Something was wrong and Ginny knew it. It had a been a little more than a month since she met Draco Malfoy at that club. The morning after her coffee date she was sure he changed his mind and would never contact her again. He was probably sitting at home with a breathtaking woman laughing about the terrible experience he had. But she was wrong. Draco owled her again and again. They had four awesome dates within in the last month and the date last night ended in his bedroom. Her heart raced thinking back to that night.
Draco had told her to look nice and casual - whatever that wassupposed to mean. So Ginny had decided on a darkgreywooldress. She smiled at her reflection before going back from the loo into the main room of the restaurant. There in thecorner Draco sat at their table while talking to the waiter. The little restaurant Draco chosefor the night was very, very beautiful. It was located in asmalltownoutside of London with a lot of cozy vibes. The kind of town right out of a storybook. The food was incredible andsurprisinglycheap and normal considering Dracos usual taste. Ginny realized he must have been paying the bill while she was gone.
"So do you want me to bring you home?" He smiled thatridiculous handsomeMalfoy smile at her while asking. The smile that madeGinny hated that he made her nervous all the time
"Idon'tknow. Are there any other options?" Of course she wanted tohave sex withDraco Malfoy but he wasbeing the perfect gentleman thewhole time. Picking her up, walking her home. A kiss at the door. Then he was gone. It was sofrustrating. Ofcourse Ginny could try to seduce him. But shedidn't know how. She was clumsy when it came to those kind of things. She made a fool out ofherself. Harry had told her - sheshouldn't think about that know. This was probably a situation a lot ofwomen would die for. Ginnydidn't get it though. She had seen all thepaparazzi pictures of him doinginappropriate things with beautiful women atinappropriate times. But maybe that was it? Maybe she justwasn't pretty enough. But why did he keep on datingher? Was this a mean trick shehadn't thought of yet? Maybe she should-
His voice snapped her out of herthoughts.
"Well we are wizards after all. We can go wherever you want. What do you want to see Ginevra?"
"Your apartment." Okay - way to go. Ginny hold her breath. That was stupid. Not seductive or sexy at could have swornthat she saw a hint of surprise in his eyes, but hiscool facade was in place again right away. Maybe she just imagined that?
"Okay lets go"
Draco Malfoy apartment was exactly like everyone imagines and Ginny was in awe as soon as she stepped out of the fireplace. The penthous was furnished in a sleek modern style with a lot of marble, thick carpets, abstract paintings and expensive furniture. But none of that caught her eye. It were the floor-to-ceiling windows with an astonishing view of over London by night that captivated Ginny. She was so captured by the view that she didn't notice how close Draco was until he whispered in her ear. She shivered.
"They are charmed. You can look outside. But nobody can see inside. Not that it would matter on the 43rd floor." He placed hand on her voice low and dark. "You know Ginevra, you look stunning tonight. You always look stunning." A sigh escaped Ginny when Draco started kissing her neck down to her collarbone. He slowly turned her around, pressing her against the cold glass of the window. Draco captured her mouth in a kiss. A raw kiss full of desire and lust, which Ginny matched with all she had.
When Ginny woke up the next morning it was completely silent. That was weird. It was never silent in her tiny apartment with all the neighbors and the thin walls. The dog to the right usually started barking as soon as his owner left for work. And the couple to the left screamed at each other the better part of the day in a language Ginny didn't understand. And of course there was the train next to the building that made her furniture shake slightly. But right now it was completely silent. She had never ever woken up in a silence like this - and then it hit her. She was not in her apartment. She had spent the night with Draco fucking Malfoy and had fallen asleep. Was she allowed to fall asleep? "Okay Ginny - don't freak. You are both adults. Just open your eyes and deal with it". The voice inside her repeated the mantra a couple minutes before she could actually work up the courage to open her eyes. But when Ginny did she was quite disappointed. Draco was gone instead there was a note on the nightstand.
Ginevra,
I had to go to the office. There is breakfast waiting for you in the kitchen, beautiful.
I'll owl you tomorrow.
Draco
Ginnys mind raced reading the note. Tomorrow? What was that suppose to mean? Did he want to wait a day before telling her they were done now? She had read enough With Weekly to know that Draco doesn't take a girl home twice. His reputation didn't come from nothing. She sighed. The thought made her sad. It was stupid and not supposed to happen but their dates were great. He asked her questions, he listened to her, he seemed to genuinely care about what she had to say. But she knew that this would happen from the beginning. That he would leave and she would be alone again. She smiled at the note. At least she had written proof that Draco Malfoy thought she was beautiful. A plop ripped her from her thoughts. A houself just showed up, bowing deep in front of Ginny. Its nose almost touching the floor.
"Good morning missus. Tiffy hopes you slept well. Tiffy picked up your clothes from the living room and cleaned them" With a snap the little creature made a stack of neatly folded clothes appear. Ginny noticed her dress. Her face burning with embarrassment. She didn't even realize Draco had a elf and now it had to pick up her clothes around the penthouse because they hastily undressed on the way to the room the night before.
"Umm - thank you Tiffy. Im sorry you had to clean my stuff." The elf eyed her quite suspicious. Clearly not sure how to deal with the strange Lady in front of him.
" Master told Tiffy to make breakfast for Missus when she wakes. Does Missus like coffee or tea?"
"Actually I think I'll just go home and-"
"NO!" The little elf looked quite alarmed. "Tiffy was ordered breakfast. If Missus leaves without breakfast Tiffy is a bad elf. Tiffy would have to iron her hands. But later today Tiffy has to clean the windows. And if Tiffys hands are ironed she can't clean the windows. But if Tiffy doesn't clean the windows Tiffy is a bad elf. Then Tiffy will have to punish-"
"Coffee - I'll have coffee. And a bagel or something like that." Ginny stared at the rambling elf in horror. She didn't want to be responsible for Tiffy to harm herself.
"Very good. Coffee will be waiting at the breakfast table." And with a plop the now suddenly cheery elf was gone. This was crazy. Ginny picked up her dress. It was nice to get cleaned clothes back in the morning though.
After 20 minutes - which Ginny mostly spent starring at Dracos luxuries bathroom- she sat down for breakfast. Just as she was going to take her first sip of coffee the door swung open and a beautiful women walked in. Ginny guessed that she was about her age. Her long black hair was in a high ponytail. Her makeup was on point and she was wearing a black pencil skirt to her emerald blouse. In Ginnys opinion she looked like she walked straight out of the cover of a high fashion magazine.
The woman stopped in her tracks when she spotted Ginny. Crinkling her nose as if she was seeing something really gross.
"Who are you?" She even sounded grossed out.
"Okay look honey. I'm Elise. Dracos personal assistant. I don't know how you managed to spend the night. But his sluts certainly don't stay for breakfast. So why don't you get going before I call security!" She smiled a fake smile and motioned towards the door.
The old Ginny would've defended herself. Would've told Elise that she is certainly not a slut. But that Ginny got lost a long time ago. And the present Ginny realized that Draco would ditch her now that she spent the night. And his assistent would probably have a good laugh when she found out. Ginny basically fled out of Dracos penthouse.
Which brought her to today. A day later. And something was wrong. Ginny knew it. She stared at the With Weekly headline again "Where is Draco Malfoy?". There was not point in reading the article for the 5th time. By now Ginny knew what it said. The last woman Draco was seen in public with was the model Anna Lane at "Level 21" a month ago. The night Ginny had met him. The notorious bachelor had hardly been to any events in the last weeks. And the ones that he did attend he attended alone. According to Which Weekly that never happened before and speculations were going wild. They actually wrote a two paged article with possible reasons.
Ginny was so caught up in her life that she hadn't noticed Dracos face missing on the covers of the gossip magazines. They went on dates. Amazing dates. But they were always in some secluded place. Tiny restaurants out in the countryside. Private tour in a museum after hours. Stuff where no one would actually see them together. Ginny count blue him for that though. A Weasley certainly wasn't good for his reputation. But they only saw each other 5 times. She was sure he was seeing other people still. But apparently he wasn't. Was she the reason for that? Ginny just couldn't imagine that. She was just little, plain, poor Ginny. Not able to be good enough for Harry Potter. Stupid enough not to forgive him. She heard her mothers voice in her head "Just give him a baby and raise it for him. Who cares what he does when he's out as long as he comes home to you?" Ginny shivered at the memory.
She sighed and got up. Finally leaving the stupid article be. Ginny had to get ready. As promised Draco owled her today and invited her over to his place tonight. The letter had said to come casual and comfy and to not eat at home. He had also included the password to floo directly in his living room. He certainly has a weird way of breaking up. She thought about cancelling the whole day. The memory of the night, the knowledge of him dumping her and th article were enough to make her head spinning. But she told herself she was going to be brave.
A always when meeting Draco Ginny changed her outfit quite some times. She finally decided on a green sweatshirt and blue jeans. After putting her hair up in a messy bun and applying a light make up she got going before she could change her mind. She flood right into Dracos empty living room. Where was he? It was kind of rude to invite someone over and then not be there to great them. Ginny was 5 minutes early though. Should she just wait? Or should she go look for him? Or maybe she could call for Tiffy. Do house elf even follow calls from guests? She probably should -
The opening door ripped Ginny out of her thought process. Unfortunately it wasn't Draco walking in. It was Elie - again.
"What the fuck are you doing in here?"
"I was invited and I just-"
"Okay honey I thought I was clear yesterday. Dracos sluts don't stay for breakfast-"
"I'm not a sl-"
"-they are not welcome here at all. I know that he took you out to dinner and told you that you're beautiful, but that does not mean he will marry you. The only reason that you didn't end up in a hotel last night is that his usual hotel is closed for remodeling. I know it's hard for you to understand in your little head. But sex with him does not allow you to just show up whenever you want. You were a one time thing and now he will fuck the next one. He will for sure not appreciate you stalking him so get the hell out of here!"
"Actually I don't appreciate you calling my girlfriend a slut." Dracos voice sounded ice cold and dangerous. Like a predator ready to kill.
Ginny had no idea when he entered the room but she was so glad that he made Elise stop talking. Wait! Did he just say girlfriend?
