A/N: Turns out I can't write sappy, slightly humouristic love stories without them being about ScoRose. Oh well. This was fun to write, so I hope you enjoy it just as much as I did!

"Rosie, where's that flower from?"
Rose Weasley was sitting in one of the courts in the Hogwarts castle, on a bench. Dominique Weasley, her only cousin in her year (and with whom she unfortunately had to share a dormitory), leaned over her shoulder to look at the single red rose in the red-head's hand.
"Nowhere," Rose dismissed her.
"Okay…" Dominique grinned. "Then, who's it from?"
"No one!" Rose blushed.
"Is that so?"
"Yes!"
"Not from a certain guy we might know?"
"No!"
"Oh really?"
"Yes, as I've already told you, no man is worth the aggravation. I don't need any in my life." Rose threw the Rose but Lucy Weasley, who was passing nearby, caught it.
"What's going on?" asked Lucy as she sat herself next to Rose.
"Rose has a secret admirer," fake whispered Dominique.
"He's not that secret, as far as I'm aware," giggled Lucy.
"You know I can hear you right?" Rose growled and got off the bench, hoping to make her way to the library, where her stupid cousins would be forced to shut up. They were always imagining secret lovers for Rose, no matter how untrue it might be. Though maybe this time…
Lost in her thoughts, Rose accidentally bumped into someone.
"Whoa! Steady there, Rose?" Oh, just her luck. Roxanne Weasley was helping her up and picking one of her books. Another one of her innumerable cousins.
"Yes, sorry. I've got my head elsewhere at the moment."
"Yeah, and we know where it is!" Dominique and Lucy had caught up with them and were laughing.
"Somewhere else, with someone," Lucy added.
"Someone? Rosie, who have you been hiding?"
"I haven't been hiding anyone!"
"Oh, then where did this rose come from?" Lucy taunted.
"Just give me that." Rose tried to grab the rose back out of her hand.
Roxanne looked quite amused now. Oh dear. This was not going good for Rose. "Is it the same someone I've seen you sighing and swooning about?"
"I don't sigh and swoon!"
"Oh, sorry. I must have confused that completely dazed and forlorn look on your face when you were lying on the common room couch with a piece of parchment clutched in your hands for something else."
"That was oddly specific," commented Dominique.
"Well, it was definitely what I saw."
"I did not do that!"
"Oh course, darling, then I'm sure you don't mind if we take a look at the same piece of parchment I saw you carefully put in your book earlier today," sniggered Lucy.
"No way! Just leave me alone!" And with that Rose walked away, decided to move away from her bunch of annoying cousins. Curse them for being so close to her age, therefore being at school with her and always bugging her! Rose was confident she wasn't being followed when she heard some more giggles from behind her.
"I'm telling you, she's walking exactly like a person in love!"
"Rose?" Oh fabulous. Even Lily had joined her other cousins now.
Rose immediately turned around.
"And how does a person in love walk, please?"
"Like you're always thinking of someone else, not quite paying attention to what you're doing."
"I wasn't walking like that."
"If you hadn't turned around to scream at us, you would have walked right into that tree," Roxanne pointed out.
Rose checked, and it was unfortunately true. A gigantic tree was right in front of her and she hadn't even noticed, (already that she had bumped into Roxanne). She had been too busy thinking about…
Rose blushed and stammered: "Hey! I could just be clumsy!"
"Please, Rose Weasley doesn't rhyme with clumsy," stated Lily.
"Umm, actually it does," whispered Dominique.
"Oh shoot," Lily whispered back.
"Okay, ignoring whatever Lily said, you're the least clumsy person I know, Rosie," Roxanne pointed out.
"And if we're talking about how clumsy you are, we could also talk about the forgetfulness," added Lucy.
"That's true!"
"I'm not forgetful!" Rose protested.
"In normal conditions, you're not. But you haven't noticed you're wearing two different shoes," said Roxanne.
"And you're only wearing eyeliner on one eye," said Lucy.
"And your bag is open," said Lily.
"And you forgot your wand on the bench," said Dominique," But since I'm such a fabulous cousin I brought it for you."
"Okay fine. I'm a little forgetful at the moment-"
"Little," scoffed Dominique.
"-BUT it's only because I'm stressed about exams."
"Please, you're the most prepared for the exams out of all of us." Roxanne rolled her eyes.
"Rose is in love, Rose is in love!" sang Lily.
"No I'm not!"
"Yes she is, yes she is!" continued Lily.
"I'm just going to ignore you. Now, thank you Dominique for taking my wand, but could you give it back?"
"No chance, no way! Not until you say you're in love!"
"But I'm not! Besides, who could I be in love with?"
As if on cue, Lily suddenly exclaimed: "Oh look! A certain blond Slytherin!"
Rose whipped her head around and saw with dismay it was only Molly Weasley, another one of the endless breed of cousins coming towards them. The girls burst out laughing.
"See!" squealed Lily, "In love!"
"No, I'm not!"
"What's going on?" Molly asked as she joined the girls.
"Rosie's in luuuuurve," Dominique told her. Oh great, now almost all her female cousins were aware of it. All that was missing now was for Victoire to turn out of the blue to come and taunt her too!
"Aww, that's so sweet!" Molly cooed.
"No, I'm not!"
"Rose, honey, don't be proud. You can tell us!" Lucy urged her on.
"Rose and Scorpius, sitting in a tree, K-I-S-" Lily was clearly in a singing mood this morning.
"Shut up!"
"Oooooh!" Roxanne had some nerve.
"How do you even know it's him?"
"AHA!" yelled Dominique. "I knew it!"
Roe blushed as she suddenly realised her mistake. "What, no!"
"Now, now Rose. There's nothing to be ashamed of," Molly tried to soothe her.
"Of course there is, Uncle Ron is going to go ballistic!" cried Lily.
"You're not really helping, Lily," commented Lucy.
"Guys, it doesn't matter because I am NOT in love!"
"Please, it's so damn obvious. You can say it."
"No I can't, because it's not true! Besides it's far too cliché!"
"It's not cliché, it's love!" Dominique added dreamily.
"Of course it is! IF and only IF I was in love with him it would totally be!"
"But why?" Lucy asked.
"Well, isn't it obvious. The two children of hated enemies falling in love. Please, talk about a Romeo and Juliet rip-off."
"It's true that Draco Malfoy probably wouldn't be too happy either," mused Lily.
"Shh!" scolded Molly, "But as long as you love each other, it doesn't matter."
"Yes, love conquers all!" Roxanne felt forced to add.
"Please stop drowning me in sappy romantic maximes. Besides, I'm not in love!"
"Rose is in love!" squealed Dominique, again.
"Just stop!"
"We're not stopping until you say it!"
"You're way off base! I just will not say it!"
"Come on!"
"No! Now, please leave me alone. I have somewhere I need to be."
Dominique rolled her eyes: "Fine, Miss In Denial, here's your wand." She handed it over. Finally!
"And your rose!" Lucy added cheekily.
"Good, I hope I'm not late because of you!"
"What is it even?"
"Oh, just a study session." Rose swiftly walked away before any of them could say anything more, leaving her five more or less red-headed cousins behind, though she could still faintly hear them.
"Pff, 'study session', more like a 'study date' if you want my opinion," she heard Roxanne say.
Rose ducked behind a column where she clutched the rose to her heart and an image sprang to her mind. "At least, to them, I won't say I'm in love."
