ADHD is a bitch

I'm back… next chapter in 6 months hahahahahaha

This one is barely shorter than the other chapters, but still felt like only 500 words.

Sorry hehe~

Anyway.

Enjoy.

"Tu sonrisa tan resplandeciente~

A mi corazón deja encantado~

Ven toma mi mano~

Para huir de esta terrible oscuridad~"

Kei sang as she peacefully walked through the street. She was on schedule to arrive at least 10 minutes before the agreed-upon time.

"En el instante en que te volví a encontrar~

Mi mente trajo a mí aquel hermoso lugar~

Que cuando era niño fue tan valioso para mi~"

Truly a peaceful start of the day!

-BOOM!

Truly a peaceful start of the day!

-BOOM! "Outta the way!"

Truly a… peaceful start of the day…

Sometimes she wanted to curse her luck. Was this karma for not preparing for the future and noting down everything she could remember from canon? 'It definitely is…'

Looking behind her, she could see smoke coming from a bank she had passed a couple of minutes before, and two people running with literal bags of money and other valuables like jewelry and electronics stuffed inside backpacks, some of the valuables were even falling out of the bag. It seemed like they had just robbed said bank and were also picking from whoever was in their way. 'And they are… rapidly approaching me…'

She didn't have any way to evade them, the road was too dangerous with so many cars. 'Don't want to get run over again…' and the buildings near her seemed to have noticed the danger and closed their doors… without letting her in… 'Assholes. At least some people entered I guess'

She obviously couldn't use her quirk to escape, that would be "Unlawful Quirk Usage", which would come with a big fine. 'Even if it's for getting out of the way of danger… How ridiculous'

Self-defense it was. 'If they are the ones to start the fight, then it doesn't count as vigilantism, right?' She did not read up much on quirk law.

The villains were rapidly approaching. 'Are there really no heroes here?' She approached the glass panes of a store near her and put her hand on the glass.

"Drop everything you have, freak!" One of the villains said, this one seemed to have a decently strong fire quirk. He was no Todoroki though.

'Quirkist too? Fun. And I'm so cute too…'

"No." She nonchalantly said. The other villain, who seemed to have a minor strengthening quirk, instantly threw a punch aimed at her face.

The glass broke into multiple pieces at the same time as she crouched. Using their confusion, she tripped the fire user and made a chain to grab onto the brawler's legs and lift him up. Another chain grabbed onto the fire user's legs and also lifted him up. Two more tinier chains restrained them by the arms.

'And that's done! Good job, me!' She said, using a sand hand to pat herself on the back.

"Shit! What are these things made of?!" The brawler yelled in confusion and anger.

"Glass." The brawler looked at her in bewilderment.

"I can just melt it then!" The fire user said, before adjusting his hands and throwing flames at the chains in his arms.

"I wouldn't-" Too late. "Oh…"

"GAHHH! HUR-HURTS! Get it off! Please, I beg you! Please ple-'" The villain said, writhing on the floor in intense pain. He burned himself.

"You aren't too bright, aren't you?" She said, making another chain, pulling off the previous ones, and rapidly replacing it with the new one. "Don't burn yourself."

Another large chain wrapped around the two villains and restrained them together for good measure.

She looked at her phone. 'I'll tell them I'll arrive late'

Looking around, she noticed some onlookers with their phones out, recording her. '... Ugh…' She turned around and looked away from the cameras, but before that, she noticed the running figure of what seemed to be a hero and police cars. 'Finally.' The hero looked a bit dejected, noticing that the villains were already restrained.

The police cars pulled over, and a cop got out of one of the vehicles. "Did you do this?" He asked, looking at the restrained villains.

"Yes. They attacked me first, so I defended myself."

"hmm…" He mused as he noted something on his notepad. "... What about that burn on his arm?" He asked.

"He did that to himself. He tried to melt the glass, but burned himself instead. I tried to stop him, but it was too late. The most I could do was replace the chain." She answered.

"Hmm… ok. Do you mind if we hold you here a bit longer? Standard procedure." He said.

"As long as it doesn't take too long, it's ok. I have a training session to get to."

"Hero student?"

"Yeah. Preparing for the U.A. sports festival."

"Ohh. Good luck then; I won't take much of your time"

"Thanks, I appreciate the consideration." She said.

As she answered the officer's questions, she also heard the other officer interrogating the villains.

"... Bombs… I don't know!... That bast-... He told-... easy!... Tw-... Massive…" He sounded scared at the end. She couldn't discern what exactly they were saying, but judging by what little she did, there was a third party involved.

'I wonder what happened…' But whatever it was, it didn't concern her. She had a training session to get to.

Battle Center C

Kei speed walked to the gates of the battle center. '20 Minutes late… I feel dirty' She always disliked arriving late. 'They probably already started'

As she entered the gates, she noticed a pair of flying horns and two hands evading them. 'Setsuna and that American girl?'

"Kei." Someone called for her. It wasn't a loud call, anyone else would've missed it. Not Kei though.

Her head whipped to the right, and her sights landed on Yui, who seemed to have been doing some light exercises earlier, judging by the tiny amount of sweat dripping from her forehead. She had a slight smile on her face, almost unnoticeable to others.

"Yui!" Her mere presence already cleared up the headache she got from the earlier confrontation. They embraced in a hug. "Sorry for the delay… I got stuck talking with the police." She said.

"Did something happen? Your message was really vague." Yui asked, concerned for her.

"I had an encounter with a pair of villains." Yui's eyes widened.

"Are you hurt?" She asked.

"Nah, they were honestly kind of stupid, one of them burned himself trying to melt the chains I put on him." She said, though she still had on her mind what they said.

Yui's face relaxed, and she smiled. "Mm, I'm glad."

"Anyway, it seems everyone has already started with their own training. Were you waiting for me?" She asked.

"Hn, I wanted to do some battle training with you." She said.

"Ho? You think you can beat me?"

"At your full strength? No way." No matter how much they trained together, the difference between a battle-oriented and a support-oriented quirk will always make the biggest difference. "Still, I wanted to try some hand-to-hand combat. Quirkless."

'ugh…' While they did train hand-to-hand combat together, Yui has always been the better one at it, always being able to beat her handily.

"O-ok…" Kei said, her ears drooping in premature defeat.

'Cute… Maybe I'll go a little bit easier on her.'

She was mercilessly beaten to the ground.

"It hurts. A lot." Kei said while holding an ice pack to her cheek, courtesy of the school nurse. "You are mean." Yui looked only slightly guilty. "Do you have a secret martial arts quirk or something?"

"That's the fifth time you've said that. This is all practice. Maybe if you didn't use that scythe all the time, you would be better."

"But scythes are cool…" Kei responded, dejected.

Yui rolled her eyes. "Whatever you say, I'll go check on Setsuna." She said, before turning around and leaving.

Kei decided that for the next month, Yui wouldn't get to touch her tail. 'mean.'

That promise wouldn't last for long.

'I wonder how Shinso is doing; I haven't seen him… Granted, this place is massive.' Seeing how she didn't have much better to do while the pain in her cheek subsided, she decided to go search for the tired teen.

USJ was still fresh in her mind, so she needed something to keep her mind off her near-death experience. 'These will be common in the future, right?'

After walking for a while, she finally found Shinso, who is… 'Training with Midoriya? That's a surprise.' They were sparring without quirks, trading blows back and forth, though it was clear who the better fighter was, seeing how Midoriya was winning every time.

"I pity you, Shinso…" Kei said, looking at Shinso, who was rubbing his arm.

"You don't seem any better… How are you so strong, Midoriya? Not to be mean or anything, but you don't look strong." Midoriya seemed sheepish at Shinso's words.

"Well I… train a bit." He said, rubbing the back of his head.

'A bit? Dude, I can see your muscles through your shirt. Being that ripped with such an innocent face should be illegal!'

"You piss me off, Midoriya." She said with a friendly smile on her face.

"Why?!" Midoriya said, appalled.

While doing some idle talk with the two boys, a thought came to her head. '... It wouldn't matter that much if I pushed Midoriya in the right direction, right? I won't tell him everything I know for his own development, but a little push won't change the future too much… I hope…' There was also the fact that a stronger Midoriya would elevate the chances of a "good ending" further, the story is supposed to be mainly about him, so if he is stronger, everything will probably go better. 'Calling it a good ending sounds weird…'

"...Midoriya, I have a question. It's about your quirk" That got his attention, almost instantly making him nervous.

"Ah… ummm… w-what is it?" He said

'How do I explain it without it sounding weird…' "Can you use your Quirk in any part of your body?"

"Umm… Yes?"

"Well… I've noticed that when you use it, you always seem to only use one part of your body, which results in you, you know, breaking." Kei said, making Midoriya look away in embarrassment. "So I was thinking, why don't you just spread the power?"

"..." The successor stared at the fox, mouth agape.

"I mean, we can all agree that All Might is cool and all, but you don't need to be like him all the time." Midoriya kept staring at her. "... Also, the sound of your bones breaking is not pleasant."

"... Why… didn't I think of that?" He said, almost disappointed in himself.

"Beats me."

"Sorry, I have to go get my notebook. Thanks, Inari!" He said, rushing off.

"Anything to not have to hear your bones break again!" She yelled, making Midoriya stumble and almost fall.

As she watched the retreating figure of Midoriya, she thought… 'Did I say too much?' There was the possibility that maybe she did, in fact, say too much… but it was already too late to take it back. 'Well… it still shouldn't change the future that much. I'm sure he'll still break his arms quite a lot.' She thought with a sigh.

What a grim thought.

"Is it that bad? The sound of bones breaking, I mean." Shinso asked.

"Yes. Even worse when you have enhanced hearing." Shinso grimaced at the thought of that.

"Ugh… I'm so sorry."

For Kei, having better hearing was more of a weakness than a strength.

"It's ok… I'm surviving."
