(Hey everyone how's it going... I know it may seem like an excuse but this is why I was late posting my chapter, I had job related issues that I had to deal with, that I don't want to get into detail with... And I want you to all understand how much I love Kingdom Hearts. It helped me understand things clearer and Justice League helped me see how Justice, true justice and team work can help people accomplish great things. I love both of these series so much that I felt that if I half-assed it or just posted in a haste I would be doing them and the creators of both game and cartoon series from my childhood a great disservice. I understand that how the delay took me so long has cost any of my previous readers or those who followed me to feel like I abandoned this, but I was honestly trying to get all of this chapter together during that time... for that I apologize to you all who got tired or waiting I apologize and understand if you do not want to continue reading.
Those of you who stayed through it all, I thank you and ask for you continued support and reading.
Reminder: the Justice league that Sora is with is in the DCAU/"Earth 12" created by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm, not any of the comics. Please keep that in mind while I write this story to avoid any confusion with the other universes of the DC multiverse.
Disclaimer: I do not own anything that is related to either Kingdom Hearts or Justice League they are the properties of their respective owners Square-Enix and DC Comics.

Sora was training with Green Lantern, practicing the Fire Spell he finally got from Batman after Superman told him how Sora almost got seriously hurt on the last mission when John was arrested for a crime he didn't commit.
Batman, narrowed his eyes, clearly not happy about Sora learning such an obviously dangerous spell to shoot fire out when he wants to… but he didn't want the only hope to stopping the Heartless to end up becoming like them or worse.
So, with great reluctance, Batman gave Superman a warning that Superman remembered clearly.
-Flashback start-
"Just remember Clark… if anyone gets seriously hurt, you'll have to take responsibility for what happened." Batman warned him, handing the scroll over to the Man of Steel.
Even though the Kryptonian grabbed the scroll Batman didn't let go as he finished, "I WILL take care of it."
-Flashback end-
Superman, knew his friend meant well, might be a bit extreme, but underneath all that pain and anger he still cares and doesn't want anyone to end up like the Dark Knight's parents.
Sora breathed heavily as he said, speaking between breathes, "I think… I'm gonna need to take a break…"
"Not bad. Work with that, Sora." Superman stated before asking John, "How was the Fire Spell?"
"Frankly it felt like an impact of hot air than actually fire, I'd wager that it'd have the same force as a rubber bullet at best." John stated landing next to them, "That's at Sora's current level of experience with it, but with the Heartless, you'll never know."
Superman nodded, then offered Sora the container of water in his hand. Sora graciously, and hastily, accepted before gulping it down. Which made him begin to cough, GL looked and said, "Easy there, champ."
"Sorry, just never knew that water could be so tasty after we've been training for hours." Sora said after getting air back into his lungs.
The two blinked before the Man of Steel said, "Sora, It's only been forty-five minutes after you learned that spell."
"SERIOUSLY?!" Sora asked, can't believe it, then fell on his back groaning, "I was training for forty-five minutes and I'm this tired…"
"But it was good progress." Superman tried to assure the 14-yr-old. Sora smiled hearing that, "Thanks Superman."
Superman smiled back. Sora got up and said, 'Okay, let's get back to training."
Before even tried, the Keyblade appeared in his hand, surprising the kid, "Huh?"
"Whoa, kid. I know you're anxious but-"
"It's not me." Sora said to the Green Lantern, "I didn't summon it."
The two were confused even as they saw the Keyblade beginning to glow.
Superman became concerned, "What's going on?"
"Sora. Stop it." John ordered, thinking he as control.
"I'm trying!" Sora said but he could as a beam of light shot out from the Keyblade and the three of them disappeared.
Sora groaned, finally coming to… He felt something different from the room he was given in the Watch Tower. Instead… he felt not the bed, but empty space as he woke up enough to hear, "Sora!"
Sora gasped awake seeing
Sora, GL, and Superman were floating down slowly until they reached the ground. Before they noticed two people walking over, "Wak! What are you doing here?"
The Justice League turned to see both Donald Duck and Goofy standing in what appeared to be a burrow that a cartoon rabbit like Bugs Bunny would live in. (AN: Just remember this in reference of the knowing Looney Tunes more than Disney at the moment.)
"Howdy, fellas." Goofy waved to them.
"Oh my fur and whiskers! I'm late, I'm late, I'm late!"
They would see the White Rabbit in pants, bright yellow waist a paler yellow shirt under a red coat.
The five of them watch the short white rabbit with a larger than normal Pocket Watch in his hand, and glasses over his nose as he seemed to be in a hurry, "Ohh dear, oh dear, oh dear! I'm here, I should be there!"
He made a turn and shouted, "I'm late, I'm late, I'm late! The queen, she'll have my head for sure!"
"Uhh… what was that?" GL asked not sure what he saw.
"I think it was a White Rabbit. In a suit." Superman answered, feeling like he saw something like that before.
They went and saw a door that's as tall as Goofy, when Sora went to open it, only to reveal smaller doors opening till one was as tall as Donald.
"This is weird…" John stated commented as he squatted down to get through the door like everyone else, on their hands and knees.
After going through the door(s?), they found themselves entering a room that had a stove, a couple of chairs, a bed, and a reading table. As they looked around, they found the rabbit, now the size of a bug running towards a door which closed behind him.
"How'd he get so small?" Sora asked approaching the small door.
"No, you're just too big." The fact that the doorknob was talking to them made all five jump or be surprised with Donald exclaiming, "It talks!"
'Now I have seen weirder…' GL thought he was looking at something that can only be seen in a kid's movie or book there before his eyes.
The door knob yawned as he asked, "Must you all be so loud? You woke me up."
"Good morn'n!" Goofy waved.
"Good night! I need a bit more sleep." The Door Knob said as he closed his eyes.
"Wait, what do we have to do to grow small?!" Sora asked, getting on his hands and knees to look at the Door Knob properly.
"Ah Sora…" John tried to stop him, only to feel a hand and saw Superman shaking his head.
"Why don't you try the bottle… over there?" The Door Knob suggested gesturing with his knob-like nose behind the group, as all of them turned to see a table appearing, or unflatten itself from the floor, with a chair and two bottles: a blue labeled one, and a red labeled one appears.
Sora and the gang approached the table as the Keyblade master held a bottle in each hand and looked at the pictures. The red label showed how an acorn became a tree, while the blue label shows the opposite happening, the tree becoming an acorn.
The two heroes tried to get a scan or see what's in the bottles to make sure it wasn't anything harmful, while Sora looked at the bottles. Seeing how the Rabbit got small, Sora went and took the blue bottle.
"Sora?" Donald asked, drawing the attention of the others.
Sora simply took a sip of the potion, causing the Green Lantern to shout, "Wait! It might be poisoned!"
Just as Sora put the bottle down on the table, he said, "It does taste sorta weird…"
And immediately everyone watched as the 14-yr-old, exclaiming in surprise, shrunk down immediately to the size of a bug like the rabbit.
"Holy cow!" Donald shouted, seeing this. Goofy got down on his hands and knees asks, "Sora, are ya okay?"
"Yeah, I'm- I'm fine. Just can't believe this is happening…" Sora said getting used to how small he is now.
"Of all the reckless, idiotic…" John began to rant, glaring down at Sora, "Do you know how incredibly stupid that was?!"
"John." Superman said, stopping the chastising and getting everyone's attention, "I know how risky that was, but it seems like it was harmless, especially how he's now small enough to go behind the door."
GL didn't like it, but remained quiet. One by one Donald, Goofy, and Superman went and drank from the bottle too, before they shrunk down with Sora.
Sora, Donald, and Goofy went over and tried to get the Door to wake up, only it remained sleeping.
"Seriously?" Sora asked, while the Door Knob kept sleeping.
Superman suggested, "Let's see if we can find another way in."
As the four of them searched, GL, still at a regular size looked from where he stood in this… Bizarre Room, until he stated, "Hold up. I see something like an opening by the bed."
Superman went over and nodded, seeing it with his X-ray vision, "Yeah I see it too."
The Man of Steel then went and pushed the bed, like how the table popped up, becoming flat against the wall to reveal a hole there.
"Whoa…" Sora said amazed before he ran ahead of them. Donald and Goofy were shocked by how strong Superman was.
They soon made it into a clearing in what appear to be a hedge garden.
"Gawrsh, this sorta looks like the garden in our castle." Goofy mentioned as they walked through the hedge garden.
That made Donald quack angrily, "Hey! Our castle's gardens are more impressive than this overgrown hedge!"
GL remained silent as he didn't like this quiet feeling in the air… so far his ring hasn't detected any lifeforms in this strange place and seemed to lose trace of the Rabbit they were following. Superman stuck close just in case while Sora stared around him in amazement. He was in a different world. Very different than his island, Traverse Town, or even Earth in the World that GL and Superman came from.
They soon reached a clearing, where in the clearing, they were met with a particular sight. A group of men looking, playing cards like soldiers in a military line up. The red with the Hearts on their bodies had spear-like lances while the black with Spades on their chests had axes. Two of the Axe wielding cards blocked the way, "No access beyond this point!"
"Aww, come on!" Donald complained.
On the far side, was something reminiscent to Judge's stand, on a throne no less, sat a woman who was large, in a regal-like dress, holding a fan with a heart at the end. She had a round nose, gold earrings, and a small crown on top of her black hair tied into a tight bun that was held together by a red ribbon though a few lose bangs dangle before her.
On a wooden platform before the Judge's bench, stood a young girl at the age of ten. She had blue eyes, long thick blond hair with a black ribbon tied in a bow, she also wore a blue dress that went to her knees with a white apron over it. She had black Mary Jane on her feet.
Next to the queen's bench was a podium with a spiral staircase and up ran it was the White Rabbit who took out a trumpet and blew into it before announcing, "Court is now in session!"
"I'm on trial? But Why?" The girl asked, confused by being in this situation. The rabbit ignored her question before announcing, "Her majesty, the Queen of Hearts, presiding!"
The Rotund woman opened her eyes and began to speak, "This girl's the culprit, no question about it. And the reasons are- BECAUSE I SAID SO, THAT'S WHY!"
Hearing the queen's reasons made the two heroes from earth very confused by this. How could any sane ruler accuse a kid who is younger than Sora, to be a culprit.
"That's totally unfair!" the girl cried by the reason, unafraid.
"We then, Alice, do you have anything to say in your defense?" The queen asked, though it was clear what she already sees the girl's fate to be.
Hearing the girl's name, Superman paused and asked himself feeling a sense of Deja vu, "Alice?"
"Of course! I've done nothing wrong!" The girl, now known as Alice said, glaring back defiantly at the queen, even as the White Rabbit and the Cards began to look very scared, by the girl standing up to their queen, as the rabbit and closest guards ducked fearfully, "You may be queen, but that doesn't give you the right to be so mean."
That was the last straw to break the camel's back, or in this case, the queen's fan broke by it's holder who was enraged at this defiance.
"SILENCE!" The Queen shouted, as the force of her voice was enough to make Alice's blond hair be blown, where the Queen jumped too her feet, exclaiming in utter fury and slammed her fists against the bench, "YOU DARE DEFY ME!?"
The five who came in late, looked on concerned as Sora said, "Hey, we should help her out."
Superman and GL, especially John, nodded ready to interrupt. But Goofy said, uncertain, "Yeah, but, uh… wouldn't that be muddling?"
"Meddling!" Donald shouted to correct his friend.
"Oh yeah!" Goofy accepted as he added, "And that's against the rules, Cuz we're not supposed to interfere with what goes on in other worlds."
John looked at the two, "So you're saying that we should let an innocent girl be punished for something she's obviously not guilty of?"
Donald and Goofy looked down uncomfortable, it looked to the two heroes that they weren't okay with it, but the World Order seems to be very important for them.
The queen then proclaimed, "This court find the defendant… GUILTY AS CHARGED! For the crimes of assault and attempted theft of my heart."
That got Sora's attention as he knew only one thing were after Hearts, and it's not kids. Looking at Superman and John, Sora asked, "Did you guys hear that?"
"Yeah. And we know what would steal hearts." Superman said as that gave them ample reason to meddle.
"OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFF WITH HER HEADS!" the Queen Bellowed so loudly it could be heard for miles.
N-No! Oh please!" The girl pleaded, looking at the queen as she saw the Card-men approaching her podium.
"Hold it right there!"
Everyone turned to see five people running, or in Superman's and Green Lantern's case, flying, forward.
Leaning over her bench, the Queen demanded, "Who are you? How dare you interrupt my court!?"
Sora was about to speak, but Superman approached, being watched by the Cards on either side of them while the Man of Steel said, "I beg your pardon, your highness, but my friends and I know who the real culprit is."
"Oh really?" The queen asked, looking at them, more focusing on the muscles and faces of the two men before her and asked, "I do hope that you charming gentlemen have proof."
"Uhh…" was the only thing that Sora was able to say, confused by the queen's sudden change. John then held up his ring and made a holographic image of one of the Heartless, specifically a Shadow and asked, "Did the thing that tried to take your heart look like this?"
Everyone in the court, the Cards, the White Rabbit, Alice, and the Queen stared in shock or amazement of what they saw before the Queen said, "Ick! What is that creature?"
"This, your majesty, is what we believe to truly try and steal your heart." Superman stated, even though Donald was getting angry by how the two Heroes were apparently breaking the World Order.
"As convincing as this illusionary image is. I need physical evidence that this creature is truly what you claim it to be." The Queen said, especially giving them a chance while she ordered, "Bring as much or as little evidence that you need and bring it back to me."
"But-!" Sora tried only for Alice to be put into a cell.
"You are allowed to bring me solid evidence as you need to prove Alice's innocence." The Queen of Hearts told them, before she suddenly shouted, "Fail me and it's off with most of your heads!"
Her personality suddenly became complete opposite of how it was a few seconds ago, "Do you understand, my dears?"
Superman bowed his head and politely said, "Yes, thank you, your majesty."
The Queen of Hearts smile at the politeness of this man with a cape, even as her eyes linger on him and Green Lantern before she turned to the assembled group. She then announced, "This court is now in recess."
As the heroes went to talk to Alice, Superman couldn't help but overhear two of the guards whispering, with the Hearts Card asking, "Isn't it weird how the Queen is allowing these strangers to go and find the evidence?"
"Well, the King's been missing for some time now. So, I guess she can't help giving the group some leeway, especially the two." A Spades Card said nudging a thumb towards Green Lantern and Superman.
Superman blinked hearing how the Queen's King is missing. And what he knew about the Heartless… the Man of Steel can hazard a guess as to what happened to the king and many citizens of this world with the lack of a jury or others even in a place what he thinks is Wonderland…
Sora and the others approached the girl in the cage as she asked, "Who are you?"
"I'm Sora." The boy introduced himself no problem.
"I'm Goofy." The dog-man introduced himself before gesturing to the duck, "And that there's Donald."
Superman smiled kindly, "I'm Superman, and this is Green Lantern."
Alice blinked at the names, except for Donald, the others seem unusual for her. She then turned to the boy who was four years older than herself and said, "Pleased to meet you, though I do wish it were under better circumstances."
Looking down she said, holding the bars, "I'm sorry for getting you all mixed up in this nonsense."
Superman then knelt down and asked, kindly, "Can you tell me why you were on trial in the first place?"
"I should like to know the very same thing!" Alice exclaimed looking up at the Man of Steel, "I was guilty the moment I took the stand!"
That exclamation made the Green Lantern glare at how she was basically being punished for a crime that she didn't do. Especially since this is reminding him of his own trial not too long ago…
Sora however voiced their thoughts and shouted, "That's Crazy!"
Alice nodded in agreement, "Indeed."
"Maybe we should get evidence against the Queen." Donald suggested.
Goofy then reminded, "What about the World Order."
Alice blinked, "Pardon, but what are you talking about?"
Donald shook his head, knowing that Goofy was right, "Never mind."
Sora looked nervously between them and asked, "Uhh, Alice, how'd you get here?"
"I don't know I was in the meadow with my sister when I saw a White Rabbit." Alice stated, then everyone looked at the White Rabbit in question, who was minding his own business.
Superman then said, "And you followed the rabbit to its rabbit hole and ended up here?"
"Why yes." Alice nodded, then asked confused, "How did you know?"
"It's somewhat how we got here." Superman answered, which wasn't a total lie since when they arrive it was like they went down a rabbit hole.
Goofy then wondered, "Gawrsh. Do you think she came here from another World that way?"
"No way." Donald denied, "You can't travel between Worlds that way."
"Why not?" Sora asked, remembering how he arrived in the Justice League's world and it wasn't through a Gummi Ship.
Donald looked annoyed at the question before Alice asked, "Excuse me, but what do you mean by another World?"
"Ahh… that's private." Donald said, keeping the World Order.
The Card Guard interrupted, "Enough talk, the defendant will remain quiet!"
Sora glared at the guard before leaving with his friends, "Okay, so how do we find this evidence to clear Alice's name?"
They looked at each other, Superman said, "Well obviously we should find something to prove the Heartless were involved."
"How? We can't just make a Heartless come here like something we can find on the ground." Donald pointed out.
"Good idea, but where?" John asked.
"Hey fellas!" Everyone turned to see Goofy at an opening, "How's about this way?"
The four of them looked and shrugged following the dog-man through the opening.
They walked until they could no longer see the castle and saw themselves in a forest. When they took a look at their surroundings. Sora saw, or thought he saw a bizarre, grinning, rotund cat's head with yellow eyes and a ruffled red-violet fur at the top of its head. bobbing side to side like a ball in the air. It quickly disappeared before he could get the other's attention.
It then briefly appeared before a few of the others until it fully solidified on a large tree stump. they saw a cat's body standing on it like a clown on a large ball.
The five of them took in details of its body: It had a bizarre, a rather rotund cat body with a striped purple and pink a pattern along it's body from the neck to the tip of its wide tail that stopped abruptly at his wrists and ankles. the mouth, hands, feet and the tip of his tail are all a very light pink color. Its hands and feet both seem to have opposable thumbs, not like a regular cat, along with three other fingers or toes.
the body then got off it's head, reached down and reattached it as if it can pop on and pop off easily. Duck of the ground shouted, "Who are you?!"
"Who indeed." The cat repeated before saying, its smile never leaving his face, "Poor Alice. Soon to lose her head, and she's not guilty of a thing!"
"Hey, if you know who the culprit is, tell us!" Sora demanded at the cat.
Superman however tried a more diplomatic approach, "Please, it's to save a kid's life."
"The Cheshire Cat has all the answer, but doesn't always tell." The cat simply said. that got most of them ticked off. But Superman became curious by the name this cat went.
Green Lantern however, glared harder and threatened, "Unless you want to be trapped in a cage you better go to that nutso of a queen and tell her."
Unafraid, the Cheshire Cat, spoke, "The answer, the culprit, and the cat all lie in Darkness."
then disappeared without a trace, even as Sora shouted, "Wait!"
"They've mostly already left the forest. I won't tell which exit." The cat's voice echoed, "To find and bring them to her majesty, here."
And a small number of boxes appeared on the stump where the cat stood recently, "Most are a cinch, but one is tricky. A big reward if you find all of them."
Before it went silent.
Looking to the group, Donald asked, "Should we trust him?"
"I wouldn't." Green Lantern said, knowing about a few bad cat-themed people back in their World.
The cat in question reappeared, "To trust, or not to trust? I trust you'll decide!"
Then vanished again.
Just as soon as Sora made his steps deeper into the forest, Heartless appeared. A group of Soldiers and Shadows. The group had to definitely put aside any distrust or concerns while facing the Heartless.
After the fight with the Heartless, Donald pointed out, "Look around, we might be able find some evidence."
They proceeded to search. Even as some weren't so certain about creatures that leave no trace after they were destroyed.
"Got something!" GL called, getting their attention as they saw what his ring revealed to them.
He found footprints in grass patch, they match the footprints of either a Shadow or a Soldier type Heartless. Sora stared in surprised, "Whoa! Are those footprints?"
"Sure do look like it." Goofy said as he pulled out one of the boxes that they were given with, "So uh, how are we supposed to take 'em to da trial?"
"I guess we gotta put them in the box?" Sora suggested.
"Even for this place, there's no way that's possible." Donald dismissed.
Sora thought about it before he asked, "GL, can't you put the footprints into the Evidence box?"
John looked like that was a strange question, "Even on a weird Planet like this-"
"WORLD!" Donald corrected, loudly.
"I don't think that's possible." John finished, ignoring what the talking duck said as he took some of the ground that had the footprints under it.
Goofy, while no one was paying attention to him, opened the box. As soon as John got close the piece of dirt and the footprints were sucked in before the box closed itself.
They all stared at a moment. Sora being the first to speak, "Uhh… what happened?"
"I think the box sucked in the Evidence…" Superman answered still finding it hard to believe. John was no better after all the high-tech stuff he saw since he became a Green Lantern. He had briefly scanned the boxes when the Cards gave them to he and the others. To make sure they weren't booby traps, but they appear to be ordinary boxes.
His confusion was overcome when he heard the kid who joined them shouting excitedly, "This is awesome! We can get more evidence and bring them back without worrying about them getting destroyed!"
"What sort of evidence you thinking of finding?" Donald raised a brow, before he reminded, "Heartless disappear after you destroy them."
That was true… when Heartless are destroyed, whether from energy attacks, the magic of the Keyblade, or Sora's Keyblade, they do not leave anything of their bodies behind. Not like robots or spaceships. Superman has faced creatures similar to the Heartless before from the Phantom Zone and also the demon lord Karkull years before forming the League, but they were nothing like the Heartless…
"Well, we found Footprints from the Soldier Heartless. Maybe we can find some other stuff too? Like what they smell like? Or something?" Sora then stopped to asked, "Wait, do Heartless even have a smell to them?"
The four older men around him shrugged uncertain, though Donald and Goofy seem the most visible to answer the question.
They heard giggling as they turned but only saw flowers as tall as Sora. The flower's head opened a little as they heard the same sort of voice that made the giggle speak, "Thank you for getting rid of those things."
"You mean the Hea-" Superman began to say but Donald shushed him and said, in a harsh whisper, "Don't say anything about the Heartless. It's against the World Order."
The two superheroes stared at the duck in surprise: First they're not allowed to 'meddle' in the affairs of other Worlds, and now they can't even mention the Heartless? What sort of Law is that especially a big threat like the Heartless?
However, the Flowers didn't seem to notice or care as another one opened up and said, "Those Dark things are truly dreadful… Here, accept this."
At the flower's words, fragrance wafted over from the flower, the tiredness the heroes have felt from fighting the Heartless melt away and their stamina restored.
"Whoa…" Superman said, examining himself, 'Is this a spell or just how the flowers work here?'
Looking to the flowers, now opened, and revealing their faces, Superman smiled, "Thank you for your help."
"No, thank you." The flower that had a face of a lady said bashfully, "For getting rid of those Dark things. Since they're arrival many of our friends and others in Wonderland have disappeared. It's the least I can do to help."
"Yes, indeed." A pompous voice agreed as another flower revealed itself, showing a pompous man-like face, "Those horrible creatures appeared one day, and we had to close up to protect ourselves."
They arrived at a backyard sort of place connecting to a cottage. Next to the cottage was a long table with a number of chairs along the long table. Goofy approached and asked, "Gawrsh, was somebody plann'n a tea party?"
"I don't know, Goofy." Superman said as he tried looking around with his X-ray vision, but saw no indications of a trap or any… Wait… What is that?
He then changed back to regular human sight and saw a painting hanging over the head of the table. It looked like a man who could be a certain Fifth Dimensional Imp's cousin with a oversized top hat on his head with a brow rabbit next to him. Both of them wore clothes like the White Rabbit at the Queen's Courtroom.
"Hey, what's that?" Superman asked, attracting the attention of the others to the painting. They looked and saw the pair in the painting as Sora approached said, "Hey, I think there's something written here…"
Squinting his eyes to read the tiny inscription, Sora read aloud, "Happy Unbirthday To Us?"
Looking back, Sora asked, "What the heck does that mean?"
Donald shrugged, "Who knows. Not something to do with our mission."
He had an unusual edge to his tone. It was picked up on by John, "What's ruffling your feathers?"
"Forget it." Donald said looking around for evidence in this place, "Look!"
They all turned to the duck who was pointing at the balcony of the cottage. Sora approached, "What is it? Evidence?"
"Let's find out." The Green Lantern said raising his ring arm and using his ring to lift the chest up and placing it before them.
Having his Keyblade appear in his hand, Sora tapped the Keyblade on the chest lid twice before it snapped open.
Sora reached his hand in before pulling out a sort of Dark colored stone.
"What's this?" Sora asked confused, though found it interesting.
John used his ring to scan it and he was surprised by what his ring revealed to him, "I don't believe it?"
"What?" Superman asked, as he and Goofy looked at the readings.
"It's some kind of crystal, My ring can't identify what it is." John answered, "My ring is able to scan and identify anything in the Universe, however it can't make heads or tails of this thing like those Heartless things."
Donald, saw the crystal better and jumped, "That's Dark Matter!"
"Dark Matter?" Sora and the Earth Heroes asked, confused.
"Then why isn't Gravity being affected?" John, asked, not getting any gravitational readings from the crystal
"What are you talking about?" Donald asked shaking his head, "It's a very rare material, said to be crystalline form of Darkness."
Superman and Green Lantern looked to each other before looking back at the duck and told him, "That's not what we call Dark Matter."
Donald huffed, annoyed, "Well, what do you call Dark Matter?"
"Something that effects the gravity around us." Green Lantern stated.
"Aw phooey!" Donald exclaimed, not finding that believable. But was stopped by Superman who stated, "No, Green Latern's right."
Donald shook his head, about to make a come back, before noticing, "Goofy, what are you doing?!"
"I figured we could find some that evidence if we go into the cottage." Goofy said opening the door, stepping through the door. After a few minutes, nothing has made some of them worry.
"Uhh… Goofy?" Sora asked, concerned.
"Goofy! You okay?!" Donald shouted through the door.
"Hey fellas! You gotta see this!" Goofy called from the other side of the cottage door.
This made the group looking at each other confused before Sora, feeling brave approached and stepped through the door. What he saw made him stare in shock. They were back in the room… but… How did they get on the ceiling?!
Donald came shouting through the door followed by the two members of the Justice League. Superman stared in wonder while John was trying to make sense of what they were seeing.
"Are really on the ceiling?"
"This doesn't make sense how are we on the ceiling? But not falling?" John asked looking around. In all his time of being in the military, his mind can't seem to understand how this could be possible without some sort of high-tech accomplishments.
Superman looked around. Up above him and the group, Superman can see the table back when they were on the floor, "I think we can make it back to the floor if we can fly there."
"Anything to get back on actual ground." John Stewart stated, as his ring's enveloped the lantern in it's energy field as he flew and made a platform with his ring for Donald and Goofy to stand on as he flew the amazed duo to the floor. Superman picked Sora up and flew after his friend.
As they flew the two heroes felt the pull of Gravity change from the ceiling to the floor allowing them to make the right adjustments the moment they touched the floor. The moment they did however, a group of Shadow Heartless appeared and were ready to fight. The five heroes fought them, but as soon as they got rid of one group, another appear in their place, especially when the Red cone-shaped Heartless appeared. One of the Shadows had gotten a good hit on John, he was saved by the last second from suffering more hits when Sora came swinging his Keyblade to cut the monster down.
Sora looked and asked, "You okay?"
John saw his protective aura repairing itself, before he said, "I'm fine, thanks."
Superman flew over and warned, "Be careful! They're able to bypass usual defenses."
The Lantern saw Goofy able to bash and hit the Heartless away with his small shield, "How come he's able to use his shield?"
Donald came over after hitting a Shadow with a Fire spell and answered, "Goofy's Shield is enchanted."
That explanation made the former marine look at Donald like the duck grew another head. John Stewart has seen a lot of things after becoming a Green Lantern, his transition wasn't difficult considering how he had served in the Marines before being recruited, which was why he didn't give the Guardians of the Universe headaches like Hal Jorden has since his recruitment by Abin Sur. However, creatures made from the darkness in people's Hearts - not being affected natural light like the Imperium's minions, some claim of another reality were the stars are really other planets (*cough* Worlds *cough*) being destroyed by said monsters, they've been transported into another Planet that makes no sense whatsoever, cannot say anything about other Planets or mentioning Heartless, while being told they since they're not from said planet they cannot meddle in the affairs of other Worlds by a snow-white, angry, version of Daffy Duck and a dog-man with a shield – even if it cost a little girl her life, and now he finds that one of the Heartless was able to do damage to his ring's protective aura which had protected other Lanterns from lasers from enemy shooting at them.
This whole thing made no sense to the Marine at all. He continued to fire beams at the Heartless making what barriers he could to cover himself from any sneak attacks.
Once they got rid of the latest group of Heartless, a third group showed up, and this one… was VERY different… They were Shadows, but their size were larger than regular Shadows, as tall just up to Superman's and GL's height.
Sora groaned, "You gotta be kidding me…"
"How are they so large but they looked like Shadows?" Goofy asked, holding his shield up.
Superman was about to answer before he heard a voice from Goofy say, "I don't know, but we should be careful all the same. These Gigas Shadows are as dangerous, if not more than any other Heartless."
The man of steel quickly glanced around for the source of the voice, but couldn't find anyone. His moment of distraction almost ended badly for him if the Heartless didn't get hit by a small bolt of lightning that fell on the gigantic Shadow causing some damage to it. Donald revealed to be the one who came to his aid which gave Superman time to use his Heat Beam on the Heartless calling out, "Sora!"
The boy rolled out of the way of the giant Shadow's attack when he saw the other one flying his way. Seeing this, Sora pointed his Keyblade and shouted, "FIRE!"
And a fireball came flying out of the tip of his Keyblade, flying straight into the Heartless. The two attacks made the giant Shadow dissipate the moment the fireball hit it. Smiling Sora cheered, "I got one!"
"Good work." Sora heard Superman said, making the teenager flash a smile to the hero. Sora then called to the others, "Guys, we can take them, just work together!"
Donald grumped, but had to agree, especially if he wants to find his King. Goofy and John nodded. With renewed vigor the five heroes went and slew the remaining Gigas Shadows. It would have been tough if it was one on one.
Once the battle was done. Sora, Donald, and Goofy had slumped down a tired.
"That was tough…" Sora said, Goofy agreed with a nodding of his head. Donald groaned, "I'm beat…"
Goofy reached intro his pocket before pulling something out and said, "Here, Donald."
Donald looked at the item and saw what it was, and took the crushed the blue cube that was given to him by Goofy. Once he did his body glowed blue briefly. The two heroes took a double glance as the duck got up, not at all feeling tired as he did after the battle.
"Thanks, Goofy."
"Don't mention it." Goofy smiled back.
Superman then asked, "What was that?"
"That was an Ether." Donald explained, "It helps recovering my magic if I overdo it."
"Here you go, Sora. You've been using magic as much." Goofy said giving the same thing to Sora. Before Sora could take it as well, GL stopped it by containing the cube in his ring's barrier with a, "Hold it!"
Donald started jumping angrily, "Hey! What are you doing, ya palooka!?"
"I'm not letting you give the kid anything that could be dangerous for him." John said, glaring at the two.
"John, maybe it's not what you think it is." Superman said, trying to be a peace maker again.
GL looked at the Kryptonian, telling him, "Not until my ring tells me what this is."
After a minute, John blinked, "What? How's that possible?"
"What is it?" Superman asked, while both are not noticing Donald tapping his webbed foot impatiently and annoyed at these so-called 'heroes' getting in the way of his and Goofy's mission.
"Nothing." John said, as he saw the data that the ring was giving him, instead of seeing the usual stuff, he found nothing from this 'Ether'.
"See, I told you."
"That just means it could be something that'll mess up Sora." John said glaring,
"Aw phooey." Donald said grabbing the cube back from the Green Lantern's hand and gave it to Sora, "Here."
Sora blinked looking at the cube before looking at the two groups before he took the cube and felt his tiredness recovering, when he jumped back on his feet and said, "Whoa! This is almost like the Potions back on my Island. Though I wish it tasted better…"
Donald blinked before he and Goofy began laughing their heads off. Superman joined in with a few chuckles while John looked around and then asked, "What's that?"
His question drew the attention of the others as they saw a small slate-grey colored rock, shaped like a hook, on the floor. The Court Magician blinked, "Oh, Lucid Shards. They must've been dropped when we took out those Heartless."
"Heartless… drop stuff?" Superman asked, finding it strange after how none of the Heartless they destroyed in his World dropped anything.
Sora went to pick them up and asked, "So… where do I put them?"
"You got that Moogle Pouch, from Cid, right?" Goofy asked, looking at Sora.
"Oh right…" Sora stated remembering the pouch he got from Cid.
-{Flashback start}-
"hey kid!" Cid called out to as Sora and the Justice League were walking to the gates where the Javelin. He then approached handing him a pouch for Sora to take, "This here's a Moogle Pouch, something tells me you're gonna need it more."
"A Moogle Pouch?" Sora repeated the name looking at the pouch.
"It's a special item that the Moogles made in case you run into anything along the way. Being them here to either trade them or give them to the Moogles when they open their shop again." Cid explained as Sora looked at the pouch before sticking his hand inside and found it able to fit. He then pulled it staring in surprise before pulling it out then reached his full arm inside of it while staring surprised.
Flash stared in surprise at how Sora was able to do that, "Whoa… that's a lot of space."
"Just don't lose it kid, Moogles are very protective about their secrets. They'd be very ticked if you lose it." Cid stated, turned and went back to his shop while Sora pocketed the pouch.
-{Flashback end}-
Sora went to pick up the items that were left behind and deposited them into the pouch before they continued to look for more evidence. Unfortunately, there was nothing they could use as evidence.
After that they went through the path and returned to the Queen's Castle, where they were met with a Card asking, "You have returned, have you found all the Evidence you need for the defendant?"
"Not yet." Sora answered, knowing some things he could find to prove Alice's innocence.
The Card grimaced as he said, "Better hurry before the queen losses her patience."
He then began to march about as Superman saw this and said, "We need to hurry."
"We got footprints, we just need to find more evidence to prove that it was the Heartless and not Alice." Sora said looking around but stopped and asked, "Hey, what's that?"
They looked up and saw a treasure chest, which was violet than the one from Cid's Accessory shop, Donald raised a brow, "Another Treasure Chest?"
"Maybe there's another rare item inside like the Dark Matter back at that Cottage." Donald suggested. John raised a brow not liking this, since it's distracting them. John heard saw Superman approach him as he said to the Lantern, "Couldn't hurt to check it out."
John, still feeling this was a distraction, complied saying, "Yeah, okay…"
Superman smiled before he flew up and took the chest, when he placed it down, they saw it was indeed a chest, purple like the treasure chest from the cottage, but also had a small keyhole on top of it.
"This is a different treasure chest; I wonder what's inside it." Goofy said examining the chest while the Cards weren't paying much attention to what they were doing.
Sora quickly went and tapped his Keyblade on the top of the chest. It opened and what was inside was…
"PUPPIES!" Sora cried out happy seeing them as three dalmatian puppies came out and began licking the boy's face nonstop. Superman, Donald, Goofy, and even John found this funny to watch. Feeling the effects of the licking becoming too much for him Sora raised his hand up weakly, "Help… me…"
Superman couldn't help but see it funny before going over and picked up one of the puppies. The puppy in question blinked as the Man of Steel held it up to his face. The puppy then went and licked the man's face as he said, "Don't worry. We're gonna take you three home."
The Puppy in question seemed to understand what the man before him was saying, especially as its tail was wagging. Donald went to help Sora out, but a puppy went and bit his leg, causing the Court Magician to yell in pain as he shook his leg. Goofy tried to help his friend without hurting the puppy. John remained where he was before he heard a yip and saw the third dalmatian standing before him with big wondering eyes. John Stewart was confused by what the puppy was doing and asked, "What?"
"I think he likes ya." Goofy said smiling at the puppy.
The African American looked back at Goofy before saying, "I don't know if it's good for the pups to come with us."
"But I promised their parents to bring them back." Sora reminded, as he had told the other members what he promised with the dalmatian parents back in Traverse Town. The Keyblade appeared in his hand, causing everyone looked in surprise.
The puppies glanced at the boy they were licking before they looked curiously at the giant key in his hands as they went stood before a light shot out and hit the puppies, where they disappeared after the light disappeared. Donald looked and asked, "Where are the puppies?"
Superman, who was able to see thanks to his vision, said, "Don't worry, they made it home."
"How do you know?" Goofy asked, concerned about the puppies' safety.
Superman smiled, "I saw the other side of the portal that took them, they went to Traverse Town where their parents are."
Sora exhaled smiling, "What a relief, I thought the Keyblade was acting up again."
Green Lantern remained silent, as he said, "Come on. We should go."
They group of heroes continue as Sora glanced back at the Queen of Hearts who sat on her seat as if it was her throne, waiting for when the group are ready to present their evidence. Sora stopped and asked, "Hey guys, why can't we just help Alice out of that cell and fight the Queen?"
"Because it's against the World Order." Donald snapped, "We can't meddle with Other Worlds OR attack leaders just because of how they are."
"It's also not what heroes do." Superman explained, "Especially if you want to be a hero."
Sora grumbled as he had to admit that Superman's right. But still the Queen of Hearts shouldn't be such a huge jerk… And just blaming Alice for that.
The re-entered the Lotus Forest as, like before, the Heartless, appeared to attack them. It's the same types of Heartless as before which meant the that they should be fine facing them. Once they defeated the Heartless at this familiar area of the Forest. "I think things get easier this time around."
"That's because we've been fighting the same kind when we first got to this forest." GL said, as he depowered his ring.
Superman then suggested, "Let's continue searching for evidence here."
All of them continued to search in groups. Green Lantern with Goofy and Superman with Donald. Each one had a box. The court magician had asked, with hostility, "Why are we partnered with you separately?"
"This is the only way to effectively find more evidence while making sure we cover each other's backs in case more Heartless show up." Superman explained, trying to keep the peace.
Donald snorted, muttering, "More like you're just making sure you keep the Key to yourselves."
Superman heard, but chose not to act on it. The only problem is where Sora was gonna go. Donald had suggested the Keyblade wielder goes with him and Goofy, but after how things were going, they didn't have time to argue, especially since Sora began running off to look for evidence. So, Donald grumbled as he agreed to this, for now… Especially since the kid got them involved in meddling with the affairs of this World. Not only him, but those so-called "Superheroes" who think Meddling's better than not-meddling.
But… that doesn't mean Donald wanted Alice to lose her head with that crazy Queen. Goofy then whispered, "Don't forget what the King's letter said, 'Follow the Key'."
Grumbling, Donald admitted, "Fine…"
And waddled off to go looking for evidence to prove Alice's innocence close by. Green Lantern flew close and asked, "I'm guessing you want me to keep an eye on Goofy to make suer he doesn't do anything?"
"No." Superman answered, "I know how Donald acted last time we saw him, but while they only seem to want to find their king. I don't think they're really bad, just want to make sure their friend is safe. We just need to remind them of that."
"And that so-called 'World Order'?" Green Lantern asked, brow raised. He found it ridiculous, especially since planets have been able to develop by communicating with each other since the Guardians of the Universe had first started the Corps.
Superman looked, "Dr. Fate explained it to me , he said that it's to prevent the people in the worlds we meet from causing a panic that could make things worse for themselves and others to help them develop properly."
John didn't like hearing that, especially when knowledge of other Planets is common. But in a way it makes sense for planets (*cough* Worlds) not as advanced - like this crazy place – compared others like Earth, Ajuris-5, Oa, or even Traverse Town as examples. Even if the Heartless are drawn to the Darkness in people's Hearts.
Superman and John separated into their groups. Sora chose to go with John and Goofy, much to Donald's disappointment. He had hoped to convince Sora to go with him and Goofy to find his king instead of being in the world with them 'heroes', especially after how they're mostly keeping the Keyblade for themselves.
The three walked while John kept an eye out for any surprise attacks from Heartless again. Goofy, however, walked casually, "Gawrsh I hope we can find all them evidence, soon. Poor Alice…"
"Hmm." The Green Lantern responded as he continued to keep an eye out.
Goofy would then asked, "Do ya think we're gonna run into more Heartless?"
"Most likely." John answered, still on guard.
Things were quiet as the three kept walking, soon the silence was ended.
"So, uh, how did you get that there magic ring?" Goofy asked, now getting on John's nerves.
Seeing this Sora said, "Don't take it personally, Goofy. John's not much of a talker."
"It's not that. While we're in the field we need to make sure that we're not ambushed, especially when the enemy can just teleport out of nowhere." John stated, "It's what I learned in the military."
"You were a soldier?" Sora and Goofy asked, surprised to hear that.
John remained silent, before stating, "I'd rather not go into detail… but yeah. Besides we're still on mission so you two better take this seriously."
"Hmm. Okay." Goofy nodded, "Well you don't hafta worry I'm the Captain of the Royal Guard and I know when to get serious too."
John raised a brow at the claim, sure the Dog-man can fight, but given how he's partnered with that duck with the wand who wanted Sora to go with them, not sure if he can be trusted… Despite how friendly he was being.
Sora saw the look on the Green Lantern's face and sighed, John has been almost as serious as Batman, but he should not be so suspicious of everyone he meets, especially if they can help. Goofy would notice something off and shouted, "Look out!"
And used his shield to protect Sora from a sneak attack from a Shadow Heartless. He then slammed his shield against the Heartless, sending it back far enough for John to aim his ring and fired a beam at it, destroying it. Sora quickly got out a box and the dark vapors were pulled in like the foot prints.
Sora sighed in relief, "Thanks."
"Don't mention it, Sora. After all. We're all on the same side." Goofy smiled back looking at the kid.
Sora smiled back, hearing what the captain of the royal guard said, really glad to have him with them. John remained silent, thinking about what just happened and what Goofy said.
Superman walked with Donald, who was, as anyone would've guessed, grumbling by how things went…
Superman, looking at the duck-man asked, "Have you found any clues to your king?"
"No." Donald muttered, still angry, "We'd be able to find him faster if the Key was with us instead of you so-called heroes."
Superman sighed, he's used to this but, ever the peacekeeper, offered, "I'm sorry you feel like we're getting in your way but maybe if we work together we can make sure that the worlds don't get destroyed… like my home was…"
Donald remained as he was and asked, "Was it the Heartless?"
"No, my home was destroyed when the planet blew up. I'm the only survivor." Superman stated. Surprising the Court Magician, especially since he didn't need to know what a planet was, but knew it was someone's home.
Donald shook his head, he had to be focused to find his king. Once the king has been found everything will be better for it.
Goofy, Sora, and John were fighting Heartless. Soldiers, Red Nocturns, Shadows & and a Large Body. And blue versions of the Red Nocturns. Unlike those Red ones, these Heartless seem to shoot ice at them and these Heartless were weak to the Fire Spells and grew stronger from Ice spells. Fortunately, Sora's training with the Fire spell helped him aim and target the blue Heartless. Goofy with his shield and John with his Green Lantern Ring helped deal with the Heartless as well, John's ring really helped with how the Red Nocturns and their blue opposites are immune to certain types of magic and sometimes moving too fast for Goofy to hit with his shield.
John fired energy beams from his ring unaware of a Soldier coming up from behind him as a voice called out, "Goodness! John, look out!"
John turned and made a shield with his ring, where it protected him from the Heartless' attacks. After the Soldier heartless was destroyed, from a shield being tossed at him by Goofy, John Stewart quickly looked around for the source of the voice. However, there was nothing. Only Goofy, and the Green Lantern of Earth knows that wasn't Goofy's voice. John sighed and muttered, thinking the place was getting to him, "Sure hope Superman's having better luck than us."
The duo of Superman and Donald also had a run-in with the Blue versions of the Cone-body heartless too. But thanks to Superman using his Heat-ray vision to destroy the heartless with Donald with his Fire Spells. The two were able to quickly deal with them.
Donald quickly got one of the evidence boxes opened and the dark vapors were sucked in like the footprints from before.
Superman landed down next to Donald and asked, "You okay?"
"I'm fine." Donald said pocketing the box, "Two down, two to go."
"Don't you mean three down?" Superman asked, knowing that the others would have gotten Evidence by now.
"We would've gotten all of them by now if the Key was with us." Donald snapped, "Instead of playing Hero with you all keeping the Key to yourselves."
Superman narrowed his eyes, not liking how this magic-user was acting about Sora, "Sora isn't an object, he's a person. And he chose to help us while we teach him how to be a hero."
Donald huffed angrily, looking away with his arms crossed. Superman had heard what Hawkgirl said, and knew felt that it was too much to say about someone they don't know anything about. But Donald's reaction - though understandable, didn't help the situation. And the duck's attitude right now isn't helping much either.
Superman sighed seeing the duck waddle away and commented, "And I thought Batman was hardheaded…"
The two groups continued searching before they met by the giant tree to go over what they did find.
Donald, unfortunately, was right and the other group didn't get another piece of evidence. Which left the duck magician smug with the expression saying, 'I told you so', every chance he got. But it wasn't completely a loss effort as both groups found some things that would be big help in the long run such as potions, eithers, or even a chest which Sora tapped at the lid and out came puppies that began to lick his face. This caused the Keyblade wielder to laugh while the three puppies continued to show their affection.
The four others laughed at how Sora was being licked by three puppies again before another opens up from his Keyblade they hurried off into the portal like the last three did.
Sora sat up smiling at how the pups have been licking his face like the last group of puppies they've been finding recently. Sora got up and smiled, "Good thing they're getting home safe."
He then got back up and said, "Okay… one last box to fill with evidence."
He then spotted a Lilypad off in a distance and ran to it. They might have checked everywhere, but Sora definitely doesn't remember checking the opening near the highest lily pad before. He then pointed, "Let's try there."
And ran off, jumping on a mushroom then onto another one. The two Justice Leaguer glanced at each other while Donald shouted after the Keyblade wielder and Goofy following behind. The two then went and flew after the trio.
When they caught up, John looked at the kid and asked, "What's up?"
"I thought I saw an opening here, like the one we used to get to the ceiling of the bizarre room." Sora said before he went and stepped through.
Just as soon as Sora did. He felt something missing from his foot. Looking down he saw there wasn't a floor. He fell below with a yell, "Whoa!"
He felt an arm around him and saw Superman caught him, asking, "You okay?"
Sighing in relief, Sora nodded, "Yeah, thanks Superman."
They soon landed on one of the top of a shelf as the others joined them, thanks to Green Lantern helping Donald and Goofy to join them.
As soon as Sora got off, he saw something on the chimney that made him nervous.
"Umm guys… what is that?" Sora asked, drawing their attention as they saw something on the chimey's Stone stack. And, it was large…
"Claw Marks." Superman realized seeing the shape on the chimney's Stone stack. Which was a surprise since the attack he got from the Heartless when the League formed didn't leave any physical damage on a person even though it cut through his invulnerability. Maybe it was because he was a person with a Heart? Superman sighed, wishing this was easy to understand…
GL quickly pulled the piece of Stone from the Chimney with his ring before the last of the Boxes given to them had been filled with the Evidence.
"Well look at what you found, good going." The smiling cat said, congratulating them for their efforts as he appeared before them.
"Now we can save Alice." Sora smiled, happy to find all the evidence they needed.
"Don't be too sure. Alice may be innocent, but what about you?" The grinning cat asked, making the five of them become either: confused, suspicious, or concerned.
Becoming more suspicious, the two Members of the League were on guard and the Man of Steel asked, "What do you mean?"
"I won't tell. But I will give you two things." The cat stated, as he flicked his paw, and a bluish-white light traveled along the Keyblade and Sora saw what appeared to be a snowflake entering his mind.
Sora shook his head, with a light groan. GL glared at the talking cat, "What did you do?"
"Oh, I simply helped the boy with his Magic prowess. He may, or may not, need it in the future." The cat grinned, making it hard for the heroes to know if he's being sincere or not. Though the Man of Steel couldn't help but wonder if he knew something and was giving Sora some advantage.
The cat vanished with his smile lingering before disappearing with the rest of his body.
Sora stared in surprise, "Whoa… more magic… And it's ice magic!"
"Blizzard is a good spell when things are getting too hot for you to handle." Donald said, before adding, "Though I bet it's all the time with you."
"Hey!" Sora shot back.
Goffy then spoke up, "Gawrsh, I hope what made those clawmarks aren't here any longer…"
"I agree." John said, immediately the five of them hurried back to the Queen's castle to save Alice.
Once they got back to the Queen of Heart's castle garden, Sora approached the Queen at the bench and announced, "We have our evidence!"
"It's about time." The Queen snapped, "Now then, counselor, show me your evidence."
Goofy and Donald brought out the four boxes of Evidence, placing them on the front of the podium. This surprised the Queen, "Well, that certainly is a lot of evidence, but I'm still not impressed."
She then commanded, "Cards! Bring forth my evidence!"
The guards did just that, but with one box and placed it on the podium too. The Queen then hummed to herself and stated, "Checking all five would be only a waste of time. All right then."
Soon the boxes began to shuffle faster than most eyes could see, except for Superman. Once the boxes stopped shuffling, they were then replaced on the edge of the podium as the Queen spoke, "Now choose one that you wish to present. I'll decide who's guilty based on that evidence."
"What? After all the trouble of collecting it?" Sora asked, as he and the others felt annoyed or upset by how this is how they are going to do it.
From the box that Sora's friends were watching from, John couldn't help but mutter, "She's crazy…"
This made the queen angry, "You dare object?! Then you will lose your heads! Now, Choose! One box!"
Sighing, Sora went from the podium and approached the box.
Donald looked over at Superman and asked, whispering, "Can't you tell which one's the evidence we got?"
Superman tried to use his X-Ray vision, but couldn't see through it. Looking at the duck, the man of steel shook his head, "I can't must be the magic in this place."
Donald huffed angrily while Goofy said, "Don't worry I know Sora's gonna pull through for us."
Green Lantern found this whole court proceedings to be annoying! Superman or he should be the ones to pick, not a kid, to determine the fate of another kid. What kind of kangaroo justice is this?! But Sora was the one chosen, despite how much he wanted to tell the boy. He just have to trust in the boy's choice, like Goofy said.
Sora then stood before a box and announced, pointing, "This one!"
The queen looked down from her bench and asked, "Are you certain? There's no second chances!"
"Definitely!" Sora answered, silently hoping he was right.
Accepting that answer, "Now we'll see who the real culprit is."
He then approached the box and opened it. Immediately a Heartless appeared, and made it's way to the Queen of Hearts, zeroing in on her.
"What in the world is that?!" The queen asked in fright, as the Heartless climbed up the bench to her.
"It's the culprit!" Sora shouted summoning his Keyblade and took care of the monster before it could hurt the queen.
Breathing heavily, Sora looked up at the Queen and said, "There's your evidence. Alice is innocent!"
Everyone in the court looked around unsure of what to do, but the Queen, furious at her lack of understanding, being talked to, or whatever, got angrier and shouted, "SILENCE! Im the Law here! Arctle 29: Anyone who defies the queen is guilty as charged!"
They couldn't believe what they're hearing, Donald shouting, "That's crazy!"
"Seize them at once!" The queen ordered. Immediately the affects of the Courtroom: the podium and the stand where the White Rabbit stood vanished and a guard tower propped up. A Card ran and turned the gears, making the cage holding Alice rise up to the Queen' level.
GL looked at Superman and asked, "Now?"
"Now." Superman agreed as they sprang into action. Superman got Sora out of the way while GL flew and fired a powerful beam from his ring, destroying the tower before a fight could even begin.
As soon as the cage dropped, all eyes were on it as the curtain was forced back and revealed it was empty. Alice had disappeared.
(And with that Part 1 of the Wonderland adventure is done! Like I said it was hard to find the right way to get these two series I respect and love so much to work simply. But here we have Sora starting to get use of his Fire spellcasting, re-meeting Donald and Goofy in the White Rabbit's Burrow, meeting the Queen of Hearts, her Cards, and Alice. Though Superman feels like he heard her name before. And finally, they begin their search to locate evidence. And as always, the Cheshire Cat has a... unique way of helping them. Plus, he was able to grant Sora access to another type of magic to use. Blizzard.
But as soon as they get the evidence the Queen had to be herself and well you know. I just figured that the fight between the queen' forces and the heroes would be making things too complicated, so I just had Superman and GL destroy the tower ahead of time only to find Alice missing!
I know this was a long chapter, but I was just trying to show how things went in it between the groups and some of their inner thoughts and feelings. while trying to find an alternative to one of the pieces of evidence. I mean do Heartless actually have a smell to them when they're made from the aethereal darkness of a person?
Did the Heartless kidnap her? Will they get her back? And what made those giant claw marks on solid stone? Find out in the next chapter
But, until the next chapter, May Your Heart Be Your Guiding Key.)
