Chapter One: The Howling.
(Konoha)
A scared 6 year old Naruto Uzumaki was running in the night. What was he running from?
An angry mob who wishes to end his existence villager and Shinobi alike wants to hurt the boy or kill him.
"Get the demon!" Shouted a Villager with a pitch fork. As an angry mob would chase after Naruto once again, its only been three days since he been kicked out of the orphanage living on the streets.
Naruto ran for his life. Dodging the kunai and shuriken along with various other sharp items.
The boy made another turn and ran. As he was running he gasped when he realized he ran into a dead end in the alleyway. He was trapped... and cornered by the Angry Mob.
"We got you now demon boy! No where left to run or hide!" Says the lead of the mob who held a torch while the other villagers and shinobi had malicious grins. They can finally avenge their yondaime.
Naruto looked terrified as he backed into a wall.
"Please... please don't hurt me.." Naruto pleaded as the villagers and shinobi came closer ready to hurt the boy.
"Let's get him!" Yelled a Jonin as he and the others would proceed to hurt Naruto. Ganging up on him, beating him with blunt objects. Kicking him and stomping him as Naruto's screams of pain filled the cold night sky.
He was then stabbed and cut by sharp weapons.
Naruto laid there as the mob surrounded him laughing at his pain and would circle around him.
"Let's burn the son of a bitch!" Yells a Chunin while others murmured on what should be done to Naruto now.
Naruto looked up weakly.. too wounded and in pain.. as he coughed up some blood.
"It... hurts... it hurts... please... someone help me..." Naruto pleaded as he stared up at the sky seeing the clouds part away revealing a full moon.
Naruto subconsciously stared at the moon as if he was under a trance. His pupils turned to narrowed slits, and his eyes going red for a split second, his heart thumping loudly. His mouth becoming canines. His body is changing, a painful rippling throughout his body as Naruto let out a blood curdling scream with a mixture of a roar!
This terrified the villagers and Shinobi alike when they saw a 7 foot tall hulking, Muscular beast of a Fox with 9 tails!
The Nine tailed fox like being stood and roared so loud that it sent chills down everyone's spine. As it gazed at the villagers.
"Ru-Run! Everyone RUN! Its the DEMON!" Shouted a scared Chunin as everyone immediately began to run in fear.
The 7 foot nine tailed monster growled loudly and lunged forward at the Mob, to slaughter them like animals.
As they would be torn to shreds.
It slammed its fist against a building shattering it with supernatural chakra strength.
The beast slashed its claws bisecting any fleeing villager and shinobi. Its nine tails immediately became sharp appendages and would extend and impale the many villagers skewering them.
The carnage was so horrific as they continued to be killed by the 7 foot tall monster fox, as they ran, they were being hunted down.
"RRRAAAAAAGHHHHH!!!" The Fox Beast roared bubbling in its chakra as it ripped off a Jonin's head and tosses his headless body.
This beast that is Naruto. Spared no one in his wake.
"ARRRROOOOWWWW!!!" The beast Howled into the night holding a male villager's arm. The beast then proceeded to run after its brutal massacre.
(Root HQ)
Around that same time, in Root Base which is underneath konoha, this base and facility is founded by Danzo, who is the leader of Root and is it's Commander.
Root was originally supposed to be disbanded under the third Hokage's orders but Danzo, had ignored such order and decided to keep Root active under the third Hokage's nose. His other teammates Homura and Koharu would protect him and help cover his tracks, and would cover up his illegal crimes. Since they support his ideas.
Inside the facility in a room, laid a red haired woman who seems to be in a coma. And who is she?
Its Kushina Uzumaki.
On the night of the Fox attack, Danzo nabbed the woman who had likely been impaled by the Fox's claw. Her injury had healed abnormally. Her injuries costed her to go into a deep coma. And for the past 6 years she's never awakened... Danzo kept her here against her will unknowingly. Since he has nefarious plans for her should she ever wake up.
Kushina's eyes snapped opened when she heard that howl, as she too would feel her own heart thumping loudly, her pupils became narrowed slits, eyes going blood red, her teeth became canines, as she growled inhumanly. Her body convulsed as she growled beast like, she got bigger and muscular too as she broke free from her chakra restraints and cuffs Danzo put on her!. She roared turning into a 8 foot red Fox beast with nine flowing red tails. Sharp claws.
She growled monster like.
suddenly 5 Root Agents barges in her room and were caught off guard by her transformation.
"Attack!" Says a Root agent as the five would pull out there weapons and attack Kushina but her 5 tails would extend and impale the five killing them.
Two other Root agents came in but one was immediately pounced on Kushina who bit into his neck.
The other Root Nin immediately ran to hit the alarms. But as he did, he had his spine ripped out by Kushina.
The entire Root base would be blaring with alarms.
Kushina growled as she ran on all fours like a blood thirsty monster!.
(With Danzo)
"What's going on?" He demanded. How is his root base being attacked? Could Hiruzen have found him out? That can't be possible?!
"Danzo-sama! Kushina Uzumaki is loose! She's no longer in her room and has killed some of our agents!" Reported a Root captain. As the whole base heard the loudest blood curdling roar
Danzo widened his eye in shock.
"Orders sir?" The root nin asked.
"She's not going anywhere. Lock down the whole base! Subdue her!" He commanded as the Root captain would rely the orders. He cant allow kushina to escape.
What was that? Just what the hell has he brought in his base..
"All units subdue the prisoner! Don't let her get away!" The captain yelled on his ear piece.
"Stand down Monster!" Says another Captain as he and his squad encountered Kushina who likely bit down on another Root Anbu's neck. As she gave them a snarl and viciously attacked them with her extended sharp claws bisecting them.
She growled loudly as she brought out her golden chakra chains from her back as she attacked more incoming Root Anbu.
"What's the status?!" Danzo questioned
"Root Anbu squads: Beta, Charlie, Tango and Eta has been deployed! Sigma and Theta Squad has been killed." Says the captain.
Danzo felt slight fear.. hearing those echoing roars in his base along with the screams of his men.
Down the hall the 8 foot fox beast growled as she dropped a dead root nin she had ripped in half. As she looked around. She would look at the power box and stabbed her claws into.
The power to the root base would immediately turn off only turning on the emergency lights.
Beta, Charlie, Tango and Eta Squads entered the hallway seeing the carnage of dead root shinobi.
"Hold position!" Says the Beta captain to his and the other Squads.
"She's close.. she was just recently here..." Beta leader says. As everything got quiet.
But they heard the sounds of low growling. There was tense silence as the Root Anbu all turned wall right next to them. Suddenly the Fox beast revealed itself losing its camouflage.
"IT CAN CAMOUFLAGE!" The Beta captain yelled as he and his Squad immediately attacked but Kushina lunged at them.
One by one every Root nin was bit on the neck by Kushina. Clawed by her, impaled by her tails. Sliced into ribbons by her chakra chains.
"Status?" Danzo asked.
"Beta, Charlie, Tango and Eta Squads? Do you read?" The captain asked on the ear piece only to receive no answer but their blood curdling screams.
"We've lost.. them sir.." the captain says turning to Danzo. Who was sweating but refused to show his fear.
"Orders?" The captain asked.
"Are squads Alpha and Omega still alive?" Danzo asked.
"Yes sir." He replied
"Send Alpha team and Omega team to me. I'm heading for the secret escape route. Send the others to keep her busy... "He told the captain as he would immediately leave the room going to make his escape...
Whatever kushina is.. terrifed him... and he unknowingly brought the monster into his base and its killing everything down here.
Kushina was running on all fours with bloodlust in her beast form.
"This is echo team! We got her in our sights! Archers fire!" The Echo captain yelled as he and his men fired their bows and arrows at Kushina
Kushina opened her mouth and breathed hot searing flames like a flamethrower! Right towards Echo team burning them to ashes as the flames carried a thunderous roar.
As she burned them, she caught a whiff of Danzo's scent. She decided go right for it.
More and More Root anbu has stormed the base to stop and hunt down kushina.
They checked on the fallen root Anbu who had bite marks on their necks.
Suddenly the fallen Root anbu's bodies suddenly convulsed and shook violently as they would undergo their beastly transformations! Turning into 6 foot Fox beasts with one tails. As they would immediately turn on their fellow Root nin. Attacking them and biting their necks infecting them too. Some were even eating them.
(With Danzo)
Danzo was heading for the secret exit. Behind him were Alpha and Omega squads. He even has Fu and Torune protecting him.
How did things go to hell? He didn't understand what was happening?
Is kushina some sort of monster?!
He will have to relocate into another base.
As he was going for the exit, he heard growling he and his escorts turned and saw Kushina who was covered in blood, chakra chains floating around. Her red eyes stares solely at Danzo. As if she was looking into his soul.
She saw brief memories of Danzo taking her away. As her snarls grew louder.
"What the hell are you?!" Danzo demanded staring at her 8 foot monstrous form she looked like the nine tails except humanoid!. He was terrified... he knew who this was... and he was scared shitless.
Kushina growled glaring at Danzo.
"Danzo-sama. Go, we will take care of this. Alpha Team! Attack!" Yells Alpha who is a female Root member as she and her squad attacked Kushina.
Alpha would lunge first only for Kushina to backhand her away the rest of the squad attempted to corner her but were ended quickly when her tails and chakra chains took care of them.
Omega Team would step in but soon they heard more growling.
Down the hall more Fox beasts made themselves known and would attack Omega team who didn't stand a chance.
Danzo made a beeline for the exit but golden chains had impaled both his shoulders and yanked him towards kushina.
"Danzo-sama!" Yelled both Fu and Torune who tried to save their commander but were immediately pounced on by two other fox beasts who torn them to shreds.
Kushina held Danzo as he would be ripped limb from limb his screams filled the hallway. Infact she even ripped out his internal organs and then dropped his limbless body on the ground and breathed hot flames to incinerate the old warhawk who's screams were silenced as the flames consumed him.
As kushina did that, she felt two sharp objects hit her back making her roar as she turned towards the Alpha captain who was still alive.
"No!" She yelled in horror seeing Kushina immediately lunged at her and then bit her hard on the neck, turning her.
The female root captain of alpha team fell on the ground clutching her bite mark as she too would begin to change.
Kushina turned to the other beasts who resembled foxes all faced her and bowed to her in submission. As if she was their Alpha.
She growled lowly as she howled.
"ARRRROOOOWWWW!!!" Kushina howled as they too would howl with her. As did the recent turned Alpha who is a white Fox.
Kushina would tear down the secret exit door which led to the forest of death.
She growled as she ran free. Along with the other WereFoxes who followed suit with their alpha.
(With the Hokage)
"Oh my kami... what did this...?" Hiruzen asked in shock seeing the carnage of dead civilians and shinobi littered.
"Something... killed these people... what could have done this...?" Asked a Anbu in a bear mask
"Look... claw marks... and this destroyed building... what kind of creature with such strength did this?" Asked another in a hawk mask as they investigated the bloodly scene along with seeing claw marks.
Hiruzen sighed deeply and closed his eyes... hoping this wasnt what he think this was.
He hoped to Kami those idiot villagers and shinobi assaulted Naruto and the boy snapped... the Fox may have made Naruto do this...
"Damn it.. i hope to kami... those idiots didn't damage Naruto enough to break his seal and cause the Kyuubi to influence Naruto enough to kill..." The Hokage says mentally looking at the carnage with a sigh, he wasn't sure how to cover this up now.
It seems as though the Anbu who were supposed to watch over Naruto tonight were negligent and didn't bother to protect him from the mob and made sure they didn't kill the boy.
It would have been Yugao's night to watch over Naruto but she's currently out on a mission. And wont be back for a couple of days.
"You think it was "It" that did this?" Asked another Anbu with s Turtle mask.
"Enough.!" The Hokage called out making the Anbu face him in attention.
"Find Naruto Uzumaki. Search EVERYWHERE for him and bring him back unharmed." The Hokage commanded making them wince
"Bu-But sir... what should we do if he is hostile towards us?" Asked Hawk making the Hokage sigh.
"Do not engage him if he's in a hostile state. Once you all get a find on him, i will send help immediately. Now Go!" He barked out making them nod.
"At once Hokage-sama." Hawk says as he and his squad would go search for Naruto.
"If what i think has happened... I just may need Tenzo... he maybe our option to restrain Naruto. Get me Tenzo and have him report to my office." Hiruzen commanded to the other Anbu with him as they nodded.
(With Naruto)
Who is now in the forest of death in his beast form. Running and growling. In his path were the recent beasts and monsters he killed, the monster growled he gave off a beastly aura that told other monsters and predators in this forest to stay away from him.
He growled with aggression as he would soon stop..
"Grrr..." Naruto growled... as he would lean against a tree. And laid there. His bloodlust lowered.
(With Kushina)
Now still in the forest. With her own pack of WereFoxes, a count of 66. Behind her. She growled as a White werefox besides her (Alpha) stood 7 foot tall.
Kushina's fox years perked up and her nose caught a whiff of something.. she smells another WereFox...
Except... this scent resembles her... along with her Late mate Minato...
could this be her son? Her cub? Her strong motherly instincts urged her immediately to go check this out.
Her red eyes widened she growled to the White Werefox to tell her to stay put along with the rest. This is something she must go alone to see.
Kushina ran off into the darkness of the forest to see if her suspicions were true.
(Back with Naruto)
Growling lowly as he looked around for any suspecting predators, He kept looking around.
His fox ears twitched when he heard the sound of bushes rustling. Instantly on guard he stood up with his claws, fangs and tails ready.
Coming out of the bushes, was a taller Werefox, colored in red fur, standing 8 foot tall and has 9 tails just like him.
The boy turned Werefox looked at her curiosly. This one smells like a female.
The female WereFox's expression turned gentle and soft.
Within the seals, the Kyuubi lifted up its head in slight surprise. It sensed Kushina
"So kushina is alive? This makes things all the more interesting! Especially if the kit is a Werefox just like her!" The kyuubi would say as he laughed evilly within his prison.
