Making the Forth a relative of the Asgard from another universe made sense to me. In the little we get about the Forth they are described as Roswell Grey Aliens just with snake like lower bodies instead of legs.
Yes the SULACO is the ship from Aliens, if you saw in previous chapters I mention the system they are going to is Zeta Reticuli 2 which is where ALIEN and ALIENS take place, I do love me some foreshadowing.
Issue with treating the wounded is that the Jaffa staffs are an explosive plasma bolt weapon instead of just plasma. It damages like a mix of Kinetic and energy. They will be able to treat them, I mean the SGC can treat them too it just takes time.
and wouldnt you wanna know who the man watching from outside is ;)
I mean if humans knew for a 100% fact that they were about to be attacked, most would choose to strike first.
No Black Mesa or Combine, the half-life Universe is pretty odd, might make some character references like one of Doctors at the research facility be Doctor Kliener but thats the extent.
Well, to me Reese was made by those humans using ancient technology, and with that she made her Replicators from the ancient knowledge inside her. I think the Replicators themselves are Ancient repair drones, like more advanced ones from the Destiny, and that a culture found the tech and tried to use them except they lacked the programing knowledge so they became out of control. To me it makes no sense if Reese was the origin of the Replicators, if she was the Milky-way would have been consumed before the Asgard became targets since they are outside of normal gate range.
Oasis
Mountains near New Haven Colony

Some of the civilians of New Haven were exploring the nearby mountains, scouting it for resources. A young woman was scanning an exposed ore vein when the ground gave out beneath her causing her to fall into a chamber covered in symbols, she was quickly rescued by her team members but upon seeing the chamber she fell into they immediately contacted the New Haven military command.
Within an hour the entire area was swarming with military personnel, Falcon support craft and Mantis gunships flew overhead as Federation Gecko and UNSC transport razorbacks drove in carrying researchers to examine the site thoroughly.
Halsey stepped out of the GK-12 Gecko adjusting her labcoat before stepping onto the small lift that had hastily been built into the cavern, the whole place was lit up in bright lights and what those lights lit up made the corners of Halsey's lips rise into a smile, here in this ancient ruin, were stargate addresses.

"Yes General, we got a war down here and both sides are to blame for this." Jack said through the M.A.L.P. camera reporting back to General Hammond whose face was on a little computer screen.
The General looked down thinking before returning his gaze to Jack, "Colonel O'Neill do you think their desire for peace is genuine?"
"I'd say so Sir, we asked them to stop their attacks so we could reach the Seran humans and they did, they pulled their forces back across the entire planet." Jack replied, this act actually was quite impressive to Jack and gave a lot of credence to their story. "They even opened us up a tunnel to a major road that will take us straight to this Jacinto of theirs."
Hammond rubbed the top of his bald head for a second seemingly weighing his options, "I hope you're right Jack...you have a go, try and bring peace to Sera...let Jackson do the talking."
Oasis
New Haven Stargate Complex

The Stargate Complex was probably the most defended site on the planet, and Master Sergeant Marcus Stacker was loving it, all these fancy toys at his disposal to protect the gate, the back door to Oasis if you will.
A.I. controlled for the most part but they did have manual capability just in case, Titanium A-3 Battleplate barricades, Cyclonic Kinetic Barriers, Sangheili energy shielding, and Skinny magnetic shielding made up the defensive protection measures, that's not including the advanced Iris shield they developed for the gate itself. Four Terran Brunham MW-5050 Mk. 1 static guns paired with Four UNSC M41 LAAG made up the kinetic turrets. Six shepsu pattern light plasma cannons were mounted on the ceiling with a few dozen Geth combat drones and Systems Alliance combat drones both rocket and mass accelerator were ready to be activated.
The tunnel that connected the gate to the rest of the complex was filled with UNSC made defoliant projectors, Jiralhanae Orgudam workshop made incendiary gel launchers, and Terran Federation Lucifage class flame units. The entire complex could also be vacuum sealed and have dozens of nasty chemical weapons filtered into the air, from VX gas to plasma coolant.
"Alright, lets keep arming this place up!" He yelled out as several Sangheili weapon smiths started to attach Assault cannons to turret mounts. Outside the main complex was even more defenses and weapons, including a full vehicle bay for vehicles that could fit through the gate.

New Haven Military Complex

"Alright people, we now have stargate addresses, using these ones and our A.I. we can now extrapolate more addresses as well." Lasky said to the assembled military command. "What we need to do is make teams to go through the Gate to begin exploring and potentially striking back at the Goa'uld."
A Geth Prime shifted its head flaps a bit, "We should use Geth recon drones to ensure a gate is safe to use, we can pack them with explosives to ensure our technology does not fall into Goa'uld hands."
Everyone seemed to nod in agreement to that, why sacrifice a living person when they had easily replaced VI systems. A few of the commanders were going through personnel databases to look at potential recruits to their Stargate Exploration Teams. Lasky would speak up again, "I recommend special forces of course, people who can easily adapt, I suggest each team have a single Spartan IV, our Spartan III and II operators can likely complete missions all on their own."
A Turian General named Septimus Oraka rubbed his mandibles, "We have Turian Armigers and Cabals that we can add to the Stargate Personnel, Havoc, Ghost, and Saboteur should bolster your forces.
"I agree, I can also provide specialized N7 operatives to the table, I am sure the Asari are also going to offer their Commando, Huntress, and perhaps even their Justicar teams." Hackett added as he steepled his hands together, the Asari representative nodding in agreement.
R'Tas Vadam was the next to speak, "My finest Special Operations are at your disposal, I recommend Sangheili...and the Kig-Yar."
His mention of the Kig-Yar surprised the group, even the Kig-Yar Shipmistress Chur'R-Tel, "A Sangheili recommending us Kig-Yar for something of such importance? A surprise to be sure."
"You're people are adaptable, and cunning...the Gate is a golden opportunity for you, like the trade of Delien musk." R'Tas mentioned which made everyone nod, he had a point. "I also believe we should allow the Kig-Yar to be the trade negotiators if we have trade with someone, they are shrewd business birds when it comes down to it."
"Thank you Shipmaster, I think that is something we can agree on, now lets continue our talks for the future of the Stargate program."
In orbit a single ONI prowler slipped away from the fleet to investigate the world the attack came from, ONI was on the move.
Deep Space, Zeta2 Reticuli System

The Large warship slowly moved past the Normandy as if it were a shark looking for prey. "EDI what can you tell me about it?" Alexia asked her eyes never leaving the beast before her.
"I am detecting multiple laser, railgun, and missile systems as well as an interesting particle beam weapon that acts as ECW, the ship has a shipboard AI system called FA-TH-UR." EDI reported, she had connected to the SULACO systems wirelessly. "It is a primitive AI system, more like a VI or UNSC Dumb AI, it has not detected me in the system, there are only fourteen life signs in some form of suspended animation, there is also another more advanced AI currently in standby mode."
Joker gave a scoff, "Only fourteen people on that ship?"
"We might be deep in their territory, their Father system could easily be enough to pilot the ship while in their travel stasis system." Tali said as she examined the warship carefully, interesting design but those Railguns have blind spots fore and aft."
She would stroke her chin slowly as she looked the warship over, this Sulaco was designed to be a broadsider it seemed, much different than the Citadel races or the UNSC, though she could see the Terran Federation making a ship like this. "What are the scans from the surface?"
"I have detected a powerful Nuclear fusion generator producing approximately 1 terawatt of power for the colony and what seems to be a large atmospheric processing unit, a small settlement is near the facility." EDI reported her head turning to look at Shepard, "The ships crew are now active and moving around the ship, they seem to be preparing to investigate the planet."
"Why do you say that EDI?" She asked as she looked at her AI friend.
"Because Commander, the Colony appears abandoned...Power is offline to the settlement itself and other than some neon lights active I am seeing no activity of any kind."
Shepard leaned forward supporting herself using Joker's chair, "Well looks like we can get an opportunity to meet the locals and ask if they need some help."
"Attention commander, a single dropship has left the main ship, it is descending in an almost freefall like manner, and it seems the entire crew has left the ship." EDI reported with a slightly confused look on her face.
Alexia looked at EDI like she was insane, "Wait...they didn't leave anybody aboard their ship? What if they have an emergency?"
"Unknown commander, I have Cortez prepping the shuttle."
"Thank you EDI, have the ground team all meet in the hanger...I'm taking everyone."
Deep Space
Cheops Class Warship

Hekenetret was a very ambitions Minor Goa'uld who once served under Nirrti, he was one of the few Goa'uld who enjoyed learning and trying to create things he was a disciple of Thoth for a long time. Right now his host body was grinning like a madman as his Cheops sensors scanned the object in font of him, it had to be Ancient tech and it would ensure his rise to power as a System Lord, perhaps even Supreme System Lord.
In front of the Pyramid shaped ship was a massive grey ring structure with blue glowing lights, it was roughly ten thousand kilometers in diameter and one could see water and landmasses on the inner part of the ring. Hekenetret's smile got wider, it would be his Halo of the Gods.

Planetary Surface, Super Highway

Jack was impressed at this super highway these Serans made, it lead straight to Jacinto city and was a whopping twelve lanes across. "Carter, how far away is this city?"
"According to the Locust that left us at the tunnel ten miles, we have walked about a mile maybe two so a couple more hours of walking sir." She replied quickly as she stepped over what looked to be some form of motorcycle."
Jack let out a long groan as he walked trying to ignore a few skeletons in cars the sunglasses he wore proving to be valuable as the sun began to set, right in their walking path. "That's going to take forever!"
"O'Neill I hear something...it sounds like one of your helicopters." Teal'C said quietly as he readied his staff weapon while Jack turned and saw a dark black Helicopter flying overhead heading in the direction of Jacinto. Jack eyed the chopper as he began to turn the pilot or crew seemingly spotting them.
"Well Tee, lets greet the locals shall we."
Sera
King Raven

Sergeant Marcus Fenix scowled a bit as he sat on the edge of the Raven, they had just recovered the Resonator after Kim's death and killed a Berserker with the hammer when all of a sudden all Locust activity across the city just stopped. They seemingly disappeared so instead of continuing with the mission to the Lethia Imulsion facility command wanted them to return to base and they would make a proper plan for the Lightmass Offensive.
"Hey Marcus, there are some people on the Monroe memorial highway." Dom reported as he pointed out of the Raven.
Baird shouldered his longshot sniper adjusting the scope, "They certainly aren't Locust...or COG...hell they don't even look like UIR or stranded..."
"KR-four-Two take us down to that location...I got a feeling this is important." He said to the pilots his eyes never leaving the small figures down on the highway.
"Roger that Sergeant, but we don't have a lot of loiter time...Command wants us back ASAP."
As the Raven descended and landed in front of the group of four he noticed that like civilians they were fairly small, obviously not having the Crimson genetic modifications some Gears got, but they sure as shit weren't equipped like Stranded or civilians.
The woman and man wearing a cap of some kind had two strange guns in their arms, while the one with glasses had just a side arm, the big one with the gold symbol had some kind of staff that looked familiar to him somewhat. All of them had on some kind of vest, carried combat knives, and he could see many explosives. The woman reminded him of Anya, that intelligence behind the eyes but able to kick your ass kinda look.
The one in the cap had his hand casually resting on the butt of his weapon before raising one hand and removed some sunglasses from his head, "Evening folks, its safe to assume you are apart of the COG we've heard about?"

Jack removed his sunglasses squinting slightly due to the sunlight in his face, "Evening folks, its safe to assume you are apart of the COG we've heard about?" He asked almost causally which made the very large men look at each other. {Jeez these guys are big, just like a big male Unas} He thought to himself before examining the massive helicopter, it looked like someone combined a Blackhawk and a a soviet Kamov-27 Helix, Jack had to admit it looked like it could take a hit or two.
"Yeah...and who are you supposed to be." The one in the bandana with a gruff and gravely voice asked as he cradled the rifle in his hands. {Jesus is that a chainsaw as a bayonet?!}
Jack looked to Daniel and motioned him to come forward, "Uh hi, I'm Doctor Daniel Jackson, uh believe it or not we come from another world...and we need to talk to your leaders so we can end your war once and for all." All of the COG soldiers just had a look on their face that just said, is this idiot serious, well except the largest man in the back who let out a boisterous laugh.
"Woo haha Cole Train needed a good laugh haha!" The man said wiping a tear away, but the man in the bandana just narrowed his eyes seeing SG-1's serious look.
The man turned slightly and put two fingers to his ear, "Control this is Delta..." His eyes met Jacks own, "we have a situation..."

Also yeah to me the King Raven helicopters in Gears of War look a lot like a more streamlined version of the Kamov-27 Helix helicopters of the Soviet Union/Russian Federation with a Blackhawk helicopters troop bay.
