Dear Spencer

Yes, I have a transcript and I think that it's suitable for non-magical use, it's typed on regular paper and there's no mention of magic or magical subjects. Scoil Draiocht's muggle name is Glendalough Grammar School. I looked them up and they have quite a good reputation in the nonmagical world, which will help and my grades are pretty decent across the board in spite of my jumping up a year level in the middle of the class last summer. I've made you a copy and sent it by mail so you should get it in a couple of days.

The risk of CPS separating us and you getting into trouble for helping me hide from the authorities, is probably a good reason for you not to move in with me. If I'm on my own I could always disappear and re-enrol in a different school near you as long as they didn't know to keep an eye out for me trying to contact you. Even if they prevented us from being able to meet in person, they wouldn't be able to prevent me from contacting you completely, since none of them would realise that Hedwig is a post owl and able to send letters. So, we wouldn't be any worse off than we are now, and better too because we'd have the ability to telephone and email if we needed to.

You said that people think that Ethan is older than he is because he is able to act like he belongs on campus, surely that would be true for you too. Perhaps you just can't see it from your side of things. Your engineering friends accepted that you were one of them quickly enough, and none of them seem to think twice about being seen hanging out with someone younger than they are, maybe it really isn't as noticeable as you think.

I had a pretty good weekend, Saturday I spent watching the local junior cricket and met a few people around my age. They were short so I got to have a bit of a hit. It's been years since I've played but the strength in my arms from flying and using a beater's bat in pick-up games helped and I did alright. I think that I'd probably do better at baseball since the bat is more similar to the one's I'm used to, though it might be odd that I can hit the ball so well without ever having learned the rules. Anyway, the cricket team I joined won the game and they invited me to stay around and have some supper which was fun. A few of them invited me to the beach on Sunday, and I spent some time learning to surf. It looks like it would be a lot of fun if I were better at it but the balance on a broomstick which moves under my control did not translate to balancing on a surfboard which the wave moves at all. Still, it was a new challenge, and a lot more fun than swimming on my own.

I know what you mean about college shenanigans. I've seen the upper year students when they've smuggled some firewhisky into a party after the younger years have all supposedly gone to bed. Well, I guess they are not really college students but a lot of the seventh years turn eighteen during the year and seventeen is considered the age someone becomes an adult in the British magical world and I don't think that there is a wizarding college, further training is all apprenticeships and on job training like the Auror program or St Mungo's healer program so this is their last year all together and being kids. I don't sleep well and got up with my invisibility cloak a couple of times to see what was going on. I didn't see the point in making yourself act like an idiot, but they mostly seemed giggly and happy doing it. But I don't know that I would've ever felt safe enough in that castle to try it myself, and it made them all extremely grumpy the next morning. I can't believe that the professors truly didn't notice, either the parties themselves or the hangovers the next day.

Mrs Thomas sent me an email. Apparently, she heard from Mrs Finnegan who reads 'The Daily Prophet' that I hadn't returned to Hogwarts and wanted to know that I was okay. She told me that Dean and Seamus hadn't said anything to either her or Mrs Finnegan about me, which was good to hear from my point of view, though both their mothers are angry with them about it. She also didn't ask me where I was or why I didn't go back to school, only if I had a safe place to stay and was with someone I trusted. I think that she thinks that I'm with you. I sent her an email telling her that I was fine and on my own travelling around for now, looking for a safe place to settle down long term. I asked that if she wrote to Dean about me that she not mention my name and be as vague as possible to keep him safe if someone is monitoring my friends' mail. I assume she will take my warning seriously but hopefully she will at least manage to convey to Dean that I am safe and well.

Batman's Birthday is the 29th of February and was first released in in June 1938, and Superman's Birthday is the 19th of February and was first released on the 30th of March 1939 and it's an odd coincidence that the writers could have chosen any days they like, and their birthdays are only 10 days apart, does that make Batman less than a year older than Superman? Or does it make Superman a birthday present for Batman.

Your friend always

Harry
