After Yhwach dies, he finds himself in a black void with a voice speaking to him. He then learns that he will be reborn as someone else to restart and make up for all the evil he has done. He then finds himself merging with a soul that is so pure, that it changes his personality, goals, and feelings. He wakes up to find himself in the body of Bell Cranel from Danmachi.

18. Chapter 18 - War Game Preparations

"Do you know how much longer she is going to take?" - Lily questioned Bell, as he shrugged his shoulders.

"I honestly have no idea Lily. By the way, have the both of you put on your Gravity bracelets yet?" - Bell questioned.

"Yes" - Welf and Lily responded at the same time.

"Good, but now since the both of you have gotten you Abnormal Resistance developmental abilities to rank G, you will both be trying to more concentrated version of the poison potion, as instead of it's effects lasting the regular 3 hours, they will last only 1 hour but they will be 3 times more powerful." - Bell said as he handed them the 2 potions.

It didn't take long for the 2 to consume them. But right when they finished drinking them, Ais had arrived, as she was met with the sight of Welf and Lily stumbling on their feet, seeming as if they were in a lot of pain after swallowing a liquid inside of 2 vials, as they soon recomposed themselves.

"What did they drink Bell?" - Ais questioned.

"That's what I call a Poison Potion, it poisons whoever drinks it for 3 hours. But they drank a more concentrated variation which lasts only 1 hour but is 3x more effective." - Bell said as Ais gave him a dumb look.

"Why would they do that?" - She questioned with disgust and a hint of curiosity.

"It's to help make them stronger."

"Can I have one then?" - Was Ais's quick response.

"That depends, do you have the Abnormal Resistance Developmental ability and if so, what rank is it?" - Bell asked.

"Yes I do, and it is at rank F."

"Very well then, do be warned though that it will surprise you." - Bell said, handing Ais the same Poison Potion he had given Welf and Lily.

After Ais drank it with a moment of hesitation, she noticed that her skin started to throb with small amounts of pain as she could feel bile rising in her stomach, which she was able to hold back with her will power. A small headache coming over her as well which although it wasn't super painful, she would do much better without it.

"You handled that quite well for someone who has never taken 1 before." - Bell praised, causing Ais to let out a strained smile before composing herself and activating her Gravity bracelet, causing her body to visibly shake until she was able to get used to the increase in gravity, Bell following soon after by activating his own.

"Let's get going, our goal is to reach the 17th floor and kill the Goliath which just respawned. The reason we won't be going any further is because I suspect something will happen in the future so we can't overdo it." - Bell said, as everyone nodded in understanding before the group started to make their way into the dungeon.

To say that the upper floors were a cake walk would be putting it lightly, as no matter what the monster would be including the rare irregular monster, they were no match for the group of Quincies.

After they got to the middle floors however, that was when they started to slow down. As not only were the monsters a lot stronger, but they were also in larger quantities. But no matter if it was an orc, Hellhound, or even a minotaur, they were no match for the Quincies after an almost nonexistent struggle since it barely lasted more than 2 seconds.. As even with the 5x gravity affecting Welf and Lily whilst they are affecting them, as Well as Bell and Ais being affected by the 10x gravity as well as Ais being under the effects from the poison potion. Bell however wasn't under the potions effects as it wouldn't do anything to him due to his abnormal resistance being at rank E.

When they reached the 17th floor however, they noticed that the Goliath was trapped inside of the crystal wall, just waiting for an adventurer to cause it to break free.

"The main reasons we have gone this far into the dungeon was to test out the new Armor Welf had made for me, since I have yet to use it." - Bell said as he looked at the said smith, as the red head gave him a nod of appreciation.

"But along with that, it was also to test out the new skills Ais has learned during our trip, so Ais will be taking on this boss alone. Don't let your guard down either Ais, as even though you have defeated the Udeaus alone, you are currently under the effects of a poison potion as well as having 10 times the normal gravity affecting you." - Bell said, as Ais gave a nod, grabbing the hilt of her sword, as she slowly walked up to the crystal wall which held the Goliath as it began to crack.

"Take a close look at Welf, Lily. You are going to be watching your new queen in active combat and what she is truly capable of. For reference, she is already at the level of a mid tier captain activating their Shikai based off of her spiritual pressure and abilities without the use of her Schrift." - Bell said, causing Welf and Lily's eyes to widen in surprise before they focused in on Ais.

"How strong is she with her Schrift?" - Welf questioned as the crystal wall holding the Goliath formed even more cracks, as it was mere moments away from breaking.

"Strong enough that the Captain Commander Shigekuni Yamamoto would be forced to go into Bankai in order to win. The only thing holding her back is that she has yet to fully master her Schrift" - Bell said, causing Lily and Welf's eyes to widen to comical proportions. But before Welf or Lily could respond to his statement, the crystal wall finally gave out, causing the Goliath to let out a roar as the flying debris from the wall almost hit Ais if it wasn't for her agility, allowing her to seemingly dodge out of the way.

She then used her speed, although hindered, to rush at the goliaths heels, slashing its Achilles heels causing it to stumble over with a roar, causing large shockwaves to hone in directly at Ais, which because of her close proximity, had no way to dodge.

'Please work.' - Mini Ais said nervously, as Ais simply slashed at the shockwave whilst using her Schrift, causing it to be sliced in half, missing her.

"WHAT THE HELL!" - Welf and Lily yelled in unison with shock. As Ais had done something which should have been physically and metaphorically impossible, she cut a soundwave.

"That's her Schrift, The Acute. It allows her to cut anything she wants." - Bell said with a smirk, causing Welf and Lily to shake their heads in astonishment.

'With this, I can finally kill the Black Dragon, but I did still feel some resistance when I cut through it, meaning that although it can cut anything, I need to increase my sword skills even more. Although if I am not physically strong or fast enough when I finally fight the Black Dragon, it will simply burn me to ashes or crush me before I am even able to land a fatal blow.' - Ais thought to herself, as she tightened her grip on her desperate, lunging at the Goliath trying to pierce its chest.

But because she had forgotten how much slower she had gotten because of the Gravity bracelet, she was too slow and wasn't able to reach the goliath in time as she was swatted away like a fly and sent flying towards the ground creating a small but noticeable crater. But because of her Blut, she didn't receive any injuries whatsoever.

"She is really good at using Blut, what exactly did you teach her?" - Lily questioned Bell.

"All I did was teach her the basics, all the tinkering and advancements in her abilities have been done on her own. I have simply given her a few pointers on how to better control the Reishi in the air as well as her own Reiatsu and Reiyoku. Along with the basic abilities and what they do of course. As I have not taught her anything that I haven't taught the 2 of you except for one thing." - Bell finished, causing Welf and Lily to give him a questioning look, but before they could question him, he continued.

"If you wish to see what exactly I had taught her, then you will just have to watch. Depending on how hard she needs to try, the both of you may or may not be able to witness it today." - Was all Bell said, ending the conversation as the 3 brought their attention back onto Ais, who was once again ready to attack the Goliath.

"Spirit Ariel." - Ais said calmly, as a gust of dark green wind seemed to envelop her form, greatly increasing her speed as well as creating a protective barrier around her. As by now, the goliath was able to shakily stand back up with a limping leg. But before Ais could re-engage the floor boss, Bell spoke up.

"Stop." - Bell said, causing Ais to look at him whilst still facing the Goliath.

"This whole fight is to show that you are qualified to become the Queen of the Quincies to both Welf and Lily. It is for that reason that I ban the use of your Spirit Ariel." - Bell said, causing Ais to huf childishly whilst pouting at Bell, dispersing her wind. As the Goliath started running towards her.

But before the goliath reached her, the sword in her hands suddenly lit up with blue fiery Reishi, very reminiscent of when Bell coats his own sword with Reishi.

"No way!"

'Thats-" - Welf and Lily said, but were then interrupted by Bell.

"Yes, that is my technique. I believed she was more than worthy to be taught it." - Bell said, causing Welf and Lily to give him an understanding look, as they realized what ability Bell had taught Ais that he hadn't taught them.

But after Ais's sword became greatly enhanced with Reishi, she used Hirenkyaku to soar at the Goliath, landing a horizontal slash on its abdomen with her now blue flaming Desperate, causing the Goliaths intestines to poke out of the wound, causing the Goliath to let out a roar of agony and rage. In its rage, the Goliath used its free hand to try and grab onto Ais, but it was mangled by a multitude of Heilig Pfeil that Ais had created in the air.

Ais, not letting the Goliath move, used her sword to cut off its mangled hand, causing the Goliath to roar in anger which Ais used as a chance to blow off its lower jaw with another hail of Heilig Pfeils. In a last ditch effort, the goliath tried to punch Ais with its last remaining hand. But before it landed, Ais had used her Schrift to slice through its hand, and used Hirenkyaku to glide up its arm all the way up to its neck. When she reached its neck however, she shoved her Rapier into the goliath's chin, and with a grunt of effort, focused Reishi into the tip of her sword which shot of a Heilig Pfeil, going straight through the roof of its mouth brain, and skull, causing the Goliath to disappear into a cloud of smoke as Ais dispersed the Reishi surrounding her sword as she began to free fall, only to be caught by Bell who seemingly teleported next to her.

"Very well done, Ais, you truly have became a master at using the various

Quincy abilities at your disposal." - Bell said, causing Ais to blush at his praise as he gently set her onto the ground.

"Now then, why don't we go cash in our drops at the Guild." - Bell said as he and the others began to make their way towards the surface.

After they got their magic stones and drop items traded in, Bell made sure that everyone got their fair share as well as Ais getting the money she earned from killing the Goliath. As they split up, Ais goes back to the Twilight manor as Welf, Lily, and Bell went back to the Wandenreich.

"400,000 Valis for a 2 hour dungeon trip, not bad." - Lily said as she had just finished counting all of the coins they had accumulated.

"Yeah, but we still need to split it up and put half of it into the Familia savings." - Welf said as he was currently sitting on a couch, opposite to the one Lily was in.

"Either way, we still need to prepare for the upcoming confrontation I have predicted to happen with the Apollo Familia." - Bell said, as he was currently sitting on a throne-like chair with Hestia Sitting on one much like his own reading a book, silently monitoring the conversation of her familia members.

"With all due respect, we already have all the supplies and gear we could need for a possible confrontation, what more could we do for preparations?" - Lily questioned with a despondent tone.

"Just making sure that we have everything we could possibly need for an overwhelming victory is all." - Bell said with a smirk, his eyes briefly splitting into 3 pupils before going back to normal, which everyone in the room noticed.

"And it seems that everything is going according to what I foresaw." - Bell said with a smirk, Welf and Lily smirking soon after, as Hestia just shook her head in exasperation.

Meanwhile with the Apollo Familia

"Is everything ready for the party along with the invitations for all of the guests?" - Apollo questioned Hyakinthos.

"Yes my lord, the only thing left to do is schedule when to hold it and send out the invitations." - Hyakinthos said, causing Apollo to nod in approval.

"Good, is everything going to plan with the Hestia Familia?"

"Yes Lord Apollo." - Hyakinthos said as he was then shown away by Apollo.

'I hate that Bell Cranel, why does he get all the attention and interest of Lord Apollo whilst I, his captain, doesn't get as much attention.' - Hyakinthos thought to himself with a sneer whilst his back was turned to Apollo's room.

Timeskip: 2 days

"An invite to the Apollo Familia's party?" - Hestia questioned out loud as she read the letter, Welf, Lili, and Bell hearing her from across the room.

"It's not like we can say no, I mean after all, multiple familia's will be invited, including the big shots such as Loki and Freya Familia." - Lily said.

"Will it say here 'the god or goddess of the familia is only permitted to bring 1 child with them', so I can only choose one person." - Hestia said, causing Welf and Lily to look at each other before hiding behind a couch, causing Bell and Hestia to sweat.

"I guess I know who I am gonna pick then huh?" - Hestia said with an amused laugh as Bell rubbed his forehead.

"I guess so, but I need to go buy a new pair of clothes, more specifically, a quincy uniform that is a suit." - Bell said, as he seemingly disappeared from the throne-like chair he was sitting in, causing Hestia to huff whilst Lily and Welf were snickering behind the couch. But only a few moments later, Bell could be seen appearing at an entrance to a clothing store that provided custom clothes, but as he entered the store, he noticed a familiar blonde haired swordswoman with her goddess.

"Hey Ais, Lady Loki." - Bell said as he walked over to the duo and gave a respectful nod to Loki, as he gave Ais a hug which she reciprocated, causing Loki to fume.

"I am assuming that you both have also been invited to the party that Lord Apollo is holding?" - Bell said, forcing himself to use a respectful call sign for the god which if Loki noticed, she didn't seem to question it.

"Yes, my little Aisy needs to get a new dress since the last time she wore one was over 4 years ago, which by now, wont exactly fit her." - Loki said, Ais tilting her head as Bell gave an understanding nod, as the manager of the store began to make his way over to the 3.

"Is there anything I can help you with?" - The clerk answered to which Loki and Ais shook their heads, whilst Bell gave a nod getting the man's attention.

"I was hoping to have a custom made suit made for me, if that's alright?" - Bell asked in a non-threatening way, causing the man to smile.

"Yes sir, please follow me." - The man said, leading Bell to another area.

"See you 2 later at the party!" - Bell called out to the 2 as he blew a kiss to Ais, causing her to blush as Loki's eye twitched.

After arriving at a more private location, the man began to speak.

"So sir, what did you have in mind?"

"I was hoping to get a custom made suit with this type of design and coloring." - Bell said, pointing a finger at the Quincy gear he was wearing, causing the man to nod.

"Very well then, but before I start, I must take your measurements.' - The man said, causing Bell to sigh.

After an awkward couple of minutes of the store manager measuring Bell, he led Bell back to the waiting room to wait for his clothes, as he began to meditate.

But after roughly an hour later, the man that had been helping Bell returned, showing him the same outfit he wore in cannon, except with a few changes. As the buttons on his suit were in the design of a Quincy Zeichen being red in color, as the base color for his outfit was white. But after purchasing his new attire which did cost him a pretty penny, he made his way back to the Wandenreich to both get changed.

Time Skip: 2 Hours

"Hestia, are you ready to go?" - Bell said as he now wore his new suit which made him look even more distinguished then he was before, as his long hair was flowing down his nape to the upper part of his back.

"Yes!" - Hestia said, as she appeared around the corner whilst wearing a white dress with a red floral pattern, wearing light blue opera gloves.

"Then let's go, we don't want to be late do we?" - Bell said to which Hestia nodded as they left the Wandenreich, making their way towards the place where the party hosted by the Apollo Familia was being held.

After a couple minutes of walking, the pair eventually arrived at a decorated castle-like mansion with massive double doors that led to a massive ball room where a multitude of different people could be seen including gods and goddesses. However, Bell and Hestia's attention was drawn by a massive thud being heard across the ball room, as Hermes could be seen being imbedded in the wall, courtesy of what seemed to be a rather forceful shove from Asfi who was currently standing next to Takemichasuchi who was with Mikoto and Miach who was with Naaza.

"Well, it seems that I missed something that would have been quite amusing." - Bell said, walking up to them as this caused Miach and Naaza to perk up, Mikoto gaining a reminiscing look, as Take gave a small smile.

"Hello, it's good to see that the both of you are doing ok." - Take said, causing Hestia to nod who had caught up with Bell.

"It's good to see you too. Take, how about you Asfi? You seem to be a little frustrated."

"That's because I am the one who can be blamed on Hermes."

"I see…" - Hestia said as the entire ball room went silent at the sound of 2 newcomers entering the party.

"It's the Sword Princess."

"She has got to be one of the most beautiful girls in Orario."

"Apparently she just turned level 6."

"That's Loki, leader of the Loki Familia who is tied with Freya for the strongest Familia in Orario." - Were some of the many things said by the different gods and adventurers currently attending the party, as he then made his way towards Ais and Loki, Hestia following soon after, as the other people in the party resumed what they were previously doing.

As Bell and Ais met face to face, there was a brief silence between the 2 as they observed each other in silence, small blushes appearing on their face as Loki and Hestia looked at each other before huffing and turning away from each other in perfect sync.

"W-well, you look amazing Ais. Words cannot even begin to describe it." - Bell said to Ais who wore the same clothes as she did in cannon, although her dress was white instead of a light green.

"Y-you to B-Bell." - Ais said, as there was a brief silence between the 2 once again, causing Hestia to become annoyed at the awkward silence, as she then marched over to Loki before dragging her away by the wrist towards Take, Miach, Asfi, Mikoto, Hermes, and Naaza. Loki complained all the way and taunted Hestia, although if anyone paid close attention, they could tell that she was playing along with Hestia as her words didn't have any spite behind them.

"Well that was something." - Bell said, causing Ais to let out a small giggle which was like the sound of bells chiming to the Quincy King.

But before Bell or Ais could say anything, Bell suddenly sensed someone entering the room with a larger man, as the people around began to gossip about the woman. The said woman then began to make her way towards the couple, the large Boaz following closely behind her.

"My my, would you be so kind as to give me sweet dreams tonight~?" - Freya said with a very flirtatious and insinuating tone, causing Bell to inwardly roll his eyes at the goddesses forwardness, as he began to force his blood towards his cheeks, mimicking a blush as he looked away, causing Ais to become jealous and angry.

"I umm, I-I-" - Bell tried to say, fooling the goddess into thinking he was nervous, which based on her widening smile, seemed to be working. But before he could let a coherent word out, he was interrupted by Loki who walked up to Freya who was followed soon after by Hestia.

"Freya! Get your perverted eyes off my Bell!" - Hestia said with a growl, causing Freya to let out a small laugh, Ottar discreetly giving Hestia a death glare for insulting his goddess, which only Bell noticed as he narrowed his eyes at Ottar, prepared to instantly blast a full powered Heilig Pfeil at Ottar if he made any move on Hestia, as he knew just how obsessed he was with Freya.

The said Boaz however didn't feel the intent coming from Bell, as Bell was able to hide his intentions perfectly.

But as Hestia began to have a one sided argument with Freya, who always kept her calm facade, she finally let out a sigh.

"It pains me to know that you don't want to see me right now, my dear Hestia. I guess I will go say hi to the other guests." - Freya said as she walked away, as Ottar, like a lost puppy, followed close behind her. Causing Bell to drop his guard, no one notices.

"You're welcome." - Hestia said as she rushed off towards the previous group she was with, Loki letting out an exasperated huff before giving Bell and Ais a thumbs up before following close behind Hestia.

"Well that happened. But now then, there are a couple of things that I need to tell you, but first we need to find a spot more private where there are no open ears…" - Bell said, as he grabbed Ais's hand causing her to blush, as he carefully led her to the balcony outside of the ballroom where they could have a conversation.

After reaching the balcony, which separated them from the ballroom with glass windows, the pair began to chat before Bell began to talk about the reason why he needed to bring her there.

"Ok Ais, are you aware of what happened to Welf and Lily whilst we were on our little training trip?" - Bell questioned, Ais shaking her head.

"No I haven't, did something bad happen?" - Ais said, causing Bell to let out a sigh.

Bell then goes on to explain the whole ordeal of what happened between Welf and Lily and the executives of the Apollo Familia at a bar. Which after hearing, causes Ais's hair to shadow her face as began to shake slightly before she stops, courtesy of Bell who held her hand causing her to slightly calm down.

"Why, why would they attack them? I should kill them, they have no right to attack our people and fellow Quincies. They must repent for their actions." - Ais said with a hushed whisper that was completely filled with bloodlust, barely able to hold her composure. As Bell shook his head before tilting Ais's head up to face him.

"I know Ais, I know that just as much as you do, but there is a process to things, nor can either of us kill them as that would cause an uproar. All I know is that there is going to be a wargame between the Apollo Familia and my Familia, so this is between my familia and theirs, so please try to stay out of it." - Ais said, causing Ais's eyes to widen in surprise, as she looked straight into Bell's own eyes.

"B-but Bell, there are so many of them, along with that, their captain, Hyakinthos, is a level 4. Are you sure you don't need help?" - Ais said with a voice full of worry over her boyfriend being in danger.

"Only a level 4? Then he is no match for me." - Bell said as her eyes once again widened in realization, before going back to normal as she shook her head, realizing just who she was talking to, as she slapped her forehead in stupidity, causing Bell to chuckle.

"Besides, I am even stronger than you, a level 6." - Bell said as this caused Ais to gain a confident look as she walked up to Bell.

"Are you sure? After all, I did just get a new power." - Ais said, tilting her chin up in pride, causing Bell to chuckle before wrapping his arms around her, causing her to become flustered.

"Well then, let me show you." - Bell said as he gently but forcefully planted his lips onto hers, to which she tried to push away but only to find that her arms were failing her, not allowing her to muster any strength as she began to melt from the kiss, as the only thing she could to in return was to return Bells enthusiasm with her own, returning the kiss as she wrapped her arms around his neck. But after a brief moment, he broke the kiss but still embraced Ais, a thin stand of saliva which was connected to each of their mouths.

"See? You weren't able to push away from me." - Bell said, causing Ais to pout as he began to let out a small laugh which was shortly ended by Ais planting her lips on Bell with a hum of contentment.

As the couple continued to become lost in their passion, they didn't notice a smirking Hermes who had also entered the balcony, who let out a small cough causing Bell and Ais to separate almost instantly, but were still embracing each other.

"Am I interrupting something?" - Hermes said as he had a smirk on his face, causing Bell to frown.

"Yes, and before you continue, just know that if you tell anyone about this or what you saw, I will chop off the thing between your legs that makes you a man." - Ais said with furrowed brows, causing Hermes to let out a squeal, grabbing his crotch. But after regaining his composure, he continued.

"I just wanted to let you both know that there is currently a song playing in the ballroom and the majority of the people there are dancing, just wanted to let the both of you know." - He said as he dashed off, leading a cloud of dust where he previously stood.

Bell then released Ais as he coughed into his fist, Ais raising an eyebrow in confusion, as Bell then lent forward before offering a hand to Ais.

"M'lady, may I have this dance." - Bell said as Ais formed a small smile.

"Yes." - Was all Ais said, as she was gracefully led to the ballroom where Bell proceeded to gently grab onto Ais, a hand grabbing hers as he wrapped his other hand around her waist, Ais following suit not knowing what she is doing.

"Have you ever danced before?" - Bell questioned.

"No, have you?"

"Yes actually, although it will only be my first time dancing with someone other than my Aunt." - Bell said, causing Ais to nod.

"Just stay light on your feet and follow my lead, okay?" - Bell said, as Ais gave a nod in response as the pair began to slowly match their movements with the music.

Thanks to Liaris Freeze, Ais was quickly learning how to dance, as the pair picked up speed, doing a couple fancy moves which involved Bell twirling Ais. As this seemed to slowly gain the attention of the other dancers before a large majority silently watched on as the pair continued to be lost in their dance.

But as they continued their dance, they failed to notice that more and more people were beginning to watch them, as they started to pick up speed and make even more flashy moves. But eventually, the song ended, causing them to stop, Ais giving Bell a small smile, showing that she had fun.

But not a moment passed before over half of the people attending the party started to applaud the pair, causing Ais to look at the ground in embarrassment as Bell simply smiled and rubbed the back of his neck in sheepishness.

"Would it be too late to let loose a bunch of Minotaurs in this place?" - Freya said with a frown as she saw the 2 forms of Ais and Bell enjoying themselves, causing Ottar to put a finger on his chin in thought before answering.

"I am afraid, not Goddess." - Ottar said, causing Freya to sigh in annoyance.

But after a couple of seconds, the lights of the ball room turned off causing everyone to become silent, as a light suddenly was focused on Bell, illuminating him in the darkness as an applause could be heard.

"Marvelous, I haven't seen such a performance in quite some time, call me impressed!" - Apollo cheated, causing Ais's eyes to twitch as Bell was inwardly frowning, his face being blank.

"Although, just recently in fact, it has come to my attention that one of the adventurers in your Familia has assaulted my precious child Luan!" - Apollo said, dramatically putting a hand on his forehead, as another light was shown on Luan who was now completely bundled up in bandages from head to toe, random splints on his body as well as a cast on his foot with a single crutch, causing everyone to look at Luan who was now groaning in apparently unbearable pain and agony.

"I don't know what to do, if only there was a way to compensate for such actions to repent…" - Apollo said with a brief pause, before snapping his fingers and continuing. "Ah ha! I have just the right idea to repent for your child's sins! I, Apollo, challenge the Hestia Familia to a wargame!" - Apollo yelled, causing everyone to gasp, Bell frowning as he inwardly had a malicious smile since everything was going according to what he foresaw.

"Are you crazy?! Why would we accept-" - Hestia tried to say since Bell told her to, as she now stood next to Bell, but was immediately interrupted by a person in the crowd who began chanting for a wargame, which started a chain reaction as soon, everyone save for the allies and friends of the Hestia Familia, began to cheer for a wargame, causing Apollo to smile maliciously which was hidden by his hand.

"ENOUGH!" - Hestia yelled in a rare showing of her authority, causing everyone in the ball room to quiet down so now it was dead silent.

"If you want a wargame, I will give you a wargame!" - Hestia said, causing the crowd to cheer, as Hestia's allies and friends began to nervously look at each other, wondering what on earth Hestia was doing. Except for Hermes who had an idea on what Bell was capable of and Miach, who was the only other god at the party who knew exactly who Bell is and just how much of a monster he is.

"Then it's settled, in 1 week's time, we shall prepare a wargame, as in the evening tomorrow, a Denatus will be held to hold a meeting to declare the rules and regulations and what type of wargame will be held!" - Apollo finished with a malicious smile directed towards Bell, causing him to inwardly laugh in amusement.

Going along with Bell's plan, Hestia proceeded to huff before grabbing Bell's wrist and dragging him away, Ais following soon after as her goddess caught up to her, as the group of 4 left the party.

"I think we should have a talk with Hestia after the Denatus tomorrow, I don't think she understands just what she is getting herself into." Takemikazuchi said, causing the others except for Hermes and Miach to nod in agreement, as they turned themselves in for the night to get some sleep.

After Bell got home however, he had his status updated by Hestia, as it has been quite some time since he has last gotten his status updated.

After Bell had gone over his status sheet and observed how he had improved, he went to bed.

Time Skip: The Next Morning

After waking up and making sure that all the Familia members including their goddess were gathered together, Bell goes on to explain to Hestia what rules she should say during the Denatus.

"So Hestia, when the time comes for you and Apollo to negotiate the rules for the wargame, there are a couple demands you should make. The first of which is that we will be on the defensive and that they will be on the offensive. The second is that we are allowed to add 1 member outside of our Familia for the wargame, the terms for which person we can choose doesn't matter." - Bell said, as Hestia mentally took note of what she should say.

"If you succeed in doing these 3 things, then you can just leave the rest to us, ok?" - Bell said, as he gave a small but fond smile to Hestia, causing her to return it with a smile of her own.

"Ok Bell, leave it to me!" - Hestia said energetically whilst posing, which made Welf and Lily laugh, Bell letting out a small chuckle of amusement at his goddesses antics.

"Now then, we need to go get Ais so I can explain to the rest of you what the next step in your Quincy training will be." - Bell said, causing Welf to give him a confused look.

"What do you mean Bell? Haven't we already mastered all of the techniques available to us which leaves only our control over them to train?" - Lily said, causing Bell to nod.

"Whilst you have mastered the basic versions of the Heilig Bogen, Heilig Pfeil, and Blut Vein, you all have yet to master or even learn the more advanced versions of those said techniques." - Bell said, causing Welf and Lily to raise an eyebrow as they began to pester Bell on what exactly he meant. But after realizing that they were being ignored as Bell began walking away, they followed soon after as they began to ponder what he meant.

After reaching the Twilight Manor, Bell left Welf and Lily outside as he entered. As it merely took asking Fin if he and his Familia could train with Ais to which he got his approval, as he then went to her room to which he found her meditating. But after questioning if she would like to join him and the other Quincies to train and learn a more advanced technique, she immediately got her new Quincy attire/armor and dashed outside whilst dragging Bell by the wrists. The Quincies after regrouping, then went back to the Wandenreich in the training area to train. As Welf, Lily, and Ais stood in wait for Bell's explanation.

"So, to begin, all three of you are able to fully utilize the various Quincy abilities available to you in any given situation, correct?" - Bell said, earning a nod from the three as he nodded in return, pleased with their response.

"However, you all have yet to use the more powerful variations of Blut Vene, Heilig Bogen, and Helig Pfeil, which is what I will show you." - Bell said, as he then proceeded to use Blut Vene.

When he used it however, unlike the light blue coloration of the pattern which traces the users veins, it was now much darker with tints of light blue and white.

"Now Ais, Welf, Lily, show me what your Blut Vene looks like." - Bell said, as the 3 used the said technique, the difference between Bell's and theirs however, was that his was dark blue with hints of white and light blue. As there was the normal but solid light blue, causing their eyebrows to raise.

"Now then, show me a Helig Bogen and Helig Pfeil." - Bell said, summoning the 2 weapons which had the same color as the Blut Vene he had previously used, Welf, Lily, and Ais following suite as their Helig Bogen and Helig Pfeil were both the normal light blue color as their Blut.

"As you can see, the more advanced and more powerful version of the 3 techniques I have shown you are based can be seen by the coloration of your Blut, Helig Bogen, and Helig Pfeil." - Bell said, causing Ais to nod in understanding, as Welf and Lily gave confused expressions.

"But Bell, I thought the coloration didn't matter, as the color of the said techniques should be based on the user's Reiatsu color, shouldn't they?" - Lily questioned which caused Bell to nod.

"Whilst that would normally be true, you seem to not understand what I mean. As all Quincies should have the classic light blue coloration to their Spiritual energy since its origins were from me, as I myself have light blue colored Spiritual Energy. However, the reason as to the change in coloration is because of how much Reishi I infused into the technique, as the shifts in color are because of how dense I compacted the Reishi into the technique, making it more durable and potent." - Bell finished, causing Lily to nod in understanding.

An: For the sake of the story, pretend that the manga's coloration for Blut Vene, Heilig Bogen, and Helig Pfeil are the basic versions of the Heilig Pfeil, Helig Bogen, and Blut Vene for this story. As the Anime's coloration for the said techniques in the TYBW arc are the more advanced versions.

"If you wish to test the difference between our Helig Pfeil, you are more than welcome to, just know that I cannot guarantee your safety." - Bell said with a small grin, causing Welf to grumble as he stepped forward and summoned his Helig Bogen and prepared to fire a Helig Pfeil at Bell, the said man doing the same with the more powerful variations of the said techniques with roughly the same amount of Reiatsu fused into the Techniques as Welf who had put in the attack.

"Now, on 3. 1, 2, 3!" - Bell said, as he and Welf let their arrows soar towards each other. But much to Welf's shock, Bell's arrow completely destroyed his own without being damaged as well as not slowing down what so ever, as it headed straight for Welf at a blinding speed, as he would be unable to dodge in time.

Thankfully however, Bell rushed faster than the eye could see and caught his own Helig Pfeil by pinching the tip of the arrow, causing Welf's eyes to open in shock.

"As you can clearly see, I was also able to stop the attack without any effort, this is because I was using the same amount of power into the technique as you were, so the excuse of you saying that 'I could have used more power into the technique then you' would now be completely useless. As if I was firing it at full power, I would not have been able to stop it so easily. " - Bell said, causing Welf to open his mouth to refute but couldn't find the words, as he looked down at the ground with a sigh.

"So it would seem that even after all the work and struggle we have gone through, there is still much more to learn…" - Welf said in a downcast expression, as Bell put a hand on his shoulder causing him to look the King into his eyes, who held a fond look.

"Don't look so down Welf, Quincies like us have unlimited potential which is only limited to the Reishi in the surrounding area, even I with all my knowledge and experience, still have things to learn." - Bell said, causing Welf to nod.

"Now for the training, the easiest to learn is the advanced variation for the Helig Bogen, so for now, focus on infusing as much Reshi into the technique as you can whilst still maintaining its original shape." - Bell said, causing the 3 to nod with determined expressions as they did just that.

As the 3 continued their training, before long, it was time for Hestia to head to the Denatus where she was going to meet up with Hephestus, Takemikazuchi, Miach, and even Loki. After arriving, she was greeted by the nervous looks Hephestus and Take were sending her, Miach and Loki just looked accepting, having an idea of how the wargame was going to go before it even started. So after briefly getting various worried questions from Take and Hephestus to which she shrugged off, they finally arrived at the Denatus. After entering the area where the other gods were gathered, the 4 sat down near the front row which is where Hermes was sitting. After sitting for a couple of moments, Hestia could hear the murmurs of the various gods in the Denatus, as they whispered about how crazy Hestia was to challenge the Apollo Familia and how badly she was going to lose, to which she shook her head at as she remembered the terms for the wargame which Bell asked her to make.

"Now that everyone has arrived, let's begin the naming ceremony." - Hermes said, as he was the host for this Denatus, as he along with the other gods began to give names to the various adventurers that have leveled up in the past month. The said nicknames which would be rather displeasing to the adventurer getting one, as the gods themselves were merely amused.

After giving nicknames to all of the adventurers who have leveled up, it was time to discuss the terms and rules for the wargame between the Hestia and Apollo Familia.

"Without further ado, it is now time to discuss the terms for the wargame between the Hesita and Apollo Familia!" - Hermes yelled, causing the other gods to cheer in excitement. "Would Hestia and Apollo please take their seats." - Hermes said, as the 2 said deities walked towards a table, each opposite ends having a chair, as they sat down facing one another, Hestia with a calm expression as Apollo had a malicious smile.

"Now, to determine what type of wargame will be held!" - Hermes said, earning another cheer from the various deities attending the Denatus, as he pulled out a jar which held a multitude of pieces of paper which had the different types of Wargames inscribed upon them. Hermes then jammed his hand into the jar before grabbing a piece of paper which determined the type of wargame which will be held.

"The wargame will be that of Castle Defense!" - Hermes yelled, earning excited cheers from the various gods, as Takemikazuchi and Hephestus sent Hestia worried glances, knowing this was one of the worst possible types of wargames for Hestia's current situation.

"The rules are that one will be defending and one will be offensive. The offensive team will be attacking the castle of which will be defended by the defensive team. The goal of the offending team is to make the captain of the defending team submit, resulting in the offending team winning. But if the offending team's captain loses before the defending captain either submits or is knocked out, the defending team wins. Are there any questions." - Hermes finished as Hestia and Apollo were silent.

"Now then, onto the demands for whoever wins and what terms they have for the wargame. Apollo, what would you like from Hestia if you win?" - Hermes asked Apollo.

"Yes actually, what I want is your captain, Bell Cranel, to become a member of my Familia as well as that smith and supporter." - Apollo said with a malicious smile, slightly unnerving Hermes.

"N-now for you Hestia." - Hermes said, causing Hestia to nod, but before she could respond, Apollo spoke up.

"I don't much care what she wants, after all, it is impossible for her to win against me in a wargame!" - Apollo said with a laugh, causing Hestia's hair to shadow her face, unnerving Hermes who has only seen this side of Hestia twice.

"Well in that case, since you have the advantage as well as being the challenger, I want to add another person to my Familia's team to help compensate." - Hestia said, causing Apollo to frown.

"That is out of the question, there is no way I would allow such a thing, as there has been no such rule for a wargame before!" - Apollo yelled in outrage causing many of the gods to scowl at his excuse, as this was making the wargame seem less and less fair, and therefore much less entertaining.

"Are you perhaps scared of losing Apollo? After all, there are only 3 members currently in the Hestia Familia, so why are you so against the idea?" - Freya spoke up gaining everyone's attention, as Apollo gave a sheepish smile before nodding, seemingly charmed by Freya even though she hadn't actively used her charm on him.

"Very well then, in all my nobility and humbleness, I will allow it on one condition. This condition is that it has to be a member of a Familia who is outside of Orario." - Apollo said, causing everyone to yell in outrage at the gods' cowardice.

"Fine, then I want to make another demand then." - Hestia said, causing Apollo to scoff.

"Fine, it's not like it will make a difference anyway." - Was all Apollo said.

"The last request I make is that my Familia, the Hestia Familia, is on the defending side during the wargame." - Hestia said, causing everyone's jaw to drop at this seemingly stupid request Apollo begging to laugh in mockery at Hestia.

"Are you out of your mind Hestia? Of course I will accept this, it practically guarantees my victory." - Apollo said, causing Hesita to inwardly smile, giving herself a thumbs up for completing the task Bell has given her.

Shaking out of his shock at Hestia's seemingly idiodic request, Hermes spoke up.

"With that out of the way then, when will this wargame be held?" - Hermes said, as Apollo spoke up in excitement.

"In 1 week." - Apollo said to which after Hermes questioned Hestia if she agreed to this, he received nothing but a nod.

"Then it's settled. In 1 week, the wargame between the Hestia Familia and Apollo Familia will commence." - Hermes yelled, causing the other gods to cheer in excitement at a new source of entertainment, Apollo giving Hestia a confident smirk as he left.

Soon after, everyone began to disperse as hestia was left with Hephestus, Take, Miach, and Loki.

"You better have a plan, Shrimp, but I will be rooting for ya." - Loki said as she gave Hestia a brief thumbs up before leaving, shocking the other 4 as she had never praised or even cheered Hestia on once before now.

"Are you sure about this Hestia? Defending the entire Apollo Familia which has a sum of over 100 adventurers with only 3 Familia members? You seriously need to think more carefully." - Takemikazuchi said with worry as Hestia shook her head.

"If you underestimate my Familia members, then you will be quite surprised on what they are capable of." - Hestia said, causing him to sigh with a shake of his head.

"I need to be going now though, I need to prepare my Familia and make sure they are ready for the upcoming wargame." - Hestia said as she left, leaving the 3 deities alone, as they also headed back to their own homes.

Scene Change: The Wandenreich

If one were to look in the training ground at the Wandenreich, they would see three figures holding a now advanced Helig Bogen and Helig Pfeil, their forms sweating profusely in exertion as the advanced variation of the Blut Vene could be seen pulsing on their entire body.

"F-finally, it only took us 6 hours but we finally did it." - Lily said, as she immediately laid on her back, comically spreading her arms and legs.

"Yes, I am pleased with all of your progress thus far." - Bell said as he could be seen sitting on a large boulder.

"But now that we have done this, what is the next step in our training?" - Ais questioned seemingly refueled on energy at just the idea of becoming even stronger, causing Bell to sweat drop.

"I haven't determined that yet, for now, you 3 need rest, it's been a long training session." - Bell said, Welf and Lily sighed in relief, Ais forming a pout, showing that she wanted to continue training which Bell noticed.

"Well, I guess we can continue training if you really want to Ais." - Bell said as Ais immediately unsheathed her Desperate, Bell following soon after with Zangetsu as the pair rushed at each other, a shockwave being created from their swords connecting.

"Fuck that!" - Welf said indignantly, as he rushed back inside of the Wandenreich so he wouldn't be in the crossfire of their battle, Lily following mere moments later.

"You have been improving even more Ais, I can tell by the raw strength and determination behind each of your strikes!" - Bell yelled as he and Ais were currently trading blows with their swords in the air, Ais humming in gratitude at his comment.

"Let's kick this up a notch."

"Agreed." - Ais replied, as the swords of the 2 suddenly were lit up by a fiery blue reishi, as they once again rushed at each other.

After dodging a Helig Pfeil from Bell, she failed to notice that he appeared to the right of her before she was kneed in the side, which she was able to cushion the impact by using Blute Vene, which thanks to having the advanced variation, was able to completely nullify the strike.

"Sankt Bogen!" - Bell said as a massive arc in the sky sent a massive Helig Pfeil at Ais which she cut with her sword, using her Schrift, causing the arrow to puff into a large burst of Reishi. After seeing this, Bell's eyes widen for a brief moment before shifting them to a stone cold look, as he sent another arrow hurtling towards Ais to which she once again cut in half, but using the blue screen of Reishi to his advantage, Bell tried to slam his palm into Ais's gut, only for his arm to get grabbed by Ais as she tried to slice at his waist which Bell tried to dodge. But because of Ais's firm grip on his arm, he was unable to, as he then activated his Blut Vene and caught her sword which greatly shocked Ais, as the 2 were in a power struggle for a moment before Bell was kicked in the chest by Ais, causing him to get sent flying meters away and into and threw a tree before skidding to a halt on the ground with a blank look on his face. Bunch of leaves and sticks being stuck in his hair which caused Ais to openly laugh as a tick mark was formed on his forehead, as he shot himself at Ais which shook her out of her laughter, as she tried to land a diagonal slash on his chest only for him to dodge as he sent a shockwave created by a burst of his reiatsu careening towards Ais which sent her flying higher into the air, Bell launching multiple arrows which she was able to destroy with her sword as she launched a Helig Pfeil of her own at Bell to which he dodged with ease.

He then blitzed behind Ais in a rush of Hirenkyaku, surprising her as he stomped on the back of her leg, causing her to lose balance as he tried to slash her back, only for her to cancel the attack with Blut Vene which caused him to smile, seeing that she was using Blut Vene to its utmost efficiency. Ais then landed an overhead kick to Bell's shoulder, causing him to wince in pain as he then shot a firebolt point blank at her leg, causing her to hiss at the impact but because of the difference in stats, she didn't really get affected. But it was enough for Bell, as he quickly slammed his fist into Ais's gut which was enforced by enough of his Reiatsu that it still managed to damage her whilst she had Blut Vene active, as it caused Ais to bend over and cough up Saliva as she was sent flying towards the ground creating a crater with a large dust cloud.

But knowing that it wouldn't be enough to keep the newly made Quincy Queen down, as he rushed at the location where she impacted the ground with a stomp, only for him to realize that she was no longer there. But before he could even process what happened next, Ais sent a Helig Pfeil through the dust which Bell was able to catch, only for it to explode into a puff of Reishi, causing Bell to curse.

"Clever." - Bell said, as he shook off the pain he felt from the explosion. "But you of all people should know that clever won't beat me." - As he then rocketed towards the area that the Helig Pfeil came from, revealing the form of Ais who was already expecting Bell, as their swords once again clashed creating a shockwave that cleared out all of the dust.

Inside of the Wandenreich

"It seems Bell and Ais still training." - Hestia said absentmindedly as after the Denatus, she had gone to get some more books from the market, as when she returned, she was greeted with the sounds of swords clashing, as she now stood inside the Wandenreich at the back, trying but failing to follow the 2 forms of Bell and Ais.

"It's quite the sight though isn't it? I mean, Miss Ais seems to be going all out, and yet Bell most likely isn't putting much effort into it at all. It just goes to show that we still have a long way to go." - Welf said as he was currently standing Beside Hestia alongside Lily, as although barely, they were able to keep up with the forms of Bell and Ais.

"Speaking of getting stronger, Hestia, mind if we get our statuses updated?" - Lily questioned, causing Hestia to nod, as they made their way to a room in which they could get their statuses updated.

After updating their Falna, Hestia handed the 2 their status sheets, as they began to look them over with satisfied expressions..

"Ohh yeah! Well, look who has a higher status than you!" - Lily said, sticking her tongue out at Welf, causing him to snicker in amusement as Lily began to fume, as she turned away from Welf with a huff, causing him to burst out laughing as Lily was trying her best not to smile.

But after a few minutes of laughter, Welf was able to calm himself down, as he and Lily made their way back towards the living room, only to see the battered forms of Bell and Ais.

"It seems you 2 had fun…" - Lily said, as Bell sheepishly rubbed the back of her head, Ais tilting her head in confusion.

"Yeah, we might have gone 'slightly' overboard in our 'light spar'." - Bell said with a smile, causing Hestia to shake her head in exasperation at Bell and Ais, knowing that the ladder is training maniac as the former is a battle maniac, although he adamantly denies it.

"Well, I think it's about time I go back home, Loki and the others are probably expecting me soon since I have been gone the whole morning and afternoon." - Ais said as she started walking away, causing Bell, Hestia, Welf, and Lily to say their goodbyes.

With the Takemikazuchi Familia

If one were to go into the room of Take, they would find him with a raised eyebrow looking at a certain black haired swordswoman, who was currently in the Dogeza position.

"Please God Takemikazuchi, let me join the Hestia Familia so I can join the wargame against the Apollo Familia." - Mikoto said, as this caused Take to sigh as he rubbed his face.

"Are you absolutely positive Mikoto? You do know that by Orario's law, even if you wish to rejoin my Familia after the wargame, it would be after a year in the Hestia Familia, as an adventurer can only switch Familia's once a year." - Take said, causing Mikoto's fists to visibly tighten.

"I-I know, but they saved me and the others from an incident in the middle floors, if it wasn't for them, we would not be here right now. So please, Mr. Takemikazuchi, let me join the Hestia Familia so I can assist in the wargame against the Apollo Fam

ilia." - Mikoto repeated, causing Take to let out a sigh of defeat.

"Alright, fine, if that is what you want then who am I to stop you. Just know that you are always welcome to come visit us and the other Familia members and ask for help if you need it." - Take said, as a lone tear drop fell from Mikoto's eye, as she nodded her head. As Takemikazuchi did the ritual to remove Mikoto from his Familia, causing her to feel like something in her very soul was removed as her Falna was unlocked to be transferred to another Familia, but still allowing her to have access to the strength that the Falna gives her, which started to create an empty feeling in her heart. But stealing her resolve, she gave once last farewell to Take and her old Familia members before making her way towards the Wandenreich with a determined look on her face.

When she arrived at the Wandenreich however, she couldn't help but be in awe at the massive church turned castle which had a grand bell at the top as well as multiple different floors, as she also noticed steam coming from one of the rooms across the other side, realizing that it is a Onsen which is the indoor version of a Hot Spring, causing her eyes to sparkle as even the Take Familia which was a Far Eastern style Familia, did not have an Onsen.

After familiarizing herself with the outside of the Wandenreich, she made her way to 2 relatively large double doors and knocked, as she was greeted by a short black haired Goddess known as Hestia.

"Mikoto? What are you doing here?" - Hestia questioned, although she already knew why since Bell had told her.

"I have a favor to ask, if you don't mind goddess Hestia." - Mikoto said, rubbing her arm nervously, causing Hestia to tilt her head in mock confusion before shrugging and letting her inside to the living room which is where Bell was currently sitting on a throne- like chair, Welf inspecting a random weapon, as Lily was currently reading a book.

"I want to join your Familia so I can assist in the wargame you are in against the Apollo Familia." - Mikoto said, as instead of the shocked faces she expected, she was greeted by a silence with incredulous expressions from Welf, Lily, and Bell.

"If that is the only reason you wish to join our Familia, then we won't accept you into our Familia, as you need a reason to join that isn't just to help us, like what is your end goal and how does that tie you to our Familia?" - Bell said, sending Mikoto a stern look which surprised her as Bell seemed like the type of guy who was very carefree, as this slightly unnerved her.

"Well, I also noticed how on the 18th floor, all of you played a massive part in the defeat of the Black Goliath, along with a strange monster that I only was once..." - Mikoto said, Bell patiently waiting for her to continue.

"But even against those insurmountable odds, you all were able to not only survive but protect those who were not as powerful, that is what I want. My goal as of this moment is to protect those I care about, but in order to do so I need to become stronger, then stronger than strong and then stronger than that." - Mikoto said as a familiar fire was set in her eyes, causing Welf, Lily and Bell to smirk.

"Very well then, if you wish to join my Familia, there is only one trial you must complete and that is to land one strike against me. Of course, I will not be attacking you, I will only be defending. However, no magic is prohibited, only physical attacks are allowed." - Bell said, causing Mikoto to gain a confident expression as she assumed that she and Bell were the same level, so although it would be very difficult to win, it shouldn't be very hard to land a hit.

Sadly for Mikoto, she would soon find out just how wrong she was. As the 3 stepped outside into the training ground, a small breeze blew through the air which caused Mikoto to suddenly become nervous. As she unsheathed her katana, Bell pulled out a small knife from his belt which confused Mikoto.

"You may attack when you are ready, you will have 5 minutes to land a single attack on me with any means necessary." - Bell said, causing Mikoto to raise an eyebrow of confusion, the other members of the Hestia Familia watching on from the sidelines with unreadable expressions.

"Why aren't you drawing your sword?" - Mikoto questioned with genuine confusion.

"Well you see, one does not use a cannon to kill a rabbit, they would instead use a Slingshot or maybe a small throwing knife. It's the same concept here, there is no reason for me to draw my sword." - Bell said, causing Mikoto's brows to narrow in slight anger at being underestimated to such an extent.

"Then I will just force you to draw it!" - Mikoto said in a mixture of rage and resolve, launching herself at Bell with an overhead swing, trying to cleave him in half only to hear a loud *clang being heard throughout the training ground causing Mikoto's eyes to widen in shock and disbelief at what she saw.

Instead of seeing Bell dodge which whe expected, she saw him blocking her sword with his knife. This block however, was executed by him pointing the very tip of his knife in a relaxed grip perfectly in line with her blade, stopping it in its tracks completely.

'Impossible!' - Mikoto thought to herself as she put more of her strength on the swing but no matter how hard she pushed, Bell's arm wouldn't budge even a nanometer.

"Is that all…" - Bell questioned in a monotone voice, slightly narrowing her eyebrows at Mikoto, causing her to jump back, gaining distance from Bell, causing him to raise an eyebrow before he had a devilish idea.

"Since I am defending myself and not attacking you, if you wish to attack me, you will have to come closer to me… Or maybe, you're afraid that getting any closer will put you at a disadvantage, making you vulnerable. That right?" - Bell questioned with a smile that seemed to ooze an ominous aura, causing beads of sweat to fall from her hairline, not even blinking.

Taking a page from a familiar brown haired shinigami, he continued.

"If that's the case, then you need a reality check." - Bell said, as Mikoto tightened the grip on her sword at the impending threat.

"Keeping distance between yourself and your opponent is only meaningful when you are fighting someone who is equal in strength and skills, it's pointless for you to do that with me." - Bell said, as quicker then Mikoto could process, he blitzed infront of her, pressing his pointer finger on the upper portion of her chest so as to not touch her breasts.

"See, I can reach out and touch your heart, without even breaking a sweat." - Bell finished in a calm and monotone voice, as Mikoto's body froze in absolute terror, not even breathing until Bell once again flashed into the spot he was in before, causing her to let out a large gasp of air as she looked straight at him, her katana shaking visibly in her hand, showing that her resolve was beginning to falter.

"Your hands are shaking because you are second guessing yourself and are beginning to overthink this, if you continue to do that, you will begin to fall into despair…" - Bell said, completely disregarding the mind boggling feat he had just done, causing Mikoto to bite her lip as she tried to control her breathing in order to calm her racing heart. Sadly, this didn't seem to help at all as she started to hyperventilate, to which Bell and the others picked up on, causing a stern look to come across Bell's face as he called to Mikoto.

"You're riling yourself up Mikoto, relax, for if you are in a battle and fall into despair, the battle is already over. So from this moment in time to the day you die, remember these words, that goes for you too Welf and Lily." - Bell said, as the 3 looked at him, Mikoto however was slightly fearful of Bell despite him ensuring that he wouldn't attack her during this test.

"When in combat with a person, a group, a Familia, or even an army, in order to achieve 100% victory, the opposing side must tip into despair. Hence, you must never despair: wrap yourself in hope as you've never felt before, so that everything other than you and your comrades, will sink in despair." - Bell said, causing Mikoto's grip on her sword to tighten, this however was not in fear but in determination and resolve.

"But on top of that, I already told you that I will not strike or harm you during this entire test, as your sole goal is to land a single strike onto me whilst I either dodge or evade. So there is absolutely no reason for you to hesitate or be afraid. As if you let those feelings happen, they will cause your strength to dwindle, your speed and stamina to decrease, as well as making you become sloppy." - Bell said, causing Mikoto to let out a deep breath as she closed her eyes, which after she finally calmed herself down, she once again charged at Bell, only for her sword to be deflected by Bell's knife at the last moment.

However, she immediately redirected her sword to try and carve into Bell's side, only for him to quickly jump over it, as she then tried to land a kick on the now airborne Bell, only for him to her confusion, dodge midair. Once he hit the ground, she tried to thrust her katana into him, only for the tip of her sword to be met with the side of Bell's knife as he redirected the thrust and dragged his knife down her blade before pulling away, which made a slicing sound, a small chip being formed on her blade which although barely visible, Mikoto was able to notice as she began to try and hit him with multiple strikes, all of which were redirected by Bell's knife as he occasionally and with seemingly ease, dodged a handful of her strikes which made a feeling of dread come over her until she remembered the words that Bell had just recently spoken to her.

'Fill myself with hope that I have never felt before.' - Mikoto thought, replaying the speech Bell had given her on not falling into despair, as she began to focus on things that made her feel hope until she could no longer even fathom the idea of failure, causing the muscles in her body to strengthen, her speed and strikes becoming faster and more fluid, her instincts sharpening to a point as she put all her focus into the battle she was now in, disregarding all emotions except for the feelings of resolve and hope.

Unknown to her except for Bell, Welf, and Lily, the power which was deep within her awakened from the feeling of hope, that being her spiritual energy which although very faint and weak, still managed to put a smile on Bell's face.

With a mighty swing, she swung her sword down as hard as she could in an attempt to finally land a hit on Bell, which seemed to connect as it created a small cloud of dirt and debris. But as she hit him, Mikoto and the others heard the familiar humming sound of Blut Vene, although Mikoto was unaware of what it was. As when it began to clear, the familiar pattern of Blut Vene could be seen on Bell's forearm which he used to block her strike, causing Mikoto's mouth to open in shock.

"Congratulations Mikoto, welcome to the Hestia Familia." - Bell said, as just when he finished, the exhaustion of Mikoto unlocking her spiritual energy caused her to go unconscious, Bell catching her before she could hit the floor.

As she was unconscious, Bell carried her inside and was followed by Welf, Lily, and Hestia, as she laid her down on a bed in which her room would be held.

"She did well, I am surprised that she didn't give up after seeing how her strikes were so easily dealt with." - Lily said, causing Bell to smirk.

"Yes, well, she will be able to give you 2 runs for your money if she lives up to expectations…" - Bell said, leaving a brief silence in the air as he, Lily, and Welf were ushered out of the room by Hestia.

"Now give us some privacy when I add her to the Familia, as I have never done this with an unconscious person before." - Hestia said, Bell nodding as the door was shut in his face, as he did a 180 and began making his way to the throne like couch in which he sat as he began to meditate, focusing on the reishi in the air and slowly absorbing it, increasing his Spiritual Energy at a rather slow, but constant pace, Lily and Welf following suite soon after.

"And done! Congratulations Mikoto, you are now officially a part of the Hestia Familia." - Hestia said, as she had just finished replacing the Takemikazuchi Falna with her own, updating her status in the process as she set her status sheet on the dresser next to Mikoto, as she then copied the status sheet onto a regular sheet so she could show Bell what she was capable of at the moment, as she then quietly exited the room so she could rest.

After reading over the status sheet, Bell nodded in acknowledgement at the current ability level of Mikoto, as he, along with Hestia, began to make preparations for the upcoming wargame.

Timeskip: Next Morning

The next morning, Mikoto woke up only to see Bell seemingly meditating outside, as some sort of energy began to emanate from him, which caused her to widen her eyes, as she quickly started looking for her gear, only to see that a new pair of clothes were settled on the dresser next to her bed.

After contemplating on whether or not she should wear it, she ultimately decided to put it on after realizing that it was a similar set of clothing to which Bell and his Famila wore. When she was finished changing her clothes, she noticed that the outfit seemed to fit her perfectly as well as being made out of a high quality cloth.

A/N - It's the exact same attire that Bambietta wore in the TYBW arc.

She then started to make her way towards the training ground in which Bell was meditating, passing by Welf, Lily, and Hestia who were all focused on their own things, as they all gave her nothing more than a fleeting glance.

"What is that strange energy coming off of you?" - Mikoto questioned Bell after entering the training ground, the said man turning to look at her with a small smirk.

"The Quincy garbs seem to fit you quite well." - Bell said, which raised a multitude of questions in the back of Mikoto's mind, which she decided to squash after realizing that Bell didn't answer her question.

"Ok, but that still doesn't answer my question." - Mikoto said with an embarrassed huff, causing Bell to chuckle as he stood up.

"That, Mikoto, was reiatsu."

"What's Reiatsu?" - Mikoto questioned, as Bell proceeded to clear his throat.

Bell then told Mikoto all about the Reiatsu along with Reiyoku, Reishi, and the various beings that have access to them which caused her to become excited at the thought of slaying hollows like a hero slaying a dragon. However, Bell noticed this causing him to immediately shut her down as he then went on to tell her about the history about the Quincies, his past, what he has done, along with the various abilities he has access to. Saying that Mikoto was dumbfounded would be a huge understatement, as although all of his abilities were strong enough as they were, his strongest ability The Almighty was on a whole other dimension of power which alone could qualify him as a deity along with the ability that her apparently new Queen had which allowed her to cut literally ANYTHING. Seeing her shock however, Bell quickly waved Welf and Lily over to him who were leaning against a wall of the Wandenreich, causing them to smirk as they made their way towards him.

"Do not feel insecure and helpless, we will be here to help train you to help catch up, after all, the role I plan for you will require you to become far stronger than you are right now." - Bell said, causing Mikoto to nod as a determined expression crossed over her face.

"Now then, lesson 1, sensing Reishi and becoming Familiar with it as well as being able to become proficient at controlling your own Reiatsu." - Bell said, as he drilled her on the importance of control and focus.

After a couple hours of her finding and molding her Reiatsu, she was able to manage it in a proficient manner as well as being able to sense others in the surrounding area, which she seemed to have quite the aptitude for.

After noticing how her Reiatsu seemed to calm down and flow around Mikoto calmly instead of lashing out around her in an uncontrolled way, he determined that she was ready for the next step which he would be doing with her.

"Now for the next step, Reishi construction, to do this, you will need to guide the Reishi into a certain point and mix it with your Reiatsu so you can mold it into a Helig Bogen. You will then do the same with a Helig Pfeil." - Bell said, causing Mikoto to nod as she began to focus whilst Bell, Lily, and Welf silently watched on.

After another hour of attempting at the creation of a Helig Bogen and Helig Pfeil, Bell goes on to explain HIrenkyaku as well as Blut Vene, which after another mind bogglingly 8 hours of relentless training, finally learned the 2 techniques as if she was slightly off on her control with either of them, she would either fall out of the sky or have the blood in her veins evaporate because of her Spiritual Power if she wasn't careful.

The next day, Bell put her newly acquired techniques into practice in a very violent training session, as every time she failed to block a strike whilst activating Blut Vene, the area which he would hit would feel as if she was suddenly getting hit by a Minotaur without preparing herself. The fact that Bell was greatly holding back didn't even cross her mind as when they "spared" it seemed as though her life was on the line, but because a beings Reiatsu reserves increase when in a life or death situation, her Reiatsu went from that of a seated Shinigami to a that of a Lieutenant in their Shikai.

The following 2 days were filled with sparring, as until Bell determined that she was ready for the next step in her training, she would need to continue training hard. Keep in mind that throughout all of this, she was under the effects of Poison potion which was supposed to increase her abnormal resistance. After the first day however, he had Lily and Welf implement their Schrifts by firing off bolts of lighting and thin streams of flames at Mikoto whilst she and Bell sparred to help put more pressure onto her. At the end of each day, she had to consume a high potion as well as pouring a high potion on her cuts, bruises, and burns.

On the 4th day of training Mikoto to get up to snuff, he finally decided that she was worthy of a Schrift, as he had invited Ais to the ceremony since well, she was the Queen and whenever a new Sternritter was assigned a Schrift, it was only natural that she would be there next to the King to witness it.

So the next morning, Bell had gathered Welf, Ais, and Lily and had them help him create an area designated for such a sacred ordeal, as they used one of the rooms in the Wandenreich to make a room that was practically the same as the one he had sat in as his time as the Quincy Emperor, Yhwach. Seemingly on perfect time, as Mikoto exited her room prepared for another day of intense sparring, only to be greeted by Welf and Lily who were looking at her with calm but serious expression, causing her to become nervous.

"His majesty Yhwach and her majesty Ais are expecting you, I suggest that you don't keep them waiting…" - Lily said ominously, causing Mikoto to become slightly fearful as not once since she had joined the Hestia Familia had Welf or Lily use Bell's old name with such honor or address her in such a way. Deciding to question it later, she decided to follow the retreating forms of Welf and Lily which eventually arrived at 2 black doors, 2 blue torches being lit on either side making anyone who thought about entering have an uneasy feeling wash over them.

"Their Majesties are waiting." - Welf said robotically as he opened the door for Mikoto, which when she entered, quickly closed it behind her as she was now in a pitch black room when suddenly, the floor seemed to light up in a blue color as it soon arrived at the two forms of Bell and Ais, who wore their traditional Quincy attire that showed their stance in the although small, still very powerful Quincy empire.

Deciding to get closer to the 2 in order to have address what this whole thing was about, as soon as she was in arms reach of Bell and Ais , the pair suddenly released their Reiatsu for no more than a split second, causing Mikoto to fall to a knee, the air in her lungs involuntarily escaping her. Although Ais barely held back as to not risk damaging the surrounding area as Bell only used a fraction. Yet this small display of power was more than enough to put the fear of god in Mikoto, as she immediately took a knee, barely able to breath.

"B-His majesty, you wished to see me?" - Mikoto questioned with a shaky breath, only by the skin of her teeth calling Bell by his proper title, which after feeling the intensity in the room, she understood that this was no time for fun or to joke around.

"Mikoto Yamato, your progress with both the increase in your power as well as your control over it have greatly pleased me. So much so, that I believe you are deserving of a promotion" - Bell said, as both he and Ais picked up the shift in her Reiatsu which told them that she got very excited.

"Do not misunderstand this Mikoto, for when you obtain this promotion, you will be more representative of the Quincy Empire than ever before, so never slack off on your training, understood?" - Ais said in a chilly tone which before now, she was never able to produce which slightly surprised her.

"Yes, Her majesty." - Mikoto replied, causing Ais to nod her head in satisfaction that she did indeed seem that not only would she continue training, she would continue doing so even harder than before. Ais was able to pick this up just based on the feeling of her Reiatsu, showing just how far she had grown in the ways of the Quincy.

"Now then, I believe it's time, don't you agree?" - Bell said to Ais, who nodded in agreement as she pulled out a small silver cup, the bottom of it having a Quincy Zeichen inscribed onto it as she handed it to Bell, peaking Mikoto's curiosity.

"Mikoto Yamato, with the progress you have made in the last days in controlling your Reiatsu, increasing your reiatsu, as well as becoming proficient in the Quincy arts. But on top of that, with the upcoming war against the Apollo Familia, it has just cemented the fact that my decision will be correct." - Bell said, grabbing the cup which Ais held with his right hand, his left hand having his palm open as without a word, Ais made a perfectly clean and shallow cut on his palm, drawing a steady stream of blood as he clenched his fist and held it above the silver cup, his red blood slowly filling the cup of as Mikoto watched on intently, her heart rate increasing as she began to realize what Bell was doing based off of the history of the Quincies and the elite amongst the Quincies along with how Bell granted those said Elites a unique ability called a Schrift.

Just before the blood began to overflow, Bell used his Blut Vene which caused the bleeding to stop, as the energy of his Reiatsu began to emanate from the cup, showing that it had some sort of energy inside of it as he handed it to the still kneeling Mikoto which she took with grace.

"Mikoto Yamato, I grant you the Schrift J, The Jail. It will allow you to open and close gateways between dimensions by firing off Reishi constructs, basically allowing you and other people if you wish to go from one place to another via a portal. You will also be capable of firing off reishi cages which can entrap an opponent which are practically indestructible as well as closing that said person or persons off from the outside world, making them undetectable and unnoticeable to anyone outside of the cage, whilst the person or persons in the cage are still able to see and hear things outside of cage as well as detecting them. However, you must remember that they will be capable of holding Quincies like us, as they will simply break if a Quincies puts enough power into a blow against the cage. But with that said, welcome to the ranks of the Sternritter, Mikoto Yamato." - Bell said as Mikoto began to elegantly drink the blood inside of the cup, as she felt something being added to her very soul.

"I thank you, his majesty Yhwach Sama." - Mikoto said with a bow, causing Bell's stern facade to fall for a brief moment as a smile crossed his face, which he quickly stopped a moment later going back to his cold facade.

"Now, by the time the wargame starts, I expect you to have at least some sort of mastery over your Schrift as well as learning the advanced versions of Blut Vene, Heilig Pfeil, and Helig Bogen. You are dismissed." - Bell said, as Mikoto left the room with a salute, causing Bell to put a hand in front of his mouth.

"That was kinda cringy." - Bell said, causing Ais to raise an eyebrow.

"What does that mean?"

"Dont worry about it…" - Bell replied, shaking his head, as we now see Mikoto getting stopped in her tracks by Hestia.

"Hey Mikoto, now that you're finished with that little ceremony, would you like to get your status updated?" - Hestia questioned causing Mikoto to frown after hearing how Hestia saw the ritual of a Quincy attaining a Schrift as insignificant, only to nod with a smile after hearing how Hestia wished to update her status.

After going to a separate room, Hestia began to process of updating Mikoto's Falna, Hestia going wide eyed at the progress she had made which was tied with Bell's largest jump in status thus far, as she made a copy of it on a status sheet then handed it to Mikoto.

"THIS IS BEYOND ANYTHING THAT I THOUGHT POSSIBLE!" - Mikoto yelled, causing Hestia to nod with a smug expression.

"Well get used to it, for as long as you train as hard as you can, jumps like this won't be so uncommon." - Hestia said, causing Mikoto to dumbly nod, as she exited the room and made her way towards the training ground to practice her Schrift, as she saw that Lily was waiting for her.

"Were you already waiting for me?" - Mikoto Questioned.

"Yes actually, and congrats on becoming a member of the Sternritter." - Lily said, causing Mikoto to give a nod of gratitude as she began to focus as she drew a Reishi construct and fired it infront of her, creating a portal which opened to a weird dimension."

'It seems Bell was right, it really does allow her to open portals to other dimensions. But I need to warn her befo-' - Lily was thinking but her thoughts were cut short as she realized that Mikoto was just about to step inside the portal, so with her lightning jump, she quickly grabbed Mikoto's wrist, causing her to stumble backwards as Lily had a stern expression on her face.

"When you step in there, you need to make a floor made of Reiatsu or use Hirenkyaku, lest you fall into a never ending abyss as you fall forever or until you die of dehydration or starvation." - Lily said, causing Mikoto to nod with a gulp, as she slowly stood up and entered the portal whilst creating a platform made of her Reiatsu, Lilly following close behind as they continued going through the strange dimension they were now located inside of.

After wandering around for a couple of minutes, the pair decided to head back as Mikoto created another portal which opened the the training ground that they were previously in, causing her to smile in satisfaction as Lily let out a sigh of relief at finally leaving this creepy dimension.

When they exited the dimension, the portal closed as Lily let out a sigh, only for Mikoto to ask if she could practice using her Schrift, The Jail on her, causing her to let out another sigh of indignation, knowing that she didn't have much of a choice knowing that she would most likely get yelled at by Bell for refusing to assist Mikoto in training her Schrift.

With that, Mikoto began to send Reishi cages at Lily which after a couple of times, finally held steady but only for 5 seconds before shattering, as Lily just sat there patiently waiting.

After almost an hour of practicing, she finally achieved proficient enough control over her Schrift that her Reishi cages could sufficiently sustain themselves on the Reishi in the air until she wished for them to de-construct themselves. As after testing how durable they were, she soon found out that even though Lily was a Quincy, she still had to try rather hard to try and destroy the cage, as she stopped the training session and began to show Mikoto the more advance versions of Blut Vene, Helig Bogen, and Helig Pfeil work and how the difference in power is inconceivable and it also "looked cooler" in Bell's most humble opinion. This training continued over the next couple of day as Welf, Bell, Lily, and even Ais would swap training with Mikoto and going into the dungeon with the use of Mikoto's Schrift which allowed them to go anywhere in the dungeon that Mikoto has already been which is currently the 18th floor. As she would then once again use her Schrift to open a gate back the the manor so they could swap places, allowing them all to train whilst all of them were able to swap training Mikoto, as this method also helped Mikoto practice using her Schrift as well as Practice in using the advanced versions of Blut Vene, Heilig Bogen, and Heilig Pfeil. As throughout all of this training, Bell had them all under the effects of either a Poison Potion or its more potent variant as well as being under the effects of the Gravity bracelet, Bell having to get another one from Fels for Mikoto, which she was very grateful for. But she was also annoyed, as at the end of each day, she seemed to be the most fatigued and injured person in the Familia by far.

A few days later, it was finally time for the war game to begin, as Hestia updated all of their Falna's the day of the wargame before they were going to be stationed at the castle in which they will be defending.

The user can give a weaker version of this skill to other people if the user desires it. This weaker version causes the affected person's growth speed to be increased by 15x along with increasing their status limit to X1500. Side effects include allowing all familia members to be immune to charms along with allowing them to gain 2 developmental abilities upon a level up.

Because of the fact that Mikoto was put through the ringer by the other Quincies, it was only obvious that she was going to have the largest jump in her status.

So after gathering all the gear that they would need for the upcoming wargame, they patiently waited in the living room for when they would be escorted to the castle in which they would defend in the wargame. Suddenly, there was a loud banging sound at the entrance to the Wandenreich, to which Lily answered since she was the closest one there.

"Hestia Familia, you are to be escorted to the outskirts of Orario into the castle we had built by the Goibniu Familia, you will have 2 hours to prepare any defenses at the castle before the wargame begins." - A member of Ganesha Familia stated, as he left the Wandenreich towards the castle which would be defended by the Hestia Familia, as he was soon followed by the said Familia after Hestia wished them luck and began making her way to the area where the other gods and goddesses would be viewing the wargame.

The way towards the said castle however was completely silent which unnerved the member of the Ganesha Familia who was escorting them, as he had expected them to be a lot more talkative and even panicking at the upcoming conflict against the Apollo Familia.

After arriving at the Castle, the person escorting the group wordlessly exited the premises, as Bell got everyone's attention.

"Listen up!" - Bell said, gaining the 3's attention.

"Mikoto, you will be on the front lines and taking care of all the level 1 adventurers of the Apollo Familia, it doesn't matter how you do it or even if you have to kill them, don't even let a single one of the level 1 adventurers step foot inside of our castle. But when the executives and captain arrive, you have my permission to let them pass. The 2 hardest foes however will be Luan and Cassandra since they are both level 2, although if my premonition is right, they will not be very difficult to handle." - Bell said as Mikoto nodded in affirmation, as Welf tapped on her shoulder gaining her attention.

"I have made 3 different Magic Swords, they will each last for about 10 swings before they shatter as thanks to my practice, I have been able to extend the duration of which they last. I think you will need them the most." - Welf said, handing the 3 swords to Mikoto as she gave a nod of thanks before Bell once again continued.

"Welf, Lily. You are each going to be facing off against an executive, it doesn't really matter which one as long as I get to face the captain, you 2 will be seated on the right and left entrance to the throne room which is where I will be waiting for Hyakinthos, is that understood?" - Bell questioned, getting a nod from the 3 as they felt a small amount of Bell's Reiatsu beginning to leak off of him.

"The most important thing I need to add however, is that from here on out till the end of the wargame, you 3 will be treating me as the Quincy King instead of Bell Cranel, is that understood?" - Bell said as the 3 nodded as they took a knee, Bell adorning a small smile of satisfaction.

"I have said it once before, and I will say it once again. The opposing side must tip into despair. Hence, you must never despair: wrap yourself in hope as you've never felt before, so that everything other than us, will sink in despair. Good luck and may the elder gods guide us to absolute victory. Crush the Apollo Familia!" - Bell finished with a yell as all 3 gave a yell of affirmative, before quickly using Hirenkyaku to get to each of their stations, as Bell slowly marched to the throne room, the clacking of his white trench boots echoing throughout the chamber, as he slowly sat on the throne and folded his hands as any traces of the Reiatsu he was previously unleashing suddenly vanished, as silence took over the chamber leaving Bell alone with his thoughts.

'It's about time that not only the Apollo Familia, but the entirety of Orario learns of the might of the Quincies.' - Bell thought, as he patiently waited for the signal of the beginning of the wargame.
