Idea 53: Quirk Log 3

Less ideas but more writing. Another one for the quirk logs.

Quirk Log 3

(Loser Girl)

This idea could both be in the yuri collection or a standalone fic. The initial premise of it was purposed for a pairing but as I expanded on it then I saw a route to make it standalone.

I debated on a number of pairs and kind of narrowed down to Kinoko or Mina.

"She's just..." "perfect,"

She was cute, in a disaster sort of way...kinda, but Setsuna clearly had a different definition of perfect than her friend. Said perfect girl had just tripped over her own feet, producing an ugly groan as she now lied face down in the hall, and she swiped up her belongings with frantic waving and hissing like an agitated animal before scrambling away from the scene.

Izumi taller and on the somewhat lankier side? Disaster loser lame-o Izumi? (Messy, tall and slim, nerdy, super gloomy, awkward)

I wasn't sure on a quirk with that idea but on the expansion of it I got a general idea.

Quirk: Dark Boost/Beast

Related to Redestro (Uncle)? Quirk fueled off negative feelings, feeling betrayed puts it at max and Izumi becomes lost to her beast side. Turns into some kind of monster? Appearance undecided.

I figured that Redestro, while generally caring for her, also manipulates Izumi quite well to make use of her quirk. Imagine if let's say Izumi was both friends with Curious and Toga, which happened randomly but Redestro encouraged once learning it, who is already in the LOV. During the League's attack on the MLA Izumi would feel completely betrayed by Toga and go to her max mode which her Uncle could easily direct to help annihilate their enemies.

(Citrus) ?

Here's another idea that could be in the yuri collection but could be a standalone from expanding on it.

I came to this one from a lack of Mina ideas so I considered what kind of Izumi I wanted to pair with her and what dynamic they should have. Eventually I settled on a hero Mina at around 22 or so but she's having a bit of financial trouble in her personal life. She has an agency but a lot of her money goes to it and damages, her quirk is acid, so she's a bit troubled money wise in terms of her home finances and daily life money. Also she's just not great at finance stuff in general and can overspend on stuff here or there.

Izumi would be slightly older than her, I was thinking maybe 24-26, and they hit it off with Izumi essentially being her hyper successful moneybags girlfriend who spoils her with cash. Okay forget tiptoeing she's basically her sugar mommy.

Now then, the expanded idea had it that Izumi is part of the Detnerat company, also the MLA, and is quirkless. She was scouted by Chitose and was part of the school paper at her high school and used her quirk analysis for side columns and now Izumi uses her quirk analysis to help create the lifestyle support items of the Detnerat Company.

Izumi would generally be sweet but domineering and in control.

This idea was more just for fun and was inspired by the comedy manga called 'Dasei 67 Percent'. It'd would be a slice of life likely with no pairings and I'd be focusing on a group of characters as they hangout at someone's apartment. I'm unsure if it'd be from their high school days or early 20's as I'm not set yet. Izumi would be in or from 1-B though as the characters I initially picked are all from 1-B. Maybe this would just be a modern, no quirk AU. Idk yet.

(Summary)
The place was never empty and their days were never boring.

"I say a Godzilla movie!" (Setsuna)

"Godzilla Vs. Megalon!" (Izumi)

"I guess. It sounds fine." (Yui)

"No, absolutely not." (Itsuka)

"What! But it has tag team wrestling!" (Setsuna)

"It has Jet Jaguar!" (Izumi)

"On second thought..." (Yui)

"We can do a Godzilla movie but no 1970 Godzilla." (Itsuka)

"BOOOO!" (Setsuna and Izumi)

"Maybe let's just eat first."(Yui)

Hearing the muffled sounds of two voices and music Itsuka sighed as she entered the apartment knowing that they were going at it again.

Removing her shoes and moving from the entrance way, she made for the living room catching sight of her three friends. Yui, who was curled up on the couch, noticed her and waved a peace sign before scooting over to make room for Itsuka. Izumi and Setsuna were happliy spinning about during a musical interlude and each flashed her a toothy grin while they prepared to continue their singing.

Itsuka plopped down next to Yui handing her a bag of snacks that her quiet friend happily opened. "So, when did this happen? I was only gone for like 15 minutes."

The black haired girl shrugged, still fixated on her newly acquired snacks, "The second you left." Once again Itsuka just sighed at her friends' shenanigans. "They're starting again," Yui remarked while she turned the bag to Itsuka. Grabbing a small handful, the orange haired girl settled in for the rest of the song.

(Our Precious Sweet Time) ?

This was another Itsuka x Izumi one as well as a slice of life idea.

It would be Itsuka going through the years of her hero training as well as her interactions with the girl she sees every morning on the train there. I didn't have a set quirk or personality for Izumi yet and I feel this would purely be slice of life.

Itsuka had seen the girl a number of times before, they did in fact ride the same train although Itsuka's stop was before hers. She had even sat next to her before and from a third person's point of view they could be the image of two friends quietly riding home together. They never spoke a word to each other but Itsuka cherishes their time together like nothing else.

Itsuka was exhausted the first time she met Izumi. She had spent the day dealing with her classmates trying to pick fights with the other hero class, preparing for the upcoming Sports Festival, and the pressure of feeling the need to prove herself. With all those things weighing on her she quickly dozed off to the rhythmic sway of the train.

When she started waking up Itsuka felt strangely comfortable, her cheek resting against something soft and warm, and drowsily she nuzzled into the warmth but slowly stopped when her mind caught up with her. Itsuka lifted her head and her eyes opened and shifted to try and take in her surroundings. She had been propped onto another girl's shoulders, who she was sure hadn't been their when she had fallen asleep, and much to her embarrassment the girl gave her a sideways glance and a sweet nod before her focus shifted to back her phone.

Itsuka's face burned and she returned the gesture before she sat up straighter. Side eyeing the girl she took in her features. Deep green hair that curled in all directions was pulled into a high ponytail and wrapped within a red ribbon. Her face was framed by her bangs and dotted with freckles. Big, brilliant green eyes stared at a phone screen, shifting up and down at whatever she was looking at. She was around Itsuka's height, a little on the leaner side but not unhealthy, and probably around her age. However the girl didn't have a school uniform on, instead a two toned jacket over a plain shirt, a simple pair of rolled up jeans, and blocky eye catching red sneakers not unlike Itsuka's minty green ones.

Before Itsuka could observe her anymore, they were at her stop. Collecting her things, Itsuka quickly tapped the girl on her shoulder who looked up curiously and popped out an earbud, clearly waiting to see what she wanted. Itsuka could feel her voice bubble up and then quickly die beneath the girl's gaze, and as those almost startlingly green eyes looked up at her she could only manage a quick bow of gratitude, her face starting to redden once more. When she peered back up the girl gave her an amused smile before she returned to her phone, earbud moved back into place. Taking it as a clear indication that their encounter was over, Itsuka swiftly exited onto the platform and made for the trek home, all troubles left forgotten.

Most of these fell into the slice of life and yuri collection field, save some should I expand on them, but I still think they make for good reads should I polish them up.

As this is my first batch of quirk logs, and I've cleared out a decent amount of ideas, there may or may not be anymore logs coming soon. I'll have to look through the rest of what I have as well as just see what my brain cooks up overtime.
