As the festivities continued, Sofia was introduced to the four ninja. The young men were playing along with the royals, trying not to expose themselves. Sofia glanced at their attire and tried not to giggle, as she herself understood the struggle of trying to dress perfectly around other royals.
"Nice to meet you! We're... visiting diplomats," Lloyd said, flashing a grin.
"What's a diplomat?" Jay whispered.
"I don't know, just go with it," Kai replied.
The four boys were now giving awkward smiles to the princess. Sofia soon introduced them to Amber, Desmond, and Hugo, who showed to be intrigued yet suspicious.
Cole's eyes widened as he saw Sofia's amulet gently raise and turn towards the large crystal hanging in the middle of the room. "Did you see that!?" he asked the other ninja.
"See what?" Jay responded. Cole went on to explain what he had just seen.
"Her necklace must have powers! That crystal is making it start to overload," Lloyd realized.
Peering through the window, Sly was able to see and hear all of this. That necklace was connected to the Star Crystal? If he couldn't get the crystal, that amulet was his next bet.
Suddenly, the atmosphere shifted. The doors to the ballroom flung open. Anakin Skywalker strode with little expression on his face. "I'm here to find the Star Crystal before it's too late," he said, his voice firm yet calm.
Sofia grew confused. "Why? What do you mean? Is it dangerous?"
Anakin nodded. "It can amplify powers beyond imagine. It needs to be locked up and protected."
Sofia gave a small gasp, now realizing why her amulet kept having weird reactions. She felt her amulet pulsing with energy. Amber noticed her sister's concern, questioning what was wrong. Sofia looked around to ensure no one else could hear her as she whispered to her sister, "My amulet! It's connected to the Star Crystal. It's been doing weird things all night and now I know why!"
"Sofia, you have to protect your amulet," Amber replied, Sofia soon agreeing.
However, Sofia wasn't the only one having connections to the Star Crystal. The ninja's elemental powers were growing more and more, and Anakin Skywalker could feel the force becoming more intense within and around him.
