Chapter 11

It is now Friday, August 19th, X783. Cana wants to fight Lullaby in a few days.

I woke up even earlier than normal, having slept no more than three hours, and yet, I felt full of energy. I couldn't help but wonder if this was due to my body adapting to my Magic even more. Would it continue adapting until I reached the point of no longer even needing sleep? I knew that everything was possible with Magic, but… I was starting to wonder if I was even human in the first place, even though I knew for a fact that I was one after studying biology.

Either way, this was a bonus to me… I looked a the peacefully sleeping Levy. 'Maybe not really.'

I could always return back to bed later if I felt like it, but I felt the urge to start my day. Plus, I knew that Cana wanted to fight the Demon soon, so I had to try and figure out that Devil Magic. Not to mention that I also got that Guide to Storm Magic as a reward, and I wanted to check that out as well.

Yeah, I had a lot on my plate at the moment, but I was sure I could wrap up everything up in a few days at most.

Spending a few hours in my garden and just idly practicing my Spells while taking care of my plants was becoming one of my favorite activities. Seeing all of those plants visibly grow in front of me just made me feel all warm and happy inside.

The trees were also making remarkable progress, to the point where they were all as tall as me. Soon enough, they would start producing fruits for me, and I… well, I wasn't sure how I would use them yet, but I was sure I could figure it out. Though cooking them seemed like the obvious way at the moment unless I decided to focus on Alchemy and find a way to make a potion of them or something like that.

I was also talking with Lord'oran during my gardening time, discussing my Devil Slayer project with him. He seemed to have some more ideas and suggestions after his recent growth in power, though he wasn't completely sure they'd work out. I figured they were worth trying out, but I first wanted to do something else.

Namely, reading through the Guide to Storm Magic before attempting to recreate that as well. I put on my new glasses and skimmed through the book in a few quick moments, and I felt myself enter a trance. I knew how to use Lighting, Water, and Wind Magic, one of the main components for Storm, and I already knew so much about the weather due to my studies into Physics…

Before I knew it, water began dripping from above me as I had taken control of the sky above Magnolia, making it rain above the town. I looked at the clouds above, the rain drops gently landing on my face. That's when I understood what I needed to do.

"I got it!" I exclaimed as my eyes opened wide.

"That you did," Lord'oran stated as I was still using his form. "I'm surprised how quickly you succeeded."

"No! I got it," I replied, a large grin forming on my face. "Just observe!"

"Hmm?" Lord'oran's curiosity bled through our connection, which slowly turned into pure astonishment as he felt exactly what I was doing. "Wait!? You can't be serious?!"

Oh, but I was, and I continued with morphing and changing my Magic even further, turning into something far superior than simple Storm Magic!

"You started working on this less than a week ago!" Lord'oran yelled in disbelief. "How?!"

I just laughed in response as I felt my Magic improve, advancing to an entirely new level, completely changing in quality. I shot out a bolt of lightning towards the sky emptying some of my Mana before I opened my mouth, taking big gulps of both air and water, carefully keeping watch of my Mana pool on my Status screen, seeing that it was regenerating just a bit faster now.

"Hahaha!" I burst out laughing again as I scrolled over to my Magic section, finding out that Lightning, Water, and Wing Magic had all been replaced by a single one, Storm Devil Magic. I noted that it wasn't named Devil Slayer like the book described it as, but they were essentially the same. Plus, I didn't care about the name that much at that moment, and instead, I simply enjoyed the fact that I had succeeded in recreating the Magic of the Demons.

I rushed back inside the house, flinging away the water from my clothes and body with just a thought before I entered. Then I ran upstairs, flinging the door to the bedroom to find a Levy that was just about waking up.

"Leo?" She looked at me with blurry eyes.

"I did it!" I said excitedly, walking over to pull her for a deep kiss. "I recreated the Magic of Demons!"

"What?!" Levy sounded just as surprised as Lord'oran, who was still repeating "How?" over and over in my mind.

"I created Storm Devil Magic," I said and showed her with Archive, displaying my current Magic Schools.

"You can tell me all about how you did that," Levy said, her breath growing hotter with each word, and she grabbed my shirt, pulling me down on the bed. "And you will write a book about it after we have some fun!"

"So you're the reason it's raining, " Levy said as we walked towards the Guild hand in hand.

"I'm also the reason none of the rain is falling on us," I replied, allowing a few rain drops to land on her.

"Hey!" Levy pouted at me while trying to hide from the rain.

I chuckled and looked up. After focusing for a moment as I gathered my Mana, and I waved my hand, watching as the clouds slowly began dispersing.

"Better?" I asked while she stared at the phenomena with wide eyes.

"You really need to publish a book about this," Levy muttered, still staring at the sky.

"I'm not sure about publishing it," I said at first, thinking it over. "But I will write a detailed one just for you."

Levy turned to me with a very specific look, one that screamed how she was considering dragging me back to bed. "If only I wasn't so sore…"

"Later~" I teased her as we entered the Guild, and I made my way over to the kitchen. I felt more than excited from what I just did earlier, and I wanted to share my joy with everyone here.

"Hey there," Mira greeted me with a hug before tilting her head. "Someone seems happy today."

'I am, I am." I nodded as I used Telepathy to begin telling her of what happened while we began cooking together.

"Oh, man!" Natsu said as I approached with a platter. His hands were banging the table while he drooled a bit from his mouth. "Free food is good, but Leon's free food is the best!"

"Aye!" Happy happily exclaimed from beside him.

"Thanks a bunch!" Natsu didn't forget to thank me before he began devouring the breakfast, eating it all in one breath.

"You're welcome," I replied with a smile, still riding the high from earlier.

"Hey, before you go," Natsu said, licking his fingers after eating the food in seconds. "Wanna go on a Job together? Someone sighted a Dragon near Hakobe, and I want to see if it's Igneel."

"A Dragon?" I asked in surprise. They were supposed to be extinct from what I knew. "Igneel?"

"Yeah." Natsu excitedly nodded his head. "My father. I want to see if it's him."

"Your father is a Dragon?" I questioned, wondering how that even made sense.

"Yeah, he is!" Natsu stated with a fire burning in his eyes… literally. "He was the one that took care of me!"

"Hey, I was just asking," I replied, not willing to argue against this.

"Well, he is," Natsu said, nodding to himself. "So, wanna go search with me? If we can't find him, we can just beat up some monsters for fun! There should be plenty of them on the mountain."

"Sure," I replied, agreeing to his offer. "Just let me serve the rest of the Guild really quickly, and we can go search the mountain."

"Hell yeah!" Natsu cheered, pumping his fist. "I'm all fired up for this!"

"Will you cook lunch for us?" Happy asked, already drooling at the thought.

"Why not?" I replied as I walked away, both of them cheering even louder.

After serving the rest of the people present, I quickly checked the Job board, finding the request for Vulcan extermination Job. I took that one and showed it to Natsu.

"If we don't have any success in our search, we can go take those out," I said, and he agreed.

"Let's go!" Natsu declared alongside Happy as they rushed out of the building.

"How will we travel?" I asked after running to catch up to them.

"We can just run?" Natsu nervously replied while scratching his head. "Or Happy can carry us there?"

"Aye!" Happy agreed.

"Can you carry us both?" I tilted my head, staring at the small Magic Cat.

"Maybe?" Happy looked at us both with a paw on his chin.

"Or I can turn into a Griffin and fly us over?" I offered instead.

"That works!" Natsu agreed with a nod.

"I have been replaced," Happy, on the other hand, silently sulked.

"No, no, you are just saving your energy for the monsters," I told him, watching his eyes lit up in response.

"That's right! I'm saving my energy for lunch!" He stated.

"Lunch?" I asked in confusion.

"Err, I meant the monsters. Yeah, the monsters," Happy said while whistling and avoiding eye contact with me.

"Alright then," I said, chuckling at his antics before transforming into a Griffin.

"Let's go!" Natsu and Happy hopped on top, and I flapped my wings, flying in the air while slowly increasing my speed, using my new Magic to fly even faster than ever.

On the way to Mt. Haboke, we got to talk a bit, and Natsu shared how he had been part of the Guild for six years now, and he has been searching for Igneel ever since he disappeared in the year X777. I believed his words, but from what I had read, Dragons had been extinct for over four hundred years. However, there was a chance some of them had survived and were simply in hiding.

I also got to explain to him how my Magic worked, specifically Boss Battle, and asked if he could let me deal the finishing blow if we encountered any strong monsters. He agreed to that, especially when I promised to prepare a very hot dish for him.

Either way, we soon reached Mt. Haboke, and it was time for us to search the place for Natsu's father.

From up above, I easily managed to spot the location of the Vulcans with my Griffin eyes. However, we weren't here exactly for them, so I continued flying around with Natsu and Happy doing their best to search for Ingeel as well. I thought we would easily locate him if he was around after hearing his description of being a massive Dragon with red scales, thinking his coloration would make it pretty obvious he was around due to how it contrasted with the white snow.

We circled around the peak of the mountain for a bit until I finally spotted something that blended in with the scenery. The large lizard with white scales and wings might be exactly what we were searching for.

"Hey, Natsu, that might be the Dragon we are looking for," I said, using my Telepathy to show him what I saw with my Griffin eyes.

"That's… not Igneel," Natsu replied with a sad sigh.

"Yeah, that's a wyvern, a Blizzardvern to be exact," I replied, knowing how they looked since I had read a Job that requested for their corpses.

"Let's go and ask it if it knows where Igneel is," Natsu said with excitement in his voice.

"I'm not sure if it will be in the mood for that," I told him just as the Blizzardvern turned to look at us. It let out a roar and flapped its wings, but it didn't outright attack us.

"Yeah, I don't think this one can even speak," I said after seeing that.

"Gah!" Natsu barred his teeth before he jumped from my back. "Let's go and smash this one!"

"Fire Dragon's ROAR!" A massive torrent of flames erupted from his mouth, aimed right at the Blizzardvern.

It roared back in response, firing a torrent of ice shards that clashed against Natsu's breath attack, and the two canceled out each other. Natsu then dropped on the snow and clasped a fist against his palm. "You will tell me where Igneel is or I will smash your face in!"

The only response he received was a mighty roar, signalling the start of this fight.

I flew down before transforming into Kamina and used my Boss Battle on the Blizzardvern just as I descended on the ground. The creature immediately snapped towards me, changing targets the second it was affected by my Magic, letting out a mighty roar. I brandished my claws in response as I prepared for this fight, though I didn't forget to warn Natsu. "Allow me to knock it out once we weaken it."

"Got it," he replied, fire burning around him and melting down the snow.

The Blizzardvern then flapped its wings, sending the snow around it in the air as it flew at me with a burst of speed.

Activating all of my Enhancements, I disappeared from my spot as turned into a lightning bolt and appeared beside the monster. My claws dug into its sides, clawing out large chunks of flesh, and I followed that with Kamina's Metal Claw Spell, striking the creature with six large metal claws.

"RAGH!" It roared in pain just as Natsu jumped in the air with a flaming fist.

"Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!" He slammed his fist on the other side of the Blizzardvern.

I continued ripping into it with my claws while also summoning two Wolves right on top of the creature, surrounding it on all sides.

"Fire Dragon's Roar!" Natsu fired another torrent of fire, but he slipped on the snow, and only clipped the wings of the beast, though that prevented it from flying.

"Fire Dragon's Claws!" He instantly recovered, flipping in the air as he delivered two monstrous kicks while I continued slashing at its belly.

"RAAGH!" The Blizzardvern roared in pain and thrashed around before its mouth ended up right in my face. I felt the energy it gathered in its maw and quickly reacted, summoning my Data-Shields right in front of me, blocking the shards of ice that it fired.

Natsu delivered two more flaming kicks right on top of its head, burying it on the ground with the force he kicked it.

"Let me finish it," I called out to him as I jumped on top of the creature, slashing at its back with the assistance of my Wolve.

The monster struggled beneath me, but I held it down with my enhanced strength while delivering slash after slash until it weakly fell on the ground. I hit it one last time for good measure, though I held back, ensuring I didn't kill it since I wanted to use Take Over on it.

I held my breath, watching the Blizzardvern carefully, noticing that it was still breathing. I was considering attacking it one more time, but then I saw the light being forming into my reward.

"Your Magic is pretty lame," Happy said as watched the light turn into a book and a beautiful flower that looked as if it's made out of ice.

"I'm sure it's pretty cool," Natsu said with a weird expression on his face. "But you got crap rewards because of the fake Dragon."

"I think those are good rewards," I replied as I picked them up both. "Books are always good, and this seems like a special flower."

"Blah," Natsu made a weird noise. "Books are stupid and flowers are for girls."

I shrugged as I threw them both in my Inventory before turning towards the Blizzardvern.

"I'll use Take Over on it, and if it's intelligent enough, I will ask it if it knows anything about Igneel," I told Natsu as I prepared to use my Magic on it.

"Man, you're the best!" He shot me a thumbs up, and I placed a hand on Blizzardvern as I activated Take Over.

Gained Ice Magic Book and Ice Lily.

Blizzardvern

Physique: 450

Soul: 400

Abilities: Flight. Cold resistance. +500 Armor to physical and magical attacks. +1500 Health when used.

Ice Magic

Ice Breath: 1d1500+1500. Costs 400 Mana.

Passive Bonus: +200 armor to physical and magical attacks. Cold resistance.

Beaten and bloodied, the Blizzardvern stood no chance, barely putting up a fight against me. It was an easy victory on my end, though I wasn't sure it would be that simple the next time it tried contesting my will.

"Does it know where Igneel?" Natsu asked the second he saw me moving and testing my new form.

'I will have to ask it next time, and I'll let you know as soon as possible,' I replied back, using Telepathy since I couldn't speak in this form.

"Thanks, Leon!" Natsu patted me on my scaly leg. "You're a good friend."

After getting my bearings, I asked. 'Want to beat up those Vulcans really quickly? Might as well earn some Jewels since we are here.'

"Hell yeah!" He exclaimed and hopped on my back alongside Happy before quietly muttering. "I always wanted to ride on a dragon…"

I decided to make this experience a bit more memorable for him and took my time, doing a few circles around the peak the Vulcans were located while making some cool flying maneuvers. Natsu cheered and whooped in joy, even firing a few of his breath attacks in the air, scaring almost all of the monsters on the mountain in the process.

However, the fun times had to end, and I flew closer towards the Vulcans. Those monsters weren't really a big threat to us, so even though I wanted to test the limits of my new for, I figured I could use this chance to practice some of my weaker Spells on them.

I should've expected as much, but Natsu jumped from my back when we neared them and fired a massive blast of fire, destroying a large part of the cave they were hiding in. A strange feeling bloomed within me as I saw his Spell, and for a second, I felt like I had to use my own breath attack, the one the Blizzardvern used against me.

However, just before I did that, I paused, my thoughts going in a different direction. Instead of using the Ice Breath, couldn't I just create a similar Spell for my Storm Devil Magic?

Lightning, Water, and Wind gathered in my mouth as I took a deep breath before I released them all, sending a beam of all three elements flying at the Vulcans on the mountains.

"Storm Devil's Rage!" The name felt right, and I tried yelling it out, though only a monstrous roar escaped my mouth.

Natsu froze in place before he spun around with an excited look in his eyes. "Are you a Dragon Slayer too now? That's so awesome!"

"Look! Do it like me!' He yelled before taking a deep breath. "Fire Dragon's Roar!"

I could've told him I was using Devil Slayer instead, but I figured I could entertain him some more due to how happy he seemed, so I followed his lead with another Storm Devil's Rage. Natsu whooped and cheered before he started using some of his Spells in the attempt to teach me how to do them too.

Of course, I couldn't do them since I couldn't use Dragon Slayer Magic like him, but I improvised with my other Spells, using this chance to practice them. Natsu stayed back and allowed me to fight the Vulcans, which were no challenge at all as they couldn't even damage me due to how durable my current form was.

A few of them even survived, and I figured I could use Take Over on them. I wasn't sure if they would be useful, but I could try to feeding them to one of my Souls if they were compatible. And if they weren't I could always try to make one really strong one, so it wasn't that bad of an idea.

After killing all the Vulcans, I gathered their bodies in my Inventory and prepared to return back to the Guild.

'Want to ride back on my current form?'I asked Natsu, remembering how much he enjoyed it earlier. I figured I could entertain him some more since I wasn't sure when I'd next be capable of using the Blizzardvern.

"Hell yeah!" Natsu didn't hesitate to hop on. "This will be so much fun!"

'And since there's plenty of space on my back,' I said as I summoned some already prepared meals right in front of him and Happy. 'You can even have a nice lunch together.'

"Man, you're the best!" Natsu declared, already munching on the food.

"Aye!" Happy agreed with him. "We should totally do more Jobs together!"

'Maybe,'I replied, considering inviting him to come along once we go after Lullaby. I would talk it over with Cana before making a decision, but I could do that later. Now, I had to fly back to Magnolia, and I used my new Magic to boost my speed even more as I soared through the air.

Soon enough, we neared the town, causing a large commotion due to my current form. People panicked and began hiding in the buildings while I made my way over to the Guild. Some of the members even came out to see what was going on, but they calmed down once they saw Natsu waving at them from my back. They completely relaxed when I landed down and transformed back.

"Oh, it's just Leon." And with that, they returned back inside, a few of them congratulating me on my success.

"You are Mister Leon?" I was stopped by a lone Rune Knight that stared at me with a pale face. "The Cooking Wizard?"

"That's me," I replied with a nod, holding back a chuckle at being called a Mister.

"Alright…" The Rune Knight took a deep breath as he muttered to himself. "I'll have to add that to the report."

He shook his head and said after. "I'll make sure the others are aware of your new Magic, so they don't mistake you for a monster and attack you."

"Oh, that will be great. Thank you," I told him with a smile, and he flinched back, his eyes wide open in surprise.

"Ah, um, you're welcome?" He replied, looking confused to say the least.

"Goodbye," I waved at the Rune Knight and entered the Guild to report we completed our Job at Haboke.

"Bye?" He waved back, looking even more confused if that was even possible.

Gained 1500 Jewels for the Job. The money was split three ways.

Gained new Title.

Fairy Tail Mage?: Gain +20 to Luck rolls. All EXP is doubled for a week after suffering a defeat. Hated Liked by the Magic Council.

After getting my payment for the Job, I grabbed Levy, taking her back to the house since I needed her help, and I explained as much on the way back.

"So you want the armor to shift with you when you transform," she said, thinking it over.

"Yes." I nodded. "At the very least, I want to make use of its protective barrier."

"This won't be easy…" Levy trailed off, eyes looking in the distance as she thought about it. Moments later, she turned to me, burning with determination. "But I will figure it out. Just leave the armor with me!"

"I know you will," I replied, bending down to gently kiss her.

"Mhm." She swooned left and right with a large smile on her face. "Yep! I will definitely figure it out! Not to mention that I will finally get to use that Enchanting Table and see what I can do with it."

"And I guess I will study a bit since I still haven't fully digested all the books I have," I mused, and she took a deep breath while staring at me. I raised my eyebrow at her. "Something wrong?"

"Nope!" Levy shook her head. "Just thinking how lucky I am to be with you."

She tiptoed to give me a quick kiss before running away with a giggle, going to the Enchanting Room I had set up for her. I sent one of my wolves after Levy, so I could deliver the armor to her while I made myself comfortable in the living room and took out my books alongside my new glasses.

More Power!: After understanding how lightning works, we can greatly improve the power of all of our Lightning Spells.

Demon Specialist: Understand exactly how Demons function and what makes them work.

Defibrillator: As long as it's possible, can restart the heart of someone recently deceased(up to 5 minutes) by using Storm Magic. Grafting: Can now graft two different plants together to create new types of plants.

'Hey, can you fill some Lacrimas for me?' Levy asked while I was struggling with those new glasses. They were truly amazing, but the headache from them was something else.

'Sure,' I replied and filled a bunch of Lacrimas with my Mana before sending them over to her.

'Send me your new swords as well,' she said after that.

'My swords?' I asked in surprise, though I gave those to her as well.

'Yeah, I have an idea,' Levy answered without elaborating more on that.

Hours passed while I fought with the book until she called me over to take a look at what she had done.

"So, I managed to Enchant the armor so it shifts with your form," she started, surprising me how quickly she had done that.

"That's amazing!" I said with a large smile.

"And I also changed up the previous Enchantment, making it even better!" Levy continued with a smug look.

"Th–"

Levy interrupted me with a finger. "I'm not done yet."

She pointed at the swords, and I saw the runes she had engraved near their pommels. "I also made it so Magic can freely flow through the Adamantium Swords, plus I added an Enchantment, so they would automatically protect you from harm on their own!"

"Levy…" I said, licking my lips as I looked at her. She puffed her chest proudly as if waiting for my praise.

"Let's go and break the bed." I picked her up, raising her like a princess as I rushed towards the bedroom, planning to show her exactly how much I appreciated what she had done for me.

Enchanted Mythril Armor: +300 armor to magical and physical attacks. Can store up to 3000 Mana and turn that into a protective barrier that will automatically protect the user from harm when attacked. 1 Mana equals 1 point of Health for the barrier. Can morph with the user and be used with hybrid forms.

2x Adamantium Sword: +250 to battle rolls. +125 to damage rolls. Nearly indestructible. Magic can freely flow through the sword. It will automatically protect the user from a physical attack once per combat per each sword.

One bed got destroyed, but that was fine since I had plenty more stored in my Inventory. Though I might have to buy a few more just in case. Or… I could find some corrupt noble and get more for free. Hmm, I liked how the latter sounded.

Nevertheless, I figured it would be wise to prepare some more for the fight with Lullaby since it was one of Zeref's Demons. All of them were exceptionally strong and extremely hard to put down from what I've heard. However, there was also plenty of information about them since they kept reappearing back even after getting destroyed. They were one of the biggest threats on Ishgar, and I had the perfect counter to them, Storm Devil Magic and Satan Soul. With those two, I could permanently counter any of Zeref's Demons and put them down for good.

That's why I made my way over to the Fairy Tail library, hoping that I could find something here. The one of a kind Magical Theory books were stashed away here, so I figured there might be a book that described known Zeref Demons. Though… we did get those special books due to Mavis showing them to us.

"Hey, Mavis?" I called out, trying to see if she was around.

"Yes, my little fairy?" Mavis popped out from behind me with a giggle. "How can I help?"

"Well, you see…" I told her about what I had recently discovered with Cana and what I had done in preparation for this fight, including how I had successfully developed Storm Devil Magic.

"You two…" Mavis stared at me with a complicated look. "Are really similar."

"Who?" I asked, wondering who she was comparing me with.

"A… friend," Mavis replied with a deep sigh. "Never mind that. You said you want to see if there are any books about… Demons? Let's take a look!"

"Here." Mavis led me over to a section in the back. "On the top shelf. The one with the purple cover."

I floated over and grabbed the book she showed me before returning back to our usual desk. As we walked back, I told her a bit about how I had been focusing on my studies and how I planned to possibly recreate Healing Magic in the near future. I wasn't sure if I wanted to publish my findings about Devil Magic, but this sounded like something that everyone would greatly benefit from.

"I… I'm not sure that's a great idea," Mavis said with a tired sigh.

"Recreating Healing Magic?" I asked with a tilt of my head.

"No, publicizing the process of how to create it," Mavis replied as she shook her head.

"What? Why?" I questioned, trying to understand why that was bad.

"It's complicated…" She said tiredly. "Just know there is a reason why Healing is considered a Lost Magic. Just promise me you won't make it public when you find a way to recreate it."

"Alright," I told her with a nod, deciding to trust her. Though that didn't mean I wouldn't attempt to find out exactly why Healing had become a Lost Magic.

On the way to the desk, Mavis asked me if I could pick up what looked like a board game of some sorts, and I complied with her request.

Then I got to reading, using my new glasses to quickly flip through the pages. There were quite a few Demons documented in the book, Like Deliora, for example. He was one that often rampages through Iceberg, however he hadn't been spotted in over six years.

Another one was Argdin, who frequently went on a destructive spree in Joya, burning down countless villages and cities with his Magic. He had to be killed at least once every year, though he always seemed to come back after some time.

Lullaby was also on this list. He was a Demon known as the Mass Murder Curse Magic due to how it used a type of Curse Magic that he transmitted through his Sound Magic, killing everything that heard his song. And just like the rest of Zeref's Demons, he was also a monster when it came to physical abilities.

Mavis suggested for us to plug our ears to cancel out his strongest ability. Communication would be a problem if we did that, but… I did have Telepathy, and I managed to upgrade the ability, I might be able to connect with multiple people at the same time. Right, that problem could easily be solved. Though Lullaby would still be a tough opponent even without that.

"Let's do something fun now!" Mavis exclaimed as I stored the book in my Inventory, deciding to keep it with me.

"Like what?" I asked, and she pointed at the board game she made me pick up.

'Like playing a game!" Mavis said before explaining the rules to me, and we began playing this board game.

I regretted that soon after as she beat me over and over and over and over again, all while pleasantly laughing and telling me how much I was improving, even though she always beat me in the same number of moves.

"Don't worry." Mavis patted me with a large grin. "I'm sure you will do better next time."

"And here I was thinking of leaving one of the wolves here to keep you company," I grumbled under my breath, her eyes opening wide.

"Doggy?" She clasped her hands, eyes shining brightly. "Please?"

"Since you asked nicely," I said while summoning a wolf to stay with her in the library. I could keep up to five of them active at the same time at the moment, so I figured I could leave one here at all times.

"You're the best!" Mavis jumped up and wrapped her arms around my neck before beginning to swing around while happily giggling.

"If you ever need anything, just ask the wolf," I said as I patted the fluffy conjured beast. "I should be able to speak with you through it."

"Food! Pancakes! Chocolate!" Mavis immediately began listing everything she wanted, and I couldn't resist, folding in to her demands.

It is now Sunday, August 21st, X783.

As it has become the norm, I woke up exactly after three hours of sleeping. I kissed Levy on the forehead as I got up, mentally checking my connection with my wolves. The ones in the forest hadn't found any monsters whatsoever, and I was starting to doubt there were any left there.

The one in the library, on the other hand, was being used as a bed as Mavis was snoozing on top of it, her little hands grasping its fur in her sleep. I smiled at her as I went to quickly clean myself before I went outside to take care of my garden.

Telepathy has only three minor upgrades, so we get;

1) Larger Distance: +25 meters(82 feet)

2) More Connections: Can communicate with up to three people at the same time.

3) Reduce Cost: Reduce Mana Cost by 10.

That Wind Mage from Eisenwald didn't seem that strong, but he did have an interesting Spell, one which I took inspiration from to improve my own Lightning Speed by adding small dark clouds around my body, which would periodically target my enemies with lightning bolts.

Of course, I also didn't forget to improve the structure of the Spell by using what I learned from my Body Enhancement, making myself that much faster. Plus, I even added some of that paralyzing effect to all my melee attacks, which I figured out by wrestling with my wolf.

"Morning," Levy said as she came out with a cup of coffee in her hands.

"Morning," I greeted her back before wincing. "I didn't wake you up, did I?"

Levy shook her head. "No, but I think I'm getting used to your crazy schedule. I still can't believe you sleep for only three hours a day."

"Heh." I chuckled and scratched my head. There were a lot of benefits for having so much time in the day as I could train much longer than anyone else. Though I did get to miss on some nice cuddling with Levy. Perhaps I could figure out how to improve my Conjure Clone more and train through it while I stayed in bed? That… seemed plausible, and I would certainly try it out.

"Want to help me improve my Telepathy?" I asked Levy as I walked over to sit next to her. She nodded in response, knowing what our plans were for fighting Lullaby.

We started off slow since she was still drinking her coffee, but when she finished, we began practicing a bit, doing our best to stay perfectly synchronized while moving around. We moved on to using some weak Spells–making sure not to damage the plants in the garden–while ensuring that we didn't get hit by our own attacks.

That was working out fine until one of her Spells went sideways due to her still being sleepy. It was a weak one since she wasn't really trying, and I could've easily avoided it if I wanted to. However, an idea sprung in my mind as I watched the weak Sword Spell fly my way.

My Magic knowledge was extremely high, if I said so myself, and I understood Magic better than almost anyone else. I was also familiar with her Solid Script after seeing it so many times, so even though I didn't know the exact structure of her Spell…

I reached out with my own Magic, grasping her Sword Spell and broke it apart right before it reached me. Levy froze in place, her head tilted to the side as she blinked at me. She rubbed her eyes and blinked again before saying. "Huh? How'd you do that?"

"I used the weak points of your Spell structure to just break it apart," I said as I started thinking of ways I could use this in combat and outside of it.

"Tell me more," Levy cooed as she hopped over with shining eyes.

We returned inside the house after, sharing a quick meal while I began explaining how I Dispelled her Magic in my own words. Telepathy was extremely helpful for this, though I was reminded I needed to create a way to share even more information with her as I had promised her to figure out a way to teach her Allspeak. Perhaps I might need to create a new Spell for Archive just for things like that.

"I'll see you later," Levy said as she gave me a quick kiss. "I need some stuff to buy for my Enchanting and Alchemy works."

"Anything I can do to help?" I asked before she ran off.

"No." Levy shook her head but then stopped in place. "Actually, could you save those gold ingots for me? I'll need them for Enchanting."

"No problem," I replied with a nod. "They are yours if you want them."

"Thank you," she ran over to give me another kiss before rushing off while waving her hand. "Love you, bye!"

"Love you too." I waved back and took a step before I froze in place, realizing what had just happened. My heart thumped in my chest, feeling as if it was about to burst out of it any moment now. The smile on my face stretched from ear to ear as I continued walking, now with a skip in my steps.

The feeling of extreme joy only got better as I reached the Guild, and I burst open the doors with a loud, "Lunch is on me today!"

Cheers was the response I received from the members present, and I walked inside the kitchen, greeting Mira with a big hug before spinning her around. She giggled in my arms and held onto me even when I dropped on her on the ground.

"I'm happy to see you too," Mira said as she placed her head on my chest, arms still around neck.

"Mhm." I nodded, placing my head on top of hers for a second, just enjoying the moment. We stayed like that for a bit before we moved on, and I connected to her with Telepathy as we began working in perfect synchronization.

'I heard you might be going after a Demon with Cana,' Mira said, and I felt the worry that accompanied her words.

'Yes, I've made sure to prepare as much as possible,' I replied and explained everything I had done so far, like recreating Devil Slayer from scratch and how I researched Lullaby's abilities, for example. Though she still seemed worried despite that.

'I'd feel better if you bring at least one more person with you,' she said.

'That's the plan,' I nodded at her. 'I am thinking Elfman, Natsu, or Levy can come along. Or maybe all three of them.'

'That's good… that's good. Maybe…' Mira trailed off and shook her head.

'Maybe?' I asked with a tilt of my head.

'Nothing. Don't worry about it.' Mira offered me a bright smile as we continued with cooking for the Guild.

"Hey, bro," I said as I sat next to Elfman after delivering his food. The large grin and the way his eyes lit up in happiness was all I needed to know I had said the right thing.

"Bro!" Elfman laughed loudly, ignoring his food to clasp me on the shoulder with his massive hands.

"How have you been?" I asked after he calmed down a bit.

"Ah…" Elfman paused, staring at his food. "Not as manly as I would've liked."

"What's wrong?" I asked in concern. Elfman was one of my best friends, and I wanted to help.

"Just… haven't found any good Beasts for me, and I haven't had much success with my Magic," he replied with a deep sigh. "Yeah, you don't need to tell me how unmanly I am,"

"Really?" I asked with a raised eyebrow. "I still think you are one of the manliest people I know."

"You don't have to lie to me, that's not very manly," Elfman replied, still looking down at his food.

"I'm not" I shook my head. "I think you are very manly, and I know that I wouldn't have been here without your help. I might not use the Griffin that much in combat now, but it's one of the reasons why I'm this strong now, and it's all thanks to you bringing me on that Job."

"Really?" Elfman looked up with hope in his eyes.

"Of course!" I replied without hesitation. "Say, how about we go and do some training. I need to put on some more muscles to look as manly as you."

"Ha! You came to the right person!" Elfman slammed his hands on the table. "I will make you the manliest man in existence!"

"That's the spirit," I replied, ready to get up.

"But after I eat my food," Elfman replied with a cough, awkwardly looking away.

I chuckled in response, waiting for him to quickly devour his lunch before we walked over to our training area.

We started off with a simple workout to get our blood pumping, but after spending an hour of focusing on our muscles, we moved on to a spar.

"Punch like a Man!" Elfman yelled as he struck with his fist from a nearly unpredictable angle, making use of the Beast Style I taught him.

However, I was the creator of that fighting style and knew how tricky it was, so I managed to evade with my impressive speed and appeared beside him, striking him hard.

Elfman tumbled on the ground from the force of my attack, but he quickly got up and pumped his chest. "Just like that!"

He rushed at me without hesitation as if he didn't feel any pain from my attack. I prepared for his own follow up, blocking it by crossing my arms, which trembled from the force. I shrugged the pain and struck him with a Lightning Fist, though he only skidded back this time. Lightning danced around his body, but Elfman just shrugged it off, completely ignoring the paralyzing effect.

We were fairly equal since I couldn't make use of my own Beast Style in this form, and I didn't want to use my swords against a friend. However, that changed once I started using some of Lord'oran's Spells.

Elfman managed to fight off the Sweat Dreams, but the Illusion Clones were another story. He managed to spot me once I initially used it, but I quickly hid amongst the clones, and the fight turned one-sided after that.

Nevertheless, I felt we both gained quite a bit from the spar, and we sat down on the ground to rest a bit after we finished.

"Hey, we're going to go fight a Zeref Demon with Cana tomorrow. Want to join us?" I asked while drinking some water.

"You're my brother, of course I will join you," Elfman replied without hesitation.

"Nice!" I gave him a thumbs up and asked, "Wanna continue working on our Magic? I feel like I'm close to improving my Satan Soul."

"Sure," he said and looked at the ground. "Though I don't know how much I will gain from this…"

"Bah, I'm sure you can improve your Magic as long as you put your mind to it. You are a Man, after all, right?" I quickly replied and added. "Plus, I can even share some of the things I learned about Beast Soul with you."

"Yeah…" Elfman said as he balled his hands into fists. "Yeah! I can do it as long as I put my mind to it!"

"That's the spirit." I patted him on the shoulder as we began working on our Magic.

Satan Soul Passive Bonus: Lord'oran: +30 to Seduction rolls and +15 to Persuasion rolls. Voice becomes even smoother.

My tips and tricks were helpful to Elfman, and he managed to improve how much power he drew from his Beasts. However, I couldn't figure out why he couldn't transform more than two of his arms. To me, that made no sense as that was actually the more advanced way of using Beast Soul, so I thought he should've had an easier time transforming his entire body.

Nevertheless, he improved his Magic, and I was happy to be helpful even if I felt disappointment in myself. He thanked me for the assistance and left after, stating that he would be at the Guild in the morning and prepared to leave with us.

I passed through the building, quickly finding Cana drinking on her own. She was staring off, but quickly snapped out of her thoughts once I dragged a chair next to her.

"Hey, pretty boy," Cana said as she threw an arm around me. "How you doin?"

"Doing well," I replied, sneaking an arm around her waist. "I finished with all my preparations for the fight, and I even researched the Demon to know what we are up against."

"Mhm." Cana leaned her head against my shoulder as I got to tell her about what I found out and did the past couple of days.

"Bah, you worry too much," Cana snorted as she snuggled closer. "We can handle it with just the two of us."

"It's better to be safe than sorry," I replied, using Makarov's words. "And I'd rather not risk you getting hurt."

"My knight in shining armor," Cana chuckled in response.

"I do have some nice shiny armor," I replied with a chuckle of my own.

Cana snorted before smiling softly and closing her eyes. "Let's stay like this for a bit."

I pulled her closer and just enjoyed the moment with her, just silently cuddling together. A bit later, I felt… as if something dangerous had just marked me as prey, and I looked around the building, trying to spot that feeling I just felt. However, I didn't locate anything. I kept on alert for a while longer, but the feeling never came back, so I focused back on Cana and how soft her body was.

We separated later after agreeing to meet up in the morning. She kissed my cheek for goodbye, promising with a whisper something more exciting after we dealt with the Demon.

I returned home, finding Levy in the Enchanting room playing around with the gold I had left her. She had even bought some special ear plugs for everyone, saving me from doing it myself. We had a nice meal together before going to bed, and I made sure to show her how thankful I was before we fell asleep.

It is now Monday, August 22nd, X783.

I woke up next to this amazing girl, and I made a reminder with Archive to find a way to improve my Clone Spell so I could do anything through it, allowing me to just stay in bed and just enjoy hugging Levy. Yeah, I should probably focus a bit more on that Spell in the near future, though we first had to deal with Lullaby.

And I had to take care of my garden. I couldn't forget about that. My trees were already as tall as me, growing far faster than I expected them to, to the point where they might even start producing fruits in about a week.

Since there was still a few hours before the sun came up, I figured I could use this chance to improve my Storm Devil Magic even more since it was a good counter against Demons and Devils. Plus, I needed to improve my attacking Spells as I relied mostly on my enhancing ones, so it was time to focus on Lightning Fist and Storm Shred.

Since we were up against a Zeref Demon, I figured we could ask for some extra help, just in case we weren't as prepared as I thought we were. Of course, Levy was the first person I asked while we had a quick breakfast.

"I don't think I will be very useful in the fight, and I might just get in the way," Levy said, biting her lips. "But I can stay back and help if anything goes wrong. Like firing a few lightning Spells your way from a distance to recharge you."

"That sounds perfect," I replied with a smile. "And I can leave some Health Potions with you if we end up getting hurt."

"Sounds like a plan." Levy nodded at me, and we finished our breakfast.

We then made our way over to the Guild where Cana and Elfman were already waiting for us. I wondered if Natsu was around since I wanted to see if felt like joining us. He definitely had a lot of firepower that could be useful to have on hand.

Unfortunately, Natsu had run off yesterday after hearing another rumor about a Dragon. I hoped he had more success this time and managed to find his father. It would've been nice to have him around, but I thought we were still fine, especially due to how prepared I was for this fight.

I summoned four wolves for all of us to ride on, but Levy and Cana hopped on mine, squeezing me between them. Elfman tried to use Take Over on the wolf again, and like last time, failed to accomplish anything with that.

"What?" He asked as I shot him a look. "It looked more real this time…"

We rode off after that, with Cana hugging me from behind while I held onto Levy. Elfman looked at us weirdly at first, but he didn't say anything. On the way, we discussed a bit of what to do, and I handed them all the ear plugs that Levy bought for us. Those would nullify most of Lullaby's Magic, but we still had to be careful.

Thankfully, I managed to improve my Telepathy to the point where I could communicate with all of them at the same time, even allowing them to speak with each other while I had the Spell active.

Soon enough, we reached Oshibana, and I began following the instructions from the notes, searching for the place where the Demon was supposedly sealed at.

Finding the location took us no time at all since we had the instructions, and we ended up hiking up a mountain while riding on the Wolves. Since we were getting close to the Demon, Levy hopped on top of another wolf and trailed a good distance behind us.

Soon enough, we ended up reaching a cave, and I double checked to make sure this was the right place.

"This should be it," I said to the group.

"Then let's get to it," Cana replied as she jumped off the wolf.

"Let's face this Demon like true Men!" Elfman followed her lead, and both began preparing their Magic.

We cautiously entered inside, letting the large group of monsters lead the way. My wolves were at the front with Cana's creatures right behind them.

The cave wasn't that big at first, but it slowly became wider and wider, until we ended up in a massive cavern. A massive magical barrier blocked the entrance to another large and seemingly empty cave. The Demon was nowhere to be seen, though I spotted a simple wooden flute on a pedestal in the middle of the cavern.

"Now what?" Cana asked as she tapped the barrier, finding that it physically blocked our path.

"I can try to dispell this," I mused, watching the barrier and studying it carefully. "It shouldn't take me more than a moment."

The barrier appeared to be more complicated than I thought it was, but I knew how to quickly break its magical structure in a second. However, before I did that, I told everyone we should use our ear plugs here. All of us did that, and I used Telepathy to connect us all in preparation. With that done, I quickly broke the magical structure of the barrier, and we cautiously entered inside the large cavern.

The place was empty, and there were no signs of the supposed Demon there at first. Except for the weirdly demonic looking flute that had a skull on top.

'Do you think that's it?' I asked, pointing at the flute as I stepped closer. That's when I felt its demonic energy and quickly said to the group. 'That's the Demon!'

I immediately activated all of my Spells, and they prepared themselves just as quickly. I wasn't sure if the Demon hard heard us, but before we could attack him, he transformed, turning into a monstrous wooden creature with three eyes and a large hole in its chest, nearly reaching the top of the cavern in his new form.

"…..!"

I felt a wave of energy harmlessly pass through us, and Lullaby looked like he was laughing. However, he paused, his three eyes blinking at us in confusion.

"….!" Lullaby said something and snarled before he screamed. Another wave of energy passed through us, and he stomped his feet in anger after seeing it do nothing.

Lullaby might've been a massive creature, but his speed was nothing to scoff at as the second he realized his Curse Magic wasn't working on us, he immediately attacked with its fists. I had just enough time to block his punches with my shields, and he broke through more than half of them with his attack.

'Attack while he's focused on me!' I said through our connection.

Elfman rushed in without hesitation, delivering multiple punches with his scaled fists. Barks of wood flew everywhere from his attacks, and Lullaby began thrashing around, forcing him to disengage.

Cana commanded her monsters to attack at that moment, and three beams of lightning, wind, and water flew at Lullaby, striking him above the chest and nearly making another hole in his body.

My wolves jumped in as well, gnawing and slashing at his legs, destroying small parts of his wooden body.

"...!" The Demon roared–or at least I thought he did–and a massive amount of energy began gathering in his mouth. I acted quickly, summoning even more shields right in his face right before he fired his Spell. The energy blew right in his mouth, and his jaw fell off from his face.

'Attack now!' I told the rest as I saw him wobble in place. I immediately rushed him, followed by Cana's three monsters and Elfman.

My sharp claws slashed through his wooden body as I focused on his right leg in an attempt to topple him down. Cana's monsters focused their attacks on the same limb, and we succeeded in cutting off the Demon's leg.

Meanwhile, Elfman punched his other leg like a madman, before managing to crush it with his fists. Lullaby fell down, swinging his arms wildly around.

'I got this!' Cana jumped at that moment, summoning her barrier and blocking its attack. Elfman didn't stop even for a second and continued his assault, destroying large parts of its wooden body.

I used this chance to rush towards its head, slashing with my claws while running up its body. Lullaby tried swinging at me, but I used my lightning body to pass right through his attack before I reached his head and pierced his demonic eyes with my claws. He tried thrashing around, attempting to fling me away but I held on with one claw while continuing my assault, using my Storm Devil Magic to pierce through his defenses.

I felt his energy begin weakening, and his movements slowed down before he slumped down. Sensing that his demonic energy was beginning to disappear, I immediately used Take Over on him as this was the perfect moment for that.

Lullaby couldn't really resist me in his current state, but I didn't want to risk keeping him here, so I immediately pushed him towards Lord'oran.

"For me?" The Incubuc asked with a coy voice. "I would've preferred something a bit more meaty, but I guess an Etherious will do."

Lullaby broke apart into energy, and Lord'oran quickly absorbed it all, to the point I felt slightly scared of him.

"Don't worry, sweetie," he said with a loud moan. "I'm with you for the long haul. Just make sure to use me more often in the future."

I regained my senses and shook my head, glad that he wasn't going to turn on me. Though I would've preferred if he wasn't so… lustful. Either way, it was time to see what we got from defeating a Zeref Demon.

There was just a compass and a small transparent bag with three seeds inside it. I looked at two, tilting my head in confusion.

'Is that it?' Elfman and Cana both asked as they came over to take a look.

'It seems so,' I replied, trying to figure out what they did before I decided to just throw them in my Inventory.

'So what do they do?' They asked.

'One is a compass that points at the nearest Demon or Devil and the other is a bag with seeds for Sakeyashi Fruits.' I explained as I read their description.

'You think those are fruits that taste like alcohol?' Cana asked, already salivating at the idea.

'Maybe… we will figure it out after I plant them in my garden,' I replied.

'So the fight is over?' Levy asked, and we confirmed that Lullaby was defeated. She came over to inspect the cave and take a look at the barrier while I began storing the cut off parts from the Demon, figuring they might be useful for something.

Gained Demon Compass, Sakeyashi Fruit seeds, and Demonic Wood.

There wasn't anything interesting inside the cave, so after Levy noted down some of her thoughts about the barrier, we left, making our way to Magnolia and planning how to celebrate this victory.

Cana wanted food, alcohol, and some alone time with me. Levy was okay with this, stating we should spend some more time together. Elfman wanted food, and he was happy with that alone. Levy was fine with food, though she wanted to study the compass, both of them actually since I had that other one that pointed at the nearest object made out of precious metals.

We made the plans as we returned to Magnolia, and I decided to make this a big event. People tended to visit the Guild to get a free meal when I was there, so I figured I might as well cook for everyone today.

We arrived back at Fairy Tail, and we quickly informed the Master that we were successful in our endeavor, permanently ending one of Zeref's Demons. Of course, he praised us, mostly for how well prepared we were for it.

"Bah, we would've taken him down either way."

"He stood no chance against our manliness."

"He would've been much harder to deal with if we hadn't prepared for him."

"I didn't participate, so I can't say."

Makarov shook his head, but he still congratulated us nonetheless. Now, it was time to party and to prepare a meal that people won't forget for a very long time!

I even put on a chef outfit for the occasion, trying to act a little bit fancy, and I pulled out a large mirror from my Inventory to take a look.

"What a dashing chef," Mira said as she walked over, fixing up my collar and buttoning me up. "I'd say you are even tastier than the food you prepare."

"Mira," I said with a pout.

"What? Do you think I'm lying?" She replied with a glint in her eyes.

"I think you are teasing me," I said in return.

"Perhaps." Mira cutely tilted her head. "Perhaps not. Who's to say?"

"You?" I shot back at her with a raised eyebrow.

Mira hummed in reply, a finger trailing up and down my chest, but she didn't say a word in response. Feeling a bit bold, I decided to tease her back, and I took a step forward, causing her to step back until she was up against the wall. I leaned forward, stopping right in front of her face, seeing how her entire body quivered in delight. "So are you just teasing me?"

"Oh," Mira replied with a shiver as he hand gently caressed my cheek. "We should really have that housewarming party for you. Tomorrow at the latest."

That response surprised me slight, but she wasn't done as Mira raised herself on her toes to reach my ear. And then she bit me lightly before whispering, "I wasn't teasing."

She pulled back with a large shark-like grin. "Now, shall we do some cooking?"

"Mhm." I nodded my head rapidly, not daring to say a word back.

Mira giggled in response and bumped me with her hip before we began our challenge. Because it truly was a challenge. I didn't really mean it when I thought that I wanted to cook for everyone in Magnolia. Just figured I could make a few dozen, maybe a hundred people at most happy with my cooking. However, a few hundred came by in the first hour alone.

It seemed like everyone in the city actually came by to try my food, and they kept coming and coming and coming. I wouldn't lie, it was a bit tiresome, but the smiling and happy faces of everyone made it all worth it. Sure, I had to use almost all of the edible monster meat I had, but this was a memorable experience even to me.

Not to mention that I felt like I understood cooking even better than ever, to the point where I considered trying my hand at making something with those special fruits of mine. I looked at the two in my Inventory before deciding on doing something with the Peaches of Strength. Yeah, that was perfect. For my last meal of this day, I would create the perfect peach cobbler.

The peach cobbler came out perfect, and I served some to myself with a few scoops of ice cream. I tried one bite, to see how it tasted, and then I couldn't stop myself from eating. Bite after bite, I ate it all in a record time, devouring the entire cobbler by myself.

Before I could understand what even happened, I felt energy surged through my body, making me feel stronger than ever. Well… in my normal form, that is. I was still much, much stronger when using my Take Over forms.
