9. Chapter 9

Hello everyone, sorry for the wait, many things to do. Now it's time for a chapter that's from the show, but before that a little announcement.

Now as you might have heard from my other stories. I thought of a crossover story of my Kipo Story being mixed with Zootopia, and there's a broad summary of this crossover.

Set years after the ending of Kipo, life is going well for all of them, there's peace in Las Vasta, and they even started families and have their kids. But one day while Kipo and Kalena are out by themselves, they're forced on a mission to find someone lost in Zootopia if they want to go home to their families. And along the way, they make friends with a rabbit and fox. Now can the four of them work together and find who they're looking for and bring peace to the city, or will the city tear itself apart before they can complete their mission.

Chapter 9

Heart of Gold and Family

A Mountain Range Far From Drake City

In a mine in the mountain far from Drake city, dwarf miners were working like any other day, when the min started to rumble. "Run! Get out of here!" One of the miners said, as the mine started to collapse.

But while escaping the ceiling collapsed on them, and would have crushed them, if not for Mysticons, minus Daiki, showing up, with Skarmory, Quaquaval, Corviknight, Pinsir, and Golisopod out with them.

And thanks to Arkayna using a spell to stop the rocks from hitting the miners, they were safe. "Look! The Mysticons!" A miner said to everyone, as Arkayna's spell started to fail.

"Run!" Zarya said to the miners, as she and the other Mysticons fired energy blasts into the mine, destroying any rock that was falling onto the miners. "Out! Everyone out, now!" Emerald said to everyone, as the Pokemon ran inside the mine.

"Skarmory/Corviknight!" Skarmory and Corvinight flew into the mine, their wings glowing silver, and smashing the rocks falling from the ceiling.

"Quaquaval!" Quaquaval said, as she did some fancy food work, sending water blades flying into the mine, cutting up the rocks.

"Pinsir!" Pinsir said, as he ran into the mine, and used his Strength to grab rocks out of the air, and threw them into some other rocks, smashing both of them.

"Golisopod!" Golisopod said, as he fired long green energy needles from his back into the mine, smashing all the small rocks falling down on everyone.

All of this allowed the miners to get out safely, well, all but one. "Help me…" A miner said, making Emerald noticed an old dwarf trapped under a large rock. "Herreck!" Emerald said, as she ran into the mine, and used her shield to force the rock off Herreck!"

"Let's go!" Emerald said, as she held up her shield and protected Herreck, as they all ran out, with the other's cheering her on. "Don't worry, as long as my shield holds out, we'll be-." Emerald said to Herreck, but stopped talking when her shield went out.

"Golisopod!" Golisopod said, as he ran inside, made his arms turn silver, and protected Emerald and Herreck once he reached them. "Thanks Golisopod." Emerald said to Golisopod, as the cave started to collapse at a faster rate. "But we need to get out of here! RUN!" Emerald said to everyone, as they ran, avoiding a few large rocks.

Once they were outside, and safe, Arkayna hugged Emerald, glad to see her safe. "Thank you, Mysticons. We're honored to have you here at Rudik's Hollow. And I'm forever in your debt, Musticon Knight." Herreck said to everyone.

"Not necessary, friend. I was merely upholding my code of honor-." Emerald said to Herreck, but Herreck interrupted her. "Quickly! Bring more jacks!" Herreck said to the other miners, as they got back to work, not that Emerald noticed.

"-which requires I help those in danger-" Emerald said to Herreck, before Mika slapped her side, making Emerald noticed Herreck was gone. "And, you're gone. Okay." Emerald said, disappointment in her voice.

"So, any word from Tempo?" Mika asked Arakyna, as they walked to their griffins. "Still nothing. He keeps ignoring my calls." Arakyna said to Mika, as she pulled out her phone, and showed all the calls that she made, but none of them got through.

"Is he still mad? It's been a week." Piper asked everyone. "I wouldn't know. He's been avoiding us, and he hasn't come home." Arkayna said to everyone. "Hopefully Tempo is okay." Mika said to everyone.

"Let's forget about Tempo for now. Let's just marvel at this magical valley." Arkayna "Yep, she's a beaut. Up you go." Emerald said to Arkayna, pushing Arkayna to her griffon.

"Whoa! Hey! What's the rush?" Arkayna asked Emerald, trying to stay off her griffon. "Um, it's just, me and Topaz are late for the- salon?" Emerald said to Arkayna, surprising the griffons.

"Yeah, she's gettn' her feathers done, and I'm gettin' my hair… feathered, so…" Emerald said to everyone. "Okay, you're lying. What's up?" Mika asked Emerald. "Aw, what a cute little townie-poo." Piper said to everyone, making them notice a small town nearby.

"Wait… Rudik's Hollow. Isn't that your hometown, Em? Zarya asked Emerald. "Ugh. The "Jewel of the North"." Emerald said to everyone.

"Oh, my goblin! I can't wait to see where you grew up. Let's go!" Arkayna said to everyone. "Shouldn't we go back and check on Daiki." Emerald said to everyone.

"I'm sure he's fine. Let's go." Akrayna said to everyone, as everyone but Emerald returned all of their Pokemon to their Pokeballs, and hopped onto their griffins.

"Last one there's a dirty rotten zombie!" Piper said to everyone, as they took off into the air. "Wait, no! Guys? Guys! It's super boring." Emerald said to everyone, trying to stop them, but falling.

This caused Emerald to return her Golisopod to his Pokeball, and hopped onto Topaz's back. "Nothing ever happens there. Guys!" Emerald said to everyone, as she flew after everyone.

And while the Mysticons flew away, they were unaware of Dreadbane, who was operating a big drill, and some of his forces. "It should be here." Dreadbane said, looking at a scroll.

"General Tibion! Find me that solaryite." Dreadbane said, before looking at a skeleton with fancier armor, and ram horns for a helmet.

"Spectral Hand, dig!" Tibion said to the troops, starting them to dig. "Once we find that ore, the Mysticons will cower in fear." Dreadbane said, thinking of the Mysticons being scared.

Rudik's Hollow Village

Back in Rudik's Hollow, everyone was outside a small house with an orange roof, in their normal forms, with their starters out with them. "This is so awesome! We get to meet your family." Arkayna said to Emerald.

"Ya, I'm gonna check on the griffons. They don't like being tied up in the woods so…" Emerald said to everyone, as she tried to leave, but was stopped by Zarya. "They'll be fine." Zarya said to Emerald.

"Ding-dong. Ding-dong. Ding-Dong. Ding-Dong, ding-dong, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding." Piper sang, as she and Choko played with the doorbell, but was stopped when Mika grabbed Piper's arms, and Choko's tail.

"Piper, Choko. What have I told the two of you about playing with a doorbell?" Mika said to them. "If you're another scam artist trying to sell me a fake forge-." A female said, as a female dwarf exited the house.

The woman had the same skin color, hair color, eyes as Emerald, but had glasses over her eyes, the same hairstyle as Emerald, but had a extra not in the middle of her pontrail, she was wearing a dark purple t-shirt with a black sleeveless jacket over it, and a long brown skirt that reached pasted ehr angles, and brown shoes. And in her hands was a large wooden hammer.

And next to her was a very large grey cat, with a white circle going around it's chest and up to bending its neck, the middle of its body looked like a fluffy white cloud, a spiral tail that went into the fluffy cloud, long pointy ears with purple tips, yelled eyes, and two whiskers on both sides of its face that looked like they could form a 8 at the end if it was connected.

The woman stopped talking, and lowered the hammer when she gasped, and noticed Emerald, who was trying to leave.

"Great garnets! Emerald!" The woman said to Emerald, making Emerald freeze and turn her head to the woman. "Hey, Mom." Emerald said to the woman, not exactly sounding excited.

"Purugly!" The large cat said to Emerald, with a mean look on her face, as Emerald turned to everyone. "And hello Purugly." Emerald said to Purugly, making Purugly smile at Emerald.

"Oh my-" Emerald's Mom said, as Emerald walked up to her and hugged her, but Emerald's Mom stopped talking when she saw Arkayna. "Oh my, and Princess Arkayna. I didn't know we were getting a visit from the royal family. Is Daiki here as well?" Emerald's Mom asked everyone.

"Sorry, he's busy today, and couldn't make it." Arkayna said to Emerald's Mom, as Emerald's Mom noticed a strand of her hair out of place, making her gasp.

"My hair." Emerald's Mom said, before running inside. And making a lot of clattering sounds, surprising everyone.

"Purugly." Purugly said, sounding embarrassed by Emerald's Mom actions. "My brush! Where's my brush! By my anvil, it's the Princess!" Emerald's Mom yelled from inside the house, causing Emerald to put a hand on her head.

"Oh, great goblins." Emerald said, as her mom came out of the house, that strand of her head was back in place. "It's an honor to be in your presence, Your Highness!" Emerald's Mom said to Arkayna.

"The honor is all mine." Arkayna said to Emerald's Mom. "Do I bow or curtsy?" Emerald's Mom asked Emerald, whispering. "Mom…" Emerald said to her Mom, sounding embarrassed.

"Oh, etiquette be darned. Come here! Oh…" Emerald's Mom said, as she ran up and hugged Arkayna. "Mom!" Emerald said to Mom, worried her mom was out of line.

"Em, it's fine." Arkayna said to Emerald, as Emerald's Mom broke the hug. "Curse that Dreadbane. What he did to your parents was just terrible." Emerald's Mom said to Arkayna. "Mom!" Emerald said to her mom, getting annoyed by her mom. "Thank you." Arkayna said to Emerald's Mom.

"Em's home!" A boy yelled, making everyone turn to see to young dwarf bows running towards them, both wearing suspender pants and a with white long sleeve shirts, both having long hair that curved when the reach the side, the difference was one had brown hair and suspenders, and the other one had the same hair color as Emerald and her mom, and wearing a green suspender.

And with the boys were a dark purple cat, with a long tail, patches of white fur, and sharp green eyes.

"Em! Em! Em! Em! Em!" The two boys said, before they started fighting in front of everyone. "Get out of my way!" the orange haired boy said to the brown haired boy. "You get out of my way!" the brown hair boy said to the orange haired boy.

"Incineroar? Can you do your thing?" Emerald asked Incineroar. "Incineroar." Incineroar said to Emerald, nodding yes. "Incineroar." Incineroar said, as he grabbed the two of them and held them apart in the air.

"Everyone, meet my brothers, Halite and Ferrus." Emerald said to everyone. "You smell funny!" The orange haired one, aka Halite, said to the brown hair one, aka Ferrus. "Yeah? Well you smell ugly!" Ferrus said to Halite, as Piper moved to the boys, giggling a little.

"Hi!" Piper said to them, making them stop fighting and look at Piper in surprise. "Ah! An elf!" Both Halite and Ferrus said at the same time, before Incineroar put them down, and they ran inside. "Purrloin." the dark purple cat said, as he followed them inside.

"Set the table for our guests. And use the good hammerware." Emerald's Mom said to the boys, before they heard the rumbling of thunder, and saw storm clouds rolling in. "Come on in, girls, before that storm hits." Emerald's Mom said to everyone.

"Of course, ah… What can we call you?" Mika asked Emerald's Mom. "You can call me Citrine or Mrs. Goldenbraid." Emerald's Mom said to Mika, before hugging Emerald.

"I missed you, Pootinkle." Citrine said to Emerald, before she broke the hug. "Oh, just wait till your Dad sees you!" Citrine said to Emerald, as she went inside the house with Purugly.

Once Citrine and Purugly were gone, everyone laughed at Emerald for such a silly nickname, before going inside. "Yes, it's hilarious." Emerald said to everyone, really forcing herself to smile, as everyone walked past her before going inside.

Once everyone was gone, as it started to rain, Emerald groaned, as she lowered her head in shame.

As the rain came down, everyone was eating some soup at a large table, with the Pokemon eating in another room. "Mm, this is delicious, Mrs. Goldenbraid." Arkayna said to Citrine, enjoying her food.

"Ugh, I'll take street food over home-cooked any day." Zarya said to everyone, earning an elbow from Mika and Arkayna. "Don't be rude. Just taste it." Arkayna said to Zarya. "Fine!" Zarya said to Arkayna, before sniffing her soup.

"Bleh." Zarya said. "Just eat it. It tastes better than it smells." Mika said to Zarya. Zarya then took a little spoonful and ate it. And Mika was right, it tasted better than it smelled. "Mmm…" Zarya said, with a big smile on her face, before slurping it all down.

"Totally disgusting." Zarya said to everyone, before stealing Arkayna's soup and eating it. "So… gross." Zarya said while eating. "Just keep your hands off my gross food." Mika said to Zarya.

It's great to finally meet all your friends, Pootinkle." Citrine said to Emerald. "Mom…" Emerald said to Citrine, sounding embraced, before the place started to rumble. "That wasn't ominous at all." Zarya said to everyone.

"Just the tremors." Citrine said to Zarya. "The tremors?" Emerald asked Citrine. We're learning to live with 'em. Nothing to worry about." Citrine said to Emerald, before they heard some thunking, and turned to see Halite playing with Piper's right eye.

"Check it out, Ferrus! An ear banjo!" Halite said to Ferrus, making Emerald a little mad, while Piper didn't mind. "Halite!" Emerald said to Halite. "Mmm, ya. Oh, yeah. Up, someone gimme a beatbox." Piper said to Halite and Ferrus.

Halite and Ferrus then started to beatbox. "Beat, beat, beatbox n' a banjo cooler than cool, 'cause I'm a freestylin' rhythm. And I'm don' it old school oh, dwarves in tha house minin' gold for real. I'm an elf foreign' rhymes, outta pure steel. Say Piper, go Piper." Piper sang, as she and Choko danced, and everyone else moved around in their chairs.

Well, everyone but Emerald, who covered her face with her hands. "Someone, please make this stop." Emerald said, as she put her head on the table.

"Cooler than cool. 'Cause I'm a freestylin' rhythm. And I'm doin' it old school." Piper sang, before sliding on the floor, and making record scratching noises, all with her eyes closed.

But Piper slid and made the record noises in front of a male dwarf and a cat.

The male dwarf had brown hair, with a bushy mustache and beard that reached to the middle of his chest, brown eyes, a bushy eyebrows, black boots, and a faded red suspender pants under his dark blue pants

The cat was a very hairy grey cat with some of its hair being lighter and darker than other parts, it stand on two legs, had a mess of hair that looked like a beard under its mouth, which had sharp white teeth, orange eyes and a black helmet on top of it's head, with two curved horns on the side with a silver tip, two small spicks. And a silver coin in the middle of the helmet.

The sight of the man and cat made Emerald and her family gasp. "Go Piper, yeah Piper. Who's Piper?" Piper sang, before crashing into the man. That's when Piper noticed the man, who didn't look too happy.

"Um, Hi, Em's Dad." Piper said to Emerald's Dad, earning a grunt from him. "Dwarf Daddy in the house." Piper said to everyone, as Emerald's Dad grunted again, and walked past Piper. "Perrserker." The cat said before walking away to the other Pokemon

"Wonderful Piper." Citrine said to Piper. "Wasn't that wonderful, Malachite?" Citrine asked Emerald's Dad, earning some noncommittally grunts. "Uh? What?" Mika asked everyone. "He said's he's not a fan of "the rap"." Citrine said to Mika, as she walked to Malachite.

"Pootinkle stopped by with her friends. We're in the presence of royalty, dear." Citrine said to Malachite. "Oh, it feels like just yesterday you were leaving to go to work at the palace. How's that going, anyhoo?" Citrine asked Emerald, as she took her set.

"Oh, great. Bussy, busy, busy. Really should… talk about soup." Emerald said to everyone, not walking to talk about her life. But Malachite grunted in confusion.

"Stop being so modest. Pootinkle is amazing. She's talented, tireless, and in the history of the Royal Family, there's never been-." Arkayna said to everyone, with Emerald trying to stop her with a lot of no's, but failed. -A better griffon wrangler." Arkayna said to everyone, causing Malachite to spit out his soup.

This caused everyone to look at Malachite. "Oh, I'm sure it's very, uh… interesting. What with all the… feathers." Citrine said to Emerald, as Malachite slammed his fist into the table, before walking away.

"What'd I say?" Arkayna asked everyone. "I get the feeling, it's not what you said, but what Emerald's not saying." Mika said to Arkayna, as she gave Emerald a mean look, with Emerald having a sad look on her face. "I need to get some fresh air." Emerald said to everyone, as she left.

"Best family dinner, ever." Zarya said to everyone, as Citrine had a worried look on her face. Seeing all this, Arkayna decided to go talk to Emerald. Arkayna found Emerald hugging her legs on the front porch. "Are you okay?" Arkayna asked Emerald, as she stepped outside .

"I was so embarrassed for my big city friends to see the hole-in-a-rock where I grew up. But it turns out, my Dad is even more embarrassed of me." Emerald said to Arkayna. "I'm sure he's not. Go. Talk to him." Arkayna said to Emerald, as she sat next to Emerald.

"Not sure if you noticed, but my Dad's not a big conversationalist." Emerald said to Arkayna. "All I know is I'd give anything to talk to my parents again. It's worth a try." Arkayna said to Emerald. Emerald said nothing, but moved her head slightly, still having that sad look on her face.

Rudik's Hollow Mine

Back underground. Dreadbane and his forces kept digging, and Tibion moved to show Dreadbane a large chunk of titanium ore. "More Titanium, My Liege." Tibion said to Dreadbane, only earning a growl from Dewadbane, who tossed the titanium away, taking out one of his soldiers.

This made everyone stop in horror. "We have to find the cavern. I must have it solaryite." Dreadbane said to Tibion, as the others got back to work. "Only the dwarves know its true location." Tibion said to Dreadbane. "Then I suppose we'll need a dwarf." Dreadbane said to Tibion.

"But they guard the location of the Heart of Gold with their lives." Tibion said to Dreadbane, "Then let's see how many lives it's worth to them." Dreadbane said to Tibion, before laughing evilly.

Rudik's Hollow Goldenbraid House

Back on the surface, in Emerald's home, Emerald was walking down stairs to Malachite, who was working on some jacks, with Perrserker sleeping next to Malachite. "Hey, Dad Huh, I thought dragons were hoarder." Emerald said to Malachite, as she looked around at all the junk he kept in the basement.

"Reinforcing the jacks to protect the mines against the tremors? Try a little grease." Emerald said to Malachite, as she walked up to him. But Malachite just grunted at Emerald, as he put down his tools, and put up the jack.

"Hey, where's my old mech? It still rusts my bolts that we took second place at that Battle Fair Enchanted Hydraulics, solaryite drill tip. She was a beast." Emerald said to Malachite, as she looked around.

Only for Malachite to grunt, telling her to focus. "Uh, a three-quarter incher should do the trick." Emerald asked Malachite, pulling out a wrench from a tools box. But Malachite just grunted and turned away from Emerald.

"If that power couplet hadn't failed, we'd've taken first place for sure." Emerald said to Malachite, only for Malachite to start banging the jack.

"By the Hammer of Harmon! Work, you blasted piece of junk!" Malachite said to the jack, as he banged it making it work. "Hey-hey! He speaks." Emerald said to Malachite. "I sold the mech for scrap. After you left." Malachite said to Emerald.

"Dad… I know you don't approve of what I do. But I think if you saw me at work, you'd be really proud." Emerald said to Malachite. "That's not a three-quarter incher. A real engineer would know that." Malachite said to Emerald, pointing to the wrench in her hand, making Emerald sad a little.

"Okay. I'm just gonna put this back between the "I don't care" and the "I'm outta here" wrenches. Happy Engineering!" Emerald said to Malachite, as she tossed the wrench away, and walked away in the sadness.

Malachite reached out a hand. "Em…" Malachite said, worried about Emerald, going after her, but was stopped when he hit his foot into his tool box. "By the Hammer of Harmond!" Malachite, feeling the pain.

"Stubborn old piece of coal." Emerald said, as she walked up the stairs, and walked passed Herreck. "Ah, Teenagers." Herreck said, looking at Emerald, before walking to Malachite.

"You okay, brother?" Herreck asked Malachite. "Let's get to the mine." Malachite said to Herreck, fighting through the pain, as they left, with Perrserker waking up and following them.

Meanwhile, Emerald returned Incineroar to his Pokeball, and ran to Topaz. And once she got on Topaz's back, she made topaz fly off, all the while feeling really sad. "Come on, Topaz. Visiting here was a bad idea. Let's go home." Emerald said to Topaz, as they flew away.

Inside, everyone was chilling out, looking around at all the pictures, while Citrine was showing Arkayna how to carve solarytie. "Excellent technique, Arkayna. My mother taught me how to carve solaryite when I was your age." Citrine said to Arkayna, before Arkayna broke the solaryite.

"Oh bugbears! I'm sorry. Oh, I still feel so bad for running dinner." Arkayna said to Citrine. "Arkayna, you couldn't have known." Citrine said to Arkayna, hugging her.

"Okay, Em was pretty cute." Zaray said to everyone, showing off a picture of Emerald, as she was a very young girl, sitting on Malachite's shoulder, holding a silver trophy, with both of them having a big smile on their faces.

"Oh, my goblin, she was adorbs!" Arkayna said to everyone. "And they're both so happy. Makes you wonder what happened to them." Mika said to everyone. "Em and her dad used to be so close. It broke his heart when she left to go to the city." Citrine said to everyone.

"If I grew up here, I'd never leave." Zarya said to everyone. "Zarya?" Arkayna asked Zarya. "Don't tell us our tough city girl likes the quiet country life?" Mika asked Zarya.

"Huh? What? Uh, I mean it's alright. But those tremors are pretty annoying. And, not to be mean, but your soup-." Zarya said to Citrine, but stopped talking when Citrine hugged her. "Never mind." Zarya said, liking the hug.

"So what happened between Emerald and her dad?" Mika asked Citrine, causing Citrine to break the hug. "Her dad had big plans for the family business: Malachite & Daughter"." Citrine said to Mika.

"There's always "Malachite & Sons"." Arkayna said to Citrine, before they heard the boy belching with Piper. "Ha, come on, is that all you got?" Piper asked the boys.

"Ooh, the elf's talkin' trash." Ferrus said to Halite. "She thinks she's got game." Halite said to Ferrus.

Piper then inhaled deeply, before letting out a loud belch, that the boy thought came from her burp. But in reality it was another tremor. "Oopsie! I think I broke the valley." Piper said to everyone. "I'm sorry." Piper said, whispering.

"No, it's another tremor." Citrine said to Piper, before an alarm sound, making Citrine gasp. "There's trouble in the mines! You girls stay here." Citrine said to everyone, as she left. "Dad!" Ferrus said, before he and Halite ran out as well.

"Come on, it's magic hour." Arkayna said to everyone. "We really need a better battle phrase." Mika said to everyone, as they turned into their Mysticon forms, and returned their starters, and let out Skarmory, Quaquaval, Corviknight, and Pinsir.

Meanwhile Emerald was still flying away, ranting to Topaz. "I shouldn't have come back, Topaz. My dad didn't understand me before and he doesn't understand me now! Ugh, and I'm so tired of his grunting! Hey, Dad, I'm home. (Grunting). Hey, Dad, meet my friends. (Grunting). Hey, Dad, I'm a Mysticon who's saving the realm from evil. (Grunting)." Emerald said in her rant.

"Sounds like you and your father need to be locked in a room, and have some big feeling talk." A female voice said to Emerald, making Emerald turn her head to see El floating next to her.

"Hi Emerald." El said to Emerald, waving at her. "El? What are you doing here? And how are you even up here?" Emerald asked El, very confused to see her floating next to her.

"Come on Em, you should know by now that I ignore many laws, and that gravity is one of them. And I caught the scent of some sweet pain, and it led me to you." El said to Emerald.

"Don't call me Em, you haven't earned that right." Emerald said to El. "Then you want me to call you, Pootinkle, then?" El asked Emerald, surprising Emerald. "How do you know that name?" Emerald asked El.

"I know a lot of things. I also know that relationships with parents and daughters can be complicated." El said to Emerald. "And how do you know that?" Emerald asked El. "Have I never told you, because I'm a daughter as well." El said to Emerald.

"Were you a disappointment too?" Emerald asked El. "A disappointment, no. A major headache, yes. And who said you're a disappointment?" El asked Emerald. "My dad. You probably know how he talks to me." Emerald said to El.

"For how you acted. It sounds more like he doesn't know how to talk to you. I'm sure he still loves you with all his heart. But you're his little girl, and he's still trying to see you for who you are, and not the little girl that made a mech with him." El said to Emerald.

"You really know too much, and it's creepy." Emerald said to El. "Thank you. Now turn this griffin around, and go make up with your dad before it's too late." El said to Emerald, surprising Emerald.

"What are you talking about?" Emerald asked El. "Do you think those tremors plaguing your town are a natural thing? No, a fool is tunneling under the valley. Looking for something special that you all have. And in doing so causing the valley's underground to become unstable. It's only a matter of time before your dad, who thinks setting up machines will help the problem, is crushed by the ceiling collapsing, and maybe after that, the valley will probably collapse, probably taking the rest of your family." El said to Emerald, with a smile on her face, and a look of terror on Emerald's face.

That's when Emerald's phone rang. "And if you don't believe me. Answer the phone." El said to Emerald, as Emerald answered her phone, and saw it was Arkayna. "Hey, what's up?" Emerald asked Arkayna.

"We're heading into the mine. There's been a cave-in. Daiki's not answering, and we need you." Arkayna said to Emerald, over the phone. "Cave in?! Wait, where's my dad?" Emerald asked Arkayna, before noticing El smirking at her, causing Emerald to understand what El was talking about.

"Good luck Emerald. And remember sometimes what you need is stuffed in the back." El said to Emerald, before disappearing.

Rudik's Hollow Mine

In the mine Herreck got pind under many of the rocks falling from the ceiling. Malachite wasn't, and he tried to pull Herreck out of the rocks. "I won't make it. Save yourself." Herreck said to Malachite.

That's when the jacks started to break. Lucky Perrserker smashed the rock, getting Herreck out of the rock. "Run!" Malachite said to Herreck, as they ran out of the mind.

But then, as a rock almost fell onto Malachite's head, Zarya fired an arrow, taking out the rock. That's when Malachite noticed the Mysticons and their Pokemon ran into the mine.

"By the Hammer of Marmon." Malachite said to everyone. "Let's get out of here!" Arkayan said to everyone. But that's when Herreck escaped, and the mine entrance collapsed.

"Please tell me there's a back door." Zarya asked Malachite. "Who needs a back door, I can open a portal out of here." Mika said to everyone, as another tremor started. "Another tremor!" Piper said to everyone, as Arkayna heard machine rumbling. "That's no tremor!" Arkayna said, as Dreadbane drilled into the mine.

"What a pleasant surprise." Dreadbane said to everyone. "Bring me the dwarf. I'll deal with the Mysticons." Dreadbane said to his forces. "I'd like to see you try bone-face." Arkayna said to Dreadbane, as she cast a few spell shots from her staff.

But Dreadbane used his gauntlets to block the magic shots and made the shots hit Arkayna, Mika knocking them down. And hitting Skarmory, Quaquaval, in the face, stunning them.

Zarya then tried to shoot an arrow at Dreadbane, but Dreadbane tossed his sword into the ceiling, causing a stalactite to land on Zarya's cap, forcing Zarya to the ground, making her miss her shot, and pind her to the ground.

"The dwarf, now!" Dreadbane said, as his soldiers grabbed Malachite.

"You put that grumpy old dwarf back!" Piper said, as she tried to toss her ring at Dreadbane, only for it to be hooked on something. Piper looked back to see Tibion holding her ring.

Tibion then punched Piper in the face, forcing Piper into a wall, causing her to let go of her ring. Then Tibion tossed the ring at Perrserker and Pinsir, knocking them out. Then Piper fell to the ground. "Aww, look at all the pretty little grissions." Piper said, having a concussion, before passing out.

Then Dreadbane's soldiers tossed Piper, Malachite, Perrserker, and Pinsir into his drill machine. "I'd love to stay and fight, but I have pressing business elsewhere." Dreadbane said to Arkayna, Zarya, and Mika, before driving away.

That's when the mine started to collapse even more. "That's not good." Arkayna said to everyone. "When's it ever good for us?" Zarya asked Arkayna, after Mika removed the stalactite from Zarya's cap.

Then Dreadbane destroyed the jack, causing the mine to collapse. "Just stay close." Mika said to everyone, as she used her naginata to make a portal overhead, blocking any rocks from hitting them.

Meanwhile outside, Emerald reached the entrance to the mine, and worriedly transformed into her Mysticon forms. "Don't worry, Dad! I'm coming!" Emerald said, as she ran to the entrance, only to see it collapsed.

This made Emerald gasp. "No! No! No!" Emerald said, as she let out all of her Pokemon, and her sword, and they tried to smash the rock, but could barely make a dent in it.

"Dad!" Emerald yelled, as she gave up using her sword and tried digging the rocks out of the why. But this made no effect on the rocks.

"No, no, no, no!" Emerald said, before two dwarfs walked up to her. "It's no use. The only thing that'll cut through this. Is a solaryite-drill." The dwarf said to Emerald.

This caused Emerald to think of a plan, and El's little advice about stuff in the back, gave her an idea.

Meanwhile inside the mines, Malachite was tied up to the wall with red magic rope, and put in front of the drilling machine.

"For the Last time, where is the Heart of Gold?" Dreadbane asked Malachite, shooting a laser at him, and only getting a defiant grunt form Malachite.

"So noble. But let's see how noble you are when it's not your life on the line. String up the Mysticon and their pets!" Dreadbane said to Malachite, as Piper, Perrserker and Pinsir were placed on the wall next to him, all of them tied up in red magic rope like him, with an extra rope wrapped around Piper's waist keeping her other Pokemon contained.

That's when Piper, Perrserker and Pinsir woke up. "Huh? What?" Piper asked, before all of them gasp at the sight of the drill moving closer to Piper. As it got close to Piper, she screamed a high pitched scream.

"No!" Malachite said, as he, Perrserker and Pinsir tried to break free but couldn't. "I'll show you the way." Malachite said to Dreadbane. "Excellent." Dreadbane said to Malachite, stopping the drill.

Rudik's Hollow Goldenbraid House

Back on the surface, in Emerald's home, Emerald ran into her basement, and ran into the back like El told her to. That's where she found something large covered by a blanket.

Emerald pulled off the blanket, causing a big mess in the presses, and found a very old and damaged mech suit.

The mech suit was on two legs, a big round body that had a large broken circle window with four metal bars crossing over it in a shape, one arm that was a metal camper, and the other was a drill, and that drill was the only part that was still in good shape.

"My mech? He kept it." Emerald said, as she looked at the mech. "Time for a little upgrade, girl." Emerald said to the mech, before she got to work, fixing up the damage, reattaching old wires , and fusing metal over the open parts.

After a short time, Emerald got the old mech looking good as new. "Now to add a little Mysticon magic." Emerald said, as she pulled out a girl gear around a glass sphere with pink energy in it.

Emerald put that gear in the middle of the mech, making it glow pink as energy swirled around it. "I'm coming, Dad." Emerald said to herself, looking at the mech with pride.

Rudik's Hollow Mine

Back in the mine, with Malachite's directions, Dreadbane found the cavern he was looking for, a cavern with gold color ore all around them, with a large center column in the middle.

"Behold, solaryite! It will be mine. Even if I must destroy this valley." Dreadbane said to his soldier, making Malachite gasp in horror.

Back at the entrance, Mika, Arkayna, Zarya, and their Pokemon, while brushing off the dust from the collapse, figure out what to do next. "We have to find Piper!" Zarya said to everyone. "Yeah, but this is kind of a problem." Arkayna said to Zarya, waving her arms at all the rocks around them.

Zarya then summoned her bow and an arrow. "Zarya, I would advise against it." Mika said to Zarya, only for Zarya to ignore her, and shoot an arrow. This arrow bounced around the cave, almost hitting everyone, luckily it didn't.

"Okay, I'm out of ideas." Zarya said to everyone. "Mika, can you open a portal?" Arkayna asked Mika. "To get us out of here, sure. To find Piper, Malachite, and their Pokemon, nope. And before you ask why, it's because if I open a random portal here, it could end up with us running into a wall. So we need another way to get out of this problem." Mika said to everyone, as the place started to shake. "Now what?" Mika asked everyone.

That's when Emerald came breaking in, inside her mech, Golisopod at her right side, and a very bright light behind her. "Problem solved." Arkayna said to Mika. "Yes, now let's find the other. Emerald if you would?" Mika said to everyone, and asked Emerald.

Back with Dreadbane and his soldiers, they were digging up as much ore as they could get, causing the cavern to fall apart. "You're taking too much. You'll collapse the valley." Malachite said to Dreadbane.

"A small price to pay for this." Dreadbane said to Malachite, holding the ore. 'And if it's any consolation, you won't have to witness the devastation." Dreadbane said to Malachite, getting ready to turn Malachite to bone.

But that's when a pink energy beam, and a furry of green energy needles came out of nowhere, and hit Dreadbane, forcing him away from Malachite. "Gah!" Dreadbane said, as he sat up, and saw it was the rest of the Mysticons. "What?!" Dreadbane asked, surprised to see them, thinking they were dead.

"That's what you get for messing with dwarves!" Emerald said to Dreadbane, as she and Golisopod jumped over the other and landed in front of Dreadbane. Then as Emerald punched Dreadbane, Golisopod slashed Dreadbane with a blade of water, sending Dreadbane flying into the cavern wall.

"Quaquaval use Aqua Step." Arkayna said to Quaquaval, as she jumped into the air and fired magic shots from her staff at the undead soldiers. "Quaquaval." Quaquaval said, as she jumped into the middle of some undead soldiers, her feathers popped out of her tail feathers and floated around her back like a fan. Then as Quaquaval started to spin around water came out of her fathers, and she slashed through the undead soldiers.

"Skarmory use Drill Run!" Mika said, as she rushed the undead soldiers, slashing them with her naginata. "Skarmory!" Skarmory said, as his beck glowed tan, and he started to spin clockwise, smashing through the undead soldiers like he was a drill.

Meanwhile Zarya sneaked up to Piper, Malachite, Perrserker and Pinsir, and made a magic dagger, and cut them free.

"Rise 'n' shine." Zarya said to Piper, who was asleep. "Zarya." Piper said, sounding groggy, as she woke up. "Zarya!" Piper yelled, as she noticed two undead soldiers charged at her.

But one was taken out by an energy blast that came from Malachite holding a jackhammer, and Perrserker's head turned silver and rough, allowing him to smash through the undead soldiers, turning the undead soldier into a pile of bones.

"I owe you both one." Zarya said to Malachite and Perrserker.

With Mika and Arkayna, Tibion was slamming his sword into them, causing Mika and Arkayna to be on the defensive with their naginata and staff, and any attack the tired was blocked by Tibion's shield.

"Skarmory use Substitute." Mika said to Skarmory, as she and Arkayna jumped back. "Skarmory." Skarmoy said, as he shot out a copy of himself at Tibion. Tibion took out the Substitute, making a small explosion.

"Quick, Quaquaval sue Low Sweep." Arkayna said to Quaquaval, as the explosion started to fade. "Quaquaval." Quaqauval said, as she moved to Tibion's side before he could notice, and swiped Tibion's legs, with her orange glowing right foot.

This caused Tibion to fall to the ground, and as Tibion tried to get off the ground, Choko broke a stalactite above Tibion, making the stalactite fall right into Tibion's helmet, denting Tibion's helmet, and giving Tibion a killer headache.

With Tibion now fighting a headache, Arkayna and Mika lined up their right foot with Tibion's face, and then kicked Tibion hard in the face, sending Tibion flying off into the distance.

"Thanks, Choko!" Arkayna said to Choko, as Choko fell from the ceiling and landed on her shoulders. "Someone's getting a special treat when we get home." Mika said to Choko, giving him some pets.

Then Choko panicked, making Arkayna and Mika turn to see Dreadbane ready to attack them.

"Coming though!" Emerald said, as she and Golisopod rammed into Dreadbane, with Golisopod's arms glowing silver. And when they crash into him, they send Dreadbane flying into a wall.

But this caused the place to collapse even more. Dreadbane took this confusion to run back to his drill machine. "Grab as much solarite as you can. I'll finish these "heroes"." Dreadbane said to Tibion, as he made the drill head towards the center column.

"This cavern will be your grave." Dreadbane said to the Mysticons, as she slammed his sword into the controls, disabling the controls, and making the machine go out of control.

Dreadbane then hopped out of the drill, and left with his soldiers. "We have to stop them." Arkayna said to everyone. "Forget them. We have a bigger problem." Mika said to everyone.

"She's right. If it hits the column, the whole valley comes down!" Emerald said to everyone. "My family!" Malachite said, panicking. "Stop the drill!" Arkayna said to Zarya, as the two of them got ready to cast a combo spell.

"Your family's gonna be fine." Zarya said to Emerald and Malachite, as she and Arkayna caused their spell, making a magic blue and green net appear in front of the drill. But the drill easily broke through it. "Not good!" Zarya said, as everyone had a worried look on their face.

"Skarmory!" Skarmory said, as she flew into the path of the drill. Skarmory then formed a green bubble, hoping to stop the drill, and while it did stop the drill for a couple second, the constant attack on the bubble caused it to fade faster than normal, and the drill to continue its charge. "Skarmory!" Skarmory said, as he flew out of the way

"Corviknight/Pinsir!" Coviknight and Pinsir said, as they ran to the drills treds, and slammed their bodies into the treds, with Corviknight trying to break it when he slammed his body into it, and Pinsir trying to rip the treds off.

But the treds were moving too fast, and they couldn't do anything, so they had to abandon their plan, and jump away from the drill.

"Quaquaval!" Quaquaval said, as she kicked water blades at the drill. "Golisopod!" Golisopod said, as he made a blade of water, and charged at the drill. All of the water blades were able to slash up the drill, but couldn't stop it as it moved past Golisopod, and Quaquaval stopped her attack.

"Cosmic?! Can't you make a portal and get rid of it?!" Emerald asked Mika. "It's too big for one of my portals." Mika said to Emerald, as Malachite ran to the drill, and hopped into the driving set. "Need to get it online." Malachite said, as he tried to work the damaged controls.

That's when Emerald moved her mech over, and hopped onto the drill, turning her mech into the gear with the glass sphere with pink energy in it. After putting the gear away, she ran to the driver's set.

"Red wire to the capacitor. Blue to the resistor. Green to the magi board, and we're going to go!" Emerald said, as she re-wired a few things. "Huh?" Malachite asked, surprised by Emerald's work.

"By the Hammer of Harmon! Work you blasted piece of junk!" Emerald said, banging the controls. And that's when Malachite realized that Mysticon Knight was his daughter Emerald. "Em?" Malachite asked Emerald, as the drill controls started to work.

That's when Emerald pulled the brakes, and stopped the drill, inches away from the column. "Hey, Dad." Emerald said to Malachite, getting embarrassed. But Malachite smiled at her.

"Yay! We saved the valley. We saved the valley, wiggety wiggety wiggety whee. Whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop! Whoop. Mic drop." Piper sang, before dropping a ball of sparkles like it was a mic, making a small explosion.

Rudik's Hollow Goldenbraid House

With the valley safe, and Dreadbane gone, everyone returned to the surface, and stood in front of Emerald's home, with the Mysticons, ready to head home, with only having their starter Pokemon out.

"Thank you so much for your hospitality, Mr and Mrs. Goldenbraid." Arkayna said to Malachite and Citrine. "It was our pleasure. But before you go, I want you to have something." Citrine said to Arkayna, as she pulled out a golden ring.

"A dwarven hope ring, to give you strength in your quest to free your parents from Dreadbane's spell." Citrine said to Arkayna, as Arkayna took the ring. "Thank you. Piper, Zarya, Mika, our door is always open. You're part of the family now." Citrine said to them, surprising Zarya, and making Zarya sniffle a little.

"Are- are you crying?" Arkayna asked Zarya. "I'm allergic to mountains! Get off my back, princess." Zarya said to Arkayna. "And if you're ever in town, I hope you would do me the honor of hosting a dinner for you at my family restaurant." Mika said to Citrine.

"Emerald." Citrine said to Emerald, holding out her arms, and Emerald hugged her. "I love you, and please visit us more often." Citrine said to Emerald, as she broke the hug. "I will, Mom. I promise." Emerald said to Citrine, as Citrine cleared her throat, looking at Malachite.

Malachite grunted, while pointing at himself. Citrine then gave Malachite an eye telling him to talk to Emerald. So Malachite cleared his throat. "Yes, um… I'm glad I finally got to see you work." Malachite said to Emerald, making Emerald smile, and confused Citrine.

"How? I thought she was a griffon wrangler?" Citrine asked Malachite. "And I'm…" Malachite said to Emerald, before clearing his throat. "Proud of you, Pootinkle." Malachite said to Emerald.

"Aw, Dad! Whoa!" Emerald said to Malachite, but was surprised when Malachite picked up Emerald, and spun her around, before putting her on his shoulders. Not that Emerald mind. But this did surprise the rest of the family.

"Don't worry, Dad. I'll be safe." Emerald said to Malachite, before kissing his head, and hopping off his shoulders. "Mount up, girls and Pokemon." Arkayna said to everyone, as they hopped onto their griffins. "So long, you little rock rats!" Piper said to Halite and Ferrus, waving goodbye, as they took off.

"Don't go, Piper! We love you!" Halite and Ferrus said to Piper at the same time, as they chased after everyone.

Watching them leave, Malachite pulled Citrine in for a small hug. "Oh… Seriously, she's a griffon wrangler, right? Right?" Citrine asked Malachite, sounding worried.

Undead Castle

Meanwhile, in the Undead Castle, Dreadbane was upset by everything that happened. "Cursed Mysticons! But if you think you've won, think again." Dreadbane said, thinking of the Mysticons. "How much did you manage to retrieve General Tibion?" Dreadbane asked Tibion.

That's when some undead soldiers bumped out three bags of solaryite. "Is there enough solarytie?" Tibion asked Dreadbane. "Just enough, general Tibion, just enough." Dreadbane said to Tibion, before laughing evilly, while looking at a portal device being built, with four slots at the base of the portal.

Underground Room

Meanwhile, in a large dark room, made out of stone, headstones all over the place, and the only light was light blue flames kept in raised fire pits scattered around the room keeping the place barely lit, and in the center of the room was a statue. This statute was of a few tombsstones, a stone skull in front of the tombstones, and many stone spirits that looked like they were floating around tombstones, and like blood veins, dark purple crystal lines covered the statue.

And sitting on his knees in front of one of the headstones was Daiki, who had his hood up, and couldn't see his face in the lighting.

While Daiki just sat there, a man wearing white robes with a circle with a 18 colors and an element symbol for each color on the back of the robes, with a black line coming out of the black part of the circle with a wicked smile symbol and spread around the robes like energy flowing out from the circle, walked up to Daiki

And next to the man was a 3 foot tall dark tan human like creature, a large round head, with a long pointy nose, and light tan mask around it's black eyes like a mask, with mitten-like hands, a large round legs with skinny ankles and flat mitten-like feet. This was a Nuzleaf

"I thought I asked to be left alone?" Daiki asked the man, with a soulless voice, as the man and Nuzleaf kneeled to Daiki. "Sorry sir. But we just got word of the Mysticons saving Rudik's Hollow." The man said to Daiki.

"Good to know. But I ask to be alone. So please leave." Daiki said to the man, the sound of not caring in his voice. "Of course." The man said to Daiki, before he and Nuzleaf left.

Once he was alone, his phone rang, and after he pulled it out, he looked to see it was Akrayna calling him. "Arkayna." Daiki said, his voice sounding like he was somewhere between not caring and irritated. Daiki then hit ignore on Akrayna, and put his phone away.

"I'll deal with her, once I finish what must be done." Daiki said, a heartless tune in his voice, as he stood up, and started to leave.
