Itachi stared at his brother laying on the hospital bed. He sighed deeply and glanced at the window and stared at the peaceful night in the city of Konoha. His brother had been unconscious for 4 days since the incident and he was worried that he won't be able to wake up. He partly regretted his actions for taking his brother, things wouldn't have gone shit if he stayed at the base. But he cannot deny that it will anger the young Uchiha even more knowing his skills and capability will be questioned if he remained in the base. He stared at his brother's sleeping face and chuckled when he realized that Sasuke looked exactly like his mother, and acted like his mother where the heart matters more than the brains. He heard the door creak open and looked up and saw his tired mother enter the room.

" Why don't you go and rest Itachi? I'll watch over Sasuke. " Itachi nodded and stood up. He glanced at his mother, Mikoto had dark circles under her eyes and she looked tired like all her energy was sucked from her body by some demon. He approached his mother and took the bowl of sliced fruits from her hands and placed it on the table. He sighed and hugged her mother. Mikoto sighed and finally lets the tears fall from her eyes. Itachi rubbed her back and reassured her that Sasuke will wake up soon. After listening to a few more reassuring words, Mikoto pulled away from his son and looked up at him.

" If you weren't there, Sasuke would have received greater damage, so thank you for protecting your little brother in our stead. " Itachi nodded and kissed his mother's forehead. He pulled away and walked out and closed the door. Mikoto sighed and sat beside Sasuke's unconscious form. She stared at his sleeping son then glanced at the door where Itachi left.

Some may not know it and some may say that Itachi and Sasuke's rivalry is too much but only a few knew that the brothers cared for each other, deeply that they were ready to throw away their life for the other. Sasuke looked up at Itachi in a respectful and competitive way, where he wanted to surpass his brother, while Itachi respected his brother's wishes and worked harder for Sasuke's wishes to be worth it and victorious. There's respect and adoration between their rivalry. There's love and care in good times and bad times but her sons were too good in concealing it only a few could see it.

I think we raised you and Itachi well, Sasuke.

She leaned down and kissed his forehead.

" Please wake up Sasu-chan. " Mikoto whispered and laid her head on her son's arm.

Itachi entered Tsunade's office and saw her slumped on her chair while drinking her sake. Tsunade looked up at Itachi and went back to looking at the window. Itachi sat down in front of her and slid the documents to her.

" Gaara was able to collect some details and I know you need this. " Tsunade nodded at the Uchiha and remained quiet. She looked at her sake then back at the document.

" Danzo planned this all along, he was the one who gave the tip to Orochimaru about Sakura-san. " Tsunade glared at her drink then sighed. She looked up at Itachi then nodded at him.

" Sadly now we can't file a case at him since he disappeared. He is nowhere to be found in Konoha nor in Suna." Tsunade finally spoke and stared at the picture she had with Shizune and Sakura.

" Minato is talking to his fellow politicians in helping to track down Danzo and they agreed, well except for Oto and Kiri. Please don't lose hope Tsunade-sama, we'll find him and we'll hunt down Orochimaru. " Tsunade nodded at him and smiled. Tsunade glanced at her sake then back at the document. She had a feeling that sooner or later her secrets will be revealed and she feared it most. She'll lose Jiraiya again or worse Sakura. Itachi stole a glance at the blond and noticed she had been anxious for days since their arrival. He knew something about it but remained quiet about it. Itachi remained seated and looked at the window, for a while, the two stayed silent until Jiraiya entered the room. He smiled at Tsunade and moved to stand beside her.

" Itachi, Tsunade, Minato's in the meeting room along with Kakashi, Obito, Rin, and Shisui. Gaara will be calling us tonight for further updates. " Itachi nodded and stood up and went outside first. Tsunade remained seated and stared up at Jiraiya. Jiraiya kneeled beside her and held her hand. Tsunade looked down sadly at him. Jiraiya kissed her hand and slowly helped her up. Tsunade hugged him and cried on his chest.

Jiraiya rubbed her back and whispered softly at her, " We'll find your apprentice, I'll do everything that I can. " Tsunade sniffed and nodded at him, hiding her face on his chest. For a while, they stood silent and when Tsunade cried enough, she pulled away from Jiraiya's embrace and wiped the tears on her cheeks. They went out and headed towards the meeting room. Jiraiya glanced at the blond, who had been silent ever since the troupes returned from Sound.

When they arrived in the meeting room, they saw everyone seated, waiting for them. Minato smiled and nodded at them. Jiraiya locked the door and sat beside Tsunade. Tsunade sighed and held Jiraiya's hand from under the table. Shisui moved the laptop and turned on a small device, later showing a hologrammed face of Gaara.

" Good evening Gaara. " Gaara nodded at Minato and then at everyone.

" I shall make my first official report of Danzo Shimura. I had sent you individually a copy of Danzo's cases and violations in the city and other cities to discuss it officially. First, he had stolen millions from the government especially in the fire nation, and somehow was in contact with my father, the mayor of Suna, who sadly passed away because of heart complications, which I need to mention that Chiyo-baa-sama is currently working on. Second, he is in league with Orochimaru, with the proofs in the folders before you. " Everyone nodded and opened the documents.

" He had smuggled exactly 500 weapons from the government's ANBU department. Which are high-quality weapons, made specifically for the ANBU. We later found out, he was the abductor of another person along with Uchiha Sasuke and Uchiha Madara, the clues and guns used in the infliction of Uchiha Madara are in the safekeeping of Jiraiya who will pass it down to the Chief of Police Force Itachi Uchiha. " Itachi froze from his spot and looked up at Gaara who stared at him. Itachi then moved to look at Jiraiya who pushed a wooden box towards him.

" I hope your grandfather will wake up Itachi-san and Shisui-san. " Itachi nodded at Gaara then sighed deeply. He looked at Shisui who remained quiet and stared at the box. Itachi slowly pulled the box towards him and placed it on his lap.

" Ibiki and Shikaku of Intelligence Division, with Inoichi Yamanaka is currently working on it to further strengthen the case. Another is the retrieved footage of his own home, whereas you can see on the screen. " Everybody looked up and saw a video was played on the hologram. Where Danzo was talking to Orochimaru in his living room that was dated last year.

" Danzo has been in league with Orochimaru in accordance to the pandemic and civil war since last year, to plainly explain it to you all, they had already infiltrated Konoha. Lastly, Danzo was the agent who gave Orochimaru the clue to abduct Sakura-san, who I should mention is a close friend of mine in cram school. Danzo had been eyeing Sakura-san since she had surpassed Tsunade-sama which piqued the interest of the snake to Konoha Hospital's Cherry Blossom. " Tsunade gasped and looked down at the photo of a smiling Sakura staring back up at her. Jiraiya remained silent and stared at the blond.

" I had also found out something important if Tsunade-sama will let me speak about this. " Tsunade bit her lip and remained silent. Everybody in the room remained silent and stared at Tsunade in curiosity. Tsunade finally sighed and nodded at Gaara who smiled sadly at Tsunade. Jiraiya stared at Tsunade trying to know the secret she had kept from them. He then looked back at Gaara who waited for everyone's attention.

" Sakura Haruno, daughter of Kizashi Haruno and Mebuki Haruno, is adopted, her real parents are Jiraiya and Tsunade Senju. Should I also mention that unknown to Jiraiya, he and Kizashi are stepbrothers. With Tsunade-sama's family issue and her father's disapproval of Jiraiya, she was forced to give her own daughter to Kizashi and Mebuki who cannot conceive a child. The couple open-heartedly welcomed the child. This is why Sakura-san together with Sasuke-san and Madara-sam was kidnapped. Danzo feared that if the Konoha's Cherry Blossom will grow up under the power of the Senju, he will be removed from his position since Tsunade had been eyed by the council and officials to be the next head member of the council or the Hokage. Danzo feared when Tsunade sits on the throne his secrets will be discovered. Thus why Sakura-san's safety is on the line. I'm sorry for speaking of this Tsunade-sama but it has been part of my duty to report every detail I had gained. " Tsunade smiled at Gaara and nodded. Everybody looked at Tsunade who was now looking at Jiraiya.

Jiraiya stared sadly at Tsunade, " Why? " Tsunade looked down, her eyes welling up with tears.

" I can't protect her and you left at that time, which you didn't know I was pregnant. I couldn't protect her and my father never accepted you not until he saw you were worthy. It was too late. So with a heavy decision, I can't have her be stained by the name of the Senju when at that time we had more political issues in our family and the community. They wanted me dead remember? I just graduated from college and Danzo wants me dead. " Jiraiya sighed and gripped Tsunade's hand. Jiraiya could feel his heartache while starting at Tsunade. He could feel the tears on his cheeks. He sighed and looked down and realized the blame is on his shoulder for why Tsunade had to give Sakura away. Kakashi cleared his throat and stared at Tsunade.

" When we retrieve her, I think Sakura-chan deserves to know about it. " Everybody nodded in agreement and stared at Tsunade who sighed.

" Sakura-san is very understanding Tsunade-sama, she'll understand why you did it. " Shisui spoke and smiled softly at her.

" We'll save her with all our forces from ANBU and Police Division. " Obito grinned at her and slung his arms around Rin.

" But in exchange for it, you spend time with her, not as her mentor " Rin smiled at Tsunade

" But as her mother. " Itachi spoke and nodded at her. Tsunade bit her lip and nodded at them.

" We'll be there to help you as always Tsunade. Mikoto, Mebuki, and Kushina will be there to help you. " Minato placed his hand on top of Tsunade's. Tsunade smiled at everyone and for a long time, she had finally felt the pain leave her chest.

" I will. This time, I will fight for her and Jiraiya. No matter what the clan elders will say. " She smiled at Jiraiya and held his hand.

" I'm sorry. " Jiraiya remained silent and looked away from Tsunade.

" Continue Gaara-san " Gaara nodded and showed a few footage.

" These are the footages of the abduction and this may be another shock but Sakura-san was also abducted alongside Madara-sama and Sasuke-san. I had first discovered this and asked why Sakura-san was abducted and Danzo gave me a chuckle and said that he had found out at that time that Sakura looked exactly like Tsunade so he concluded that Tsunade-sama was Sakura's mother. Later it was proven when they were able to extract blood from Sakura-san and it matches Sakura-san's DNA with Tsunade-sama. " Everybody in the room started whispering, while Itachi stared at Tsunade who looked shocked. Shisui looked confused and looked at Gaara.

" But I was there to save Grandpa and Sasuke but I didn't see Sakura-san. I didn't see anyone and I was paired up with Ita-" Itachi sighed and placed a hand on Shisui's arm. Shisui widened his eyes and looked at Itachi in disbelief.

" I saved Sakura-san and brought her back to her 'parents'. She was Sasuke's playmate near the division's playground where they would usually meet up, Danzo must have concluded that she was Tsunade's daughter since the Senju and Uchiha's had always been close despite our clan's rivalry. " Tsunade stared at Itachi who nodded his head at her.

" T-thank you Itachi for saving her. " Itachi smiled and looked back at Shisui.

" Why didn't you tell me Itachi? I thought we were a duo? " Itachi sighed and patted Shisui's arm.

" To keep Sakura-san's identity safe since I also had my doubts, but when grandfather went into surgery, him in comatose and my promotion in the division, I forgot about it not until I saw Sakura-san a few weeks back then. " Shisui nodded and smiled at him. Everybody then looked back at Gaara.

" Lastly, I had sent you all the photocopies of some kind of medical journal, sadly I had no knowledge of it but with Chiyo-baa-sama's help, we were able to understand it. Sakura-san and Sasuke-san were injected with a liquid called COH, Curse of the Heaven, which was a failed chemical reaction that was created centuries ago, it was a green liquid that would make your body react uniquely to the chemical, knowing the Senju and Uchiha's have ancient blood. " Everybody stared at Gaara in disbelief and looked at the old tattered journal projected in the hologram.

" And of course, the Danzo-Orochimaru case started at this time. Danzo's hatred for Uchiha's and Orochimaru's envy towards Senju Tsunade, they thought it was the right time to abduct the youngest in the clan. " Jiraiya sighed and gripped Tsunade's hand tighter.

" My apologies for the reports, I might have spilled some personal data and instill emotions right now but these are some of the things I had gained through documents and conversation between me and Danzo. " Minato smiled at Gaara.

" You did your job Gaara, our deepest condolences for your father, and thank you and I'll talk to you later. " Gaara nodded and soon the hologram was turned off. Minato stood up and looked at everyone. He glanced at the wall clock then back at everyone. He sighed deeply and smiled at them.

" This report is a great shock to all of us, so I would adjourn the meeting for tonight and fix any personal problems. Still, I am open for everyone to approach. Good night everyone. " He nodded and smiled at them, he glanced worriedly at Jiraiya and Tsunade. Everybody stood up and bowed at him. Minato walked out of the room before stopping to pat Jiraiya's arm.

" Good night sensei. " Jiraiya nodded at him. Minato left the room followed by everyone except for Tsunade and Jiraiya. Jiraiya walked to the door and looked at Tsunade.

" Go check up on Sasuke and I'll wait for you in your office. " Jiraiya then walked out of the room. Tsunade bit her lip and looked at her hands.

" If he wakes up, just give him some warm water. Though there's a possibility that he'll go on a tantrum, so it's safe if Itachi and Shisui are here to watch over with you until Sasuke wakes up. " Mikoto nodded at Tsunade who was checking up Sasuke's condition. Soon she looked up at Mikoto and smiled. Mikoto placed her hand on Tsunade's forearm.

" If you need any help, I'll be here as well as Kushina and Mebuki. " Tsunade smiled at her and nodded. She waved to Mikoto and left the room and walked towards her office. She could feel her heart aching as she moved closer towards her office. She had kept the secrets for years and she didn't expect it to be exposed today. She was hoping it'll last longer when she finally had the courage. She stood in front of her office door and breathed in heavily. When she opened it she saw Jiraiya seated on her sofa while staring at the window. She locked the door and stood in front of Jiraiya.

" I- "

" Why didn't you tell me? " Tsunade bit her lower lip and looked at Jiraiya who was staring at her.

" You left remember? And you know that Konoha is in its civil war, between the government and the people. Sakura was not safe at that time. Plus, I just graduated from school and I was at review school, my parents didn't know I was carrying a baby since I didn't see them till I was out from review school. You left to travel the world just so you could finish your book, you left me for a book, can you blame me for it? " Jiraiya stood up and glared at Tsunade.

" Well you could have told me, maybe at that time, you didn't have to give Sakura to my stepbrother who I have no idea existed. " Tsunade looked down and avoided Jiraiya's angry eyes. He never screams nor shouts nor gets angry at anyone, this was the first time. So Tsunade stayed silent and looked down. Jiraiya approached the blond and towered over her. He could hear her sobs and sniffs. He sighed and hugged the blond.

" I'm sorry I wasn't there and I understand why you had to hide her from me and from everyone. The information was just too much. I'm sorry I screamed, I'm sorry I left for a stupid book." He kissed her forehead and pulled away from her. He wiped the tears on her eyes and stared at her.

" When we save OUR daughter, we will tell her and this time you need to be honest with me and to her. Then we need to tell your parents, they're old and they deserve to see their granddaughter despite the hate we'll receive from them. " Tsunade nodded at him. Jiraiya smiled and leaned down to kiss her lips.

" We'll start new. " Tsunade nodded but then glared at him.

" No more stalking of girls. " Jiraiya chuckled and nodded. Tsunade could feel the guilt crawling up to her chest, Jiraiya was too good though he left her, he came back for her a few years afterward. She sighed in his chest and wrapped her arms around him

Itachi arrived in his apartment and was greeted with a warm hug from his fiancée, Izumi. He stared at the brunette on his chest for a while. He chuckled and hugged her. He kissed her cheek and dragged her to the couch. Pulling the brunette on his lap and hugged her.

" I missed you. " He whispered and kissed her lips. Izumi giggled and pulled away. Itachi stared at the brunette who he hasn't seen for a month.

" I miss you too Itachi-kun. So how is Sasuke? " Itachi sighed and leaned on the couch while caressing Izumi's face. He stared at her flawless skin and beautiful dark eyes before answering.

" Still unconscious, I'll be returning in the hospital later with Shisui to watch over him, while Okaasan will rest here. Otousan will arrive two hours from now. They'll be staying here for a while since the drive from home will be tiring and long. " Izumi nodded and hugged him.

" You wanna rest? How about dinner? what do you want me to cook? " Itachi chuckled and shook his head.

" I just wanna take a bath. " Izumi nodded and was about to stand up.

" Let me go Itachi-kun so I can heat up the water for you. " Itachi chuckled and pulled her back into his lap.

" I wanna take a long relaxing and hot bath with you. " Izumi turned red and slapped Itachi's arm.

" Your parents will get here later and they'll find us. " Itachi stood up and carried the brunette bridal style. He kissed the brunette on the lips and walked towards their room.

" Don't worry they have their own room. Plus the butler will escort them to their rooms directly. I already gave them some directions. " Izumi giggled and wrapped her arms around Itachi. Izumi leaned and kissed Itachi who smiled and removed his shoes on the way to his room.

" mmhmm. " Itachi smiled and went inside his room and locked it.

Itachi looked at his sleeping lover wrapped like a cocoon in his arms. He kissed her forehead and caressed her cheeks. He had missed the brunette since he hasn't seen her for a month. He stared at her long lashes then moved to look at her button nose then down at her pink plump lips. He smiled and pulled the covers up to her shoulder and stealthily moved away from her.

He picked up his wristwatch on the bedside table and stared at it. He ran a hand through his hair and sighed. He didn't realize he had overstayed. Izumi had always had this kind of power on him where he would forget about time and his responsibility, he would be at ease and be at peace and that made him realize he needed her.

He picked up their clothes on the ground and threw them in the hamper. He walked to their bathroom to brush his teeth and wash his face. After so, he stared at his face and realized his face showed how tired he was. He saw the lines between his cheeks and eyes, and the bags under his eyes are darker than it usually was. He just looked pale and tired. He ran a hand on his face and glanced one last time at his face and picked up his shirt in the closet.

After dressing up with a simple red shirt and black shorts, he moved to sit on the bed and wore his socks and red shoes. He glanced one last time at Izumi who was still sleeping peacefully then walked out of the room then closing it. He walked past the living room then entered his spacious kitchen and dining room. He was surprised when he found his parents still awake. He glanced at the wall clock.

10:45 pm

He looked at his father who was sitting on one of the stools while his mother was cooking. He cleared his throat and moved to stand beside the island counter near his mother and the fridge.

" Shouldn't you both be sleeping? " Fugaku looked up from his book and moved to look at his eldest son. He nodded at Itachi to acknowledge his son's presence. Mikoto looked at Itachi and smiled.

" I hope you don't mind, you're father is hungry from his trip so I took some of your food in your fridge and made him some dinner. I realized you didn't have a defroster so I had to wait for the meat to soften. " Itachi nodded and opened the fridge and took out a bottle of water. Fugaku closed his book and stared at Itachi's back.

" Shisui is already in the hospital, he was waiting for you but your mother said you must have fallen asleep so we didn't bother to wake you up. " Itachi nodded and open the cupboards pulling out his insulated lunch bag.

" Ah, I'll just bring him some dinner for Shisui and in case if Sasuke wakes up. " Fugaku nodded looked at his wife who was now serving his meal and separating some for Itachi to bring.

" Here, I already made as many as I could since you'll be watching over Sasu-chan. " Itachi snorted at his mother's nickname for Sasuke and smiled softly at her.

" Ah, you and father rest, I'll watch over Sasuke tonight. " Mikoto nodded and handed the plate to his husband.

" I'll visit tomorrow morn- " Itachi shook his head at his mother then moved to take a few packs of coffee.

" Mother. . . . rest, you haven't slept for days, why don't you rest here and do something with Izumi tomorrow. I'll watch over Sasuke and I'll call you when Sasuke is awake. " Mikoto pouted and looked at his husband for back up but Fugaku shook his head and started eating his meal.

" f-fine. " Itachi nodded and kissed Mikoto on her forehead. Mikoto looked at Itachi who was heading to the entrance door. Itachi took his coat from the rack and halted when he opened the door. Mikoto and Fugaku looked at Itachi who was standing in the doorway waiting for their attention.

" Oh and Father, I'll see you tomorrow. Good night. " Itachi then closed the door then nodded at his butler who was standing in the hallway.

" Give them what they want but as much as you could, don't let mother come near the hospital. And call the maids tomorrow early for the rooms to get cleaned we'll be having a visitor. " Itachi wore his coat and fixed his hair while giving the instructions to the butler.

" Yes, young master and your car is already set. Shisui-sama also called to let you know he needed some liquid to keep him up all night. " Itachi rolled his eyes and took the key from the butler's hand.

" Ah, thanks. " Itachi entered the lift and watched the door close before his eyes. He closed his eyes and smiled. He was glad his mother was finally able to rest along with his father.

Hello how is everyone? it's kinda short and simple, nothing action-ny just dramatic. Shocking right? Wish I myself knew Tsunade and Jiraiya was the parent. It wasn't part of the plan but this thick brain of mine wants it. You gotta give what it needs. HAHAHA

My draft is waaaaay ahead, if you're worried. I just finished the draft in Chapter 17 so don't worry. There's more coming just gotta polish this masterpiece.

I'm planning on making one-shot fanfics, you can suggest what to make you satisfy our Sasusaku hearts. Planning to make one soooon.
