Idea 19.
I'm open to people suggesting things like ships but remember I write Fem!Izuku (Izumi) x other girls and I'm more interested in some pairs than others. Rare pairs are very welcome, you all know me.
Relationships such as potential friends, mentors, or family members (adoption is fine)
Miscellaneous stuff like what school Izumi may attend or if she didn't, whether she's a hero student, criminal, or villain, key parts of her personality, hero and quirk names and story titles, what type of story it is, hell you can all even suggest where OFA goes, etc.
Instead of just putting out ideas, I also did a little writing for each one but that DOESN'T mean this beta writing would be in the story if said idea takes off.
Anyways, feel free to leave suggestions in the reviews and of course which idea they pertain to.
Enjoy, more notes at the end!
Title: (?)
*Reiko POV*
Perhaps only Reiko noticed it but Itsuka was an endlessly paranoid and cautious person when she was alone.
It was a stark contrast from how she acted normally but when Itsuka thought she was alone she was nervous and jumpy. Her head would dart at invisible noises and her eyes wandered from corner to corner as if she was being followed by something only she could see. Reiko hadn't been able to breach the topic, Itsuka was far too disturbed by whatever it was for the gray haired girl to feel comfortable asking, but she did wonder just what was capable of scaring the big sister of 1-B to this extent.
Reiko had remembered earlier in the year when one of their classmates had asked Itsuka why she wanted to be a hero and the orange haired girl was about to answer before she paused and a single drop of sweat trailed down her neck. She still managed to give a response but it felt forced and faked, as if someone else had put the words there or as a cover for something. There were other times when someone would call out to Itsuka but she wouldn't notice it, like she couldn't hear them, and a couple of the other girls in 1-B had noted hearing the orange haired girl wandering about the dorms late into the night. It was a strange thing, especially for Itsuka, and tonight Reiko had actually gone and peeked out of her room when she heard the orange haired girl's door open.
The class rep looked exhausted but also terrified as she crept along quietly and maybe Reiko herself was tired but when Itsuka froze in place, her back straightening and her breath stopping, the gray haired girl thought she saw some kind of mist hovering around Itsuka's shoulders. Not a moment later, it disappeared and the orange haired girl sunk to the ground and clutched her head while silently apologizing over and over.

*Itsuka POV*
Itsuka hated the sound of cicadas.
It had started infrequently and out of nowhere but every so often the orange haired girl thought she would hear them but they were never there. It hadn't been enough to warrant much concern but then sometimes she felt as if someone was whispering in her ear or brushing against her skin despite her being alone at those moments. Itsuka didn't believe in ghosts but one day her classmates had asked her why she wanted to be a hero and she felt two hands on her shoulders and a familiar voice breathing in her ear from behind.
"Remember that you killed me," it whispered with a giggle while pointing a finger and pressing into the side of her neck.
Midoriya Izumi, the quirkless girl who died a little over a year ago.
They had been in different classes and were acquaintances at best but Itsuka had been the last of the people that knew Midoriya who was with her at the time of her death. The orange haired girl tried not to remember the gruesome scene but since coming to U.A she found herself tormented by what appeared to be the greenette's ghost. It took everything that Itsuka had to try and ignore the foggy spirit when she was around others but it didn't seem to care and found different ways to make her react. It was with her for every moment of the day and at times its form would quickly blink into clarity with both Midoriya's previous appearance and a bloodied one as if to say that she would never let her forget what happened.
When Itsuka was too tired to resist, the ghost would take her by the hands and gently guide her along while the buzzing of cicadas played in the orange haired girl's ears and almost inaudible words came like static behind them. The spirit would sweetly whisper painful reminders to Itsuka, somewhat similar to what others had done in the past about Midoriya's quirklessness, and the orange haired girl wanted to breakdown with every comment.
"I looked up to you."
"I hate you."
"You could have saved me."
The greenette's ghost constantly uttered those comments while clinging to Itsuka tenderly but in truth it was also echoing some of Itsuka's thoughts.
She might have been able to save Midoriya from dying that day, she might have been able to save her from her painful loneliness even just a little bit, but she hadn't and Itsuka was going to regret it forever. Itsuka dragged herself up from the ground and returned to her room and sat at her desk while a glint of moonlight bounced off of something. It was a key chain that she had taken off her school bag last year, a spider lily, and a few tears hit her desk.
It was summer huh?
Notes and Stuff
Quirk: ?
Hero Name: ?
I'll be honest I don't know what I'm doing here but it's here. Probably did it cause I listened to Shoujo Rei again.
I guess it's true that you put your favorites through hell cause I seriously don't give Itsuka and Izumi any breaks.
I suppose I wanted to do something with the premise of Izumi being dead and I'd read a few using Izuku being a ghost and helping people but I figured why not make Izumi instead be vengeful and tormenting. Even more so I thought it'd be interesting to present it in a way that it could either be a quirk or all in Itsuka's own head. Then again it'd be strange to have no actual Izumi in the story but that could be a new challenge for me in its own right.
Anyways the update for The First Steps Upwards, it's not done yet though, is currently at 4 chapters worth and will likely go up to 5 so when I do get that out then it'll be a lot to read there.
Anyways, feel free to leave me suggestions in the reviews!
