Hi all! Enjoy this new story xx

Chapter 1

Kari laid in her bed. She closed her eyes and made a silent prayer please don't come. Please don't come. She heard movement. Kari breathed in and out. There's nothing there. There's nothing there. She had come into her room alone. Her brother in the room next to her and her parents across. She had crawled into bed a little over an hour ago. Her body shook and she begged herself to keep her eyes closed. More movement could be heard and Kari's heart stopped. She wasn't alone anymore.

"I have to get out! I have to end this!" A woman was speaking, desperately to herself. Kari squeezed her eyes shut and exhaled. Don't look. Don't look.

"If I go, I can end this. I have to go!" The woman muttered to herself and Kari felt her eyes open. She could see this woman pacing in the room. Kari's breath was shallow. The woman turned and Kari winced. The side of the woman's face was caved in. As if it had been hit by something, or maybe she had fallen onto something. There was blood and Kari was petrified. Kari stared too long. The woman looked at Kari. Kari gasped and wanted to close her eyes. Too late. The woman got closer and started speaking to Kari.

"If I go, will it stop?! Tell me! Will it stop?!" Kari shook her head. Tears were streaming down her face. Kari tried to back away and the woman grabbed Kari's wrist.

"Ah!" Kari let out a cry. The woman squeezed tighter and tighter.

"IF I GO WILL IT STOP?!" The woman continued asking the same question squeezing Kari's wrist. Kari was gasping for air desperate for the woman to let go, to leave her alone!

"IF I GO WILL IT STOP?!" Kari squeezed her eyes shut and shook her head.

"I don't know!" Kari cried she tried to pull her hand out of the woman's grasp. She pulled and the woman's grip got tighter. Kari pulled even more aggressively and suddenly the woman vanished. Kari felt her body fly backwards as her door opened.

"Jesus Kari who are you on the phone with at this hour?" Tai was standing in the doorway. Kari hit her back on the wall and her breathing was fast and short.

"T-Tai?" Kari tried to speak her brother's name but her panic was still at an all time high. She scanned her room looking for the woman.

"Hey, hey I'm here." Tai quickly crossed the room to his sister's bed. Kari had sweat pouring down her face. Tai quickly thrust his hand onto Kari's forehead.

"Kari you've got a fever." Tai said sternly. Kari started to feel her vision blur. Her hearing started to go and everything around her started to spin.

"Kari! Stay with me." Kari could feel her brother holding her. She could hear him speaking calmly into her ear. Rubbing her back. She was trying to calm herself. She was wondering where the woman went. She was wondering when she was coming back. Tai sat with her and slowly Kari felt her panic decrease and the exhaustion took over and Kari fell asleep.

Kari sat at the table. She stared at her untouched breakfast. It had been almost two weeks she had been plagued by this woman. This dead woman followed Kari even in her waking life. Kari had Tai with her for one of the nights. The next time the woman visited, Kari made sure not to scream. She kept it to herself. Her brother thought she had gotten sick due to stress. She never told him what had really happened. How this woman showed up one day and had been harassing Kari ever since. Kari's chest felt tight and she pushed her fork around her plate. She couldn't eat. Everything felt numb and exhausting. She wanted to sleep. But every time she tried, if the woman wasn't there in her waking life, the dark ocean was there in her dreams. She couldn't understand if the two were related or how. She felt her head pound. She had barely slept in the last 13 nights. The fatigue had messed with her appetite and now she was getting behind in school. She needed to get it together. She had a field trip coming up. She didn't want to miss it. Kari sat up straight and loaded her fork with food. She shovelled it in her mouth and chewed trying to motivate herself.

"Glad to see you have your appetite back." Tai said as he came into the kitchen. Kari nodded as she chewed. Tai walked over and checked her forehead. He felt the lukewarm feel of her skin and smiled.

"You sleep okay?" He asked removing his hand from her forehead. Kari nodded.

"Yep." She lied. She needed to keep it light. She smiled. Tai stared at her. Kari felt his eyes look at her almost studying her. He then shrugged.

"Good. Okay I gotta go. Tell mum I have practice after school." Kari nodded. She waved and her brother went to the front door. She heard the door open then close. Kari dropped her smile feeling like a weight had been dropped on her shoulders. She looked at her breakfast. She needed to eat. She looked over at the time. It was 7:45. She closed her eyes and the woman's face was in her mind. Kari opened her eyes and felt uneasy. She stood. She needed to move. Being still was worse. She stood and tossed her breakfast in the trash. She then went and grabbed her backpack and left the house.

The school was in view. Students in green uniforms were making their way to the front doors. Kari stopped walking to take in the view and steady herself. She inhaled and exhaled. She looked around and her heart stopped. The woman was standing at the front door of her school. She just stood there, students passed her without notice. Kari felt like she could cry. She couldn't do this anymore. At some point her feet moved towards her school. She felt like she was in a fog. Students laughed and called to one another. Kari walked staring at the woman who was staring at her. Her heart rate picked up and then a hand was on her shoulder. Kari gasped

"Hey sleepy head." TK was smiling down at her. Kari looked up and her heart rate eased and she exhaled. TK kept his hand on her shoulder.

"You okay Kar?" TK asked. Kari was going to answer. She opened her mouth then stopped. She looked over to the school front door. The woman was gone. Kari looked up at TK and shook her head.

"Rough sleep." She submitted and TK squeezed her shoulder.

"Come on." TK slid his hand down to Kari's. He squeezed her fingers then let go.

"You know we only have 24 hours till we are on a bus heading to the temple." TK said. Kari smiled.

"Yes the oldest temple-" Kari started and TK quickly finished

"In all of Japan!" TK beamed at Kari who rolled her eyes.

"And you want to look at all the great scholars who've studied there and read their literature." TK winked at Kari

"You got it toots. I want to know the OG authors. Read their lore." TK cracked his knuckles as he spoke. Kari smirked,

"I'm sure it will be riveting." Kari said sarcastically. TK stared ahead. Kari noticed some of the girls waving at him. She had a smile on her face thinking about how he was giving a side smirk to each one. She rolled her eyes such a flirt.

"But the real excitement is the spookyness of the temple." TK commented and Kari's face went hard

"Spookyness?" She asked. TK nodded

"Loads of ghosts. Apparently it's super haunted." The woman came to Kari's mind. She shuttered. She felt TK hit her shoulder with his own.

"Scared Kar?" TK asked. His voice playful. Kari shook her head.

"You wish." The bell rang and TK looked down at Kari. Kari felt his eyes watching her. She kept her composure. She looked up at him and smiled. TK didn't return the smile. Instead he pressed his index finger to her nose.

"Don't be cute." TK said and he started walking backwards.

"I'll see you in class." TK turned and made his way quicker towards the school. Kari was stunned where is he going? She put a finger to her nose where he had just touched. She saw girls giggling together. She rolled her eyes

"Such a flirt." Kari adjusted her bag on her back.

"Kari!" Kari smiled. She knew that voice. She ducked just as Davis came over to wrap an arm around her. His arm caught air and Kari stepped back and looked at him. He frowned and Kari giggled, he was so easy to tease. Davis shook his head

"No fair Kar." Davis said with almost a pout. Kari started walking to the front door.

"It's called playing hard to get." Kari called and she smiled at herself. This was where she felt the most at ease. Teasing her friends, feeling their positive energy. It gave Kari her strength. She figured Davis was standing still, hoping she'd turn around. She didn't.

"Come on Davis!" She called instead and then she heard Davis sigh and his quickened footsteps behind her. She felt Davis come next to her and she had a soft smile on her face. They walked into the school and Davis pulled his backpack to his front.

"I almost forgot about the questions. Thankfully I had a reminder on my hand." Kari was confused. Davis stuck out his hand and written in faded black ink were the words

Questions 5-9 DUE!

Kari blanched she had completely forgotten about her homework. She felt her anxiety start to build. Her teacher had told her if she continued to slip, she would not be welcome on the field trip. Kari stopped walking trying to think of a way out of this. She looked back to her locker and gasped. The woman was standing there. Kari shut her eyes.

"Hey Kari?" Kari had forgotten Davis was still standing next to her. She looked at Davis. He looked worried. His brow was furrowed and his hand hovered next to her arm. It was like he was daring himself to touch her. For a moment, Kari hoped he would. He pulled it back and Kari sighed. He rifled through his backpack. He pulled out a crumpled piece of paper. He walked over to the wall next to the entrance to their classroom. He flattened this paper on the wall. Kari watched him confused. Davis pulled out a pencil and erased something at the top of his page. He then wrote KARI on the paper. Kari stepped forward and put her hand on Davis' arm.

"No Davis stop! That's yours." Kari reached to grab the paper to put his name back on his work. Davis stepped back pulling the paper out of Kari's reach,

"Kari. I was in the class yesterday. Remember? I was on clean up and you were getting a scolding. I heard what Mr. Kimo said. You can't afford anymore missing homework. So here take it." He handed her the piece of paper and Kari was stunned.

"Davis-" Davis cut her off.

"Now you owe me a date." He beamed at her and Kari rolled her eyes. Davis laughed

"Okay, okay, worth a shot." Kari looked at him.

"Thank you." She said and Davis zipped up his bag and put it back into its place on his back.

"Just promise me we'll at least sit together on the bus ride." He turned and walked into the classroom. The second bell rang and Kari shook her head. She couldn't believe what Davis had just done for her. She rolled her shoulders back and took a step forward. She stole one last glance at her locker. The woman still standing there reaching for her. Kari shuddered and went into her classroom.

The bell rang and it was time for lunch. Kari exhaled looking forward to moving from her classroom. The woman stood in the corner of the classroom never moving but staring only at Kari throughout the whole morning. Kari gathered her things and stood keeping her eyes on the ground. She turned to leave and May stopped her.

"Kari want to be roommates for the trip?" Kari met May's eyes. The woman was just behind her friend. Kari started fiddling her books to keep her eyes down.

"Oh yeah, yeah! That'd be great!" Kari felt herself pushing it. She sounded too happy. She was happy to be May's roommate. But she needed to dial it back. Kari shook her head.

"That would be fun May. Thank you." Kari said a little calmer. May smiled seeming unfazed by Kari's behaviour.

"Great! Okay I'll tell Mr. Kimo." She turned on her heel and flounced to their teacher. Her skirt flared out as she spun and Kari blew out a breath. Keep your head down. Don't. Look. Up. Kari swiftly maneuvered herself through the row of desks then out into the hall. She quickly looked up and down the hall. She let out a breath. The woman was not there. Kari walked over to her locker. She unlocked the door and then placed her binder inside. She frowned. She didn't pack a lunch. She then raised her eyebrow.

"Oh, I'm hungry." She said to herself.

"Well good! I was thinking sushi." TK had slid over to her. Kari rolled her eyes he always had to be so cool.

"Sorry, the waitlist is full." Kari quipped. TK put a hand to his heart.

"Could've sworn my number was called." TK commented. Kari closed her locker.

"'Fraid not muchacho." She patted his shoulder and TK looked offended.

"Kari Kamiya I never knew you were so-" TK was cut off when Davis walked over.

"Sly? Overly kind and annoyingly considerate." Kari felt the urge to gag.

"Okay enough." Kari said and Davis and TK laughed.

"And super great at taking compliments." TK said sarcastically. Kari shook her head.

"Too much testosterone I need to get air." Kari joked. She stepped between her two friends. She then turned.

"Davis thank you again. Mr. Kimo said I'm cleared to attend the field trip." She smiled at Davis and TK looked between them.

"What? Was there a chance you weren't going?" TK asked and there was concern in his voice. Kari looked at him.

"Oh no! It's all good." Kari tried to reassure TK. TK looked to Davis who mouthed

"Later." He gave a slight nod to Davis. So slight Kari didn't notice. Davis spoke to ease the tension.

"I am starving. I think there's beef hot pot in the cafe. TK you're buying." Davis put his arms around TK and Kari's shoulder. Kari was grateful for Davis. He was always able to make a joke to lighten the mood.

The trio found seats in the cafeteria. Davis dove into his hot pot while TK pulled out his lunch. He handed a container to Kari.

"See. Sushi." Kari was stunned.

"You're giving me your lunch?" Kari asked. TK smiled and shook his head.

"I'm giving you your lunch. Mine is right here." He had another container in front of him and Kari didn't understand.

"But, TK, why do you have lunch for me?" She asked and TK shook his head pulling out his chopsticks.

"Eat more. Question less." He said simply. Kari frowned and then grabbed the chopsticks on top of the container.

"You bug me." She quipped. TK smiled to himself. A small victory, now he just needed her to eat it.

"Kari! Come here!" Mays voice rang through the cafeteria. Kari blushed as other students turned their heads to look her way. Kari stood and excused herself from TK and Davis. She made her way across the room to May's table. A small group of females were gathered giggling together. Kari joined them. She slid in effortlessly and TK frowned.

"Why wasn't she coming on the trip?" TK asked Davis in a low voice. Davis slurped his noodles.

"She's been missing homework." Davis said nonchalantly. TK folded his left hand into a fist.

"How much?" TK asked his knuckles tensing as he squeezed.

"A lot. Why'd you bring her lunch?" Now it was Davis' turn to ask questions. TK breathed out.

"She hasn't been eating." TK replied. Davis stopped slurping.

"Since when?" Davis' voice was louder almost humorous. TK shook his head.

"For almost a week." Davis opened his mouth then closed it. He stirred his lunch with his chopsticks. He looked up seeing Kari flash a wave at May and the rest of the girls.

"She's coming back. You good?" Davis asked and he gestured to TK's tight fist. TK reluctantly loosened his hand.

"Yeah. Fine." TK put a roll in his mouth. Kari came back her skirt flared and grazed TK back. He felt warm.

"So looks like Mr. Kimo has already made up the room assignments. May tried to request her and I as roommates." Davis slurped,

"Huh. Seems odd that he would care who rooms with who." TK and Kari side eyed each other. TK then spoke

"Sure coming from the guy who roomed with Lewis last time and now you two are permanently banned from sharing the same aisle let alone room together." Davis frowned.

"It was innocent." He commented. TK went wide eyed.

"You guys shattered the TV playing soccer in the room." Kari laughed.

"No, no TK. Not soccer" she put air quotes.

"Dodgeball using a soccer ball." TK nodded.

"My mistake." Davis scowled at his friends.

"No ganging up! I thought we made that a royal decree like 2 years ago. You two are banned from bantering." TK and Kari laughed at Davis. Davis picked up his bowl to slurp the remaining soup. TK popped another roll in his mouth. Both boys made eyes. They then looked at Kari's untouched food. Davis put his bowl down and him and TK opened their mouths to speak.

"TK!" A girls voice was right next to them. The trio looked to see Jade standing at their table.

"I've been waving at you and I texted you." Jade pouted her bottom lip. TK sighed.

"Now?" TK asked and even Davis could hear the slight irritation in his voice.

"Yes." She declared. TK stood and gave a look to Davis. He mouthed

"Food." At him and Davis nodded. TK walked away with Jade and Kari studied the girl a moment. She wasn't close with Jade. Jade was more popular so to speak. Though Kari didn't pay too much attention to the whose who in her school. She liked where she fit. She had her girlfriends like May and Jennifer. Then she had her best friends, Davis and TK. The three had gotten so close after they left elementary school. They got more playful, relaxed and they just trusted each other. Kari was still in touch with all of the digidestined and that was what mattered to her. It was hard to ignore Jades presence though. Her hair was the colour of honey and she always had glossy lips. She also always had her nails done which Kari never wanted for herself except when she would admire Jades. Her nails looked almost natural and probably were fun to tap on things like a desk or a book. It was a little ASMR that Kari herself couldn't help feeling relaxed hearing. She watched TK go with Jade and wondered where and what they were doing. Davis pushed on her and Kari came to the present.

"You know food is actually better off being consumed as apposed to being observed through osmosis." Kari laughed a small laugh at Davis' comment. Yes food. She needed to eat. She had felt hungry. The woman was no where to be seen and the short time she had been sitting with Davis and TK had given her a second wind of energy. She popped a roll in her mouth and smiled at Davis. Davis rolled his eyes.

"It's like you're asking for a compliment." Kari frowned. She swallowed.

"Don't. I'm just eating." She said leaned back. He stretched his back and Kari could see the outline of his body shape through his shirt. There was no denying Davis' body was in great shape. He was taller. Him and TK had grown as tall as Tai. Kari blushed and looked at her food. It was strange. She couldn't deny observing how attractive Davis and TK were. She bit her lip thinking about her two friends. She scrunched her nose feeling a little uncomfortable. Like it was a sin to be attracted to them. She went to pick up another roll when the bell rang.

"Man I feel like lunch just started." Davis said in a huff. He gathered his tray with his empty bowl.

"Be right back." Davis got up to put his dishes away. Kari looked at the box in front of her. Of the six rolls in the container she had eaten one. She stood and then swayed and found herself sitting again. She was light headed. Very light headed. She looked at TK's messenger bag that was next to her seat. Attached to it was a water bottle. She unclasped the carabiner from the bag and unscrewed the lid of the water bottle. Water flooded into her mouth and she suddenly felt dehydrated. She chugged not stoping once for air.

"Thirsty?" Davis was back and Kari continued to drink. She emptied TK's water bottle then brought it away from her lips. She started panting. She had been holding her breath while she had been drinking. Kari nodded.

"Yeah. Super thirsty." She took a moment to catch her breath. Davis stared at her looking a little confused. Kari then screwed the lid back on the bottle.

"We should go." Kari said in a low voice. It was a little strained. Davis shook his head.

"Go fill that up. I'll grab TK's stuff. I guess he's not coming back." Kari stood and went to the fountain to refill the water. Davis came round and scooped up TK's lunch. He observed one roll left in TK's box. He put the lid on the container and placed it in TK's bag. He then looked at Kari's. Davis frowned seeing how many rolls were left in hers. He placed the messenger bag on the table and grabbed Kari's lunch and placed it in the bag. He then put the straps of the bag over his shoulder and he grabbed the two pairs of chopsticks. Kari stood at the entrance of the cafeteria. She was drinking again, although this time she was taking individual sips.

"Got everything?" Kari asked as Davis walked over to her.

"Yeah let's go." Davis followed Kari to their classroom. Kari then stopped at the entrance.

"Shoot my binder. I'll be right back." Kari went to her locker. The hallway was now empty as the second bell rang. She walked over to the wall of lockers. She held TK's water bottle with her left hand as she spun the lock with her right. She undid the lock and opened her locker when a hand grabbed her wrist

"If I go to will it stop?!" The woman was standing nose to nose with Kari. Her fingers blue and ice cold, dug into Kari's wrist. Kari gasped. The grip was hurting and the nails were going to draw blood.

"P-please, please go away." Kari begged. She kept her voice low. For whatever reason people couldn't seem to hear or see the woman. But they could see and hear Kari. Even in pain and terror, she knew to others she looked like a lunatic. Her heart rate was racing. The woman raised her voice

"WILL IT STOP?!" Kari closed her eyes she needed this woman to leave.

"Please go!" Kari said still in a whisper. She felt tears sting her eyes. She opened and saw her classroom door. She then yanked her hand out of the woman's grip. She gasped feeling the woman's nails scratching her. She somehow managed to grab her binder. She then ran to her classroom. The woman screamed an ear piercing shriek. Kari left her locker opened and darted into the classroom.

Davis looked up seeing Kari almost barrel into the classroom. She had been running, no sprinting. Davis looked at her confused. He then noticed the whole class looked at her confused. Kari's cheeks were red. She bowed and mumbled an apology. Davis watched her pass him and make her way to her seat. He turned to look at TK. TK was watching Kari intently. Davis saw TK clench a fist.

"Mr. Motymia. Eyes forward." Davis blanched. TK looked up and the two friends locked eyes for a moment. Then Davis spun himself to face forward. He then saluted his teacher. His teacher didn't seem to appreciate Davis' gesture. Mr. Kimo then addressed the class.

"So for tomorrow you are to arrive at the front of the school for 7:00. Please wear your uniforms. For all class outings you will be required to be in full dress. In the evenings during down time you may wear casual clothes. I will be pairing you off once we get to the hotel. The bus ride is 4 hours so please be sure to bring things to entertain yourselves."

Mr. Kimo continued talking. Davis felt a tap on his shoulder. He sat up straighter watching Mr. Kimo scan the class. When Mr. Kimo's eyes passed Davis' and moved to the right. Davis turned and TK had a piece of paper he was handing him. Davis quickly grabbed it then turned forward. Mr. Kimo walked towards the right side of the classroom. His head was down. Davis opened the note in his lap

Her arm is bleeding.

Davis looked up. Mr. Kimo was walking back towards his side. His eyes scanning. Davis crumpled the note and sat closer to his desk. Trying to hide what he had just been doing.

"The paper you will write will be due the day after we return. So I suggest you write all your notes during the two days then the night we get back write it out." Mr. Kimo turned to the board. Davis quickly looked back. Kari had her arm on her desk. Davis didn't have time to look at her face but did see the blood on her arm. He faced forward. He then wrote on the paper TK had given him.

How did that happen?!

He crumpled the paper then waited. Mr. Kimo was looking at the class. He then faced the white board. Davis then thrust the paper over his shoulder. TK must have been watching because the paper was gone as soon as Davis put it over his shoulder. Davis pondered Kari's injury. He was worried yes but also, TK had a tendency to let his emotions run rampant. Davis felt kind of ironic thinking about TK that way, especially when he himself had gotten them in a few scraps for that exact reason. But when it came to Kari he felt like TK and Tai almost babied her. She was tough, Davis knew this. It was something that drew him to her. he sighed.

Maybe she just clipped it on something?

Davis thought and then felt a tap on his shoulder. Davis didn't even turn around. He reached his arm back and took the paper from TK. He no longer cared about being caught. Mr. Kimo was now talking about his first time to the temple. A story Davis had already heard and to no one's surprise, was not at all interesting. Davis unfolded the paper. He noticed how TK had taken the time to fold it so it made a square. While every time Davis had his hands on the paper. He crumpled it. Davis read the note on his lap.

She's hiding something. I'm going to go check out the hall. Keep an eye on her.

Davis felt TKs words were a command. He rolled his eyes. As if Davis would let anything bad happen to Kari. She was struggling sure, but she wasn't destitute. Davis growled under his breath. The competition between the two friends was fierce although neither would admit so boldly what state their relationship was.

"Mr. Kimo." TK spoke. Mr. Kimo nodded in TK's direction.

"May I be excused? To use the toilet?" Mr. Kimo seemed slightly nerved but nodded none the less. TK stood and Davis watched the blond make his way out of the classroom. Their teacher resumed speaking and Davis stole a glance at Kari. He looked at her face this time. He'd known this girl for years and yet she still surprised him. She was gorgeous. Her hair looked soft and her skin- Davis stopped. He needed to keep it together. He looked forward and focused on his desk. After the digital world adventures, he dialed back his pursuit of Kari. She never made him 100% sure that she wasn't interested, but he felt the heat from Yolie to back off, slightly.

"Give her time Davis. Kari deserves patience. Whomever she chooses to date will be her choice and hers alone. Be patient, who knows. she may choose you." Davis felt heat in his cheeks thinking about that conversation he had had with Yolie almost two years ago. He decided to listen. Yolie was one of Kari's closest girl friends. She had to know something. Right?

Mr. Kimo instructed them to pull out their notebooks. Math was on the white board now and Davis pulled a face. He really needed to pay attention. TK walked in. The two teens locked eyes. TK shook his head and then sat down behind Davis. Davis frowned

Guess he didn't find anything.

He started copying questions into his notebook. TK came to his mind. Davis was so sure that Kari and TK were into each other. Maybe they were. Though Davis hoped not. Kari seemed so taken by TK entranced by him. Though, Davis had noticed Kari pulling away from TK and TK doing the same. Kari spent less time walking home with TK and started walking home more with Davis. Those were his favourite memories. Just him and Kari joking around. He would make her laugh so hard she would snort sometimes. She would always blush and turn away. To Davis, it was adorable. Davis would watch TK in school. He was a massive flirt. He liked to charm the other girls. Davis would be jealous except he couldn't deny some of those same girls had asked him for coffee dates. His mouth twisted as he remembered his first kiss with one. Rebecca. They had gone for coffee one day after his soccer game. She had come and watched and Davis felt special. The two went for coffee. It was nice and then, Rebecca kissed him. He was so shocked but he liked it. She had left after and Davis never got the chance to discuss the kiss with her. They never went on another date. It was weird. But it wasn't weird between them at school. They waved and chatted and were friendly. The only two people Davis told were TK and Ken.

The three had been hanging out on a Friday night. They were playing video games when Davis just blurted it out.

"Rebecca kissed me last weekend." The two other boys continued playing. The clicking of the controllers could be heard and it sounded louder the longer the others went without talking.

"I think I'm dating Jade." TK spoke suddenly and in a low voice. Davis went wide eyed and put his controller down.

"Wait what?! Explain?" TK continued fiddling with his controller. Ken seemed unfazed by either of them.

"You first Davis." TK said. Davis sighed. He explained the whole coffee date and then the kiss. Though he just said

"Then she kissed me." Ken whistled.

"So are you dating?" Davis shook his head and picked up his controller.

"No." Ken shifted.

"Does she know that?" He asked. Davis frowned.

"Yeah." But then he thought

Does she?

Ken looked at TK.

"I uhh, kind of thought you had a thing for someone else?" Ken asked and TK shrugged.

"It's complicated. I don't know. Jade and I kissed and now we keep walking home together." TK ran a hand through his hair.

"I dunno. She's cool." TK said. Davis and Ken shared a look. Neither could tell how TK really felt. They continued playing and never brought it up again. Davis had thought about asking more questions but also figured. If TK wanted to tell him he would. The subject was never spoken about again. The boys continued life, TK and Davis got closer while Ken continued to be their friend he just had a more intense school schedule. Davis then thought about Jade. Her presence how much time she spent with TK….

Wait are they dating?!

Davis felt his eyes big out.

"Yes Mr. Motimya the questions are considerably more complicated but unlike your homework, I'm sure you can get it done." Davis blanched and then became annoyed. He mumbled a swear under his breath but directed the comment at his teacher. Mr. Kimo glared. David quickly thought better of the situation. He saluted Mr. Kimo and looked down at his notebook. He then started scribbling the rest of the questions as he now was noticing, the rest of the class was working on solving them. Davis zoned into his work but not without glancing over at Jade. She was in the front row to his left. He eyed her suspiciously.

Are they?
