Chapter 2

A figure was walking down the dirt road as he could see a city was coming into view. It was a place he hated going too, but it was one that did very well when it comes to gathering information. He could get lots of information from various people. He had only had to come personally twice since he joined Alvarez and became the final Spriggan.
He had long blonde hair that went to his neck with two bangs that went down to his jaw and blue eyes like the ocean with three whisker marks on his cheeks. He was wearing a black t-shirt with a gray short sleeved haori with dark blue jeans. He had a giant sword strapped to his back that was wrapped in bandages. He had a prosthetic arm that was given to him by August.
"What is so damn important that he needs to meet with me in person rather than just call me over with the lacrima?" Naruto asked himself out loud as he could see the gate to the city come into view.
He sighed at the site of it, having not wanted to come back to this place. After all, it brought back memories and ones that he'd rather forget, but if what he was getting into was that important, he'd bear with it for the time being, but than he'd be out as soon as possible.
Over the years, Naruto had grown a bit in height where he now stood at 6'2 instead of his 5'10 when he was released from the seal. After he joined the Spriggan 12, he trained to get used to his new arm and after a few months which felt much longer than that, he didn't feel any discomfort from it and felt like it was part of him. He had gained a scar on his stomach from the hole that was blasted through. He continued his studies in Fuinjutsu to where he could instantly conjure up seals and had further increased his prowess in the other areas, especially Genjutsu with his Sharingan where he could cast them with a mere glance as well as improved the other aspects of the Dojutsu. He kept up with his taijutsu having surpassed his father in terms of speed and that was without using the of the cloaks. The same could be said for his kenjutsu as he retrained with each blade. He improved his ninjutsu to frightening degrees.
That wasn't all he did though, having met with all the Spriggans over the years, having come to find some of them to his liking while others he found odd, and irritating. Three in particular though he had spent the most time with as he wanted to showcase his gratitude for getting him patched up. They certainly made his life more interesting and exciting. Brandish was easily annoyed with things and came to learn that she absolutely loved fluffy things. Dimaria was passionate when it came to fighting as well as those she considered comrades. She wasn't afraid to speak her mind and one thing that she loved to do was to tease him. She was one of the few that helped him adjust and would spar with him. Irene was the one he had the hardest time of being around since she looked so much like Erza it made him sick to his stomach. It took awhile, but he was able to get past it much to her amusement. She understood why he was uncomfortable around her, especially after she learned what Erza had done to him. Irene was a patient woman, but also loved to tease him. After getting past that block, they got along very well. She was the most intelligent woman he'd ever met. When they weren't on missions given to them by August or even Zeref himself, they would be studying just about anything with Irene wanting to learn Fuinjutsu being something that caught her attention, finding the art fascinating.
He had made it to a bar that wasn't far from the gate glad that was the case. He could get this over with than go onto some more important things. He saw his informant sitting at a table by himself who looked to be keeping to himself.
"Glad you could come quickly. I've been trying to get your attention for the last few months, but for some reason, you were never around." He said to Naruto who raised a brow in curiosity as a cup of the beer was poured..
"What was so important that you had me come to this place, knowing my history with it?" Naruto asked curiosity with a hint of anger in his tone as the accepted cup and downed it.
"I've recently learned that Fairy Tai's core members that disappeared 7 years ago are alive and have also won the most recent GMG that took place is Crocus." The informant told Naruto who by some miracle kept his composure, but he was grinding his teeth. This would change many things now. As much as he wanted them to have stayed gone, he had a lot of payback to get.
"That is interesting news. I can see why you were so adamant about wanting me to hear this in person. If that's the case, thanks for the information. Is there anything else you have to report to me?" Naruto asked.
"Yes, Tartaros has decided to make their moves and has begun attacking the council members." The informant said, taking a drink.
"Really? Damn it, I wonder why I hadn't been told this before? Suppose I'll ask Kyoka and Seilah-chan since they don't mind my presence compared to the others, well except for Silver, he's alright." Naruto said. "Do you know who's been attacked so far?" He asked.
"Yes, I heard that Yajima was, but was saved by Laxus and her Thunder Tribe and is now recovering at Fairy Tail now." Naruto frowned at what he heard.
"Alright, thanks. Keep up the good work. If you come up with something else, let me know." Naruto stood up and downed his second cup and stood up. He would need to go stop by and check on them. Hell, they were some of the ones who didn't turn their backs on him. Yajima thought of him as a grandson, despite knowing what he was, that didn't change anything and Laxus thought of him as a rival. He would need to check this out along with Fairy Tail itself.
Fairy Tail
Nearly twenty minutes later, the old healer finally emerged from the infirmary, and Makarov was the first to run to her and the first to cry out "Porlyusica! Laxus and the others?! How bad is it?! Answer me!"
"They will make it…" Porlyusica said with a grim expression, which stopped the fairies from breathing out in relief "But… the damage from the magical barrier particles has clearly taken its toll." She shook her head "To say it's a potent form of poison is an understatement… even a pinch of it is fatal in most cases… whether they'll make a full recovery from this… I cannot say for certain." The old healer continued "Laxus especially, the amount of internal damage he's suffered… by all accounts, he shouldn't still be alive." They all became extremely worried after hearing those words from Porlyusica.
"May we see them?" Makarov asked.
"Yes, but make it short. They need to rest." Makarov nodded his head grimly and walked into the infirmary. The master approached Freed, who was currently the only one that was conscious, even though it was barely.
"How do you feel, my child?" Makarov asked softly as he looked at Freed.
"I… will be… fine, master…" Freed rasped "It was Laxus… he… saved us and… everyone in that town." He coughed "If… Laxus hadn't shown up, we… everyone in that village… would be…" He then took a deep breath before asking "The people of the town…are they safe?"
The master paused for a second before answering with a nod of his head "Yes…he saved them all."
"Good… that's really good..." Freed's eyes teared up and he said in relief, unaware of the master's lie
"Rest now."
"Yes…Master."
After Freed closed his eyes, everyone else felt the wave of depression wash over them.
"Tartaros…" Levy muttered while her teammates were gritting their teeth in anger.
"This is so callous," Lucy muttered as she lowered her eyes.
Natsu clenched his fist and gritted his teeth in rage. "Hey Gramps…" he muttered before declaring angrily "This means war! Let's go and kick their ass, every single one of them." He turned around and walked for the door. However, before he could get anywhere near the exit, he was tackled to the ground by Max, Warren, Jet, Nab, and Droy.
"Calm down Natsu!" They cried while trying to hold him down.
"Let go of me, you bastards!" Natsu angrily shouted. He thrashed violently, his fist came into contact with Droy's cheek, knocking him out but the remaining managed to keep their hold on him.
"We all feel the same way." Max reminded him.
"I said let me go!" Natsu rapidly slammed his fist into the floor, making it crack under his strength. "One of our own got taken down! We can't let something like that slide!" Natsu shouted to Makarov. "We need to beat all their asses to a pulp, asap!"
"I have no objections to that." The third guild master said seriously, "But we don't have enough Intel."
"We know neither their objectives nor the location of their headquarters..." Erza added. "Even the council was left in the dark regarding such matters."
"They're right, Natsu!" Lucy pointed out as she looked down at him "How can we take them down if we don't know where they are?"
"We can beat it out of the other dark guilds!" Natsu angrily suggested.
"The only thing we know right now is that they are after council members, both current and former ones." It was Lucy who pointed that out
"So, should we start by heading out to the homes of all four members?" Gray asked
"But the addresses of the council members are classified information, you know." Macao reminded him "Finding that information will be problematic, to say the least."
"So our hands are tied here?" Cana questioned while she was sitting on the table and holding a barrel of beer.
"Nope, not quite" Someone answered, and everyone turned their head to the side to see Loke making his way toward them. "I know the locations of the former members. Not all of them, though."
"Loke?" Lucy exclaimed in surprise. It was quite obvious that she hadn't summoned him.
"How would Loke-san know?" Wendy asked curiously.
"Well, you see…" He smirked and approached the young sky dragon slayer to whisper something into her ears. His words soon made her blush in embarrassment and fidget around nervously.
Lucy sweat dropped at the scene before here "Probably from women, I bet."
"Good. Now we have everything." Makarov nodded his head before turning his head around to look at his guild "With Loke's Intel, we know the locations of the council members. We'll split into teams and protect the former council member from Tartarous' attacks. They'll be tight lipped, but we have to get them to tell us everything they know. The locations of their other members… and why they're targeting by Tartarous."
"Also," Porlyusica stepped in "If you run into the magic interfering particle user, the one Laxus faced… please do your best to bring me a blood sample back. It might just allow me to create an antidote that could cure Laxus and the other." Everyone nodded their head in understanding.
"Remember!" Makarov spoke up loudly "The enemy is Tartarous! They're a corner of the Balam Alliance… just like Oracion Seis and Grimoire Heart, but we've destroyed both of the latter! We shall do the same to Tartaros! Let them rue the day they made us enemies!" He cried with his hands balled into fists "Our comrades were mortally wounded! Their pain amounts to our own! The blood they bleed… is our own! This pain… this suffering will fuel our fighting spirit to take down our enemies! We're not justice! We move by our own wills!" He then raised his hand above his head and declared loudly "We will put all our bonds and pride on the line, and eliminate all our family's enemies!"
Everyone roared in unison, their collected determination fueling their resolve.
"Tobi likes your words." They turned around to see someone at the doorway of the guild. He wore black pants and gloves, with a white form-fitting shirt underneath. Over it he wore a black coat that was unzipped revealing the white form-fitting shirt. He had black hair and blue eyes
"Who are you?!" Natsu shouted at him rudely.
He ignored his rude behavior and gave a sad frown. "Tobi heard about the attack against Yajima-jiji and heard he was brought here. I was hoping I could see him, I haven't been able to in a few years." The stranger said in a sad voice.
"Of course come on in. Natsu let him through." Lucy said to her partner and looked at him apologetically. "We're sorry about him, we have a lot going on right now and we're worried." She said, getting a nod from him.
"Tobi is understanding. Tobi is a good boy and won't cause trouble." The now revealed Tobi said in a somber tone.
"I see. I'll take you to where he is." Makarov said and turned towards the guild members. "Everyone, you know what to do, go now!" He shouted
"Yeah!" Everyone shouted as they left to go to their jobs, while others that didn't have tasks were sticking around and looking at Tobi curiously, when he saw someone that had been part of the reason he had been forced to seal himself away.
It was a white haired young woman with a little pony tail at the front of head and dark blue was wearing a black dress with white lining at the end. She had a small ribbon tied around her neck. This was Mirajane Strauss, Naruto's ex-girlfriend. He shook his head of those thoughts, she was nothing to him after what she and everyone else did to him.
Mira gave him a curious glance, wondering who he was, she couldn't see him, but something about him had her attention.
"Carla, Carla!" Wendy called out worriedly to her friend when the white Exceed suddenly stopped speaking and stood there motionless with her eyes wide in shock.
"Is she… having another vision?" Lucy asked in confusion.
"I think so." Wendy nodded her head worriedly.
Ribbons shot out from a black sword on the ground and wrapped around Mirajane's wrists, ankles and neck and tied the white haired demon to the large boulder behind her.
A woman with long scarlet hair snapped her finger, and from the white sword, a gooey-like substance flowed toward Mira, melting away her clothes and leaving burn marks on her body.
With a small smirk, the woman stepped forward, removing her witch hat from her head and placed her hand in front of Mira's chest. Dark energy flowed out of her chest and gathered into the red-haired woman's hand while Mira was screaming with a painful expression on her face.
Her vision changed once again.
Erza dropped her sword and fell to her knees, her body shaking with tears streaming down from both of her eyes.
Mira, Cana, Lisanna, and Levy were on her knees, booths hands over their mouths as they sobbed at the sight in front of them.
Natsu and Gray were cowering at the KI being emitted at them and what they were witnessing had them terrified and flinching.
The other members of Fairy Tail couldn't move, their bodies had been completely frozen in fear and guilt.
An enormous sandy coloured tanuki with a single tail.
A large two-tailed cat that was completely engulfed in blue flame.
A massive large turtle with a crab-like shell and three shrimp-like tails.
A gigantic red furred and green skinned monkey with four tails.
A white horse, but with a dolphin head with five tails.
A large white, with a slight light blueish tint, bipedal slug that had six long tails, stubby arms and feet.
Beside it was a massive, insect-like creature with seven tail-like wings growing from the end of its abdomen.
A bison with eight giant tails, which greatly resembled the cephalopod arms of an octopus.
Last, standing in the middle, the biggest of them all, was a red-orange fox with nine gigantic tails flowing behind its back.
And standing on its head, with his arms crossed on his chest, looking down at Fairy Tail with cold eyes… was none other than Tobi with his mask on.
Her vision ended, and Carla collapsed on her knees with her eyes still widened in horror.
"Carla, what's wrong?" Wendy asked worriedly "What did you see?"
"It's… it's…" The white cat stuttered. "I saw nine terrifying creatures with…
"We can worry about that later. For now, we need to protect those old geezers." Natsu cut in impatiently.
"Let's go." Gray said in agreement as others started agreeing with him and leaving. Mira, Cana, and Erza however frowned at the interruption at what she was about to say, but nine creatures? What did that mean? Tobi didn't say anything to what was going on, but kept on walking while Makarov continued to lead Tobi to the infirmary.
It didn't take long for them to reach the infirmary. When he saw their state, he winced knowing how deadly the Magical Barrier Particles is to a person. Naruto has seen what they can do and how dangerous they are. Seilah had shown him the damage they can do to people.
"I'm sorry, but you won't be able to stay for long with everything going on with Tartaros. How do you know Yajima if I may ask, young man?" Makarov asked curiously.
"Tobi has been watched after jiji since he was a little boy and he helped Tobi find a home for him." Tobi said in a childish tone with Makarov nodding, but also wondering why he's talking like that.
"Do you have a last name, young man?" Makarov asked, wanting to know a little more about him.
"Tobi doesn't have one, but that's okay. Tobi is happy with his first name only." Tobi chirped as Makarov chuckled at his antics.
"Alright, then I'll let you give your condolences for a few minutes." Makarov said, leaving himself as Tobi looked around, seeing Yajima and the Thunder Legion unconscious. He reached up to his mask and took it off, revealing it to be Naruto who had a small smile seeing them or at least Yajima and Laxus. He didn't know the other three, but had heard about them.
He walked over and sat down in the seat between him and Laxus. He didn't say anything and sat in silence. He finally opened his mouth to speak to them after a couple minutes.
"Get better soon you two. Times are changing again and you'll need everything to fight Tartaros and what else is coming. I'm sorry I can't stay for long, but I have things to do and people to see, so good luck and take care." Naruto said when a thought came to mind.
"Isobu, can you make some corral for me?' Naruto thought.
"How creative!" Isobu replied with a smirk as Naruto closed his eyes.
Naruto's left arm started to mutate as blue corral sprouted out of his arm as he brought it over Laxus, having heard that he ingested a lot of the particles like a slayer could. He needed to be healed first. Naruto snapped his finger as tiny bursts of electricity soon torched the clumps destroying both the corral and particles into dust.. But it soon turned purple as everyone watched as the corral 'absorbed' the poison into itself. Then after a few moments it fell off of Naruto skin and clumped into hissing purple corral clumps. He did some hand seals when his hands started glowing green to finish the healing process. After a few minutes of healing him until he wasn't in danger anymore, he did the same thing to Yajima with the corral along with the others knowing Laxus would want them to be healed too.
He stood up from his seat and walked towards the door. He put his mask back on and walked out, not seeing the faint smile on Yajima and a smirk on Laxus's face.
He got to the main room and could see everyone making plans for Tartaros. As he walked by different groups, he could see several familiar faces and he was slowly getting angrier with them. When he saw Natsu and Gray, he wanted to knock them down and get revenge, but it wasn't time yet. He could see Levy was with Gajeel and he felt another spike in his emotions begin to slip as his Chakra shook briefly for a moment before someone noticed, he was able to reign it in. He wondered where Erza was and the backstabbing ex girlfriend of his was, but he ultimately pushed those two out of mind and found Makarov at the bar.
"Tobi thanks you for letting him go see jiji." Tobi said in a cheerful voice.
"You're welcome. Is there any way we can contact you to let you know when he awakes? I'm sure you'd like to know, right?" Makarov asked as Tobi shrugged.
"Tobi is grateful, but I'll be fine. Thanks again Mr. Leprechaun." Tobi said as he walked off, waving his arm childishly, ignoring the gawk from Makarov while some of the others that heard chuckled, laughed, or giggled.
Once he was out of the building, Naruto disappeared in a swirl into his mask, showing that he wasn't there, leaving no trace that he was ever there.
"It's good to see you again Seilah." Kyoka said as she sat on the chair inside her chamber, with her legs crossed and a smile on her face while looking at the demon that was standing in front of her.
Seilah was a beautiful woman with E-cup breasts, purple hair and eyes, and pale skin. Her most noticeable features are the two large gold-looking horns protruding from the sides of her head and pointing upwards. Upon her head is a white band which separates her hair, framing her bangs from her hair below the band. Worn upon her forehead is a small circular symbol with a small dot on the inside and surrounded by several dots around the top. Tied around her neck is a small white-colored strap. Meanwhile, Seilah's attire consists of a very revealing blue-colored leopard-printed kimono, bearing the decorative marks on her shoulders. The kimono is wrapped around her torso with a thick, decorative yellow ribbon that ties behind her back, and her outfit is complemented by thigh-high socks that reveal her heels and toes.
"How's little Tsuki doing? Kyoka asked with a small noticeable smile.
"She's doing just fine, right now I just dropped her off with her aunts since it's going to be too dangerous for her to be here." Seilah said with a sad smile having to be from her daugher for the time being.
"I see…" Kyoka smiled as she looked at Sayla. "I'm sad to see her gone, but am grateful that she'll be safe from what's to come, but for now I have a mission for you." She said to the lovely demon.
"Anything, Kyoka-sama." Seilah said with a bow becoming completelye serious.
"I need you to travel to this location and kill this man." Kyoka said as she handed her a piece of paper and a picture of an old man "His name is Yuri and he's a former member of the magic council, kill him, and we will have one less human to worry about."
"I see… then I shall prepare a story benefiting his last day." Seilah said with a smile and turned around to leave the chamber, but before she could make a single step, they turned around when they saw a swirl appear in front of them, they had their guards up when Naruto could be seen making them relax, but more so Seilah, than Kyoka.
"Mind if I tag along too?" Naruto asked with a smirk as he took his mask off.
"Of course Naruto-dono." Kyoka said to the only human aside from Zeref who she'd accept or tolerate.
"Thank you Kyoka and how many times have I told you that you don't need to call me by that honorific? Just Naruto or Naruto-kun will be good enough. We are friends after all." Naruto said to her who shook her head.
"I can't, you're one of Zeref-sama's elite guards therefore it's out of respect that I can't call him anything so casual." Kyoka said, getting a sigh from Naruto while Seilah covered her mouth with her sleeve to hide her giggle.
"Come with me Naruto-dono, I know where Yuri-san lives." Seilah said to Naruto who followed after her.
Once they were out of the room the two immediately closed the distance between each other and brought their lips together in a kiss. It was filled with love and lust as they brought their tongues into action, exploring each other's mouth, trying to dominate the other. It was like they hadn't been together in a long time.
Naruto ended up winning the battle and she happily accepted him as she moaned from the feeling of not only his tongue probing her mouth, but one hand was groping her impressive and soft ass while the other was groping her left breast with his right hand.
They had to separate after a number of minutes to get some air, but there was string of saliva connecting them together. They smiled at each other and gave one more peck for good measure as they pressed their foreheads together.
"I missed you Seilah-chan." Naruto said to her as she nodded her head.
"I know and I missed you as well, my husband. We've both been so busy with me doing missions for Tartaros and you were doing missions for the empire. How did your meeting go with your informant?" Seilah asked curiously.
"Well he said that the ones that disappeared seven years ago are back and not only that, but are stronger than they were before." Naruto said, looking at her with an amused look. "He also said that Tartaros is making their moves and have already started going after the council members. When I heard that, I went to check on Yajima." He said, getting a nod from her.
"Yes, Mard Geer-sama said it's now time to begin the plan to return to Zeref." Seilah said with a smile.
"Alright, well let's go say hi to a councilman." Naruto chirped, getting a small giggle from Seialh who nodded as they left to go complete their mission.
Lisanna and Elfman, the younger siblings of the Strauss family were sent to look for and protect Yuri, former member of the magic council. It didn't take them long to locate the village where his house was, which was secluded within a mountain range. The older Strauss looked around the village, searching for the house while his sister was walking next to him, holding the map with the exact address of his house they were given beforehand in her hands.
"The entire place is deserted." He said as he put his hand above his head "Where's this guy's house supposed to be, Lisanna?"
"There." Lisanna double checked the address before widening her eyes. Raising her hand, the young white haired woman pointed to a hut near a cave entrance. "His house should be there." The two quickly made their way there. A feeling of dread made its way to their body when they realized the door was fully open.
"Elder Yuri?!" Elfman called worriedly into the silent hut.
"We're here from Fairy Tail!" Lisanna continued as she walked into the house with her brother "You're in grave danger! Tartaros is-"
"Lisanna, I found him!" Elfman suddenly shouted and ran into a room.
Lisanna widened her eyes and immediately ran to her brother, who kneeled down and held up the body of an old man. "Is he ok?" she asked nervously, fearing that she already knew the answer.
Elfman shook his head sadly, closing his eyes "It's no good. He is not breathing."
"Oh no…" Lisanna gasped. "We were too late."
"Set up the transmission Lacrima Lisanna." He turned his head around and said to his sister "We need to report to the guild immediately."
"Right." Lisanna nodded her head and reached her hand into the bag hanging from her shoulder, pulling out the large blue orb.
"But how was he killed?" Elfman inquired to no one particularly. "There isn't a single scratch on him?"
Then suddenly, while he was looking his face closely, the thought dead former councilor opened his eyes and rose up on his own, shocking both Strauss.
"CRAP! He's alive!" Elfman exclaimed in shock.
Yuri turned his head towards Lisanna and pointed his index finger at the Lacrima, which was then shattered into pieces by an unknown means.
"What the hell are you doing?!" Elfman shouted. "The transmission Lacrima is…"
Yuri gave no answer, instead, still in the same posture, he fell to his knees then onto his front body, with his eyes still open. Elfman and Lisanna looked on in confusion.
"What just happened?" Lisanna asked in surprise.
"I don't know…" Elfman shook his head and answered worriedly.
"Just as I thought." An unfamiliar voice said in a sigh. "I guess I can't expect a corpse Macro to function particularly well." They all turned their heads around and widened their eyes when they saw Seilah was there reading a book, but what really got them was that she wasn't alone.
"Damn and here I was thinking you guys wouldn't have gotten here so quick, I was hoping I wouldn't have to put my mask on." Naruto said with a frustrating sigh as he saw the two younger Strauss siblings.
"N-Naruto-nii?" Lisanna asked with uncertainty as her breath hitched at seeing someone she considered a brother, even when he wasn't treated kindly by most of the guild. She trusted him to not hurt her or Elfman as he thought of them as family.
"Still recognize me eh little sister, little brother, but unfortunately because you've seen me when you weren't supposed too, we gotta do something about that." Naruto said as he activated his Sharingan and looked at Elfman and quickly cast a genjutsu on him as he was knocked out.
"Elfman! Why are you doing this Naruto-nii? Are you working for their guild? Why would you side with them? What happened to you? Please don't do this!" Lisanna begged to her brother-like figure as she stared at him who stared at her with a blank stare.
"I can't do that, even if I care about you, Lisanna-chan. I'm only here for Seilah-chan and just watching how things go. And as for what happened to me, ask your sister the next time you see her if you remember that is. She, Natsu, Gray, Cana, and Erza are the reason that I have this." Naruto said as he brought up his prosthetic arm that was now visible for her to see and she gasped at it. What did her sister have to do with that?
"What did Mira-nee and everyone else do?" Lisanna asked in thought as her eyes widened in horror. It couldn't be true. It just had to be a lie. They'd never go so far and hurt him, right?
"Just know that I still love you and will make sure you're not hurt." Naruto said as he quickly used his Sharingan to do the same thing and knocked her out. He caught her before she could hit the ground. He sighed as this was now getting more complicated than he had hoped. He quickly wrote a memory altering seals on the back of their necks where no one could see.
"We should get going. Are you okay Naruto-kun?" Seilah asked him with concern, but she was relieved when he nodded at her with a smile on his face.
