Psychopaths (SCREAM 1)

Chapter 20

The rushing rain hit my pink umbrella as I took a walk without permission. A spot on the trail my mother used to take me and picnic. Imagine my shock when some boy I didn't know was sitting there all dirty.

I was ready to give him a piece of my mind until I heard a sniffle. The beautiful boy gripped his bleeding palm while wiping his tears with his shoulder.

"Why are you crying?" I ask curious, making the boy jump to his feet startled, I smile as he turns red.

"I was not," he defends

"I heard you sniffle,"

"Leave me alone and go annoy someone else,"

I decided to give him a hug which made him gasp "What are you doing?"

"It's called a hug, you do it to comfort someone when they're sad," he nods before pushing me away. He looks away from me holding his head down.

"Don't do that again,"

"Yeah, we just met. I don't listen to strangers and I do what I want," I grab his clean hand leading him back to my house.

"Come on will get your hand cleaned up,"

"Wait" he goes back and picks up a sharp almost rusted dagger.

"Why do you have this?" I ask curious, reaching out to touch it but his hand stops me.

"It's sharp you don't wanna cut your hand like I did," I feel my face burn when he holds my hand a little longer than necessary.

"Where'd you find it anyway?"

"Woods of an abandoned house" he replied like it was normal but from that day forth we became close.

End Of Memory

"I gotta say all I got from that memory is that something might've been psychologically wrong with you then," I shrug not getting his point.

He sighs looking down at his hand that has the scar. "That day changed a lot of things for me. I've always had this voice inside me it was small at first but the more trouble I got in the louder it got. I started to see these images, they would haunt my dreams it started to get so bad I would get too angry and hurt someone it wasn't until my parents divorced that I found out why that I felt this hunger for blood and fuck Angel, when I did it was better than I imagined but it wasn't enough I needed more I needed to be stronger, you can't be a predator when you're as weak as your prey,"

When I don't say anything or look at him he asks me was I even listening. "Yes it just takes me a while to process so much evil all at once," I reply annoyed finally looking at him.

"Who was your first kill?" I ask fearing I already know the answer I ask anyway. Billy looks away from me with shame in his eyes.

"I didn't know he was your father when I framed him,"

"Wow, that makes things better. Not" I cross my arms and fight back tears as puzzle pieces finally fit into place.

"We don't have time for this," before I can reply I'm picked up off the ground and thrown over his shoulder. I pound my fists on his back as he marches me back to Stu's house.

Narrators POV

Tatum and Sidney walked towards Stu's crowded house, seeing the party already started. Music blasted loudly, people were already smoking and drinking.

"Are you sure Amara is here?" Sidney questions Tatum as they walk up to the porch. "Yes, I called her house twice she has to be here," Tatum replies eyeing people who kept getting In her way. Sidney was worried about her and didn't want to be there but Tatum and Stu practically begged her she did want to get her mind off the fact that her mother had another kid and never told her.

They enter the house carrying the big bags into the kitchen. "Caterer's here," Tatum announces as she sits the bags down making a disgusted face at Stu and some guys drinking beer through a funnel.

"That's mature," Tatum says sarcastically unpacking the bags. "Where have you guys been? We had to start without you." Stu says gripping the girl's shoulders together.

"Where's Mara?" Tatum questions, making Stu stand up straight. "She's around," he responds not looking her in the eye.

"I'll look for her." Sidney offers, but Stu speaks up quickly. "But you have to help me set up the snack feast," Stu says holding up bowls to them.

Sidney huffs before grabbing the bowls from Stu's hand. Randy pops into the kitchen carrying an arm full of videotapes. "Thought we'd make it a Blockbuster movie night," he says scattering the tapes.

Stu and Tatum immediately dive in, "I thought everything was checked out." Stu says confused.

"I had them hidden in the foreign section," Randy replies. Sidney stares down at a tape shaking her head. "How come Jamie Lee Curtis is in all these movies?" she questions annoyed.

"She's the scream queen," Randy says in a duh tone. "With that set of lungs, she should be," Stu adds laughing sticking his tongue out.

Tatum rolls her eyes and looks at Sidney. "Tits. See."

The house continued to fill up with more people, everyone sat in the living room as Randy took votes. "How many evil deeds?" he asks making half the room's hands go up.

"How many Hellraisers?" more hands go up causing bickering between the crowd. The doorbell rings making Stu stand to answer it.
"I got it. Tatum get me a beer. They're in the fridge in the garage."

"No. what am I? The beer wench?... I need to find Mara." Tatum says getting up, she had a bad feeling.

"I promise we will look for her together...after you get my beer," he says making Tatum groan. "Look who's here? It's that chick from Inside Story." Stu says pointing at Gale who just walked in with Dewey. Everyone perks up eyeing Gale.

"Shit Dewey!" Tatum signals for Dewey to come to her. "What is she doing here?" Tatum questions annoyed.

"She's here with me I just wanted to check on things," Dewey says excitedly. "Now you have, so leave." she goes to walk away but stops glaring at Gale. "And take your media stuff with you," she says annoyed going to the kitchen.

"Dewey!" Sidney calls out gesturing for her to come to him. "Any word on my dad?" she asks worriedly.

"I'm sorry Sid, afraid not," he replies sadly. He then looks around. "Where's Amara?" he questions. She'd always give him a hug when she saw him, it was weird she wasn't there.

"I'm not sure, I've been asking Stu that since I got here," Sidney states taking a breath and deciding to look for her.

Amara's POV

I opened my eyes to darkness, Music played loudly in the background as my head pounded with flashes of what happened to me. I tried to move my hands were tied behind my back. I'm gonna kill that jackass.

I look around the closed space for anything sharp to free me. I kicked my feet around to feel for anything, and when my foot made contact with a duffel bag I immediately tried to unzip it. After a few tries, I finally managed to unzip it.

I pulled out a pocket knife and immediately cut the ropes, my heart raced at the thought of being caught and captured again. Once I'm untied I grab the doorknob only for it to be locked.

"Son of a bitch," I groan out kicking the door. I grab the duffel bag trying to look for something useful. I pause noticing the tall vacuum in the corner, I immediately get an idea.

Took three rams against the door but I was able to break out of the closet. Catching my breath I make careful strides through the house trying not to be seen.

I managed to sneak past a lot of people, I was almost out the exit through Stu's kitchen but a crash of glass breaking followed by a loud familiar scream made me pause.

"Tatum?" I questioned looking around worriedly, but no one was in the room. I noticed the door that led to the garage was locked from the outside.

I looked at the door then back at the exit door, I wanted to run but I could never leave Tatum.

I took a deep breath, I wasn't gonna lose my best friend to them. With shaky hands, I unlock the door lightly opening it.

Tatum is cornered against the garage door as Ghostface approaches her knife in hand.

Quickly thinking I tackle the cloaked figure on the back making him release the knife I hit him repeatedly until he flips me over his back onto the ground.

I groan in discomfort and pain. I looked up at him to see his soulless eyes staring back at me.

"No... You don't touch her." he ignores me and continues toward her quickly standing up and pulling him back. He turns and makes a motion as if he is gonna hit me but he hesitates and then completely stops before trying to get back to Tatum it was like he was a mindless killing machine.

"Please... No, I'll do whatever you want! just not her." I beg pulling on his arm. He makes no motion to stop.

"Billy please," I whisper making him look down at me. For a moment it seemed like he would ignore me He lightly lets me go, and I take that as my chance to kick him in the chest making him stumble back in pain.

I quickly run into Tatum's arms sighing in relief Our moment was short-lived though as Tatum is ripped from my arms.

Ghostface grips Tatum by her hair pulling her back and gripping a knife to her neck. "You think I'll ever forgive you if you hurt her?." I question seriously.

He lightly drags his knife across her neck before gripping her hair and slamming her against the wall she collapses knocked out cold.

I run over to her kneeling at her side. Before I could touch her, his leather gloves touched my chin stopping me from getting any closer. With his other hand, he pulls off his mask smiling down at me.

"Whatever I want huh?" he says gripping my chin tighter and lightly pulling making me stand fully. "Don't hurt her," I say pulling my chin out of his touch.

His smile instantly falls, he didn't like that I pulled away but he was crazy if he thought I'd let him touch me, "Stay by my side and I won't." he says darkly stepping closer and gripping my neck pulling me to him.

I lightly nod making him smile.

"Good girl," He whispers in my ear making chills go down my spine.

"Why?" I questioned my eyes teary, I just couldn't understand what could've happened to make him like this. Guilt flashes over in his eyes but is quickly covered with darkness.

"You'll learn soon enough, Doll."
