'What is she doing?' Yui saw how Kei was intensely staring at a piece of glass.

"Oh! Didn't see you there, Yui. Don't mind me," Kei said, before resuming her intense glass-staring session. It was a couple of months before the start of the entrance exam, and Kei decided to pick up an abandoned project with her Quirk: Controlling glass without touching it.

While she could control all sand in a big radius, the same could not be said about the glass. While she could control glass, there had to be a physical touch before the glass entered her control, and it wasn't instantaneous either, she had to touch the glass for about 3 seconds before it was under her control. 'Maybe I'm missing something? I'm pretty sure some Quirks "Evolve" after a long time… so maybe I'll need to "Evolve" before I get control over glass freely?'

She kept eye contact with the piece of glass for a while before giving up and deciding to just look at her lap with a sad expression, her ears flopping. 'Maybe when I start my actual hero training I'll learn how to do it…'

Yui watched the now floppy ears with interest 'I never saw her do that before… Now that I think about it, I have never touched her ears… She wouldn't mind if I?...' She approached Kei and reached one of her flopped ears and touched it.

"Hm? Yui?" Kei said, turning around to look at Yui. She heard Yui approach her but did not expect this scenario. 'Not like I mind'

"Ah… sorry-"

"It's ok, I don't mind. Just be gentle, they are a little bit sensitive," Kei closed her eyes and her ears went to their normal positions. Yui, after a bit of hesitation, started touching the ears.

'The fur is really nice… the white fluff on the inside feels much like the one on her tail…' Yui quite liked how it felt on her fingers, though it was simple to see that the one enjoying the moment the most was Kei. She was trying hard not to lean into the touch to not hurt her pride (out of embarrassment), but she could not resist anymore and almost head slammed into Yui's hand with a massive smile. Yui was startled by this reaction but just kept touching her ears, before changing to full-on petting, Kei enjoyed every moment of the interaction, completely forgetting about her "pride" (Embarrassment).

Yui patted Kei's head, and she responded by rubbing her head in Yui's hand.

All of this interaction was witnessed by Setsuna, who was watching from up in the sky where they could not see her, with her phone in her hands and taking multiple photos. She did not intend to show them to anyone anytime soon. 'Maybe in the future when these two lovebirds get inevitably married, it will be good teasing material. Hehehe' With that, she left them alone to keep enjoying each other's company.

"What do you have in mind, Kei?" Asked Setsuna, looking at Kei who was staring pensively at the sky.

"I know that look, she has another impractical idea," Said Yui.

"I mean it's not that bad of an idea, just a bit… brutal?" Kei said. Then she started moving around the sand and turning it into glass. 'The chain part I already have…' A handle formed, connected to a long chain that was holding a massive spiked ball.

"Brutal all right… I don't think it's a good idea to use a… umm"

"Morning Star"

"Yeah, that. I don't think it's a good idea to use it against even Villains." Setsuna said.

"Well, at least I have it in my possible arsenal" Said Kei, turning the brutal weapon back into sand. "So, are you guys ready for the entrance exam?"

"I guess. I don't think I can learn much more without entering U.A. itself," Said Yui.

"My exam is a couple of days earlier than you two… I wonder what we are going to do…" Setsuna said.

"I don't think it will be much different than the normal entrance exam, though probably way more demanding," Kei said.

"I hope it's not that hard…"

"You'll be okay,"

"By the way, how's that thing you were practicing earlier?" Setsuna asked.

"Hm? Ahh that" Kei moved the sand to form a big hand. "I think it's usable now. I can move the fingers to grab things… Also!"

"Here it comes,"

Kei created a massive Greatsword spanning 3 meters and gave it to the flying sand hand. "This is the coolest thing I've ever done!"

"That… Is actually kind of cool…" Yui said. Kei looked at her with a cocky grin.

It has been a couple of days since Setsuna did her recommended student exam. They gave her the results a couple of days later and she got in, but she is waiting for both Kei and Yui to see which class she got.

Both Yui and Kei were entering the U.A. grounds, both in their school uniform. "So. are you ready for the shitshow? I hope there's enough sand around, They wouldn't let me bring my own for some reason…" Kei said.

"I'm sure there will be enough… Isn't that the guy who was attacked by that sludge villain?" Yui said, pointing at a teenager with a mop of blond hair and a seemingly permanent scowl, he passed by another teenager with green hair, who got out of his way waving his arms frantically.

'Isn't that the protagonist? I'm pretty sure the protagonist had green hair… Ah, he fell'

"Well, let's enter. We have the written exam first… I hope it isn't that hard," Kei said.

"You always get high places in our exams, you should be okay," Said Yui, to which Kei responded with a smile.

'Well, it was definitely an exam for a top hero school… I don't think I did bad, but I can't deny it wasn't hard' Thought Kei. After the written exam, which lasted two hours, she went to the orientation for the practical exam. Basically, they would enter a massive fake city in which they would need to fight "Faux-villains" for points, there being robots for 1, 2, and 3 points along with a massive "Zero-pointer" which was basically an obstacle. 'Simple enough, I'll just need to find a fairly deserted place with lots of robots and go wild… I really want to use my morning star'

"I know that face, you are going to use the morning star," Said Yui, her eyes narrowed at Kei.

"Huhu you know me so well, Yui. By the way, which battle center did you get? I got D" Kei asked.

"F for me, we'll be separated…" Yui said, a bit saddened but her expression did not show it.

"You'll do well by yourself. Come on, we have to get changed"

~Battle center D~

Kei waited in front of a massive door. She was wearing a simple tracksuit for ease of movement. 'So… I'll get to an area with little people and get some points there before it inevitably gets filled… I should also try to save people where I see them. I don't remember much from the anime but I'm sure there was something to gain by rescuing people… and isn't that the main point of being a hero?'

She heard how someone was approaching her, it seemed to be a random guy trying to hit on her. Before he could get a word out, Kei turned around and walked to another place. 'Sorry guy, I'm into women'

Kei looked around the other examinees, trying to see if there was anyone she could remember from the anime. 'Hmm… nope, no idea… Though I guess the ones with the more funky hair colors should be somewhat important,' Kei thought, looking at a guy with short gold hair with a lighting-shaped streak. He noticed how she was staring and looked the other way, embarrassed about being looked at by a cute girl.

"Would anyone be willing to let me copy their quirk? It will only be temporary," Said a blond-haired young man. Looking around, it seemed like no one wanted to let someone copy their quirk.

'Guess that should be expected, people really like that sense of individuality. Also, isn't that Monoma?' How does Kei remember Monoma of all people you might ask? Well, because he is one of her favorite characters! No need for more explanation, the guy was always someone Kei found fun to watch. "I don't mind letting you copy mine, I'll even teach you a bit before we enter," Kei said, gaining the attention of the future hero student.

"Oh! I thank you for your generosity! I only need physical contact to copy it. We have a couple of minutes so I can copy it later while you show me how to use it."

Monoma copied the Quirk, and she explained how to use it. From feeling the sand around him to converting said sand into glass. Since he isn't used to the Quirk, she said that it would be better if he stuck to throwing glass projectiles at the enemies. He thanked her and proposed working together, but Kei decided not to so they wouldn't pull on the same sand when fighting. She still proposed staying fairly close so he could copy it again when his timer ran out. "Stay to my left and get sand from there, I'll only pull from the right."

"Okay, start!"

"Now, copy it and follow me!" Monoma rapidly copied Sand Arts and they both started running. They soon encountered two one-pointers, and each took one of the robots. Monoma made a throwing motion and destroyed one of the robots. They both agreed to do something distinctive to let the examiners differentiate between each other's attacks. Monoma made throwing motions when attacking and Kei only used swords. Kei noticed how a two-pointer was rapidly approaching their position, and decided to finally make a weapon for herself. She made a scythe and used her quirk to pull herself behind the robot and slice it cleanly in two. "I was waiting to do that for so long!"

"So you can also make weapons?" Asked Monoma, now back to running to a more secluded place.

"Yeah, I didn't propose you do it since it takes a bit of learning to first make the weapons effectively, and then know how to use them… That's why I only ever use 4 different weapons. This scythe is one of them." She said, catching the sight of another two-pointer and sending three swords to defeat it.

"And what about the other three?" Asked Monoma, sending a big chunk of glass at a 2-pointer.

"They are chains, a Zweihander, and a Morning star,"

"That's an interesting lineup of weapons… Can't say they aren't cool," Monoma said.

"Ahhh so you are a man of taste!"

"Huhuh, what can I say? Big weapons are cool,"

They arrived at a place that seemed to have fewer people. "Well, I'll take this side. When your timer is running out just come here" Monoma nodded and went the opposite way. 'Cool guy… Well, it's time to bring out the big guns!' Kei thought and formed the Morning Star with a long chain. She held the handle using her Quirk, started wildly throwing it around and destroying multiple faux villains in her line of sight, later deciding to stop counting the points since it broke her concentration. Any and all examinees who saw how the cute girl swung around the brutal weapon decided to go to another place for points, not wanting to be accidentally hit by her.

~Observation room~

"This year's group looks quite promising…" Someone said, looking at a big heteromorphic examinee who was gathering information with his Quirk.

"That is true… That kid with the hardening Quirk seems to have a good hold on his Quirk… He already has a good amount of points,"

"That would be Eijiro Kirishima, Quirk: Hardening. He is doing good… Though not everything is brute force, look there. That kid seems to be using animals to deactivate the robots from far away,"

"That is a good Quirk… Hmm… Koji Koda, Quirk: Anivoice, he can make animals do his bidding by talking to them,"

"I'm more concerned about those that are a bit wild," A hero with a spacesuit said, indicating a monitor that showed a young man with blonde hair exploding multiple villains. "He is good, but those types are always hard to deal with… Though at the pace he is destroying robots, he will surely enter U.A."

"That is Katsuki Bakugo, Quirk: Explosion, pretty self-explanatory,"

"If we are talking about wild, how about that fox girl over there?" a hero that looked like a cowboy said, indicating the monitor that showed Kei swinging around her Morning star and destroying multiple robots.

"Hmm… She doesn't seem wild to me, if you look closely, she is making sure to only attack what's in her field of vision, and all the times she saw someone approach, she moved the weapon away," A rat-dog-bear being said.

"Kei Inari, Quirk: Sand Arts. She can control sand around her along with turning it into glass,"

"So she is using her Quirk to make sure the weapon doesn't hit other people? That's some good control over her Quirk… She also seems to be a good team player,"

They saw how another examinee called out to Kei, and she stopped attacking robots. They shook hands before separating.

"That's Neito Monoma, Quirk: Copy. He can copy Quirks by making contact with the original user. The copies have a time limit though,"

"I saw them talking before entering the City. They even collaborated before separating, probably to not get in the way of each other while using the same Quirk,"

"We have a good crop this year it seems!"

~Battle center D~

After separating from Neito, Kei decided to change strategy and go back to a scythe. Also making a big sand hand and giving it a Zweihander. 'There's only 5 minutes left, so I don't need to make sure to stay near Monoma, since his timer is also 5 minutes'

Kei jumped onto the sharp side of the scythe and propelled herself using her Quirk, dulling the part where she put her feet to not cut herself. She was going straight at a three-pointer, and using her momentum, cut through it cleanly before digging the tip of the scythe into the ground to stop herself, landing cleanly on the handle of the scythe and sending her sand hand to destroy another two one-pointers. 'I may have trained way too much to do this stunt, hehe'

"4 Minutes left!"

"Hmm… I wonder how many points I have? I wasn't really counting…" Another one-pointer was rapidly going to her position from behind her, but she heard it and sent her sand hand to destroy it. 'I wonder how Yui is doing… I hope she ends up in the top 10, we trained a lot. I do remember she is a canon character but I don't think she entered the top 10 of the exam… That may change now because of my influence and Setsuna's though,'

Hopping out of the scythe and taking it into her arms, she proceeded to slash an approaching two-pointer and smashing another with the sand hand. Kei decided to change zones and along the way, helped a struggling examinee who was being cornered by a bunch of robots, though she only destroyed one and left the other two for the examinee, binding them with glass so they don't corner the examinee.

A loud rumble reverberated around the battle center, and from the distance appeared a massive robot that dwarfed all of the buildings around. 'Oh shit, it's the zero-pointer…' Kei observed the robot, trying to see if there was any way to defeat it. '...ughhh… nope, impossible. There isn't nearly enough sand to destroy this thing… and I don't have the reach yet' Coming to a conclusion, Kei decided to start running. But still staying close enough to catch any stray examinees that are way too close to the massive robot, using her chains to grab and pull them away from it.

"Kei!" Shouted Monoma, who saw how Kei was helping other examinees. "Shouldn't you be running?" He asked.

"I could, but there are way too many people close to the robot, so I'm helping them run away. If you want you can also do it, this is a hero exam, so I'm sure you'll win something by doing it,"

Monoma thought for a moment before agreeing to help by throwing glass chunks at any falling debris that got way too close to other examinees.

"2 Minutes left!"

"Hmm… Those two are helping others escape, that's some good heroism,"

"That's what we are wanting to see,"

"Those chains are pretty strong… Maybe she can change the hardness of the glass? And she has good control over them…" A hero with a dominatrix costume said, licking her lips.

"Don't look at the children like that…" A man with black hair and a big scarf around his neck said, looking at the other hero with concerned eyes.

"Oi, look at that screen! That kid jumped at the zero-pointer!"

"There doesn't seem to be any other people there, let's just run," Kei said, before starting to run faster along with Neito.

"What did you mean by getting something by helping others?" Asked Neito.

"This is a test for future heroes. Wouldn't it make sense to reward examinees that help and save other examinees?"

"Hmm… Yeah, you're right." Neito and Kei kept running until the time ran out.

"Well, that was incredibly tiring… It did feel great to finally unwind and destroy something though!" Said Kei.

"Thanks for the help there, I don't know what I would've done without your quirk,"

"It's ok, It seems like you could've done well even without my Quirk. I hope we get into the same hero course," Kei said with a small smile.

"Really confident, huh?" He said.

"After the amount of robots I defeated and everyone I saved, it would be weird if I don't get in… Though I honestly did not count how many villains I defeated"

"Hehe, that is true,"

They exchanged numbers, and separated a while later, agreeing to share their results when they came. Kei then found Yui waiting for her. "How did you do, Yui?" She asked.

"I'm sure I did well enough,"

"I'm sure you got in, especially with your written exam," Kei patted Yui's back.

Yui looked like she wanted to say something, but decided not to. Kei though, realized this. "Let's go to my house, I'll let you comb my tail," Kei said. Yui looked at her, and then a small smile formed on her face.

~1 week later~ ~Kei's room~

Kei, Yui, and Neito all received their U.A. exam results and decided to make a call to share their results. Setsuna finally saw what class she was entering, which showed that she ended up in 1-B. The first to see their results was Neito, who got a hologram showing Ectoplasm, a teacher in U.A. presenting his results and congratulating him for his high placement. He got 5th place with 36 villain points and 30 rescue points

"Ohhh, 5th place? That's great, Neito!" Said Setsuna.

"Congratulations," Said Yui.

"Well done, bro," Sai Kei.

"Hehe, thanks… Now, for my class… Hmm… It seems I also got 1-B!" He said, showing it to the camera,"

"We got the same class!"

"Now it's my turn," Said Yui, opening the envelope that revealed her placement. She got 32 Villain points and 22 rescue points, Which sadly did not let her enter the top 10.

"Aww, you were so close…" Setsuna said, a bit saddened by the result.

"I still got more than I thought, and I also got in so I don't mind," Yui looked at the class she was going to enter. "Also got 1-B"

"Seems we'll all be sharing a class!"

"Don't jinx it, Setsuna. Kei still hasn't opened her envelope. I'm sure she got a high placement, considering we were using the same quirk all the time and she has more mastery over it," Said Neito.

"Well… Let's see!" Kei opened the envelope…

"I'm here as a projection!"

"Eh! Is that All Might?!" Asked Neito in surprise.

"You might be asking yourself why I'm presenting these results. Well, you see. From now on, I'll be a teacher at U.A.! And I was asked to present the results for the top three in the practical exam!"

"Wait… does that mean?"

"Yes! Top three! You, Young Inari, got the amazing score of 66 Villain points and 43 Rescue points! Which will put you at…" The screen showed a leaderboard with the top ten students with the highest scores on the exam, at the top of the list was Kei Inari with a total score of 109.

"F-First place?!" Said Kei, absolutely stunned by the revelation.

"Wait, you got first place? That's amazing!"

"I mean… At some point I was just having fun destroying robots… didn't really pay any attention to my score…"

"To be expected…" Yui said, facepalming, but also happy that Kei got first place.

"I congratulate you, Young Inari! You made a great achievement today! This is your hero academia!" With that, the video stopped.

"That was amazing! You even got All Might to present your results!" Cheered Setsuna.

"That was truly amazing," Neito said.

"Congratulations, Kei," Yui said.

"Thanks guys…" Kei said, a big smile on her face.

"Let's see which class you got in!" Said Setsuna.

"Ok," Kei unfolded the card that came with the envelope 'Please be 1-B please be 1-B please be 1-B…' She repeated on her head. Then she read the letter. "..." Her ears flopped and her expression changed into a depressed one.

"Oh… I don't like that…" Setsunda said.

"1-A…"

"Aww… That sucks…"

"We'll still be all on the hero course, so we should still celebrate even if we aren't all in the same class!" Neito said in an attempt to brighten the mood.

"Yeah… You are right… Still kinda sucks, I wanted to be in the same class as you guys…" Kei said, her ears still down.

"Let's group up tomorrow and go eat something to celebrate!" Setsuna said, cheering.

"That sounds great, Setsuna!" Neito said.

Meanwhile, Yui was watching the moping Kei. A while later after the call ended, Yui decided to call Kei. "Kei, how about I go to your house now?" She asked.

"Hm? Are you sure? It's getting late,"

"I'll still go, you look depressed about the results…"

"...Well… I'm not going to say no."

~10 Minutes later~

"Come in," Kei said, opening the door for Yui. She entered and they both walked to her room. "So, what do you wanna do?" Asked Kei, to which Yui responded by sitting in a seiza and slapping her lap.

"Come," She said.

"What?"

"Lap pillow."

"Oh… Ok," Kei sat on the ground and put her head on Yui's lap. 'Hmm… this… feels great,'

Yui then started petting Kei's head gently, making sure to scratch the back of her ears, which she realized that Kei quite liked. Kei closed her eyes and enjoyed the touch in silence, a smile and blush adorned her face.

Yui's mind was a mess at the moment, but after questioning if this was a good idea, decided to not think too much about it and just enjoy the feeling of Kei's hair in her hand and the pleased expression on her face.

Kei fell asleep a while later, enjoying Yui's petting. Yui watched the sleeping Kei in silence, still caressing her head gently. She wanted to tell her. How much she loved her, how much every moment they spent together felt like the best, especially when they were alone. But she still wasn't ready.

By now she was sure Kei already realized her feelings for a while, and Yui knew that they felt the same, but she still wasn't ready to put it into words. 'Not yet…'

'... I can't feel my legs…'

Did not expect to be instantly attacked with some Kei Yui action in the first scene, huh?

The first scene came to mind while I was watching a Fox Vtuber (FoxPlushy) and saw her ears. I really wanted Yui to touch them, hence the scene.

Ear privileges will be exclusive to Yui ;)

This thing is straying from being an SI, but whatever. Kei likes big weapons, I like big weapons. We are the same.

Also Monoma… I really like Monoma. If for some reason Kei was Bisexual, I'm sure he would be the main male "love interest". Shame that she is a hopeless lesbian.

This chapter is currently the longest with a total amount of 4042 words without counting the notes at the start and end of the chapter and the Omake (which is only 232 words). So that's cool!

Also… Yeah… Maybe Sand Arts is a bit too OP… Whatever HAHAHAHAHA

-Scythe (Looks like Seele's scythe from Honkai Star Rail) (I like to think that she fights kind of like Ruby from RWBY when using both the scythe and her Quirk to help her)

-Zweihander (A version that looks like the "Buster Sword" from FF and a thinner "Traditional" version) (The "Buster Sword" version is almost exclusive to using it with her Quirk helping her. She isn't strong enough to swing it with her strength alone)

-Chains (with and without a sharp point at the end. The version with the bladed end looks like the "Chains of heaven" from Fate)

-Morning Star (Rem's from Re:Zero)

-Swords (Multiple. From normal swords to some from anime and games, like Excalibur (both normal and Proto) from Fate and Clarent also from Fate)

-Sand hand (Literally that. A big sand hand. It's a bit hard to manipulate since she has to control all fingers separately, but after a lot of practice, got it right. Though she can only use one a the moment,)

A couple of minutes after the call with Yui, Setsuna, and Kei, Neito rested on his bed, thinking about the results he got in the exam. He was sure he wouldn't have gotten such a result without the help of Kei, so he was quite glad to have met her. However he did notice something about her and Yui during their call, so she decided to call Setsuna and ask her about it.

"Yeah, they are big lovebirds… To the point that it kind of makes me sick. It makes me mad how much they show it, and they still aren't dating. It's incredibly frustrating," Setsuna said.

"Is it really that bad?" He asked.

"It's maddening…"

"My condolences…"

"They are still too cute, and I did promise Yui to not tell Kei about it… Though

I'm sure they are both aware of their feelings. Yui said she is not ready, but Kei confuses me. I know she's aware, but she hasn't done anything about it…" Setsuna, her head falling on the rest of her chair and her eyes staring at the ceiling.

"Again, my condolences… Still, it shouldn't be too long before this changes, we did enter the hero course after all, and this is the best moment to do it. Yui is probably thinking of confessing during one of these days… hopefully" Even Neito wasn't sure about it.

"One can hope…"
