AU: This is a day after the events that will happen at the Mass Funeral FYI.
Usually Kakashi was extra sensitive to movement. Nothing could move around him without him knowing it. But it seemed like his senses had dulled. He could no longer sense even noise making civilians when they changed his clothes and checked his vitals while he slept. He didn't like it. Something was wrong with him. But he felt nothing. His chakra was rising and forming just fine, and while injured, he could still feel his body parts.
Since he couldn't figure out why he couldn't sense anyone any longer, he decided to keep awake and only feign sleeping. Perhaps they were putting something into his body while he was sleeping that made him this way.
But that proved fruitless. They did nothing. They injected nothing into him or put anything into his IV drip. His only thought now was that this was some type of emitter quirk. It was the only explanation to the circumstances he was in.
But if so, who exactly was it coming from? At all times, he had about 10 people guarding his door. 8 males, two females. There were guards at other spots throughout the hospital on different floors, with the number varying depending on how close it was to him.
Kakashi thinks that if they wanted whatever quirk they were using on him to be effective they would have to be closer to him. Meaning that whatever is being used on him had to come from one of the ten guards guarding his door.
He plans for escape. This will make that even harder. Still, with enough of his injuries healed, he could simply fight his way through. Even injured, he doubted any of them could beat him in a head on fight, but without his trained instincts in sensing danger, he didn't truly know if he wanted to go through with the plan.
While he is worried, he knows he has to calm his mind and not thing about it. They will know something is up if he's too antsy, and if they buff up security even more, escape might be a forgone conclusion. He keeps himself calm and focuses on healing. He lets himself go to sleep...
When he wakes up, he feels something for the first time. But it isn't movement. He feels weight on top of him. He knows it isn't his weight because he feels off balance and warmer than he usually does. He hears the faint sound of another breath, quickened breath. Aroused breath.
He opens his eyes. He sees blood. It's his blood, he can smell it.
There's a girl on top of him, licking it off her hands seductively, suggestively. She stops when she spots his eyes on her. Her hands drop to her sides and her chest heaves in excitement. He recognizes her. Messy blonde hair in two buns and that starstruck gaze. In the underground fighting area, that's where he'd seen her before. Kakashi wonders how did she find him, and how did she get in.
"Oh, you're finally awake, hubby. I'm sorry I started the fun without you, but I'm sure we can make up for lost time."
His heart rate picks up as she smirks, drool sliding down her lips.

Bakugo's eyes swivel. He keeps looking around, and finding the same scene standing before his eyes over and over. The video that they are looking at isn't real, he knows that. The populous think otherwise and voices it out with varying degrees of seriousness. Some don't take it all too badly, probably because they already find Kakashi guilty and want nothing more than to see him locked up far away.
Other, more passionate people voice their concern and disdain for what they see. He wonders if they are idiots. How could they have seen the video and not think that it was less gory. He saw it almost instantly. The thought never crossed his mind that this could be something else.
Anger swells up inside and he pulls up Todoroki's phone number. The long ring further infuriates him and when he finally gets past the last ring, he's near exploding.
"Hey! What the fuck is this, IcyHot!"
"It's some video. It's going around and it isn't right."
"Well duh! Anyone with half a brain cell would realize that it isn't fucking real!"
"Wait," he turned around and saw Kirishima holding up his phone with the video still playing on it. Even Mina looked confused as she stared at him. "So, this isn't real?"
Bakugo wanted to say a lot of things, but at this point—knowing the redhead it wouldn't amount to anything more than him wasting his breath.
"Like I said, anyone with half a brain cell would know." He said, talking back into the phone.
"Hey!"
"Bakugo, who's with you?"
"Hard head and the pink bitch."
"Hey!"
"Where are you guys right now? I'm with Iida. We can meet up somewhere and try and locate the source of where this is coming from. There's no way the source isn't coming from somewhere close."
"Ha! As if I'd help that arrogant bastard Kakashi. This is just what he needs."
"What the hell are you talking about!" He demanded, sounding angrier.
Bakugo didn't care in the slightest. "That bastard is the reason we're getting so much shit, you know. Fucking think about it, if he didn't do that shit back in Hosu none of this wouldn't have happened."
"You weren't there. You don't know all we had to go throu-"
"Oh yea, like killing villains solves all your fucking problems! Get over yourself! I don't give a damn about what you think! I'm not surprised you agree with that bastard since you beat him and I didn't, right?"
"What are yo-"
"Both of you just think you're so much fucking better than me because of your dumb parents! Well, think again! I'll show you both what a true hero is and prove I'm better than you both!"
With that declaration, he hung up and angrily stuffed the phone in his pocket. "Hey, you two, come on! We're going to find the prick doing this!"
The two stared at each other as Bakugo walked away, fuming. They nodded once, and then followed after him.

Edgeshot had been waiting patiently for a while. He had been called to Hero Commission's Office to talk with the president and the rest of the officials. She had been out on other business—so he'd been told—so he had to wait.
The entire time, he was wrapped into his phone. Going into the official news, forums, and just any discussion about Kakashi and the Hosu disaster. He should've been there. No, rather, he should've stopped Kakashi coming from altogether. The fact that Kakashi killed so many weighed heavy. It was on his watch. He knew Kakashi was dangerous—he was told so too many times by too many. This was something waiting to happen, he should've realized that.
But he didn't want to believe that a child so young was a killer. He didn't want to think that the world, that a person would sink as low as to turn a child into a killer. He overestimated his ability, and underestimated Kakashi's.
It had been so long that someone had been able to out speed him. There were only a handful of people that could keep up with his speed. It made him more prone to making mistakes, mistakes that costed lives.
But Kakashi was something else. Kakashi was too skilled for his age. Too willing to kill. Too sharp. Too smart. Too fast. He was just too much. A bigger part of him struggled with the thought that he would've been able to stop Kakashi even if he saw him as a legitimate threat.
The thought would probably keep him awake all night. Thankfully, he didn't sleep much anyways. At least the thought of meeting the Hero Board was less dreadful, though it would probably even out with how annoyed he'd be. He'd never liked them. They were too cooperate for his likeness—too off. Something was off—his instincts screamed it, and he listened to those instincts because they saved lives and his life for far too long. They were the exact opposite of him. They sat and schemed under the falsehood of something truly heroic, while he was a free spirit that moved about the world. He used to be indifferent before reaching the top ten. Their politics and policies drove him nuts.
"Edgeshot-San, Ms. President would like to see you now."
He blinked, looked up from his black phone screen and turned to the secretary—who had been the one to speak.
"Yes, thank you." He took slow steps to the where the room was, declining needing to be shown. He had been here before, long years ago. He had good memory.
He opened the door to the large room, and shut it behind him. He hoped to find a way to get this over quick, but people like this tended to stretch things out more than necessary.
He held in a sigh, glad for his mask covering his frown, and looked up into the eyes of the president herself.

Todoroki was really trying not to set his phone on fire. Why did Bakugo have to make everything a competition? He didn't understand, this was too serious for that. But Bakugo didn't see it that way. He saw the situation as a way to one up him and prove some type of superiority.
He was getting real tired of it. Too many had come up to him to challenge themselves and prove themselves stronger. He was a human, just like they were. He could understand wanting to be stronger, but they weren't seeing him past his strength. No one did, he felt. No matter what he did he was a Todoroki before he was Shoto. He was just Endeavor's prodigal son.
"Dammit, that Bakugo! Can't he tell this is serious?!" Tenya looked to be in disbelief. "Truly, disgusting! How could he turn someone turning this day of celebratory mourning into some type of game?!"
He stuffed his phone into his pocket harder than necessary. "Don't know, but we've got to find him fast. He's too noisy, and if we don't deal with this quick it could ruin an already somber day."
"You're right, but where should we start looking?"
"Damn, was just going to ask you the same thing."
"Oh, Todoroki and Iida! I didn't expect to see you two here!"
Both teens turn and see a classmate they didn't expect to see.
"Aoyama?
XxX
He was really doing this. Spying. On his classmates.
He always felt bad. Bad that he kept letting others control him, and tell him to do things he didn't want to do. But here he was, yet again doing something that could get his classmates killed.
And he had a smile on his face. Sometimes, he didn't know how he did it. He didn't know how he could be so normal and yet so evil all at once. It was a scary thought, how someone so inconsequential could be the sole factor in something so messed up. That he could be the reason people were hurt, and killed.
And here he was, doing it again.
"Aoyama, what a surprise." Tenya said with a respectful bow, his hat sliding off a bit. "How are you doing?"
He wished they weren't so kind, it would make it so much easier.
His facade broke, for a second. A second for his memories to pour into his mind. The memory of just three days ago.
A tear fell down his face. He was really going through with this. He really was a coward. An unforgivable coward.
Flashback
"W-why are you doing this?"
All around him were remnants of what his house used to be. Walls were decaying, and the furniture was broken and tossed to the side in pieces. No room left unturned. Fear and hesitation had set in long ago. Even as his parents tried to defend him, to defend their home, he didn't move. A single step. Because for all his theatrics, he was a coward.
Now, he only had proof to fuel that truth. Before, he could easily have pushed it away.
The villain before him and his family smiled, enjoying the sight of them beneath them on the floor, his chapped lips expanding into a grin.
"We did what you said!" His father yells, defiant. His mother hadn't found the strength to yell.
"Yes, you did. Unfortunately, times are changing and we have new characters to use." His gloved hand scratches his arm as his single eye widens. "The family is no longer needed. Dabi, if you would?"
The man beside him smirked as he held up a single arm. He only saw a spark of fire before his quirk activated in fear, sending him flying back into his parents. They hit a wall, and a painting halfway hanging to the wall had finally come down, striking him over the head and sending him onto the ground.
His head hurt. He barely heard him mother's worried voice yell his name, but he felt her shaking him.
His forced his eyes open.
Blue flames greeted him.
He didn't know if his body was just preparing him for death but, his fear had gone away as his body went slack. He didn't feel anything anymore. Or maybe he went into shock from fear. Nothing made sense anymore.
Instead of flames torching his skin and killing him, they were stopped. He couldn't believe his eyes. In front of the blazing blue, his father took the attack for the both of them, caring eyes starring at him all the while.
Flashback end
A smile he wished he could be proud of made its way to his face. "It was ok. Having no homework was the best part of it."
"I'm sure it was, but do not forget that we are student of UA High! We must keep to our studies to ensure continued success!" His usual hand chops accompanied his loud boast.
"Hey, Aoyama, come with us." Todoroki had a serious look on his face, and he was walking away as if he were on a mission. "We have something to deal with, I'll explain on the way."
He wondered what he's got himself into.

Pakkun was at a lost. His master lost to this world, and he had no information to find him. The world is too big and full of different scents to track him down, and there's far too many places to look.
Buildings, warehouses, tunnels, and even underground; he could be anywhere and Pakkun had not a single clue. He wanted to call the rest of the pack but barely half were field ready and even the ones that were hadn't been on the field at all. Kakashi hadn't had time to train them much while out on different missions because of the war. He had to make due, but getting them motivated like Kakashi did was something he found difficult. Not to mention Bull's insane appetite. He didn't always want to use his snacks as bribes.
'But I have to find him.' Not only because of his own worry, but because of their shared allegiance to Konoha. They were in the middle of war and needed to get back. They couldn't stay too much longer. Kono-
His thoughts froze just as he had. The others were still home, and while they couldn't help him in his field search they could spread his message. Bringing his front leg to his mouth, he bites and lets the blood run along the ground before running it along it. Once he did, he summoned his chakra and the ground underneath him lifted.
Smoke exploded atop the roof of a tall building.
Once it cleared, Kakashi's Ninken stood tall, all young but no less dangerous for normal people.
It was time to send a message back home.

"We've got a confirmed kill committed by the Yakuza. They're finally on the move, sir."
One of the smartest men on the planet sat before a computer screen, showing the remains of what had been killed from gang violence. It's ugly side finally showing its head after all these years, just like he predicted. Not with his quirk, but with his own brain. The power vacuum that the League of Villains created would cause other organizations to step up.
The Yakuza were no different. They were just a step ahead, because they'd been planning a resurgence from the very beginning.
Light reflection hid his eyes as a single drop of rain tapped his window. He turned around, seeing it and walked over to the window, staring at it. Staring at the large city below. The drop of rain signaled the start of a change. It was silly, but somehow he could feel at this very moment the villains were mobilizing and planning their next precise strike.
More rain tapped upon the window, and before long it was storming. Surely, that meant something.

A drop of rain hit his coat.
Danjuro huffed. "Well, now's as good of a time as any to get this show on the road. The fans are waiting for the next encore."
"Gentle, come in. Gentle, come in. Do you hear me?"
"Yes, yes," he answered pressing his hand against the ear piece in his right ear. "What is it, dear? The fans are getting restless."
"I-I think we should rethink this plan. I've spotted several top heroes here, this is a bad idea. Mirko, Crust, Endeavor, and several other heroes from UA and abroad are here."
"That's wonderful! Views will skyrocket if top heroes are part of the performance! This couldn't get any better! I'll talk to you later, dear!"
"No! Wai-"
Shutting the transmission off, he rolled his shoulders. "Time to get to work."
Author's Note
Rather short chapter I know, but I always find it hard to write set up chapters rather than a chapter where everything is set up and all I have to do is write it out.
Saying that, the next chapter will release in two days and I should release at the very least once a week. I know the release schedule hasn't been that good but this took a while to write so I hope you enjoy.
Saying that, see you in less than a week!
