After leaving the castleteria, Cedar had run out to the Enchanted Forest.
"I can't believe I actually said that, and right to her face," said Cedar as she stopped at a tree, leaning on it for support while breathing heavily.
"Cedar!" yelled Cerise who was running toward her.
"You… you chased after me?" asked Cedar while turning to face her. Panic setting into her expression at the same time.
"Of course I did, we need to talk about what you just said before running out of the castleteria," said Cerise.
"Starting with when did you see my ears?" she asked.
"The first night of school, after what happened at the celebration I couldn't really sleep and was just staring up at the ceiling when you had gotten up in the middle of the night," said Cedar.
"You were awake when I went to the bathroom," said Cerise.
"That's right," said Cedar.
"But why did you hide the truth, why put yourself through that pain for someone you barely know?" asked Cerise.
"Because you didn't want others to know, that was kind of obvious to me so I didn't want to violate your wishes," said Cedar.
"Plus I didn't want to see someone as cute as you crying," she said. After the words had left her lips, the wooden girl slapped a hand to her mouth and her face darkened from blushing.
"You… you think I'm cute?" asked Cerise who was also blushing.
"I do," said Cedar.
"Wow, I… I don't know what to say," said Cerise.
"Well I kind of hope that you say yes to maybe seeing a movie with me this weekend," said Cedar.
"That would actually be great," said Cerise with a smile. Later, as the two returned to campus.
"Looks like things went well for them," said Apple.
"Sure does, but I have a feeling there's a lot more in store for all of us," said Raven.
