1. Preface

This story takes place after Darkness of Dragons. Pantala does not exist and has no role. This story was planned before the author read the third arc. There will be spoilers for the entire series. The purpose of this story is to show the mental toll of Winter before his life begins to change with an odd event- his omen- towards a light. This story is cross-posted from the Wings of Fire Fanon wiki under the same name (Winter's Omen).

There will be descriptions of abuse (Including domestic, emotional, and physical), scenes of death/murder/suicide, and implied rape. Y'know, in a Wings of Fire fanfic, of all places.
