down with his back resting against a tree. The asian teen then let out a yelp as he ducked to avoid a piece of wood that went flying past the top of his head and buried itself into the tree trunk. Kenji gulped in fear at seeing this before turning back to look at the pair who were both blushing profusely with Naruto's arm still outstretched indicating he had thrown the piece of wood "Right got it, don't mind me I will just go back to chillin over here at the chilling tree" he says before going back to relaxing against the tree.

"And that right there is why I am helping as Kenji hasn't done anything to help" Yaz says with a narrowed look over at said teen.

"Not true I helped, my pile is over there" Kenji chimes in before pointing off to the side of Yaz and Naruto where there is a tiny pile of literally two pieces of salvaged wood.

"Kenji, the three of us were supposed to sort through the debris while Darius, Sammy, and Brooklynn search for medical supplies. If you don't do it, and I can't do it, that leaves only Naruto to do it and that's not fair to him." Yaz says thoroughly explaining things to Kenji in hopes of it getting through his thick head.

"Yaz, chill the best things in life are the things you have others do for you. Take my bedroom back home, I have never cleaned it and instead just wait for it to get so bad that my Dad's assistant caves and has one of the maids do it, thus win-win" Kenji replies with a smirk and shrug of his shoulders.

Yaz and Naruto are honestly stunned by this response before Naruto pinches the bridge of his nose with a sigh "Lord give me strength so as to not snap and feed his ass to Rexy" he mutters lowly in exasperation.

"You're actually proud of this?" Yaz asks in disbelief at the rich teens' sheer laziness.

"Well of course or I wouldn't have told you about it. Now enough chit-chat and take a seat and start relaxing as you're bringing down the chill level" Kenji replies with a lazy wave of his hand before leaning back against the tree and closing his eyes.

Yaz just looks at this gaping in shock before she lets out a loud huff in frustration and frees herself from Naruto's hold before hobbling off into the jungle. The sound of her huff causes Kenji to open an eye and watch her go.

"Kenji stay here and sort through the debris for any we can use, and I mean ACTUALLY sort through it. I am going after Yaz to make sure she doesn't further injure herself or get into trouble. Also one more thing Kenji…some of your stuff might have survived camp getting trashed so it might be worth actually sorting through the debris like I said" Naruto says to the teen before walking off after Yaz. Unknown to Naruto, Kenji's eyes opened hearing this as he watched Naruto go before looking towards the debris pile. However unknown to Kenji, Naruto had a smirk on his face as just as he exited the camp clearing he heard Kenji getting up signaling that his little trick to get Kenji to help, ended up working.

(Brooklynn, Darius, and Sammy)

The three teens were trudging through the large foliage of the jungle before coming upon an open area with a fence. However this was not what caught their attention right away as that was the small shed on the outside of the fence upon which there was the image of a pair of snakes wrapped around a staff.

"That's the Caduceus!" Brooklyn shouts excitedly at seeing the sign.

"The Cad-whatta?" Sammy asked in confusion with a raised eyebrow.

"It's the Universal Sign for Medicine, it means there are medical supplies in that shed therefore this must be the clinic!" Brooklynn explains causing the eyes of Sammy and Darius to widen before they all rush over to the shed and begin going through it.

After several minutes the three had moved the crates out of the shed and scattered them on the ground so they could go through them "Let's be quick but thorough about this. Prioritize anything that might help Yaz's ankle and-FOOD!" Darius begins saying as he pries open a crate before being interrupted by Brooklynn's shout.

Rushing over to the girl Sammy and Darius see her kneeling before an open crate full of canned food "Never thought I would be so excited to see canned peaches…and canned peaches…and more canned peaches…Seriously is this thing full of just canned peaches?" Sammy says as she picks up can after can, seeing that all of them are canned peaches.

"Who cares, we finally have something to eat other than soggy pizza and Compy!" Brooklyn replies as she grabs several cans and begins stuffing them into the texan's tote bag. Darius spots a small notebook in the crate as well and after flipping through it and finding it blank decides to pocket it.

The boy then walks over to another crate and pries it open "Look a compression bandage!" he announces causing the girls to run over and see the crate of medical supplies.

"This is perfect for Yaz's ankle!...All 20 feet of it?" Sammy says picking up said roll of bandage and seeing how large it was before letting out a gasp of fear as the three hear a bellow. Slowly and carefully they make their way along the fence towards its opening with their makeshift weapons at the ready only to gasp when they see just what's inside the fenced area.

"What is this place?" Brooklynn asks as they see cage after cage many with a dinosaur locked inside each one.

Walking into the area they approach a cage which houses a Sinoceratops that was lazily lounging before Darius sees two five gallon buckets that are empty inside the cage "Based on the medical supplies this looks like it could be a in the field veterinary station of some kind for herbivores" the boy deduces before realization sinks in "I guess when everyone got evacuated they got forgotten about in the chaos" he adds sadly.

"Just like us…and they're out of food and water" Sammy says somberly as she notices the empty buckets. Hearing some more bellows and grunts the campers look to see more cages housing various other dinosaurs such as several Stegosaurus, a few Parasaurolophus, as well as another Sinoceratops "We have to do something!" she adds with determination.

"We saw that Sinoceratops herd in the grasslands yesterday, not to mention there are clearly other Stegosaurus in the area given the shedding we found. If we let them out…" Darius says before trailing off.

"They could go be with their herds and eat all the grass they'll ever want!" Sammy says excitedly as she likes the idea of saving the dinosaurs.

"Wait, what happened to making this quick? Yaz needs these medical supplies, and Naruto told us not to take any unnecessary risks?" Brooklynn chimes in as the voice of reason.

"We're adapting Brooklynn!" Sammy shouts before going over to the cage door and unlocking it before opening it "New Mission: Free the Dinos! Be Free!" she adds excitedly as the door fully opens and the Sinoceratops looks at them. The dino shakily gets to its feet before slowly lumbering towards the open door and out the cage only to stop once it exits the cage ""That's fine, be free to hang around here" Sammy adds with a smile while Brooklynn just facepalms.

"Next up Stegosaurus" Darius says with a smile as he and Sammy head off.

"Yep this is totally what we came here to do and in no way will come to bite us in the ass later on. Not to mention we totally haven't lost track of our goals at all" Brooklynn says to herself with a sigh before following her fellow campers.

Sammy and Darius proceed to open the cages one by one letting out all the herbivores however its when Sammy is running her hand down the side of a Stegosaurus as it leaves its cage that she hears a loud groaning screech that causes her to gasp as off by the edge of the area is another cage with another dinosaur in it hidden by shadows.

"Uh guys?" she says getting the attention of the two as they all slowly approach the cage as the dinosaur within snarls and trills while circling around in the cage. As Sammy gets a little closer to the dinosaur roars and slams into the cage door while baring its teeth causing the three to jump back in fright.

"Um yeah this one seems a bit meaner than the others" Brooklynn says stating the obvious with a panicked look on her face.

"It's another Baryonyx…Predator." Darius says identifying the dinosaur which had a forest green coloring on the top half of its body while its bottom half and underside were a light tan coloring.

"Predator!?" Brooklyn says with a frightened gulp "So um what are we planning to do with it?" she asks fearing the answer.

"Well it's kind of a no-brainer" Sammy says with her hands on her hips.

"Totally" Darius adds with a nod of his head.

"We should free it/We should leave it" Sammy and Darius say at the same time before their eyes widen and they look at each other "Wait What?" they both say at the same time.

"Mmm awkward yet interesting" Brooklynn comments from behind the two with a slightly smug smirk on her face.

(Naruto)

The blonde was making his way through the jungle following the trail of footsteps or in this case footstep Yaz left in her wake "Really Yaz resorting to hopping on one foot to storm off?" he says to himself with a shake of his head "Not sure if I should be impressed or annoyed by your determination" he adds before hearing some branches breaking causing him to scan the area for threats. However he sighs when he sees that it was just said girl he was looking for trying to pull down a hanging vine from a tree while using a branch to help her stand up "Seriously I get you're annoyed by Kenji slacking but I thought I said you need rest?" he says to the girl walking up behind her.

"We can use this vine to help move the debris" Yaz says before the vine snaps and falls to the ground before she bends down to pick it up "We use the sticks as levers and toss the vines over a branch, using them to lift the rest of the broken plank away" she says handing Naruto the vine before she starts hobbling off again.

"Not exactly a response fitting what I asked you but a good idea nonetheless. However I said you needed to rest and this is pretty much the total opposite of that. Yaz please just take a break before you injure yourself more" Naruto says in response to her before sighing as he follows behind her.

"Three-time state track champ, four times placing at nationals, twice in the international World Track Competition. I have competed in rain, sleet, snow, and each time I've medaled. What does that say to you?" Yaz says snappily as she turns to look at Naruto with her eyes narrowed.

"That once again you didn't give an answer fitting what I said. Also that you are incredibly talented at running. However, answer me this…How many of those times did you compete with a severely sprained ankle that makes it so that you can barely walk let alone run?" Naruto counters while crossing his arms over his chest and giving her a raised eyebrow look.

"None however I don't give up unlike some people" Yaz snaps before turning around and beginning to hobble off again.

"I am going to go out on a limb and say you are talking about Kenji. Not going to lie I find his laziness pretty grating as well especially given our situation. However I have faith that when push comes to shove he will rise to the occasion. All he needs is some motivation in his interest which I think I got a good handle on" Naruto replies, resuming his following of the girl. "That being said it still doesn't negate the fact that you need to be resting so come on let's head back" he says with a sigh wishing the girl wouldn't be so stubborn about resting.

"No way! I am not giving up!" Yaz snaps before letting out a pain filled scream as she trips over a branch with her bad ankle and falls to the ground landing on said ankle.

"YAZ!" Naruto yells rushing over to the girl as she sits on the ground gingerly cradling her hurt ankle.

"I…I think I made it worse" she manages to get out in a tone full of pain and fear while her hands recoil back from touching her ankle due to the pain. Yaz looks at Naruto with a look of pure fear "What do we do now?" she asks with a frightened tone as the Blonde puts his hand on her shoulder to comfort her before sighing as he pulls her into a hug and she clutches at his shirt in fear for what making her injury worse could mean for not only her but the group as a whole.

(Darius, Sammy, Brooklynn)

"We can't free the Predators!" Darius shouts at Sammy, the two having been arguing back and forth for the last several minutes about freeing the Baryonyx. Brooklyn, having had enough of watching them argue, just stood off to the side a bit looking around.

"Why not? I thought you cared about these animals Darius?" Sammy counters walking after Darius as he starts heading toward Brooklynn.

"I do! However I also care about all of us getting home uneaten and preferably not missing any body parts! Freeing a predator means there is yet another predator on the island that could prevent that. Not to mention how would we even free the Baryonyx safely without it turning around and chomping us as soon as it's free?" Darius counters by voicing his thoughts and reasoning as to why they should leave the dinosaur in its cage despite it being a death sentence for said dino.

"What do you think Brooklynn?" Both Sammy and Darius ask the girl at the same time upon reaching where she was standing and looking out into the distance with a perplexed look on her face.

"Do you guys hear that?" she says barely being able to hear the same strange whirring sound from earlier before it disappears.

"Way to help B" Darius remarks with a scoff of annoyance before he walks off with Sammy following him.

"But Darius if we free the Herbivores we should also free the Carnivores, it's only fair" the girl says as she walks in front of Darius cutting him off and making him stop in place.

"You wanna free something that would immediately turn around and have us for dinner?" Darius remarks in slight disbelief.

"We found it which makes us responsible for it. So if we can't let it go then we'll just have to come back every day and feed it" Sammy says in compromise to not letting out the Baryonyx.

"With what Sammy? A Baryonyx can eat more than a 100 pounds of meat a DAY! We have barely been able to find any food for us, just how are we supposed to feed an animal with an appetite like that?" Darius asks in exasperation trying to make the girl see reason.

"With this!" Sammy says before reaching into her tote bag and pulling out one of the cans of fruit.

"You want to give up what limited food we have been able to find in order to feed the Baryonyx?" Darius asks in sheer disbelief at the idea "Not to mention how the Baryonyx is a carnivore NOT an Omnivore it can't and won't eat fruit or vegetables!" he adds his tone of voice growing louder due to his frustration growing.

"Okay fine so where do we get that much meat then?" Sammy asks with a huff annoyed by Darius shooting down all of her ideas.

Darius simply gains a deadpan look on his face before gesturing towards the nearby Sinoceratops they released that was sniffing at the ground.

Seeing this Sammy gasps before running over and putting herself between Darius and the dinosaur "No!" she shouts.

"Hey don't look at me like that, she is what a Baryonyx would eat" Darius responds with a shrug as it was just nature.

"We're not feeding Maria to the Baryonyx!" Sammy says stamping her foot while behind her the Sinoceratops lets out a groan.

"Wait you named-? Ugh forget it, doesn't matter. The Baryonyx won't eat something like frozen pizza or canned peaches. You wanna feed the Baryonyx then we gotta give it meat!" Darius says in annoyance that Sammy had named the Sinoceratops.

"If we can't feed it while it stays in the cage then we need to release it to the wild!" Sammy yells as she starts running towards the cage holding the Baryonyx.

Seeing this Darius's eyes widen in shock before he runs after her and gets in front of her blocking her path "We're not releasing the Baryonyx! Why would you even want to when it puts us in even more danger!" Darius snaps at the girl in shock that she would make a dash to open the cage.

"Because they should get to go home! These guys didn't ask to be here, but they are and now they're trapped away from their families!" Sammy says passionately stating her reason.

Darius' eyes widen in realization as he figures out just what Sammy meant. She was seeing the dinosaurs as being in a similar situation to what they themselves were in. Trapped and alone separated from their families by the 'cage' that was Isla Nublar. The boy goes to open his mouth to respond only to be cut off when Brooklynn starts shouting "Run run run!" as she runs towards them in fear before passing them and the sound of loud stomping is heard causing Darius and Sammy's eyes to widen in terror.

(Naruto and Yaz)

The two were making their way through the jungle on their way back to camp however Yaz was once more being carried piggyback by Naruto. As he trudged along through the foliage she would push the large leaves of plants away from hitting her face. After a few moments though Yaz looked at the back of Naruto's head before her expression became downcast "I'm sorry" she muttered quietly in shame.

"For what?" Naruto asked not looking back as he continued onward with his hands firmly gripping the underside of the girl's thighs to make sure she didn't fall.

"For you having to carry me again. For being so stubborn that I have injured myself even more. For being useless and a burden" Yaz said rambling on as she listed all the things she felt sorry for.

"Yaz you don't need to apologize for any of that. I don't mind carrying you or anyone else if they need to be carried due to an injury or something. So you were stubborn, that wasn't the cause of you injuring your leg even more as that was purely an accident. Your also not a burden either, as your not in this alone we are all a team and if someone is hurt or unable to contribute then everyone else will work together to pick up the slack until that person is better as that's what a team does" Naruto says turning his head to look back at the girl with a soft smile causing her eyes to widen a bit.

However as a result he didn't see the branch lying on the ground in front of him. As his foot landed on the branch it rolled, throwing off his balance for a moment and causing Yaz to tightly wrap her arms around his neck to prevent herself from falling "Whoa!" the girl yelped out in slight fright before Naruto regained his balance.

"Whoops sorry about that guess I should be watching where I am walking huh?" Naruto said with a chuckle before wincing as the girl on his back reached around and began pinching his left cheek "Yep definitely watch where I'm walking" he grits out through the pinching.

"Good idea, but how about we take a rest over at that rock there for a moment" Yaz says, her eye twitching before it stops as she looks at a large boulder.

Naruto proceeds to walk over to the large rock and gently let her down off his back making sure to be extra careful so that she doesn't put weight on her bad leg. Yaz carefully got off his back before gently slumping to the ground and leaning against the large rock with Naruto joining her by sitting next to her.

As they sat and rested Naruto turned to the girl "Yaz I have to ask why are you so determined to help despite being injured?" he asks softly wanting to know why the girl pushed her so much at the risk of her health and safety.

Yaz's eyes widened at the question before they became downcast as she pulled her knees to her chest and wrapped her arms around them before resting her chin on them "I'm the track star. The person that my coaches, my team, the one whose strength everybody relies on. But now…I'm not strong, and if I'm not strong anymore then what good am I?" she says in an almost broken tone with tears welling up in her eyes.

Hearing this Naruto's eyes widen in shock "Yaz you are so much more than just the 'track star' and someone who is strong. You are an amazing artist, have a good sense of humor, are brave and selfless. Hell, you were willing to risk your life in the Mosasaur Lagoon to save Darius and Sammy despite finding out shortly beforehand that said girl betrayed your trust. That's not something just anyone would do." he says listing off various things about her causing her eyes to widen as she looks at him. "The fact that all those people are simply relying on you to carry them is total bullshit. You shouldn't be the one to have to carry the burden of your team alone as that's what a team is supposed to do together. If they aren't willing to pull their own weight then you don't need them in your life. You are an amazing and beautiful young woman who has so much more worth beyond just being saddled with all the responsibility of making sure others succeed, and I am glad that I have had the chance to meet you as you have brightened up my life just by entering it" he finishes with a kind smile as he reaches out and holds her hand.

Yasmina was completely stunned by Naruto's passionate words touching her heart. The tears that had been welling up in her eyes trailed down her cheeks before she reached up with the hand he wasn't holding and wiped them away. "Thank you" was all she softly said as she held his hand in hers, interlocking their fingers and leaned her head against his shoulder.

Naruto simply smiles softly at this "All I did was speak the truth but you're welcome either way." he says getting a soft chuckle out of her. "Just remember this Yaz, you're not alone and don't have to do everything yourself as we are all in this together. I mean take Kenji for example he is…" he begins to say.

"Lazy? Entitled? Completely helpless?" Yaz interrupts with a bit of a grin and a chuckle.

"...Okay, point made. However he is also helpful in his own way. I mean the guy knows a thing or two about not overworking yourself to the point you risk your health, so if someone like him agrees that you should rest then it's probably a safe bet that you should rest" the blonde responds with a bit of a chuckle at the start.

"Ugh it just feels so wrong to think that Kenji could actually be right" Yaz says with a shudder, getting a chuckle from the blonde sitting next to her.

"Well let's push that feeling aside for now to take a page out of Kenji's book, and just sit back and chill as we enjoy this moment of peace and quiet" Naruto says as he relaxes against the rock getting a chuckle from Yaz as she joins him as the two enjoy their moment of relaxation and tranquility.

(Darius, Brooklynn, Sammy)

The three run for three for their lives as the matted gray with blue marking around its eye, colored Baryonyx that Darius saw earlier in the day, chases them through the field clinic. However as the Baryonyx gets closer to them the Sinoceratops Sammy freed lets out a bellow and rears on its hind legs causing the Baryonyx to turn its attention to it with a snarl and hiss. This gives the three just enough time to find a place to hide behind one of the larger crates.

The three campers watch as the Baryonyx roars at the Sinoceratops before noticing the Baryonyx in the cage and rushing over where the two begin communicating. The gray Baryonyx then begins slamming against the cage door.

"It's trying to free the other Baryonyx" Darius whispers in observation before the three choose to use the moment to sneak away. They make it a bit away from the scene and are about to leave the field clinic when they hear snarling and turn to see the tannish brown Baryonyx come around one of the empty cages. The predator spots them and lets out a screeching roar causing the campers to start running again with it giving chase.

Running past several cages they desperately look for a place to hide or escape as the Baryonyx chases after them, its snarling getting louder as it gains on them. The three round a corner around a cage suddenly momentarily causing the dinosaur to lose sight of them. Sammy, seeing an open crate, decides to make a gamble and dives into the crate before pulling the lid on it.

Darius and Brooklynn, unaware of Sammy's decision, continue running when Brooklynn spots one of the cages, this one housing a Stegosaurus that the campers hadn't released yet, and has several crates stacked next to it "Up there!" she yells frantically as the two dash to the crates and climb up them. Darius is the first to reach the top of the cage however before turning around to see the Baronyx dashing towards Brooklynn as she climbs. Thinking fast the boy throws his makeshift weapon at the dinosaur and hits it in the head causing it to stumble and crash into the crates destroying them. Brooklynn starts to fall as a result and lets out a yelp of fear only to be saved at the last minute as Darius quickly reaches down and pulls her up to safety.

The Baryonyx gets back on its feet with a shake of its head and leaps up to try and snap at the foot of the girl just as it passes over the edge of the cage only to miss said foot by mere inches. The predator then makes another leap up trying to get on top of the cage only for Brooklynn to smack it in the head with her makeshift weapon breaking said weapon in half and sending the dino back to the ground. Shaking its head in annoyance, the dinosaur then spots the Stegosaurus inside the cage and starts hissing at it before trying to climb the side of the cage.

The Baryonyx manages to get a foothold on the side of the cage with its claws due to the gaps in the cage's sides and as a result is able to raise its head up to above the top of the cage. However due to the odd angle it is unable to bite down on the campers and merely snaps at the air futilely as it tries to pull itself up on top of the cage. However the predator soon loses its footing and crashes back to the ground in frustration. As a result it begins slamming into the sides of the cage and leaping up to snap at the campers.

Darius and Brooklynn try to maintain their balance on top of the shaking cage while also having to duck out of the way whenever the Baryonyx leaps up to snap at them. The boy looks around frantically looking for anything that could potentially save them or help them. Looking behind them he spots a larger cage that houses two Stegosauruses that are banging against the side of said cage trying to get out in order to help their herd member that they believe to be in danger. Turning back the other way Darius spots Sammy poke her head out of the crate she was hiding in "Sammy! The Stegosauruses! Open the cage!" he yells at the girl causing her to look at the cage housing said dinosaurs.

Seeing the Baryonyx head to the other side of the cage her fellow campers were atop and start trying to leap at them from there the girl made a break for it. Quickly running towards the large cage she slid to a stop by the door and released the lock before said door swung open and the two Stegosauruses lumbered out with a few bellows.

The pair of herbivores headed straight towards the Baryonyx and began bellowing at it resulting in the predator starting to back away from the two larger herbivores. Seeing her chance Sammy then rushed over to the cage door of the cage her friends were on and released the Stegosaurus in the cage making it 3 vs 1 against the Baryonyx which let out a snarling hiss of distress. Hearing this the gray and blue marked Baryonyx rushed towards its packmate and the pair started hissing and snarling towards the three large herbivores in a standoff.

Seeing this Darius's eyes widened "It's working now's our chance!" he says getting Brooklynn's attention as the two quickly climbed down the side of the cage with Sammy reaching them just as they touched the ground.

"Come on we gotta go" the girl said in a slight whisper not wanting to draw attention to them as she and Brooklynn started to leave the area heading towards one of the exits in the fencing.

Darius however turned back to look at the Baryonyx still trapped in the cage as it snarled and screeched calling out to its packmates "We can't leave it…they're a family" the boy says his words stopping the two girls as he runs towards the caged dinosaur.

"What are you doing!?" Brooklynn shouts as she watches him run though he doesn't respond and just continues running until he reaches the cage.

Darius looks at the Baryonyx in the cage as it calls out to its packmates "If I do this you had better not try to eat me" he mutters before reaching towards the latch and undoing it. He pulls the door out towards him and moves with it making sure to keep the door between him and the dinosaur.

The Baryonyx seeing the door open makes a dash out of the cage and for a split second the boy feared it was going to go after him only for it to make a beeline straight for its packmates. The three carnivores hissed and snarled at each other in what appeared to be a greeting before turning their attention to the three Stegosauruses and started roaring and snarling at them.

Seeing his chance Darius quickly ran over to where Sammy and Brooklynn were and the three watched the standoff between the six dinosaurs with the cowgirl even letting out an "Aw" at the sight of the Baryonyx reunited with its pack.

However the somewhat touching sight was quickly ruined when the three herbivores apparently didn't feel too confident anymore and decided to run…right towards the campers. Seeing the three large herbivores stampeding right towards them quickly snapped the campers out of their mesmerized state "RUN!" Darius yelled as the three quickly ran towards the jungle with the terrified dinosaurs right on their heels and the three Baryonyx following a bit behind said dinosaurs.

(Naruto and Yaz)

The two were still relaxing against the rock when they heard some bushes rustle and Kenji pops out of them "There you two are, you have been gone for over an hour…What the hell is this?" the teen says seeing the two relaxing "Here I have been working my ass off and you two are just kicking back…seriously guys what the frick?" he adds with a frown not happy that they got to relax while he worked.

Yaz and Naruto share a look before turning to the teen "Yaz ended up possibly hurting her ankle worse so we were just taking a short break. That being said, how much progress have you made back at camp?" Naruto says with a raised eyebrow.

"I have cleared some debris and made a base…Behold! Camp Kenji!" Kenji says dramatically before reaching into his pocket, grabbing some sticks from it and arranging them into a barely standing pile on the ground "Obviously this is a scaled down model but behold it's awesomeness!" the teen adds with a wide grin.

Naruto and Yasmina just blink owlishly at the barely standing pile of sticks unknowingly sharing the same thought of "He has to be joking" . However before they can say anything the ground starts to tremble and they turn to see none other than Darius, Sammy, and Brooklynn frantically running towards them with several stampeding herbivores behind them.

"UP THE TREES!" Darius yells to the others after spotting them causing Naruto to jump to his feet and throw Yaz over his shoulder before quickly climbing a nearby tree with Kenji following right behind him. The others reach the tree not long after the former three and quickly climb it as well reaching the branch Yaz, Kenji, and Naruto are on just as the stampeding dinosaurs pass by and completely destroy the asian teens pile of sticks.

"No no no" Kenj moans out in a depressed tone seeing his 'hard work' completely destroyed "This is exactly why you should never work on anything ever" he says bummed out by his work being ruined.

"I hardly think that's the point to all of this…Also Darius how the hell does you three going out for medical supplies lead to a freaking stampede of herbivores?" Naruto asks with a twitching eyebrow as he turns to said teen.

"Um it's kind of a long story…can I tell you when we're back at camp?" Darius says with a nervous chuckle not looking forward to telling the groups leader about what happened at the field clinic.

"Fine but don't think you're off the hook" Naruto says with a tired sigh as he rubs his temples in frustration.

"Wow I guess this is why they build Camp C ip in the trees" Sammy says after a moment as it would make sense to avoid possible dino attacks or stampedes by being high in the trees.

Hearing this causes Naruto's eyes to widen in realization "Yeah you might be onto something there…" he says trailing off as he rubs his chin in thought.

"Maybe our shelter should be like a tree house of some kind?" Darius points out seeing the benefits of it.

Hearing this Yaz thinks for a moment before reaching into Sammy's tote bag and pulling out a large piece of paper and a marker. The girl wastes no time in getting to work drawing a potential base for them before showing it to the others "Something like this?" she asks as the picture is of a basic treehouse.

"Awesome, definitely something we could pull off," Naruto says with a nod of his head.

"Oh we definitely need an awesome lookout tower to spot potential dino threats or rescue parties!" Darius chimes in with a grin.

"Not to mention an awesome girls bunk! You guys can have whatever" Brooklyn adds excitedly getting deadpan looks from said boys.

"A place to store food so the dinos won't get into it is a must as well" Sammy points out getting nods from the others.

"Well we have a plan now lets head back to camp and get started on it" Naruto says getting nods from the others as they all climb down the tree and start heading back to Camp with Yaz once more riding on Naruto's back.

After about a half hour of walking back the campers made it back to Camp Cretaceous and set out getting to work. Yaz however was sitting against a tree with her injured leg propped up working on her drawing of the base. Her injured leg was now bandaged up with a splint using some of the medical supplies Darius, Sammy, and Brooklynn found. Everyone else was busily moving pieces of debris as the sun started to set.

Sammy was moving a broken board when she sees something that causes her to gasp before she picks it up and walks over to Darius "Hey Darius" she says getting said boy's attention "I found this" she says holding out her hand in which was his raptor tooth necklace.

Darius's eyes widened at seeing the necklace before hesitantly reaching out and taking it before draping it over his neck. Feeling its weight around his neck the boy clasps the necklace between both of his hands for a moment before smiling at Sammy "Thank you" he says with a tone full of gratitude before hugging the girl.

"Hey guys we're going to need more vines" Yaz shouts out from her seat.

"I'm on it!" Brooklynn shouts out before heading out into the jungle a little ways only to gasp when she hears the same loud whirring sound she had been hearing off and on all day. She looks around a bit before beginning to try and follow the noise heading towards where it gets louder. After walking for a couple minutes she comes across a small patch of flowers on the "What in the world?" she says seeing the flowers looking odd. Making her way over to them she reaches out to touch one of them only for it to crumble to pieces "Their…frozen?" she says in confusion having no idea how flowers could be frozen let alone frozen to the point of shattering in a tropical climate.
